Basically in my au Vale is like, idek, a government spy that left the services after uncovering some scam that was going on but he was weirdly embroiled and had to leave to avoid prison. Marc is a mercenary for hire of sorts, couldn't be a spy for the country because his psychometric test deemed him a little crazy. So they hired by the agency and they are matched. They get to this beautiful villa somewhere in southern Europe in city. Bump into each other and realise they are supposed to be fake married for their missions. It's like, immediate chemistry. In the same house, thick sexual tension. Marc is blushing around Vale for no reason but they maintain some distance to work on their missions properly. Vale obviously aware of Marc's attraction and his own ability to draw people to him. They start fucking pretty early into their set up, but don't do the other domestic stuff that comes with it, don't really sleep in the same bed. It's intense hot dirty fucking and then back to work. Sex as a performance enhancement drug (for Marc atleast, Vale is a plain old hedonist). The company has them doing a bunch of crazy stuff all over Europe. They work well as a team. Vale has far more extensive experience and knowledge because he worked with the government. He's privy to information that helps them along in planning and strategy. Marc is great at the dirty work, remorseless at times. They have their first dangerous situation, Vale almost gets shot. And it affects Marc, he's shaken up. They come back and he's just clinging to Vale, unable to let him go, they finally sleep together the same time and Vale realises Marc is genuinely invested in this. Their fake marriage becomes a little less fake post that thing. I think over the course of more missions Marc catches up to Vale a little. Does a lot of his own research and reading. Vale gets a little paranoid about how Marc doesn't exactly need him anymore for the mental heavy lifting, and lbr physically Vale isn't at his prime and neither does he possess the ruthless physicality of Marc. They keep having these little skirmishes that don't fully rise to surface till a mission in Sepang. They are supposed to carry out an extraction where Vale gets injured and immediately thinks that Marc has gotten him injured so he has to take time off from field work for a while. Huge meltdown, almost compromise the mission itself. Decide to go their separate ways, some shenanigans ensue and they realise that the company might be instigating them to act out this way. Definitely a huge argument and the classic scene where they keep pulling out weapons from random places and shooting at each other while calling each other "honey" "baby" "sweetheart" "mi amor". Eventually they just start fucking. Marc crying as he gets fucked on the floor of the house they nearly destroyed. Telling how much they love each other. Finally decide they need to do something about this damn company if they want to be together. That's all I can think now but come back for more later!

Btw random: i heard u mention abt u in university so hows that going and whats ur majorr???? :)) And now the very very bad stuff: i messed up. not very uncommon you see, but very bad. my cousin whom i rllyyy love shes amazing shes like the andromeda to my sirius. nd my dad's side is very cruel to my mom before i ws born and they also shamed her for having a kid (my sis) that has problems (they refuse to tell me what it is but she has 2 problems idk the first one she has since birth and the second is that she had um.. men parts but when she was around 4/5 we founf out shes.. female? im a minor i rlly dont undersrand how ths works so..yeah. shes 8 now btw this year shes gonna be 9 y/o) basically very cruel people very very bad and so my cousin, whos from my dad's side, she came for like a sleepover thingy and my father commented on my mom's side and how they arent close to me even though they are my basucaly everything.. and in reply, i said how i like them and they are good and i said "my mums side is great... better than father side atlst" and she said "i can hear u yk" and i said that shes a excpetiion but when she wnt home she really felt upset and she had an exam but she stll didnt come to my house (my house is closer to her school so she stays here in exam time so it takes less tme in travelling) so my father cmpletly blamed me and now im so upset idek what to do i dont wanna apologize to her cz she doesnt know that i know that she said shes upset. my father confronted me about it and he got to jknow from my cousins mom so there was no direct contact but basically yeah thats it. i need help in what i should do to fix things again :( but this is the reason that simply talking wouldnt work and its rlly hard :( btw random: how do i start my microfic thing like do i just upoad a micfic or do i post smgthn else first if ykwim? another thing:

Aww you're so sweet! I'm not in university anymore, at least not in the traditional sense: I'm working on my master's degree. It's going.....not terrible lol. I'm majoring in ESL Education (English as a Second Language).

For your first question: I think this is a really good example of how talking through other people isn't the best solution. Do you have any way of getting in contact with your cousin directly? Because things are definitely going to be changed and exaggerated if you are talking through your aunt and dad. Once you talk to her, be truthful. Be sincere and tell her how important she is to you. I'm betting she'll come around.

For microfics: Nope, just go for it! You don't have to do anything beforehand, just start! I can't wait to see what you write!

For the last part: First, are you sure you friend is straight? If she definitely is, then yeah, it might not be worth it to say anything? But I mean, you could always try bringing it up casually. Like "Oh, I think you're really pretty!" and see what happens?

With the guy- I know it sounds cliche, but if your friend likes him, stay away. I've been there. I've seen friendships fall apart. It's not worth it, especially since you're not even sure of your feelings. I know I probably sound like a parent, here, but there was a full-on FEUD I experienced in eighth grade because two people were fighting over a guy and....yeah.

idek why I'm making this post. I suppose so I could simply organize my thoughts regarding her as a character?

Btw I might unintentionally exaggerate my words here, I don't think she's a LITERAK DEMON, she's a messed up teenager and I'm just curious Abt her character (as I actually like her)

She very, very clearly cares about status and popularity and appearing completely innocent

She is very adamant about feeling in control or in a higher position, she really cares about power for some reason

She cares a lot about money to the point where she'll get TWO rich boyfriend's for her to gold-dig (one of them being a college student 😨)

She definitely starts a lot of fandom discourse related to that hybrid princess show she likes bc shes too passionate Abt her ships and stuff. (THIS FEELS SO RANDOM TO THROW IN SORRY).

She seems to care a lot about things going her way and others going along w whatever she wants (?)

I feel bad for her why is she dating a college studen ehlp. is she that desperate someone pls save her

She clearly wants to impress lia w her jokes and girlbossing smh she's such a sappho

She probably hates being taken advantage of (as anyone does ofc) such as being blackmailed so she will try and find a way to get revenge

Both maria and lia were shown cringing at her attempts of trying to impress them both so I think she's sorta oblivious

Maybe she's SCARED to lose control? SCARED to be taken advantage of, to be disliked and that's why she's like this? As a form of defense?

She seems to have anger issues (?)

jilly's week in review?

I guess or something. Idek y'all, I was gonna try and do reviews but then I just rambled about what I did instead, so this is clearly gonna need a format revamp next week

READING

Finished Daughter of Witches

and also St. Peter's Fair, which I had started AGES ago and sort of lost track of, but I'm doing the January Challenge on TheStoryGraph and couldn't decide what to read next but needed to get my pages in, so I went digging for random shit and I have read it before and watched all the Cadfael mysteries so it's not like it was hard to get into to finish it so I could save my streak.😅

Read A House with Good Bones (on purpose from start to finish in one day!) because T. Kingfisher/Ursula Vernon is absofuckinglutely one of my favorites. (There's a thought here about my occasional forays into the horror genre, and how some horror is almost kind of cozy because it's about protecting what we love from what we fear, and that is very much a Kingfisher kind of thing, but that might need a new post and a more functional brain to figure out where I'm going with that.)

Listened to a little bit more of IT while doing housework; I'm not great at audio books except when I'm driving, but sometimes I can manage a little (and I didn't want to distract myself from dishes by picking up a new book instead). Stephen Weber is an excellent narrator btw, for anyone who's curious.

WATCHING

The husband was sick last week, and I was only sort of doing shit either, so he kind of just put the TV on and let it go and I definitely will not manage a nice list with links like I did with books. There was some M*A*S*H, (oh, I did finally watch the special that recently came out on Hulu), and RoboCop (largely because Thing 1 gave the husband the new game for Christmas) and several different Predator movies of various quality, and a bunch of other stuff I am not thinking of at the moment. I know I picked a couple and watched them myself but with everything else I can't remember what?

Also some Mythbusters when Thing 2 picked something to watch for awhile, which is pretty much always entertaining even when we're like: your sample size is nonexistent and just because you can't do it doesn't mean someone who knows what they're doing couldn't have done it so are you SURE you should have busted that? 😅

PLAYING

I got Garden Story for Christmas and got through the quest-lines and realized I was quite far away from all the upgrades, so I've been periodically poking at it and trying to get my villages/tools better before trying the Final Boss. I have had a good time with Concord though, it's fun, I'm just not sure the leveling functions, such as they are, are paced/balanced quite right? 😅 (Or perhaps I'm just Bad At Fighting In Cozy Games? This does seem to be a bit of a trend tbqh, probably why I liked Wylde Flowers' lack of combat so much.) I also have found VERY FEW of the memories/weird achievements so that's a thing I'm probably going to have to look up hints for soon-ish...

(I did finish Potion Permit last year, which is great, I recommend it whole-heartedly: the potion building mechanic is usually pretty solid, it has good characters, a nice aesthetic, I did actually mostly have fun rolling around and fighting things/gathering stuff, but I did reach the end of the main quest and then go... huh, is that it? just because it, yk, kept going after the finale but there didn't seem to be anything there beyond like, a couple personal quests that needed materials I couldn't unlock until the end.)

MORE ENTERTAININGLY I THINK, we did also play some board games

Paint The Roses is QUITE HARD with only two people even if you stick to the medium level whims; or maybe I'm just not that smart?!? We did in fact survive without getting our heads' chopped off by the Queen of Hearts, but we legit guessed the last two puzzles so. Dumb Luck™️ is not nearly as reliable as actually figuring out how to plot your plants better.

We did Escape the Dark Sector (with more people this time, tbf) on our first try though! That was pretty delightful. It is atmospheric and potentially almost deadly without feeling too awful at any point! Also I got to punch a tentacle monster!

Mice & Mystics can go dramatically bad if your dice aren't on your side and you do like, one stupid thing to compound that, and then if you're invested enough to start over you can suddenly realize you've been moving tiny plastic mice and bugs around the table for like four hours and still only got through the first chapter... but not regret it at all because you like your mice and are very proud of them for finally making it!

Can you tell we like co-op games? 🤣🤣🤣

(I did also do some rearranging so the game room was comfier, so like, win/win I adulted and played!)

THERE WAS NO WRITING OR CROSS-STITCHING OR PAINTING OR ANYTHING ELSE THIS WEEK, so uh. Clearly my balance of activities is bonkers and I should maybe get off the couch/game chair(s) a bit more often.

Hello studyblr community! How are you?

I’m sorry for not being active lately, I’m going through a lot of life changing events right now and I’m still trying to adjust to my new normal. On top of that, I’m trying to combat academic burnout even though I am very much drowning in homework and skipping lectures. What’s the point of attending lectures if you’re two weeks behind with the material, am I right? I don’t know… I’m trying so hard to catch up on stuff right before exams but cramming is never healthy.

My problem class this semester is definitely organic chemistry. Nothing against the subject, it’s just that my professor likes to teach literally a chapter a lecture and ramble about information that’s not on the exams or not learned until later orgo courses. His teaching style is so against my learning style so all semester I’ve been trying to teach myself the material. Needless to say, I’m already planning on retaking this class next semester 😪😪… the only good thing is that I met a girl who’s in that class and we’re going to start meeting up and studying together. Right now she’s the only thing pushing me to try and pass this class rather than give up and wait on retaking it. So… thanks to my random classmate for believing in me!

I also changed one of my majors. I’m now a biology major and not biochem. Idk, I didn’t like the superiority complex that exists in my chemistry department and the hidden rule that every biochem major is in premed. All the helpful information in the department was focused on premed, and I even had an advisor once tell me that it’s very surprising that I’m not in premed and then she proceeded to try and convince me to switch to it. In case y’all didn’t catch my drift, I don’t like premed. I don’t want to commit to something like that if I’m not 100% sure I want it. Therefore, I’ll stay out of it. Idek what I want to aim towards as a career, life keeps throwing curveballs at me and honestly, I might as well stay at my current office job cuz that’s my only job security for now. Hell, they even let me work from home. Idk, we’ll see…

That’s all for my long rant, I hope to be more active soon (that is, if I remember to post on here)

Okay, so, during the holiday season (during which I celebrate Hanukkah, Christmas, and my birthday... in 2022 all within the same 8 days... ) my mom gave me a "I don't know what you want so over the next year just tell me some things you want and I'll pay for them" gift, and I've already cashed that in twice - once for something I'll scream about excessively whenever it finally gets here (I have. no idea when that'll be. I just checked Amiami and it says "processing shipping," whatever the fuck that means.) The other time was to put in an order from @shandian-go's in-stock sale (which appears to be closed again?). The "must have" item that got me to make that purchase was 2ha Vol. 3 Chinese, which I wanted no matter what (and which I've already posted a little about the extras, but I'll gather them all some time and take pics, it came with SO MUCH STUFF ASFADFADG).

But if I'm already getting stuff, might as well get more, right? So I went through the rest and ordered a few things. The expensive parts were actually not for me - a book a friend wanted, and a birthday gift I'll also send to that same friend. But I treated myself to some lucky bags, because like... there's always a lot of merch that I like but don't love enough to pay the premium on "I MUST HAVE THAT SPECIFIC THING." I figured if I got a random assortment, odds were high I'd be entirely happy with everything in that random assortment, and it'd be cheaper than picking out specific individual items.

That order arrived nice and quick, since it was all things that were already with Mel in Canada, and yeah I was right, I'm happy with my lucky bags. I got three - one for TGCF, one for 2ha, and one for "all priest excelt TYK/SHL" (mine ended up containing two Guardian things, a SPL thing, and a Mo Du thing, which is about perfect since the fourth fandom option was Lie Huo Jiao Chou, which I'm least familiar with of the four).

Since they arrived (several weeks ago) I've been, uh. Savoring? Because I'm super busy and don't have time to really enjoy but just. poking at the box for a few minutes every few days has really helped keep my mood up.

Today I stole a few minutes to really start going through things, though. So, here's my TGCF lucky bag! A cute Hualian key chain of Hua Cheng comforting Xie Lian, a pretty pin, an adorable Xie Lian wedding chibi standee, and that gorgeous soldier Hua Cheng/God Please Crown Prince Xie Lian art.

As expected, I am utterly satisfied with this purchase. I'm gonna add the key chain to my keys today (where it'll join the Hualian chibi key chains I bought from ShanGo last year), and I really need to finish the quilt I've been working on specifically as a place to hang pins so I can hang the pin.

honestly i like reading things on ao3 because it's much more organized than tumblr and it makes reading a lot more easier, i can't really describe it? i guess the vibes on it are cooler ,, but honestly it can be overwhelming at first the amount of things there are on the site sksksk

LT Apartment AU

I'm just copy and pasting what I came up with on a whim in discord

Neighbor AU (apartments) Íthro lives on the third floor, Glanni on the second floor below Íthro, Robbie on the first floor and Sport on the highest floor like six or something Ithro jumping around doing his exercises and Glanni gets annoyed by all the stomping sounds, he often blasts music, one time he threw like potatoes at the ceiling bc he couldn't find a broom, (idek why he has potatoes maybe he was going throw them at ducks or something when taking a break from bulling the kids at the park maybe) as he's doing that he prolly hurts his back or arm or hip whatever cause he's in bad shape and walks like an old man so his fault. A few potatoes definitely hit him on the way down

Anyways Robbie does maintenance stuff for the people in the building, the owners Milford and Bessie live on the first floor a door away from Robbie, so Robbie bumps into them all the time even when he's being sneaky, Bessie somehow always finds him and starts chatting about random gossip or sum, they often exchange dessert recipes

Íthro thinks Glanni's grumpy mood is amusing he finds him funny and finds himself hoping he'll bump into him when he leaves for the gym in the mornings. But Glanni is not a morning person at all, he is a mess, comes out the door in pink bunny slippers and black thin silky robe that's way too short (he sleeps in the nude probs)

Sport and Íthro go to the gym every single morning, on days Íthro is not awake/ready before him (which has been happening a lot more recently🤨wonder is Glanni has anything to do with that) he waits at the bottom of the stairs on the first floor. Robbie coming out his door tired and dead inside holding a big Garfield coffee mug (BC EVERYONE NEEDS A GARF MUG I SWEAR) and gets his breakfast delivery (he orders from some pastry place nearby, gets little cakes and stuff delivered to him most mornings) and Sport sees him tries to make conversation, Stephanie sometimes pops out on her way to school, happy that they're getting along and skips out the building with the other kids not far behind her. Also thanks to @coda-clownery for the idea of making Afrám Íthro the cryptid of the building

Here's a layout of each person's apartment, but I just realized that Sport should be ten, and I might move things around with the numbers, like the numbers aren't in order or something just so I can have Sport as 10 and also staying in the same spot maybe

Also where Afrám Ithro is i feel like it'd be a sus ominous like empty/abandoned apartment that the kids are scared of

There's also another building next to it that's a bit smaller and worse, I just wanted Maggibæt to happen and include the mayhem town gang, i figured that the Mr kicker dude whatever could own the second building ig

I think it's a lil silly whack that the mayhem town gang and officer loli would live in the same building

Also Im prolly gonna stick with Ithro and Sport are brothers and Glanni and Robbie are cousins

As modern AU jobs.. I'm not sure

I feel like Ithro could be some sort of personal trainer or something. Robbie probably invents stuff and gets good amount of money but also lives off of like inheritance money, I don't even know what to say about Glanni, Idk a stripper lmao, Sport.. I'm not sure still thinking

I’m currently on a mcyt alien AU binge, so your Shooting Stars AU hits both that and my love for g/t! A few random question/ideas have popped into my head so here they are. / 1. Over the course of studying the humans did they ever notice the humans having contradicting habits from each other? / 2. Which was the first human to start warming up to an alien and which one was it? (1/3)

These questions were great to answer, thank you!!! I've had a bit of a mental block for this au (I'm so sorry to that one shooting stars ask that's still in my box, I promise I haven't forgotten you) and the questions helped me to get the ideas flowing again!

1. Wilbur isn't expecting much diversity in the subjects. He assumes it's a very small sample of the population after all, so when the humans start displaying different behaviors he's pleasantly surprised. He doesn't notice much about Tommy and Ranboo's habits as Tubbo is usually with them, but Tubbo sometimes talks about little things he noticed about them. Tommy is much louder than Ranboo, but even Wilbur had noticed that. Whenever they got food, Tommy would take it first, look it over very carefully, before splitting it evenly between the two. Ranboo would play with his hair a lot, both would pace and Phil would not. Phil and Ranboo both talked to themselves a little, although Tubbo thought he was talking to Tommy at first and didn't realize the difference until Tommy was asleep. Tommy would try to climb things, and Phil would hum to himself. All three were very fidgety and antsy, but especially Phil. (humans don't cope well with boredom, and Phil would probably have a lot of difficulty with that, especially since he was alone.)

2. Phil and Wilbur actually bonded the quickest, starting to form some sort of connection even before they knew for certain the humans were sentient. After a dissection scare and panic attack, Wilbur played some music on a guitar-like instrument to try and calm Phil down. It worked, and while Phil was still very wary, he stopped being as outright scared of Wil. Tommy and Ranboo warmed up to Tubbo pretty quickly after the situation changed, although they're both still scared of Wilbur for a while, Ranboo especially. Techno is almost the opposite. Once he's caught, he's scared at first, but starts to get used to Wilbur fairly easily. But for some reason, he's very freaked out by Tubbo at first. He gets over the fear pretty quickly, but for a while he's still way more wary of Tubbo then Wilbur.

3. Since the ship is out in space, there isn't really a day/night cycle. The crewmates sleep in shifts altered to their specific biological needs, and the humans have a lot of trouble adjusting to a good sleep schedule. Their circadian rhythm is completely thrown off. Ranboo and Tommy both have a slight fear of the dark, but since they're in Tubbo's room, they don't really have much trouble. The room is well lit when Tubbo's awake and has dim lights on during the night. Techno isn't scared of the dark itself, but he's got a newfound fear of what's hiding in it. He's in what seems like a dangerous situation, and he has no idea what could be in the vents of the ship. He isn't scared of the dark, but he gets incredibly anxious when there might be danger and he can't see anything.

4. Since most of the earth animals are very small in comparison to the aliens, they didn't get many animal specimens. They have the three humans, a few deer, a single cat, some birds, and half of a scooped up pond that's mostly fish. Most of the specimens they brought back are plants rather than animals, which is Tubbo's specialty.

5. There wasn't really a big tipping point that made them realize the humans were sentient. Instead it was more of a build up of a lot of little things that could still be coincidence, but all together were evidence. The fact that the humans are wearing clothes is one thing. By itself it wouldn't mean anything. In the eyes of aliens, what's the difference between wearing possibly natural fabrics and a hermit crab using shells as a covering? In other words, that one thing alone isn't enough. If Wilbur had been keeping all of them together, he might've been clued in a bit quicker at the way humans interact with each other. But he only had Phil, so the only time he saw them was for brief tests. Tubbo isn't an animal specialist, so he didn't notice. The main reason they started to get suspicious was the way the humans reacted. Not just to tests but to everything around them. They seemed too intelligent, too understanding. Until Phil had a panic attack over Wilbur dissecting an off-earth specimen, the scientist was still too disbelieving that such a tiny lifeform could actually be sentient. The last straw was when Tubbo found Techno, who had been living in the vents for the last several weeks.

6. I absolutely love the humans are weird stuff, and I think if this was the only alien au that I've thought about, I probably would've been doing more of that. I actually have an au that isn't even g/t that I thought about a while ago that has more of a focus on humans are weird tropes, which is why I haven't really done any of that with this au. Idek if I'll ever post that other au, so maybe I shouldn't be so picky, but I try not to reuse too many plot points in my aus, especially since I mostly write in such a specific genre type. So... in conclusion, I definitely am fine with doing some humans are weird type stuff, but it'll probably not very much. Both since I don't want to reuse something I might do in that other au and because a lot of the draw of the humans are weird is that the humans can be the terrifying or unnerving ones, and the focus for this au is more how the aliens are the terrifying ones. I might do it with some of the more entertaining aspects of humans though haha. We'll just see how it goes.

ramblings about unreality, the BoP, and the journal:

ngl i'm hella late to the party and i'm still not super familiar with what ideas and theories have been made regarding khux shit, unreality shit, etc. these are thoughts i had after rewatching recoded.

i know the maleficent/book scene isn't novel, but i wanna ramble about it anyway.

a question i had when listening to some khux talk: is it agreed that MoM made unreality? bc we know he hid there, right. idk how or since when, i'm guessing it's where he originally disappeared to.

But what's our understanding of that scene in the khux finale, where MoM's telling Darkness about the fictional world, the world he couldn't even conceive? Where neither light or darkness rules?

i've only watched that scene a few times, and i'm not clear on whether MoM's talking about the fictional world as if it already exists, or something he's envisioning.

pff i can't even organize my thoughts lmao. So, my guess at this point is that MoM was envisioning/imagining this world where neither light or darkness rules (and where voices and eyes can't reach but idk what dictates THAT particular rule). By simply imagining/thinking of it, i don't think it resulted in that world becoming real. Cause i thought he said something about that idea having to be "realized", but rewatching that specific scene, he doesn’t. If anyone knows for sure if he ever mentioned something like this i’d appreciate confirmation. [EDIT: MoM does specify putting your imagining into realization in the fan translation, which is more direct/literal and often times more accurate than the official localization…🤷🏽‍♀️]

But—IF it's not enough to /just/ think of it, and you do have to literally put it into realization—. My interpretation of what that means is, you know, putting the idea into action. /Making/ it real. Manifesting it. And that can happen any number of ways. Namely, in this case, putting it on paper. In the Book.

THE BOOK, UGH. The recoded scene. I know it kinda basically confirms that the book can create worlds but again i wanna scream about it a little.

But first. So far, i have that idea. Now as for the actual sequence of events, mmm. My brain goes all over the place for that one. Bc before rewatching those scenes, the question took form of "what came first? the chicken or the egg?" bc an idea i had heard was that Verum Rex, the game, could be a documentation of what's going on in unreality. And i've been flip flopping on that.

for me it would depend on whether unreality as we see it was spawned (that's the word i use) as soon as MoM originally thought of it, and wrote it down. Bc then Verum Rex could be made in the image of that world. On the other hand, if Verum Rex is like, 'additional' realization of the /idea/, then that would mean the game came before (most/some of) the world. But i think the first option is more likely.

So MoM conceived the world --> MoM wrote about it in the Book --> the world became real --> SOMEONE made the world into a game

and that gets into my thoughts about who tf has access to unreality, at least to the extent that they can see into it and observe it, and how. and obv, square enix (in kh) made the game. and square enix is literally "the powers that be" so. kinda an obvious option. but anyway.

i covered my main points ig. so time to scream about how tf this even could happen and why. not that i have any actual answers bc how tf could a book make worlds.

recoded. GOD, RECODED. If i didn't already ramble about HOW the Book could make worlds then i'm about to.

idek where to start lmao. Maleficent. she brings up the book, after she and pete have been rescued/released from the datascape.

(And what IS the datascape exactly? WHAT does it encompass? is the datascape in recoded strictly the data made from the journal? like, could there be multiple datascapes based on different source materials, or based in different devices/computers? ????)

“Yes, considering legend has it the book can conjure, making an entire world filled with beings and powers that have yet to exist.”

So that's just there. We've seen this. So this is assuming we can take the legend as (probable) fact. I'm assuming the Book really /can/ make worlds.

this next part about fairy tales i'm including to like cover my bases and see if anyone has thoughts about it bc i have not thought too much about the concept of fairy tales in kh and what it could mean:

“Really? A book that can just make up a world? I don't know. That sounds like nothin' more than fluffy, pink, kids' fairy tale stuff. It just sounds too good to be true"

“Ah, but who’s to say a fairytale’s not true?”

So that's that about fairy tales. (omg cinderella, dreams coming true, true love's kiss, sleeping beauty, WHHHHH--)

“And I ask you, how does that differ from this world they call the ‘date escape’?”

THIS BITCH. (the quote not maleficent lol) I know that early theories and probably current one's still, suggested unreality/quadratum/other-shibuya were data worlds, or something akin to them. and i mean, yeah, i wondered too, bc of the glitchy stuff with sora’s heart station in the secret episode.

but also, like. this whole world manifested "outside" of kh's reality. like, is it even possible that it COULD be /just/ data? As in, could data just exist on it's own like that? (or is there more? if the part of unreality we see /is/ data, is it only the data aspect of a bigger whole? i've seen a theory talk about this, is why i even bring it up)

If what we see of unreality so far is data, like, does that data exist within something? does it /need/ to?

and if unreality is data, like. i feel like it'd have to be different than that data worlds we see in kh. pure guesswork, but i feel like it's /more/ than just data worlds. /Bigger/.

"how does [world created by the BoP] differ from [datascape of the journal]?" thats the thing, too. essentially, what's the difference between the Book, and the journal.

sHEESH i just rambled in my notes. it's a bunch of guesswork, and idk if i should even put it here. gimme a sec.

okay well might as well address this while i’m here. my guess is that there IS no difference. there is no difference between the BoP and fucking jiminy’s journal, ability wise. We know the BoP doesn’t actually predict the future, it was simply written in the past after the future had taken place.

inherently, there’s no difference.

the difference between their CONTENTS however. one accounts the future (that has already happened, this is kinda important imo). the other records the past.

two things they both share. 1) the events in both books already happened 2) we saw them happen. in reality.

just like the past is fixed and unchangeable, so is the future (bc it’s already happened). We know this.

so what ISNT fixed and unchangeable? if literally all of time IS?

fiction.

okay, well, duh.

this is where my ideas become pure assumptions.

my guess is that like i said, neither of these books holds any special power over the other. and if my next guess is right, then neither of these books holds any special power over literally any other book (in kh).

this has no bearing on my main points above. (did MoM not discover unreality, did he THINK of it? i think he did. did MoM write his idea in the BoP? i think he did. did writing it down result in the idea manifesting as a world? i think it did.)

the idea is that ANY book [any MEDIUM, for that matter (books, shows, movies, games)] can create worlds. THIS world (or these, that we’ve seen in the secret ending and secret episode) is just the only one we’ve been shown.

i could not tell you how. and i could not tell you why. the only guess i currently have is that fictional ideas (given a medium) create worlds bc that’s Just How Things Work in kh. like, it’s literally just the laws of physics of kh.

For SOME fucking reason, fictional worlds given a medium spawn real worlds, outside of kh. hence, unreality. (bc they’re outside of kh reality, and bc they’re Not Real. fictional)

What about the BoP and the journal then? The shit in there doesn’t manifest as a separate world because it has already manifested in reality. That’s why i was saying it was important that the future already happened. bc if you wrote about a hypothetical future, not simply recorded the future as witnessed through your time traveling eyeball, then that would therefore be fiction. even if it’s based on the real world, this hypothetical future would not consist of real world events. An AU, basically. like real world=canon, hypothetical future=noncanon (fanfiction oop) (nonfiction vs fiction)

so if you wrote your fake future shit, it would hypothetically spawn as a world in unreality. IF the idea of the creation of worlds through fictional ideas given a medium pans out lmao.

On the other hand, the power to create worlds really could be special to the BoP or MoM himself. but the reason i don’t assume that in the first place is due to his wording in his khux scene.

“If you imagine hard enough, you can make anything a reality.” (maybe it’s just phrasing. maybe only he has the power and he’s just not specifying it but 🤷🏽‍♀️)

this brings me to Pete in kh2 LMAO LEGIT i just remembered that one theory video about how the fuck pete manifested a whole ass time capsule world by WISHING for it. if all it takes is JUST IMAGINING (in the case of fictional ideas) and WISHING (in the case of real world events), that would throw this whole post out the window lmao.

if imagining ISNT enough, and you DO have to go through the step of /realizing/ your idea, by giving it a MEDIUM, then.

and the reason i stick so much to the concept of giving things MEDIUMS is bc of khux. and this is all based on the english versions of the game.

at this point i’m not even connecting random dots, i’m scribbling all over a blank page but. it reminded me of time travel. to time travel, you leave your body behind, resulting in just a heart. to restore the body, the physical form, you need two things at your destination. Someone with memories of you, and a medium.

a mental/non-physical element, and a physical one.

memories could equate to imagining. a medium to restore the physical form could equate to a medium through which to express a fictional idea. and these two things combined results in a physical manifestation. Except one process restores real people in reality, and the other process creates people/places in unreality. (bc worlds don’t time travel or do they oh god)

the likely thing is that these two things aren’t related at all, esp since i’m working with the assumption that the second process even exists.

there’s also this random google definition of the word medium as it relates to computers: “a particular form of storage for digitized information, such as magnetic tape or discs” 🤷🏽‍♀️

another random idea/question regarding the process by which we’ve seen mediums result in worlds. the journal was converted into data with mickeys fucking macbook computer/machine. and that resulted in the worlds and people written about in the journal being recreated as data, hence data worlds and data characters. (and real people can enter data too without necessarily being data themselves but that’s a random note)

would the writings in the BoP require a similar process? or any other book/medium for the matter? obviously it wouldn’t be the exact same process or it’d just result in a data world, and a fictional data world would just be a video game at that point. is writing it at all the process? i mean i already assumed it is but just thinking.

i thought maybe Verum Rex could have been the process for this world specifically. The video game could be the writing converted into data but i don’t think the time aligns. Like, Verum Rex is like the best selling game right now. and MoM conceived and potentially wrote the idea down back in the age of fairy tales. I don’t know what time shenanigans could explain that time gap.

imo the wildest part of this whole thing is just the assumption that writing down a fictional idea results in the creation of a whole ass world in a whole different plane of existence lmao. like i said, i could not guess as to why this would be the case, only that it could just be part of the physics in kh world. Action, reaction. Conception, manifestation.

if anything, this whole concept of ideas becoming worlds would just be a fourth wall thing. get an idea, put it on paper, make worlds. ofc everyone has recognized the meta-ness of all this lmao i’m here trying to rationalize it in-game.

i had more quotes i didn’t add lol, in regards to the similarities between the BoP and the journal. it’s kinda additional stuff about why i do or don’t assume the things i do. (the first maleficent quote is the biggest tho for me)

“Don’t you think it might just be worth our while to search for a connection? Perhaps there’s a link of some sort between that so-called journal of theirs and the Book of Prophecies.”

(“so-called” why this phrasing? is it that maleficent suspects the journal is more than it seems? is it just the eng dialogue or just maleficent’s speech pattern?)

at this point i’m mostly gonna copy/paste my ramblings, so it’s gonna be messier:

So clearly they’re telling us to LOOK for the connections between the journal and the book. is it for proof that the book of prophecies CAN make worlds?

and also, does it make worlds OUTSIDE of kh BECAUSE you can’t change fate? it depends on the power of the book, and what gives it that power. (if it’s a power exclusive to the BoP after all)

lmao admittedly, this can be encapsulated by stuff Spuuky said during one of his streams about how Jiminy’s journal is OP bc you could create literally anything by writing it down bc converting it into data would make it real, and able to directly affect and interact with the real world. And at that point i was like bruh it’s not the journal it’s the machine but??? LMAO ARE THEY SO DIFFERENT AFTER ALL, i hate this game

and, another random question, does stuff from unreality manifest in kh? and if it does, does it do it on its own or would someone in kh need to access unreality and carry the ideas back over to kh? i already asked this earlier, and my end assumption for now was that verum rex did NOT just leak into kh by accident, someone brought the idea over. and the reason i don’t think it was MoM is because i’m guessing MoM doesn’t work at square enix in kh (nomura is MoM theories incoming lol). And MoM is hiding in unreality (tho he seems to have been coming back to kh every so often when he sees fit, such as his intervention with xehanort).

Harry released a trailer for the Eroda video, a story about a boy who struggles with being gay peculiar until fate leads him to someone who shares his struggles. Will the boy's act of kindness lead to them both finding happiness?The fairy tale like structure of it all suggests yes and someone who heard Adore You told us it's a happy love song (though others say they sobbed but does that contradict? Idek). Louis meanwhile released Be Gay Do Crime the video, in which the the main character (coded as a Louis stand in) outwits Simon an unpleasant older man who forces him to do dirty work for his (the older man's) own financial gain, but he (the protagonist) escapes with his beloved, who Simon the man had nearly succeeded in tearing him apart from. Oh and of course in both the protagonists nearly drown to escape the pressures placed on them but do not and also they wear masks. Also Louis himself makes off with all the money at the end of his, basically there is one hell of a lot of fucking winning happening here.

Harry is doing Live Lounge Dec 18 omg, and will host the Late Late Show on the 10th! He sent a video message to a Fine Line listening party in Amsterdam, where they played the Harry songs obviously but also KMM, WMI, and Home, a song that is nearly acted out in the Eroda material and a heck of a strange pick from the 1D catalogue to be random. Rumored lyrics were leaked! Spoilers: 'she sleeps in his bed while he plays pretend' (allegedly from She), even more lyrics about being in the kitchen, and the soon to be immortal 'beep boop beep.' Eroda got their account verified, tweeted a lot, and Harry and Eroda have cute fish emoji on twitter. (HAYYY BTW how you like your "too cool to be just a pop star" mystery now condescending gamer fuckboys? Their clownery is exceeded only by fans trying to make sense of it as anything other than gay as fuck, and honestly y'all should team up and find gross extremely heterosexual love, it's a match made in hell.) We're told Adore You is the first 'official' single from Fine Line, umm okay? Like Watermelon Sugar I can see, it was kind of an extra, but sorry Lights Up baby, with your video and massive media hype and everything! Ouch.

Louis was at the first Walls listening party; they heard four songs and got to meet Louis. He did a long radio spot where he says that about 85% of his lyrics are autobiographical and factual, accidentally curses repeatedly, and admits to pitting his lads (uh his friends that is not his balls) against one another in the boxing ring (Oli serenades you with Abba and you treat him like this? For shame!) Louis says that although this is the last part of the video series they plan to release a version of all three with some more 'glue' to tie them together. There's an audio snippet of Walls at the end of the new video and it sounds SO GOOD I can't believe we have to wait until late Jan for it... Lucky listening party attendees.

Liam was profiled in the Guardian today: same content we've been seeing, which is to say, it's extremely worrying, things that are hard to read someone you care about saying. He presented with Rita Ora at the British Fashion Awards this evening in London. He posted lots of LP1 stuff including new song teases! Snippets of unheard songs were posted to his Instagram!

Niall is in Australia! He's excited to see his friends there and doing lots of press, and the fans are perhaps a little too excited to see him: it seems there may have been an unpleasant car chase incident and Niall tweeted about having his claustrophobia triggered. Ugh. He says he's really nervous about SNL and he congratulated Harry on doing the double duty, he says the Beatle he'd be is Paul McCartney, "the cute one," and finished the Little Things lyrics on ig with the missing "sing it!" There are mummerings of a collab coming and many are eyeing the number of times he's mentioned Halsey lately. Or is Put A Little Love On Me coming? He says he has a 'wedding song' soon and Sirius tweets that he might have something this weekend but is it a release or, like, an interview.
