July 10, 2015, Dear Evan Hansen held its first ever performance at the Arena Stage in Washington DC. This musical quickly grabbed the attention of many Broadway lovers, bringing in a new and younger demographic. Set in a high school, the musical follows the story of Evan Hansen, a young man who suffers from intense social anxiety that affects most areas of his life. When a fellow outsider at his school named Connor Murphy commits suicide, through a series of events it appears to the Murphy parents as if Evan was their son’s friend. Now caught in a lie he can’t seem to escape; Evan is thrust out of his role of a “nobody” and into the spotlight. A modern musical that is both emotionally complex and relatable, it won eight Tony awards after moving to Broadway including best musical. Showcasing a brilliant score, captivating story, and the voice of original Evan Hansen Ben Platt, it’s a hard show to not love. It even surpassed its “show” medium by being adapted into a novel and starting the social media movement #youwillbefound which emphasizes the importance of normalizing conversations about mental health to prevent suicide or feelings of emptiness. Impactful, beautiful, and informative, today we wish a happy 7th birthday to Dear Evan Hansen.

Playing an emotional video game with the Genshin Men

A/N: Managed to squeeze a short and sweet Indie game (that hit me in my feels) into my busy schedule at the moment and now I can't stop thinking about playing Games with an emotional story with the Genshin men... There aren't many men included in this brainrot because this was just a random shower thought. I could throw it on my WIP pile and flesh it out at some point if you want.

Neuvillette would put his arm around your shoulder while you start crying over what is going on in the game. And while he wouldn't outwardly cry it suddenly starts pouring outside.

Alhaitham would be surprised to suddenly see tears streaming down your face as you're playing the game. He isn't sure how he should react or console you. He would hesitantly lift a hand and begins stroking your back and put your head on his shoulder in silence.

Kaveh watched you play the entire time and gets heavily invested in the game as well. So when the emotional scene comes up you're both just bawling together on the couch. He's definitely the type of guy who would discuss everything about the game in depth with you later on.

Wriothesley starts massaging your scalp with his free hand as he watches you play. And he doesn't want to admit it but the game too hit him into the feels. So he attempts to hide his face from your field of view and blinks some tears away, while being your shoulder to cry on.

Every time I rewatch TFATWS, I can't help but notice - Bucky has the TV on. He's waking up from a nightmare to a turned on TV and since he doesn't have roommates, it's probably safe to assume he left it like that on purpose.

We know why he's sleeping on the floor, Steve had the same problem, the bed is too soft. But there's another reason why he's sleeping in the living room, and why the TV is on, and especially on something as neutral as a sports channel.

I wonder if it's simply because he hates the quiet. If his mind wanders too much when there's nothing for him to focus on, if his thoughts get too dark, if his enhanced senses are reaching for every small sound that a normal person wouldn't catch, every creak of the building, every whistle of the wind, and he can't fall asleep.

Or if it's also because of the nightmares. If when he jerks awake into darkness and silence, he panics. I'm back there, I'm trapped, I'm frozen and tortured and controlled, I'm a machine and a monster.

But when he hears the TV, the muted cheers and the sports comentator, and sees the light reflected over the living room, it ground him back into the present.
