I cannot stress this enough,

Layla El Faouly is everything beyond what I imagined. She's the first live action Arab superhero. I cried my eyes out when she saved that girl, because I never got that growing up. As a little Arab girl, all I wanted was someone like me, who speaks my language and looks like my family and friends, and now there is and I truly hope beyond everything that she stays in the MCU.

Her potentional is indescribable and we deserve to see more of her.

Steven Grant (would focus on the dress)

You were often invited to art galas and gallery unveilings due to your line of work.

That means you had to keep up with appearances, especially during black tie events.

Sometimes, if schedules between Marc and Jake allowed him, he would always be your plus one.

Yet you also had that small bit of joy dressing up outside of work just for its own sake.

Knowing his reaction to Layla’s armor during the Cairo incident, he would forget everything else and decide to fawn over you.

“Darling, you look absolutely beautiful. Your nails – they can poke an eye out – but they are a gorgeous accent to that clutch bag.”

Among the others, Steven had a better eye on style, and if he wasn’t so fidgety and often self-deprecating, he would fit in with the socialites without question.

“Isn’t it a little too much?”

You gave him a little twirl and posed for him, sticking out your leg to show off the high slit of your evening dress.

Steven shook his head, a little too aggressively that sent his curls flying.

“No! It’s perfect. A little too perfect,” he muttered that last part.

Oh? You smiled slyly and slowly made your way to him.

Steven’s cheeks warmed at your movements, so graceful that he thought you were gliding across the wooden floor of his flat in those heels and flowy dress.

 Steven couldn’t gasp out the allurement you had on him when you pressed your palm to his cheek.

The tips of your long nails tickled the start of his hairline, and he inwardly groaned at the thought of you running your fingers through his curls and scratching at his scalp.

You were about to lean in when Steven painfully pulled away.

“Come on, darling. We’re gonna be late. Let me grab my jacket, and I’ll be good to go.”

A serpentine hiss escaped from your deep red lips, something Steven thankfully missed.

“I’ve been thinking of skipping. Let’s just have a night in.”

Steven looked at you with that wide-eyed lost puppy look.

“Don’t be silly, darling. I can’t wait for them to mistake you as the painting with how gorgeous you look.”

It was only until the elevator ride down did Marc and Jake yelled at him from the reflections over how he completely missed your invitation to stay in.

Marc Spector (would focus on the nails)

Would be very snarky about them at the beginning.

“How can you even hold a paintbrush with those? Much less your tenegre swords?”

In between missions, you may have to replace your nails, quite often, but with you kept them as long as you could…

… and sometimes even enough to inflict serious damage.

Bakunawa is a very proud deity, sometimes rivaling Khonshu if you would ignore the self-righteousness.

His prideful serpent-like behavior rubbed off on you by killer outfits and makeup that often resemble the scales that grew a place in your heart over the past months.

Maybe the outfits and makeup you saved on special occasions, but the nails were a constant.

Marc would never admit it, but he loves it when your nails change very often.

It reminds him how beautiful you are but can also be lethally dangerous.

The first time he found out about your frequent trips was when he went on a frenzy looking all over for you in London.

You mentioned you would be at the art studio that day, but the old man there said it was your day off.

Why would you lie?

Did Harrow’s crazy disciples find you again? What if it was someone from your village who managed to track you down?

But no.

You were chatting and giggling with a nail aesthetician who you were talking with in your native tongue at a high-end salon in downtown London.

You specifically turned to her because she was the Crawley to your Steven, and not many people in London would notice your incessant babbling over your three boyfriends… and your girlfriend who is always away on business trips.

Marc wanted to be mad, but he could settle being annoyed for now.

He knew why you lied. It was now his chance to be honest about it.

About how you actually looked hot with those nails.

How he was happy for you that you had some semblance of self-care after you go on missions with him and Khonshu.

Maybe he’ll tell you those words later.

Or maybe not.

“Was that your boyfriend just now?”

You smiled and continued to glance at him walking away and back down the street from the mirror.

“Yep. He’s just being a worry-tart. Always.”

“What design are we going for this week?”

“Something white and gold. Maybe a lunar design.”

Jake Lockley (would notice your makeup)

Jake is obsessed with your body, especially your face.

He could stare at your eyes for forever if he could.

One of his favorite moments are mornings after you stay the night.

He would just watch you from across the bed doing your makeup while holding a handheld mirror.

Jake offered once to hold the mirror for you.

You ended up being late for a meeting with your client because he became a little too distracting with all his eye-fucking staring.

He knows you love glitter and how you never skip on putting shimmers.

And he knows you know that he absolutely loves when you go out with the body glitters and chunky glitters.

Jake loves when your scales from Bakunawa’s iridescent armor emerge and shimmer into an array of colours under the lights.

Something about the power and confidence it holds.

It makes him want to worship you more than he already does.

So when you try to replicate that look during fancy galas, it would take all of his self-control to keep his hands on the wheel when he drives you both to the venue.

However, when the event is over, it’s all fair game.

You would be his own personal art show.

Because that is what you are to Jake.

Something to be revered, a feast for the eyes, art.

Often times, Jake wouldn’t even do anything but just hold you – skin-on-skin contact.

As the protector alter, Jake was often stern and always on alert.

But with you in his arms, all the tension in his body leaves by staring at something so beautiful as you.

THE MOON BOYS REACTING TO Y/N FROWNING (AND BEING INSECURE) IN FRONT OF THE MIRROR

🍓Steven Grant 🍓

He doesn't notice you frowning at first.

I think Steven would go up and join you, looking in the mirror together.

Maybe he thinks you're admiring your outfit and he wants to join too (can this man get any cuter? 🥺🥺)

"Our pants kind of match! That's awesome" Steven smiles while looking at your face for a reaction.

And that's when he sees you frowning.

Still think about the pants. "No- no? Yeah, maybe they aren't the same color."

You tell him how you feel insecure about your body whenever you look in the mirror.

Great way to shatter his heart entirely.

"Noooo, no, you can't feel like that love; you're amazing! You're wonderful! Please don't be sad."

After that, you could feel much better and maybe forget about all this, but Steven doesn't.

He gets very serious whenever he sees you walking toward a mirror (or just if any mirror is in your way). He doesn't want you to get a flashback about that bad memory!

I think Steven definitely trips on himself at least once when trying to distract you from seeing a mirror.

*see you looking at the mirror frowning* *doesn't think much and immediately looks away or continues doing what he intends to*

He will go plop down on the couch, legs spread, and just try to relax a bit (this man needs a really good massage).

After awhile, if you are still staring at the mirror, he will notice.

"You okay?" He raised one of his eyebrows when asking, "Women always find something to dislike about themselves, huh?"

"I'm serious, Marc, I just..." You turn to talk to him with a pout.

Marc let out a small sigh when he saw your face; he doesn't want you to waste time being insecure about yourself. "C'here on the couch with me?" he asked.

Marc waits for you to come over and trap you in his big and strong arms (he won't let go any time soon).

"Well, isn't taking a nap on the couch much better than standing there? C'mon, baby, you look like you need some sleep."

Marc smiled and gave you a kiss to make all the bad thoughts go away too.

What a man. Waste no time to come up behind you and hug your waist.

He would kiss your neck too (because that's how he is oh my lord).

Jake worships and adores your body, so he thinks you're simply thinking the same.

"¿Le gustaría ir de compras? (Would you like to go shopping?)"

He rests his head on your shoulder and looks into the mirror, now noticing your frowning face.

Immediately ask, "What's wrong?" or "Are you in a bad mood?"

"No.... Jake. I just don't think I look good these days."

He gets surprised and confused at what you're saying.

Jake shows you so much love and support (and I mean SO MUCH).

He would gladly fight anyone who says bad stuff about you; he never thought your hater would be.... yourself.

It makes him all mad and fussy lol

Marvel characters react to you being upset

Moonknight

Steven- He would notice you feel upset when you are in bed much more than usual. He would plan out a self care day for the both of you. He'd buy skin care, bath bombs, and new 'aesthetic' clothing. He would make you your favorite teas and would make healthy snacks to share with you.

Marc- Marc would immediately know that your upset. He would start off by giving you more affection and making sure you know how much he loves you. After a few days if you seem to not be getting better he'll have a talk with you to see what's wrong. Eventually in the end the two of you would've solved whatever had been upsetting you.

Jake- He would notice when you start acting differently around him. Whether it's randomly acting more or less energetic he'd notice. He'd clear out both of your schedules and plan a vacation for the two of you. He'd pick something you like, maybe a beach, a hotel in the city, or renting a cute cottage house. He'd spend time with you doing whatever you chose to do. He'd go to stores, museums, parks, restaurants, or just stay home and relax. You'd both have fun and it would be a nice break from your usual life.

Loki

Loki would notice right away when your mood starts to change. He'd buy you a set of gifts to make sure you know he cares. There'd be jewelry, snacks, and other things you had told him you want. He would also gift you a dress and would convince you to dance with him. He would play his favorite music and would have plenty of fun with you.

Bucky

Bucky would take a few days to notice. When he does he immediately feels guilty. First he would convince you to start being more active with him. He would go on runs with you in the mornings and have you help him train. If that made you miserable he would start researching about mental health. He would talk to you and help you decide what method would help you best.

Stephen

Strange would know when you start feeling upset. He would know how much you've struggled and would do anything to make it all better. He'd buy you things you've told him about, and would plan a nice date. After your date he would invite your and his friends over to do something fun like games or a movie night.

Natasha

Natasha would notice you were starting to act differently. Eventually when you tell her she isn't supposed. The moment you tell her she immediately helps you. She'll cook your favorite meals and would prepare for a movie night. Natasha would have you help cook and the two of you would have fun all night. Eventually having a "mental health movie night" would become a monthly, sometimes weekly event.

Peter

Peter would notice immediately because of his powers. He would start spending more time with you, making sure you know he loves you. He'd plan dates and even have you sleep over at his house a few times. If you still felt just as bad he'd talk with you about it. He'd see if you felt comfortable with therapy and make sure you know it's okay to vent with him when you need him.

Steve

When Steve would notice you're upset he would start including you more. He would convince you to go out with him and Bucky and the three of you would have a fun day in the city. After he would relax with you in bed. He'd help you get into healthy habits you were starting to grow out of and would help you get back into the right mindset.

Tony

The day you come home upset Tony immediately clears up both of your schedules. The two of you would have a vacation to a place of your choice. He'd plan everything and would make sure your only doing things your comfortable with. He'd buy fun hotels that you'd enjoy and find activities that you'd like to do. He would do the planning unless you wanted to help. Either way both of you would enjoy your vacation together.

Matt Murdock

Matt would notice that you were upset fairly quickly. He would give you make sure to spend time with you more than he does and make you go out with him. If you still felt bad after that you and him would just talk about it and see if you can get to the bottom of the problem. After you do all of that he would relax at home with you until it all felt better.

Wanda

Wanda would be very worried when she realizes your upset. She'd use her powers to get an idea of why you are upset. She'd solve whatever was wrong as soon as possible. If it was school or work she would clear out your schedule and give you a break. If you felt left out she'd make sure to give you more attention. No matter what was wrong she'd find a solution and make you happy.

Bruce Banner

Bruce would set up a nice relaxing date for the two of you. He knew you had been upset the past few days so he wanted to do something special. He'd make snacks for the two of you to share while you both watched your favorite shows and movies. After you finished a few movies he'd surprise you with a few gifts. Small things that made him think of you. You'd continue watching TV until the both of you fell asleep together on the couch.
