Every person's entry into k-pop begins with an awe at the new world you are exposed to. A world of goodlooking idols and fun content and vibey music and groups with whom you vibe. You find comfort and happiness with them and their music and you can't stop watching things about them. It's all cool. And then you feel overwhelmed with the overflow of content, so you stay away from it and then slowly it blends in with your life. You grow out and grow with it at the same time.

After a while, it isn't about a bias or a good looking person. Ofcourse you can still admire how beautiful someone looks or go crazy at how hot someone is. But you start seeing them majorly as artists. Artists capable of making wonderful music. Ofcourse wonderful is subjective. But you genuinely are intrigued and grow more and more curious about how a musical piece is created. The lyrics, the story and the process.

And that's when it gets to a different level of beauty. You see them not just as people who give you comfort in a healthy parasocial aspect but people dedicated to their craft. When you have seen a group with people of different personalities and have heard their collective music, you are also curious to see what individual creativity can they bring in with their own individual processes.

There are stories, struggles and wisdom all along the way. Lyrics written that introduces you to new stories and emotions, lyrics that validate your emotions and lyrics that comfort you.

So no, you don't care what sort of personality analysis is done on a celebrity whose real self we will never know. As long as the surface level personality is a good matured one, it's fine. Ofcourse heavy exceptions on someone who turns out to be problematic. But till then, it's all about art. It's all about them being a part of your journey. Music from anyone that speaks to you serves as the partner of your journey. Sometimes for fun, sometimes for comfort and sometimes for exploring new emotions.

And that's how it is. There will be music that you still won't vibe with even if it's from your faves but you can appreciate the effort. And there will be music that will instantly reach your heart.

We definitely stay alive for art. If not for it, what's there to life you tell me?

This reminds me of when i watched Taylor Swift's documentary Miss Americana on Netflix. That was before she released Folklore and Evermore. And i couldn't stop admiring her artistry, the process, the struggles and the wisdom she was gaining and sharing through the process of both her struggles and the beautiful moments she went through.

Thoughts i had after i watched the documentary trailer for Suga's D-Day. It's all random scribbles and i can elaborate on all this. Just wanted to write this.
