Does your character have any personal enemies? Why are they enemies? Could your character and this person ever put their differences aside? Is that something your character would even want?

Why hello there, friendly fairy~!

I'm going to answer this for Bair, since I'm trying to focus on her story most:

Does your character have any personal enemies?

She does, namely the leader of the Pacific Northwest branch of the Seelie Court (that name is subject to change) who tries to make her life a living hell. They love assigning her the most dangerous tasks.

I don't have much about this person figured out yet, aside from them being Bair's superior and their hatred of one another, so I apologize for a lack of name and species~

Why are they enemies?

Their families have hated each other for centuries. No one currently alive can really remember why--Bair and her fam believe it's because of some territorial dispute while the leader and their fam think it's an ancestor-was-a-jilted-lover situation.

That may or may not come to play at some point in the story.

Could your character and this person ever put their differences aside?

Maybe. I say that because I haven't fully fleshed out the leader person yet, but they're not evil, so there might be a chance they can set aside their differences.

Is that something your character would even want?

Yes, because it means she would finally get some of the easier assignments, like doing blood bank inspections or making sure the merfolk and the selkies aren't fighting xD But it'd make for a better overall work environment and give her a much-needed break.

Oh look, a height chart for the majority of the main cast for Bair's story~ Included both of Bair's forms because, as you can see, one is taller than the other.

Hakan and Vithar are dragons and are brothers, but were separated most of their lives due to Hakan having been kidnapped by a warlock when they were really young. Hakan is a fire dragon while Vithar is a water dragon. Their horns aren't counted as part of their height.

Hakan refuses to wear pants/trousers.

Thora is half-forest troll and has shapechanged herself to be shorter than what she normally is. She's also the oldest of the group, being over 1,000 years old. And she's also Bair and Corentin's former babysitter.

Thora refuses to wear shoes.

Corentin is a witch while Bair, his twin sister, is a shapeshifter. Corentin is also Thora's occasional apprentice while Bair is (what I'm tentatively calling) a Warden.

Bair and Vithar start the story off engaged. Eventually, Bair also falls for Hakan and she gets two hunky dragon hubbies.

After 173 layers and ~75 hours of work, I have finally finished this beast of a picture~! This thing was challenging in so many ways, but making myself get it drawn and colored has been one of the few things keeping me sane over the last few weeks, oddly enough.

There are plenty of things I wish I could have done better (like making Hakan look more husky, since he is not a thin boy like Vithar), but overall, I'm very happy with how this turned out. I'm especially happy that I finished this thing before Christmas! That was my main goal.

Also, those cookies Bair's got there? They're 2 of the 5 kinds of cookies I'll be making this Thursday 🤣

Are you still taking art idea requests? If so, I think something with Bair and her funky demon husband is cool - maybe reenacting that famous painting of the lovers on a swing.

As happy as I am with this one, I'm also disappointed because I had drawn Hakan properly husky, but then his clothes went and hid his tumtum 😔 Oh well. He still came out cute, especially with Bair hanging off of him~

And the spoopy cuties are done~! Bair celebrating Halloween/her birthday with her fiance, Vithar, while handing out candy to trick-or-treaters~ She totally has king-sized candybars in that bag of hers.

She's also probably teasing Vithar because his 'costume' is just an outfit he actually wore back in the 1700s~

As of typing this, I'm about 2/3rds done with this. I did the flats about 4 days ago and managed to get the background and Bair shaded since then.

Despite the plethora of details and just how much shading there is to do, working on this has been one of the few things keeping me sane the past week or so.

Haaa...My worst enemy would be my bosses, aka the Council of Seelie, Unseelie, and Mortal relations*.

🏳️‍🌈Are you LGBTQ+?

Yep! Specifically, I'm queer and genderfluid. Literally genderfluid.

🥣what's your favorite food?

My mum's beef stew! The caramel-apple spice cake Hakan makes, though, is a very close second. A veeerrry close second....Okay, now that I think of it, it's tied.

👨‍👨‍👦‍👦do you have any family? What's your relationship with your family members?

I have plenty of family, though my closest family members are my paternal grandparents, parents, and my half-brother. For the most part, my relationship with them all is pretty good. My grandpa Storm and I sometimes butt heads, though. He's more...serious than the rest of us.

Okay, actually, he's a lot more serious than the rest of us. None of us really know how he spawned dad.

🤕do you get injured often?

Far too often. My job means lots of injuries. In fact, as I'm typing this up, I'm currently healing up from my last assignment, which involved trying to exorcise an abandoned logging camp of a bunch of ghosts.

The ghosts did not like outsiders.

The ghosts were very good at throwing axes.

Thank gods I can shapeshift.

Annnd my genderfluid gals are done as well~!

First row is my Mulan oc, Shan Zhu, in both her historical and modern fashions. She's the niece of Shan Yu and ends up with a curse that messes with her eyesight, thus the different eye colors. So you've got her in her Hunnic garb, which is stained with the blood of her enemies/victims and then there's her in her Queen/Empress garb that she gets during Daughter of Life. If you recognize the shape behind feminine Zhu, then four points for you, Glen Coco. Modern Zhu is a goth fashion model and a vampire, thus her paler, somewhat sickly skin tone. She likes her makeup and her plunging necklines (Ling and Mulan/Ping also like her plunging necklines).

Next up is Bair Storm, but not from the Potter!Verse. This one is from an urban fantasy story I want to write someday. She's half shapeshifter, half witch, and is literally genderfluid. Most of the time, she's in her feminine form, but when she's doing one of her hunting jobs, she's in her masculine form. There are times when she's not working that she bums around in her masculine form, though, because, well, sometimes she just feels like a guy. Masculine Bair might also have some heavy Aidan Turner as Mitchell vibes because...hot. In both forms, she always wears some form of gloves; being part fae, she doesn't want to burn her entire hand if she accidentally touches something iron.

Last row is Emil Drystan in both historical and modern versions. I went with her Lord Traharne (her actual last name) garb instead of Captain Drystan because...well, I draw her in her captain's garb all the time. I did lighten her face in the Lady Traharne makeup to give the effect of the white-powdered face. Dark eyebrows, strong blush, a beauty patch, and subtly tinted lips in addition to the powdered face were really the only makeup used. Lipstick was actually banned during the the early 1700s because misogyny. Modern Emil...is just comfy. She sometimes wears binders (as seen in the shirt cut meme), but for the most part, her breasts are small enough that she's not bothered by them.

And if you read all of that...congratulations! You read a text wall and proved me wrong since I'm certain no one's going to bother with it.

A WIP shot of what was supposed to be my halloween/Bair's birthday picture. It would have been finished and gone up way sooner, buuut...my brother gave us his old microsoft surface and pen, so naturally, i've hijacked it for art purposes and I've been reacquainting myself with paint tool sai 2 xD

I found its inking to be a bit clunky when you're not using a wacom tablet, so I went over and inked this in medibang paint on my ipad, but the colors are all sai so far. It's a bit of a learning curve, since it doesn't have the pinch to zoom or rotate features, and the surface pen itself isn't terribly customizable in terms of button functions.

Overall, though, I'm quite enjoying working on a bigger 'tablet'. I might have to download the pc version of medibang and see how it does on the surface.

And here are the finished character sheets~! Introducing Bair and her newly created 'twin' brother, Corentin! He's only in the canon-timeline era, though, as Sirius Black wasn't around in the 1890s.

As a bonus, I included a before and after of Bair now vs. Bair from last year. Quite the glow-up methinks.

Bair got an overhaul in terms of appearance: She no longer has neon green and orange hair and her clothing choices better fit her history nerd personality. The mismatched socks remain, though! And when she's not in uniform, she wears mismatched shoes.

Her wand also got an update, with a change in its core (originally, she had a thestral hair core) as well as a change in its length. I also changed its shape slightly, so that it more resembles a flintlock pistol (which I've always modeled her wand after. Corentin's wand is modeled after a Scottish dirk).

I like to think that their wand cores came from the same mermaid~

The only thing that really disappoints me about these is that, since Bair's wand is ebony wood, it's really hard to see the design on the handle. Maybe I'll upload a closeup of both wands later...

Just the doodle page i did over the course of the week. We’ve got Bair holding George bridal style (and just barely holding him up); Emil in an Assassin’s Creed Black Flag inspired get-up; Emil and Jack staring dreamily at Mary; and my Avengers gal, Lucifina, playing with a bottle of alcohol (she’s a flair bartender in addition to being an Avenger). 

Believe it or not, Emil, Jack, and Mary took the least amount of time--maybe three hours total. But Bair and George took about four days total :’) I’m happy with Luci from the boobs up, but i didn’t get her hips wide enough. And Assassin Emil...I’m indifferent about her lol

Hi ! 🍄 What are your OCs favourite snacks? Their favourite comfort food which always cheers them up when they’re down? Favourite meal to make? Do they enjoy baking and cooking and are they any good in the kitchen?

Hello there~! Since no oc was specified, I’ll just use my three most used ones: Baylee, Bair, and Emil~

Baylee (both hobbit and human):

Her favorite snack are lemon hand pies--bonus if they’re strawberry-lemon hand pies. The comfort food that always cheers her up is chicken stew with some nice, crusty bread and I wouldn’t say she has a favorite meal she enjoys making, but she definitely does enjoy baking and cooking. Human Baylee does the majority of the baking at her family’s inn, the Full Tankard.

Bair: 

Pepper Imps. Hands down, Bair’s favorite snack ever are Pepper Imps. She’s always got a bag of them on her person. As for comfort food, that’s a hard one, given that it changes over time. At one point, though, it was her grandfather’s ham and potato soup with some of her grandmother’s cheddar-chive bread. She does enjoy occasionally baking and cooking, with the favorite meal to make being Irish beef stew.

Emil: 

Emil’s all-time favorite snack is bananas and, after 15 years, i still can’t remember if there was a joke behind it or not xD As for her comfort food, basically anything from the sea, since she’s the daughter of an ocean deity.  She doesn’t really cook too often, but when she does, it’s usually boiled lobster and even then it’s mostly because she loves tormenting people who poopoo on lobster for it being peasant/prisoner food. It’s like, the one thing she can cook perfectly. And, as mentioned previous, she doesn’t really cook or bake. She’s a pirate captain--most of the cooking is left to the ship’s cook or to Mary~

🍁 Where does your OC go when they need to have some time to themself? Would they ever have their own “comfort corner” filled with all the things they like? Do they have a favourite spot outside that feels like its theirs and theirs alone?

Given that she's at Hogwarts most of the year, she has three places she likes to go for alone time: The shore of the Black Lake, an abandoned classroom she found in one of the towers, and the roof of one of the towers. All three of those places feels like its hers and hers alone, since two of the three are places only she knows about while the third has miles and miles of shoreline to hide along.

She doesn't really have a comfort corner while at school, unless you count closing the curtains on her bed and hiding away, but at Storm's End, her room is her comfort corner.

🍂 Does your OC enjoy hugs? What do they do as a show of affection for: their friends, their family, their significant other(s) or for strangers? Over all what are they like with recieving affection from others?

Bair is someone who gets touch-starved very easily, so she loves hugs (and any sort of physical affection, really).

Showing affection to her family mostly involves lots of hugs and playful shoves or joking thwacks upside the head (this one is pretty much only with her dad because they are dorky jocks).

As for her significant others, well...she's very affectionate if they're okay with physical affection. Snuggles, hugs, kisses, cuddles...However, if her lover isn't one for physical affection, then she dials that waaay back. An occasional peck on the cheek, a gentle shoulder squeeze, or maybe a little pinky hold tend to be the usual forms with sometimes getting a kiss on the lips.

🌿 What way does your OC show that they care without using words? What way do others show your OC that they’re cared about without using speech?

Hugs, (if they are also huggers); giving one of her friends/loved ones their favorite candy when they're feeling down; checking up on them to make sure they're doing okay; doing her best to be an optimistic and caring friend/ granddaughter...When at Storm's End, she also makes sure her dad and grandparents get enough rest; with her dad being a famous quidditch player and her grandparents working in the Department of Mysteries at the ministry...they can be quite busy.

☄️ Does this OC deserve better treatment from you? Do you make them suffer just a little bit too much? Be nice to them!

She....probably does deserve better treatment, tbh. Especially after she graduates, since she unknowingly dates Grindelwald while he was disguised as Percival Graves and he was probably the first person who actually made her feel loved and accepted her strange quirks (still debating on whether or not this was all an attempt to manipulate her, since she's fairly famous by that point and could prove useful to his cause or if he actually did fall in love with her as well). And then there's the fact that she falls for Newt while watching him fall hardcore for Tina, who's one of her friends....

....Damn. I really do need to be nicer to her...

What is your favorite headcanon about your character?

Why hello there~! Oh dear--I’ve got so many ocs and things I love about them, it’s hard to keep track! But here are just a few of my more-used ocs and the things i like about them~ Bair: How fiercely protective of her friends and loved ones she is. She got into a lot of scraps in her first few years at Hogwarts thanks to people making fun of her friends.

Baylee: Both hobbit and human Baylee love lemon flavored things and really hate carrot cake! Human!Baylee, though, has come to quite enjoy dwarven carrot cake.

Lucifina: If she really likes something she’s eating or drinking, it’s not ‘delicious’ or ‘scrumptious’, it’s always ‘yummy’. No matter if she’s speaking English, Swedish, Greek, or Arabic, she uses ‘yummy’ as her descriptor of choice.

Emil: She’s like...the most chill of all my characters. She’s got an enormously long fuse--but there are some people who manage to light the fuse just a few inches from the canon. And when that canon goes off, there are very few people who can hold her back, Jack and Mary being the main two. 

Mary: She’s just so damn sweet and kind hearted, despite being brought up in a place like Shipwreck Cove. However, as sweet and kind as she is, she Takes No Shit and if she has to threaten someone, out comes her bosom knife.
