How y’all met was wild-

Instead of the black cat and golden retriever trope you were more like a blunt angry bear and cute little golden retriever puppy trope

You met when you both were younger and became close friends

That’s when he got a crush on you but honestly it was relatively small

He would always try and be around you but eventually you started to see each other less and less

There was a particular reason for it

It just kind of happened that way

Now you two met again around season two which made Yugi ecstatic

Yami was cool with you relatively

Joey not so much-

The moment he fell in love with you though

Some random person tried to steal his deck from his belt so you chased after them and not only did you get his deck back but you beat the hell out of them and got them to apologize to Yugi

His heart bursted out of his heart after seeing how much you care about him

He was smitten

He was definitely not the one who asked you out

He got to scared every time he tried because he knew if you didn’t like him back you wouldn’t be super nice about it lmao

It was you who asked him out

But it wasn’t anything to fancy

You came up to Yugi at the end of school and offered to walk home with him

Which he said yes of course

When you finally got to his house you told asked him to go on a date with you

Bro almost bursted into tears

In a relationship he is the sweetest boy alive

He definitely has scary dog privileges

You come to every one of his duels because while you don’t play, you care about his interests

You always come with him on his little journeys with his friends

Then you were forced to play which you hated but won really easily even though you knew nothing

He likes physical touch with if you like it as well he’ll cuddle up to you at night and fall asleep

He always buys you food too

He is ok with the causal pda like holding hands but doesn’t want to attract attention so anything subtle he’s ok with

And quick pecks on the cheek

He tells you he loves you every night even if he doesn’t expect you to say it back

Bought matching necklaces for you to wear for Christmas

Expect him to make you breakfast whenever he can even though he is a terrible chef and you end up going to a cafe

He’ll stand up to anyone that’s rude to you and when they start to try and get physical you pretty much appear out of thin air and step in which he doesn’t like because he wants to stand up to your bullies

“Hey you don’t get to say anything about them!”

“Who the hell are you? Their plaything?”

“No! I’m their boyfriend! You don’t get to talk about them that way!”

“Why? You have a problem with it, punk?”

“He might not, but I do.”

“You don’t have to step in. I got this!”

“No, Yugi. I think I’m going to be dealing with them this time.”

“But I wanted to…”

“We’ll talk about this late babe.”

“Fine! Be nice! Love you!”

Yami Yugi

You two met pretty randomly

You came up to him while he was at the arcade with his friends and you kissed him

He heard a couple Oohs but he was more concerned on who you are and why you’re kissing him

Once you broke the kiss you just walked away leaving him baffled at the situation

He followed after you and demanded to know why you kissed him

He doesn’t know what he expected but the answer ‘it was a dare’ was not definitely not what he thought

It made him disappointed ngl

He let out a little oh and then let you walk away

He thought about you ever since that day

Then he met you again

He came up to you while you were sitting at a cafe reading a book and sat down right across from you

He expected you to remember him but alas you didn’t lmfao

But even though you didn’t remember him you still offered him food and didn’t insist on him leaving

Honestly it was a little concerning considering the fact you thought he was a stranger

Somehow through all of this you guys became friends

Whenever he is in Domino City and not on his little journeys he goes out to a cafe with you

He tries to do this every Saturday but it doesn’t always work out with both of your schedules

You and Yami had the slowest slow burn known to man

He didn’t realize he was in love with you for a while

Until he saw you kissing someone else

He was so confused at what he was feeling that he went back home and just sat oh his bed

He asked Yugi about it and he was the one that made Yami realize he was in love with you

He wasn’t a big fan of the feeling

He tried to avoid you as much a possible but that did last to long

You cornered him into an alleyway and made him explain his behavior

And while he tried to lie… he isn’t a good liar‏

When he was trying to play cool you kissed him and he quickly forgot about everything and kissed back

During the little make out session you asked him to date you causing him to stop

He told you about seeing you kiss someone else and didn’t want to be in a relationship with someone who likes someone else

Then you had to explain how the guy kissed you and it would never happen again because you had your eyes set on Yami since the first day you met him

He believed you and became your boyfriend

He is much more closed off and private about pretty much everything to do with you

His friends didn’t even know about you until Yugi told them how Yami is dating someone

He doesn’t say it out loud that he loves you or engage in to much physical affection but he does always bring and buy you stuff

Anything he sees that he think you’ll like he’ll buy

Unlike Yugi, when he makes you food he doesn’t mess it up

Honestly probably the best food you’ll ever have in your life

It’s usually for special occasions only

When you two do cuddle it’s mostly in bed with you both about to go to sleep and spooning each other with you as the big spoon and him as the little one

Every new place he goes to he brings something back for you if you don’t want to go along

He invites you to every one of his matches

He is very quiet and reserved speaking wise but you can usually tell what he’s thinking based off his body language

Will watch anything you want with you while eating popcorn and other unhealthy food

He also got you this really expensive ring for Christmas

“Yami… you shouldn’t have.”

“I wanted you to know how much you mean to me.”

“I know but this! This is so…”

“Lovely? I don’t understand do you not want it? I can get you another if you would like.”

“No Yami. It’s just so expensive looking I mean have you looked at me? It’ll be like a shining red ferrari in a haystack.”

“Do you not like it?”

“No. It’s gorgeous, but you’re going to be really disappointed with what I got you.”

“Anything you get me I will treasure with my life.”

“Thanks Yami, but just know it’s not a expensive ass ring.”

“I kind of already figured.”

Joey Wheeler

This man fell for you the moment he met you… literally.

It what gots your attention so he’s not really complaining

He honestly thought whenever you two would meet you were flirting with him but in reality you were being normal

He would always flirt back which you noticed but decided on not saying anything

While he had a ‘flirty’ relationship with you and like you he didn’t love you

Until you and him went to the arcade-

You were competing against him in one of the games and when you won you let out a deep laugh making him start to laugh as well

It made him realize how much he enjoys you and he wants to be with you forever

You’re the person that makes him happy after all

As soon as he realized that he asked you out which you replied with a short yes and told him you’re going to be at one of the shooting games

He honestly didn’t know if he should be happy or sad

I mean you said yes but then you acted like him asking you out wasn’t a big deal

When he confronted you on it probably more angry than he needed you just told him you knew he liked you and expected it

He got a little bit embarrassed over that

When you two start dating he’s really sweet and dresses to impress but as time goes on he becomes the type of boyfriend that will come into your home grab your chips and watch tv with you with his stained shirt and sweatpants

Not that your complaining

He always buys you gifts when he can but he’s kind of broke so there definitely a little bit trashy

He’s usually staying at your house at night and will sleep in holding onto you tight so when you wake up you can’t go anywhere

He’s a very cuddly person and always wants your arm wrapped around him whenever and wherever

He introduced you to his sister a moth or so after you two started dating and it was safe to say she loved you

Even if she didn’t understand you

He’s also nervous that you’ll leave him for someone else so he gets jealous really quickly

If you are involved in sports like football or soccer or wrestling he’ll be cheering you on from the sides yelling something like ‘WOOOOO IM DATING THE ONE IN WHITE YEAH BABE YOU GO’ ‘Joey they’re all in white…’ ‘YUGI SHUSH’

Whenever he’s dueling the thing that keeps him going is you

You and him go out to dinner whenever you guys can

You’re the one that pays for it though

He will honestly cheer you on if you decided to beat someone up

As long as you had a good reason

“Yeah Baby you got this!”

“Didn’t you say you were heading home Joey?”

“Don’t focus on that focus on those pedos!”

“Will do hun. Do you want to join me? Your getting very close.”

Seto Kaiba

He hated you when he first met you

You two got off to a bad start

He was working at a cafe when you came close and tripped spilling your coffee over him and his computer

You were dared by Mokuba even though you had no idea who either of them were

Since you were pretty much broke and couldn’t afford to pay for the stuff (which was over $7000) he just hired you instead

That honestly did not help

You just kept bugging him and asking him questions about the job

The only reason he didn’t fire you immediately is because he thought you were suffering while working for him (even though you were having a great time and he was the one suffering)

It was unexpected to fall in love with you

You were walking home when you saw a couple boys surrounding Mokuba

When you saw one of the boys hit him you stepped in scaring the kids off

You saw that Mokuba had a bruise forming on his check and his clothes were ripped

Since your house was so close you just took him home to get him fixed up and gave him some clothes that were to big for him so he ended up looking like Jesse Pinkman

You called Seto and when he answered he was a little agitated because Mokuba was no where to be found and he thought you would be asking about how to work the printer again

But when you told him how you had Mokuba all the agitation in his voice decimated

He let a soft that I you a hanged up only 5 minutes later he showed up at your door even though you never told him your address

When he saw you he just got this feeling that he couldn’t explain

It wasn’t until you asked him if he wanted to get coffee did he realize what he was feeling

He wouldn’t be surprised if he had hearts in his eyes for you

He told you he liked you a day later and you two started dating

The beginning of the relationship was a little awkward because of how little both of talk

It helped that you understood Seto’s schedule so you ok with him coming home really late in the night

He buys you a lot of things that you probably don’t need

You always watch over Mokuba instead of the guards when he can’t

When he does come home on time he always leaves super early in the morning

Whenever he comes home late he always climbs into bed with you

“Seto?”

“Did I wake you? I’m sorry go back to bed.”

“It’s fine. I was waiting for you but I got tired.”

“I can see that.”

“Mokuba is asleep in the other room.”

“I’ll bring him home in the morning.”

“He can stay I don’t mind.”

“We’ll talk more about this in the morning.”

“Ok.”

So, which parts of the class A fight did you find cringy? ngl the ending scene of op 11 where class A follows deku did remind me of your meta about class A being turned into a deku cult.

I will give you instead the list of stuff I liked:

This is perfect. I love Bakugou going straight for the jugular - tough love at its best and brightest, only with the precision someone “closest” to you can ever do.

Shoji - yes. Thank you for voicing something really important and reminding Deku when he used to think highly of his classmates. Tokoyami / Dark Shadow parts are also great - especially where DS is crying.

Shouto is Tough Love - Part 2. I love that he goes ruthlessly after how Deku tries to hide his pain and then basically calls him a dumbass for playing AFO’s game. No words minced. Perfect. In character. True to their friendship.

Iida - yes class prez, please do throw All Might’s words to Deku - Deku’s words to Iida back in Deku’s face to remind him in case he’s forgotten what is the true essence of a hero. I love how gentle he is while at the same time calling Deku a lost child.

And yes, Kirishima explaining again, once more slower for the people in the back that what class a is doing here is what Deku was doing at the start of the story. And it makes those Deku-stans who think Class A should have stayed out of this because of not having OFA-level powers big hypocrites.

The rest of the interactions range between lame - cringe .

You can also see that these are the people who had good, substantive interactions with Deku from the class.

The essence of Mineta’s line was ok, but the packaging was too cringe for me personally. I would have expected more for Tsu, but yeah, that was very forgettable. Kaminari’s speech was kind of meh, but it gets a bonus point for being at least funny.

Other than this the apology of course was great. I don’t particularly care for Ochako’s speech though.

Watched the movie and honestly it was fine. No groundbreaking cinematic masterpiece. No disasturous dumpster fire. Just an ok movie that felt like a fanfiction from s1

Here's some more thoughts I have. There's no structure it's a little chaotic. Also spoilers (duh)

The stuff I liked:

The music was good

THE ANIMATION IS GORGEOUS. The lighting in every scene is perfect, the city actually feels populated and the colors overall are so much prettier than in the show

I loved the akuma designs

They do a good job of establishing how Marinette, in the beginning, is very anxious, affected by Chloe's bullying and how she doesn't have friends. That works better than what the show tried to establish, about how Marinette had no friends but still being popular for some reason

Alya being a good friend

The way Adrien deals with the loss of his mother and how playing the piano brings him comfort and makes him feel close to her. Imo the show went overboard with how literally everything Adrien does is dictated by his dad and never something he might genuinely enjoy doing. The fact that he had this hobby made him feel like he was more than just a sad boi

Adrien also seems to struggle with not having many friends outside Nino. Works pretty well with the characterization that he's socially awkward after being homeschooled for most of his life

Generally this Adrien has more PV vibes? I‘m digging it ngl

Marinette's dad is the best

Fu's introduction to Marinette sure was something xD

Gabriel was a good villain character. The show version is just some weird ass goof who is a huge ass to his son and everyone, yet the show wants you to feel for him without giving us a reason to care. This version actually has complexity. He’s still an ass, but now the pain over loosing Emilie feels real. You also have him hesitating to use the butterfly but ultimately spiraling completely into an actually threatening villain.

the fight scenes looked great

Marinette is still clumsy and awkward towards Adrien but without being too cringe about it and doing stupid shit. It‘s just heart eyes and day dreams and some stuttering. She‘s still nervous but I never felt like Adrien brought oit her worst side like in the show. She was simply a girl in love. This was wholesome to watch and so much better than... whatever the fuck the show did with the fucking dating trauma to use for """comedy""" bc the show runners have zero respect for her seriously I'll never get over how fucking stupid that was Marinette honey you deserve so much better

I honestly think this is a better version of the square. Still heavily flawed, but their dynamic feels so much more natural. Ladynoir stuff was sweet

The end where Marinette looses the earrings and then saves Chat without the costume was a good scene

Most of their moments were just quiet moments between just the two without any outside forces and characters constantly pushing them together. This bothers me in the show so much and is another major reason I cant get behind the ship, but for the most part the movie has some gentle pushing here and there but no convoluted and stupid cringy plans. In that regard movie love square is superior

Nino had a thing for Alya from the start pretty much, unlike in the show where he was crushing on Mari five minutes before getting with Alya. I like them in both the show and the movie, but the way they got together in the show was a little meh

Nino getting screentime in general

The stuff I don't know how to feel about:

Careless whisper. It was silly goofy but especially the second time when Paris is on fire and we skip to Adrien's room where he sulks... yeah that tome switch really threw me off

Two different voice actors for singing an talking. The difference was very jarring and while good for Bryce, Cristina has the voice of an angel like cmon I need her to do at least a cover from one song

Gabriel's redemption. Ok so I'm a little torn because the way they did it ties in very well with the the "power of love" theme that his love for Adrien makes him realize his mistakes bla bla, but he still terrorized a city and yet faces zero consequences, and Adrien forgives him, which are all thing that really rub me the wrong way. Idk the franchise is so obsessed with painting this man in a sympathetic light and in order for this to feel truly satisfying Gabriel shouldn't have tried to destroy Paris like 5 minutes earlier. I see what they went for and thematically it worked but I just need Gabriel to be put in prison

Speaking of Gabriel, the Adrien Gabe relationship isn't as abusive as in the show. This isn't good or bad, but I still think (very unpopular opinion) the show doesn't handle abuse well at all bc the only point of the abuse is pity points in oder to get the fans to care about the characters. So taking that out of the movie where you have limited time to wrap this whole thing up might've been a smart decision

With the ending they sort of hinted at a sequel

The cut off kiss at the end. They still act like a love square kiss is something sacred that they can‘t just give their fans. Commit to it already

The stuff I didn't like:

The dialogue was… something. Marinette just asking her mom over breakfast how to make her dreams come true. Babe just just woke up, that deep convos are for late nights

Generally the dialogue in both the movie and the show is a little weird

Lika Alya‘s „people try really hard to fail as hard as you“ Marinette spilled some coffee it‘s not that hard

Even though I liked the portrayel of Marinette‘s anxiety, at times the went overboard with it

Going back to the Gabriel redemption, just let Adrien have negative feeling about Gabriel already. The s5 finale have him idolize him and here he just instantly forgives and forget

So the butterfly is a villainous tool by default? They could've fixed their messy lore but noooo

The scene where Marinette gets her miraculous feels rushed.

The way Adrien receives his miraculous. He was chilling in his room and suddenly a black cat shows up. He doesn't even have to proove himself like Mari when she almost got hit by a truck. The moment in the show was already weak but this is just fucking stupid

the first akuma was just some random dude. They should've used someone the main duo has a connection to

Chat being a lil bitch about Ladybug rejecting him. Hated it in the show, hate it here. They could've used the movie to fix Adrien and they didn't. Other than that being a dick move as so many people have explained millions of times now, I find this such a boring source of conflict for the climax of the movie? They worked well before and they both know they care for each other as partners and even if being rejected hurts, Chat acts like LB just threw their friendship away or something with how strongly he reacts to it. In the show it felt blown out of proportion and it does here as well. I think they should've had a different kind of conflict which actively hurt their partnership or Chat stops treating LB unfairly just because to her he‘s not a romantic partner.

The fart jokes. Though tbf this is a kids movie

The way Marinette falls for Adrien was extremely underwhelming. Adrien smiles at her and helps her get up and then just walks out of the library all like „she‘s so weird“. Could‘ve been fixed if he and Mari stayed in the library and had a little conversation

Also Adrien‘s introduction in general? He just chills in the library and… yeah that‘s it. I blame this on the writers of the movie cutting character introductions short because they assume the audience already knows the characters and therefore doesn‘t have to introduce them. I don‘t think that was a good choice

The Adrienette stuff was just a montage. Would've been nice to actually see them connect (though that was probably a time issue)

Also they didn't give any spotlight to Marinette's good qualities like selflessness and intelligence. Would've been nice to see her be more willing to be there for people and help them out with things as a result of her gaining more confidence

Seriously the montage was a big mistake and takes away a lot from what could've made the movie stand out

The reveal felt a lot like Adrien only loving Marinette because she's LB, which was a big reason for me to not ship Adrienette prior to the flip (not that I did after). Something like this would‘ve been believable in a setting where they didn‘t know each other as civilians I guess, but that doesn‘t work for the square. Had they actually shown Adrienette develop outside of a montage this would'be been way more believable and touching.

I think a reverse love square from the beginning would've worked better here, or they should've made the Ladynoir side canon

Adrien tells Marinette about his dead mom. Chat noir tells Ladybug about his dead mom. How does she not make the connection?

The "power of love" theme fell flat with Marinette. she doesn't have her moment of "oh I have to protect the people I love" like Tikki's dialogue suggests. There were multiple people at the theme park she could've spotted being in danger and that should've made her want to save them. Tom being there was literally the perfect set-up. The show does this with Alya being trapped under a car or something and Marinette seeing her

I also think the jump from anxious Mari to brave Mari didn't work. In both the show and the movie it just feels like she just decides to be confident now without really getting there through hard work. The motivation was there in the show (see previous point) but in both instances it just happened too fast. Let Marinette have time to really adjust to her new role

This would've worked if the movie didn't try to keep the show's formula of "villain of the week". Why are we getting a montage about that when there's already a whole ass show with five seasons where we already see that? This montage took up time that could've been used more effectively. The movie should've tried to be more of it's own thing, really shoud've tried to flesh out the characters more in a way the show doesn't. They didn't need LB and CN immediately competent and loved by the public after the theme park fiasco. Just use the run time of the movie to get adjusted to fighting crime on a weekly basis, have them fail to then fix their mistakes and learn from them. Why not do a training montage with the point of becoming better instead of flirting? The movie tries too hard to keep up the show formula and it takes away the quality the story could've had

Also in Marinette's case it felt like the only "power of love" that mattered was her partnership with Chat. Her family and friends weren't completely unimportant but definetely underutilized in that regard. Romantic love is not the only important love you know

Their powers of cataclysm and miraculous ladybug only came in at the very end. The built up could've worked if they spent more time showing how they become good and experienced heroes over time

Generally the climax was underwhelming. Gabriel learns Chat‘s identity and the damage is made undone like 10 seconds later

Adrien being like "yeah I didn't really get close to people after my mom died" what's with the Nino erasure smh

Luka wasn't important

Kagami wasn't even there

I think the end scene hinted at the sentimonster stuff and I wished they would've just not include that

Final thoughts

There are things the movie did better than the show and some things it didn't. They don't waste much time on establishing who the characters are because they expect viewers to already know that from watching the show. But like the show, they fail to use the concepts they've set up in an effective way. The movie not only tries to stay true to the show but is almost dependent on the audience knowing the series.

But yeah, the movie atmosphere was nice. Nothing extraordinary but also not super bad. It had s1 vibes and despite the problems I listed, I had a good time for the most part. Not a must watch but still fine

Emika and kaspar are giving special victims unit cause this would be some sick nasty shit someone would do

Their behavior today absolutely made me wanna smack some hoes, but ngl Kaspar’s creepy-as-shit fascination with the murder scene did make me think that at least someone’s living up to the reputation we’re supposed to understand that the Thornes have. Other siblings like Patryk, Astrid, and Emika just act in a way that makes them come off as cringy try-hards and wannabe edgelords, yet Kaspar’s behavior, aside from the screw-ups that get him caught, seems to me to be more on-brand for a family and nation that we’re repeatedly told is so cunning and brutal.

Really, I feel like so far, this series (book 2 in particular), has heavily portrayed that Thorne ruthlessness in a very telling-over-showing way, and I feel like Kaspar’s actions might be the first major moment in this book (that we can attribute to somebody specific so far, so discounting the murders) where this is shown to us—because even Patryk poisoning MC was done as a clout-seeking performance for an audience. So while for some other members of the family this way of acting feels more like a gimmick, front, or just a means to an end, Kaspar just straight-up stole a murder weapon out of a corpse—not to boast or even tell anyone, just to have it—so he’s actually, genuinely deranged, which is more interesting to me. Anyway, I digress, but let the record show that I still find him and Emika obnoxious as hell, though, and I very much want to take them down for their meddling.

Hi, Mona. Thrilled to know that you are working on another Lestappen masterpiece *literally sob* I'm team Top!Max ngl but I'm not against Top! Charles at all! I think Charles can make a gentle yet still somewhat dominant top in another way bc despite how much Max and Charles are alike in terms of racing and competition, they are soooo different in dealing with their feelings. Max can be blunt, honest, straightforward, serving cut-the-crap vibe, the kind of partner who leaves little space for inhibition, while Charles can be as much honest and genuine but takes a more subtle approach? Like constantly checking everything is ok to an extend things get a little bit cringy (with endearing affection). I think it's cute when idiots in love act clumsy😳 I know I'm being a bit off topic. All I'm trying to say is that their different love-making preferences (*wink*) may result in a relatively constant Top!Max & Bottom! Charles dynamic bc prolly they feel more comfortable this way? Like Charles will be less nervous more reckless and Max always out performe when he knows what to expect. Together they create a safe space for each to do what they feel most natural to do. Not saying that trying New things is intimidating, just consider their tight schedules (I know it's crazy to talk about these things in fanfic) It's great they can enjoy every second while they have a chance. So, my vote goes to Top! Max this time but please please feel free to write whatever you have in mind and I'm sure it will be perfect just they way it is.

They might be very similar in a lot of ways, but I'm 100% onboard with the idea that they deal with their emotions in very different ways. Max is straightforward, making sure there is never any need to read between the lines when it comes to him. Charles, though? Charles definitely strikes me as more subtle, less blatant, less obvious. (Could this be tied to his seemingly neverending cycle of self-doubt, as well as his constant need to please as many people as possible? Maybe.)

I mean, I've written top!Max in all my Lestappen fics so far, so I obviously agree with you that top!Max bottom!Charles would be the most common and comfortable arrangement for them. But I'm also loving the idea that occasionally, they switch it up, which always ends up being a truly mindblowing experience for them both, despite their very different approaches to topping.

I really appreciate and love your thoughts on this, anon, and I wholeheartedly agree with you. You've articulated your thoughts wonderfully, and I would absolutely love it if you came to talk to me about this some more, either in my ask box or in a DM.

The fanfiction that holds a special place in your heart

Definitely the fics that were at the beginning of now "big" ships - I was the second person to post a Rakidrić fic on AO3, and the first person to post a Gavi/Pedri fic in there. I like being ahead of the curve, to be kind of "proven right" about certain chemistries being interesting and appealing. And I like the idea that someone thought of Gavi/Pedri fic, searched AO3, and mine was The One fic that was there in their time of need - before others eventually got the balls to write one as well (and now there's almost 350 fics with Gavi/Pedri, which is amazing, since it's a lovely ship). So these two will always be kind of special in this sense. I wrote a bunch of unpopular/rare ships, and I don't strive to write what's popular or what most people would read - I hope that someone might read my fic and think - this makes sense, why didn't I know/think about this pairing; rather than being one of the billions who write about Messi/Ron or Messi/Neymar etc.

I also wrote the first Harry Kane/Pochettino fic, and I'm sad and disappointed there's not more about them! (they deserved it)

Your weirdest fanfiction

In terms of pairing, definitely the Unai/Football one, but I am proud of it and once again - I think it is subtle and it makes sense. Like, it's written in a way that could convince someone to ship them, haha (I hope). I think the weirdest in the sense of story itself it's probably Italian Cuisine. I cringe at the stuff I wrote about Ronaldo/Dybala, because a lot of it was pure PWP with a bit of angst. It was really explicit compared with what I've been writing lately; and it's basically meaningless porn that's not really my style anymore. It feels weird to me now that I was like - oh sure, lets write about Ron fucking Dybala with a cucumber. There's no other meaning, or reason, or any sort of explanation.... It's literally just that. And I think I don't like writing stuff like that anymore.

I wrote a lot of "weird" things in terms of incest, omorashi, piss kink, priest!AU, priest kink, Basque separatism!AU, or even more in the past - Trudeau/Macron PWP lol ... But I think all of these were justified/served the story/served the exploration of the dynamic - but there is just no excuse for the cucumber story, period.

Your spiciest fanfiction

Uuufff, that's difficult to say since I find most of my PWPs from 2018-2019 cringy (and that's when I wrote most of the spicy stuff). Probably Rakidrić's Never knew anyone in love or Three is a charm (Two is not the same) about Kane/Poch/Southgate threesome. And of course, the priest kink with Dalić/Modrić (and it was my first risqué fic, or a fic that I felt like some people might have a problem with), I do like a priest kink hehehehe. Once again I would write it a bit differently and probably more...subtly today? I think I wrote a couple of nice spicy PWP things back in the day, but now I feel like I use smut scarcely, non-explicitly, or as a tool to depict someone's deep desperation and inability to connect/communicate in other way (Lampardverse, Frank/Mason, Scamacca/Paquetá...)

The fanfiction you are the most proud of

Right now, probably The Stands of Villa Park. Ngl, some parts made me emotional, because it made me think of the reasons why ppl love football so much, and how important it is, how it is part of life (I wrote my Master's thesis about something slightly covering this subject, so naturally I am passionate about it) - and it gave me an opportunity to explore all of this in a deeper, visceral manner of someone who would not survive without football, who needs it more than food and drink, and who needs all his senses filled with football, football, and only football.

I'm proud of the whole Lampardverse experience (but it's not my verse wink wink) and its stories because it just makes sense and explains a lot.

I think atmosphere wise, I really like Briefly and We'll Always Have London because of the heavy implications and what is left unsaid - the unrequited feeling in the former, and the relationship breaking up in the latter. I like having that in fics.

The fanfiction you were most hesitant to post

The Grizicest saga. I feel like it was sort of an appetizer before Lampardverse, and a lot of the themes first explored in Grizicest are now being rediscovered in Lampardverse. I actually got one anon hate for the Grizou, Grizou story on my previous blog loooool. Today, I would write it differently, definitely. But the main plot would probably stay mostly the same.

Also, today I wouldn't care at all about someone hating on that story. Look, (wo)man, I feel like writing a story about Unai fucking a football pitch. Or a trophy. Or Scamacca pissing on Paquetá, or Cousin Jamie breeding Franko. What are you going to do about it? As I said in the notes for my last fic, patrolling days are over.

Other than Absolution, the only thing I have ongoing atm is ‘The Darkest Heart’, a tragic vampire/hunter enemies-to-lovers story set in the Legacy of Kain universe; that might be just what I need right now. I will cry buckets, but it might be cathartic in a way.

I’m being gentle with myself and have shelved my Starfield fic for now.

All of my alien/robot smut fics. Two are reader inserts, so extra cringy! Although, I did have a lot of fun writing all of them, ngl. 😏

I would be deeply honoured if anyone wanted to draw any of my characters. 🙏🏼

To write something that inspires an artist is the ultimate dream of probably any fic writer—especially OCs since they currently only live in my head. I would love to see my characters in an artist’s signature style. I already have ideas of how these characters appear. I’d be over the moon to see someone else’s interpretation of my characters.

the increase of taylor hate is not good for my hyperfixating brain because while I personally am all for recognising where she does things wrong the hate over the celine thing is just people looking for something.

and another thing.

I saw people talk about Taylor's PR mishaps, specifically at the Grammys (announcing a new album - not unheard of tbh, "dragging" Lana up on the stage - probably in good faith, not appropriately addressing Celine - whatever). I think that it is very odd that very normal things and situations are being called PR mishaps. The fact that the way she may have looked or not looked long enough at another person is a PR mishap is somewhat insane to me.

I'm sorry but how is human behaviour a PR mishap. Essentially what I am hearing is "she did not behave in a way thar I would have, so she must be bad/whatever", but lbr no matter how many bytes and pixels Taylor Swift occupies in your little phone she is still not a robot. Meaning that surely she is bound to "misbehave" if the standards for good behaviour are pseudocode of accepted steps.

I personally don't think we should be talking about half these things. The Celine D thing is easily attributed to excitement and not thinking right - whatever, happens. Especially when you receive a record breaking award. The accusations that she dragged Lana up on that stage, I mean she did. But not with any ill will, and as a person who has friends this is likely what I would do if I were pitted against my friend and won. I would drag her up and be like - she worked on this too, she is amazing, she deserves all the recognition. Which brings us back to "ignoring Celine" (I swear poor woman has been on everyone's lips since Sunday)... in her acceptance speech, I presume. People seemed to take offence with Taylor praising Lana, whilst Celine Dion stood ignored to the side but, I mean - yeah. Lana was nominated in that very same category. Lana is who she collabed with. Lana is her good friend. That is why she mentioned her. Not as a fuck you to Celine Dion.

The album announcement is just people clinging onto anything to justify disliking her without having the balls to actually say - she annoys me, I think she's cringy and lame, and I do not like her. I think it is perfectly fine to not like Taylor Swift, you don't even need a reason. Dislike her bcs of vibes, bcs she has a private jet, because she does this and that and whatever... but ffs be consistent in your arguments. Taylor is hardly the first and likely not the last artist to announce a new album after winning an award (at Grammys), she is not the only celebrity who owns or used a private jet, she is not the only celebrity who has stayed painfully silent in the past when we needed her to speak up, so if you are going to point that out you best believe I hope you are pointing your finger at eveeeeryone else.

Eeeeeveryone.

Because truth be told, it makes sense that I as a fan of her and her music say "thats fucked, she should do better" but it is much much much weirder that a person who claims to dislike her takes so much time out of their day to point out every single "bad" (qm bcs not all of them are even sane complaints ngl) thing she has done while also not giving a flying fuck that other celebrities do some of these things better (worse?). This is what people mean when they say fan behaviour.

Also a super weird note but the fact that she does get this weird vitriol over unnecessary things is diminishing the actual criticism that she might get, and it also motivates me as a fan to actually not be as loud about some things because I'm like: "man she gets so much shit anyway, why should I even care"

For people on this website who have shifted, I would love to hear your stories and experiences. I haven't shifted myself, at lwast on purpose.

It's a cringy story ngl but it happened way before I even knew what shifting was, but I was super into lucid dreaming. So if anyone knows who markiplier is, you might have heard of darkiplier. I was shamlessly obsessed with him back then 😭. Like it was the kind of obsessed I wanted to get kidnapped by him so I could live my dream life. This was 7th grade maybe? Thank God that was close to six years ago now.

So one night I was sleeping in my floor because I was a maniac and thought the concrete floor in my bedroom was comfortable. In the morning u was woken up by someone picking my head up off of my pillow by my hair! It didn't hurt though. They just pulled my head up and I heard what I belive was supposed to be darkiplier say "it's time to wake up" 😭 of course I didn't listen. I looked, expecting to see someone's feet above my head and there was nothing, so I just went back go sleep.

It was hard to wrap my head around when I woke up. I literally thought it was a dream. I'm pretty sure I was awake, though.

I hate thinking back on my 7th and 8th grade years like, what was wrong with me? But this is when I think I shifted?

What was your first fandom (reading and/or writing)?

Writing is pretty embarrassing ngl, I was like 11/12 and I wrote a self insert Jonas Brother's fanfic. As for reading, I think it's probably a tie between Stucky and Sterek.

What was the first story you ever wrote (even if it was never posted) and what made you decide to write it?

I did posted my cringy jonas brothers fic when i was 12, and to be honest, I just wanted to write, I kept day dreaming all these scenarios and then I started to put it on paper, and when i found out a friend did that too and she posted them online, i started wanting to share it. I always loved storytelling, and fanfic just seemed like it came hand and hand with a comminuty so that helped too.

What piece of advice would you give your younger fic-writing self?

To stop overthinking what others might think of my stories.

I never stopped writing, but i did stop posting for many many years because i was afraid that people just wouldn't care about stories that i loved, and it wasn't until Buddie that i decided to say fuck it, and post and to be honest, it has been great fun.

What's an early fandom interaction that stuck with you (be it a nice comment, a friend you made, a fic that got a lot of feedback etc.)?

So many comments live in my mind rent free, users who read all my fics and always leave love and in my head we're friends, and of course the actual community of friends i've made, and continue to make, over this past two years that i started being active in the fandom, I love having people to be unhinged about headcanons or stories we wanna write, and trade stories to get them done, its just been a lot of fun (most of the time) being in this fandom.

Post a sentence or two from an older fic and a sentence or two from a newer one (if you want).

I don't have my computer close rn, but I do have an old notebook where i used to brainstorm ideas for my first Buddie Fic that has never (and probably never will) see the light of day, so heres that:

Buck came to himself slowly, a hand strocking his hair lovingly and a heavy weight on his chest.

"Hey" His voice was still heavy and groggy "Did i fall asleep?" Eddie chuckled next to the couch where Buck had taken his afternoon nap.

"It's alright you been in overdrive all week, you needed the sleep" Buck hummed, he did felt tired from all the looking over his shoulder all week. Making sure he had a hand on Evie, he put the other on Eddie's chin, tilting his head forward to place a kiss to his lips.

"I'm sorry about that, how long were we out?"

"You, about three hours, thie one in your chest has been awake and watching you sleep for about 10 minutes, Chris is still out"

Buck kissed Eddie again, before turning back to Evie.

"Good to know you're as creepy as your dad"

I’ve been having back and forth thoughts on if I’ll ever continue Psyche and Bewitched. Ngl, I’m a bit burnt out from working on TOtMiS for three years+, and would prefer to stick to shorter stuff going onward (not to mention, I’m close to fully dipping out of ML, I stopped fully watching by season 4, and even find the summaries and recaps of the plots to be cringy).

So if I never get around to PaB pt. 2, here’s the outline that I planned and some plot points O would have hit:

—> Horrificator: Alya recruits Marinette and the class for Nino’s film. Luka is also recruited for the soundtrack. Mari only goes because Luka will be there and he will have her back. When Chloe bullies Mylene out of the lead role, Mari and Luka team up to sabotage Chloe. In the end, Mari gets the role and the kiss with Adrien, but it’s awkward because everyone is watching. Adrien offers another kiss in private, but Mari still finds it lacking.

—> The Bubbler/Despair Bear: Break is over, and there is immediate talk of throwing a late birthday party for Adrien. For once, Nino and Chloe are working together to make it a major success. This is because Gabriel is refusing to throw a party at the mansion for Adrien, and Chloe alone can’t convince anyone to come and show up. However, they clash over who should get to pick the music at the party. Chloe is able to book XY and Vivica for the party via her father’s connections with Bob Roth. Nino wants to DJ for the party at some point. Meanwhile, Marinette is hesitant about going because of Chloe, and Luka doesn’t want to run in To XY. However, Marinette argues that they might be able to get some dirt on him, and Luka argues that Marinette can get closer to Adrien. The two share a dance together, before Adrien interrupts. During this, XY confronts Luka again. Chloe/Lila storms over to embarrass Marinette again. Angry, the two decide to sabotage the party, just a bit. However, the incident ends up catching the attention of Bob Roth, who gives his son and Vivica miraculouses.

—> Lady Wifi: Chloe doesn’t like the fact that Marinette has managed to get Adrien’s attention (and a kiss!) and has been waiting for the perfect opportunity to get back at her. However, Alya interferes, and Chloe ends up getting her expelled instead. Either A. Marinette becomes Bewitched to get back at Chloe or B. Marinette convinces Luka to empower Alya instead. Either way, Alya stumbles upon the existence of Psyche and Bewitched and starts the Psychecast.

—>Reflekta/Reflekdoll/Mr. Pigeon: Marinette, Juleka and Rose are all partnered up for the design contest. Rose decides to use this time to help Juleka break her “curse” by having Marinette design something for her to wear, and Rose working as the photographer. When trying to have their shoot in the park, XY comes by and sabotages the whole thing, making Juleka entirely upset. After giving Luka a heads up, Bewitched gets some revenge but ends up being caught by Juleka and Rose. They are forced to sit down and talk it out. Rose has concerns but Juleka wants revenge because of what the entire situation has done to their mother and grandmother, both of whom Juleka is close to. Rose agrees to keep quiet because anyone knowing about the miraculous could hurt them. In the end, Marinette catches the attention of Gabriel Agreste and wins the contest.

—> Stoneheart 1: While Kim has always “teased” Ivan, he’s been worse lately, after hanging out with Chloe. He goes too far this time, and Marinette and Luka decide to help him get back at Kim. However, upon helping Ivan, it leads to him discovering their secret as well. Ivan agrees to secrecy, though feels they should only use their powers as a last resort. Luka and Juleka explain their history with Bob Roth, to which Ivan takes an interest in their passion for music. Rose then suggests they form a band, and Marinette offers to help with promo and artwork. Their goal is to perform for the Music Fest on the Couffaine Houseboat.

—> Stoneheart 2: While Kim has ceased his bullying, Chloe continues to go after Ivan. Marinette makes a stand against Chloe, much to the amazement of literally everyone outside of Kitty Section. She starts getting a bit more attention, much to the dismay of Lila. She then decides to brag about a family heirloom she was reunited with, after saving an old man on the street. Both Luka and Marinette note how familiar looking it is, having seen it in the codex. Naturally, they come to the conclusion that Lila has the bee miraculous. Marinette doesn’t like the idea of Lila having the miraculous because of her ego, and Luka agrees, but they agree to wait before striking. A sentimonster is released into the city, and for the first time, Bewitched will see action. Lila, transforming into Vespa Veloce, declares that she will protect the city of Paris from such attacks. Since she is inexperienced with her powers, Bewitched has to resort to using her ally power to tell Vespa Veloce what to do. Intrigued by the attacks and the appearance of Vespa Veloce, Alya makes a video with footage of the event, and drags Nino and Adrien into helping her. Marinette and Luka bring up the matter of Lila being Vespa Veloce to the rest of Kitty Section, and they all agree to come to a group decision about whether or not Lila needs to have the miraculous taken away from her.

—> Princess Fragrance: Rose is excited about the arrival of Prince Ali, and hopes to impress him with a perfume that she developed meant for children with sensitivity to certain smells. Chloe brags about getting to be the one to meet him, and certainly, the one that he will eventually end up falling in love with. Rose asks Chloe if she will deliver her perfume to Ali, only to have Chloe laugh in her face. Once again, it’s time for some revenge. But in the middle of Bewitched pulling off a prank against Chloe, another sentimonster attacks the city, and forces her to pull her attention toward Vespa Veloce. VV is doing slightly better than last time, but Bewitched is still forced to help her defeat the sentimonster. Alya, who is again filming for a video, asks VV all sorts of questions, to which she happily obliges. Bewitched returns to her prank against Chloe, slightly adjusting it, and distracting her long enough for Ali to meet Rose. He is impressed by her formula, and agrees to chat with her more about it after she sends him a sample.

—> Luka: Marinette gets asked by Rose and Juleka about how things are going along with Adrien. Marinette admits that she’s mostly over him now, and that she hasn’t thought of him as much. Plus, the kiss they shared was… not really that great. This surprises the two of them, but they ultimately agree to stop pushing the matter. Luka asks Marinette out for a bike ride, to which she agrees, taking in the wonderful sights of Paris. Overall, just good vibes for the two, and Marinette thinks to herself, “Gee, am I only now noticing how cute Luka is?”

—> Vespa Veloce: Bewitched and Psyche finally confront Vespa Veloce face to face. They reveal that they have been the ones helping VV deal with the sentimonsters. They also reveal that they know her civilian identity, and because of that, they are reluctant to work with her. However, they agree on the fact that the sentimonsters cannot be allowed to take over the city, and so VV agrees to play nice. Fu witnesses this interaction, and decides to enlist their help in finding the missing miraculouses. Meanwhile, in their civilian lives, Lila seems to have her attitude tempered a bit, and doesn’t seem to be trying to manipulate the class with big lies.

As for part 3, that would have involved Marinette and Luka finally getting together, and Lila earning the trust of Kitty Section. She would have infiltrated Bob Roth’s show as a contestant, and use that as leverage to get her new friends some dirt. Other ideas included more involvement from Jagged, the introduction of Ruby, the reveal of Pave Real, Marinette getting a miraculous, and focus on the future (mostly getting into high school). I’m hindsight, this could also have been the final arc, but I was thinking at the time that it was going to go on longer.
