[Anxiety. That was the only word Eve could use to describe how he felt as he slowly trailed behind Fox. The long, bright hallways were now more a place of familiarity and comfort to Eve than ones of fear and dread. The days of his shows were still ever present, but now he had someone else to help make these hallways seem more lively. That someone, however, hasn't been around in a while.

It had been almost two weeks exactly since Eve had seen Felix. The doctors only released him from the medbay a few days before his current endeavor, and he had impatiently waited the entire time for his body to heal. The days he spent in the medbay by himself, occasionally being checked on by Fox, were long and solemn. The only good he that had come from his time there was the moment he and Felix had shared early in his stay. The memories still lay fresh in the forefront of Eve's mind. He could almost feel Felix there next to him if he imagined hard enough. Being away from the blonde man for so long had made Eve weary and anxious. Fox had done this same method to Eve. A pattern of breaking one down by isolation. He remembered the days alone in the concrete cell, layed up and desperate for anything. A word, a touch, a noise. The empty silence that could envelop those rooms was nauseating and the thought of Felix having to go through a similar experience was nerve-wracking.

The thoughts of nervousness spiraled downward and out of his mind when he noticed Fox had stopped in front of him. They were there, the large metal door all familiar to Eve standing in front of them. Without a word, Fox reached into his pocket and retrieved the key, unlocking the door and opening it. His eyes drifted backward to Eve, catching his gaze. Eve knew what he was saying. Behave. The moment Eve could lay his eyes on Felix, he almost teared up. He was laying in his thin cot, and the moment the sounds of the two entering the room registered to him, his head whipped upwards and toward them. "Had he not heard us coming?" Eve wondered nervously. The utter isolation wasn't new to him by any means, so he wondered for a moment if Felix had done what he had. Dissociated. Dreamt he was anywhere else but here.

Eve watched as Felix's eyes lit up when he registered who was in front of him. He also watched Fox grin at this, stepping deeper into the room as Eve slowly followed. He shrunk into himself. His eyes kept darting from the beastkin to his lover, trying to decide who he needed to be focused more on right now.]

"Good morning Felix! It's so good to finally see you again."

[Fox's tone was mocking. The fingers on Eve's hands gripped the handle of his crutches tightly. He hated that Fox even had to come down here with him but to start like this, made Eve upset. He couldn't show it, he could never display that kind of emotion in the presence of Fox, but internally he was pleading with him to just be quiet and leave so Eve could put together whatever was left of the man in front of them.]

"It's been so long since our last encounter. Tell me, how have you been?"
