the starling girl was like ... horrific. it was the worst will-they-won’t-they in the world because u don’t want them to kiss or hook up but u know they will because u know what this movie is about. they kiss for the first time and ur horrified and u can’t look away because there’s nowhere else to look and there’s still like an hour and 15 mins runtime left and u realize u are trapped in this hell with eliza scanlen, perpetually 17 and thinking u know everything

#all this to say i LOVED it #it was extremely effective #cringe and uncomfortable and sweaty and actual openmouthed horror at some point #there's layers and nuances to it that i won't get into now just cuz i want other ppl to experience it raw the way i did KJASKJSKJ #walking in for lewis content and then leaving ...
