Akatsuki Halloween Week Day Eleven;; Apocalypse - Existence||Oblivion

I wish I was able to draw the whole week, but lack of time and motivation and artblock ;w;

Anyway, this last day prompt matches perfectly an AU I created in may 2016. I self-reblogged some of it yesterday but long story short :

Being orphaned around 7-8, those 3 grew together in an orphanage. They had special powers, but since they didn’t bothered anyone they were let alone. Until Orochimaru, a guy with similar powers fucked up everything, creating prehistoric-like monsters in his laboratory, that destroyed everything and ate people, embodying the Apocalypse. People began to organize themselves to survive, so did Yahiko, Nagato and Konan. But then the self-proclaimed government that appeared soon after the Apocalypse began to chase people like them. Yahiko got captured once, thus saving both his friends. They made experiences on him and he managed to escape, but he never was the same. Chased by both Humans and Creatures , the trio then struggle to survive and always travel, hoping they will find people like them who will accept them.

Also this allow me to develop this AU a bit ; you may notice that Nagato doesn’t have any scars, because no Creature managed to attack him thanks to his power, which he activates unconsciously and can’t control, and he keeps blaming himself for it, because his friends get hurt and not him.

Happy birthday, Konan my queen<3

To expect the organization to do something nice for her birthday was the same as expecting Kakuzu to donate all this money to charity: virtually impossible.

She came back to a base with a stench of smoke in the air, the lilac scented candles she had bought already scorching curtains. The blue haired woman stood in the doorway of Hell for a few moments, watching Sasori deny sacrificing one of his puppets to enclose the flames and Kisame form hand seals rapidly. It was chaos, to say the least, and Konan turned on her heel and headed straight into the room she shared with Pein.

Despite how many furious knocks sounded at the door, she refused to open it and look the others in the eye. Although it now made sense that she was send on missions so that the rest of them could attempt to put together some kind of a celebration, both the failure of that and the exhaustion left Konan in a rather bitter mood, sending shuriken flying at the door. The rhythm of thuds had everyone on the other side immediately leaving.

"They're a handful..."

Konan reached up and tugged the flower out of her hair, placing it gently on the night stand as she shed her cloak. It draped across the back of a chair carefully, and she laid down on the bed, bringing her knees up slightly as brown eyes closed. A final sigh was given and she felt the muscles in her body relax as she tried to succumb to sleep.

"...I'm sorry."

But, in the Akatsuki, one could never simply sleep.

Even without opening her eyes, Pein was the one that she knew had come in, as no one else had the guts to step into their room. And although she wanted to continue sleeping, Konan had no choice but to open an eye--for Pein, she thought, only because it was him--and she saw the orange haired male in front of her, purple eyes gazing at her calmly.

"What?" It came out harsher than she had intended, yet she couldn't bring herself to care as much as she could. At least no flicker of guilt passed through his face. It would've probably been enough to have her apologizing.

"...Happy birthday."

Two words and that was it, but Konan found a bit of her stress melting away at the expression, such a sincere look in his eyes when he said it. She gave a slight smile and pushed herself up from laying down on the bed, and Pein immediately kissed her. It was a bold gesture that she was hardly graced with, but she couldn't say she minded, eyes fluttering close and opening only a few moments after he pulled back.

"Thank you."
