Pokemon Challenge 2024! #1037 Spookeko.

Spookeko evolves from Pooky, and is a Ghost/Grass type. You can't tell so well with his ghostly blue glow, but unlike their children adult pukeko are quite colourful. There's no logical reason for him to be a Ghost type, except that I was spitballing pukeko puns when my six year old said "Spookeko!" and that was way better than anything else I was coming up with. It also works for me because contrary to their cute appearance, pukeko are predators and will catch smaller birds and tear their heads off - my wife used to work for the bird rescue where they had a semi-domesticated pukeko (called Pooky!) who just left sparrow heads lying around his enclosure like horrible home decor. He would also make this exact pose when he was threatening the volunteers (shortly before charging and attacking their ankles with his surprisingly sharp beak). She had to wear thick jeans and steel-capped boots to defend against that little fucker.

Three hours late, woooooooooooooooooo!

JOCuary day 13

Today was a free day, so I created a fakemon ultra beast! It's a two stage, and is meant to be part of a starter trio with Poiple!

Since the description is a bit small:

"It pretends to be hurt in order to lure in prey, once the victim investigates, it attacks with powerful jaws and razor sharp coils of metal. Its 'ears' are actually its eyes, and its 'back half' is actually its tail. It's considered a popular starter in its world."

Song: Rises the Moon

The final day brings a more relaxed piece-- a Mismagius. Mismagius was my first favorite ghost type from the Diamond/Pearl era, but I was never able to get one since I played Diamond. I had one traded to me back then, but wasn't able to nickname it, so that was a bust. Even as future titles went on, I was never really able to get a Misdreavus for my story team to turn into a Mismagius. Brilliant Diamond finally gave me that chance though when a friend traded me an egg, so that was awesome!

Mismagius may not be the most talked about Pokemon out there, but still means a lot personally. As one of my all time favorites, I had to make something relaxing to wrap up this month of favorite characters from different games, even if a lot came from the same series.

Thank you to those who have watched this silly little art challenge go down :D truly! I was going to make bonus doodles, but I definitely need to rest a bit. Have a great day if you read this far down!

So today's prompt for @thepromptfoundry's March Magic was "Elemental Magic" so I thought about pokemon starters and how there could be a game someday that could use familiars as the model (Gamefreak,1996) . I sort of wish there was a water cat pokemon since I tend to choose water starters(Gamefreak, 1996). Which starters do you guys tend to choose?

Pokemon Challenge 2024! #1045 Wetabug.

Wetabug is the final evolution of Hoogrub and Pewpa, and is a Bug type. I might get some flak for this because weta are not actually related to huhu grubs - I always thought weta was the te reo Māori word and huhu beetle was the English word, but I found out just recently that they are actually completely different insects. However I didn't want to do both as their own evolution lines so I combined them with the knowledge it's not accurate to life. Sorry to any avid taxonomists out there (my wife).

Fusion February 2024 Day 28: Mausapple

The Family Apple Pokemon. Mausapple is a Normal/Grass type. The number of heads grew spontaneously & it is unclear if they are related to the main heads or simply burrowed into the same apple. They attack as one, throwing globs of sticky syrup or biting ferociously.
