I'm so sick of seeing people say "I'm not proship or anti ship, I'm a secret third thing.(Normal)" shut the fuck up. homie not caring what people read/write as long as it's not actively harming anyone is proship. That's what it means. There's no 'secret third thing' there's "I think it's OK to harass people over fiction" and "I do not think it's OK to harass people over fiction". That's it. Get over yourself. You're not better than anyone because you can go "I don't care about the drama" all you're saying is you don't care that people are being harassed over fiction because you think you're above. Just shut the fuck up you annoying bitch.

antis be like
"ugh, and people say antishippers are the ones harassing people 🙄"
*posts a single screenshot of literally one problematic shipper harassing someone as if it's nothing compare to the thousands upon thousands of death threats, death wishes, suicide-baiting, and harassment that they've sent to us.*

Would love to know what you think of the various "problematic" Azula ships that are making the rounds on tumblr.
Zucest, OzaixAzula, ZhaoxAzula, HakodaxAzula etc.
Do you like or ship any? Why or why not?
...oh boy.
I already made a post about Zucest, so I'm not gonna cover too much ground on that front. What I am going to say is that I don't ship it. I get why people ship it. I certainly think it's better than some alternatives. I just don't support it. Mainly because I have issues with Zuko (that I am trying to work out), and I'm just not into incest shipping.
Same goes for Ozula. Mainly because that particular ship is too depressing for my tastes. I'm one of those people who's almost always on the verge of declaring humanity a lost cause, so I don't do too good with darker works and materials. Azula always being under Ozai's thrall triggers that because of the implications.
As for the rest, I do know it's a thing for some people to ship young women (or girls in Azula's case) with older men, but I'm just not into it. Like at all. I mean, no disrespect for those who do enjoy them, but I'm not one of them.
In short, I don't personally ship any of the proships. I know people who do, but I am not one of them. And I certainly don't believe in going after those who do. So anybody who has any bright ideas of going after them, please note that these are fictional characters we're talking about, and the fandom was torn apart by more than one ship war. We are adults, we should handle this like adults, and set an example for the rest.

I wish more people understood that you can have hard limits and boundaries when it comes to fictional content you enjoy without insinuating that anyone who doesn't share similar opinions is some kind of freak/pervert/monster.

y'know those pronoun bracelets that genderfluid people usually use, and they change which bracelet they wear based on their gender?
what if we had those for alters, each having one alters name? I feel like it would be easier to tell who is fronting based on which bracelet you feel most connected to at the time

One thing (and trust me, theres more) i hate about antis is their hypocrisy towards different crimes
"You can't ship that! It's illegal!!" Yeah and the guy who murders people is also illegal, but youre fine with shipping him with people.
"You can't like that character! They canonically sexually assaulted someone!" But you love that one character who physically assaults people?
I don't get why antis thing sexual crimes are the worst of the worst and if you even tolerate a character who did that, you deserve to get death threats. And the fact that they hate abusive ships so badly, but love characters who are murderers? That's just double standards, and I'm tired of it.
If one immoral crime is okay in fiction, then they all should be. No crime is above or below other crimes. They're all horrible actions that can traumatize someone for life, but since its fictional and not real, all of them should be okay to engage in, IN FICTION. Because it isn't real.
"But sexual, abuse, and pedophilic crimes can trigger someone! That's why we cant have them!" You ever thought that maybe murder and assault could trigger someone? There's a lot of people who are triggered by gore, and yet I don't see any antis sending death threats to those who make it. And guess what? Tagging exists. You can filter out tags so that you don't have to see any of that. That's why tagging posts is so important, so that people who have triggers related to that content won't be able to see it. Problem solved, and everyone gets to do what they want.
But antis just don't want to do that? They'd rather shame people for liking immoral things, or not even just immoral, things THEY classify as more immoral than other immoral things.
It seriously makes no sense, and I can't grasp how antis think like this.

Get the fuck out of fandom then. Seriously, if you can't stand people aging up characters for smut, get out. You don't know if they did it to explore their relationships further or just so they could fuck anyway. Fucking leave. Get out of fandom if you're not mature enough to handle that people will do what they want, regardless of how you feel about it. I don't care that you're a minor, stop being so fucking entitled. If you can't tell the difference between people who are only interested in fictional characters and people who are interested in real life minors, you need to get out of fandom spaces, and off the internet entirely, until you can use common sense to protect yourself. Choke on your spite and entitlement.

"dO yOu KnOW tHeY'rE bRoThErS" yes baby, I watched the fucking show.
Now repeat after me:
Liking something in fiction doesn't necessarily mean you endorse it in reality.
Fiction doesn't affect reality unless you personally want to.
If you can't separate fictional content from reality you shouldn't engage in such content.
If you don't like something just ignore it, scroll past. Block the tag or the person if you might.
They're not real people, nobody is actually being hurt.
I've been in fandom spaces for the past 10 years; I've been called an abuser, a pedophile, told to kill myself, harrassed, suspended from at least 2 social media platforms due to mass-reporting. The characters may not be real but I certainly am but doesn't look like that has ever stopped antis. And you know what all this changed? Absolutely nothing. I literally don't give a fuck and never will. Learn how to inhabit online spaces and how to respect people or leave, I'm not here to cater to your needs.

one thing i don’t think antis are ready to confront is that outside of our type of fandom… people aren’t like them.
booktok is full of open and honest recommendations for monsterfucker books and “dark” romance - books that usually involve abusive or harmful partners, incest/psuedo incest, massive age gaps, and general dynamics that wouldn’t be desirable in real life. and because this is all on tiktok, where the algorithm reigns supreme, sometimes these recs end up outside of booktok. and you know what people do? they usually go “whoa, the books are porn?” or “that’s a little too much for me…” and chuckle a little at some of the very intense themes that booktok has come to love.
it’s easy, respectful, and common for people to see tropes and themes they don’t enjoy, and to NOT attack and harass people about it.

shoutout to selfshippers without soft f/os.
f/os who you cant really apply soft imagines to. Ones that you have a hard time hearing soft words in their voice. Ones who don't really have that soft, fluffy type of love language.
They have other ways of showing they love you outside of that movie-esque, fluffy type of romance! Maybe it's more casual, maybe its a kind only you two understand. anyways it is, they love you nonetheless! remember that!
