Malleus smirked and curled around Silver, pulling him closer. Silver babbled and laughed happily in his sleep while patting Malleus.

By the time you reach to the bed, you are both exhausted due to your.. unusual activities. He cuddles you and lets you lay your head on his shoulder. Before you go to sleep though...

M - Marriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?

Initially, I don’t think Leona would want to get married. He’s so fundamentally against the rules and the stiffness of royal life, and if he were to get engaged and get married, he would have no chance of not doing it in a big royal wedding. The very thought gives him the heebie jeebies. 

But when he notices your relationship getting more seriously, and you start talking about a future, he starts realizing that he’s either going to have to do something about it, or risk the chance of losing you. Once Leona gets into a relationship, it’s quite serious, and he wouldn’t let you think that it is because of you that he wouldn’t want to get married. 

The proposal itself would be pretty lowkey and intimate, just the two of you, maybe not even a ring, so you can pick some out together -that way you’re sure to get something you like. He will insist on doing everything himself in the planning of said proposal. No servants or family around. He wants it to be as intimate as possible, because once the engagement is known and the ball starts rolling, none of the occasions will be lowkey or intimate anymore. And while he will put up with that for you, he will enjoy the casualness of the before phase as much as possible. 

Marriage, besides you officially becoming a part of the royal family, doesn’t change much about the relationship. The dynamics are mostly the same. The only thing is that Leona cannot protect you from participating in royal duties that much anymore. As a full-fledged member of the royal family, you will have to do certain things. And with Leona as your husband, maybe you can try and ditch duties together every once in a while?

How you leaned on him and Silver did the same. How you checked up on him and made sure he was okay.

How he, in return, cared for you just as much.

Lilia remembered the burning pit in his stomach.

“Jealous of my own son, oh precious, what you do to me.”

He recalled how he kicked Silver to distract the enemies and the slight satisfaction he felt before you screamed for his son.

The way you checked and made sure Silver was okay and the look of disappointment you sent him after, had his past self flinching.

He recalled how he wanted to take you and claim you. Over and over, until you knew nothing else but him. Wanted nothing else but him. Begged for him and he would have gladly provided.

The word is whispered in the recess of his mind. Yes.

As you stirred awake, blinking up at him. Bringing a hand up to cup his cheek, you called his name with your voice filled with sleep and love.

That was all it took.

Lilia felt himself give in to his inner and darker desires. Why deny himself? When you were right here? So willing and loving?

The hands clutching at him. Leaving marks of your own. The gasps and moans that you sung, expressed how willing you were.

It wasn’t enough, but it would be. He didn’t plan to stop until the lines that separated you two blurred into one.

Do you ever think about the fairy tale subversion of Silver and Malleus. Like yeah the time knife Maleficent cares about Sleeping Beauty and assisted in raising her subversion we’ve all seen it! But but but. Diasomnia is based on a fairy tale and out of all the dorms gives the strongest fairy tale vibe bc there’s a prince and his knights and also that prince is a dragon and one of his knights might be a lost prince, and that gives the opportunity to go directly for a classic trope beyond just the story they’re twisted from. The dragon loves the prince as dearly as if they were of the same blood. The knight would sooner cut his own throat than allow the dragon to come to harm. And yet they’re still being pitted against each other by the narrative now in book 7, Malleus casting a curse on Silver and everyone else because he thinks it’ll protect them and Silver fighting against him to save him from his Overblot.
