Do you regret your degrees in music?
no, even at the lowest i've ever felt regarding music—when i thought i would never sing again and i couldn't bear to even hear it—i never regretted pursuing those degrees or my career in music. even if i never sang again i would not regret those degrees. i met some of the dearest people in my life through those degrees, i learned who i was with and without music because of those degrees, i speak multiple languages and learned translation work because of those degrees. i have been able to bring some small measure of comfort to people on the worst days of their lives and been a backdrop to people on the happiest days of their lives. at the end of the day, the heartbreaks were only heartbreaks because of my deep love for music/singing. that shows me i had to pursue it to whatever end.
so, no, i don't regret them. would i make different choices in how i approached them if i could? yes. but i think that's always the case as you get older and look back at things with the knowledge and perspective you gain with life experience.

48 minutes of B-roll footage from the video shoot for "Enjoy The Silence" sourced from an unknown generation VHS tape digitized by DMLiveWiki. The majority of the video footage consists of the band members standing around for the black & white portion of the music video. The last 18 minutes contains B-roll footage of Dave's outdoor scenes in the king costume.
Because the VHS's audio is various remixes of the song, the audio has been removed, so you must quite literally "enjoy the silence". The video quality is not particularly good, unfortunately.
Happy anniversary to one of Violator’s greatest tracks 👑

How Kurt Cobain Came Up with a Song While Listening to The Beatles All Day
It's no secret that Cobain was a big fan of the Fab Four. We all remember his phrase, which became a meme: "Tell us about yourself; - I've always loved The Beatles or something like that. Especially The Beatles."
As Far Out magazine writes:
In fact, Cobain created the unique sound of Nirvana by combining his interest in the Fab Four with heavier elements of punk and metal, focusing on both the power of simple melodies and deeper and thought-provoking musical arrangements.
While trying out the Liverpool album once again, Cobain listened to the 1964 album "Meet the Beatles!" that day. The song "About a Girl" became a kind of translation of the marathon. The Beatles' influence can be seen in the simple chord sequence that the song begins with. Also, for example, The Beatles joined in "I Want to Hold Your Hand".
Initially, the composition did not have a name. Kurt talks in it about a difficult relationship with his then girlfriend, which is probably why the working "About A Girl" stuck with her.
Of course, the sound created by Cobain and which has become the epitome of the grunge movement may seem far from the lighter and more optimistic sound of The Beatles. However, Kurt's ability to revisit old sounds and create something new and interesting from a mix of different styles has become the main innovative feature of Nirvana.
