If Ramshackle did become an official dorm, what attribute would be associated with it?

I think it'd be neat if Ramshackle's value was ingenuity, creativity, or something along those lines! It's the dorm that is the most "different" from the others and also houses more than one unconventional student (including the weird resident rock eater, Grim). Yuu, who lives in Ramshackle, doesn't have magic but it can be argued that they make up for that deficit through other talents and skills--which is something that requires ingenuity. In a way, this could also be seen as Yuu's own "magic", since actual magic uses imagination (which is tied to creativity) to help visualize spells.

Ramshackle isn't formally associated with a particular figure from Disney animation, but if we assume that Mickey is the equivalent of a G7 figure then the creativity angle also makes sense. Mickey is well-known as the mascot for Disney, and Disney is known for innovation in the realm of animation, especially with the release of the first cel animated feature length film, Snow White. I don't know if I would call Disney the pinnacle of creativity now (with them churning out sequels, making live actions versions of their classics, and buying up more competition rather than producing original works), but they were back in the day. It helps that the world of Twisted Wonderland has mainly involved characters twisted from the 2D era of Disney works, which is generally considered to be their "peak".

Ever after high thronecoming is such good fiction. Because the weeks leading up to Thronecoming, all the kids are conducting business as usual. going to class, lunch with friends, homework, with the occasional festive excitement of going in for a dress fitting or rehearsing your ballroom dance. And I’m sure there are moments where, as an EAH student, you’re just barely able to distract yourself from how dreadful the reality of the situation is about to be.

But then you hear the word “book” or “choice” out of context and this pit forms in your stomach, and you’re suddenly reminded that in 8 days or whatever, your entire graduating class is going to parade down a field in the middle of the night like some kind of medieval catholic ritual, and crack open a dusty magic book, pick up a quill, and sign away the rest of their lives to be poisoned, hunted, betrayed, or murdered by their classmates, their roommates, their lab partners.

And then suddenly you’re thinking about Rachel from your history class, who is supposed to push a fucking boulder up a hill for the rest of time, or accidentally insult a member of the fae and spend her life as a fir tree. And you’re like. Hold on. Rachel wears lululemon. She drinks ice coffee and has brown hair like a chestnut and has never said a single bad word about anyone ever. She borrowed a blue pen from you a week ago in the middle of class. She’s just Rachel, and she’s supposed to be subject to her mother’s destiny regardless of her own will or wants or dreams or goals? She’s supposed to be complacent?

And you’re thinking about how one day you’ll be old and weathered, rocking back and forth on a porch somewhere watching your grandchildren play, and she’ll still be on some hill pushing a fucking boulder to the top? You’ll be rotting in some grave under a nice kind tombstone and she’ll still be pushing up that goddam boulder! Ever After High dystopian reboot when?

More of Ever After High redraws. I always liked Raven as a kid it made sense because I always had a liking for the protagonists especially if they were girls as well as darker in story and color scheme. I always found her character and goals interesting and I still do to this day.

iirc ramshackle might be older than nrc? pomefiore's the oldest dorm, and snow white is the oldest disney movie, so we can assume that the dorms were founded in the order their respective movies were released. but the thru the mirror short is older than snow white

Yes, I mentioned Pomefiore's age in this post! Though it has yet to be confirmed in official materials, if we assume that the release date of the associated Disney animation represents the age of each dorm, that means the dorms, in order of youngest to oldest would be:

Ignihyde (Hercules, 1997)

Savanaclaw (The Lion King, 1994)

Scarabia (Aladdin, 1992)

Octavinelle (The Little Mermaid, 1989)

Heartslabyul (Alice in Wonderland, 1961)

Diasomnia (Sleeping Beauty, 1959)

Pomefiore (Snow White, 1937)

Ramshackle (Thru the Mirror, 1936)

What’s weird is that TWST tells us very explicitly that Pomefiore is the oldest dorm, even though Ramshackle is also said to be a dorm (there’s dialogue implying students used to be housed there). This results in a contradiction because if we assume the year the animation came out indicates how old the dorm is, Ramshackle should be considered the oldest, not Pomefiore.

So… either the animation year = age of the dorm assumption is incorrect (because, to be fair, this is a theory and not confirmed by the game), or there is a technicality in-universe which strikes Ramshackle from the running. Maybe Ramshackle didn’t start off as a dorm and only became one further down the line after Pomefiore was already established?? Or maybe since it fell into ruin it’s no longer a dorm to be compared to the other “active” 7??? There’s still a lot we don’t know about Ramshackle, so any of these ideas are equally as likely.

EAH MUSICAL #25 (PART II) BECAUSE I WANT IT SO BAD

Briar gets a song called "Party On" which sounds like it's supposed to be super fun and upbeat and about her being a party girl, but I want a Thronecoming moment, I want a raw moment of Briar calling out Apple while getting their dresses fitted about how

"I can't bear to just move on, 'Cause I'm just meant to party on"

(But imagine I actually know how to write songs, vibes are all I'm good at)

I want a dramatic duet between The Evil Queen and Snow White called "Let The Games Begin" with some jazzy showy feuding lines, but an overwhelming, almost doomed undertone, kind of like "The Plagues" from The Prince of Egypt (if you went to religous ed or sunday school you most likely watched that movie and or veggie tales)

I also want a song where it's all the teachers singing in a flashback of when they were banishing the Evil Queen to her mirror prison and it's all of them singing about everyone that's on the line if they don't succeed called "Mirror Mirror"

Adding on to that, The Evil Queen gets a "Mirror Mirror (Reprise)" number about how much she's been reformed since she was cast away, this would take place during Dragon Games when she manipulated Apple into keeping her mouth shut about her being free

And of course we have to have a number where it's all the bookball boys talking about winning the big game for Thronecoming and halfway through Cerise steps in about wanting to be on the team and they laugh it off a reject her

Then we get a part two to the previous number "Making The Team (Again)" where it's the boys begging for Cerise to help them before they get stomped on

(This idea comes from @krussy-reblog-blog thank you for responding to the previous post <3) Cerise also gets a solo where she tells Raven about her big family secret (when Kitty was going to out her secret to everyone) and how she's afraid of people knowing called "All Ears"

I also just want a number called "Jumpy" about Hopper trying to flirt with Briar and turning into a frog every. single. time. Like he's sabotaging himself spectacularly and Faybelle is snickering in the background, laughing her ass off

And if you think I'm not going to push my bribelle agender during pride month? oh honey, you've got a big storm coming

So we all know how Briar falls asleep in random places all the time because of her curse right? right. Well I want a song set probably during or after the events of Epic Winter where Briar and Faybelle are talking about the dream they both shared after being exposed to the spindle dust. In the beginning of the song is when Briar is sharing her fears about her future and her destiny and then partway through it switches to Faybelle singing about how she doesn't want to curse Briar, but at the end she realizes Briar fell asleep on her shoulder BECAUSE IT'S CUTE AND I SAID SO. The song will be called "Thorns and Roses" and it will be beautiful
