you cannot tell me that remus and pandora did not become best friends after the war. you simply cannot.

they both lost all of their friends in that dammed war.

james, lily, Peter, and Marlene were dead. sirius was in azkaban.

Evan, dorcas, and regulus were dead. Barty in azkaban.

they both were in the same position.

you cannot tell me that a year after the first wizarding war, remus gets suprised to see pandora rosier- lovegood now- at his door with baby luna on her left hip, smiling up at him.

you cannot tell me that they did not meet up constantly, that luna didn't know remus before he became her professor in her second year. no, because he wasn't "professor lupin", he was "uncle remus"

it was uncle remus who took care of him when panda and xeno were on date nights, the same uncle remus that loves to play hide and seek with a 3yo luna

it was uncle remus that thought her how to ride a bike, how to read any enjoy the company of books, how to make the best tea and hot cocoa ever.

it was uncle remus who tended to her when she got chicken pox at 7 and pandora and xeno were freaking out because, "we've heard of dragon pox, but not chicken pox!"

it was uncle remus who answered all of her questions about werewolves at the age of 8.

it was uncle remus who helped her when luna lost her mom at 9. (pandora's death devasted remus. they had gotten closer during the years due to the weekly meetings and how much more common they got as luna got older. but he had to stay strong for luna the same way he had to stay strong for harry after they lost sirius)

it was uncle remus who thought her basic magic at 10 to prepare her for hogwarts

it was uncle remus who would squeeze her to death at 11 before sending her of to hogwarts

it was uncle moony who gave her The Talk™ at 14.

What if! The Black Brothers and Rosier Twins were friends growing up. Regulus and Pandora have always been close, but Evan and Sirius use to be close, cause they were the older of the siblings (I headcanon Evan to be the older twin, and that their birthday is before Regulus's), and other reasons, but mostly that. What if a few days before Sirius left for Hogwarts, the Rosiers spent the night, and while Reg and Dora were asleep, Sirius made Evan promise to watch over Reggie while he was gone. What if Sirius told Evan that it was his responsibility to watch over Dora and Reg now that he was gone at school, just like how Bellatrix told Andromeda, who told Narcissa, who told Sirius. What if that's why Evan and Reggie, initially, became best friends? They were obviously friends before, but they weren't super close until Sirius left. What if Evan was just as devastated as Reg when Sirius came back for Christmas holiday and realized he had changed? What if that made him resent Sirius a little, what if seeing Regulus be hurt by it as well made him resent him even more? What if, despite Evan resenting Sirius a bit, he still tried to be his friend (cause I believe they were each others first best friend that weren't their siblings)? What if Evan convinced Regulus and Pandora to find Sirius on their first train ride to Hogwarts, because he wanted to sit with him? What if when they found him, he was already sitting with his Gryffindor friends and was mad that they had come to find him so he took them out of the compartment and told them, in French, that they weren't kids anymore and they don't have to follow him everywhere he goes, that he has his own friends now and doesn't need them pestering him, what if that's the first time Evan thought he hated Sirius? But what if, despite hating Sirius, he still followed his orders of taking care of Reg and Dora? What if that's (part of) the reason why he joined the Death Eaters in the first place, so he could take care of Regulus? What if Regulus saw Evan more like a big brother than Sirius after Sirius left him? What if that made Sirius hate Evan? What if they both died hating their first friend?

James was really drunk at a party he stumbled to the bathroom to be greeted by Mary, Marlene and Lily. Marlene and Mary, instantly aware of why he’s there, go over and help he get to the toilet to vomit. Lily stands there confused why they’re helping James. Like James “asshole pure-blood” Potter?? Marlene gives out to James while he tries to sleep on the toilet, so she tells him to start talking. He rambles about how he wants to go help Pete cause he left him alone of the sofa out there, how he has to help Sirius and Remus talk because they’re too nervous to do it by themselves, how he has to give advice to Dorcas because she doesn’t know what’s the best alcohol they have, how Pandora lost her shoes and he has to help her, how Barty is overwhelmed and how he has to get him out, that Evan wants weed and he was supposed to get some for him, and how he was supposed to do and help so many people. Mary and Marlene nodding along and rubbing his back and holding his hand like it’s normal?? Lily stands there watching James potter tell them how he doesn’t have time to be sick cause there’s people who need help more.

Lily realises maybe he’s different.

"How do you even do this?" Regulus asked, fiddling with the paper in his hands.

Pandora placed another butterfly on his head and grabbed another piece of paper from her bag.

"Its really simple you know." She smiled and quickly folded up another one.

"Maybe for you" He groaned and put the paper down on the grass.

"Its hard to get it at first, I have a jar full of these in my dorm. Ive been trying to enchant them to fly around, a few of them have turned to ashes." She smiled at the memory and tore out another square of paper.

Regulus leaned back against the tree they were sitting under and stared over at the lake, where the marauders were recalling the latest quidditch game to a small group in excruciating (and possibly exaggerating) detail.

"Full of themselves aren't they?" He remarked, the corners of his mouth turning up slightly as peter tried to imitate how James caught the snitch, and fell over onto Sirius.

"I think its nice how enthusiastic they are. You would be less critical if Sirius wasn't a part of their group"

"Dora they're retelling a story that everyone saw yesterday as if its an old legend that happened centuries ago." He let out a small laugh.

"Sometimes I think you don't know how to have fun Reg."

Regulus scoffed and looked back at her. "Why don't we try making the butterflies again?"

it’s about time i did the object of my affections

FIRSTLY i am so undecided on what house they’d be in (i don’t read much hogwarts stuff i prefer aus so it’s not something i really think about tbh) but i like both slytherin and gryffindor dorcas

really close with pandora (ravenclaw together?) it’s a friendship they never excepted and even fought it off at first but pandora was relentless and dorcas is forever grateful for that (think grumpy sunshine friendship)

THE most powerful witch of their age like voldy had to personally kill them?? what more do i have to say

they never died and lives happily with marlene and a kitten

due to this they have an academic rivalry with lily but they actually both love it and it motivates them to try their hardest even when it seems like a struggle. they soon bond over other things like muggle books and music, forming a real friendship

they became enamoured with marlene on the quidditch pitch, and through spending more time with her fell in love with the fire that burned so brightly in her.

became an auror, eventually progressing to being the chief of auror’s (or whatever the title for that is)

in a muggle universe they would have a powerful role in something creative; think top music producer, ceo of a gallery, tattoo artist with their own shop.

hates being called dorky or dorks unless it’s marlene or james for some reason

has a funny little friendship with remus. they don’t hang out very often just the two of them, but somehow seem to gravitate towards each other in group settings and dorcas innately trusts remus with a lot. their respective friendships with lily help this bond grow

By the end of four year Barty has so many snake related things, many people in Hogwarts think he's a slytherin (Regulus lends him his robe once and he pretend to be a Slytherin for a whole day before Professor Sprout sees him).

In return, he starts giving raven things to the Slytherins. Dorcas loves her blue tie with a silver raven pin and her shirt with a little raven knitted; Evan has raven cufflinks (Barty made sure they were real silver so Evan could used them with his expensives suits) and he has a blue belt, the bukle has a little crow in it; Reggie has a Ravenclaw headband that he uses for Quidditch, a sweater with the Ravenclaw's colours and knitted in the bag can be read "starshine" in big bold letters (Barty started calling Regulus like that when they were 13 and is now his official nickname). Also, Regulus and Barty exchange Quidditch clothes on days of Ravenclaw against Slytherin matches just to infuriate both teams.
