--There are Four Foundational Families (one in each: Vale, Mistral, Mantle/Atlas and Vacuo) that can be considered Primarchical Royal Families (that is to say: they are Ozlem descendants. This fact is VERY hidden knowledge; so hidden in fact that neither Salem nor Ozpin knew until later on). --The Four Foundational Families share the following characteristics: Incredibly powerful and versatile (as well as hereditary) Semblances, immensely potent and dense Aura (not always vast, this depends on the individual), incredible life force (that is to say, they age slowly, seldom get ill and have much larger than average lifespan), and recessive yet highly persistent Silver Eyes AND Black Blood genes (rarely, some descendants are born with either one or both of these traits being dominant at random). The Schnee and Pendragon (now Arc) families are two confirmed families out of the four. --The Schnee and the Arc families have a longtime friendship with each other (which leads to the Schneeblings and the Arc Siblings being childhood friends). --Cinder was found and adopted by Qrow. Because of the series of events that unfolded prior to this, Qrow was ALMOST persona-non-grata in Atlas (Ironwood, Willow and Ozpin had to call in on a LOT of favors for the "Almost" part). --Weiss (and by extension Winter and Whitley) are childhood friends with Jaune (and his sisters). However, whereas Weiss enrolled in Atlas Prep to follow her sister's footsteps, Jaune studied in Shade Academy, where he met and befriended Pyrrha Nikos (and became her first and best friend, as well as her first love and her friendliest rival). --Saphron, Winter, Cinder and Terra studied in Beacon (Saphron, Winter and Terra came from Atlas Prep, where as Cinder came from Signal) and were on the same team (Team ASBT/Asbestos). Saphron was the leader, Saphron and Terra were partners while Winter and Cinder were partnered. --Winter and Cinder got along like cat-and-dog/ice-and-fire, with Cinder goading and taunting Winter every chance she could and Winter inevitably losing her temper (think of Qrow and Winter's canon dynamic). Cinder disdained Winter (at first) because she thought of her as a spoiled Atlesian princess (and Cinder hated anything to do with Atlas) while Winter detested being compared to a vapid socialite that was common for an Atlesian lady of her age (it was the reason she chose to come to Beacon after all, with Ironwood's endorsement no less, to get away from it all).

--Saphron Arc was pretty much the "Summer Rose/Glynda Goodwitch/Pyrrha Nikos" of her generation; that is to say, she was an unparalleled prodigy among her peers (shame that she, along with Terra, retire from being huntsmen early on). --Because of the different circumstances, Cinder Branwen was made the Fall Maiden instead of Amber (originally, Saphron was the one planned to be made the maiden; however, she declined). Amber, instead, is one of Cinder's bodyguards. --During their time in Beacon: Weiss and Pyrrha are fierce rivals in both love (over Jaune) and combat, and every time they fight, they never fail to destroy the arena. It has gotten to the point that Glynda prohibits them from fighting each other during Combat Class because she dreads having to clean up the mess. --Ozpin and Qrow can't help but reminisce over the fact that Pyrrha's and Weiss' rivalry was like a mix between Summer's and Raven's (fighting over Tai), and Winter's and Cinder's (fundamentally so very very similar that they can't help BUT clash).

Misses Arc: It was stowed away on the shelf, next to "The Girl Who Fell Through the World". I thought about lending it to Jaune, but he seemed less interested in olden court intrigue and more fixated on comedic adventures, like his Pumpkin Pete books, as well as his comic books.

Blake: That makes sense. I never could get interested in them.

Misses Arc: Neither could I until I found an interesting loophole. See, Jaune loved his comic books, but he could never sit through one chapter of "Jester's Reign" until I found a graphic novel version of the story. Then I found other novel set in the world of his comic books. Soon enough, I'd found a common ground and managed to get him to read the entire "Harlequeen" trilogy without even realizing it!

Blake: Oh, I love that series!

Misses Arc: And so did Jaune.

Opinion on DragonSlayer?

Ah, Dragonslayer. Definitely has one of the better ship names in the RWBY fandom. Also I'm just going to you DS from now on because I'm tired.

Values and personality wise, I think they work well together. With Yang pushing Jaune out of his comfort zone, and being there for him when he falls down. And Jaune being there for Yang when she's feeling vulnerable and needs some support. They both have a way of keeping each other going in tough times. They're both very family oriented. Plus they can probably bond over being an older sibling, and maybe having some parental troubles depending on how you write the Arcs.

And yeah, the comparisons between Jaune and Taiyang are obvious.

Though personally I break DS down into two eras. Beacon era DS and post Beacon DS.

During their time at Beacon, I don't really see them getting together. I can absolutely see Jaune having a thing for Yang. You could even convince me that Yang has feelings for him as well, but I still don't really think she would. And even if she did I don't see her really perusing that relationship.

Mostly because I don't really think Yang would be perusing a romantic relationship during their first year at Beacon. She's looking for Raven. Trying to balance getting a bit a freedom and still taking care of Ruby while still giving her enough space to grow on her own a little bit. Not to mention just making sure Ruby doesn't get herself hurt. While also making sure Blake doesn't run off and do anything crazy again.

You don't have much time for relationships when your the team mom.

And if she was going to get into a romantic relationship, it would be with someone like Sun, Blake, Ren, or Pyrrha. Simply because Jaune hasn't really had a chance to show off the traits that would make them work well together to her, and she wouldn't value those traits as much as she would later on. She would just views Jaune as Ruby's friend and the guy who threw up on her boots.

But that doesn't mean that it can't happen, but you would need to force them together often and in ways where Jaune could show those positive traits of his. I've read fics that have done that. Or you could do an AU where they're partners, childhood friends, etc.

Now post fall DS is where it's at.

They've both had opportunities to mature over V4 and 5. Yang would certainly appreciate Jaune keeping Ruby safe when she couldn't. And I think would start to see more of Jaune's good traits, while certainly relating to a few of his problems in those volumes. Certainly the anger and charging in problems.

So I think that spark would be lit there, probably soon after they deal with all the Haven stuff. With some awkward flirting before they get to Argus. Once Jaune gets a little bit of closure with Pyrrha, then I'd think they would have a talk and try to figure something out there. With Saphron listening in of course.

So yeah.

DS has a lot to like about it. Jaune and Yang work well together and are both very family focused. While also having a good few areas of contrast to not make it feel like it's two versions of the same character dating. It just needs a little time to mature to really reach to peak of it's potential.

7/10 at Beacon.

9/10 after Beacon.

Au (ish) idea, and this is an evil one.

The only thing changing would be Jaune and Trivia/Neo knowing each other from childhood, but they still both follow their respective canon paths, some slight changes as in Neo and Jaune would communicate with each other with Jaune trying to save the world with Ruby but trying to stop Neo from chasing down Ruby to enact revenge, ultimately it comes to a confrontation and she chooses revenge over him. This adds to putting more trauma/despair onto Jaune.

After that, things proceed as normal up until the tea party.

Now I'll get off course a bit in Vol. 9, but CC has already possessed Jaune before even Team RWBY/Neo made it to the EverAfter, already destroyed by his events with Penny and everything else, he has decided it just wasn't worth it.

Now, once the tea party thing concludes, it then turns into a mini Musical Theater show with Jaune and Neo as its leading rolls. The 1st half of the show recounts Neo's life up until now before it goes into the 2nd half, recounting Jaune's life up until that moment, and their would be like 4 dances, Happiness, Sadness, Choice and finally Consequences, each in its varying intensity.

The final dance is the consequences of both their actions. Alas, Neo is unaware that CC has been puppeting Jaune him the whole time until it's too late. In the final hug between the two of them, JauneCat uses Crocea Mors and...

Trivia Neo just looks up in shock/disbelief and horror to see no longer calming blue eyes but twisted neon blue.

Gone was that soft goofy smile in its place, a jagged chesire grin as she falls to the ground while CCJaune just looked on at the audience being Blake, Yang and Weiss before taking a bow and making his way to the big gate at the tree.

Neo could do nothing and just watch as her best friend departed from her grasp as before falling unconscious or dead, I don't know yet, still deciding.

I think I'd have Socqueline as an older student at the whateverthefuck academy (Are we going to keep the in-world names? I think we did since we had Chloé and Adrien from Atlas originally).

Like she went to Mari's regular school and then when she graduated she wanted to be a Huntress so she went to Beacon(or whatever the AU's version is).

Mari looks up to her a lot and it's one of the reasons she joins too.

Side Note: One funky thing is that a lot of the classmates aren't going to fully know each other. You have certain groups of childhood friends or a few related pairs, but it's not like they all went to the same regular school they're just now meeting. So while Chloé is still going to be a jerk at first, she doesn't have a history of bullying these characters in particular.

AU Where Pyrrha and Jaune were childhood friends

Just like it says on the tin; what if Jaune moved out with Saphron out of the House of the Arc family due to a disagreement? He would be encouraged (albeit reluctantly) by Saphron, to at least try to go to Sanctum academy to train and see if he thinks it is good for him. This is where he meets and befriends Pyrrha. It won’t be straightforward, though. Saphron would simply not be Saphron if she did not pull Jaune into some shenanigans; like enlisting him into taking some ballet classes to the side because she wanted to see him in a ballet dress (which turned out to be an incredibly wise decision: since while his classmates bullied and mocked him for it (not for long, though. Pyrrha made sure to very quickly take care of that), it also made him develop incredibly strong muscles and endurance as well as a pinpoint control of his own body unmatched by his peers.)  Pyrrha quickly saw the benefits of it and asked her parents to enlist her there too (and also, she wanted to spend more time with her first, best and only friend). One thing Pyrrha and Jaune note as they study and train together is that Jaune is the instinctive thinker/analyst while Pyrrha is the natural/instinctive fighter. They help each other on the areas they think themselves “lacking”. Jaune quickly becomes one of the top 5 students of his and Pyrrha’s year in Sanctum, but still has self-esteem issues because he considers himself weak due to always being overshadowed, and protected, by the women in his life (unaware that he has managed to awaken in Pyrrha something none of her peers ever did (besides being her first love, that is); a competitive drive that made her keep training harder, because she knew that Jaune would quickly surpass her if she got complacent) Jaune also decided to take First Aid and Field Medicine as extra courses after awakening his Semblance to help a (now former) bully by healing her injuries due to a training accident. The only clues as to why she bullied Jaune will be that she was jealous that Pyrrha was always paying attention to him.

Ok, so a friend of mine finally got his lazy ass into seeing RWBY... somehow, someway... it ended with both of us arguing about what game series would it croosover better, I had argued Overwatch, but the bastard had the nerve to say Valorant or Apex legends (disgusting I know)...

Because I mean come on... the AU essencially make itself...

Overwatch itself would have been an effort to make hunters more indenpendant, but for several factors (some of wich would have had Salems Pale, Lanky hands all over) would have been forced to disband.....

Talon would still be a thing, but their influence would be a lot less then what it would have been in the normal overwatch lore (hey, you try to climb the steps to world wide Infamy, when to Imortal wizards/witch are in a millenium long cold war with each other), however this dosent make them any less dangerous...

Ren and Nora would have been adopted into the Yamada clan, but after Genji "Death" I can see them leaving the clan and go to bacon to start over...

I like to think that Mercy would end up being a sort of Mother figure for Weiss and her brother (can't think of a reason as to why and how she would have ended up in that role)...

Reinhard would turn out to be Noras long distant Uncle...

Ruby and Tracer would have been childhood friends that would allways race to see who was the fastest (their tied as of now)

Pyrrah and Pharah would have gone to sactum togeter and have a sort of rival/frenamies thing going on....

Blake.... not so sure what she would do (and nether for Yang now that I think about it)

But for some strange reason I cant help but have the funny mental Image of both Jaune and Ashe somehow knowing each other before he got into bacon (specifeclly her being his ex) and their dinamic would be aking to that of old silver age batman and catwoman bit, where Jaune wants to put this crazy (yet really Hot) outlaw behind Bars and help her "walk" back into the right path, meanwhile Ashe would be anoyed yet amuised by Jaune constant interferance of her plans, that she cant help but want and turn that boy scout knight into the "darksied" and have him become her partner in crime... and poor Pyrrah is force to deal with the sexual tension that those two have for eatch other every time Jaune trys to stop her plans (safe to say Pyrrah hate Ashe guts with a passion... especially with all the risky cloth that she... just so happens to wear when Jaune is around)

So, Yeah what do you guys think, am I right that a RWBY X Overwatch AU would be good or is... ugh... Valorant a better option...
