It was a fresh cold morning. The air was dewy and the sky was grey. It had lost its colour.

It felt as the sun never rose. The birds were quiet and the train was slow.

I was missing you.

I was longing for your voice. Your smile that is so rare to see.

I hate it when you are quiet and close your eyes. It feels like I have failed. I had one job. It was to make you happy.

Making scenarios in my head. Lying to myself that everything is okay.

I hate hiding things from you. But I hate to worry you.

I can’t remember things. I feel like I am loosing control.

What is happening?

Claustrophobia

I stare at the ceiling comfortably on my bed. I am uncomfortable. My gaze drops towards the hardwood floor then the texture of the wall. The silence is echoing in my ear and my eyes are hungry for tears. My toungue moves impatiently trying to make more room in my mouth. My head buzzing with thoughts and I feel as though oxygen is leaking from my lungs with a rapid pace.

I am awake. I tell myself this is not a dream.

I cross the road without looking and make my ascent towards the concrete hill.

Fast forward to me walking on an endless bridge with no water in me. I am surrounded by the harbour beaming straight at me. Insulting me with its beauty.

My feet bounce along the desk. Making sure to step over the nails in the wood. I like the way they massage my feet. I feel slapped by the aggressive wind but I like the way they blow away my tears.

I sniffle and breathe. I can do this. No I cant.
