Hey, no worries!

Pan is the Greek god of shepherds, hunters, forests, meadows, and mountain wilds! He is also known for his role to cause panic when out in the wilderness by hollering a terrifying call (I personally believe it only happens as a warning that you're in danger). In some versions of myth, he is actually a son of Hermes! He's often depicted around other satyrs and nymphs as well as in the company of Dionysus. Here is a helpful article that briefly explains who he is!

3. their favorite mythical/fantasy animal/figure: as a fan of greek mythology, isaac loved learning about satyrs/fauns through the myth of pan, the god of the wild. you could imagine how excited he got when he heard that there were actual breathing fauns in narnia

4. salty or sweet snacks? which kind do they like best?: isaac actually has a bit of a sweet tooth; he can’t resist anything that is chocolate flavored (even better if it’s dark chocolate flavored)

5. what they like to do during the winter time: he’s one of those people who prefers to be curled in front of a fire, under a blanket, reading a classic while drinking a cup of mint tea. on the occasions that allison and skye can actually get his butt outside, then he loves making a snowman if there’s good snow (he always names it frosty because frosty the snowman is his favorite christmas movie)

7. do they drink? if so, what’s their favorite drink?: oh my god, isaac has a weakness for fruity cocktail drinks and whenever he has one, he turns into winston from new girl where he gets really weird and hilarious

8. one moment they recoil thinking about: one day, he was so deep in the middle of reading jane eyre while walking to his english class that he didn’t noticed a beam in front of him. he smacked face first into it, and luckily no one saw it. but, his nose was broken and his pride was so bruised that he cringes anytime it’s brought up

9. if they believe in lucky objects: isaac isn’t really a big proponent of luck (he’s rooted in his ways)

10. their first-ever paying job: it was a bookstore that allison took him and skye to all the time when they were younger; it was isaac’s favorite place in the world, and the owner got to know him so well that he offered him a job once he was old enough

Me(anti): Hermes, I was originally gonna go with Aphrodite cus yk lust demon and sex goddess, but from what I've seen, she's more romance as a whole rather than just sexual stuff(tho correct me if I'm wrong). Hermes is the God of money and thieves, and from what I've seen, he's a bit of a prick(just like me, lmao)

Yancy: Dionysus, God of theatre need I say more? Also, he's a really popular and social God, and yanc is literally our social protector, so it fits!

Darky: either Hades or Ares. Hades because a generally pessimistic guy with a massive dog as a pet, and Ares because Darky is literally the demon of wrath and fighting and shit. Although I've never actually seen him fist fight someone

Ray: Pan, probably. This one was honestly tricky, but pan was the closest I could get to Ray and the shit he likes.

Marvin: Hecate, goddess of magic. They're both also strangely good at finding missing things. Although the pack of dogs would scare Marvin a lot lmao

Illinois: Not a God, so to say, but something like a Satyr fits illy. A nature spirit and also commonly seen as companions to Dionysus(simp). Also, I just find their descriptions on wiki really fucking funny

Marsyas devotional post

So I’ve mentioned before that Marsyas is my Patron and I haven’t seen much about him on this platform so I wanted to share a bit about him!

He is a satyr from Greek mythology and I haven’t been able to find much about him besides one myth where he challenged Apollo to see who could play better music. There’s different versions of the myth, some say that Apollo won and some say that Marsyas did. In some of what I read Marsyas is depicted as egotistical and foolish to think he could challenge a god, but that is not at all what he is like to me. Maybe hundreds of years ago he was, we all change and make mistakes.

Marsyas is kind and loving, he takes care of animals and loves anything to do with nature. He likes offerings of anything that comes from the ground, fruits, veggies, flowers. He is elegant and enjoys dramatic entrances at times, but can also be serious and does not place himself above others. He is where I get my gentleness, my love of nature, my desire to show every animal I see love (yes, even the wild ones I’m not allowed to touch. They still need kisses). He respects and maintains the balance of nature, the push and pull, the happy and the sad. He sent me some of his other children as pets long before I knew who he was.

He plays flute, any type of flute he has played them and loves them all. I’m learning flute as a devotional act to him and he loves me even when I mess up, whether it be a wrong note or a bad decision. He is a kind and comforting father figure and I wouldn’t trade him for anything. I love you Marsyas.
