the amount of (mostly anxious and self destructive lol) energy i had last year and early this year and literally idk, the past 6 years was so ??? now i hear a phone notification 3x in a row and i want to smash it lol - not sure if this is good chill or "when i get a job for the first time since 2021 i will not be able to handle anything at all" chill

#had to be unemployed for a while to stay sane and figure my mental health and life out #but i think i defo need to start working again #scary ass thought #i just want a job i go to in the morning and leave behind when i go home #with normal fucking weekends #and a normal commute that isnt an hour away by car #and doesnt involve customer service #pls thx #text

my dad went to the library to get some books (his goal is to read more this new year) and he brought me back a lil announcement abt a 'bring your own craft' kinda event that happens every Friday from 10 to 12

on the one hand: possibly a cool way to make crafting friends, get out of the house, go to the library more often

on the other hand: the odds of me being conscious before 12pm most of the time is Extremely Low

Kinji had the right reaction to Yuji in this scene.

First off, the distance between them is far. Second, Yuji was taking punch after punch and you would think that would slow him. It doesn't. Kinji turns around for like, what, a couple of seconds and then Yuji is right behind him, practically breathing down his neck like some horror movie monster and by Kinji's surprise, I doubt he even heard him move.

I would be having nightmares of that moment.

i have an idea for a character design but what animals are usually associated with medicine??? the most common answer i got was snake, but i also thought of lab rats/mice, rabbits etc

#snake has the longest history with medicine especially since its shown on the rod of asclepius and the myths around venom #i also didnt know this but their shedding skin is referenced as symbols of rebirth and growth while their appearance resembles an #umbilical cord which gives it a really strong connection to health in some cultures.. although if i had to think abt modern medicine and #pharmacies the first thing i think of is white lab mice like pinky and the brain. for some reason i also thought of rabbits #bc of how its used for anti animal testing logos but thats more loose. however i did learn that the jade rabbit is shown to #use a pestle and mortar to create medicine in some stories so that could work...???? but its not as well known i think #i also thought of possums but that was more of an irony thing. same for bats but both are ironically really resistant to disease and act #as carriers. a death symbol like vultures or ravens/crows might work with a plague doctors mask but i feel #like that isnt the vibe im going for. black cat would be interesting considering superstition but im also on the fence abt that #actually what else is associated with medicine?? normally its stuff like pills crosses bandaids syringes etc #doctors coats and gloves.. especially plague doctor masks or medical masks in general but not much else huh #hand sanitizer and tissues.. pill bottles... blue nurse uniforms.. gauze and casts with signed names... hmmmm/.........#nurse dresses..??? sure?? i also see scalpels and knives but thats more for like. horror doctors for scary stories #im going for cute maybe even regular ass doctor vibe. like harvey sdv. or tony tony chopper #yapping

Sudden thought, I wonder if Erik is actually not aware of Charles’ limitations. Erik meets Charles as the latter jumps into the ocean to save him. Charles is calm all through out. Seemingly not afraid to sacrifice OR knows he will not need to sacrifice anything to meet Erik down below.

Charles tells Erik he knows everything about him. To some extent maybe, but not really. Charles gets the gist of people around him. Goes in enough to know who’s a threat, who can be trusted, but he asks Erik’s permission in finding that sweet memory of Erik and his mom. Charles didn’t know about it beforehand.

Erik didn’t even think Charles would feel Shaw’s death, nor the people on the boats. He assumes Charles has the option to not feel it, presumably. Or doesn’t know how bad it could be.

Erik leaves Charles on the beach before Charles learns he can’t feel his legs, he doesn’t see Charles’ breakdown and Charles keeps himself together admirably beforehand. Reigning in what must be extreme amounts of pain.

When Erik sees Charles again, Erik presumes that Charles could and would use his powers on Erik, stop him whenever he wants, because they’re enemies now. When he realizes Charles can’t do that, it is still unfathomable to him. And on the plane it all suddenly makes sense. Charles valued his ability to walk more than his powers, Charles chose to remove his powers. Charles abandoned them all to pretend at being normal.

Not for a second does Erik believe Charles is anything but all put together, all knowing. Presumably naive, Erik knows better how cruel the world is. Has experienced real hardship while Charles, as much as Erik loves him, lived a pampered one. It makes sense to Erik that Charles would pick being human.

Not once does Erik think Charles may have been abused by a step father and a step brother. Suffered an alcoholic mother who possibly drank herself to death long before 1962. Charles simply doesn’t say anything and quite honestly prefers to move on from them, because they don’t matter. Raven and Erik matter tho. His little team of mutants mattered, and every single one he’s met at first year of school and through cerebro matter.

Charles is strong enough to help the mutants in need, guide them, and if he were just willing to see Erik’s point of view, fight the good fight against the humans. Because Charles doesn’t make mistakes, Charles doesn’t have failures, but he fails the rest of them.

Charles, unfortunately, isn’t seen as a fallible person to even Erik. More akin to a god, that Erik needs to protect his mind from, because otherwise, his god will exact judgment and punishment. Take his free will away from him because Erik has disobeyed him. To Erik, while Charles and him are equals, both god figures in their own right, with his helmet he levels out a playing field Charles doesn’t even see.

Of course, this is not unlike everyone else in Charles’ life, though where Erik sees a godly figure, everyone else sees Charles as a parent figure, placing him on a similar high pedestal. Seemingly everyone will tend to ignore Charles’ possible emotional instability or fallibility, the way a child might expect their parent to be all knowing. Charles’ wrongs become grander because surely he knows better. So why did Charles’ let this, whatever this is, happen?

Sorry I have FNAF thoughts I must share.

The thing about William, specifically in the fnaf movie but also kinda in the games, is that he's... Just some guy? Like.... yeah he possesses springtrap at some point, but before that... William Afton is second to his creations.

The animatronics are the ones we see killing the intruders, they're the threat Mike has to navigate. William only comes in at the end to interfere when they're not able to kill Abby and Mike.

Even then he doesn't have powers like the kids do. He can't lock doors, make you see visions of a child to follow, he's secondary to the things he has created.

(ye I know this is probably gonna change but like I'm focusing on the first movie)

And isn't it fitting that his ego is what gets him killed? He tries too hard to make the animatronics seem small, like he is the monster behind it all. But really.... He's just some guy and he dies all the same. He thought too highly of himself, thought what happened to the kids could never happen to him.

William Afton isn't as special as he thinks he is. Because he's just some guy.
