The #Kalshodar are, to some, a little outdated, the #Epibatoi are the next generation. State-of-the-art Impact Armour, compact C-LAR pistol, and the Argus ship-defense combat shotgun...

Impact Armour is the best protection an unmodified human can find. Everything needed to make #ReflexArmour work means its too heavy for anyone but a #Kalshodar to wear. Epibatoi Impact Armour gives its wearer many of the benefits without the near-invulnerability.

The Manticorax C-LAR (Compact Linear-Accelleration Railless) pistol is what you get when you leave a couple of Dwarves and goblins in a room with Kalshodar weaponry and tell them they can't come out until humans can use them. Apparently Gwydion actually did this though we're sure people are just speaking figuratively...

The Argus SBD-SG was designed specifically for defending spacecraft from boarders. It is vicious and nasty weapon for the vicious and nasty business of repelling said boarders quickly. Its triple barrels fire a cloud of explosive metal discs or eyelets designed to fragment and fill are air in front of the boarders with red-hot razors. Anyone unfamiliar with the weapon is usually turned into mince before obtaining this vital knowledge. Those that survive often wet themselves at anything that sounds even vaguely like a shotgun slide.

The #Kalshodar Body-Glove is a very sophisticated piece of equipment though it might not look like it.

What looks like a protective garment is that and much more;. A complex sandwich of specialist fabrics and composite materials, this suit, which is worn under #ReflexArmour, filters and reclaims water, minerals, and nutrients from sweat and waste materials. These can be reabsorbed or used to heat or cool the wearer as needed.

The biomechanical spinal interface unit connects the user's neural system directly to a network of carbon nano-tubules embedded into the suit. What is effectively a secondary musculoskeletal system. The artificial muscular system, together with the toughened psyber-mimetic spine, increases the wearer's strength and endurance considerably.

Shunt sockets on the suit Aso interface directly with the systems of the armour of the user, muscles controlling servo-actuators and relays, turning Reflex Armour into a second skin, part of the wearer's body.

On ship and off duty, as soon as the Kalshodar have removed their armour, they'll often keep the body-glove on because, despite appearances, it is quite a lightweight and comfortable garment.
