How getting into Scott x Rogue all started:

I have X-Men: Evolution to thank for having me pine after a ship for so many years long before I even understood the concept of shipping and OTPs, and even before learning that Scott x Rogue TOTALLY ALMOST WERE A THING ACCORDING TO THE CREATORS!!! *inhale* so yeah. I’m totally normal about these two 😆

Before learning about the whole X-Men lore, I had no understanding of what was “canon” and what wasn’t to the franchise as a whole. All I knew was that every time Scott and Rogue appeared in scenes together, I felt a chemistry and bond between them like I rarely felt before watching two characters from the same show.

For further context, I was the type of kid who preferred coming up with an oc of my own to ship with a show’s character rather than acknowledge their canon love interest or another existing character (this wasn’t even out of spite! I guess I just genuinely wasn’t interested in the romance related to a fave unless I was pairing him with an idealized version of what was pretty much a self-insert oc.).

In the case of Scott x Rogue from X-Men: Evo, I am not 100% certain I felt no need to imagine an OC for Scott because I semi-related to Rogue’s character since I loved the color green at the time. However, I was mostly in awe of their chemistry and dynamic.

Hi!

So, I decided to do a little something-something to motivate myself to create art and/or write. Part of this something-something also happens to involve my favorite X-Men: Evolution ship of all time 😚.
