Yandere villain x snarky civilian reader who doesn’t mind dying -pt.1
Tw: yanderish behaviour, swearing, mention of suicide, insults that come from the Gen Z and Gen α, reader doesn’t have a self-preservation sense, reader as so much sass that they could be called Sassophones, stupid jokes, please don’t answer like this to any criminal, childish behaviour (not in the pedophilia meaning, in the “saying stupid shit when you don’t have an answer” meaning), my English is quite bad (sorry)
Part 2
Yandere villain was fighting against the hero when he saw you, bleeding on the ground while unconscious, after he used his powers against a skyscraper… And he found that you were the most good-looking person he’s ever seen in his whole life, not even the greatest diamond would compare to your beauty or your worth… He had to take you with him…
Yandere Villain escapes the fight with the hero and takes you away to use you as an hostage so that the hero doesn’t follow him to his base
When you get to his base he calls his underlings and cures you, bandaging your wounds and caressing you.
He puts you on a sofa, handcuffed with toy handcuffs to make sure you don’t punch him when you wake up and awaits for you to awake.
You open your eyes, look around and see the villain that terrorised the city and (indirectly) killed both of your parents and you just give up, because unless the hero is able to localise you, you are not gonna come out of here alive.
“You’re awake” you hear him say.
“Nope” you answer, even if you are going to die, you won’t go down without annoying the hell out of him.
“Yes you are” he says caressing your cheek
“Nuh-huh” you answer, closing you eyes.
“Stop lying sweety or I’m gonna kill you” he threatens
“Do it, prissy boy” you sassily say.
“What?~ Honey, you’re not gonna a like it if I kill you” he says trying to be threatening
“Yes I will”
“No, sweetheart, you won’t”
“And how do you know that?” You ask with a smirk of superiority.
“Because no one likes to die, you little omelette!” He exclaims.
“Well I do!” You yell.
“Lower that voice, please” he orders.
“Nope, LALALLALALALALLALALLALA” you shout even louder.
“Fuck you, sweetheart” he exclaims with a passive-aggressive smile.
“Stop calling me sweetheart!” You shout.
“Oh? Is this annoying to you, sweetheart?” He asks with a smile.
“Fuck you! You no rizz, skill issue guy with a parentless behaviour” you answer giving him a middle finger.
“Oh no, sweetheart, I’m sooooooo offended” he says sarcastically.
“Offended like your mother when she saw your ugly face after you were born?” You ask with even more sarcasm in your voice.
“Sweetheart, if I were you I wouldn’t insult like this someone that can kill me so easily, you might not like the consequences~” he answers with a sugary voice, smiling with his eyes closed.
“And didn’t I tell you that I don’t mind dying, you motherfucker?” You answer smiling back.
“There are other things I can do other than killing you, you know?” He says looking at you with some eyes that look like the ones of a lion that has just seen an injured prey.
“And what if I don’t care about that either?” You answer mustering up all your courage to not look frightened.
He put an hand on your neck and pulls you closer.
“Well, sweety, that’s better for me~” he whispers in you ear.
You back away and manage to kick him while handcuffed.
“Eeeeeeeeeewwww, that phrase was sooo cringe” you say to mask the fear that had overcome you in that moment “Never even try to talk to me ever again!!!”
“What swe-“ he starts
“Shut up” you say to interrupt him.
“Oh sweethe-“ he starts again.
“Shush”
“But I-“
“Nope. Not listening. LALALSLLALALALALALALALALLALALALLALALALALALALALLALALALALLALALALALALALALALALALALALALAL”
“You shu-“
“LALLALALALLALALALLALLALA, CAN’T HEAR YOU! LALALSLALLALAALALLALLALALAL”
and you two continued like that for three days straight without any pause.

Happy birthday!!!! I love your blog so much, this is my first time making it to the asks!
Dealer’s choice!!
He waits two weeks and five days, which is seventeen days longer than he thinks is necessary.
However, it’s how long it takes for the Cuban couple to be discharged. He’s not sure if this is the time to indulge in symmetry or ritual when it’s never done him much good before, but he supposes he’s trying something new.
Cuddy is still furious at him over firing Chase. Wilson isn’t much better, oscillating between pity and disappointment, which is just obnoxious. The new guitar is at least a decent distraction. The downside is he has to actually spend most of his days in the clinic to avoid taking another case, which he doesn’t want to do just yet.
Symmetry and ritual and all that.
The day after the couple is gone, he sleeps in then drives his bike in the opposite direction of the hospital.
He has to hit his cane on the door for over a minute before it flies open and Chase is standing there, hair sleep mussed and mouth pulled into a scowl. “What do you want, House?”
It’s too soon to smile, so he doesn’t. “Is Cameron here? I assume she is, otherwise I’ll have to come back later which would be a huge pain. Why do you live downtown? The traffic is awful.”
“If you’re looking for Cameron, go to her apartment,” Chase says, moving to shut the door in his face.
They grow up so fast.
He shoves his cane in the door because he’s not willing to risk his foot and Chase glares at it like he’s seriously considering trying to snap it with the door anyway. “I didn’t say I was looking for Cameron. I asked if she was here. How much have you been drinking? You can’t be losing braincells that quickly.”
Chase’s expression turns considering, which almost makes him smile again.
The door is flung wide open and Cameron is standing there, hair greasy and wearing one of Chase’s button ups over a pair of leggings and glaring at him like he’s something on the bottom of her shoe. “Go away, House. You’ve done enough.”
“Good,” he says. “Have you eaten yet?”
Cameron’s eyes narrow. Chase asks, “Why?”
“There’s a half decent restaurant about a mile from here. We could get breakfast,” he says, still refusing to smile, but now it’s out of self preservation. If they slam the door in his face, he can play it off as a joke. Or he can start stalking them.
Playing it off as a joke is the safe option. The socially acceptable one.
But he’d foregone the safe option when he’d fired Chase.
“I’m not coming back,” Cameron says firmly, lifting her chin in challenge.
“I don’t want you to come back,” he says. It’s true in the way she means, at least. “So, breakfast? It’s the most important meal of the day.”
“It’s noon,” she says coldly.
“Lunch, then,” he amends. “My treat, considering you’re both unemployed. A bit careless of you, to leave one job without having another lined up, but such are the mistakes of youth.”
Maybe other people can get things and people and relationship with honey rather than vinegar. His personal experience has leaned more towards catching each one by the wings and shoving it in the jar himself. His metaphorical jar has airholes, so he doesn’t get what everyone is always so upset about.
Cameron is still glaring but Chase has relaxed. Cameron may have wanted to understand him, had tried to study him and make sense of him, but Chase had always been better at it. A life of a shit father and being a huge kiss ass has given him selectively useful skills. Chase says, “Brunch. I want pancakes.”
“Chase!” Cameron shouts at the same time as House says, “Cool.”
“I’ll drive,” he says, nudging Cameron out the door even as he leans further into the apartment to grab his keys. “You would have made a stronger argument if you’d brought the corvette instead of your bike.”
“Well,” he says, finally letting a smile tug across his face. Cameron stares. “I wouldn’t have wanted you to agree for the wrong reasons.”
~
Cameron thinks she has to be asleep. This can’t be real.
But they’re sitting in a booth in an old school diner that still smells faintly of cigarette smoke, which gives her some indication of how long it’s been in business, and House is stretched out in the opposite seat, leaning his back against the wall and with his legs crossed in front of him.
“Aren’t you going to look at the menu?” she asks as Chase flips through the multiple pages, House looks at the ceiling, and she looks at him.
“Nope,” he answers.
“Are you going to tell us what we’re doing here?” she presses.
He turns to look at her, eyebrow raised. “We’re getting brunch.”
There’s nothing heavy at the table, but she could probably do some damage with the fork. It’s not like he can run very far.
The waitress comes back, settling coffees in front of all of them. Chase orders chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, and eggs. House gets the steak omelet, which the sign they’d passed on the way in had proclaimed was this week’s special. She still hasn’t looked at the menu so she says, “You order for me.”
House rolls his eyes. “The little lady will have one slice of the stuffed French toast, scrambled egg whites, and the fruit cup. No grapes.”
She wouldn’t have ordered the stuffed French toast for herself, but she does want it. She’s not sure what she’s supposed to read into that.
The waitress says, “Aw, introducing the new boyfriend to your father? That’s so sweet.”
Chase freezes while Cameron feels her mouth drop open and she tries to say something but finds she can only get out a strangled, “Ah.”
“Kids sure do grow up fast,” House says, his disconcertingly normal smile of before having stretched into a much more familiar smarmy grin. He at least waits for the waitress to leave before asking, “Tell me, Cameron, have you ever gotten urge to call me daddy?”
“Oh my god,” she breathes, “why would she-”
“You both look like children outside of suits and lab coats,” he says. “Or maybe I just look especially old today. Or maybe she clocked our ages perfectly and just thought I had you young.”
“Please stop talking,” she says. The French toast suddenly doesn’t sound so appetizing.
He shrugs, stirring sugar into his coffee before lifting the mug up to take a sip.
The red mug. That she’s definitely seen before.
“Is that – your mugs in the office,” she says.
“I steal one every time I’m here. Don’t worry, I tip well.” He taps his fingers along the side. “If you want to be helpful, steal yours for me too. Wilson always refuses because he’s a wimp. He got caught once and she didn’t even care.”
This has to be a dream. House has brought them to a place that he goes frequently, with Wilson, and has revealed a personal detail about himself. It may just be where he gets his favorite mugs for the office but it’s more than he’s ever offered up willingly before.
“What do you want?” she asks.
He takes another long sip of his coffee, once again staring straight ahead. She thinks the real reason he’s stretched out like that isn’t because of his leg or comfort but so his default position is looking away from them. “There’s an open position in surgery under Thomas. He’s an insufferable ass, but luckily you have experience in that area.”
She’d asked the question but he’s obviously talking to Chase. He swallows and she can feel him tense along her side. She hates this. “You want me to apply?”
“There’s a senior research position in immunology at St. Sebastian’s. They’re doing a lot of cool stuff,” he continues, not answering Chase but now speaking to her. “I’d go for that one. However, Williams is looking to retire, which means his position is open. It sounds like an utter bore to me, but you’d probably like it.”
“Williams, the emergency room department head?” she demands incredulously.
“Keep in mind I’m only bringing it up because I’d prefer you both stay at Princeton. It’s a shit job,” he answers. “The research one is way better.”
“You want me to apply for the surgeon position?” Chase repeats.
“Don’t be stupid,” House says and Chase’s grinds his teeth together. “I want you to accept the surgeon position. Thomas will offer it to you outright in about,” he checks his watch, “eight days.”
Cameron has never found House to make sense, but this is taking it to a new level. “If you’re feeling guilty about firing Chase–”
“I’m not feeling guilty,” he interrupts. “When have you ever known me to feel guilty for doing the right thing?”
“Doing the right thing makes you miserable,” she retorts.
He smiles again, small enough that she thinks it might be genuine. “Only sometimes. This will probably make me miserable too, though. I hate hiring people. They’re all so stupid. A benefit to you two sticking around the hospital is that I can go and bug you when your replacements’ idiocy threatens to kill someone.”
“Or your stubbornness,” she says.
“Tomayto, tomahto,” he replies. “There are also a couple open positions in Chicago that you’d like, but that makes me intention to leech off you significantly harder.”
Chase sits up a little straighter. “Why would you tell us about jobs that you don’t want us to take?”
“You’re not my employees anymore. I can’t make you do the smart thing. You’re free to be idiots, if that’s what you want,” he says.
Cameron doesn’t want to press on this particular bruise, but she’s missing something. “Why did you fire Chase?”
She’d asked that before but this time she thinks she might get a real answer out of him.
“So you’d make a choice,” he says, then nods to Chase, “You’re welcome.”
Chase blinks several times. “What?”
He groans, “Are you going to make me spell it out?” Neither of them say anything and he sighs. “Chase loves me too much to ever leave me so of course I had to fire him. Plus it pushed you to make a choice – me or him. If you’d never had to pick, even if you started dating Chase, he’d always feel like your second choice. Because he would be. But now he knows he’s your first. So, again, you’re welcome.”
She’s actually speechless so she’s relieved when Chase asks, “Why would you care about that? Why do you care at all? Even if you do care, why do this? You hate change.”
“True,” he acknowledges. “Which is why I didn’t do anything when your contracts ran out. But Foreman quit. Change was happening whether I liked it or not so there’s no reason to prolong the process. Better to get all the change out at once so I can get back to a life of no changes.”
“Why isn’t Foreman here?” Cameron challenges. “Why did you come get us and not him?”
That makes him go silent again, but she and Chase have years of experience waiting him out. He’s still looking at them, but he’s not seeing them, his eyes going unfocused like he’s thinking through a case. “Wood ducks, unlike the majority of their genus, make nests in trees.”
She’d always been convinced that one day House’s stupid metaphors would make sense to her. Mostly they just give her a headache.
“They also have a habit of flinging themselves out of the nest with very little concern for the consequences of those actions. That’s because the mother duck builds the nest high enough to keep it from predators but low enough that they’ll be unharmed by the impact of the nice cushy ground, so this propensity for leaping first and looking never wasn’t bred out of them by evolution. Of course, humans mess that up, and now lots of places have hard concrete instead of soft ground. So now the duck’s ability to survive is based on their ability to fly.”
“So you’re seeing if we can fly?” Chase asks tentatively.
House sighs, taking another sip of his coffee and giving them a faux disappointed look that she’s surprised doesn’t prick her as much as it used to. “You landed on soft ground. It doesn’t matter if you can fly or not.”
“Concrete is accidentally killing a patient who wouldn’t have died otherwise,” she says, sitting up straight. “You kicked us out of the nest because we’d be fine. But you think Foreman is heading for concrete and you don’t know if he’s going to be able to fly or not.”
“Less killing the patient, more the lack of self confidence and self awareness,” he says, “but yeah, close enough.”
“What if he falls?” Chase asks.
House shrugs. “Then, if he lives, back into the nest he goes.”
“And if he flies?” she challenges.
He takes another sip of coffee, but it doesn’t quite hide the smile on his face. “Then we invite him to brunch.”
~
“Are you going to take it?” Cameron asks, resting on top of his chest and digging her chin into his sternum.
It’s not the most comfortable position on his end, but he’s not going to tell her that. “I haven’t been offered it yet.”
She gives him a look and he sighs, which only serves to shove her chin even further into him.
He’s going to take it.
It’s a good job, a great job even, and he’ll be able to really develop his skills as a surgeon. But he’s self aware enough to know that biggest draw is that House wants him to take it. That House didn’t just get sick of him and decide that he was worthless and fine to throw away.
He was trying to help, in the worst, most assholish way possible.
“Do you think we can actually be friends?” he asks instead of answering.
Cameron frowns. “He did pay for brunch.”
“He also told you that you were getting the next one since you’d quit instead of being fired,” he reminds her.
Her frown deepens. “He’s friends with Wilson.”
“I don’t think I can handle being Wilson,” he says honestly. He likes House. He really likes the idea of being friends with House. But the only friend House has is sort of insane and has to put up with even more crap than they did as his employees – and he isn’t even getting paid for it.
But it’s different, too. Wilson still gets called an idiot if he’s being an idiot and House will be insane and annoying and all of that, but he can be nice too, when it’s Wilson. He makes an effort for Wilson.
Sort of like he’d made an effort with them, today.
“So we won’t be Wilson,” she says. “We’ll be Chase and Cameron and he’ll be House and maybe that can be something different than it was before.”
Maybe.

One of my favorite undercurrent themes from The Hunger Games is how Katniss and Peeta use the power of intuition and self-trust to win, and eventually overthrow an entire tyrannical government.
I’ve always felt that the Hunger Games movies were pretty decent in regards to being a faithful book adaptation. I mean, we’ve seen a lot worse (hello, Ender’s Game), and it felt like the central idea of the story was at least preserved. The characters felt true to themselves most of the time, and important relationships were mostly kept. Plus we got extra Effie, so.
But the thing I miss the most from the books is the first person point of view, especially the inner dialogue Katniss had during the first games, and how much she had to really trust her own intuition to survive.
In the movie, when supplies were delivered from Haymitch, a note with context is included so that we don’t have to guess what the items are for, and because there was no way to really portray that on screen since the POV was changed to an omniscient and silent narrator. When she receives the jar of medicine from Haymitch, there’s a little note that reads “You call that a kiss!” So that Katniss will understand that she needs to amp up the romance between her and Peeta so that sponsors will send more supplies.
But in the books, Katniss has to just use her intuition to understand and make connections between her behavior and the appearance of sponsor drones. She doesn’t get any convenient little notes with explanations in the drones. But Katniss is a successful hunter because she has learned pattern recognition, and she is able to use this skill to anticipate and manipulate a situation in her favor. She is astute and calculating-because that’s what survival requires. She figures out what Haymitch is communicating to her by understanding who he is as a mentor and remembering his words before the games. Which is impressive considering that she is half starving and being hunted by the other tributes, along with caring for Peeta when he is injured.
And even though he figures out that Katniss used his kisses as leverage for sponsors, Peeta understands why she had to. Peeta sees Katniss for who she is, and loves her for it. In fact, before the Capitol gets to him, Peeta trusts Katniss implicitly. Not because he is just a simp for her, but because he has the ability to use his intuition and trusts his own judgment about her character. This is a power that few people have, and it balances them out equally.
Both agree to eat the berries without hesitation. Katniss can trust Peeta because she first learned to trust herself. Peeta can trust Katniss because he first learned to trust himself.
This is how they survived.

How to Beat Itemless Boss Rush in OMORI
a complete guide because something’s wrong with me
what I had equipped:
OMORI:
weapon: red knife • charm: cough mask • skills: vertigo, cripple, red hands, suffocate
AUBREY:
weapon: baseball bat • charm: pretty bow • skills: beatdown, wind-up throw, power hit, counter
KEL:
weapon: basketball • charm: headband • skills: megaphone (didn’t use outside of sir maximus i-iii), tickle, run ‘n gun, juice me (completely needed)
HERO:
weapon: ol’ reliable • charm: chef’s hat • skills: cook, tenderize, snack time, homemade jam
PREREQUISITES: I’d recommend finishing regular boss rush at least once. if you’re on switch this can be rough cuz you need to clear it with basil after your first clear. I can make a guide abt that upon request
PRIORITIES:
kel’s juice. Keep this to at least 100 at ALL TIMES if possible. If it goes too low, below 10, you’re doomed
hero’s HP. If he dies, you can’t heal at all until the next boss.
omori’s HP. this seems obvious but try to keep it at 2+, preserve your “omori did not succumb” in the fights like sweetheart, slime girls, humphrey, and jawsum.
1) ye old sprout
the first fight is ye old sprout. this can be completed in one turn, via:
omori: red hands
aubrey: beatdown
kel: tickle
hero: tenderize
If this doesn’t work, which it SHOULD, just use run ‘n gun to get through the rest.
2) download window
this should only take 2-3 turns :3
1) same routine as step 1. Repeat till it’s gone. The thing about itemless is GETTING THROUGH the boss, not prepping for next round.
3) capt spaceboy
The length of this fight depends. I suggest starting out with the previous routines of red hands, beatdown, tickle, and tenderize until omori’s juice is down to <175. if anyone’s HP drops to 3/4, wait till at least 1-2 others are hurt to use snack time
4) king crawler
initially, focus on getting a lot of hits in if you have good juice/heart. if you don’t, try to heal as much as you can. a good strategy for if you’re trying to make sure hero and kel don’t die yet because everyone’s low on juice is to have aubrey use counter. if you can, make hero cook for aubrey when she’s at half health or so.
target king crawler only!!! sprout moles don’t matter, 600 health added to it is nothing. don’t even worry
5) sir Maximus I/II/III
this fight is surprisingly easy. For this, you wanna focus emotions!!!! Make everyone on your team angry via megaphone, let the enemies wallow cuz they make themselves sad. if you get everyone on max emotions on both sides, you do significant damage and they can barely do any. take advantage of omori’s attacks that damage everyone, lowering stats is always very helpful.
try to maintain emotions as much as you can, while making sure kel doesn’t run out of juice and neither does hero. heal as needed, this fight is self explanatory for the most part.
6) life jam guy
A magical blessing of free time to heal. take the life jam, but you can’t use it because you’re on itemless. Again, heal as needed. nothing to say here
7) sweetheart
for many, this may be who wipes you out. but trust me, as long as you upkeep everything, you’re fine. FOCUS. ON. LOWERING. HER. STATS. Please. itll save you, especially since the only moves we have for emotion are for making you angry, which we DONT want. lower her speed, attack, and defense.
this marks the start of where you hafta be conscious of everyone’s stats/health/juice. pay close attention!!! Again, use Aubrey to take the punches via counter.
8) jawsum
70% chance of surviving this, tbh. I won’t lie, this is genuinely difficult. Kinda complicated, so LISTEN CLOSELY!!
1) omori use any attack, Aubrey use wind up throw, kel use tickle, hero use tenderize
2) hopefully, there’s one gator guy left. if not, repeat and heal as needed.
3) when there’s ONE gator left, do: red hands, beatdown, tickle, and tenderize. our goal here is to eliminate the gator guy, as he’s a shield for jawsum. jawsum is our target. So, we want to be able to eliminate the gator guy before our last ATTACKER— likely being hero with tenderize.
4) do step 3 repeatedly, healing as needed, hopefully it works out!!
9) pluto
Pluto is shockingly easy, don’t even worry
1) omori should use all his defense reducing stuff. make Aubrey use power hit, as it also lowers defense. run n’ gun with kel. tenderize with hero.
2) honestly just yeah worry about lowering stats and getting hits in. sometimes Pluto hits kinda strongly, but he shouldn’t if you lower his stats.
3) HEAL. HEAL PLEASE. HEALTH AND JUICE. DO IT. PLEASE. HEAL. MAINTAIN BOTH HEALTH AND JUICE TO AT LEAST 200 IF YOU CAN. this is in preparation for the next fight, one of the few times we NEED to worry about what’s next.
4) that should work— relatively easy afaik :3
10) slime girls
brace yourself— this is by far the most difficult. you may make it out, but don’t feel bad if you can’t!!
1) vertigo, beatdown, tickle, tenderize
2) Vertigo again, do it until you can’t lower attack more. But in the meantime, maintain juice with kel (JUICE IS A PRIORITY DUE TO THE MOVE WHERE THE SLIME GIRLS SWITCH HEALTH AND JUICE). Aubrey can do whatever, tbh, just do beatdown. Hero should prioritize healing.
3) HEAL AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE WHEN THEY START TO THROW EVERYTHING THEY CAN!!!! The next fight is easy, as long as omori lives by the end of the round, it’s good enough.
4) Pray
11) Humphrey
Humphrey isn’t too bad, surprisingly. use stat reducing moves, then big hits with tickle as well (meaning: do red hands, tickle, beatdown, then tenderize). There’s a good chance you’re low in health, which is understandable.
In humphreys stomach, do heavy hits, stat reducing moves, and every turn use snack time. kel can do whatever, as long as he maintains everyone’s juice. Listen, if you managed to successfully lower their defense and attack, they should do very very little damage to your team— I’m talking like… 0-20 damage each.
please tell me if this works for you, and ask me literally anything. if this ends up not working, PLEASE let me know where you died!!!!! thx for reading, I was supposed to write this a couple months ago

hunger games/tbosas agere headcanons?
THE HUNGER GAMES AGERE HEADCANONS PART I
A/N: Omg yes. I’m gonna turn this into like. A mini series like my PJO headcanons I think. I’m gonna start off with TBOSAS.
Characters: Coriolanus Snow, Sejanus Plinth, Lucy Gray Baird.
Tumblr media
Coriolanus Snow:
He is a caregiver. I don’t think he would ever allow himself to be emotionally vulnerable enough to age regress. And also he just. Doesn’t want to. Doesn’t interest him.
He doesn’t care what age you regress to, he’ll take care of you and love you no matter what, and he’s the same amount of strict no matter what.
He likes being called “Coryo”, “Dada”, or “Daddy”. He thinks it’s really adorable and he likes hearing those names from you. Only you, though. He would punch literally anybody else so fast lol.
He is strict. Very. You have a set bedtime, set meal times, don’t talk back or else you’ll be put in time out, he’ll talk sternly to you, and you have to hold his hand whenever you go outside.
If this takes place after his peacekeeper arc, then he’ll SPOIL you. Mainly because that’s the main way he knows how to show affection. Buys literally anything and everything for you, age regression stuff or not.
Surprisingly, he plays with you whenever he has time. He likes doing puzzles with you and reading you books. He’ll put you in his lap while you do a puzzle and he’ll give you a little kiss on the cheek when you finish it.
He calls you pet names a lot. “Little girl/boy/one”, “baby”, “sweetheart”, and “darling”. He sweet talks you so much.
He’s not very good with temper tantrums or comforting you, but he tries his best. He tries to be gentle and patient with you, because he loves you, he really does.
Sejanus Plinth:
FLIP. The biggest flip I have ever seen. He wants to love you and take care of you but he also needs to be loved and taken care of sometimes.
When he’s a caregiver, he does well with younger regressors! Like 0-3. He loves taking care of baby/toddler regressors. He thinks they’re adorable. :)
When he’s regressed, he usually regresses pretty young himself, around 2-3. He babbles and toddles and it’s really cute! He also really likes pacifiers and stuffies.
He has a favorite stuffie. It’s a stuffed lamb named Gallus and he loves him very much.
When he’s a caregiver, he likes being called “Dada” or “Daddy”. He likes being seen as a parental figure and he loves that you trust him so much. It makes him feel so loved and appreciated.
When he’s regressed, he’ll love and cherish any nickname you give him, but one of his personal favorites is “baby boy”. He doesn’t know why, but it makes him all giggly and happy.
He isn’t a very strict caregiver, only has set bedtimes and meal times. He plays with you and rarely ever puts you in time out. He doesn’t like rules very much himself either when he’s regressed. Just make sure he gets into bed and eats on time.
He has loads of money, and he loves spending it on you, as a little or as a caregiver. He’ll buy you whatever you want or need, no questions asked. Especially stuffies. Both of you have an absurdly large collection of stuffies and it’s all his fault.
He plays. This boy PLAYS. Whether it’s letting you dress him up when you’re little or making you play pretend with him when he’s little, this guy loves playing with you. It’s a bonding activity to him and he sees it as special. He loves you so much and he wants to spend time with you.
He’s really good with comforting you and handling meltdowns or temper tantrums. He knows how to comfort you and he often tries to make you laugh to calm you down.
When he’s regressed, he’s extremely emotional. Biggest crybaby ever, but in a good way. He doesn’t know how to regulate his emotions and has shocking low self preservation skills. The only person he’ll allow to comfort him and make him feel better when he’s little and having a meltdown is you.
Lucy Gray Baird:
Little. Sorry not sorry. She’s the biggest regressor ever. Her age regression is voluntary and involuntary. Primarily involuntary after The Hunger Games. She’s so traumatized and desperately is trying to cope. :(
Her little age is usually slightly older, like 5, but if it’s a bad day it can be as little as 2.
She really likes playing with stuffed animals and coloring. She sings a lot too. Often times she’ll ask you to sing with her or at least listen to her sing. It’s really cute.
She gives you all of her drawings and the things she colors. You save it and put it in a drawer or something because it’s so cute.
She likes pet names a lot, mainly “Sweetheart”, “Darling”, and “Songbird”. They make her giggle and kick her feet lol.
She likes being spoiled. Please buy this girl new clothes, toys, pacis, etc. She’ll start crying, but in a good way. She loves it so much and it makes her feel so loved and appreciated.
Doesn’t really like it if you’re too strict, but you do need to set rules for her like bedtimes and meal times. And also you do have to make it a rule to hold your hand whenever you guys go outside, or else she will run off because she gets so excited and curious.
You also have to make it a rule to not go around touching random plants or putting unknown berries in her mouth lol.
She’s very emotional, like I said, she mainly regresses because of trauma. She’ll get really bad PTSD attacks, especially after nightmares, and she desperately just needs to be held and cared for. :(
She’s also very hyper, excited, and energetic! She gets happy and excited about things easily and she’s always quick to show you new things she’s found or things she’s made. She wants you to be happy and proud of her.
She’s such a sweet baby. 😭

Spoiler alert: No, he hasn’t.
Tumblr media
Now, he has.
And being his masochistic self, Tantai Jin accepts not only seconds but makes Xiwu his personal chef. Are we sure he doesn’t still want to off himself, this time through her cooking? Devil Baby, there are easier and less torturous ways to commit suicide other than starvation and slow food poisoning, but he’s always been a sucker for punishment, hasn’t he?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Perhaps his new diet is the problem.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Joking aside, he’s been guarded around her for so long and so much that his trust issues made him previously refuse the food she offered him because he knew about her aphrodisiac scheme. However, in a complete reversal, he literally demands to eat her food even though she warns him it might taste terrible. He stomachs it and asks her to continue cook for him because he doesn’t want to hurt her feelings! and because he desperately jumps at having the excuse to spend time with her without losing his pride. Lucky for him, his standards for for decent food are extremely low with swivel and rats being the highlights of his past diets but still Xiwu’s cooking skills make even him gag.
It shows that even though he questions her behaviour and loyalty, he trusts her not to physically hurt him or take advantage of him and for a person like him who’s been continuously abused and betrayed his whole, that’s immense.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, he’s got a death wish, alright,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But not a cook, unfortunately for you and your stomach.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Poor man, he clearly expected more time to prepare himself and his digestive tract.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
No, she already has his heart that’s why he allows her to abuse his stomach and taste buds because love has muddled his brain and self-preservation instinct.  Also, the fact that she wants to literally pierce said heart by nine spikes makes this seemingly cute and sweet scene into something profoundly dark and twisted.

Hi Lena! I hope your week has been pleasant thus far!
I’m not sure if this question has already been asked yet, but what kind of characters would the ROs be in a horror movie? Like, who’s the cynical character that doesn’t believe the monster is real, the cocky guy who is all like “yeah I can beat this idiot no problem”, the “survivor” character that shows up later in the movie to help the main cast, etc.
Sorry if this question doesn’t really make any sense, feel free to ignore this is you want! 😅
Hi there, I sort of answered this question in various different ways--I'd recommend checking out the Halloween horror masterpost, which has a few different horror AUs!--but I didn't really specify what "tropes" the characters might fall into, so here goes!
Blade: I'd think he's the leader character who tries to give everyone the best chances of survival by directing them to defend themselves and makes you feel safe with his presence (you know, like the older brother who was in the military or the super strong athlete boyfriend or the hyper-competent neighbor with a mysterious set of skills or what have you), but then he has to leave the group because he stands the best chance of getting help (thus removing the comfort of his presence and rocketing up the anxiety of the film); he probably gets "killed" by the killer in a jumpscare and is knocked out and left for dead for most of the movie, then shows up all bloodied to stab the killer in the back at the last minute when the audience thought he was dead! So he survives, but he's pretty heavily injured and the rest of the group has to help him make it out
Trouble: he's full of confident bravado, like "you know what? *grabs kitchen knife* fuck this guy, I can take him! he can't get all of us!!" *immediately gets killed* or *power goes out* *in an effort to reassure the group* "don't worry guys, I'll go out there by myself to check the circuit box, nothing could go wrong!" Or he's the guy who "sacrifices" himself so the rest of the group can get away, potentially with the surprise ending of coming back with the police to arrest the killer and finding him alive after all! So he has a very low chance of survival, but he might live depending on how things shake out!
Tallys: she has final girl energy for sure, she's the one hearing Trouble offering to go outside in the storm alone and is savvy enough to be like "mm-mm. nope. we're not doing that. not today!" She's the one who doesn't seem like she's doing much throughout the movie as all the people are getting picked off, but then you see her doing really clever things like rigging booby traps or hiding under a bed so she can stab the killer in a foot or something crazy like that. Her self-preservation instincts and cunning definitely means she's going to make it through to the end: whether she's the lone survivor or if her skills guided the group to safety after Blade and Trouble got taken out just depends on what type of movie we're watching, lol!
Shery: sadly, she has helpless victim energy where she's so terrified and unskilled that someone (like Trouble) might first die defending her, making the audience frustrated, and then she might end up dying as well! Or she might end up just hiding away somewhere, not able to contribute but not dying, either! ...But yeah, she has sweet, innocent, sacrificial lamb energy, so she might die just to show the audience how wicked the villain truly is 😭
Riel: he's the skeptic of the group, he's the one who refuses to believe that anything supernatural is going on, he's the logician who flatly says, "this can't be happening. there has to be some other explanation." I feel like those types of people generally die in horror movies, so he's probably dead, but if we're not going by horror movie rules, he's probably smart enough to outwit the killer/supernatural threat if he can break through his own disbelief and actually start scheming against it! If it's like a monster or something like that, he stands a good chance, but if it's a demon or a ghost, he's probably dead 😵
Chase: he's the comic relief, he's the one keeping the morale group high, he's the clown who seems largely unfazed by what's happening but is skilled and capable enough to help defend the group. I feel like those types stand a solid 50/50 chance in most horror movies, where if they're minor characters, they'll definitely die, but if they're major members of the cast, they end up being one of the heroes of the story because the audience is fond of and rooting for them. Given Chase's uncanny ability to survive most things life throws at him, however improbable, I think he's one of the last ones standing, kind of like in Cabin in the Woods!
Red: he's the source of information, the smart one who's providing everyone with the backstory/information/mythology of the killer/threat. The guy who's been researching local anthropology in the area and just happens to have extensive knowledge of "that one serial killer in the 80s who [insert backstory] here." He might lack the common sense or hard survival instincts of a Tallys or a Blade, but he stands a good chance of surviving so long as no one sends him off by himself! If he's caught out alone, he's 100% a goner 😔
Ayla: she has like "batshit final girl" energy, the member of the group who seems sullen and withdrawn at a party and strangers are like, "what's her deal?" and there's some backstory or implied allusion to her dark past where she survived being kidnapped by Jigsaw or her parents were killed by a serial killer or something like that, and you think it's all speculation until someone starts killing people off and she's already in the corner sticking nails in a bat or busting out the chainsaw saying grimly, "Not like this. Not again." She stands a very good chance of survival so long as her trauma doesn't make her act reckless and the killer doesn't outsmart her by digging a booby trap or something!
Briony: I feel like she either has badass final girl energy or the energy of someone who vastly underestimates her opponent, like I could see her taking charge after some of the others get taken out and is like, "Don't worry guys, I've taken tae kwon do for ten years!" and she just is like not really processing the level of depravity that is going on and just gets annihilated, or she's the one keeping the group together and like plows the killer down with a car in the chaos or something like that. If Shery causes anyone to die to protect her, though, it's definitely going to be her BFF Briony 😭
Lavinet: this is not who Lavinet is in real life, but in a horror movie AU I could definitely see her being cast as the pretty, popular, spoiled rich girl who gets gruesomely murdered first lol... realistically in her "real life" persona I definitely think she'd be a final girl, almost to the point of prioritizing her own survival over someone else's, but in horror movie trope standards I think she'd be the one making out with some random jock in the car outside before the killer pops up in the backseat and then you cut to the characters walking outside and finding the car on, idling, with the windows covered in blood 😭
Halek: he is absent/sleeps through the majority of the spooky stuff (or, like, he's the guy you see at the beginning of the movie who can't go on the trip to the haunted cabin because he has to work or some bullshit and you sort of forget he's a part of the cast but then he shows up to save the day at the end because he felt like something was off when no one was answering his text messages)! He's sort of baffled when everyone piles into his car screaming bloody murder and can't relate to their ✨ trauma ✨ but at least he saved them!

I SAW THE MOVIE
I WAS INTRODUCED TO THE UTTER NONSENSE THAT IS MM /aff
I HAVE THOUGHTS
NOT, LIKE, ANALYSIS WHICH MAY COME LATER
JUST THOUGHTS
AND SPOILERS
So I’m studying the boys and at first I was just “They really are leaning into this whole teen thing, huh” but then I thought back to every memory I have of my brothers and how they interacted and was just like- OH
OH WAIT
THIS IS ACCURATE
🤣 The bacon and egg scene- literally my brothers in a nutshell. The constant quotes and references- a little on the nose, but accurate.
BUT I SPENT
THE ENTIRE MOVIE
Waiting to see which turtle would spike my patented they need some hurt/comfort and at first I was leaning towards Leo- BUT THEN WHEN THAT BUS/TRUCK (I forget exactly what it was) FLEW STRAIGHT AT DONNIE AND MIKEY’S WATCHING IN HORROR AND DONNIE IS STUMBLING AND HURT AND OBLIVIOUS AND LOOKS ONLY HALF PRESENT-
Hands down. That got me.
I has a favorite and he’s so innocent and bright-eyed and deserves injury and kidnapping. I will make this happen.
The boys as a family were so fluffy and vibrant and relatable.
The boys as individuals…?
Leo has personality and concerns and attachments and a crush and flaws and strengths and he just felt like an person.
The rest seemed kinda… Plain. Raph had the anger thing going for him, but I have a hard time distinguishing Mikey’s and Donnie’s personalities. Mikey was friendly and liked improve, but that was never really touched on at all. In battle or otherwise- Donnie was the one who was thinking fast and taking the lead when talking to the Superfly. And Donnie was the one who Leo described as the best with people.
I’m not exactly sure what Mikey had going for him…
Donnie isn’t much of a techie, other than his headphones and phone, which is only used casually. He can drive and read comics, but that’s not really an abnormal teen thing. Like, any of his brothers couldn’t have driven using game skills? Or come up with a comic/movie solution to defeat Superfly?
That’s more nitpicks than anything tho. I might have missed things as well- it’s only my first watch. You shouldn’t make any firm decisions or judgements based on a first meeting. Hopefully, I’ll spot differences between them later on or they’ll flush out the characters more in the series.
They pushed a LOT into this movie. Everything was happening all at once. Like, they didn’t skip a BEAT when shifting from evil mutants trying to kill the boys to TCRI is locking them up.
And what the heck did Leo expect April to do?? SHE WAS ON A HIGHWAY BRIDGE?? DID HE EXPECT HER TO JUMP DOWN- SHE’S COMMENTED ON HOW CRAZY THEIR ROOFTOP TRAVEL IS! What makes him think she can do that??? 🤣🤣
At the very least she had to bike around and off the bridge to do anything, and he would have been unconscious by then. Boi just like “she abandoned us 🥺” when she could have been trying to help them while they were being loaded before going to get Splinter.
All hypothetical, of course. Would make for a good OneShot tho.
I like how the April betrayal was just a “I guess I was wrong” type of disappointment and not some dramatic heartbreak, because that feels more realistic to me. Relieved the crush wasn’t played off for laughs and all the brothers seemed disappointed.
April was such a good teen. They never played her off as anything but a normal person who didn’t have quite the right amount of self-preservation. Probably where the journalism comes in.
She was also a good representation that you don’t need green skin to not fit in. Life is hard, man, and I hope the series explores that even tho people don’t scream when they see them, that doesn’t mean life will be any less difficult. School is still prey grounds and people are still predators .
OMGEE SUPERFLY THO
DUDE WAS SCARY. BUT THE WHOLE TIME. I WAS WATCHING.
I COULDN’T NOT LIKE HIM FOR BEING EVIL
Dude got his daddy KILLED after daddy talked about raising him and his siblings and being a loving family by a bunch of weapon-using scary humans that also tried to kill them WHILE HE WAS A BABY
TCRI CREATED A FORMATIVE MEMORY THAT WAS STRAIGHT TRAUMA! OF COURSE HE HATES HUMANS-
That poor fly 🥺😔
The parallel between Splinter and Superfly was interesting. Felt a tiny bit forced at the end there, but I can respect it. Can’t dictate a fam’s every choice. That’s not fair. Gotta let your fam be free to grow and make their own mistakes and create their own morals~
I have a couple other thoughts, but I want to formulate them a bit more. See if I can make stuff off of them.
One last thing before I go…
MY SOCIAL ANXIETY HEADCANON STILL STANDS
NOT ONCE IN THE WHOLE MOVIE WERE THEY SEPERATED UNTIL THE SCHOOL
And even then it’s in a controlled environment. They all know where the other is. It seems safe.
But what happens when that illusion is gone…?

AU Where Mommy Becomes a Reluctant Ally
Okay so I literally just thought of this and it definitely needs some tweaking.
- Poppy’s speech from the end of the chapter? Yeah, now that happens at the pit where she originally got snatched. Maybe it’s a variation of the debug version? I feel like beginning of ch.2 Poppy would be more up front than end of ch.2 Poppy.
- You and Poppy make it to the Game Station with little trouble. But upon reaching it you realize that you can’t leave for a few reasons.
1) The train code isn’t where Poppy said it would be.
2) Your grabpack doesn’t have the right hand (Pun unintended) to open the door.
3) There’s a giant Betty Spaghetty tangled in the train’s axles.
- Mommy notices you two and immediately reaches for you both, but you grab Poppy and move back before she can be grabbed. You ask what happens and Mommy explains that she and another toy had a little...disagreement that ended with her being run over. Poppy asks which toy did it, but Mommy won’t elaborate.
- You offer to untangle her but Poppy warns you that Mommy will attack you if you do. When Mommy sees you backing away from her, she reluctantly promises not to hurt you. She's been trapped under this thing for ages and she wants out. She even says she’ll give you the train code.
- Poppy trusts Mommy about as far as she can throw her but reluctantly helps you untangle her. Once you’re finished you take note of the sorry state Mommy’s limbs are in. They’re tightly knotted in some places and cut up from being, y’know, run over, but Mommy explains that it’s an easy fix as long as she can get to Playcare, giving her more incentive to not kill you yet.
- You ask about the train code and Mommy explains what she planned to do to whatever employee that was dumb enough to come back. As Mommy wraps herself around you and leads you and Poppy through the Game Station, Poppy begins to question your self preservations skills.
- You’d think getting the code would be easy now that Mommy is working with you, right? Wrong. The toys that Bunzo, the Mini Huggys, and PJ have been waiting for a playmate for a while, and the three of you will do nicely.
- Musical Memory is a breeze for Poppy. It’s still rigged of course, but she explains that she loves puzzles.
- As the three of you leave though, you can’t help but feel like something’s watching you. Something other than Bunzo.
- Whack-a-Wuggy is even easier with you and Mommy working together. But partway through, Mommy says that the Mini Huggys are being more aggressive than usual. Once the game is over, they all try to attack, but Mommy swings you through the window to escape.
- While you’re making your way back to the main section of the Game Station, you can’t help but notice the patches of blue fur scattered around the building. Poppy notices too and says that it looks like Huggy’s fur.
- Mommy - who’s mostly been reminiscing about the old days up until this point - says that she heard Huggy a little while before you and Poppy showed up. She says he sounded angry.
- You wince and think back to earlier that night. “I...may have dropped a crate on him and watched him fall into the depths of the factory.”
- Poppy and Mommy have very different reactions to this.
Poppy: ...What the fuck, y/n?!
Mommy: *Fucking wheezing*
- You explain what happened when you first entered the factory and Poppy has to concede that you were only acting in self defense. Mommy meanwhile, is laughing at how you’ve royally screwed yourself over.
- At least until Poppy says that Huggy doesn’t like her either. And in the state she’s in, she can’t really put up much of a fight. After that, very little is said about Huggy. You just try to keep your eyes peeled.
- When you meet Kissy Missy, Mommy flips out and nearly strangles you before Poppy tells her to calm down. Poppy tries to ask Kissy if she’s seen Huggy, but the pink monster leaves after pulling the switch.
- “I’m not sure why you thought she’d help,” Mommy says. “You know she always kept to herself.”
- While you’re trying to open the gates for Barry, you ask Mommy why she reacted the way she did. Mommy tries to dodge the question, but Poppy bluntly states that Mommy’s scared of Huggy. Mommy denies it, but Poppy brings up the last time she and Huggy fought.
- Naturally, you ask what the fight was about, and Mommy says that Huggy was upset over nothing.
- “It was because you kept treating me like a toy,” Poppy scoffs. “You shut my mouth and forced me to play with you.”
- “You are a doll, dear. What did you expect?”
- “To treat my like an actual person! You never do it to any of the others!”
- You try to defend Poppy, but Mommy quietly threatens to strangle you if you butt in. The two go at it for a few minutes before Poppy gets fed up. She climbs into a vent and tells you to find her when you get the rest of the code.
- Not even a minute later, you hear her screaming. You and Mommy follow the vents and find Poppy struggling in the hand of Huggy Wuggy. His fur is disheveled and matted with blood. You take a cautious step forward, but Huggy screeches at you and leaves with Poppy.
- You tell Mommy that you have to go after them, but she scoffs and says that neither of you would have a chance against Huggy. She still needs to go to Playcare, and you don’t have any crates on hand.
- Honestly, you’re a little tempted to leave Mommy and look for Poppy on your own, but you’d rather not face Huggy on your own again.
- You get to Statues, and before the instructional video can even play, Mommy launches you both through a window.
You: What the hell?!
Mommy: The game was impossible to win. I caved in the end of the course so I could kill you at the end.
- You’re really not surprised. For the last hour or so, Mommy had been very clear about what she was going to do to you once she was fixed.
- With Statues abruptly out of the way, you turn your attention back to Huggy. You don’t care how long it might take. You’re not leaving without Poppy.
- Almost as soon as you finish making that declaration, Huggy slams down behind you.
- He sees you, who sent him hurtling to the bottom of the factory. He sees Mommy, who treated Poppy like nothing more than a plaything.
- As you can probably guess, a chase ensues. The entire time, Poppy is screaming for Huggy to stop.
- Eventually you get to the grinder. Huggy’s hand gets stuck, and he accidentally turns it on as he tries to free himself.
- The screams he made will haunt you for months to come.
- As Poppy is screaming and crying for you to help him, it’s Mommy who reaches over and turns of the grinder. You faintly hear the sound of metal scraping on the floor, but you focus on Huggy instead.
- A tense silence follows as you all take in what just happened. Huggy shoots Mommy a questioning look.
Mommy: I wasn’t going to let you become a part of him. I don’t like you, but nobody deserves that.
- Huggy nods, and it seems that another truce has formed. As the four of you make your way back to the Game Station, you ask who “He” is. Huggy is shaking from the question, and Poppy and Mommy don’t answer.
- Poppy asks Huggy if he wants to come to Playcare with the rest of you. Given the state he’s in, he couldn’t refuse even if he wanted to.
- You all crowd into the cab and make your way to Playcare, only for the engine to pick up too much speed and crash...

SDV: Bacherlorette Baking HCs <3
Tumblr media
Post Type: SFW, Fluff, Platonic/Romantic x Reader, Mentions of Family in Haley, Maru, and Emily.
Characters: Haley, Penny, Maru, Leah, Emily, and Abigail.
GN Reader (You/Yours) - slight baker!reader.
Here's the second installment of my baking headcannons for the romance-ables! This time with the lovely bacherlorettes. Assumes a baker!reader, but you can also just read these as general headcanons. Enjoy!
'SDV: Bachelor Baking HCs <3' can be found here.
AO3 | Masterlist | Previous | Next |
Tumblr media
Haley:
Arguably the best at baking out of all the bachelors and bachelorettes. Not only is she a canon baker, mentioning it a few times most notably in her fourteen heart event and post marriage dialogue, but her background fits quite well into it too!
I imagine she’s been baking since she was little, but really grew into it after her parent’s left to travel the world. Owns an apron and an huge inventory of baking utensils, dry ingredients, and cookbooks.
Not only did she teach Emily how to bake, but she will also write down an alternative recipe for everything she bakes - specifically to give to Emily.
These alternatives will include detailed steps for the recipe itself, but also for any substitutions (raw diet, gluten free, sweeteners, etc) that can be made. She decorates them with stickers and keeps them in a little folder for her sister.
Also gifts a lot of her baking to other villagers! Usually the default baker for anyone wanting a home-made birthday cake. She’s quite proud of this :)
Gets so excited if you ask to bake with her, may even invite you first! She’s very confident of her skills, and shows it in her work - she’s meticulous, down to the very last detail, balancing the flavours and placing the decorations perfectly.
She spends a lot of time on prep work with you too! When you go grocery shopping together, prepare to spend a lot of time browsing ingredients - she’ll inspect the fresh groceries closely, and only be satisfied with certain brands for everything else required.
If she has a crush on you, she’ll start making requests for the fresh produce she needs on the community bulletin board, especially the things she knows you’re growing that season, and when you come to deliver it, she’ll invite you inside to come help <3.
Absolutely elated if you gift her any of your baked goodies.
If you get together, consider yourself set for life on the baking front. Somehow, she always manages to have something freshly made. Will work hard to memorise your favourites off by heart, and will work towards preserving her recipes for anyone dear to her heart.
Canonically her favourite cake is pink cake, but I reckon she also just likes most fruity cakes.
Overall Baking Skill: 5/5. The self proclaimed (but deserved), "Queen of The Bake Sale".
Tumblr media
Penny:
Pelican Town’s best kept secret by far is the semi-unfortunate reality of this girl’s cooking and baking. She know’s she’s not good with it, but she just loves both so much, and you can see how eager she is about it, so everyone’s super encouraging. It’s very sweet, actually.
Sam is one of only people in town who actually doesn’t understand why everyone makes such a big deal out of it anyways. Truthfully, her baking isn’t that bad, I mean, she makes mistakes often, and things usually end up a bit burnt - but you can always eat around stuff. Elliot’s baking is the real enemy here.
She borrows a lot of cookbooks from the museum and will study them relentlessly. One time she accidently returned one with all her sticky notes still attached, but she’s one of the only villagers who borrows them anyways - so Gunther ended up suggesting she just leave them in from now on. Maru likes reading her notes in the books from time to time.
Likes a big range of baked goods and flavours, but especially likes eating whatever Leah and Harvey makes. Doesn't ask for anything from them often though.
If you like baking, she might ask you for help to make sure nothing goes wrong. You’ll figure out quickly that’s she’s actually got a lot of good ideas, and has most of the theory down pat - she’s just a bit unconfident about her skills, and has trouble executing her ideas into reality. Give her a push and some gentle encouragement, and you may end up making something really good together :)
If she has a crush on you, she’ll start recommending you her favourite cookbooks and asking about stuff you like so she can direct you to her favourite same or similar recipes for it. She’ll also ask you for help more often.
If possible, she hopes that she’ll be able to make something together with you that she can offer to Jas and Vincent (and later, Leo) as treat for studying so hard <3
If you do get into a relationship, she’ll keep at it, and may actually see herself improve slightly. She might deflect and start out by saying that she owes it to your help, but truthfully it’s entirely her own hard work, effort, and perserverance.
Overall Baking Skill: 2/5 Determination pays off!
Tumblr media
Maru:
Love, love, LOVES anything tangy, zesty, or citrusy. Doesn’t bake though, and doesn’t know how to either, but not because she doesn’t want to - just because she never really has had the chance to. She’s got a lot going on, with working at the clinic, helping her father out, and with any personal robotics projects she has.
Demetrius is also a bit wary of anything that could supposedly “get in the way of her bright future”, so if there ever was a time she was interested in learning how to bake, it likely would not have received any of the interest she might have liked to receive :,(
If she ever has a craving, she’ll go to Haley instead of her friend Penny. Because whilst Penny has been known to cook and bake, she’s honestly just a bit bad at it. Maru would never tell her that though.
Would love to join you in your baking endeavours! As it turns out, like her brother Sebastian, she actually has a little bit of an affinity for it given the right direction.
If she has a crush on you, you’ll probably see an influx of letters in the mail from her describing the newest baked goods she’s tried or heard about, or she'll straight up just send you recipes.
She’d also probably memorise your favourites, and find herself subconsciously looking for them whenever she goes shopping for herself <3
If you get into a relationship together, and especially when you move in together, I could see her indulging in baking as a pastime more.
She tries not to make a big deal out of it, but she’s actually very concerned with your strenous lifestyle, and will often pack you small lunches with a slice of whatever she’s baked recently to ensure you’re keeping fed and hydrated during your long days on the farm.
Canonically loves rhubarb pie and strawberry. Would probably fall in love with you again if you ever combined them lol.
Overall Baking Skill: 3/5! Baked good enthusiast.
Tumblr media
Leah:
Honestly not really a big fan of baking, or even eating it for that matter, and she especially dislikes the super sweet stuff. If she does bake, she tends to prefer stuff with a floral essence, like poppyseed, lavender, or even rose!
Buys her ingredients as locally as possible, and has a few plots to herself in the community garden. If she can, she’ll forage.
Learnt extremely quickly not to bake with Elliot (RIP Leah)
If she has a crush on you, and on the rare occasion that she does bake, you’ll have first dibs.
She’s pretty similar to Haley in that she’ll want your farm's fresh produce to work with as well, though she’ll skip the bulletin board and go straight to you instead :)
If you get together, baking together might still be a bit of a non-event, but she’ll go above and beyond in making sure that you have everything you could need, providing you with some of her community garden harvests and forage <3
Overall Baking Skill: 2.5/5. Environmentally conscious!
Tumblr media
Emily:
Sweet tooth - but has a few dietary needs and preferences! Living in a small town, the things she often craves often don’t come with alternative or substituted ingredients, so most of the time she’ll have to make them herself, or ask her sister.
Since Haley’s a picky eater, Emily took up most of the cooking in the house. Unfortunately, it’s a real struggle sometimes finding meals that both of them will eat, and she’ll often have to resort to cooking two of the same thing, making them both personalised to eachother’s pallate.
Haley knows this, and while she really doesn’t like cooking meals that much, she does genuinelly want to bridge the gap in her own special way; it’s why Haley taught her how to bake!
Emily certainly isn’t as good as her sister at baking, but she’s still incredibly talented - learning the basics incredibly quickly and having a real sense for how different ingredients interact with eachother.
Honestly, she could make her own recipes from scratch if she wanted, but she much prefers the ones Haley makes specifically for her. She always shows Haley whenever she uses one of her recipes too :,)
She’ll probably share the things she bakes with you before she even realises it’s something you enjoy - and when she does realise, she’ll be super excited at the possibility of having another baking buddy.
If she has a crush on you, she’ll go out of her way to ask you about your favourites, and will try her hand at making a version of it that you can both eat together.
If it’s not something she or Haley have made before, she’ll keep you updated on the process as they work it out. Will insist on feeding you, and will wink cheekily at you when she uses the same fork for herself <3
If you get into a relationship together, she’ll share all of her ingredients, recipes, and even cooking utensils with you. Will also look for cute shape pans or cookies cutters to gift you.
Overall Baking Skill: 4.5/5. They are sisters, after all.

Abigail:
Never thinks about it honestly - she likes baked goods, but she just doesn’t see herself getting much out of making them. Has all the ingredients available to her if she ever changes her mind though.
Prefers things with dark chocolate or seasonal berries, and especially likes eating them with accompaniments like hot cocoa, whipped or ice cream.
Haley’s not really her crowd, but she always gets a custom birthday cake from her every year since she started offering.
She keeps an eye on Pierre’s inventory, so if something that Sam or Sebastian likes comes in or restocks, she can be the first to grab a few of them.
She keeps keeps them on her person when they go to hang out, so she can immediately give them one if they mention they’re getting a bit hungry. Doesn't make any sort of deal about it either, just holds it out to them. Neither Sam nor Sebastian knows why she does this, but they’re not complaining either.
If you like baking, you’ll have to invite her if you want her to join you. She’s not good or bad at helping out, and will prefer if you take the lead for the majority of it. She will bring over the little extras or whatever you’re missing though! And as you serve up, she’ll offer to make you a drink or something simple to go with it :)
If she has a crush on you, she’ll start including you in her little Sam+Seb snack grabs, and if you ever mention needing something but not being able to find it in town, she’ll secretly get Pierre to special order it, by saying she’s heard alot about it in town recently, and they could turn a pretty big profit by being the sole provider! Is she lying? Yes. But, it’s for the farmer, so who cares <3
If you end up getting into a relationship together, she’ll make sure you’re always stocked up, mostly on general ingredients, but especially any decor. Likes buying you sprinkles or marshmallows and making you custom mixes.
She’s still pretty serious about the Egg Festival by this point, so maybe consider making her a few themed items using her mixes? She’ll love that.
Overall Baking Skills: 2.5/5. 'Decor Skills 100'.

Zuko’s character is crafted from the very first episode with an intense interest in striving toward moral goodness, it’s only that his concept of moral goodness is distinctly nationalistic then. Honor is the keyword for him, and his stated reason for doggedly searching for the avatar. Satisfying his father has to do with this moral obligation (to follow the patriarch’s orders and to preserve the safety of the nation which those orders entail and therefore to be Good). Zuko wants to be a good boy, and much of his initial angst derived from his father’s judgment that he’s not a good boy, when he spoke out of turn and then, worse!, refused to defend himself. His turn toward team avatar has less to do with a moral turn or even learning how to care and more to do with an expansion of who he includes within his circle of care (so that the well-being of those outside of the Fire Nation matter and he, himself, begins to matter), which coincides with his shift toward a new leader to trust with a less dogmatic relationship. Yet, his core of stringent morality remains.
Tumblr media
Azula, on the other hand, is driven by success. Her ease with firebending gave her a taste for affection derived from performance rather than reverence. Her moral muscle is ignored and weak because of this. With her prowess and bemused charm, she got to be the Good Kid with no dark nights of the soul, no internal conflict about her place among others because she was at the top. Fans are right to be sympathetic to her experience of abuse. She’s a rich depiction of the abusive development of narcissism and the tragedy that’s required to disrupt that egomania.
I think a lot of comparison between these two responses to the abusive family dynamic places the blame on their mother Ursa. The worst takes emphasize Ursa’s passing remarks about Azula’s misbehavior as sites of abuse themselves, which ignores the high pressure environment created by Ozai and the Fire Nation Royal Family to neglect and punish vulnerability in pursuit of hierarchical power. That Azula latched onto one of these comments might be better read as Azula’s own sensitivity to criticism within such an extreme social environment. A more interesting perspective is that the development they got to experience with Ursa, the implementer of moral explanations as seen in Zuko Alone, might’ve shaped their responses. Zuko had more time with Ursa and got to experience her teachings of familial piety at a more mature age than Azula before their mother’s departure.
Tumblr media
But I think the most all-encompassing perspective is something I mentioned earlier. Azula had the gift to perform what her abusive family valued without strain. Zuko had many things to offer but not prodigiousness, charm, or strategy—the skills his family valued. Their natural abilities (beyond their control) influenced the treatment they received from their parents (within Ozai and to a lesser but still a meaningful extent Ursa’s control). So Zuko dedicates himself to his family and to achieving his family’s expectations that are out of reach for him because he is offered no other options. He believes he is Bad for failing his family’s expectations and strives to be Good. Azula doesn’t have to work hard to embody her family’s abusive desires and knows that maintaining her prowess, beauty, and cunning is all that’s required to retain her place as the apple of their eye. She believes she is Good without concern for the possibility of being Bad.
I think those Good and Bad relationships are important for those dealing with abusive family dynamics. Therapists use archetypes to describe dysfunctional family roles (golden child and scape goat are the most familiar, but you’ll also see the mascot, the lost child, the flying monkeys, and the peacekeepers alongside the abuser and the enabler). They’re oversimplifying and force one’s attempts at self-identification towards sitcom tropes. Failing to fully identify with these rigid roles fed into me doubting the reality of my abuse. But Zuko’s relationship to morality felt familiar and I could see a similar development in my own life—the flexibility and tacit obedience my parents valued in children weren’t things I could easily offer (I’m a little too spectrummy for either of those to be easy options). Their corporal punishments did not change this, but they left me with the desire to act and be more flexible and obedient—the desire to be Good—and the shame of failing every time—the knowledge that I was Bad. It’s something I still struggle with. This categorical view of a self as inherently good or bad is a key marker for the experience of someone whose developed in an abusive, neglectful, or recurrently traumatic environment, and it’s what’s so well done throughout ATLA. Zuko and Azula provide such clear examples of what that moral coding can look like, and, as siblings, provide a really clear depiction of how and why it can be experienced and create outcomes that are so different even within one family.

one day i will create a coherent line of thought about every quotation in “cold nights” and send it to you but today, my friend, is not that day.
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM MAKES ME THINK -OH SO MUCH- AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT!!
all the decisions she made were not only in character for her but also very smart- except perhaps the “forgetting to run” and “turning back to get jessup” ones. they were made instinctively to prove dr gaul wrong in her idea of “humanity unmasked”.
the fact that she hadn’t even planned to run makes me want to crawl under my skin. i need time to think about that.
had i not been in the subway while reading- i just know that i would start crying at the last part.
AH ilysm bc i do put a lot of thought into the quotes i pick for her and i am so glad someone appreciates it
also yeah i just KNOW dr. gaul is shaking in her boots about one seventeen year old girl starting to tear apart her philosophy like that literally thirty seconds into the games hahaha. and coryo’s like “fuck she has absolutely ZERO self-preservation skills” and that is very intentional on her part. clearly she does have them, she just doesn’t care
and yeah i did cry while writing it so you are stronger than i honestly

Tumblr media
“Fuck, get them inside!“ Kaitlyn’s voice, followed by a deafening gunshot barely manages to pierce through the thick layers of shock and panic that has completely paralyzed her companions. Realizing this, she makes a point to give Dylan’s shoulder a firm shake, calling out his name.
By the time he’s ‘come to’, Kaitlyn has once again redirected her attention to the malevolent creature that is the cause of the shock and fear he’s frozen as a result of.
His gaze hesitantly travels down to the bruised, dirtied and bloodied Y/N, whose freshly opened wound has rendered him powerless.  That’s when Kaitlyn’s words start to make sense to Dylan, both who she was referring to and where to take him.
“Come on, Y/N.“ He mutters as he kneels down next to his friend’s barely moving body. His heavy breaths and agonized groans are almost inaudible due to the lack of energy and air reaching their lungs. His vision is giving up on him, vignetting around the edges and blurring in the distance. That’s why their arm is so limp and lifeless when Dylan drapes it around his shoulders, “This is not how you go. Either I kill you or you live forever, do you understand?“
Weakness and exhaustion aside, Y/N finds it in himself to chuckle, “That thing might be beating you to it.”
“Not if I have any say in it!“
One look over his shoulder confirms Kaitlyn is handling her own quite well, which also prompts him to head straight for the lodge, carrying the entirety of Y/N’s weight on his shoulder. His blood pumps loudly in his ears, the adrenaline coursing his veins didn’t have the time to calm down after the severing of his hand before it was kicked back up into high gear just moments ago.
When Y/N jumped directly in front of the creature to shield Dylan and Kaitlyn from its attack.
Luckily, the wound inflicted on them wasn’t a bite so they aren’t infected, but the werewolf’s claws dug deep into their abdomen, leaving a gnarly sight and an even worse possible outcome in the future.
His case doesn’t seem salvageable, not with the minimal medical resources they have available.
All Dylan’s fate is placed into Kaitlyn’s hands and medical skills but he knows she isn’t a miracle worker. He knows there’s very little they can do. But he’ll be damned if he doesn’t do all he can and beyond. He won’t be able to forgive himself or the cruel fate that placed them in such a fucked up situation, never giving either of them a chance.
Truth is, there were many chances. There was an entire summer worth of chances. There was two months worth of opportunities for Dylan to put into words how he feels about his ‘rival’. How his heart sped up every time they’d get in a quarrel, or how butterflies ate away at his stomach each time they made eye contact from across the room.
He had all the time in the world, but let it all go to waste. But he still has the right to say it’s unfair. Because it is. Non of the is is fair. None of them deserve this. Hell, if he had any less self preservation in him, he would’ve taken on that werewolf with nothing but his bare hands to brandish at it. Oh, an his anger. Lots of it.
That’s all he can think about as he sits in the chair next to the makeshift bed in the nurse’s station, leg bouncing with his heart lodged into his throat as he observes the restless but also limp form that is Y/N’s body.
He can’t help but think back, flip through the book in his brain that’s a collection of all the memories they made during these past ten weeks. And it still seems far from enough. It seems stupidly wasted, all the time they had on their hands, with all the words they allowed to dangle unsaid in the air.
Just like the silent agreement that these might be the last moments they ever spend together.
“What are you thinking about?“ Y/N’s voice snaps the dazed Dylan out of his internal downward spiral. The most he can offer in response at first is a single raised eyebrow which earns him an eyeroll from them, “Don’t give me that shit. I can hear your gears turning from over here.“
“To be fair, you’re not very far...“
He cuts him off almost immediately, “I said don’t give me that shit, I might not have long enough to live to listen to you beat around the bush.”
He’d argue otherwise, but he’s never, in the entire duration of their friendship, lied to Y/N. He’s not about to start now. He knows that they’ll value false hope a lot less that the realism Dylan is so reliant on. That being said, he cuts straight to answering his question, “I’m thinking how we’re all shit out of luck.”
Y/N scoffs, “You can say that again.“ He’s quick to regret his wording when he sees the smirk playing at the corner of Dylan’s lips. They point a warning finger at him, “Don’t actually say it again, you dummy.“
The accused chuckles, “Fine, I won’t. But I really mean it. It’s a shitty end to what was one awesome summer.”
“Could’ve been one awesome final night as well, but noooo, shit just had to go south.“ He says bitterly, groaning under his breath when he accidentally contracts the muscles of their abdomen too hard.
Dylan’s eyebrows rise with curiosity, “You had some grand plans too?”
“Yeah...“ they sigh, before the realization hits them, that is, “Wait, ‘too’?“
Y/N never gets a follow up to his inquisition though because a split second later, Kaitlyn comes into the room, fighting to catch her breath. She’s quick to pull herself together, before either of the people present could ask of her wellbeing, and put the gun aside.
“Alright, let’s check on that chasm in your abdomen, shall we?“ She asks cheerily, as if she’s addressing a kid with a scraped knee. It’s a good technique which puts a certain ease in the room’s atmosphere.
The two nod as Kaitlyn cleans her hands up and adorns a pair of latex gloves. However, her quip wasn’t enough to completely wipe the fear from Y/N and the remnants of it have clearly painted themselves on his face. It’s a detail that doesn’t fly by unnoticed on Dylan’s part.
“Hey.“ He whispers, capturing Y/N’s attention, “That’s probably gonna hurt, wanna hold my hand?“
Typically, Y/N would make a joke. Hell, if the situation wasn’t so out of the ordinary, the offer itself would’ve been a joke - with more than a half-truth to it. But right now, neither of them is joking. Not Dylan with his offer and not Y/N with the nod he gives in response.
“Wait, it’s better if I don’t. You don’t wanna lose that hand too, do you?“ He remarks, getting a laugh out of the brunette. The positive reaction drenches them in relief, “I mean, you’re already all out of luck as it is....”
Dylan shakes his head, “I’m not. Not yet, at least. I’ll be all out of luck if I lose you, dumbass.”
It’s dark, with the moonlight seeping in through the blinds as the only lighting in the room, and yet Dylan could swear on his life he saw a blush creep on Y/N’s cheeks as he says, “I’d never be so cruel to leave you in a world without me in it.”
As jokingly as the sentence was spoken, it fills Dylan with a sense of hope, bringing an honest smile to his face, “I’ll hold you to it.”
“Good.“ Is the last Y/N can mutter before Kaitlyn injects him with something that knocks him out cold.
All the frightened boy has left is that sense of hope he’ll cling onto as well as Y/N’s promise. After all, he’s not one to break a promise he so confidently makes. That’s why Dylan decides to follow his example and make a concrete promise of his own
When they wake up, I’ll tell them how I feel

Okay, I want to say what I speculate what happens with Marinette, Alya, and Lila in the game.
I imagine Alya to be the MVP throughout the trial because she is someone who does research, someone who analyzes and thinks down-to-earth, someone who has the skills to investigate and piece together the puzzle. It just feels close to her character’s skills.
While I no doubt believe Marinette would be the main protagonist if this were the series, she kind of wouldn’t be good when it comes to finding the culprits. She’s emotionally-driven, following her heart, and she sees the best in people. And most of the culprits are her friends (Zoé, Nathaniel, Kagami, I’m not sure if Sabrina counts tho but it’s a maybe). She would kind of believe it was Chloé who did it (honestly I imagine the first trial would have everyone suspecting Chloé bc she’s still a 🐩 and probably be one of the only malicious of the class-unless you count Sabrina and “Adrien” if they act just as kind of bad-only to later reveal it was her sister Zoé). I don’t know if that would be in-character, but I’m just speculating how Marinette would act in the first trial. She saw one of her closest friends is dead, she subconsciously knows one of her friends could very well be the murderer, someone who committed an unforgivable action. She would just be a mess, and I would not blame her whatsoever.
(I’m also speculating if Marinette doesn’t have her memories of being the heroine Ladybug, because if anyone knew about Hawk Moth and the Miraculous, they would immediately figure out that he was the one behind it-I mean, they wouldn’t even be wrong. But that’s just a speculation).
But that doesn’t mean Marinette wouldn’t be useless in the trial. She is someone who is creative, who thinks outside the box, and would very well figure out how the murders happened (since Danganronpa has these murders be complicated and creative, which is completely up Marinette’s alley). Plus, I think it would be a cool character arc for Marinette to grow more confident, and learn to embrace both her heart and her mind (kind of like embracing both Marinette and Ladybug subconsciously) to become the Ultimate Hope.
It would make Marinette’s and Alya’s dynamic more interesting and a great duo (the heart and the mind) who can overcome the trial together (with the other classmates’ help too of course).
Then Lila comes to ruin everything.
From what you said about the culprits, their motivations for murder are mainly emotionally-driven. Again, I’m gonna speculate here on the murders’ motives, I could be wrong and apologize for that: Zoé could have accidentally killed Juleka when she was trying to get someone else like the mastermind (since you mentioned her trial would be like Kaede’s), Nathaniel probably killed Luka out of panic or self-defense since you mentioned Luka would confront him kind of aggressively I believe (it also could explain why Marc tries to defend Nathaniel since he didn’t intend to kill Luka to begin with), Chloé and Sabrina (I don’t know which one did the kill) is very obvious on why they would target Marinette and Rose just ends up being unintentional casualty that took the kill meant for Marinette, Sabrina I honestly believe may have either snapped or just accidentally killed Chloé out of an emotional breakdown (since I honestly would see Chloé blaming Sabrina for getting the wrong target and getting so hostile and verbally abusive) and probably be in so much shock she just runs away allowing time for everyone to find the bodies, Kagami, again, would no doubt just kill herself for her friends. Basically, all the culprits were driven emotionally and weren’t exactly good on keeping stable in order to make sure they escape and actually get away with their crimes.
Lila isn’t like that. I see her as someone who would be self-preserving (someone who wants out of the game period regardless of the motive) and has been planning a murder since day one. She would be calculating and planning on how to actually get away with her murder, observe how the others failed, and then come up with a complex plan. Starting with the victim: Alya. She is someone who can figure out who the culprit is, who figured out who done the crimes, and is the MVP of the trial. Take her out, and the trial would be easier for the blackened. Plus, Marinette would become emotionally unstable because her best friend, who no doubt would help keep her grounded with all the murders and the stress, is gone, and would very much struggle to point fingers since the remaining people are her friends (that is if she is friends with Lila to begin with during the game, but it would actually be interesting if she did figured out Lila was bad news and realize she may have been the one who killed Alya; it would also be a callback to the show when her friends would kind of take Lila’s side over Marinette’s).
It would also be a great character turning point for Marinette. She has to stand on her own now, has to carry the trial herself, and take all she learned to save herself and her friends from the conniving, two-faced liar. To slowly and surely start becoming the Ultimate Hope.
These are all just speculations and ideas though. I probably gotten a little bias or maybe got some characterizations wrong, I’m sorry, but I really wanted to share how I think what your Miraculous Danganronpa would play out. Also, this got a lot longer than I thought it would, sorry, I just wanted to get as much details and explanations in as possible.
Tumblr media
Oh my gosh this is spot on!
Mostly I set up the trials (the blackened and the victims) based on my gut instincts originally. To me it just felt right that Lila would go after Alya because she was the person that Marinette relied on the most to solve the cases. Without Alya, it would be easier to target Marinette and get out alive. Lila wouldn’t care at all if everyone else dies as long as she lives.
Im sure Marinette would still be shaken up from Kagami’s trial in ch 4 (now that I think of it so would Felix), so Alya’s trial would be especially difficult for her in ch. 5. Marinette will really have to hold her ground and rely on her brains and heart to get through it all. I think that maybe Marinette gets out of the trial alive due to some intervention from Adrien (the mastermind), since even in his mind controlled state he still cares deeply for Marinette. Maybe they declare Marinette as the blackened like they did with Makoto in D1, but she is saved last minute by him, idk. I’ll have to think that part over more. I would like to keep Marinette being falsely accused and “executed” to call back to the show where Lila gets Marinette thrown out of school with her lies. Idk, what do you guys think?
As for the first trial, Marinette would definitely be blaming Chloe, only for Alya to reel her in and redirect her towards the actual culprit by using logic and clues. I’m sure we would also get some (limited) help from Felix posing as “Adrien” in this trial as well.

AU idea I got from the finale about La'an never having been send off on the raft by the Gorn but instead was raised by them and eventually ends up meeting Spock when he gets captured.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like this idea because it’s challenging and a bit more unusual, but then I realized it has a huge flaw in the logic of the premise.
If anyone's interested in reading additional thoughts on the idea:
The basic premise is like a Tarzan story with La’an being raised by the Gorn after becoming the only survivor on the breeding planet (like the concept of being raised by wolves). We know the Gorn are a lot about dominance and survival of the fittest, so I could see them being impressed by La’an’s strength and survival skills and them taking her in as one of their own.
It’s definitely an interesting question to ponder if a human could survive among the Gorn, what it would take and cost them, would they be able to keep their humanity intact etc.
Still being a young girl, La’an would have no choice but to adapt and would eventually grow attached to the Gorn due to psychological conditioning with them keeping her alive. I also think she would suffer memory loss from the trauma so she would start to see the Gorn as her “saviors” and not the monsters having slaughtered her family.
But the older La'an gets, the more the conditioning and self-preservation methods she developed in order to stay alive start to unravel and she starts to sympathize more and more with the Gorn's victims, even helping some escape under the radar of the hegemony.
Flashforward to years later, the Gorn attack the Enterprise and end up capturing Spock. La'an is supposed to interogate him about the Federation’s plans and feels immediately drawn to him. To save him from becoming a feed bag for the others, La'an claims him as her mate. (Additional thought: to make the Gorn back off she would have to scent mark him, so rubbing herself all over a half naked Spock, you're welcome for that mental image).
And this is where the flaw in logic comes in, as I’m not sure the Gorn understand the concept of “mates” with them reproducing asexual or that they would be willing to spare Spock for La’an. On the other hand, reproduction and expansion are the main goals of the hegemony and since La’an can’t do that without a mate, they might see it a necessity for her to get a mate - if nothing else her offsprings could provide additional food. It’s certainly interesting to speculate on the Gorn’s social structures and whether or not they are capable of feelings, especially feelings of affection.
After growing closer, Spock mind melds with La'an to help her regain her full memories of what happened to her family. Finding out the truth, La'an cuts ties with the Gorn (though after living for so many years with them, she might feel torn about it) and flees with Spock towards Federation space.
Side note, though this doesn’t make much sense with canon, but I sort of headcanon the Gorn to be matriarchal with female Gorns being the big scary ones we see on SNW while the males are the smaller and chubby ones on TOS (like with a lot of insects where the females are larger than the males). Also I just realized they gave them tails that they didn't have in TOS, could also be a thing that only the females have (like male deers having antlers).

WIP Intro
Tumblr media
When Lilya Lamaya, a clever Bright Magic student, teams up with a trespassing Witch apprentice named Felix, they uncover the greatest secret of the floating city of Valerius, and must rescue Lilya's sister Carmen from Valerius’ clutches without bringing the city to the ground.
Genre: Middle grade fantasy
Tropes: witches, enchanted forest, floating island, hard magic system, magical girl (sorta), queer characters
Setting: SoM takes place in a region known as Pelroa, a few centuries after a war between magical factions destroyed most of the world, which has since been largely reclaimed by nature and transformed by residual magic. The City of Valerius was one of the few bastions of society to survive, and its people (Bright Mages) have been isolated on a floating island since that world-shattering event. A lake has formed in the crater Valerius left behind when it rose, and a couple of other surviving groups have made their homes among the enchanted forest there: a coven of Witches and a Shadow Mage city called Camaerahh.

Children deserve respect and to have their voices heard as much as any adult does. Adults can fail their children in many ways, and it is the duty of those adults to make reparations and elevate children's voices.
One should not make assumptions about a group of people based on their appearances, first impressions, or one's own preconceptions about those people.
It is imperative to question authority, even and especially authority figures you trust or love. No authority should go unquestioned.
Knowledge is a right that everyone, including children, should have access to. The desire to learn is something that should be preserved, fostered, and encouraged, and doesn’t disappear with age.
In order to truly progress, society must let go of the past and leave behind attitudes adopted during times of war.
In order to truly progress, society must coexist with the natural world and with other societies.
...and so on
Current stage: First draft
tags: #Story of Magus, #som CW: child grooming (ideologically), absent parents, loss of autonomy, drowning, nationalism, magical/fantasy violence
Characters
Lilya Lamaya
POV character. 12, a smart girl: self-righteous, nosy, constantly challenging her teachers. She is a student at the Academy, and is dissatisfied with what the Archmages allow them to learn. She wears her heart on her sleeve, and for that reason is a somewhat controversial personality among her fellow students. She tends to boss people around that let her and butt heads with people that disagree with her.
Felix
11, a firebrand: curious, attention-seeking, fiercely loyal. Felix chases fun and excitement, and has little regard for customs and rules. When she respects someone, she shows it deeply, but when she doesn’t, she will defy them relentlessly. She is quite lonely, with only her familiar (a ginger cat named Matilda) as a companion, who acts more like her guardian than her friend. (also a trans girl!)
Carmen Lamaya
14, a prodigy: responsible, compassionate, fawning. Carmen is Lilya's older sister. She is an incredibly skilled Bright Mage, even outside of her age bracket, and as such is poised to adopt the role of konyenon, which plays an important part in keeping Valerius safe. She works hard, and loves deeply; magic, her sister, and her city all share her heart.
[more to come]
Excerpt
Lilya and Felix crept down the passage after Carmen and the Archmages. Lilya tried to keep close to the cold stone wall to stay hidden, but the passage was so narrow that it hardly mattered. The group ahead turned the corner, from which an eerie green light sprang, and engulfed in it they looked like ghosts.  “Do your Archmages usually slink around creepy hallways?” Felix whispered. “Of course not,” said Lilya. “At least, they’re not supposed to. Something isn’t right. Carmen is supposed to be in the tower so she can help the city float. I don’t know what good she’d be down here.” “I bet they do this all the time. If I were slinking around I certainly wouldn’t go telling everyone about it.” Lilya threw a smile over her shoulder. “Then let’s do just that and keep quiet.” Felix smiled back and winked.
