When he always voices how ugly he thinks the shoes are and then proceeds to steal them anyway
I was gonna give him the shoes in colors that he would wear but @night-triumphantt suggested they should be hot pink because they’re valen’s so it simply became a must 😂💀

I've been thinking about this and I think that Judy Garrick could be the perfect parallel for Bart.
Picture this, a young preteen Judy Garrick shows up in the modern era. She's brash, she's inexperienced, she's uninhibited. She's just a kid trying to fit in and figure it all out and trying to have fun along the way.
And then you have Bart. He's older, he's wiser. He isn't the kid he used to be. He's grown in so many ways. He's entering young adulthood. He's trying so hard to forge his own path in life while balancing the family legacy. He desperately wants respect but not at the cost of having fun.
Suddenly, Bart's faced with a time displaced little kid. A time displaced little kid, who insists she isn't a kid, with the last name of his mentor. Bart's face to face with a walking reminder of everything he worked so hard to grow past and he's trying so hard to keep this kid alive out of respect for Jay but there's also some resentment there that Judy is Jay's real family. Not Bart.
Judy of course wants nothing to do with Bart. Who is this guy trying to tell her not to jump on power lines? Why did Jay say that she had to listen to him? It's so unfair. All he ever does is tell her to stay behind him. She knows how to fight, thank you very much.
The parallels. You gotta think about the parallels.
(*also to preemptively combat this, no I'm not ignoring Max but we can acknowledge Bart's father-son relationship with Jay without discrediting his father-son relationship with Max. Bart has two dads.)

It's late. Even underground, in the winding labyrinth of tunnels beneath Konoha where no natural light falls, Danzo can tell. There's a scent to the air.
Normally, he works through these quiet hours with the same dedication that he carries at all times. Tonight, however, his stacks of paperwork have all been meticulously combed through, signed, and filed. No one needs his attention. Nothing is wrong.
Danzo picks up his cane and begins the trek back to his old clan compound. He does not visit often. He is usually busy. He is not busy tonight.
His bones ache with a sort of weariness that denotes no real problem. He has learned to ignore this sort of pain. He ascends out of the tunnels, not bothering to muffle the sound of his footsteps with chakra.
He does not blink when he comes out to Konoha's streets. It is just as dark out here as it was in the tunnels. It is late out. A glance at the thin, crescent moon puts the time somewhere around 1.
Danzo makes his way past shopfronts, apartments, and fields. His memory of the layout of the village is annoyingly spotty. The streets have changed too much since the Kyuubi's attack, and he does not spend much time in them.
He walks past Hokage tower. The light in Hiruzen's office is on, casting a dim, yellow glow into the air. Danzo does not stop to see him. Soft, tender moments would ruin the sparks between them. He cannot think of anything more unappealing than stopping to relearn everything about the man who puts poison in his tea once a week.
He used to know Hiruzen. It was a mistake. A good shinobi does not have time for sentiment. Teamwork is a strength- relationships are weaknesses.
He wanders the streets for what seems like an eternity, a ghost in the village he has given and will give everything for. He does not regret it. He does not regret anything. He has done everything right.
Like the dull, distant pain in his hip, something tugs at his gut. Danzo ignores it. He knows what he is protecting. He knows why he does the things he does. He does not regret it.
He does not look back at the light in Hiruzen's office. The hair on his neck prickles- he can feel Hiruzen's gaze, how it carefully avoids him, observing the street around him, but not Danzo. A good shinobi has no time for sentiment. Hiruzen may be starting to fall apart in his old age, but lessons he learned alongside Danzo decades ago still stick to him like wet, rotting leaves.
Danzo finds his way to the Shimura Compound. There are heaps of fertilizer sitting in the garden, ready to be mixed into the soil. The smell of rotting leaves dances around the smell of the night. Crickets, hiding in bushes of nightshade, chirp a quiet, steady song.
The siding of the buildings in the compound is all pristine, brown and orange and achingly unfamiliar. Danzo knows how to ignore aches that do not matter. There are twelve in total, each housing one or two families. Danzo knows every name and face of his clan. He has met sparingly few of them.
He does not miss them. He does not miss the way he used to live. He creeps into the house in the center of the compound, past the rooms where the clan head and her four nephews sleep, into his old, dusty office. He will rest here, for the night, only because there is nothing else for him to do.
Danzo reaches across old scraps of paper with shaky writing and sloppy drawings and turns on his old lamp. A dim, yellow glow fills the room. He leans back in his chair. His hip aches. His hands shake. He does not regret anything, but quietly, because there is nothing else to do, he allows himself to feel very, very bad.
The lamp burns, and the leaves rot, and the crickets chirp. Dim yellow light slips through the window and paints stripes through the garden of poisonous plants. Danzo rests, and lets himself ache, and the night drags on.

Opinion on BNHA AU where along with Hero work, the students (and All Might) are also thought about methods of helping improving society, not just simply taking down villains?
I’m always in favor of incorporating more realistic practical lessons into U.A.’s hero course (though, we are limited to the first years; moreover, we’re limited to Eraser Head and All Might’s understanding of teaching, which you have to admit--isn’t totally locked down), but this often wars with my desire to suspend disbelief regarding Horikoshi’s worldbuilding.
There was this one fanfic that was like, really good about this without going too gritty/grim about the reality of a gamified pro-hero society. It was about 1-A (maybe 2-A, too?) doing some activity with the business course, where they learned how awful government red tape is when filing damage/insurance reports.
Anyways, off the top of my head, good (questionably legal) activities for 1-A to have done:
The Red Tape Task -- students are given a prewritten mock damage report, and a stack of blank insurance claims. Using the prewritten report, they will determine which insurance claims need filing.
Tartarus Field Trip -- students attend a tour of the Worst Prison Complex Imaginable. Because they are first-years, they stick to the top level buildings and only receive lectures about the security measures used to contain villains. The purpose of the trip is to give students some perspective on the consequences of being a hero. Yes, you will save people. But supposing the villain you fight causes too much damage before they are subdued, you will also consign people to actual hell on earth.
USJ Saturdays -- students rotate through the various disaster simulations within the building. You can tell so much money was invested into that facility, so you BET the teachers should be capitalizing on it.
Mandatory Volunteer Work -- if you’re going to be paid by the government, then you’re a servant of the people, and you should probably get to know who the people are.
However, if by “methods of helping improving society” you meant, ‘deescalation training’ and ‘getting involved in public policy and administration’--they’re teenagers, your honor.
I’ll throw a bone into the discourse, actually:
I don’t know what readers expect 1-A to do with regards to answering the demands of Shigaraki Tomura, Dabi, and Toga. There’s no good answer that, say, Kaminari (much less Mineta) can give to the idea of rehabilitating unapologetic remorseless murderers. I don’t even know if there’s a good class that exists in a liberal arts college (Ethics 101? idk) that can guide teenagers into critical thinking re: villain motives and preventative measures.
Help improve society. What does that mean for a professional hero, who doesn’t even have the power to arrest a ‘villain’? Donating their money to charity foundations? Donating their spare time to civilian projects? Retiring to pursue political office? Isn’t that the equivalent of an actor running for governor, or a billionaire TV presence for president? (*cough* I’m not bitter about this at all)
Give 1-A the task ‘What can you do to help improve society, and lower crime rates?’ and they will point to All Might’s Symbol of Peace/Pillar of Society.
It’s no longer the right answer, obviously, but it’s the one they know.
