Hello everyone!! Today I grow a year older :3 (and I hate it lmao) FEEL FREE TO REPLY BIRTHDAY WISHES IF YOU WANT :3

So, over the time I've come back here, I've become pretty confident and proud of my once hidden passion about sick characters, sickfics and sick comfort/whump... 🌡️

And you all have been so supportive and sweet despite my weirdness so I thank you for that. You helped me feel more confident in my otherwise weird fixation <3 So, for my birthday I thought I'd try and make up a little drawing challenge for anyone who wants to give it a try... There are soo many talented artists on this site (and in this fandom)

So... It's your turn to target your faves now. You will see how fun it is and hopefully understand why I love doing it so much. 😈🌡️

(plus it's my birthday and I require some sustenance LMAO JKJK)

But yeah anyone can join in. This is just for fun though! You don't have to if you don't want to! I think its okay to ask for some food on my birthday though...right?? X'D So if you wanna do sth for my birthday...then... 👉👈 💦

(Mmmmkay, I am lying to myself when I say this isn't mostly aimed at the RainCode community... X'D Can't help myself. But anyone can join regardless of the fandom!!)

So here's the challenge and the rules!! (featuring my two main lil targets ofc :3)

Regardless of who it is, put your fave through some sickness hell >:3c I'd love to see it! Make em' as miserable as you want!

If you're in the RainCode community you can target anyone, but as you know, my main targets are Yuma and Makoto. If they're also your faves and who you decide to use, that will make me extra happy!

Some tips for anyone new to drawing a sick day scenario art. A few things that make it look convincing are the following:

Pajamas or Loungewear

Messy Bed Hair

Fever flushed face w sweat or at least a red nose

Tired Eye bags

Shivery body

Ice Pack or a Compress on the head

Thermometer sticking from their mouth

LOTS OF BLANKETS

Tissues or medicine surrounding them

Tea or Soup (or both)

Those are just to name some from the top of my head. If you'd like some pointers on how to make a character look ill, check out my Fever Coloring Guide. This is for digital artists but traditional artists can try it too!

You can add injury or angst to the scene but I'd like illness to be the main focus of it.

The scene can be anything you want to, it can be fluffy and wholesome (with a caretaker) it can be angsty, or it can be silly. Its all up to you! Do it for the sake of fluff! Caretaking scenes are the best for any kind of relationship >w<

Either way, have fun with it!! I look forward to see what people make if they decide to give it a try! It doesn't even have to be a full on picture! Doodles and sketches are fine too! Just show me something >w<

Sickfics are one of the biggest things I live for! Any little drabbles or full fics with more than one chapter are welcome! Again target who you want any fandom you want, but I'll def be super happy if you make a RainCode fic. And even happier if you target my faves as well, but again, anything will do! Just make a cute story about your fave being miserable and being tended to! Trust me, it's super fun!

But I can order a yan with a sweet wizard boy where he lives in a house made of candy and attracts people for him to devour, I don't know if you've read the story of the brother grimms, of Hansel and Gretel (or Br: João e Maria). How about this concept?

I'm so sorry but I struggled with this one so bad, I made so many versions of this but always fucked up at the candy house part 💀 (I couldn't imagine how to write the reader getting inside, or even finding it even though it was supposed to be the most obvious part lmao) It's very short 👉👈

Pumpkin Pie [Yandere!M!Cannibal!Wizard/Witch x GN!Reader - Scenario (?)]:

You were having tea inside a colorful house, your vision was very blurry and your ears felt clogged, and to make things harder to understand there was a heavy and pretty mixed up smell of sweets and candies, overwhelming your nostrils… You don't remember when or how you got in, or why, but the tea was nice so you kept drinking.

You were having a nice time with a stranger who you don't really remember the name of… He wore a weird suit for your town's weather, actually it was just off in general… But you thought it looked nice…

He smiled at you blissfully, clearly having a good time… You felt like you were having a good time as well… You like to think so.

Okay, to be honest you couldn't feel a single thing, your legs were numb and you felt like your head was way too heavy to move it around. You barely felt awake at all. So you just assumed it was probably a strange dream, after all you didn't know this man, right?!

He was talking to you… You didn't understand what he was saying, the smell of something tasty was being baked… Pumpkin pie maybe…? How long have you gone without one of those? Your father didn't like how much sugar you ate, so you were restricted to only a few sweets… But he probably wouldn't be mad about one slice of pumpkin pie, right?

The man patted your head endearingly as he smiled at you, he seemed to not care much about how you weren't paying attention at all… You thought that was sweet of him considering you were always considered an airhead by your family.

… Speaking of them- Shouldn't you go home soon? I mean, this is very pleasant and all but you don't remember how long you've been here and the things that happened beforehand feel like a blur… Your family had a curfew and you didn't want to get in trouble again for breaking it.

Ah, but what could you do? You were just so curious about the forest beside the mansion. You secretly hoped to see fairies or anything magical whenever you went there, ah, how wonderful it was to escape your responsibilities as middle child for at least a few moments.

Sure, your family was wealthy, a lot better than most people in town, but you wished you didn't have to stay inside all day… Your older siblings would get to work with the family mine business while your younger siblings got to play and study all day long, and you? You were sort of the second servant of the house, there were many expectations placed on you and not enough attention to your interests and dreams…

You already miss Ms. Bell, she is such a nice lady and sadly your only friend in a big almost always empty mansion. Actually, you're not even all that bothered about being a "second servant" because you actually like helping her out.

Ah, sweet Bell… She always told you to be careful out in the woods, people would often go missing, especially people who have zero expertise about finding their way in and out… Ms. Bell, always so caring and wise… If only your family listened to you more like she does…!

While you kept drifting into different topics inside your own head, your vision was starting to come back to you and your ears seemed to get better after a while… Your head was still very heavy and it aches as you look around and notice- This guy has a weird taste for decor! Seriously, there's candy everywhere!! Actually… Was everything MADE out of candy?! What the hell?

Wait, you can hear humming, you can hear him better now, he is singing a nice tune as he gets up and takes care of the pie in his oven.

"You're finally awake, or at least more awake now! I'm sorry for what happened before, the dose I gave you was probably too strong, I guess it is just a habit of mine. Please forgive me." The man said in a joyful way, smiling at you like he did before… His voice was familiar but nothing to really help you remember.

"I guess I haven't introduced myself properly, then again I didn't think you would make it this far- I don't know why but I couldn't bring myself to let you go to waste. You have a very sweet smell and I couldn't help but wonder what it would taste like." He acts as if what he said was a compliment, and you strangely enough nod your head, feeling a little dazed still.

Yeah… but, what was he talking about? This conversation was weird and it was starting to worry you a little bit.

He brought to the table you were sitting on his pie so it could cool down while you two chatted, and filled the table with a plate of muffins and another of small bread. They looked incredible!

"You can eat how many you like! Consider yourself my guest, it's actually very nice to have someone over after such a long time…" He sat down in front of you and started to pour you more tea.

"I think it's clear to see I don't really do this, well, my name is Zirick, and this is my house! Don't worry, I'm not mad about what you did earlier, it happens all the time! And of course, my house was pretty much made for it, ya know?"

You didn't understand what he meant, so you told him your name and apologized for not only not remembering what you did but also for doing something that would offend him.

"Oh Pumpkin, it's okay! It's my fault your head is as empty as my cup of tea- My spell was supposed to just knock you out but I guess it was a little too strong and in return made you lose a few memories! But don't worry it'll come back eventually…"

"What I'm talking about is that you stumbled around my land and… Well, after seeing my house you couldn't help but want to take a bite off my walls! But I fixed them already so that's fine."

What? He knocked you out with a spell?? For eating his walls?! That entire sentence didn't make sense to you, you would never randomly eat someone's walls!! Even if they were delicious and even if you… do remember snacking on them… a little bit…

Ugh your mind was a flurry of thoughts, it was like different ingredients being violently mixed together and not mixing well! (Heh, cake comparison! You sure he would have loved to hear that one).

Well, invading someone's property like that was not a good thing but you weren't sure if knocking them with a spell or two was a good way to deal with an intruder… Still, you apologized and said you were going to find a way to pay him for his sweet wall. He waved you off laughing to himself.

"Oh but human money is worthless to me, and besides you have already paid me- Oh! Speaking of which, I just have to make sure this pie tastes good- I would offer you but I don't think it would taste, little Pumpkin."

He started to cut himself a slice… It was very red and meaty for a "pumpkin" pie, yet it smelled like one to you… And to him too.

Your senses were starting to get to you, you started to feel worried as the man was staring at you expectantly, you looked around and saw a peppermint clock on the wall, it marked 10 and you were sure by the darkness outside the window it meant 10p.m. You tried to get up and excuse yourself, after all you needed to get home soon or your family would end up getting mad at you.

But before you could actually walk away, you fell hard into the ground. You noticed you weren't feeling your legs properly, that's because one of them was missing.

"Don't roll away now, you're my guest today, remember? And besides, how far can you go without help, silly?" Zirick came to your aid very quickly and helped you get back to the chair immediately.

You tried to push him away, you bit him, you slapped him and even tried to kick him with one leg- It didn't work, he still knew how to tranquilize you into going back to your dreamland…

"Shh… Ah, how sad. All my guests get like this… You're a little fiesty for such a sweet Pumpkin, but I somehow can't get enough of your company, perhaps when you wake we can start again…"

He licked his dirty, bloodied fork eagerly. Normally he would have turned you into a massive pie but he wasn't THAT hungry and surely just a leg would be enough, and you were adorable walking around in the woods like a little adventure! He couldn't help but trick you into coming closer and eating a piece of his house- He needed a reason to get you inside of course, an eye for an eye, as they would say.

He isn't sure how he'll go about this but he likes your company, especially when you're too dazed to have any inhibitions or sense of privacy when talking to him! He could hear you sleepily mumble for hours, you were just so sweet to talk to, and to taste!

Just a reminder: I haven't played AA5-6, I got some glimpses of spoilers, but not much. So reader(s), please, take this into account and don't spoil me! :'D

1. Why do you like or dislike this character?

I think Apollo has a lot of potential both with his backstory and what he can become. I really like his dynamic with a lot of characters (Kristoph, Trucy, Phoenix and Klavier mostly), it shows that he isn't a carbon copy/discount Phoenix. I appreciate that, while he did admire Phoenix, he became a lawyer because he felt it was his calling and that he's truly committed to what he believed in. No matter how much he admired his mentor Kristoph, and was grateful towards him, he didn't hide the truth nor tried to justify what he did.

8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?

Hmm... I guess it's when Apollo suffers from the "uke syndrome", y'know, when the writers reduce a male character to a poor little fragile thing who needs to be rescued by his manly top boyfriend? (like a lot of other male characters, and ironically the female characters get hatred for that but I'll stop here).

But the worst is how, in some stories, I saw Apollo becoming so petty! Carrying an act of cruel revenge and/or manipulating for some things that... okay, weren't okay, but not that bad?! And if they wanted him to get back at the other, he didn't need to go that far? Seriously?!

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

Apollo is very good with a skateboard and rollerblades. When he uses them, he can easily go as fast, even faster than some people who are on a bike. He knows some tricks, most he learnt out of pragmatism or spontaneously and not to impress (but he still likes the praises!). He'd like to have a motorbike someday instead of a car.

15. What's your favourite ship for this character? (Doesn't matter if it's canon or not.)

Klapollo! Not the most original, I admit, and for once I really like a popular pairing <3 ... even if it's not always easy to find the characterization I love most x'D

I think it's a pairing that has a lot of potential and where a lot of genres can get mixed in it (another reason to love it): fluff, angst, fun, complex, dark, sexy...

25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?

As stated in the first question, before playing the game, I was a bit afraid to get a less good version of Phoenix. So I was pleasantly surprised to see that Apollo truly had his own personality. Back then, he striked me as a clumsy, well-meaning young man who had a temper and a very good sense of observation. Now, I see a righteous young man, who tries hard (a bit too hard sometimes) to be more "adult" and to do his job properly, and who (ironically or not) wears his heart on his sleeves.

Hello!

How are you doing? How is life going? How's the writing going?

Hi! 💜

I'm currently sick x'D So things could be better? But it's just a regular cold, I think, so it'll hopefully pass relatively soon.

But, before getting sick, I was restoring and painting more windows at our old family house. We've almost done half of them now! JFC it takes a lot of time and effort. Like, there are four of those panes to each window and there are nine windows in total that we need to get done — and that's without counting the HUGE one in the stairwell that's four meters up in the air because, well, stairwell. I have no idea how we're supposed to do that window. And I also have to paint the actual window frames.

I mean, it's worth it in the end because I love this house and it's a part of my family history etc. etc. but goddamn if it isn't incredibly tedious work x'D

As for writing, I, uh, haven't done much. I got A LOT of writing done last month but, as is my habit, I write very intently for a short period, then take a break. So the only writing I've done is the words I've added while editing. Which, then again, came up to a total of 4k this month, I think? But editing has been going pretty slow, too, especially right now since this is what happens whenever I try and my dad's dogs are in the same room:

At least it's the smallest of the three. She's still not quite aware of how big she is and thinks it's fully reasonable for her to climb into my lap like she used to when she was a puppy (it's not).

But at least she's smaller than the other two, fully grown monsters. I mean, try writing with this in your lap:

He's my cuddly little baby and I love him to bits but he's also VERY big.

... and yes, you can bet I shove my entire face into his neck fluff as often as I possibly can.

(And no, they're not wolves — they just look like they could be x'D)

But yeah. Very little actual writing is happening. If I'm less feverish I might give it a try this weekend, though? We'll see! I haven't decided on what story, though. I have so many I want to work on and so little time!

25. What’s your favorite part of the writing process (worldbuilding, brainstorming/outlining, writing, editing, etc)?

Ngl, it's probably worldbuilding/brainstorming in a friend's DMs. It happens a lot more than I ever put out fic for, and it just brings me so much joy to go "Oh, oh! WHAT IF!" and get to see friend's reaction, especially the enabling kind or see them spiralling off into their own spin-off direction :D

The Fringe Benefits of Being Family - kidfic fluff with my kid OCs and Zhao Yunlan being A Good Dad, Actually. I probably could've reached a much wider audience by just posting the Weilan scene in the beginning as a standalone, but gdi I wanted more of my kids x'D

this is how the war is won - YOHE AU with alpha!Kunlun and omega!Shen Wei being starcrossed lovers on opposite sides of the war. There's not a lot of love for omegaverse in this fandom, which is fine, I can bring my own :D

Good Poison Taste Bitter - Zhu Hong PoV on the Zhang Danni case in an Already Married Weilan AU. The premise for this verse has existed for a long time, I just never finished any of the related fics. Until I sat down and asked myself, what's a self-indulgent trope you would love that you haven't allowed yourself to write recently? The answer was shenanigans related to Secret Idenity and outsider PoV, which culminated in this fic.

51. Does what you like to write differ from what you like to read?

Depends! There's definitely stuff I like to read that I don't write because I'm not usually inspired to, and the emotions hit differently when reading vs writing. I can never tell how angsty something I write is e.g. because constant re-reading for editing takes out a lot of the impact. And some plots have a level of complexity my writing skills are not good enough for (especially in regards to my patience and seeing it through and keeping it *consistent*. I have a terrible tendency of wanting to reach the conclusion early and writing the characters at the state they're supposed to end up in rather than growing towards that goal)

If the frost doesn't get you, something else will. Well, y'all, it's that time of year; it's spooky month!! xD So you bet I had to come back with something a little on the creepier side! And for fun, I decided to try out a character that I've never used before; Freddy Frostbear, from Fnaf AR! (Though this is the Black Ice version technically) One of the things I love the most about Fnaf is honestly just how open to interpretation everything is?? And it might be kinda goofy, considering Frostbear was really just a christmas skin for that game, but there's just so much room for headcanons and just having fun putting your own twists on all the characters! And though I've personally never played AR, I do love the designs for the skins/characters, particularly Black Ice Frostbear's, sooo... why not? xD It's fun to try something new every once in a while anyway! I love the idea of "Frostbear" really being some sort of ice cryptid that just took on Freddy's likeness. And that the original Frostbear is just a normal form, while his Black Ice version is more of a defensive form. Though he'd have to be really cold anyway to stay in one piece and not melt or evaporate, so trying to be around him at all would prolly be a one-way ticket to hypothermia. x'D BUT if all else fails, he'll take drastic measures to ensure his own safety.

And there was apparently one poor soul who didn't get that memo. Honestly I had so much fun with this! It took a lot longer then my usual pieces, but it was just so fun to stretch my artistic muscles and draw something new! And I haven't done a proper background in a while, so I figured it was about time I took the plunge again! xD And I'm super happy with how it turned out! The best way to kick off Spooky Month, I'd say! ;3 And expect plenty more spook-filled art throughout October! (Plus some of the usual fluff, of course! xD)

Pest: I feel like he would be almost treated like classic sans in the way of "stinky trash man" (affectonate). Like, people absolutely love him and his rats.

War: she would make all the lesbians, bis, pans, etc go crazy. Who doesn't like a strong feisty woman? There would be a lot of fanfiction of her breaking her hard shell and showing her inner self. So a lot of angst, fluff, and hurt comfort. Granted she has a partner, people would draw self inserts and such with her.

Nyx: I dont know much of her either, but she would be like war in the sense of making the gays go crazy. That and men with possibly mommy issues (this isnt deogretory but she gives me the vibes of thats who she would attract). She would be given the pretty villian aesthetic in fanart absolutely. Personally i would like to know more of her since i know so little.

While some of partners, all of your characters would have interesting.. "Fun" fictions. But where's the fun if there wasnt?

Pest's fandom treatment,, pfffft. Yeah, that sounds about right. Hands down, could definitely see that being a thing. Then with War, PFFT. I feel like if she knew that that's the treatment she'd get, she'd probably wanna die of embarrassment. Nyx would probably also wanna die of embarrassment, but she'd be much more low-key about it than War. Also love that she gets the pretty villain aesthetic even though she's a good/neutral character

Granted, she's one of Nightmare's kids. She's her daddy's little princess, so that's probably where the villain aesthetic might come from, but she also looks after children and fiercely protects them and the handful of people that she really cares about

"fun" fictions.... Snrk. The fandom would be welcome to do whatever they want with that stuff. Even if some of it was kinda out there, I'd still be interested in seeing it

I don't think much would happen to be honest, although it is interesting that you got in this situation in the first place. Being forced to marry your rich bully sounds like an absolute nightmare, and it could be considering it's Alexandra we're talking about!

Ah, but who isn't to say that this was all a carefully laid out plan to get you to be with her anyway? I mean it doesn't sound so ridiculous if you think about it.

I don't think she would've been able to orchestrate EVERYTHING, but imagine this- You two met in high school and she hasn't stop being a menace to you even during college, but since your family was always in a tight situation financially she knew how to play her cards right to convince your parents that she was your "high school sweetheart", and that she was the perfect choice for you!

She is a beautiful model after all, she comes from old money- And she has that added benefit of having been in your life for a while now (for the better or for worse… mostly worse). How could your parents NOT fall for her charm??

Which by the way, they never understand why you never showed her to them before, it doesn't matter if you told them the truth before or not, right now they were absolutely sold on her as the perfect candidate for you.

There was an awkward dating phase at first, she would treat you a lot better than she did in her high school years but you still couldn't help but see her as a bit of a menace to your otherwise calm life.

It took you a while to notice why she would treat you the way she did, how she didn't actually mean it… Of course you weren't one to easily forgive and forget, but you did give her a chance to improve herself, despite the odds being against you, you stood your ground and never gave her the chance to put you down again.

The dating part felt a little rushed in your opinion, but nothing could be done about it considering your marriage was planned a lot earlier than you ever could have expected- And I'm not talking about your parents who really needed you to get that financial security, I'm talking about Alexandra.

Your new wife was still creepy… Not scary and overly domineering as you expected her to be in private but still somewhat creepy.

And somehow you grew to accept that! It seemed to get better with each passing year, or maybe you just didn't really care about her obsessive weirdness towards you… Sometimes, it was a bit endearing!

Or maybe you're crazy too, who knows!

Ah, but your daughter, a sweet little girl that thanks to some miracle was not as bratty as her mother! A bit of a daddy's girl, and just a tiny hint of a troublemaker- But that's basically any child.

I would beg you to not spoil her too much as You Know Who is her mother, but I assume you would still do it anyway, wouldn't you?

Your relationship with Alexandra was always a bit odd, and hard to explain. You weren't unhappy, not at all! You had a really good life now, and it wasn't just because of the money.

You've built a really nice family with Alex, even if it's just you three… But sometimes you're not sure if you really love Alexandra all that much…

Well, you grew to like her! But sometimes you feel like you shouldn't so easily forget her past interactions with you, and even though it might seem perfect to be next to someone like her (rich and beautiful), you're very much aware of the ways she could easily ruin someone's life if they got too close to you. The person who slept next to you every night was also the one who would lock you in empty school lockers, and is the same person who would also use her money to ruin someone else's life for even looking at you wrong…

And it's also the same person who smiles everyday as if everyday was sunny to her, who is a good mother overall and great wife despite her unhealthy tendencies, who is always apologizing late at night about her past mistakes even if you didn't bring it up yourself.

You clearly loved your daughter a lot, and after having the displeasure of meeting your mother-in-law you REALLY didn't want your daughter to end up like them (I named her Yasmin but it can be whatever you want-).

It's not just that you really love your daughter with all your heart- She is the reason you feel glad that this marriage happened in the first place- But you're also worried that if you are not around, Yasmin will turn into her mother or worse yet, her grandma, ugh.

You were thankful that she didn't come to visit you three much, if at all. You didn't know why exactly, but something told you Evelyn wouldn't be a good influence on your daughter. She never treated you badly, but you sure knew she didn't treat Alexandra well.

Spoiling wasn't the same as parenting. Nor was whatever that witch did.

In Alexandra's point of view, she recognizes that you seem very distant to her in general, but from her perspective you seem to be slowly getting more comfortable around her- Even if you don't notice!

It can be a bit frustrating that you never give her the same amount of attention you give Yasmin, but she doesn't mind all that much… It's really cute to see how much you care about your family, it's all that she could ever dream off!

Nice try in trying to make her mad, yeah, she gets a little petty sometimes but she isn't the same person anymore, whatever you did during all these years somehow motivated her to become a better person for the sake of you and for the sake of your daughter.

Alex isn't completely unaware of your disinterest, the fact that even after all this time you still feel conflict hurts her but it makes a lot of sense.

But since you're married to her, she would still like to think she has a chance to win your heart, if you would like that or not is up to you or course.

2. My favorite chapter in my favorite fic of yours

Okay, this is a tough question. I think I have to come back to it. But I think, definitely, the answer depends on what I've read recently. Maybe the shortest answer is that I loved/still love every fic I've read from you so far. Which, mostly includes every chapter of those stories. (But I admit, it is hardly a decent answer, so I think, I'll save this question and give myself time to collect my thoughts properly.)

(Sorry, I didn't want to leave the ask unanswered, so I thought giving a quick response, for now, could work - sort of... x'D)

13. If I've ever shared/talked about your fic to someone else

Oh yeah! Unfortunately, irl I don't have friends who share this kind of hobby with me, but when my sister lets me rant about stories, I share everything, including fellow writers' works too. <3

Beyond that - here, for example - I share/reblog fics that grabbed my attention and what I've found really good. (Usually, I reblog named fics once I read them, which leads to the state I don't reblog much stuffs - it takes me time to read through fics - so if someone sees their works reblogged by me, even if I don't leave behind comments or feedback (shame on me btw), it means I loved those a lot! :) )

(Sometimes, when a fic is really good, you know, I don't feel 'one' reblog reflects enough my love, I'd just like to shout out to the void and share those fics like a hundred times, on repeat, and praise the writers' name for all eternity... okay, maybe I should collect those 'old' fics again and reblog them, I'm pretty sure the authors would love to see their works recommended, not only when those are 'fresh'. :) )

(Sorry, it rather turned out as a general answer for both, so I'd like to emphasize I LOVE every work I've read so far from you, and I can't really choose which one I liked the most, and which one grabbed my attention the most either. Your portfolio is very exceptional if it comes to fics and themes. I mean writing anything from fluff, through mysterios to horroristic elements... I can't tell enough times you are very talented, and I love reading your fics! <3)
