I hadn't been to a Christian church since the 90's and my very Catholic grandmother in law "finds this out for the first time" the week of Easter.
Surely, I thought, it is obvious I am Pagan. That her grandson is agnostic. We had nothing even remotely Christian involved in the wedding. He basically hates holidays that aren't feasts. I have a little fey garden squeezed into our tiny second floor apartment. I've got All One Wicca on the bookshelf prominently next to a bound copy of the US Declaration of Independence and Constitution, our photo album, and an encyclopedia of national parks. We show up to hers for Christmas because we are invited, but none of the decorations in my home have anything to do with Jesus and I know I have said to her face "We have Yule on the 21st at my parent's home" when coordinating holiday schedules.
Did she think we just didn't invite her to the baptism that we never had? What is in this woman's mind? She's an absolute queen of gaslighting and I feel like maybe this is more of that and not, perhaps, genuine.
Yes, the child is fine to go hunt eggs and go pet bunnies. We have our own narrative we spin for Ostara - which was last month, but at this age time has no meaning and we've just learned what Spring is.

Major Character Death occurs in the first chapter, then the time travel fix-it tag activates.
The thing that most people across all timelines didn't realize, and that Dr. Stephen Vincent Strange tried desperately to forget, was that to do what he did in the fight against Thanos he needed to live through fourteen million, six hundred and five lives first. He didn't look on from the outside like some omnipotent specter nor observe everything in fast forward, but instead experienced each one as himself in a possible timeline.
His mental health hasn't held up all that well.

Well would you look at that, I did a little more... (fanart of jotunn Loki from @sofiadragon fanfic series “Another Turn of the Wheel”).
So the statue garden is suppose to be mostly animals but also a few abstract ones suspended in ice. So in the foreground we’ve got a raptor cause Loki turns into one on occasion, also a howling wolf and coiling striking snake (Fenrir and Jormandgur references) and then the sparkly light show statue that Loki sketched. (I went back and tried to skim the relevant paragraphs, though I may have missed something...)

Spock doesn't think they can manufacture the red matter and counteract the supernova in time, just as the elder he met as a young man had failed to save Romulus in his universe. With delays and unforeseen errors running down the clock, he takes comfort that all may not be lost. He has worried over this task for a lifetime, and came up with a failsafe that might just save the Vulcan that exists in the next universe. The failsafe also involves deeply selfish things, but you can't fault an old man for wanting the youth to have more opportunities than he ever could.
Mostly a romantic academy-era drama from the point of view of the younger Spock and Jim Kirk.
Or: If Jim Kirk can cheat his way out of a no-win simulation with some code, Spock can do it in real life with some time travel.
