Blue diamond as Pink with her gem and placement, my thought process for these were to lean a bit more into pinks design style with the rounder longer pants. i also made an attempt at a more ballet style skirt with Pinks own ballet  inspiration. i think the second and fourth row work best with gem placement.

Hi, I really appreciate your comic, I binged it on tapas recently because I was starving for SU stuff. Your mom-swap is my favorite of all the ones I've read. It's just so interesting and I can't get enough, especially of Steven's exploits as a fashionista. I'm excited for what's next and will be waiting patiently for more.

PS: I loved "EE BOMB FRIDAY." I love the thought you put into the Gem language and how it ties into the inherent class system they have on Homeworld.

Thanks! I really love language, so if literally anyone else shares my fascination for how much we can do with gem culture because of it, they automatically gain my respect.

Currently I'm still mentally and physically kinda drained when it comes to SU, but I have many plans for the seasons to come, so hopefully I'll start the comic up again soon. :)

Him jumping off the stairs to dodge being trapped by 2 ravagers is just so cool. And then he enters level 3 and it’s pathetic tiny slime man again. “I wanna go homeeeee”. He’s so panicked in the dripstone it’s great. HOW DID HE DODGE BETWEEN THREE VEXES AND A RAVAGER AND EVOKER TEETH OH MY GOD. he can’t make the chain parkour when it’s not going LOL. and then he gets help from Pearl to do parkour! Everyone is an etho girl. All that and he dies to a vex.

The audacity to call Gem a chihuahua when he started it and the one who shakes like a little dog.

That’s an interesting strategy of also considering the slots the cards take up. Never thought of it that way before. That one should swap commons for rares makes sense obviously, but the way explained it! What a gamer.

HE JUST BE JEDI MINDTRICKING THAT RAVAGER INTO THE ROOM!!! Hypno must be fuming right now. I cannot believe he jumped right over Willie’s head, got stuck, and still manages to swim to shore without getting a single hit. Cub is so sad right now. Etho always has a Strat for the worst case scenario of being hazard block (a hard learned lesson right there lol), and he’s so happy when the way is actually cleared for once. Dodging that ravager and then MOMENT OF CLARITY RIGHT BEFORE HE EXITS!!! The dungeon is taunting him and wants him to stay so bad. AND THEN SWAGGER IN THE SHOP!!!

So he WAS a honey doper and sus stew slurper. Your barrel betrays you Etho. Oof that was rough. Ravager wrangling on level 1 is hard sometimes. He gives fair deals!! And calls out ripoffs! And it still doesn’t work lol. Infrequent runners giving out shards for cards makes sense because they aren’t going to use those shards anyways and having fun in dungeon with better cards matters more lol.

Remember when Tango said that people would never hit treasure limit on level 1? Especially without getting a key? Etho and Hypno and Gem are laughing at his redstone right now. Etho badmouthing Sprint before reluctantly buying it and now he loves it. Etho explores ONE time and immediately gets punished and he vows to never make that mistake again. HE GOT SANDWICHED BY THE LEVEL 2 DOORS LOL. HE ETHOWALLED HIMSELF. And of course the shop continues to torment him with bounding strides and nimble looting. I think he made the right choice there; especially since his deck has so much clank block.

How does he always get sprint right before entering level 3?? Rigged. HE ALREADY MEMORIZED LEVEL 3 AND LURES WARDENS AROUND!!? DARES TO UNSHIFT WHILE BLINDED AND ITS RIGHT THERE?!?! HOW?!! ETHO MY MAN HOW ARE YOU DOING THIS?!?! And then he misses Willie right there. AND HE MAKES IT!!! EVEN WITH A CAMPING RAVAGER!!!

Gem is absolutely right. Tango would hide an egg in the spiders den.

HE DOES IT AGAIN!!! Sprint right before level 3, in and out in roughly a minute, loot and scoot speeding his escape. And now Rusty!! 3 embers, 3 coins, and 3 crowns. That’s a lot. And he talks to Rusty like he’s telling his wild stories too. Sprint might be op, especially for level 3. Maybe tango should consider either nerfing it, making it more expensive, or limiting which level it can play at. He got 10 crowns. That’s insane. I don’t think anyone has ever left with 10 crowns without finding an egg / egg loot.

Etho: this is a deck building phase…. Here are three very good cards that I could buy. Hmmm…

Etho out here defending victims of scams and bad deals. First Cleo now Bdubs. And of course Bdubs voted armadillo when Etho specifically said not to. Gem’s a loyal ethogirl!!! That’s why she wants to beat him up so much. Etho on his rants. We love it. And then he just sets up Bdubs perfectly for Scar’s ravager jumpscare. Love that jump boost activated at the perfect time for that as well.

Wow that’s a lot of coins. Wished he didn’t cut him looping those ravagers though. And look he’s too scared to do the gem vine swing over the ravager in the spiders den. I’m really liking the crystal tings for level 3. It sounds so cool. Etho’s got level 3 down pat. Oh my god that bdubs track gave me a legit jumpscare. Was that tango messing around?? And I can’t believe that Etho maxed out the treasure for both levels. Of course he did. How does the shop always troll him with a card that literally just out of his reach.

That was a classic turn around the corner and BAM ravager jumpscare. Truly it is the spooky season this phase. Slime Etho!! Look at him go, looping wardens and finding the right spot somehow in all that blindness and tension. He got loot and scoot combined with bounding strides. And it got wasted because he was blinded and the warden was right there. The jump boost lasts for so long. The ravager wrangler is back at it! And he’s just there telling tales to Rusty as he waits for the loot to dispense. 2 coins, 4 embers, and 3 crowns!! Max Clank? We haven’t seen that for a while. YO THAT RAVAGER WAS RIGHT THERE HOW DID HE NOT SEE IT?!? HOW DID HE SURVIVE? Bro the redstone delay with the vexes saved his life right there. I CANNOT BELIEVE HE JUST CHARGED THROUGH RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE RAVAGER ON ONE HEART!!!! OH MY GOD. AND HE MAKES IT!!!! That shaky camera though.

Wait has Etho not died on level 3 yet? Omg he isn’t afraid to not perma-sneak. Look at him breaking the game again. The wild thing is that he found a parkour shortcut that many people had thought impossible previously. And of course jump boost occurs immediately after. His runs are just hilarious. I THOUGHT HE WAS ABOUT TO JUMP INTO LAVA HAHA. And what a perfect ending with the exact amount of frost embers needed to purchase suit up.

I found your SU fan-animation episode "The Smothering" with a Mom-Swap AU.

I have several questions.

Is Jasper a fusion? If not, what's Amethyst's role? Is she still an overbaked runt or is she more powerful? Is Garnet still a fusion? If so, is this AU's Homeworld's treatment of fusions different than in canon? If Pearl takes Peridot's role, are Pearls more than just servants in the AU? Or is she a servant pearl like other pearls? What's the deal with the diamonds in general? Jasper and Peridot still seem to have the yellow diamond on their chests, does Steven have Yellow's Gem on his chest instead? Or is it still just Pink? Has Peri never been poofed and is that why she still has her limb enhancers? Was Bismuth (and her whole deal) still a thing? If so, does this mean that Amethyst (Or Garnet?) was the one stuck in the mirror? Was it just Sapphire given her future sight?

These are just a few of the questions I have, I don't want to overwhelm you.

So the issue with what you're doing here is that you're trying to equate a one-to-one exchange between characters in the AU.

For example, there's no reason for Jasper to be a fusion.

So the basic idea was that Peri-Jasper-Lapis were Rose's friends in this version, or at least were the ones who ended up being alive (or unbubbled) and looking after Steven. The other component of this idea is that they'd be much worse at it. None of them being particularly good at getting along. I like to imagine they occasionally try and take each other out when away from home like when Peridot aimed her cannon at Jasper. They're a much more dysfunctional version of the normal gems.

So Pearl and Peridot didn't exchange roles in the story one-to-one. Potentially Rose didn't receive a new Pearl after cracking 'Volleyball' or felt too ashamed by this and bubbled her and claimed she didn't want a pearl. She did ditch Spinel forever on a secret island in space so it's not like that's unreasonable for her. If you want a cannon answer for this AU specifically, her new Pearl was delivered by her overprotective sisters and she never activated it. Partly due to shame and party out of loathing that they think she'd need an attendant. So Pearl (our Pearl) is in a box in Rose's room.

Instead, Rose found Peridot and broke stuff to have an excuse to talk to someone. She discovers Peridot has been hiding that she's a dud and cannot control metal but sees herself in the weaker gem. When she takes Peridot's hand instead of discarding her she wins her loyalty for life. Peri's Limb enhancers are things she created to feel more useful and prove she's not weak and useless. If you want another one-to-one exchange, imagine the reveal that she's got Limb enhancers replacing the reveal that Garent is a fusion. They're quite similar in regard to poofing a gem revealing their body isn't quite what you expected.

Lapis is just cheerful because in this AU she wasn't repeatedly imprisoned after many war crimes. I still use her theme of freedom, in that here she's enamoured with the idea that there's no hierarchy and revels in freedom. So she's the fun aunt type who would be fun for a weekend but god you wouldn't want to live with her. Rose met her shortly after she was imprisoned for a little accidental war crime she was ordered to do and set her free.

Jasper was just Jasper. But Rose revealed she was Pink Diamond and Jasper went to her side instead of trying to kill her unknowingly in a war for ages. Jasper already adored her and - after the idea is introduced that gems can choose who they want to be by Rose - Jasper attempts to mimic things Rose did because she liked Rose so much. Obviously, if you want to be a good gem mimic a diamond right? She attempts to mimic her compassion and respect without really getting it. Ironically she's the most like Homeworld, since she just obeyed her Diamond and is not trying to do what she thinks her Diamond wanted. Her journey would be actually understanding what Rose meant as opposed to just repeating it. (Fun gag: Since Rose loved Greg Jasper assumed Greg has immense value, and tries to sort of flirt with him because that's what Rose did. Greg figured out she's just mimicking Rose but it's still super uncomfortable and he's intimidated by her.) (If you want another one-to-one, Jasper gets the love confession from guy-who's-name-I-forgot and accepts. She shows off that she has a pet human like Rose and everyone is disgusted by this.)

So Peridot wants to show she's smart and competent, believing she's Rose's extension and needs to look after her son. She's conflicted about considering herself inherently weak and needs to learn to accept she doesn't need limb enhancers. She doesn't like Lapis because she's never doing any jobs and was born super powerful. She doesn't like Japser because she thinks she's an idiot thug and also was born Perfect, unlike Peridot.

Jasper tries to enforce a more military-like command structure but neither of the other gems respects her or cares so they just butt heads a lot. (heh) Lapis hates orders and Peridot doesn't think Jasper has smart ideas. Jasper ends up feeling like she's nothing more than a violent murder machine and her function is to do harm. They also get wicked pissed at her when she tries to mimic how Rose would act.

Lapis hangs out and has fun. She sometimes breaks rules just because she can and causes some issues. Being a powerful water lord she needs to learn some restraint and control as well as the ability to work with the others.

CHEATS - I left their design unaltered because I didn't want to use new designs. I should have used new designs, but I didn't. This is why there are yellow diamonds on the outfit. Assume they are incredibly uninterested in changing outfits. if I redid it they'd have unique outfits, or at least they'd have pink diamonds on their chests.

Bismuth, the Diamonds, and fusion are all the same.

I think Amethyst would have been discarded and practised transforming so hard she could pretend to be strong and large long enough that she'd get away with it. That and only faking muscle right up until she needed it.

She'd blow a lot of hot air and then try and end fights asap until Jasper knocks her around.

Sapphire would be great for the mirror, a mirror that sees the future would be incredibly handy. She'd be uncatchable also and fulfil the role of someone who contacts homeworld. When she came back with Amethyst and some rubies armed with destabilisers one fused with her to save her. This crisis of faith caused them to flee while the other rubies were bubbled.

See it's about having similar outcomes with the same overall plot. Instead of events being the same with new faces, you exchange the trials a character goes through with the other. Amethyst and jasper are facing the same issues but the one we're rooting for is swapped, etc.

For Pearl, she'd have an episode where Steven discovers her and the gang use her like a slave. Steven is uncomfortable with this and tries to make Pearl think of herself as her own person. She ends up working at the car wash and has a nice time. Steven wanted her to be her own person but she's coded to obey him, so he leaves her with Greg, who's not directly her owner but a still in charge, which she can handle better since having no one in charge around causes her to panic or shut down. Greg pays her but she turns around and uses her income to buy things for the Carwash.

Here is Sven with his Crystal Gem family, Jasper, Peridot and Lapis! They're from an su au I have that I call "su mirrored". As the name suggest, in this au things are swapped around, being a little familiar and yet different.

So instead of Steven, we have Sven who is the son of Moissanite (aka White Diamond). He, along with the CGs live in the colder fjords of Scandinavia instead of the warmer beaches in the US.

Now Sven, Peridot, Lapis and Jasper aren't a 1-to-1 equivalent to the canon counterparts either. They have some similarities, but they also have their own thing going on too.

idk man i just really think that if u genuinely believe that fic authors are required to care about characters they dont care about and make content for characters or ships they dont care about just to prove theyre not secretly misogynists uh. i dont think you actually care about how theyre actually treating real women. because you seem to be using solely the characters they choose to write self-indulgent free fanworks about as the metric to define that instead of, yknow. anything else they do. or at least youre putting a whole lot of emphasis on it

also theres quite a few lesbians ive met who actually dont write men. some even genderbend, whether thru a cis-swap where theyre now AFAB cis women or thru trans headcanons or whatever, canonically male characters so they dont have to write about men. theyre a minority in most animanga and other mainstream fandoms ive seen but as i am not in every fandom nor am i privy to the inner workings of every fandom idk how like, rare those ppl actually are compared to authors who exclusively or mostly write abt men

also like. not sorry for this one, but as a nonbinary trans man who is not a woman even a little bit and refuses to be seen as one or associate myself with womanhood because i am not a woman, it is specifically irritating to me to be told this, because i tend to write most about the characters i project on to or see myself reflected in, and, unsurprisingly, 99% of those characters are men, or can be read as men or are men at least some of the time, or more masculine in presentation

jasper from SU has always been my favorite gem and i didn't get invested in the series until she showed up, for example, and i heavily project onto her and see my experiences in her, despite her being considered woman-aligned, which i have no problem with and am actually glad about because there's not a whole lot of very masculine/butch women in mainstream media to start with, though i wish the show had been more sympathetic with her considering she's literally an abuse victim but i digress

but i often don't write for female or fem-presenting canon characters, or focus many of my fics on them, because in order for me to really get attached to a pre-existing character not of my own creation in a series, i need to be able to see some aspect of myself in them, or they need to have something that makes me interested in their story and draws me towards them. but seeing myself reflected in a character who is a woman or identifies mostly or often as a woman is dysphoria-inducing for me. that's why most of the female characters i write for are my own OCs, because i created them, which means a little piece of me goes into them, which means i'm able to have that connection i often lack with canon characters. i also tend to make the most content for characters i feel attracted towards, who are always men because i'm gay lmao

like i'm not misogynistic or a misogynist. i don't hate women. it's just that between my writing process and the canon characters my brain gets attached to, when i write fic, i write about the canon characters i care about the most, who most often tend to be men because i'm mostly in fandoms of male character-dominated series where the women are either uninteresting, poorly written, or extremely minor, or all three in the worst case scenario. and since i do this for fun, i'm not gonna waste my time writing something i'm not 100% passionate about just because there's a lack of f/f and women-centric content like

that's a problem! but it's a problem that can be just as easily fixed by the people who are demanding more content themselves if they, yknow, actually made some. which a lot of them don't

[I love the bauble beast. It’s weird and icky in the way that, say, a monster of the week on a cartoon would be. I could see one of these appearing in, say, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Assuming MLP was willing to dabble in a little light body horror]

Bauble Beast CR 6 N Magical Beast This creature has a centaur-like build, with four legs and two arms. Its appearance is vaguely feline, with skin like smooth stone. Small patches of metal and gemstones grow from its body in irregular intervals.

Bauble beasts are strange and greedy creatures of earth and stone. They possess warts that look like gemstones, and eczema-like patches that resemble precious metals. By grooming itself, picking off and eating these growths, and then regurgitating them, they can craft magical jewelry, which they then finish up by hand. These items are left in places where they are sure to be found. Anyone who wears such a forgery becomes magically compelled to gather up their most valuable items and leave them wherever the forged jewelry was made. Most bauble beasts hide and just scoop up the plunder, but those of an evil disposition kill their dupes to cover their trails. A bauble beast’s forgeries can be detected by a trained eye, or a trained nose. The finished pieces have a slightly sickly sweet odor, reminiscent of vomit.

Bauble beasts dislike combat—they usually end up in fights only in order to defend their homes and hoards, or if one of their compelled victims comes with friends to protect them. They have sharp teeth and claws, and can spit acid. They typically leave their hands free in combat, because creatures that take acid damage from them find themselves giving up their held items, similar to their jewelry deception. If it gets an especially fancy looking weapon or shield, a bauble beast will usually try to run away with it. Bauble beasts are ultimately cowards and opportunists, and would rather surrender and bribe their way to safety rather than fight to the death.

Although bauble beasts usually work alone, they may socialize with jewelers and merchants, or other creatures that work with precious gems. Xorns find their gems delicious but not filling—the equivalent of junk food. When multiple bauble beasts come together, it is usually to trade tips and show off their wealth. The growths on a bauble beast come from minor skin diseases, and different beasts have different colors or lusters of gems or metals. Giving another bauble beast your infection in order to expand their repertoire is seen as an honor in bauble beast culture.

Reccomendations for cartoons to watch include: Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, Regular Show, the later seasons of MLP Friendship is Magic (for the sake of completing it and being able to properly evaluate the show), Steven Universe, DuckTales 2017, OK KO, Big City Greens, Star vs the Forces of Evil, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Kim Possible, Hilda, Helluva Boss, Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated, She Ra 2018, and the Ben 10 franchise.

I actually still have another ask that is mostly this same list but I think Hilda and Helluva Boss are new. Mostly responding because something I find interesting about myself given how ruthless I can be with TOH is that, well...

I probably will never truly be able to be some big reviewer because when I start disliking something, I drop it. That's actually the big reason I'm responding is because there is NO WAY I am watching the like 4+ seasons of MLP:FiM that I didn't watch because I just can't engage with stuff I dislike. I find no joy in it and while I can rant for a couple episodes, it just loses my interest.

I never seek things out because I think I'll dislike them. I just don't think life is enjoyable that way. It's why I have no plans to return to Helluva Boss. I absolutely believe people would potentially send me asks about it with how polarizing it is but I got to the episode when Moxie and Blitzo are interrogated, went "Ah, I see, the two characters I hate the most and don't even find funny (Stolas and Blitzo) are the actual main characters and the pilot was potentially kind of a lie for what the real focus of the show is. I'm out." And I haven't watched an episode since. My brain struggles to click with media after all so why would I bother with media I actively know I dislike already?

I'll comment on a couple others that I have at least had experience with on the list in a minute but since Amphibia, I've watched the first season of Craig of the Creek and think that show is just AMAZING. There's at least one episode I keep wanting to do a blog on just because it exemplifies how much the show understands the wonder of fantasy and childhood without actually being fantastical. I've also seen S1 of SpyxFamily and some of S2 but right now the only streaming service I have consistent access to is Hulu (the Disney+ I was borrowing cancelled theirs to swap to Hulu) and they only have S1 dubbed of SpyxFamily.

I'm hoping to sometime soon actually watch Over the Garden Wall finally and just have been kind of a mess as of late as for why I haven't yet. I've heard only good things, and shockingly few spoilers, and it's about time I gave it a proper shot.

ANYWAYS:

Steven Universe: Watched the first episode and only really liked Greg so just didn't bother watching more. Steven was fine but I actively hated all three of the gems because of how brain dead they were in both segments of the episode. As far as pilots go, I think SU might genuinely have one of the worst I've ever seen for convincing you to like a main cast.

Gravity Falls: I rewatched the first episode recently and went "This is oooookay." Something about Dipper's VA just bothers me. Not like they're doing a bad job but that it falls into an uncanny valley my brain doesn't love. I really wish I could better explain why that show refuses to properly click for me.

Regular Show: I forget why but I've seen a few episodes. It's not bad but I don't think it's really for me. I find Rigby and Mordecai annoying more than anything else. Not awful but I think without it feeling like they're actually meant to be learning something, they fall into the trap Randy and Howard from Randy Cunningham fell into eventually for me where I was like "Okay, assholes can be fun for a while but if that's all you're ever going to be, I don't care."

Adventure Time: I have seen as many episodes where Fiona and Cake show up in that show than I have Finn and Jake. XD I have genuinely liked what I've seen and just for some reason never sought it out. Maybe someday.

Star Vs: I need to give S2 a chance but MAN when I got told they break up Marco and Jackie for NO REASON I lost a lot of interest in the show. I like Marco more than Star, and I've only seen S1, and thought Marco and Jackie's relationship was genuinely really nice and kind of unique. Also knowing it's most people's cartoon punching bag doesn't exactly fill me with enthusiasm for it.

Kim Possible: I remember rewatching the pilot a couple years ago and being shocked by how much I didn't care for Kim. I think the fact that Bonnie is the only one who gives her shit but she's actually just genuinely amazing at everything and liked by most make her just not compelling to me which is a shame because I have REALLY fond memories of the show. I'd probably commit to a rewatch of Danny Phantom first though since it has been just as long since I watched that.

(Weird fact: I was looking at Hulu's unfortunately limited amount of cartoons and saw they had Kick Buttowski of all things which is WILD to me.)

She-Ra: I've seen literally one episode, thought it was good, and definitely is one of the ones I keep telling myself to watch because everything about it seems like it'd be up my alley. These are also my thoughts on Voltron though with how much... less divisive that last season of Voltron is, it's definitely below watching Princesses of Power.

Ben 10: Loved the original series as a kid, tried the first two spin offs that came out and didn't really jive with either but I thought Julie, the tennis girl Ben gets with, was super cute. I know a friend who would LOVE to see me get into Ben 10 and do some reviews of it.

And just as an anime shout out, a part of me is still tempted to give Little Witch Academia another try. Not only is it just an obvious next show for me to watch but it's one I REALLY want to like because I like a lot about it... I just absolutely despise Akko from the like four episodes I watched a good number of years ago now. I thought almost all of the supporting characters were great though.

Just... Consider this my weird, rambly blog late at night about cartoons and the fact that I do wish I engaged with media better. One of the worst elements of it is that I don't engage well with scripted content well if my brain isn't already in an alright place. Like I don't go to television for distraction and cheering me up. I vastly prefer streams for that as I can actually turn my brain off during those normally. It's something I've talked about before and something I'd like to change. Heck, I even at one point had a therapy goal to watch something at least once a week since that'd still be easier than streaming or writing. Whoops. *sigh*

I do also appreciate the recommendations! The reminders are good sometimes since I don't feel like I actually stay in the loop all that well. And since I kind of assume this is the same person who sent a list before, I decided I felt like actually responding, especially because the MLP pitch is an interesting one but man... That's a LOT of Starlight Glimmer I'd have to put up with when just like six episodes of her as a good guy made me want to light both her and Twilight on fire to put them out of their, and mine, misery. That's without me getting into the fact that I just think the characters in general got worse by then, almost like series shouldn't last for that long because finding new angles on characters becomes REALLY HARD (says the dumbass with a series of his own that honestly is longer than he should reasonably plan a story for.)

Again, late night rambling while my brain deals with suddenly snapping out of a hyper focus on a game for three days and doesn't deal with that well. *sigh* Have a good night everyone, take care of yourself and see you next tale.

This is not a sus detail but THEY SWAPPED EARRINGS!!! So one ear is their own earring and the other ear is their partner's earring. Lei has like a silver ring with a green gem/shard and Vail only has silver hoops so yeah that doesn't show up as easily.

skid is a half - gem half human who's father (skid's dad obv) gave up his physical form to create, lila the human who fell in love with skid's dad.

like steven universe, skid's dad is a diamond in disguise. i'm still deciding what gem he would be but i picture he wasn't defective but instead took a second form to blend in amongst humans and to spy on the gems of his court.

firstly, ALL cult members are gems, homeworld taking the place of the cult's status in the spooky month story. however some members are disguised as humans such as ignacio and father gregor.

however, MOST of the main cast are humans. Most humans taking simaler role to their canon spooky month selves. Though Kevin specifically takes Lars' role because thats just far to perfect.

HOWEVER SOME of the humans are instead gems for the sole reason of their being more recognizable gem characters, such as Streber, Hanna (she's here too eheh) and various others i'm still deciding on.

As for the gem characters? HERES the list of what type of gem each of them are

idk what skid's dad would be disguised as or what his diamond type would be, but he'd be some sort of red and/or blue/teal gem- possibly a cats eye to fit the eyes motif?

I'm thinking of making either Streber or Bob a Bloodstone, Bob cuz blood and streber cuz blood and the teal/green and red color pallete. still deciding on which one tho.

Also if Frank is a Gem he has to be a Topaz, it's just perfect. Maybe he uses shapeshifting to capture kids instead of fusion

listen i tell myself i wont get in on discourse but i do see the gem au a lot rn and i am glad im not the only one saying their not a big fan of the designs... remember i looove su. i love su aus. but for one, i can not tell at all who is who. and its bc theyre just sticking to canon gems and not even making their designs more defining to their skins (if theyre aquamarine they just look nearly like canon aquamarine and not whoever theyre supposed to be). if it was a "swap" au thatd be different but if not ?? seriously i just cant tell who is who. took me ages to figure out scar or grian and even still i am not completely sure LOL

also there was some talk about the bigb design as well. i get the canon look of snowflake obsidian but you know like. it shouldnt be "oh that gem is black coded visually so bigb must be that". as if looking/being black is the one identifier. i mean there are... a lot of other black/poc coded gems... its all about the individual design.

but yeah like. i love su and gem aus so do not take this as straight up hate, esp for su!! tbh id love to design my own gems but i dont have that kind of time.
