SO ASH KNOWS IU PERSONALLy??? how does it feel watching the mv, ash? but wait, did she alr see the mv and hear the song tho? you did mention she's close with tae? and jungkook's reaction???
"I did hear snippets of the song, but tae asked me to watch the mv when it gets released. he thought i'll love it", you squeal, almost jumping in excitement, "and I freaking did! both the song and the mv was so, so beautiful... I may have cried as well. i'm sooooo proud of both of them."
what about kook's reaction?
"he's not here, is he?", you wriggle your eyebrows playfully, "guess we'll have to find out when he's back. or not. you know how flustered iu unnie makes him."

IU's music video has me speechless! Her and Tae's acting 😭
Oh my god! Their acting, her voice, the lyrics, the story, the emotion, the message.. every single thing about it was just so beautiful! 😭
Tumblr media
The tenderness between them during this scene 🥺 and I believed it! They're in love, they're married, and they have a child on the way 🤷‍♀️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
AND THIS PART! THIS PART RIGHT HERE BROKE ME! 😭 The way Tae tried to fight the cube off, and then the way iu held him in her arms and covered his eye so he didn't have to watch..yeah, I was crying.
There were so many little details in the mv that just blew me away. It was so sad but also so beautiful, and their acting was SO GOOD! I found myself so immersed in their story. They protected each other, and they fought for each other until the very end. They didn't give up on one another, and they didn't give up on love 🥺
I seriously need someone to turn that mv into a film right now. Give the people what they want!

Hi anon!
Omg very much same!! I LOVE it! I was completely mesmerized by the softness in it.. the way IU’s character protects Tae’s character in the end 😢. Blown away!!

Saying this on Tumblr because I'm too much of a chickensh*t to say it on twitter but Eunwoo and Taehyung are both dozens - don't make great music, mediocre dancing, can barely sing and can't act. Coasting solely on their good looks. Only thing is Eunwoo gives himbo vibes while Taehyung gives ahole vibes. Also atleast Eunwoo has the decency to be wooden in his acting while Taehyung is more in the school of overacting (Hwarang) or looking slightly constipated (his recent mv with IU) making Eunwoo infinitely more watchable because I can at least just gaze at his pretty face without cringing at his acting. I haven't seen Jisoo in any drama yet but if I had to guess I'd say she's right there with them. Thankfully Jin seems self aware of his acting ability so he will hopefully not join these three in their acting pursuits 😭 Let me also wait for his solo album before making any (more) snide comments
And atleast Eonwoo is consistent in his looks and doesn't do experiments on his looks like Tae he knows what works for him and uses it well. And I think Tae would do well in animations and voice acting because just like his girlfriend it's either he's doing too much or nothing at all when acting.
Jisso, Tae and Eonwoo are just the biggest 3rd gen dozens who are just pretty faces.
Jin would do so well as an MC he's funny or atleast I really loved that time he was an mc in one of SKs kpop awards along that guy from Exo.
And also lower your expectations for the album to negative infinity lmao

AHHHH Love wins all mv is so well made and tbe acting is so good but it's so sad 😭😭😭 it broke my heart a little.. the song is pretty too, it got stuck in my head ever since then 🩷 now I really want tae in a drama!!
How have you been? I have a cold for about 2 week now and I'm fed up.... also why is this month so long? Feels like it's been 40 years already.. buuuut I've seen you have things in store for the Iw couple 👀 I'M READY (but i'm not really) BUT I AM!
And I miss my tanniesss 🥺 I'm so used to hearing from them from time to time that it feels so weird now... that's why it didn't feel so bad last year, cause some of them were still here..
Take care, my baby, so you don't catch a cold too. Love yaaa 💝
- 🐧
that music video will stay with me forever. photobooths and camcorders and cube-shaped things will never be the same again LMAO. the song itself is def a masterpiece as well </3 reading the lyrics and feeling the emotions in iu’s voice as the mv progresses… such a beautiful experience 🥲
omg nooooo my baby :( i hope you feel better soon! pls take your meds and vitamins and rest a lot <3 as for me, uni started again so i’m tired as hell haha but i shall power through another sem 🫡 and it also feels nice to be excited to write for you guys 🫶🏼

nct ideal types 2021 :: 127
dream version | the confirmed facts are all from various interviews or fan questions but ‘my thoughts’ may well not be accurate! this is just for fun~ mark and haechan are in the dream version
moon taeil
Tumblr media
confirmed: someone cute with a short bob hairstyle
my thoughts:
taeil is a super chill, laid back guy who gets along with more outgoing members like johnny and haechan. this makes me believe he’d want a funny, outgoing partner to balance with his personality
he mentioned cute so this makes me think small or petite. definitely shorter than him.
he said once that he would love to sing to his future girlfriend all the time (she will be so lucky oh my gosh). not to mention he is very passionate about music and dropped out of a prestigious music school to join nct. so he would definitely need someone who likes and appreciates music
he said if he were a girl, he’d date yuta out of all of the 127 members. so perhaps he just thinks yuta is boyfriend material, but maybe taeil is attracted to the strong-minded, caring type
seo johnny
Tumblr media
confirmed: someone who smiles at him a lot. similar to girl’s generation’s yoona
my thoughts:
johnny seems to get along with everyone so this is a bit tricky to try to determine. he confirmed he likes yoona so going off of that, she’s obviously gorgeous and has a beautiful smile. her personality is also elegant, but down to earth and funny
he was voted by everyone including himself as the most romantic member. he says that he hopes one day he can build christmas trees with his wife just like he used to do with his mom (I’m so soft). I think he’s looking for someone who likes sappy romance and will flirt back with him
he’s tall. and since he named yoona as his ideal type, I think he’d prefer a taller girl (but not taller than him). then again, I’m not sure if he’d care all too much
he said he would date doyoung if he were a girl so I think that entails someone easily tease-able, neat, and proper
lee taeyong
Tumblr media
confirmed: someone who can teach him, lead him, and make up for his flaws. a girl with long hair of any race. laid back. his ideal type is the same as ten’s. someone hard-working has a tough style.
my thoughts:
he’s highkey a weeb (don’t deny this). no matter how charismatic he is on stage, we all know he’s a big softie who likes bugs and frogs and anime. he expressed he had a really hard time coming out of his shell and he’s quite introverted. he needs someone who’s strong-minded and knows what they’re doing
I remember when the rookies just came out in like 2014 and TY was 19 (?) ish and he confirmed that he’d never dated anyone yet. nobody believed him because he was so handsome but I have a feeling he was telling the truth. it’s been several years since then so I’m not sure how things have changed, but I have a feeling he would like someone experienced.
“any race” what a king. looks-wise besides having long hair, I can envision someone with great style. perhaps dyed hair, multiple piercings, tattoos, the works. fashion is something that tae really appreciates
nakamoto yuta
Tumblr media
confirmed: a girl with short hair and is around 15 cm shorter than him (so about 160cm aka 5′3″). an empathetic, cute girl who doesn’t ‘act pretty’. someone bright and comfortable
my thoughts:
he has a lot of confirmed facts about looks which are also really specific. maybe he just knows what he wants. but I also thinks he has experience. it seems like he wants a tomboy who has a strong vibe
he likes being the ‘oppa’ and taking care of others like we see him do with winwin, mark, and jungwoo. he’d be into someone who looks up to him and who he can lead
I don’t have a reason but I think he would like someone who laughs a lot and laughs at his jokes (maybe because mark does and he loves mark)
someone who’s not embarrassed to be herself
during oshiete japan they had to pick out of 4 types of roses to gift to their ‘girlfriend’. him and haechan were the only ones who chose to give 3 roses to their ‘girlfriend’. the psychologist analyzed this and said that they’re ‘flirts who seek attention’. so that being said, I think yuta would like someone who gives him a lot of attention and reactions
kim doyoung
Tumblr media
confirmed: someone polite and who treats their elders well
my thoughts:
I mean this in all seriousness, someone the exact opposite as haechan. while we can see in rare times that he does care for him, doyoung usually cannot stand haechan and all his tricks and taunting. as his confirmed type outlines, doie is really looking for someone who takes things seriously and listens to him well
I think he often feels underappreciated - a lot of times during his mv viewing reactions, the editors show another member during his part or just cut him out and you can tell he’s really disappointed (it hurts my heart). he would really like someone who goes out of their way to make him feel appreciated.
when nct 127 went on oshiete japan, doyoung was the only one to pick the potted rose and the psychologist there said that it means he isn’t looking to just date around, but rather to settle down and have a stable relationship. I strongly believe that doyoung is looking for someone long-term.
also, his love language is giving gifts (from my observation since he often gifts the members foods during mv shoots and gifted TY the couple ring). my best guess is that he’d want to spoil his partner a lot with gifts to show his feelings. someone who appreciates his gifts and understands that they come from his heart
he thinks ariana grande is hot so that’s the only visual thing I can think of. she’s obviously very gorgeous but she’s petite and has an amazing voice
jung jaehyun
Tumblr media
confirmed: a kind woman with long, straight hair who can communicate well with him. someone dependable, healthy, and into sports. someone usually calm but can be cute. doesn’t care if she’s older or younger. someone similar to him. someone like singer/actress IU.
my thoughts:
he has a lot of confirmed facts so I don’t have to make many assumptions here. someone with girl next door energy?
he says he likes IU, so going with that, someone petite and cute. She’s not afraid to speak her mind and treats everyone with kindness.
I think J was born to be romantic (literally, born on valentines day). he said his previous ambition was to be a teen dad and his lines from make a wish english version “spoil her with loyalty” sum up my next prediction: he wants someone like a best friend who’s in it for the long run
dong sicheng
Tumblr media
confirmed: someone with long, black hair
my thoughts:
he said his favorite actress is shu qi. although I don’t know if he just likes her acting or if she actually fits his ideal type, she is a traditional chinese beauty which I think winwin appreciates
he’s really introverted and is often overwhelmed by affection (i.e. all of the nct members). the exception is jaehyun and winwin seems to be the most comfortable around him. this makes me think he wants someone calm and chic
sicheng prefers staying inside to going out. not to diagnose him at all, but I reckon he can get socially anxious around large amounts of people. he’d like a partner who doesn’t overwhelm him and understands him
he really can’t cook (he couldn’t turn on a stove to make an egg on winformation). in the end, it wouldn’t matter, but i’m thinking that if you can cook you’d certainly earn some bonus points with him. it’s like that saying ‘the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach’.
kim jungwoo
Tumblr media
confirmed: n/a
my thoughts:
of all the members, I think jungwoo has expressed the least about his ideal type. not to make any unnecessary assumptions (but that’s all this post is really), but someone said he has strong bi energy. I can’t say anything because I’m not bi myself and I’m not him, but I can see this being a thing. take this with a grain of salt because I don’t actually have evidence
during oshiete japan, he was the only one to pick the large bouquet of roses to give to his ‘lover’. the psychologist analyzed this as him liking to pretend that he is in love and wanting to show his good side. he “can’t express his real feelings and doesn’t want to ever show his lame side to his lover”. because of this, I strongly feel that jungwoo would need someone who lifts his confidence and reassures him
the members he gets along with the most are probably yuta and mark. their personalities are quite different but based on their similarities, I think he is attracted to confidence, open-mindedness, and good work ethic.

I have always wondered why Yoongi constantly bickers with Jimin? It always seemed strange- even when Yoongi was following the "cool asshole" character Bighit prescribed him, he still was pretty gentle and caring with other members- and even more so now, but he kept fighting with Jimin.... now that i read some of your posts about the group and Jimin in particular (all what is not available to non-korean armys), i get why Yoongi does it. It's not flirting, it's Yoongi low-key dragging Jimin...
Yoongi knows how to push people’s buttons. He’s very much introspective in that way, and he knows how far to take things. ARMYs like to paint yoonmin bickering as an old married couple, when 9/10 it’s Yoongi calling Jimin out on his bs and Jimin retaliating. If you’ve noticed, Yoongi always lets Jimin get “the last word” and I’d say it’s because his whole point of bringing up Jimin’s shortcomings isn’t to “put him in his place” but rather to let him know “yea dude I see right through you, you might be fooling everyone else but you’re not fooling me.”
So yes anon, you’re right, I wouldn’t consider them bickering to be a sign of sexual tension. If you observe Yoongi’s relationship dynamic with Seokjin/Hoseok and Taehyung/Jungkook it’s a world of a difference. Around Seokjin, Yoongi gets all cute and snaps into younger brother mode. They both have a lot of respect for each other and it’s why they were able to have such an intimate convo during In The Soop as well. Around Hoseok, is when I’d consider Yoongi gets the most flirty. I’m not shipping them, but if anyone is the married couple in the group, it’s them. I think it has to do with both their personalities being polar opposites on and off camera. On camera Hoseok is the hyped extroverted one and the Yoongi the quite introvert, meanwhile off camera Hoseok becomes calm and prefers to listen more than he speaks, whereas Yoongi becomes hyped and as talkative as can be. As for Taehyung, he’s the person Yoongi would let get away with anything. I think he has the softest spot for Tae and they share similar perspectives when it comes to life (it’s prob why Tae chose Yoongi’s verse over Namjoon’s in Blue & Grey). I also think Yoongi is the person Taheyung often turns to for advice hence why he feels comfortable being so touchy with him. The same goes for Jungkook just not to that extent because I think JK is a lot more closed-off than Taehyung. Yoongi’s soft spot for JK stems from the fact he feels like he practically raised him. It’s not like JK doesn’t make mistakes, he makes a ton and he has his bratty tendencies. However, anyone would be less inclined to criticize their “child”. So in Yoongi’s eyes, JK can “do no wrong”. Finally for Namjoon I think their relationship is purely professional. I highly doubt they do anything personal together outside of music. The only time Yoongi speaks on Namjoon is to applaud his leadership skills, and in turn Namjoon applauds Yoongi’s production skills. It’s tit for tat professional positivity (hence them being the only two members in the group to have collabed with each other more than once: ‘Respect’ and ‘Strange’).
Side note: I also think Seokjin, Hoseok, and Taehyung “baby” Yoongi a lot (not in the infantilization way, don’t put words in my mouth weirdos). But in the “you don’t have to be so guarded when you’re around me, i won’t judge you” type of way. Out of BTS I’d say these four are the least judgmental concerning “genuine human behaviors” hence why Yoongi has taken such a strong liking to them as friends. (hopefully that makes sense because it makes perfect sense in my head).
As for Jimin, I think the two of them were closer in the past but as time goes on they’ve drifted. They could’ve drifted apart for several reasons. Jimin has a lot of insecurities and he expects the other members to shoulder those burdens for him.
Musically, Yoongi likes the tone of Jimin’s voice. If you look at his collabs, you’ll notice Yoongi likes working with artists whose vocal range are within a higher register (IU, Suran, Halsey, Max). Hence their Tony Montana collab stage but they’ve never done anything together musically since then. I don’t think Yoongi and Jimin have a lot in common to begin with. Unlike the other members, I’d say Jimin is the least interested in the “making of music.” Which is a the polar opposite of Yoongi. Jimin also tends to overextend himself for performances, another thing Yoongi probably couldn’t relate to. They also have contrasting personalities, and not in a good way. While Jimin craves the spotlight and attention, Yoongi is content with withdrawing from it. Don’t get me wrong, Yoongi adores his trophies and doesn’t shy away from stacking up new achievements. He prefers to be applauded for his work and impact as opposed to fanservice and vain influence.
It’s also important to note yoonmin tend to always have these bickering moments when the camera is rolling for a “show”, specifically Run BTS. When it’s them behind the scenes or them doing vlives you’ll notice yoongi keeps to himself 9/10. It reminds me of how during the first season of In the Soop, Jimin suggested him and Yoongi should share the same room, but Yoongi quickly shut down that idea by saying he likes to work late and wouldn’t want to disturb anyone. Basically it was yoongi’s way of saying “no dude I don’t want to share a room with you” in the nicest way possible.
In the last BTS merch release with the viewfinders(?), the members each had to describe one another. And Jimin’s description for Yoongi was: “He acts like he doesn’t know/see, but he knows/sees everything.”
The other members let jimin get away with a lot of shit by either laughing it off or changing the subject. Yoongi on the other hand could care less. He’s a straightforward sharpshooter. He doesn’t talk just to talk and is a keen observer. When Yoongi speaks unabashedly, just know he’s put plenty of thought behind his words and he means exactly what he says.

Drama Rating: 7/10
The story revolves around four people: Ra Jun Mo, a veteran variety show PD who has 10 years of experience under his belt but has no notable show under his name whatsoever. Tak Ye Jin, a music show PD who entered the business at the same time as Jun Mo. Initially she was a timid person but as the harsh environment caught up to her, her personality has changed completely to one who doesn’t care what anyone thinks and instead voice out her own thoughts without thinking of the repercussions. Baek Sung Chan is a young rookie PD who can be a promising prosecutor but instead left the field to become part of the broadcasting team due to personal reasons. Cindy, a young top celebrity who has been in the entertainment business for a decade is deemed to be the ice princess of the country because she’s known to be a snotty person who doesn’t like to get close to anyone.
These characters have their own careers and lives to be busy about but because they are in the same company, it’s unavoidable for them to meet. Aside that, they also have their own personal history with each other that interlinked them together. Through these people, the show will give the audience a glimpse of the things that occurs behind the scenes of the entertainment business like work politics, relationships, friendship and love.
The casting was great, however story wise… it was so-so. I think 12 episodes for this drama was a bit too short.
The actors played their characters well, it was surprising to find Kim Soo Hyun going back to his usual character and that is the dorky love stricken type of guy. Then there is IU, who I may say I have taken a keen interest and biased liking due to her previous drama character in “Dream High”. As for Gong Hyo-Jin and Cha Tae-Hyun… these guys are veterans. What more can I say about them except that they have superb skills in acting? All these combined, I was still left hanging all throughout the drama. I have this nagging thought, “This is it? After all those 12 episodes, this is it? Where are the accomplishments?”, I was left unsatisfied and that was a bit sad. It was rather short, they could have added at least 4 or 5 more episodes to give fulfillment to each of the main characters, to their careers and over all life. Setting those aside – I did like the ending, although it felt a bit rushed at least there was closure for the characters, but then again I still wish there were more episodes to elaborate on what happened after. I seriously wanted to see snippets of “2 days and 1 night” but sadly they didn’t show us anything more than what they wanted to.
Over all it was a fun series, nothing dramatic or too funny. It’s all light and entertaining, though it’s not something that entirely left a mark in my drama watching career. I would recommend it to pass the time but not a priority choice for watching. If there are fans on any of the main characters, then I highly suggest this drama – to indulge on the eye candy.

Can you tell us what sexual orientation u think each member of bts has? btw love ur account boo x2
Yeetyeet ((got this ask back like 20 times lmao)) anyways look back to original post which I am too lazy to link but it's not that far down in the bloggy:Seokjin - Gay. Very very gay. Not just because this boi loves pink (a loT)but also because he acts very feminine, like how he stands with his hand on his hip, blowing the kisses, the list goes on (I also feel his voice, yes very sweet, just had a .. gay feel?? Hard to explain) and don't even get me started on how he flirts with the members (JKs nipples ahjddbdj)Yoongi - Bisexual but leaning mostly towards men. Do I.. Do I even have to say... boy has said in many interviews he likes manly women and isn't limited to just one gender.Hoseok - Bisexual. Ha hahjwuwhha. This boy.ooothisboyiswear. Well first of all he had a girlfriend for 2 years before debut so he obviously has feelings for women but he also compliments men a lot ((especially yoongi eheuehh)) but like Jin he has a lot of femenine movements, this might just be because he's a dancer so he's fluid with his movements and shit but eh idk Namjoon - Bisexual. He openly supports LGBT+, reccomends LGBT books and movies, says 'boyfriend or girlfriend' when talking about partners, and is in love with all of the members at the same time ( mostly brotherly love but we see how he looks at Jin and jimin hnn)Jimin - Bisexual but mostly leans towards men. Boi. I'm. Do I really need to say anything about this little minx. He makes everyone fall in love with him be it men or women and he compliments basically everyone so??? A mystery Taehyung - Gay (Maybe bisexual?). The reason I think Tae is gay (ha) is once again the way he moves is very typically gay, he is also into things such as fashion, photography y'know things that are what I call 'tumblr gay' because that's what most gay boys and tumblr are like (That I have saw, don't sue me)Jungkook - Straight (maybe a little bisexual) boy loves jimin and his hyungs. Yes. But. He also loves IU. He also gets very shy and flustered around pretty girls so??cute bunny bisexual boy idkThis is all just my opinion and not really made to offend anyone but I'm sorry lmao I'm not very well educated on sexualities.

I Can Only Imagine Marvelous Things taejin 3,444 words
Taehyung knows Seokjin is worth waiting for.
Written for the BTS Song Fic Challenge Inspired by the song Glasses by IU
"Oh, sweetie! What a good time to run into you, do you have some time to spare?"
Taehyung stops dead in his tracks at the words and turns to see one of his elderly neighbors by the building's entrance. She's wearing a warm smile on her face, which wrinkles her face even further in a way Taehyung always finds endearing, and hanging from her trembling hands are reusable bags overflowing with groceries. He doesn't even need her to go on to know where this is going, asking with a polite smile, "Would you like me to help you carry them up, ajumma?"
"If it's not too much trouble," she says by way of acceptance and, despite the dull ache at the balls of his feet, Taehyung goes back down the steps to take the heavy bags from her frail hands.
The small apartment building they live in is by no means a shabby one, but it is old and relatively inexpensive, which means it doesn't have any other way of reaching the upper floors beyond long, tiring flights of stairs. Naturally, all five ajummas and one very old ajusshi in the block know to count on him when they struggle with anything, and Taehyung's happy to help, even after his day has been long and his legs are heavy from exhaustion. He asks them how they're doing as they work their way up the stairs, asks them if there's anything else he can do for them once they reach their apartment. Sometimes, they even invite him for tea as a way of thanks (and maybe also to stave off loneliness, Taehyung thinks).
"We're so lucky you moved in here," the lady from the third floor says once they're standing in front of her door.
She fumbles with the keys and Taehyung shifts his weight from one foot to the other, his soles protesting. "It's my pleasure."
The door opens and Taehyung makes his way to the kitchen after taking off his shoes, familiar with the apartment's layout. "Should I help you put everything away?" he asks, already emptying out the bags and settling all the vegetables and items on the kitchen counter.
"It's okay, I'll be using them for tonight's dinner. Thank you." Taehyung notes the fresh, expensive ingredients and knows with certainty she'll have guests tonight. Maybe her family, he thinks, hopeful. "Taehyung-ah, would you like to stay for some tea?"
Taehyung shakes his head. "I wouldn't want to get in the way of dinner preparations, it's already late," he says, then after a short pause adds, "Plus, hyung's probably waiting for me."
He doesn't miss the slight frown on her face at his words, disapproving, and Taehyung wonders whether rumors have already started. Seokjin and him moved into the neighborhood only four months ago and as far as everyone in the building knows, and Seokjin works hard to maintain, they are merely two roommates. One a university student, majoring in Korean history, and the other a newly graduated accountant employed in a small firm nearby; both financially fragile enough that it wouldn't seem weird at all if they shared expenses to live in the relative comfort of a small, but overall nice one-bedroom apartment.
"Is something wrong, ajumma?"
Her smile comes back and it seems genuine, hopefully a sign that she's convinced herself that whatever she heard isn't true. "Oh, I'm just greedy and wish you could stay."
Taehyung grins. "Next time," and after a few more pleasantries and small talk leaves the lady behind with her cooking. He's almost forgotten the pain of his feet until he's going down the stairs again, now finally towards the second floor and to his own apartment. He doesn't bother hiding his exhaustion now, plopping down on the entrance floor with a sigh of relief.
"I'm surprised I got home before you. Did the teachers surprise you with a project again?" he hears from behind him, followed by the soft sound of steps coming closer.
"Not really, I actually finished early today," Taehyung says while pulling out his shoes, rolling his ankles and sighing at the feeling, "I just lost my wallet and had to walk all the way home."
"Lost it? How?" Taehyung hears the frown through Seokjin's tone before he turns around and sees it for himself, pulling at pink and plump lips.
"I was pickpocketed," he says easily, his limbs sore and aching as he forces himself back on his feet and slips on the indoor slippers. Taehyung closes the distance between the two of them, wraps his arms around Seokjin's neck and kisses him quick and chaste before adding, as an afterthought, "I think it was an old lady I helped cross the street downtown; she did get a little too close."
Seokjin's frown couldn't get any deeper. "Tae," he says, voice grave, but Taehyung's quick to cut him off with another kiss. Grins at him even though he knows Seokjin hates it.
"Gotta stop trying to help every needy soul I run into and think more about myself, right? Gotcha."
"You sure don't act like you got it," Seokjin grumbles under his breath and Taehyung's smile turns fond at the worry lacing the words.
"I don't see why I shouldn't help if I can. There's no harm in it," he says, letting go to hang his jacket and bookbag before Seokjin could remind him to.
"Except when there is, right?"
It's said in a near whisper, volume low enough that Taehyung is more than likely not meant to hear, but he does and answers without missing a beat, "Well, us mortals can't all be perfect like you, hyung," and even though he means it to be in good nature, intended as a light and harmless jab, Seokjin goes silent. When Taehyung turns back to see, Seokjin's expression is serious and his eyes are downcast, a look he wears sometimes when he thinks Taehyung isn't looking. "Hyung?" he asks and it's all gone before he knows it, Seokjin's usual smug and playful expression back in place.
"Work on it, then," he says, pinching Taehyung's nose before walking past him towards the kitchen. "You're way too good for your own good."
Taehyung stares at his wide back across the kitchen counter and finds himself biting his own lip, teasing at a piece of dry skin and pulling at it with his teeth. Seokjin must think he doesn't catch on to the way he'll go quiet every now and then as he stares at his cellphone. Or the way his smile will falter sometimes as they speak, leaving Taehyung to wonder what it is he said. Or even the way Seokjin will gaze at him every once in a while, when he thinks Taehyung isn't looking, with something akin to guilt in his eyes.
He's not as oblivious as he's sure Seokjin must think him. He's well aware of the little hints here and there suggesting something's wrong, that something's bothering him, but Taehyung can't bring himself to ask just yet. Not while Seokjin makes such an effort to hide it from him, not while he's not ready to come and tell Taehyung by himself.
So he turns a blind eye to those hints, for now at least, and smiles when Seokjin turns to look at him, cautious. It seems to ease him, and Seokjin asks, "What do you feel like eating tonight?"
"Bibimbap!"
"If that's the case, I'll need you to buy the vegetables." Seokjin crouches down and pulls out a sage green bag from one of the kitchen drawers. Stops for a moment, eying him. "Or are you too tried? I can go if you want."
Taehyung whisks it away from his hand, fast. "I'm willing to make sacrifices for food."
"Of course you are," Seokjin says with a roll of his eyes, but there's a smile on his face, genuine and fond. Taehyung can't resist the urge to press their lips together, nibbling at Seokjin's bottom lip before parting. Adding a light pinch to Seokjin's waist just as he scurries away.
It adds normalcy, reassures Taehyung in some way, even though he knows he'll mull, worry, over Seokjin's silences and strange expressions over and over whenever he lets his mind wander.
「愚」
"What were you thinking." Seokjin's voice is stern and his lips are set in a thin line as he rushes to where Taehyung sits in the living room couch, towel covered ice pack in hand. "Climbing up a tree to get a cat?"
The chill both stings and soothes the ache of his shoulder even through the fabric of his shirt and Taehyung closes his eyes at the sensation. "To save her," he corrects, "she's only a kitten and she was stuck, so I went to save her."
There's no need for Taehyung to open his eyes to know the expression on Seokjin's face, to see the exasperation so crystal clear on his handsome face. He hears it well enough as he asks, "And you couldn't call anyone else, like the police or the animal shelter?"
At this, Taehyung sinks in his seat, pouting and staring at his lap, splashes of dirt stuck to his jeans and shirt. Upset with himself; in hindsight, what Seokjin says seems like a better, less dangerous plan, much more reasonable and a voice in the back of his head insists he should've known better. "I didn't think I'd fall."
"I'm not trying to pick a fight with you, Tae," Seokjin says with a sigh, "I just wish you'd think things through more before acting on impulse. I'm worried you'll get yourself hurt one day - really hurt, even worse than today, " and he adds a squeeze to Taehyung's thigh, staring at him in earnest. "Does it hurt? It does look swollen."
"Only when I move my arm. It's not that bad," Taehyung insists.
"I hope you don't think I'm going to let you avoid the doctor like usual," Seokjin says with a raise of a brow, patronizing in the manner a parent would be with a child, the look on his face similar in so many ways to Taehyung's mother.
"Yes?"
Seokjin frowns, unamused. "Taehyung."
"I swear," Taehyung says with a slight chuckle, a hint of a smile playing at his lips, "You dote on me more than my mom."
There it is again, that press of Seokjin's lips, his eyes straying away from Taehyung's in what he can only think is avoidance, even if it's only for a second. Seokjin's always been one to keep to himself, that much Taehyung has already learned after almost two years of dating and six months living together. Talking endlessly about everything and giving away nothing at the same time, somehow avoiding to give personal details about himself and his thoughts - it's what intrigued him at first. Had him chasing after Seokjin until he managed to grow on the older, and even once they got together Taehyung realized that Seokjin would never share as much as he did - and he had come to accept it.
But this, this seems to worry Seokjin. A burden - and all Taehyung wants is for him to lean on him, at least once, if he has a problem. "Is something wrong with your mom, hyung? Is she okay?"
"No, she's fine. Why?" he asks and there's something in his tone that tells Taehyung he doesn't want him to insist.
"It's just - I've noticed something's been bothering you, for a while now. You know you can count on me for anything, right?" and the guilt in Seokjin's eyes as he purses his lips has Taehyung's stomach twisting in worry.
"I know, I know," Seokjin says. Runs a hand through his hair. "But it's something I'd rather spare you with."
"I didn't ask to be spared, you know." It sounds brave to his ears, but Taehyung feels anything but.
A sigh follows and Taehyung knows he's won, braces himself. Seokjin shifts in his seat, tucks his hands over his lap and says, slow and careful, "Do you remember how I... Still haven't told my parents - about us?"
"You said you weren't ready," Taehyung repeats from memory, now sitting rigid in his seat, grip tight on the ice pack he holds to his left shoulder.
"Well, I slipped up. My mom was trying to set up a blind date and now she knows I'm dating but," Seokjin pauses, bottom lip snagged between his teeth so hard Taehyung wonders whether he'd hurt himself. "I'm sorry."
A small whisper is all that it was, so quiet Taehyung thinks he's misheard, holds his breath hoping he did, but the look on Seokjin's face confirms it. As does what he says next, voice faltering. Uneven. "I know it's unfair to you. I have to tell them some day, but I'm still not ready."
Taehyung smiles despite the weird twist of his stomach. Upset, he's upset, he recognizes the feeling and it only makes him more frustrated with himself. "It's okay, hyung," he says, setting down the ice pack on the couch in favor of gripping Seokjin's hand. Lacing their fingers together, squeezing. "I did say I'd wait, right? Until you’re ready."
Seokjin doesn't say anything, holding on to his hand instead. Grip steady, thumb brushing to and fro over Taehyung's knuckles and he guesses it's another apology. Silent but there, a reassurance that Seokjin knows he appreciates, seeks. Taehyung moves to lean against him, sink down in his seat until he can rest his head on Seokjin's chest, and winces, groans, at the pain in his shoulder.
"We need to go to the doctor, your shoulder could be sprained." Taehyung agrees with a slight hum, but doesn't move from the couch yet.
Some time later, Seokjin coerces him to the clinic to get himself checked. Taehyung's mind keeps wandering back to their conversation, to Seokjin's confession, and he berates the part of himself that wishes Seokjin would have taken the opportunity. He's not ready yet, he said, and Taehyung believes him. Without a doubt.
And he'll wait, Taehyung thinks to himself over and over as Seokjin lays a comforting hand on his good shoulder while they wait in the clinic. As he speaks to a nurse right before they leave, asking this and that - how long he has to rest, what painkillers he should take, when he should come back for a check up. Taehyung watches it all with wide eyes, cradling his sling with his good arm.
It's worth the wait.
「愚」
"Ah, Seokjinnie! You're finally home."
Taehyung doesn't recognize the voice, but one look at the middle aged lady waiting in the cold outside the door of their apartment is enough for him to know who she is. Hair cut short and curled to frame her face, her eyes large and almond shaped and her lips small yet plump. The clothes she wears are simple and minimalistic in design but Taehyung knows he's seen them on display in expensive brand stores while window shopping. She adjusts the scarf wrapped around her neck, then tucks a strand of soft brown hair behind her ear as she waits for Seokjin to approach her, warmth clear in her smile and in her gaze. She has no jewelry on, no earrings or bracelets or even rings besides a lone diamond ring decorating her left hand.
It's Seokjin's mom.
The realization has him tense, his feet glued to the ground, and when he looks besides him Seokjin is the same. Taehyung blinks; there's a smile plastered on Seokjin's face now and just as fast he's gone from his side, pacing quickly towards his mom.
"Eomma, what a surprise," he says as he hugs her. Taehyung picks up on a slight edge on his voice suggesting it isn't exactly a good one. "You didn't mention you were coming last time we talked."
"That's because you never invite me over," she says with a playful huff. As Taehyung walks closer to them, he can see her trying to look past Seokjin's shoulders. Eyes searching and searching - and only finding Taehyung in the hall besides them. "I wanted to surprise you. Maybe meet your girlfriend since you don't seem like you'll ever invite me for introductions."
"Well, she's not here today." Taehyung ignores the fact he goes along with the misunderstanding, choosing instead to focus on how Seokjin steps aside and gestures towards him. Changes the subject as soon as he can. "This is my roommate, Taehyung."
"Ah, yes, I remember you talking about him." It's hard not to beam at the words, knowing how Seokjin keeps to himself, but Taehyung thinks he masks it well enough, greeting her as polite and friendly as he always is.
They scurry inside the apartment once Seokjin opens the door, peeling off their coats and scarves and shoes. Seokjin's mom slips on the guest slippers they offer her and follows them the short distance to the living room. Her eyes wander, taking in the small place, and she makes a point of showing her distaste with the twist of her mouth. Taehyung slips into the kitchen with the excuse of making some tea but the apartment is still much too small, no real divisions between the two rooms, and he still hears her anyway, "Do you really need to share the expenses with someone to live in such a small place?"
"I graduated last year, eomma, how much do you expect them to pay me?" Seokjin says with a terse laugh.
"You know." She lowers her voice, then, and Taehyung finds himself trying to listen in despite himself. "You can always come to us if you need money. Or you could come work for your--"
"I still haven't changed my mind," Seokjin says with finality and for a moment the room is silent, before his mom changes the subject.
Taehyung still remembers how surprised he was when he found out Seokjin's background, about his being the second son of a chaebol. There had been hints here and there - his impeccable manners, the prim and clean style of his clothes, that polished accent of his when he speaks English and the occasional anecdote he lets slip of his being in a foreign country - but with how simple and humble Seokjin always is it's easy to think he's merely well off.
A part of Taehyung still swells with pride knowing the rebellious streak Seokjin has in him - leaving behind his family and the comfortable, luxurious life ahead of him in favor of carving out his own path. Moving into college dorms like the rest of them, living simply and almost exclusively on the money he earned on the side as a private tutor. There's the passing thought of wishing Seokjin were as upfront and confident in announcing their relationship to his parents as he once was of taking the reigns of his own life. Taehyung shakes his head, buries the idea deep down; Seokjin is worth the wait, he decided long ago, and he'd hate to hold this against him. Would hate to pressure him when he's not yet ready. Taehyung's better than that, at least he wants to be.
"Have you thought of marrying Taeyoung-ssi?" Taehyung overhears as he leans down to place the tea on the small coffee table of the living room. He shoots a look at Seokjin.
Their eyes meet. Seokjin has a smile playing at his lips, crooked. "I have, actually," and it takes every fiber in Taehyung's being not to gape at him. His heart stuck in his throat, his eyes no doubt open wide.
"Oh, such good news!" Seokjin's mom sets her teacup back on the table with a clatter, sitting straight in her seat. Reaching out to grab at Seokjin's hand with both of her own. "I have to meet her first, but I'm sure if she's gotten to you she must be a lovely person."
"They are. They're the sweetest person you can imagine," and Taehyung feels the tears well up in his eyes at the words, threatening to spill at any moment. He leaves them both in the living room without a word, seeking refuge in the kitchen.
"When will I get to meet her?" She presses on.
"One of these days," Seokjin says in a soft voice, so gentle Taehyung imagines him whispering the words in his ear. "I promise it'll be soon."
Back turned to them, the tears fall down Taehyung's cheek as unrestrained as his happiness. He sniffs as quietly as he can, dabbing at his eyes with a napkin.
Soon. He heard it clear.
If Seokjin promises, then he can be a little more patient.

-       In terms of visuality, I’ve ranked Goblin second because it was really good. In terms of computer graphic effects, even the camera position and lightnings to evoke emotions to the audience were great.
Trivia:
One of the most remarkable scenes to me even to the audience in the Korean drama Goblin is the sword that was stubbed into Kim Shin(Gong Yoo)’s chest, but did you know how that it was made? According to what I have searched online, “the show’s crew said in Saturday’s episode.
To create the illusion of being impaled, Gong was required to wear a suit, crafted by the art team and pasted with pieces of the sword. Computer graphic effects were added later to shroud the sword in green smoke.” – Rumy Doo , https://www.thejakartapost.com
