Random ppl saying Karlach is “conventionally” attractive must live in an alternative reality I’m unaware of.

Is she stunning? Yes. But she does NOT fit into conventionally beauty standards for women (yes, even after her face change from EA).

Say you see a woman of color, way WAY taller than the average - let’s say 1.90m tall. She is visibly bulkier, has thick thighs, prominent abs. Wider shoulders than average.

Then, her skin (which again, isn’t white), is covered in marks. Scars, tattoos, discolorations and other “uneven” tones and textures.

On top of that, her entire right side is covered in ‘hideous’ burnt skin tissue. From her fingers to her ribs and half her chest.

But not all. She has metal pins and bits protruding from her due to some medical procedure you’re not familiar with.

And she might have facial scars too. On her very non-white facial features. Imagine she’s not only Asian - but the “wrong” kind of Asian (aka the darker side of Asia- not the mainstream-approved Japan or Korea). Maybe she’s even from the South Pacific islands.

Her hair is thicker, choppier.

And, beyond her appearance, she curses. She laughs loudly. She doesn’t act demure or quiet or feminine. She’s unapologetic about it, too. Proud of being physically stronger than most.

What an affront.

That is all to say… yes, she is stunning (to me and many of us). She’s especially more stunning BECAUSE she’s so off the scale of conventional beauty for women. You might have lived in a beautiful social bubble where women like Karlach are considered the prettiest there are, but even so, that’s not what the world at large sees as ideal beauty - for any gender, but more so for women.

That’s one of the big reasons I’m so into Karlach (and also why I have always had a soft spot for laezel too). They stick out like a sore thumb but they dgaf.

And to top it all, it’s one extra reason for me to ship the shit out of her and Astarion.

Astarion isn’t the conventional male handsomness but he does fall in a wider category of male beauty. He is the most popular male character and attracts both male and female fans.

I like him to fall for characters that would be considered way off the mainstream beauty scale. One thing I haven’t seen yet and want to do one day is make a half orc character to pair with him. Because fuck yes. And also because for me, Astarion does understand where beauty standards lay, but that lost meaning to him long ago. He’s capable of being petty and shallow but when push comes to shove, that’s not it for him.

Again, another reason as to why I’d think he’d fall head over heels for Karlach despite himself.

But yea. Going back to my point, no matter that WE think Karlach is pretty, cute, beautiful and gorgeous. That’s us being ::cough:: superior. But it doesn’t make her mainstream digestible beauty material (that’s lame shadowheart lol - sorry guys, sh is so boring to me).

Which in turn makes Karlach even more precious to me (and her and Astarion in love even more special 🖤).

Jules posting again because I have massive brainrot of this creature. (Bonus Mica posting!!)

This time it's Headcanons and dynamics I think fit the characters. My girl Mica is underappreciated me thinks, so I'm gonna fix that.

Reminder that these are HEADCANONS! They aren't actually canon to the characters themselves, and this is just information about the character's personality and background that I think fits them. If anyone wants to add theirs, feel free, because I love reading peoples headcanons and comparing notes! :3

Fair warning, the last two of Jules' headcanons are a bit heavier, so trigger warning for SH and dysphoria mentions! There are also Hemophobia and Emetophobia mentions as well

Jules headcanons;

✧ T4T, or just an overall preference for a Trans/Genderqueer partner, pansexual possibly

✧ Has a pronounced accent when he's angry, excited, singing or acting. Like he definitely has one, but it comes out more when he's being expressive if that makes sense

✧ Definitely looks back at his old clothes from his emo phase and almost cringes because of how bad the style he used to dress in. He just fixes everything up with other absolutely ruined clothes and makes them better.

✧ Cleaned and donated his binders for sure! I feel like he'd deep clean them and everything, gives em away to other trans teens/young adults in need

✧ Studed gauges, spiky earrings, just.. out there and absurd jewlery that somehow goes so well with his outfits

✧ Was definitely a cowboy almost every year for Halloween growing up.

✧ Active protester against waste dumping! Very vocal about it too! Even makes awareness posts online and such! Made a GoFundMe to help protect land, especially indigenous land or ranches!!

✧ When he dances, it's not just generic or free style dancing. He's like.. expressing his emotions and soul with it, letting his body move without thinking about it. Like Goth dancing would be, but more expressive and fluid and just overall freeing if that makes sense

✧ Still finds glitter everywhere because he's probably spilled some as a child when doing arts and crafts. They're a very artistic person, me thinks.

✧ Definitely had his nipples tattooed on instead. You can't tell me they wouldn't find a really weird, goth or just overall funky design for a tattoo to replace their nipples after post op healing. Something like a skull, or a cowboy hat.

✧ Loves any kind of animal. Doesn't have a preference. Probably somehow tamed a bearded dragon when they were younger?? And they just. They just had it as a pet for a while. His parents never found out for a while either?? Until he just brought it out like "hey look! This is my new pet!". They also screamed the first time the bearded dragon shot blood at him from it's eyes. (Yes they can do that. Yes it's weird. And yes it's also cool)

✧ Plans on getting tattoos on his surgery scars. Animal skulls or something like that, a mix of alternative/goth and western.

✧ Probably had an unhealthy way of coping with dysphoria. Binded a lot more than he should, stuff like that.

✧ more than likely has a few scars from sh when struggling with self image and dysphoria. He's been clean for years now, and he most likely got tattoos over the scars because they accept that part of them, and they aren't ashamed of it

some Mica headcanons because my girl is swag and deserves some recognition!!

✦ Genderfluid, any pronouns. Doesn't even care if you call her an "it" (probably takes it as a compliment)

✦ Used to be irrationally scared of horses until she met Jules

✦ Hates house parties, only goes for the drinks, food and if Jules is going.

✦ Neurodivergent! Probably has a sleeping disorder too

✦ Has a scorpion belly button piercing. And a scorpion tattoo as well. They're her favorite arachnid

✦ Prefers reptiles or arachnids as a pet, but would totally foster black cats. Most likely pagan/wiccan

✦ didn't talk to Jules for a week because he showed her the bearded dragon defense mechanism. She fainted.

✦ either has the nicest nicknames or the most rancid god awful nicknames for her friends.

✦ Drives a hearse! Decorates it for festive stuff. Also named it (She'd name it something like Salaman or Pamantha just because it'd be funny)

✦ Enjoys costume design! Makes her own clothes from scratch

✦ Supports small businesses/creators/artists. She has a lot of skincare products from indigenous businesses to support them.

tw: mentions of sh + cu++ing

i used to tell myself, back when i used to cu+ constantly, that i would go to college and i could do it as much as i wanted because no one would know. i wouldn’t see my family and they wouldn’t have the chance to catch me. (i got caught a few times). i haven’t done it in college yet which is super surprising, i’m still clean, but i basically found an alternative that gives me the same pain and pretty art on my body.

i mentioned that i got a tattoo gun recently, and i’m actually doing really well with it. but what i like about it is that it basically feels like cu++ing with ink. brings me that pain i loved so much when i used to cu+.

i also get the same feeling i used to get when i would run my fingers across my scars. i have a few on my thigh but tattoos give me the same feeling.

all in all, still haven’t done it but this alternative has helped me a lot.

this is my most recent(i’ve done a lot at this point) and by far the most painful. also the most blO0d. i’m insecure about my stomach (i like putting tattoos in places i’m insecure about) but i do like it and my bf also loves it. can’t wait for it to heal.

The Dirty Air by Lauren Asher

My sister bought me this series for Christmas and I have been so anxious to read it. <3 It even made me interested in watching Formula 1 races. Which, is a rather unfortunate atrocity seeing as my time is already booked with escaping reality through literature. *sigh* What I loved– the angst, the swoon, the character development. I adore the epilogues, too. So so much. What I could have done without– the constant crassness of the men at the beginning of each book (I don’t mind them being assholes but I could do without “fuck” in every line of dialogue and inner thoughts. Honestly it’s my only qualm with Asher’s writing. Sometimes, I read a book or series and think “wow this will be a reread for sure.” However, I had never finished a book and immediately wanted to reread it to annotate it. Until the dirty air series. Brain, meet obsession. There is a direct correlation from how beat up my books look to how much I love them. The chart looks like this.

These books? Absolutely wrecked (heh get it? Because of book thre– okay I’ll stop.

Throttled

Oh my lord. Do you love brother’s rival (enemy?) tropes? How about forbidden romance (see brother’s rival)? Slow Burn? This is the book for you! Noah and Maya are so funny I love them so much. Both of their characters developed so much through this book and it was a joy to read them. I especially how much Maya was able to stand up for herself to Santi. She had as much growing to do as Noah did, which is one of my favorites. I also adored how much of a simp Noah is for Maya. Simps reign supreme in my heart. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Collided

I’m not going to lie, I was really apprehensive about going into Liam and Sophie’s story, even though Collided’s cover was the one that drew me into the series in the first place. Once again we have a forbidden romance between our protagonists, ah how cruel the heart can be. Sophie’s list had me cackling certainly NOT because mine looks ⅔ similar Liam’s prologue was totally unexpected and I can honestly say it hooked me. I did feel that the push and pull between the friendzone and the warring chemistry was a little drawn out. I think this book could have moved 100 pages from that to secret dates or *gasp* emotional bonding. Overall, I did enjoy their story. Sophie is a pure soul. I also really enjoyed seeing the alternative side of the same timeline we experienced in Throttled. James Mitchell is my fave, btw. 10/10 dad. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wrecked Oooh ooh ohh angst from the get go. Thank you thank you thank you Lauren Asher. After meeting Jax in book one, he was the racer I was least excited to read about, but, (butta butta but) he is a curly haired tattooed man with anxiety.What can I say? As my queen and goddess stated, “it’s me, hi, I’m the problem it’s me”

SO, now I’m in. Also, he is SO SO sweet with his Mama I love him. Jax is a scared little puppy waiting for someone to get past his defenses enough to scoop him up and take him home. Once I realized this, my heart melted for him. Elena might be coming for Maya’s spot as my fave fmc in this series. She is so assured and witty. At the ancient age of 26, nearly 27, I found I could relate to Elena’s more mature narration. She is confident, assured, and truly a “do no harm take no sh**” kind of lady. I think I could like her a lot. And don’t get me started on sweet baby Elias. Oh my darling carino. Too pure, must protec. Elena and Jax’s dynamic starts off very strong. Both with zest and fight coursing through them. I love love love their banter. Both of these lil babies are emotionally stunted, which is becoming a trope I wasn’t aware I craved. Their easy volley of clap backs had me smiling so much it hurt. And the character development my GOD the character development with these two was so so good. By the end I was literally sobbing. Was this a fragile week for me? Yes. Do I think I still would have sobbed? Yes. And that epilogue? Heart, meet knife ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Redeemed At this point, I think Lauren Asher sits on her throne of hell writing chair and thinks “hmmm how could I make this prologue more gut wrenching than the last one?” Yes, yes, I hear you. “But Chey! How can (view spoiler) and I HEAR you but also, Santi? SANTI?! I love him. The lead up for this story is both comical and heart wrenching, which makes us all look like jerks for laughing. Chloe has found an ancestry kit to lead her to her long lost dad. Will he be awesome? Will he suck as bad as her mom (almost impossible)? Who knows!?! Coincidentally, her journeys take her to the same town our broken hero Santiago Altorre is residing in. And what do we find Santiago doing? Well, he was just told that Maya and Noah need to watch their son Marko for two weeks because (view spoiler) Angst and comedy leading into the perfect setup for this fake dating trope? *Swoon* Alright, confession time. My favorite tropes are one bed, fake dating, single dad, and accidental pregnancy. I know that last one is wildly unpopular but my god it’s my kryptonite. Santi isn’t a single dad, but taking care of Marko for the two weeks means that he fits the bill, even if only temporarily. And I absolutely adore the friendly banter between them– how much they want to help the other heal. If you like Archer’s Voice, I think you’ll love this book. This book gave me nearly everything that makes my heart sing about romances. Gahh A million stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Apparently, the new Cammy is wearing pants and the internet is having a meltdown about it. I find this sh*t hilarious because that's just one costume. You're a f*cking idiot if you think Capcom won't include the classic looks for their core characters. Like, she literally had two costumes in which she’s wearing pants in SFIV and f*cking four more in SFV! More than that, Capcom will give you a variety to choose from. She had f*cking sixteen costumes in SFV, alone. Are you kidding me? Every iteration of Street Fighter tweaks the costumes and most of them are nice, pants or not. I’m actually a Cammy main. When she first released, i was nine years old and captivated by the blonde with the butt cheeks. I adore that viridian ass floss but I'm not out here having a tantrum that it’s “not” in the game. Because it is. It definitely is. Capcom isn’t dumb enough not to put it in the game. Besides that, have you seen the leaked costumes? They’re dope!

How the f*ck can you look at that Cammy and be upset? She’s just rocking a casual outfit. Ma left the gym in her active attire and decided to Hooligan Combo a motherf*cker on her way home. The leotard is her Delta Red uniform. It makes sense that she doesn’t wear the thing all the time, right? Seriously, almost all of these new costumes make sense in terms of street combat. Gis, tights, yoga pants, sports bras, sweats; This attire is fighter attire. This is the sh*t people in MMA, in boxing, in Judo, karate, and Jujitsu, wear to scrap. Have you ever seen a boxer come to the ring? Have you ever seen a proper Muay Thai donnybrook? The costumes in Street Fighter VI make sense from a grounded, realistic, fighting perspective. Cammy isn’t going to be running around in a lime green leotard all the time, especially now that Shadaloo has been crushed for good. Or, at least, in SFVI vanilla. Who knows where this game falls in the timeline, right? Bison might come back from the dead. Again.

I know the internet isn't a real place and that there is far more important sh*t going on in the world but this nonsense is just too dumb for me to accept. Like, stop it. Just, stop it. Everyone can still be horny for Cammy's butt in that sling thing. We all have been since 1993. Capcom ain't f*cking that up. And as if they felt i would be writing this rant, there is actual leaked footage of Cammy in her classic costume, performing Cross Stinger Assault on another Cammy, rocking the new look. Check that out, Capcom did add the leotard after all! As an alternate costume. Because WHY THE F*CK WOULDN’T THEY?? Cammy White is wildly popular because of that win pose. You know what I'm talking about. Most kids nowadays don’t know that Cammy was dog sh*t when she first released. Over time, she got much better as a character but, in the beginning? She was basically just eye candy. Sex appeal. The butt to Chun-Li’s thighs. Cammy is so much more than that now but, just like Guile’s tank top and camo pants, Ryu’s tattered gi, Vega’s tattoos and mask, or Chun’s cheongsam, her leotard will never go away. Any appearance she makes, them ass cheeks will be out in one form or another. That ass is iconic and Capcom knows it.

Hello! Can I please have a ship, please? Male and female, if possible? (Not Argyle, a little bit too stoned for my taste) I'm Victoria (never liked my name!), long brown hair, brown eyes. Tall for a woman - 5'8" and glasses. I tend to dress casual but always with an alternative vibe, be it rocker, goth or punk. Currently have 3 tattoos but plan on adding more. Struggled with SH for a long time so scars (still visible but fades) cover most of my arms and a part of my thighs.

My favorite color is black (and so if about 90 percent of my clothes), I have 4 cats that are my babies, I need to read like I need to breathe. I love horror movies and rock music. I trained ju-jutsu when I was younger and advanced to green belt. Nowadays I do kickboxing and yoga to keep in shape.

I have a quite sassy and sarcastic personality but deep down I'm also a hopeless romantic, truly believing in the 'love conquers all' quote and soulmates.
