Covering the Silage clamp 💪 💨 First cut silage complete! For my non-farming followers, cattle farmers grow and harvest grass in spring/ summer when grass growth is at its peak. We then store it in clamps or round bales and feed during the winter months when the grass no longer grows. 2 years ago we invested in silage mats instead of using old tyres. Every use we make of the bodies and the lives of individuals of other species – whatever their species - is a deliberate choice to harm them. Cases of lameness are common in dairy cows due to unnatural and inappropriate living conditions, still this vision is quite perplexing. Some suspect the cows were purposely injured to prevent them from wandering too far. When asked why the cows are limping the farmer casually replies that they are going to be sent to slaughter anyway.
