So this may be just a quick food trend or another hipster fad, but for me the turmeric latte has made its way quickly in to my repertoire and will definitely be staying. It’s soothing, creamy and good for you! I’ve started bringing it to evening shifts as it stops me snacking and keeps me going without having to drink caffeine. The recipe is so easy and I recommend everyone tries it. It also makes a great instagram photo so why wouldn't you?
easy turmeric latte.
300ml plant based milk - i use soya because it foams well
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste
1 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp agave nectar
1 tsp cinnamon
1. In a small pan, on a medium heat, add 300ml of your plant milk. Add your turmeric, vanilla bean and nutmeg, let this heat to a simmer whilst slowly whisking.
2. Once the milk has heated and is beginning to froth, add to a blender - i use my nutribullet but I imagine any would do; this is where you add the rest of your ingredients. Blend for around 20 seconds or until nice and frothy and well combined.
3. Pour in to your favourite mug and enjoy.
