The reason Gumball's human name is Gary instead of a B name like Bonnibel is because PB's name comes from the alliteration play of her title starting with a B, so it wouldn't make sense to start Gumball's (PG's) alternative name with B since his title was not Prince Bubblegum. 🤓
Tumblr media
Also this feels like a silly coincidence, but I guess we all technically win by paradox.

So I watched Fiona And Cake and I'm hooked...
First episode:
I love how it started with all the colors and how it felt! The voice acting was spot on and it felt surreal with the pastel theme.
"I don't wanna go to work......" Relatable... Especially since my school will start soon...
The way Cake is acting really true actually! Minus the ice... Also when cats ears and nose are cold that means they are healthy! If their hot then that means the cat is sick.
I honestly did not know Fionna's job was a thing....
When I saw Marshall Lee I screamed. I live for his DESIGN! And his personality.
Love Fern's hair. That's all I have to say.
Man Fionna's Boss is short I thought they were a kid.
Love Fionna's reaction from getting fired...And how she technically flipped of her now old boss.
PRINCE GUMBALL or should I say Gary...
Gary's so adorable! I would love to try the cookies he made! They look delicious and sweet and the latté there!
Fuck Gary's boss! He don't deserve to work with that short ass dwarf (No offense to anyone who's short) he deserves better!
When Marshall started singing I was just amazed by the voice acting again! Like such voice is amazing for him!
Oh the poor coffee...
Aw! Marshall likes the cookies! I hope he meets Gary some episode!
I don't trust this version of Lumpy space princess...
I LOVE HUNTER! They are so gentle and nice! I get a bit of gender enby vibes from them.
I LOVED THIS EPISODE!♥️
Below is the next episode review cause this is getting a bit long and cause I explore a few dark topics.
Second Episode:
I missed Simon so much!
I don't like how he's basically a human attraction to the citizens. I just don't feel comfortable with that cause of anxiety and I don't like getting asked questions in general.
I personally think that kid should've just left Simon alone and not talk about his past to HIS ENTIRE FAMILY!
I do think what's interesting about the trauma of Simon is that he's so traumatized from his past as the "Ice King" to the point he can't look at ice without freaking out. It's like soldiers who have been in wars and are so traumatized by loud sounds to the point they just at times attack.
I like Finn's new design! It matches well with now personality.
And I like how TV (One of Jake's kids) is with him.
So wait Jake's DEAD!?
Blindfolded into a forest... What could go wrong?
I really love the forest layout cause of colorful and bright it is! It blends in with the vibe it's going for.
I was at first like "Woah there's blood!" When Jake killed the fish but then it made sense cause Adventure Time came out year's ago and they now they're audience has grown since then so it makes sense.
I would love to hear more stories from before Simon was the Ice King.
"SUCK ON THESE NUTS!" YES!!
More things that I noticed about Simon when he was fighting the bear thing is that he's not a fighter, he's not violent, he's just trying to fit in the best he can but even he can't cause of how people keep reminding him about his past as the Ice King.
I know what Finn did was irresponsible cause he just blindfolded Simon and led him into a forest but let me explain. He's lost Jake. And when Jake dies he was probably and most likely devastated since he lost the only person he was mostly close to a that was like a brother to him. That's his way of coping with stuff! But he doesn't know alot about Simon so he tried to do the one thing that helped HIM! He tried.
I was so HAPPY to see Marceline and Bubblegum again!
I find it very funny that Bubblegum's skin sticks to the tattoo gun.
Love Marceline's new hair cut as well.
I just Simon to be happy with his wife! Is that to much to ask!?😭
Also I think I catched a Steven universe reference when Cake came out Simon's hair.
This episode was heavy and full of emotion to unpack and I think I like that!
I love the series so far and hope more of it soon!
Also I'M BACK!

The Heroic Quest of the Valiant Prince Ivandoe is so darn good!!!
Tumblr media
It's a shame that the overseas release of this show (which, yes, is from the Gumball staff) has been such a hot mess because it is such a fun time even just two episodes in! It has such a fun cast of characters between the main duo (WE MUST STAN BERT!) and the many one-off characters, the humor is absolutely hilarious, and there's a genuine heart and intrigue to the show and it's world that make it that much more of a great adventure! (Seriously, the second episode made me emotionally invested in the well-being of a giant chicken monster. What have the people at this studio been on for the past 12½ years and where can I find it?) The best way I can describe it is that it feels like just tiny drops of Gumball's tone and 2D character design style (which should be obvious), Monty Python and the Holy Grail's spoofing of fantasy tropes, and even Over the Garden Wall's variety in settings (okay, maybe not much like that last one at all in any other way, but I digress). Such a great start for a show that I will definitely be keeping track of, even if I wish it didn't air new episodes so freaking early. (Seriously, does Cartoon Network even want to have a hit show anymore?)
In fact, the weird and sad thing about CN being at death's door and having so few new shows is that the ones I have gotten off my lazy butt to see have still been so good, between this and Unicorn: Warriors Eternal (I know it was slapped onto adult swim at the 11th hour, but that's a CN show and you won't convince me otherwise, although I'm kinda glad [as] is taking it in if for no other reason than them not being allergic to Blu-Rays and decent scheduling). Admittedly Zaslav being Zaslav does worry me about both shows' futures, but hey, Unicorn at least has the armor of technically being aired as a show on the seemingly safer [adult swim] and the credentials of a legendary creator who wants to do three more seasons, while Ivandoe is apparently already at like Season 3 or something in Italy so at least I already know there's plenty more to come. Regardless of studio locations (or countries) and the company's fragile state, there's still magic left in Cartoon Network, and I really hope these two great shows are not the last we see of it.
Anyways check out new episodes Saturday mornings at 9 ET on Cartoon Network! Considering how good this show is and how bad CN is at marketing it, I have no shame playing the shill here.
Also apparently if an ex-animator is to be believed, Gumball Season 7 is coming out mid-to-late 2024 while the movie is on hold and I have no clue what to think. The way they'll handle that cliffhanger has just looked muddier by the day since it aired, but hopefully the show itself will still be as good we expected because wow I've missed peak Gumball! (Bonus points if it's actually as good as Seasons 2, 3, and suprisingly 6, instead of the kinda disappointing Seasons 4 and 5 although that's all a rabbit hole for another day.)

Adventure Time x Reader: Relationship Headcanons
Finn the human:
Sweet boy
Would try to bring you the shiniest treasures he finds in his adventures
Whenever you visit Finn at the tree house, Jake would tease you two which makes Finn blush in embarrassment.
He’s a bit wary about letting you tag on adventures but if you manage to convince him, you’re bound to have him protect you at all times.
You two bond by playing video games for countless hours.
If you pull him by the hat to give him a kiss he’ll become a flustered mess.
You’re usually the one to patch him up after a rough adventure.
Fern the Human:
Emotional support plant boy™
He sometimes has a hard time expressing his emotions towards you
But he makes sure to express them with little gestures, like giving you flowers every so often.
He once tried to go further by giving you the head of some really tough monster (which almost gave you a heart attack) but you reassure him flowers are enough.
There are times where you could just lay his head on your lap at the grasslands as you two look at the clouds.
Fern likes to bond with you by just being in your presence, like you could be doing your own thing and Fern is just watching or helping you.
When he’s having a bad moment you just hug him tight and whisper sweet things about him for hours.
Marshall Lee:
Playful and just a chill dude in general.
He creates songs for you when you’re not around, even if it’s just a small melody or a few lyrics, he dedicates time to them to make them unique from one another.
Marshall compliments you when need so you know how much he loves you.
You go to every concert of his to show your support, even if it’s just at a small party.
There are a few ways you two bond, either by pranking people at night or just chilling at his place by watching movies in your pijamas.
There are moments where other girls start flirting with him after a concert, sure this make you somewhat jealous but he make sure to remind you he’s yours (but he finds it amusing you get jealous in the first place)
Sometimes he’s a huge tease.
You two visit his mom in the Nightosphere in the weekends, she goes on about how cute you two are and talks to you a few things about him when he was smaller (much to Marshall’s disdain lol)
Prince Gumball:
A busy guy although he makes sure to make time for you.
You like to help him whenever he’s baking or one of his science creations.
Actually, he sometimes gets nervous when you enter his lab so he makes sure you wear all the protective gear. But it just makes you the best lab partner.
He bakes a few desserts for you before you leave, he knows your favorites by heart.
When you and Gumball do have time for each other, he takes you out to have picnics at places he considers interesting.
He’s a huge nerd, when he gets really interested in a topic he like he won’t stop rambling- but you listen nevertheless because you love seeing him being passionate about something.
When you’re in front of the candy people you call him by his title but when you two are alone you call him by his first name.
Flame Prince:
A reserved guy
You two meet when his fire lion started eating/burning your things in the outdoors one day.
Ever since then he tried to make up for you but you told him it was fine.
You technically can’t pet the lions but you like to admire them when Flame prince pets them from a safe distance.
He keeps a lot to himself but he does try to open up to you.
You sometimes bond by reading stories to him.
Flame prince is somewhat touch starved since he just wants to hug and kiss you, but he’s also very cautious about himself when you’re around cause hes worried about hurting you.
When you started dating him you two were only able to kiss about 3 times, he refused to kiss you after the third one cause it pained him to see you get burnt.
It took a few months for you to learn that one fire proof spell, the hard work finally paid off when you hugged Flame Prince for the first time.

The Other Ships in My Fleet
So, I’ve already made a post talking about how I feel about certain ships in My Hero Academia, and another post about some of my other fandoms. Both posts got a lot of likes and reblogs, so I figured I’d talk about my ships from other fandoms. If this post also gets a lot of positive feedback, I’ll consider starting a second page to post my fan content for all of my fandoms, while still maintaining this one almost exclusively for My Hero Academia and Kiribaku specifically.
Tumblr media
Klance (Keith x Lance) Voltron: Legendary Defender
I’m fully aware that this ship is probably not going to happen, but it’s really the only ship in the series that speaks to me. I will not lie, I am a big fan of dark and moody dating happy-go-lucky, and the rivals to friends to lovers element is just icing on the cake. It’s only further helped by Lance being Keith’s second-in-command. They help each other grow, and the trust that forms between them is cute and endearing. They also shared a major element to their characters. Both of them feel out of place, Keith because of his Galra heritage, and Lance because he doesn’t have a niche role.
Tumblr media
Rabies/Rae x BB (Raven x Beast Boy) Teen Titans (2003)
While there wasn’t a lot of shipping fodder for these two in the 2003 iteration, the two are a canon couple in most versions of the teen titans, having been married in the comics (more than once, I think) so this is sort of a unique ship in that I ship it across every version of the two characters. Sporting a snarky moody goth and a lovable goofball, their dynamic was like that of an old married couple, or a moody teenager and her annoying little brother. Still, the two were good friends, and even though their personalities were polar opposites of each other, they had a lot of quiet, emotional moments together in the series. Whether you want to read them as friends or potential lovers, I think it’s hard to deny that there was a genuinely nice bond between the pair.
Tumblr media
Garnet/Rupphire (Ruby x Sapphire) Steven Universe
As the show’s literal physical manifestation of love and a perfect relationship, it’s hard not to like the relationship between these two adorable lesbians. With the show sometimes being edited to remove the queer elements, it’s absolutely hysterical that they had the two get married in an episode very important to the plot, and put Ruby in the dress so that absolutely nobody could misinterpret her as a male. Editing it would only confuse viewers as to why everybody is in wedding attire, thus taking a very satisfying stance against censors and bigotry. Garnet also marks a first in children’s programming as the first same-sex wedding in a children’s animated show, at least as far as I’m aware.
Tumblr media
Pearl x Mystery Girl Steven Unieverse
Although only featured in a single episode and having no dialogue, Mystery Girl (possibly named Sabina) is a very important element to Pearl’s character, being her first step toward moving on from Rose Quartz. There were fans that hoped that Mystery Girl would come back, but even if she doesn’t, she’s still important to Pearl’s character development.
Tumblr media
Amedot (Amethyst x Peridot) Steven Universe
I know a lot of people prefer Lapidot, but frankly I find Lapis too selfish and cold-hearted to be ready for a relationship as she currently stands. I find Amethyst to be a better fit for Peridot, since they both share issues with their height. That, and the way the show frames them has romantic comedy tropes interwoven into their scenes. But even if they’re just friends, Amethyst’s approval means so much to Peridot.
Tumblr media
Stevonnie (Steven Universe x Connie Maheswaren) Steven Universe
I’m not usually a fan of lead boy dates lead girl ships, as they tend to be very poorly done, and many feel forced, or are just boring and predictable. However, the bond between these two feels very genuine. They don’t feel like a lead boy and lead girl forced into a relationship at all. They come together very naturally, and the show takes its time to build their friendship up slowly. The show remembers that they’re kids first, friends second, jam buds third, and love interests last.
Tumblr media
Tomstar (Tom Lucitor x Star Butterfly) Star Vs the Forces of Evil
Considering the show’s themes of monsters, racism, and not judging evil at face value, this ship serves as the most thematically poignant to the narrative that the show is setting up. It also makes Star a stronger parallel to her “evil” great great something grandmother, Eclipsa. Both are monster sympathizers with monster boyfriends. While the blood moon bonds complicate things, I see this ship as the most relevant to the themes and messages the show seems to want to send.
Tumblr media
Tomco (Tom Lucitor x Marco Diaz) Star Vs the Forces of Evil
More of a joke/crack ship, I know it’s unlikely, but the entire episode of Friendenemies had romantic comedy written all over it. Between the literal in-universe break-up song to the show’s promotional art being inspired by dime store pulp romance novels fuel the fire that keeps this ship afloat.
Tumblr media
Bumblebee/Bumbleby (Blake Belladonna x Yang Xiao Long) RWBY
Partners, teammates, and close friends, the ship really took off starting in season 2 during the episode “Burning the Candle”, as Blake spiraled into self-destructive habits due to obsessing over her problems. Nobody is able to get through to her until Yang comes in to talk to her. She doesn’t lecture her or beg her to stop. She instead forms a bridge of trust by first opening up about a similar situation she’s been in, and how she knows first hand that this sort of spiraling can only have negative impacts. They are shown to be parallels, as both girls are negatively effected by a loved one no longer in their life, and the trust issues that spring from that loved one’s actions. Yang was abandoned by her mother, a problem which she mentions Blake repeated. For Blake, it was the uncertainty of trusting someone’s character, and being afraid of someone slowly turning into someone else. She explicitly states in season 3 that her ex started off a nice guy, like Yang. The first time he hurt someone, there was a reason. There was always an excuse. Until eventually, she became the pardoner. The one excusing his actions. And, she expresses the fear that Yang could be following a similar path. Both girls have been hurt by someone in the past, and both girls are afraid of being hurt the same way again, and inadvertently hurt each other the same way as someone else has. It’s also known that RWBY characters tend to represent or be based on fairy tale characters. Yang is Goldilocks, and Blake is Beauty from Beauty and the Beast. However, based on the lyrics from Red Like Roses “Black the Beast descends from shadows, Yellow Beauty burns gold”, there seems to be an implication that Yang is the Beauty to Blake’s Beast. This is interestingly supported by Blake’s name. Blake is a Celtic name meaning both Black and White, and Belladonna literally means Beautiful Woman in Italian, but is also the name of a very poisonous plant often mistaken for the harmless blueberry. The duality of her name could be pointing to how she plays the dual role of both Beauty and Beast.
Tumblr media
Seamonkeys (Sun Wukong x Neptune Vasilias) RWBY
A bit more of a crack ship, these two lovable idiots are far less likely to be canon, but since Sun is Yang’s main competition for Blake’s heart, I have no problem shipping him off elsewhere with his goofy best friend. Although they act more like usual best friends in the canon show, their relationship does have a much gayer tone in the less canon comedy show RWBY Chibi, where Neptune almost seems to act like a jealous clingy girlfriend a lot of the times. I doubt the ship would ever sail, but I mostly ship it because they’re cute together. Although, with season 6 just starting, I got the vibe that Sun was stepping aside to let Bumblebee sail uninhibited. Sun doesn’t really have a third popular ship, it’s just Black Sun and Seamonkeys, so this ship may be gaining validity in the future.
Tumblr media
Gumlee (Marshall Lee x Prince Gumball) Adventure Time with Fiona and Cake
The male counterpart to Bubbline (Princess Bubblegum x Marceline), there’s no real difference between the two pairs other than their genders, and Gumball preferring baking while Bubblegum prefers science. Because they are effectively just gender-swapped clones of the canon ship, anything canonical between the girls is also technically canon with these two. It’s not that I don’t like Bubbline, but when given the choice between gay or lesbian versions of a couple, I’m going to be naturally inclined to lean toward the gay version.
Tumblr media
Sasunaru/Narusasu (Sasuke Uchiha x Naruto Uzumaki) Naruto
Maybe there’s a cultural aspect I’m unaware of, but it’s a bit of a running gag in the Naruto fanbase at this point that Naruto is obsessed with Sasuke. So much so that he seems to care about him way beyond normal friendship. With how much these two obsess over one another, it’s no surprise why this became such a popular pairing. Their dynamic even dwarfed Hinata’s heartfelt confession of her love during the Pain Invasion Arc, because as soon as that ended, did Naruto go talk to Hinata? No, he immediately started thinking about Sasuke. Hinata definitely got the shaft in part II, which is a shame because I really loved her character.
Tumblr media
Bob and Linda Belcher Bob’s Burgers
More of an honorable mention than a full on ship, I wanted to highlight them as one of adult animation’s only married couples that actually still like each other. In the wake of the popularity of the Simpsons, and the cementing of the genre with Family Guy, the stock dynamic of idiot husband and enraged but supportive wife became a recurring trope. Before long, every single animated sitcom-esque family fell into this very annoying cliche. So, finding a couple in adult animation that are not only married but still manage to show they love each other is amazing. Their marriage isn’t on the rocks, they find time to at least try and be romantic, and even when they have bets or are on opposing sides of something, the show never forgets that these two love each other at the end of the day.
Tumblr media
Captain Swan (Killian “Hook” Jones x Emma Swan) Once Upon A Time
This relationship between Captain Hook and the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming might sound odd on paper, but this couple is by far one of the healthiest relationships in the series. Both Hook and Emma come from broken lives, and together build themselves up to something stronger. In a melodrama surrounding fairy tales, both characters are surprisingly grounded, realistic, and skeptical cynics, a very stark contrast from the usual wide-eyed lovey-dovey couples Disney is known for. Emma’s tendency to put up walls and Killian’s tendency to always put himself first are both slowly broken down over time as Killian tries to tear down Emma’s walls and get to know her while she works on building a foundation of trust between them. The pairing feels very organic, and they definitely feel like the most realistic couple in the series as they both take turns stumbling and working toward being good for each other.
Tumblr media
Rumbelle (Rumplestiltskin x Belle) Once Upon A Time
In the early seasons, this couple was beautiful to watch. I truly loved their chemistry and dynamic, as both of them were given such strong characteristics without simplifying either of them. However, as the show went on, it started to lose that power. The couple started to feel toxic as Belle kept waiting for Rumple to change, and he kept on lying and lying. It even reached a stopping point. A perfect one. Rumple was redeemed. He was a good man again. He could be the man Belle deserved. But instead, he slipped right back into his old ways. It was then that I fell off the band wagon for this ship. I loved it once, until I got sick of watching him hurt her over and over.
Tumblr media
Daenerys Targaryen x Khal Drogo Game of Thrones
Although together only for a short while, this power couple won audiences over very quickly, as Drogo’s gruff but passionate affection mixed with Danny’s growing confidence and rise to power made these two iconic.
Tumblr media
Renly Baratheon x Ser Loras Tyrell Game of Thrones
Another short-lived relationship, the remarkable thing is that Renly was literally the only character vying for the throne with fully good intentions for the realm. He was concerned with the needs of the people, and was the only morally good candidate in the War of Five Kings. Sadly, the ydidn’t get much screen time, but they were still a strong couple.
Tumblr media
Peraltiago (Jake Peralta x Amy Santiago) Brooklyn 99
A rare exception to the don’t force the leads to date rule, the show let them form a bond over time that went from a friendly childish rivalry to a friendly dating rivalry. While each character experiences change and growth, it is not at the expense of their personalities, and the progression feels like it was meant to happen.

Failure (is not possible)
Title: Failure (is not possible) Author: Esculent Evil Fandom: Adventure Time (gender-bent version) Synopsis: Marshall Lee, a few months into their relationship, glimpses the truth behind Gumball’s perfect mask. OR: Bubba Loo finally trusts his partner after dating him for a few months. Rating: Teen Character(s): Gumball, Marshall Lee Pairing(s): Gumlee Warning(s): Marshall Lee’s mouth/mind. Note(s): The title won’t make sense until the end; but, trust me, it’s not wrongly named; additionally: this is technically a gift-fic for @saraga-arts because 1) his head canon for Gumball’s perfectionism inspired me to pay attention to my own, and 2) his frequent positive comments and conversations encourage me a lot.
There's a hand on his ass.
It's slender but large and probably very warm (Not that I would know.); however, it's the shock of sword-wielding calluses and old cooking-wounds on soft gum skin that really tells him who is touching him. He sighs almost contentedly once the synapses go off in his undead brain. He curls down into the body suddenly below him (When the fuck did this guy get so good at not waking me? … Better question: when the fuck did I start trusting Gumbutt this much?) and mindlessly purrs as he tries to fully wake up.
Dusk is coming.
Its eerie silence settles deeply into the minds and hearts of everybody near them (As time zones are still a thing up here.); but it also settles into Marshall Lee's sensitive ears. The special demon-vampire limbs twitch almost violently as the sounds of sleepy Candy Citizens calling it a night start to close up their shops, lock their doors, calm their children down, perform their last minute cleanups, and climb into bed. Each sound echos temporarily inside the eternally young king's ear, seeming almost jarring to the teal-skinned being. He doesn't complain, though: they'll all be silent beyond snoring soon enough.
(Ugh, and so will he.)
A bit putout at this thought, Marshall Lee stubbornly forces his rust-red eyes to open and his brain to resume full function so that he can spend at least a few minutes with his partner before he inevitably passes out on him. However, even as he curses their drastically different circadian rhythm, he finds that his desperation pales in comparison to Bubba Loo's own. The younger male is staring down his button nose at him with dark—almost angry—cobalt eyes and a tense—perhaps frustrated—frown. He looks upset.
(Wait, what??)
Bubba Loo Gumball is, as his boyfriend likes to joke, a candy robot: literally downloading and storing all information given to him, never failing to be right where he's supposed to be, always smiling and working and being fucking perfect; Prince Gumball does not frown, get angry, mess up, or fail; the Prince of the Candy Kingdom is always prime and proper. Never, in all the years that Marshall Lee has known him, have his companion's eyes gotten that dark. Never, as far back as Marshall Lee can remember, have those precious lips done anything but smile.
For now, that is.
Years later, Marshall Lee will look back on this moment and know the truth: Gumball isn't actually perfect; he isn't really a robot, either. He gets sad and hurt and feels pain just like anyone else; he cries and screams and rages when he has to; he even bites and cums and fucks the afterlife out of his demon-vampire mate. And he will be able to do all of this in the privacy of their room where he can only be seen by the eyes of Marshall Lee: his sanctuary.
But that is later; much later.
For now, Marshall Lee still sees the pink doll he watched grow up into pristine puppet; he still sees the perfect veneer Bubba Loo projects. And, because he still struggles to see past this palatable illusion, he almost brings his budding other-half to tears: “Dude... what the hell is wrong...?” The words with you are never spoken—or even thought—but they are all the younger male hears punctuating that sentence.
He looks away.
Confused and uncertain, as he has never really seen the candy prince like this before, the dark king blinks and lifts himself up onto his elbows. He doesn't float, having come to enjoy the bodily contact they've somehow established while he was asleep too much to let it go; but, he doesn't keep all of his body pressed against his lover, either. The reason for this is rather simple: he doesn't like being too close to things he doesn't understand.
Likewise, the reason for him not just floating away is simple, too: he's in love with this huffy bastard.
Sighing to himself, Marshall Lee attempts once again to discern the strange expression on his partner's face. It's hard, though. Gumball is no longer facing him completely; his expression isn't just halfed but shadowed in the night's darkness; and everything about it—from the furrowed brows to the trembling lips—just looks so alien.
(… I'd probably be able to figure it out and fix it if it were Fi'...)
No wonder people thought he liked her. Miffed at this, he almost misses the glossy sheen of his lover's gummy eyes—almost. Alarmed, Marshall Lee sits up, literally straddling the younger royal's rib-cage, and takes the boy's face between his palms. For a moment, he's reminded of just how much younger this child is than him (After all, it's just my bite that's a thousand years old1...); of how much pain he isn't used to suffering; of how fragile he can actually be.
(When he's allowed to be... Oh...)
Finally realizing part of the problem, Marshall Lee blinks down at wet cobalts with surprised eyes; before promptly pulling away and glancing around. He shouldn't be doing this. This should be Peppermint. (That mad maid always knows how to … take care of Bubba Loo! 'The hell is she?!) Heck: it should be that freak of a horse!
But it's not: (It's me...)
Steeling himself, the demonic-vampire swallows thickly and returns his gaze to his beloved's. Gumball isn't looking at him, however: instead, his eyes are boring a hole into the wall. (That... can't be good...) Nervous, now, Marshall Lee slowly leans forward and reclaims the younger male's face. He turns it back to facing his own before quietly asking, “Do you wanna talk 'bout it?”
Bubba Loo just stares at him.
Then, slowly, his eyes drop to the dark king's attire. A thick, bubblegum brow rises silently as cobalt blue eyes take in the demon-vampire before them: wide-eyed, nervous, worried, nearly naked, and wearing... Bubba Loo finally locks eyes with his partner again, “... Are you... wearing my clothes?”
Marshall Lee blushes furiously.
He sputters momentarily before pulling back his hands and crossing them over his chest—his pink-clad chest, “S-so?! You weren't wearing them!” The clothes in question are, of course, a pale pink button-up shirt at least two sizes too big for the smaller male and a pair of Bubba Loo's cyan undershorts. The cloth of the later object, Bubba Loo obviously notices with amusement, thins slightly as it stretches over a larger posterior than it is accustomed—not that the teal flesh is easy to spot, of course; what, with the similar coloring. It wasn't easy to touch, either (But he still tried... Secret Pervert...).
“No...” Bubba quietly agrees, “No, I wasn't...”
A tense and awkward silence reigns between them, briefly, before Marshall manages to calm down enough to settle back onto his partner's stomach. He fiddles with the pearly buttons of the taller male's shirt before finally speaking again; this time, his tone is soft, like it was before, “What got you so upset, Bubba?”
The candy prince almost snaps at the other to be silent.
Instead, he sighs heavily and lays back down completely. Marshall Lee remains sitting on him, eyes focused and gaze determined. Bubba Loo usually enjoys this—this pure, unbridled attention—from Marshall Lee especially; but, tonight... He sighs again, “... I...” He tries to say it, the struggle is obvious, but—equally obvious—he decides against it, “I'm sorry I was so busy today. I just...”
He frowns, squints as though trying to see something more easily, and then appears to literally quit hiding.
“There were so many problems to cover today! I've been in and out of meetings all day! I had to eat lunch while discussing—and then everyone had different opinions, different needs, different desires; and all for the right reasons! But—!” He suddenly cuts himself off and glares cold gummy heat at the wall so he doesn't scare Marshall Lee. He's trembling, though, with angry energy—that strange kind of rage that's bitter with self-hate—and aforementioned demon-vampire can't help but worry. He considers reaching out, holding a hand or something, but Bubba's already spitting out the rest of his fury, “No matter what they wanted, all of it kept clashing—and when that happens, I'm stuck not only listening to all of them but forced to choose:
“Who is right, who is justified, who is more important!”
His rage seethes into disgust—at himself, Marshall Lee realizes—as his hands, one of which was once on the demonic-vampire's behind, form fists at his sides. The dark king stares at him, momentarily immobilized, and wonders what to do. Again: this should be Peppermint Maid or Monochromicorn—not him. (But it is me; and we're... we're dating. I... There must be something...) Trying to reign in his emotional flailing, Marshall Lee almost misses it—almost:
“... I've failed everybody...”
And just like that, he knows what to do. The answer seems stupidly obvious, actually. Shaking his head—mostly at himself—he silently denies Gumball's claim. His hands find Bubba Loo's fists as his lips find the younger male's frown.
He then puts voice to his head shake:
“What're you talking about, you stupid genius? You haven't failed me.”
Footnote:
1 Head canon; feel free to ignore it: it's not really important here.

saraga-arts replied to your post: Send Me a Character
Marshall
Gumball
thanks for asking! I’ll base my answer on the she for the first impression thing bc why not it gets confusing with show/comics/online otherwise. I’ll start with Marshall Lee:
First impression: why tf is he green that’s not what his color should be I hate it
Impression now: I’m really glad we saw his “softer side” onscreen in 5ST bc I really liked that sbt him in the comics
Favorite moment: I don’t really have one? but hmmmm probably the graveyard sequence in Bad Little Boy bc that was cool animation wise?
Idea for a story: him and PG hang out like they do in the comics
Unpopular opinion: lmfao he’s super overrated imho
Favorite relationship: romance wise obviously PG, and I really enjoy him 100% platonically with Fionna, but I’m too scared for it to be mistaken for fi//o/l/e/e to really draw for that
Favorite headcanon: my fav headcanon (actually a sweet guy who just loves posing as bad) was proven canon in 5ST so? I love drawing him with nail polish so much that I forget it’s not actually canon at times. also he’s really really gay which is barely a headcanon bc it’s canon
Prince Gumball:
First impression: Nice voice and nice eyebrows I can get behind that
Impression now: one of my biggest comfort characters I love him so much he makes my day better
Favorite moment: all of them? idk if that counts bc it was technically IQ but I really love his song in Fionna And Cake, but if we’re going strictly for Gumball being his actual self I’ll go with. him desperately trying to beat his butler at that game? also when he got that bucket in his face that was hilarious
Idea for a story: him hanigng out with Marshall Lee in a nice way. like in the comics. (can you tell I really want that lmfao)
Unpopular opinion: the way the fandom (and especially specifically the gumlee fandom) portrays him is bad and I really dislike it
Favorite relationship: Gumlee obviously!!
Favorite headcanon: he loves baking but he doesn’t really care abt eating what he makes which is why he is often seen handing out cupcakes to whoever walks by

@saraga-arts I’m answering all yours in one post I hope that’s cool!!
Flame Prince x Fionna:
6 = Nice ship, I ship it but as a side ship to other ships.
I used to ship it more when the Fionna and Cake comics first appeared but my interest really dropped after Five Short Tables haha
Selfcest:
2 = Don’t see it, Don’t care about it, Don’t know it.
I really really don’t understand the appeal of shipping a character with themself? those are all very boring ships imho there’s no kind of dynamic whatsoever
Ice King x Finn:
1 = NOTP, Disgusting.
??? People ship that??? I’d like to give this an honorary 0. bad and cursed pedophilic ship.
MxPG / MLxPB
1 = NOTP, Disgusting.
NO. NONONO. NOOOOO. Bubbline and Gumlee are good and precious ships we don’t eeever need het versions of them thanks.
Fum//ball: 1 = NOTP, Disgusting.
I’m assuming that that’s Fionna with Gumball? anyway PG is super old and an adult and Fio is a minor so. no.
Fi//ol//ee:
1 = NOTP, Disgusting.
BAD SHIP. Fionna deserves better. I have also never seen fio//l//ee stuff that wasn’t super ooc (tho I also never looked for it so it might be out there? I don’t wanna say none of the content creators get them right I just never saw anyone get them right). and again, ML is super old and an adult and Fionna is still a minor.
Gumlee:
10 = One True Pairing (OTP). I will fight to the death for this ship.
While it’s technically still only my second fav ship it deserves a 10 bc. wow good ship I wish the show portrayed them as they are in the comics just once I’d be blessed for eternity. I’m still unhappy with its fandom but it’s a highly blessed ship.
thanks for asking!!! Have a nice day!
