You and I need to talk. . .

We've had our differences over the years and I know I've treated you poorly. But you and I have a problem - and it's me. I know it'll take time, but I'm asking you to forgive me for how I've treated you, denigrated and undervalued you, to deny that which others seem to see so easily. For our own survival, that needs to change. I'm tired, dude. Tired of fighting pointless battles, tired of defeating myself before I've even begun the fight. Tired of ignoring you and your council. It's going to be a difficult journey for us both and, god knows, we'll fight each other before we finally call peace, but it will be worth it, I promise you.

So, what is it do we want, after peace is called? For now, three things; the first, I want us to create again. To write, to draw, to give form to the visions in my head which I used to love so much, the thing that ran through our veins. I want to fall in love with it again. But something stands in the way:

Depression. That liar; that thief in the night. He came and robbed me of almost everything, everything I loved, which was part of me and yet he continues to whisper the lies, seductive and insidious. It's time that fucker was removed from consideration, to knock his deceitful dick in the dirt; the second thing I want for us. But for that, we need each other, in union, as one with purpose. I need you. He has our property, and I want it back! He also prevents me from being a good man, a man who wishes to be seen and loved by someone for my virtues and my heart.

The third thing is a more personal thing perhaps, but something just as meaningful to me:

When all this is done, and we've reclaimed what is ours, bloodied and bruised from battle and begin to rebuild anew, I want her to see me, and just be proud of me.

I need you for all this, and more. We need each other. . .

Graystorm has existed, or at the very least had a role in the story from the very begining. He used to be a different character that belonged to a friend I had on deviantart. I believe the character’s name was Graywing? He got redesigned and revamped into Graystorm (I had to keep the Gray prefix just because I couldn’t imagine his character without it). He’s now a much older character and is currently ThunderClan’s oldest working warrior (technically the oldest is his mate Nightsong, but she’s in the nursery right now). He’s the dad to Ridgefang (the clan deputy) alongside Spiderfang and Vixenleap. 

Stormrush is Graystorm’s lighthearted and humorous brother, but he used to not be Graystorm’s brother at all. He was at one point going to be an orange cat named Leafstorm and he was going to be Nightsong’s mate at one point. There’s not a whole lot of similarities between Stormrush and his past life as Leafstorm, aside from their names both having storm in them lol. He’s Palefur’s mate and is the dad to younger warriors, Cinderwing and Appleheart. 

Palefur is a character that hasn’t existed for as long as some other characters have. She was added to the ThunderClan cast in order to give them more warriors and to give some other characters parents. At one point she was mates with a unnamed ThunderClan warrior (that’ll probably never be elaborated on lol sorry) and the two had Shallowstream together but ended up seperating. Years later, she got with Stormrush and the two had Cinderwing and Appleheart. 

Coppershine, like Graystorm has existed since the very beginning, a small spoiler but when Sunny and Blossom are going to be made ThunderClan apprentices she’s gonna be Sunny’s mentor! That’s how it’s always been in the story and I refuse to make Sunny’s mentor literally anyone else. 

There’s not a whole lot to talk about with Leapordbreeze as I haven’t planned her character out super well and she won’t be all that important until the later acts of the story so you’ll just have to see how things play out for her later on! From what I have planned out, she’s essentially the Thornclaw of The Fight Begins, meaning she’s the “patrol gal” 

I mentioned this before with Sprucethorn’s old character bio I made here, but he is ThunderClan’s local dad. He just wants to be everyone’s dad and to help them out with their problems. Sprucethorn has only existed for a short period of time compared to the other characters but I love him lol. He’s mates with Robinflower and is the father to Brindlewing, Mistlefang, Specklepaw, and Blackpaw

Robinflower is Sprucefang’s mate and the mother to Brindlewing, Mistlefang, Specklepaw and Blackpaw. I’m still planning out her character so there’s not as much I can say here for her. She was created alongside Sprucethorn because the clan needed more characters and Blackpaw and Specklepaw had no parents lol.

Spiderfang is the clan jerk lol. He’s a total asshole, but he’s not neccesarily a bad person (cat??). He’s very moody and has a reputation of starting fights with cats from other clans on border patrols and at gatherings. He also as a history of trying to fight off foxes and badgers, which is the reasoning for most of his scars. 

Vixenleap was added, and removed, then readded, and then removed, and then readded so many times but she’s here to stay! She’s Spiderfang and Ridgefang’s sister and she’s suspected to possibly be made deputy of her clan someday due to how responsible she is. She’s frequently on patrol and has become buddies with Leapordbreeze because of this.

Y'know at first I was kinda bummed that this season started with a full combat episode because it set a weird opening tone for me that wasn't the comfort I was expecting. But then I realized that's likely entirely The Point.

Most Fantasy High seasons and oneshots start out with the Bad Kids at home. Brennan gives everyone a little time to introduce themselves, their families, and what they've been doing outside of adventuring. Typically it would make sense to start a new season with a bit of an "npc parade" reintroducing friendly faces to get everyone settled into the world again. It's been three and a half years since we've last seen them, after all. But there's no settling that needs to be done because in-universe there was no break at all.

There's literally no time for introductions. The Bad Kids have gone through so many changes over the summer but neither them nor we get any time to digest it. Besides essential battle companions, the episode is noticeably devoid of any friendly faces. No parents, no partners, no classmates. Instead there's all these new people so purposefully out of place. Who the hell is Balthazar? Who even cares? They have school in three days. It's the end of the world for the third time in two years and they have school in three days. And school just means the world will find a way to end itself all over again.

[ID: A colourless, digital Trigun comic of Vash and Wolfwood talking about Wolfwood's scars. They're both laying in bed and topless. Vash lays on top of Wolfwood, playing with the rosary around his neck. Then, Vash kisses a spot on Wolfwood's chest. Wolfwood asks, "What are you doing?" Vash smiles sadly, "You got shot here. In the last town we visited. You didn't even bother moving."

Vash props himself up over Wolfwood, who frowns slightly. Wolfwood is quiet for a moment before he says, "You remember that, huh?" Vash grabs Wolfwood's left wrist and brings it to his face. "And here." He kisses another spot there. "When you helped free the hostages from that robber..." Wolfwood dismissively says, looking away, "Was a lucky shot." Vash huffs, “Don’t brag. Jeez.”

Half of Wolfwood's expression is shown, eyes returning to Vash who is now sitting up, continuing to say, "And..." Vash goes on and kiss Wolfwood's right palm. "You got cut here, even though that girl was aiming at me." A moment from the past flashes, of Wolfwood grabbing a knife aimed at Vash, his hand bleeding.

At present, Vash moves down and puts another kiss on Wolfwood's right shoulder. "And here, from watching my back." Another memory flashes of Wolfwood and Vash back to back. Vash looks back as Wolfwood grins while holding Punisher, bleeding from multiple gunshots in his shoulder.

"And," Vash combs up Wolfwood's hair to reveal his forehead, "Here." A final memory shows Wolfwood with a regeneration vial in his mouth while getting shot on his temple. The next panel is framed in blood with Vash at the center, eyes wide and stunned in horror. The next panel is a closed up shot of Wolfwood's eye, locked on Vash's face.

Back to present, Vash’s head is bowed down as Wolfwood raises a hand to his nape and says, “Spikey.”

Wolfwood looks serious and frowns as he says, "We talked about this. Those were my decisions. They're not there anymore. Forget about them." Vash looks very sad before he smiles ruefully and says, "I still see them. All the time." He leans down so they touch foreheads. Wolfwood’s sorrowful expression can be seen as Vash says, "You protect so much. I could never forget what you've done to me. And many others..."

In the last image, they're drawn more cartoonishly. Wolfwood sweats and asks, "You don't actually remember every wound, right?" Vash points at a spot on his chest. "Kuroneko left a scratch here 7 times." Wolfwood, startled, says, "Why the hell are you keeping count—" End ID]

so obviously bosses are programmed to know generally where the player is, but something i really love about meta knight boss fights in particular is that he is literally always one step behind you. his movements are not erratic, they're directly tied to yours. even if you're on the other side of the stage, he will catch up to your last point of action. it's so cool.

sokka hates the fire nation but nonetheless subscribes to their logic through internalizing his own dehumanization, albeit in the name of sacrificing what is necessary to resist imperialism. on the other hand, aang refuses to sacrifice his humanity, which is intrinsically tied to the culture that was deemed deserving of extermination, and by recognizing the fullness of his personhood and his intrinsic right to exist, he defeats the tenets of imperialism on an ideological battleground. that is why it is so crucial that aang’s influence over sokka, as an air nomad, and as someone who did not grow up under the looming shadow of colonialism and genocide, is what helps him regain the childhood he had forsworn in the name of war—his laughter, his joy, and his humanity.

Clan leaders! 

Morningstar used to be named Willowstar when I first made the ThunderClan allegiances back when I was 10/11 but then immediately changed her name to Morningstar because it was just better.

Dawnstar until I redesigned her here was 100% a Tallstar rippoff. She was literally just female Tallstar with a mild jokster persona and I think that’s hilarious.

Bristlestar didn’t exist until a few months ago lol. The ShadowClan leader used to be a cream cat named Mothstar but she was the most boring, blank character on the face of the planet and I had her die without doing ANYTHING so grumpy Bristlestar it is!

As for Pikestar, Pikestar used to be Brokenstar 2.0. He was gonna be a fake-out/minor villain until *gasp* it’s revealed that he’s actually the product of a half-clan relationship and is ACTUALLY a big softie (just ignore all of his warcrimes lol), but then he got completely rewritten and is a big grump with a heart of gold (who is still the product of a half-clan relationship but no-one cares because half-clan relationships aren’t forbidden anymore)

Reveal gone wrong ends with Vlad realizing how toxic his obsession was. He cuts out contact with jack and Maddie. Because if they denied there own flesh and blood so much. There is no way maddie would except him.

She couldn’t even accept Danny as a halfa.

Then takes in Danny and Jazz. He does it all legally makes it in the news. Danny and jazz aren’t exactly pleased at first. Vlad has a lot to me up for

Ellie eventually joins at the he pays her pack pay in child supports and fully realizes he was a fruitloop.

When vlad gets an invite to a Wayne gala. All three of his new wards attend. Needless to say it’s an gala no one will ever forget.

Fist fights. Chandeliers breaking. Jazz causing breakdowns. Who let Tim and Danny discuss inventions?!? Vlad will never recover.
