the water engulfed without a moon to reflect. Ashes from desperate cries left burning magnesium through the rues. Starry hands sought the earth, and withdrew as if scalded, scorned whispers echoing through the lifeless home. The heavens grieved and stroked the rivers of fire, flowing ever so serenely now, sobbed harder and washed off memories to a place better deserved. the once bright lanterns, the sole conspirators of curtained stages, no longer remained diminished but choked underneath the clouds. The repressing haze, one which burned your breath, dissipated under the violent fog. The deep violet skies rumbled, quiet in regret, flooded the builds again and again, till life grew anew. The rushing sound never ceased, till the scorched red cleared the ruins brown, till the crushed whispers smelt home. Eventually, a blue, much like your eyes emerged through the tar clouds, and the broken hands gave way to crawling flowers. Amidst the drenched rubble, the soft footsteps of a lone writer remained as lone witness to Pompeii's apology.

i finally finished these!! i felt bad that hunter and monk didnt have their own titlescreen art, so i started on making my own for them a few months ago. nailing the official rendering made this harder than i thought haha

also, when i originally made these, i had the idea of making this into a sort of challenge for other people to make their own title art for these two. im still standing with that! if you want to take a shot at making your own version of titlescreen art for these two, go ahead! hell, tag me if you want.

Cubito!Pearlescentmoon gets pigeon-holed as a “big sister” despite consistently being one of if not the youngest in any given group.

This is most evident in the “sibling edition” settings, where she and Grian and Solidarity are related and she is 9.5 times out of 10 portrayed as older than Jimmy and 7 times out of 10 as older than Grian, despite cc!Pearl being the youngest of the three.

This is symptomatic of the motherization of women in media in general and fandom in particular, and in this case often results in a flanderization of Cubito!Pearl, reducing her to the characteristics deemed more “responsible” and “mature” and preventing her from being portrayed as weird and unhinged and multi-faceted as she actually is.
