A while back on my main I’d tagged a post with #dying for your wife does not solely mean 'if it came down to it i would lay down my life for her' #most often it means stuff like setting the table and loading the dishwasher
Since then I’ve been thinking more about the idea of dying to self in the mundane, and reflecting on it, every moment of Jesus’ life was dying to Himself for the sake of His Bride.
There are points in the Gospels where this is abundantly clear. The one I heard about the most in Sunday School as a kid was about Jesus washing the disciples’ feet. Fulton Sheen wrote about how humbling Christ’s baptism and circumcision must have been, how Jesus was “circumcised, as if His nature were sinful” and “He was baptized, although He had no need of purification.”
But as important as these moments are, I can’t help but think about Jesus dying to Himself as He washed someone’s dishes.

Art Dump/Prophecies/Prayers 02.06.24
To The Messiah,
I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I'm sorry we continue to suffer from our silence. Dear Messiah tell me the wounds will become visible soon. I'd do anything for it. I'd do anything for a blessing from you. I know what I am and I know what you are too. Don't leave me behind. You know, when the time comes. I had that dream about you again. The one where the sun becomes God. I had another dream about the devil in the Mariana Trench. Some things can't be stopped I suppose, but let me try. Let me try.
Love and duty,
D'ARC

John 3:26-31 (NASB). “And they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified—behold, He is baptizing and all the people are coming to Him.” John replied, “A person can receive not even one thing unless it has been given to him from heaven. You yourselves are my witnesses that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent ahead of Him.’ He who has the bride is the groom; but the friend of the groom, who stands and listens to him, rejoices greatly because of the groom’s voice. So this joy of mine has been made full. He must increase, but I must decrease. “He who comes from above is above all; the one who is only from the earth is of the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.”
Matthew 11:9-10 (NASB). “But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and one who is more than a prophet. This is the one about whom it is written: ‘Behold, I am sending My messenger ahead of You, Who will prepare Your way before You.’”
John 1:29 (NKJV). “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”
“Faith to Be Less” By In Touch ministries:
“Smaller roles in God’s kingdom don’t have smaller joy.”
“In today’s passage, we see the disciples of John the Baptist showing concern for their leader, or perhaps for the viability of his ministry. “The one you identified as the Messiah is also baptizing people,” they said, “and everybody is going to him instead of coming to us” (v. 26 NLT). They knew John wasn’t the Messiah, or at least that he said he wasn’t. Perhaps they hoped his ministry would continue to be relevant, and that he’d receive the respect he deserved as a prophet. For these reasons, John’s response may have surprised them.
“This joy of mine has been made full,” he said. “[Jesus] must increase, but I must decrease” (vv. 29-30). John’s faith in Christ enabled him to handle being less. His faith meant stepping from center stage into the shadows. But John had no sadness or regret; he felt only complete joy.
The Baptizer understood his role. His faithful service—which Jesus acknowledged after Herod had John arrested (Matthew 11:9-10)—was just that: service. John recognized that his primary work was to set the stage for the Messiah.
Our role in God’s work is similar. Like John, let us find our fullest joy in bearing witness, embracing the lesser role that points to the Savior and says, “Behold, the Lamb of God!” (John 1:29).

Consuming || Becky Lynch x Seth Rollins
Summary: The feud between Seth and Shinsuke is taking a real toll on him. Becky is really worried.
Tumblr media
The intense rivalry between Seth and Shinsuke Nakamura had reached a boiling point, leaving both competitors battered and bruised in its wake. For Seth, the relentless pursuit by Nakamura was taking its toll, both mentally and physically, and Becky could see it clearly.
As they walked through the door of their hotel room, Becky's heart sank at the sight of him. His normally confident demeanor was replaced by a weary expression, and the shadows under his eyes spoke volumes about the toll the feud was taking on him.
"Seth," Becky said softly, moving to wrap her arms around him in a comforting embrace. "I'm so worried about you. You look exhausted."
Seth sighed heavily, leaning into her embrace as he buried his face in her shoulder. "I'm exhausted, Becks. This feud with Nakamura...it's like he's everywhere I turn. I can't escape him."
Becky gently guided him to the couch, sitting beside him as she listened to him pour out his frustrations. She could see the desperation in his eyes, the weight of the constant battles wearing him down.
"I don't know how much more of this I can take," Seth admitted, his voice heavy with defeat. "It's not just the physical toll—it's the mental strain too. I can't sleep, I can't focus...it's like he's consuming every part of me."
Becky reached out to take his hand, her touch a soothing balm against the storm raging within him. "You don't have to face this alone, Seth. We'll get through this together."
For the next few hours, they talked and strategized, Becky offering words of encouragement and support as they navigated the treacherous waters of Seth's feud with Nakamura. With each passing moment, Seth felt a weight lift from his shoulders, the burden of his worries shared with the woman he loved.
As the night wore on, Becky could see the tension easing from Seth's frame, his exhaustion finally catching up with him. With a gentle smile, she guided him to the bed, tucking him in with a tender kiss on the forehead.
"I'll be right here if you need me," she whispered, her voice a soothing melody in the darkness.
And as Seth drifted off to sleep, enveloped in the warmth and safety of Becky's embrace, he knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, he would face them with her by his side. For in her arms, he found solace and strength, a beacon of light in the darkest of nights.

The Messiah!
One of my original ocs without any fandoms! But the series and work The Messiah belongs to is called Equinox at the moment.
I kinda revamped and remade their entire concept from their previous design. Their previous design was more cyberpunk and robotic but now I made it more ethereal and alien-like!
It was a very fun art piece and I got to experiment lots colours :D
Old designs below for comparisons. And old art!
The old designs and concepts!

Therefore when one calls upon Me, I know, I see, I hear, regardless of the name by which they have come to know Me, says The Lord...
For there is but One God and One Savior, and I AM HE.
Yet understand this: In times past I overlooked the ignorance of the people. Yet now I command all people everywhere to repent in sincerity and in truth.[1] In like manner, I have overlooked the ignorance of those who call The Messiah by another name. Yet now I command all who have ears to hear, to call upon His name as it is, was, and has always been, and not as they presume it to be.[2] Indeed I am calling all tribes, tongues, peoples and nations to embrace Him as He truly is, and not as the churches of men would have Him be,[3] says The Lord.”

Matthew 9:35-38 (AMP). “Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages [in Galilee], teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news (gospel) of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness [His words and His works reflecting His Messiahship]. When He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion and pity for them, because they were dispirited and distressed, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is [indeed] plentiful, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
Matthew 6:9-13 (AMP). “Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. ‘Your kingdom come, Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. ‘Give us this day our daily bread. ‘And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors [letting go of both the wrong and the resentment]. ‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.]’”
“Lord, Teach Us to Pray” By In Touch ministries:
“Keep talking to the Lord—He always welcomes you, just as you are.”
“When it comes to prayer, there are two common pitfalls to be aware of. First, when it’s unclear what to pray, some people choose not to pray at all. And second, many believers settle into a lifeless form of praying that leaves them feeling hollow and disconnected from God. Both situations lead to discontentment and frustration.
As Christians, we know that we should pray, even if doing so seems daunting. But far more than any sense of obligation we may feel, it’s wise to recognize that God intended prayer as a blessing for His children: Communing with Him is a fundamental way of experiencing His fullness. We have much to gain by praying—including peace, comfort, wisdom, and God’s very presence. So it would be tragic to give up on trying.
And remember, when we communicate with God, there’s no measuring stick or scorecard. A fumbling yet heartfelt attempt pleases Him far more than a well-worded litany that lacks sincerity. And keep in mind that formal prayers—such as the one Jesus taught His disciples (Matthew 6:9-13)—can help us find a path back into the practice when we’re lost.
Start with the Lord’s Prayer today and return to it as often as needed. You may eventually find your own words flowing freely as a result. But if not, don’t give up. Just keep talking to the Lord.”

Christmas Carol - “O Holy Night”
O holy night,
The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining, ‘Til He appeared and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!
Tumblr media
Fall on your knees!
O hear the angel voices!
O night divine! O night when Christ was born! O night, O holy night, O night divine!
Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is Love and His gospel is Peace;
Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother, And in His Name, all oppression shall cease. Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we; Let all within us praise His holy name!
Christ is the Lord!
O praise His name forever!
His power and glory evermore proclaim! His power and glory evermore proclaim!
Fall on your knees!
O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born! O night, divine, O night, O night divine.
O, holy night, O holy night.
