Shen yuan Appreciation Post

· He’s a nerd and a proud nerd at that .When he woke up in Shen Yuan’s body ,his reaction wasn’t the typical “are you guys filming a movie?” and what not .Its something that he’d decided beforehand ,so clearly he had fantasized about being part of the fictional world before. Relatable ,eh?

o .The way he knows all those monsters and proudly gives lectures about them –what.a.dork. :D.

o Also ,I think he called himself a semi-otaku at some point of the book. Personally ,I think he’s a complete otaku but okay .

· He’s smart ,well not book smart . we all remember that glorious moment when he quite spiritedly went for the easy mode on the mission ,he had no qualms about it either which I really appreciate .Why go for the hard way when you have an easy way out ?why so much unnecessary angst ?

o All those times when he indirectly interfered with the story with all those loopholes he had found within the system-Bargaining and reason with the system as to how he wasn’t OOC .

o My favorite part is when he soothes Luo Binghe after scapegoating him in carefully picked words “Then this master will also tell you .Even if something does happen nothing will happen to you.”

o His otaku knowledge on monsters and how he applies it .

· His is easy –going ,content with how things are and makes do with what he has .While I love rooting for the protagonist as goes about his endeavors with the goal to “catch ‘em all” or works his way to the tap overcoming obstacle-after-obstacle repeatedly breaking his limbs in the process *cough*Izuku Midoriya *cough*.Shen Yuan isn’t about all that ,infact he is quite baffled with shen qingui for going out of his way to sabotage Luo Binghe out of envy

o .But that’s the fact, isn’t it? –he isn’t the protagonist ,he is a millennial ,an otaku thrown into the fictional world where Luo Binghe is the protagonist –he can take care of the passionate chase to the top, the dramatic monolouges,the angst ,shen yuan is fine sitting back –out of the spotlight.

o Maybe it was a design keeping in mind that Shen Yuan will have to take up the identity of Shen Qingui ,Shen Yuan’s mild temperament and mild mannerisms probably makes it easier for him to imitate Shen Yuan’s expressions contrary to someone who’s more extreme in his temperament

· His id is cucumber bro .

· He is the physical manifestation of ‘fake it till you make it ‘ or ‘ I might seem sorted but I screaming in my head’ which is such a typical millennial move and can’t we all relate ?.I love how he -adorned in his robes ,a sword hanging at his left side and right hand holding a fan seems like a refined ,ethereal man while internally he’s cursing the author or having a banter with the system .Honestly ,I love his sarcasm laced inner dialogue .I would totally read about second generation rich Shen Yuan going about his very mundane everyday life.

· He’s Kind and he doesn’t even know it . When the other characters shower him with appreciation or acknowledge him –he awkwardly tries to change the subject as he thinks that if they were to know what his devices really were, they wouldn’t think so.He’s under the impression that he’s some evil schemer but he’s not.I don’t think he can be evil if he wanted to be .Most of his actions towards Luo Binghe aren’t deliberate but are reflex responses .He’s well aware of the ‘protagonist’s halo ‘ and has witnessed it (and read about it )many times –remember that time when the whole fucking ceiling fell in because binghe was in danger ??He intervenes when Binghe was getting bullied by using the “plucked leaves flying flowers technique” ,got stabbed while shielding his body, feels personally offended when Binghe is getting humiliated and those head pats are definitely not necessary –they were unconscious actions coming from and his kindness just doesn’t extend to Luo Binghe , he feels moved by Yue Qingyuan’s brotherly affections ,even condemns the original character for being able to betray such a person, he even worries for Ming Fang wishing that he’d stop acting in such a brash manner , he frequently worries for the I.Q of the females within the novel (Ning Yingying’s character development was amazing ,though ).

o Most of all he even found it in himself to be courteous to Que Haitang –keeping in mind that the original character had done her wrong. The natural response of a person when accused for something they did not do is get angry . He was ready to shoulder the original characters wrongdoings and that’s something ,alright .His ‘evil devices ‘consisted of prodding and poking Liu Qingqi.Because his little acts of kindness are such an instinct for him ,he doesn’t even realize that he is kind.

· He both owned the character of Shen Qingqui and made it his own as well :

o He both dressed and adopted the old Shen Qingqui’s mannerisms keeping his face cold ,giving out slight nods as a form of greeting but his slight smiles were his .When Luo Binghe happened to glance upon his person when a laugh slipped out from his lips ,he described him having “ eyes like stars , a wide smile ,a greeting filled with laughter ‘. The original Shen Qingqui was incapable of such an emotion . The warmth and affection of Shen Yuan made Shen Qingqui more beautiful somehow .

o Although , he isn’t as ambitious as the former SQ , he did what must be done for survival. He did inherit the powers and spiritual energy of SQ but it was like he was handed down some contraption without a manual telling how to use it .He went into seclusion at the spirit caves of Qiong Ding Peak and he devoted himself to months of cultivation until he could freely use his spirit power .

o His book nerd rants about monsters were his own ,his will to protect his sect.The relationships he built up with people were solely his own, the original SQ was filled upto the brim with hatred and he could never appreciate them .

· Shen Qingqui and his fan .An aesthetic .That iconic moment when he fought the Sha Hualing’s demon army –

“…..It was particularly so for Shen Qingqiu: his ease of movement as his sword whirled into afterimages of sword light in the air all while shaking his fan leisurely, every seven steps giving rise to a poem to send forth, this sort of stunning style!”

so...the last year has been rough. for everyone. but i’ve been lucky in a lot of ways, especially with the people in my life, and i wanted to take a second to thank some people on here. because genuinely, you guys mean so freaking much to me. i’ve had a lot of online friends in my life but none that feel so much like family. these are the people who have carried me through the last year, who’ve made me feel seen and heard and supported me in all my endeavors and just been wonderful to me all around. i love you guys, and happy new year <3

i’m about to get into it now. and i’ll try not to cry too much along the way.

@neshatriumphs nesha, when i say that you’re our fandom mom i mean that you’re my family, i mean that you’re my biggest supporter, my inspiration, my rock, the person who makes me want to be my best self, all the time. i can’t explain to you what your support has meant to me over the years. whether it’s leaving me incredibly kind notes on my fics that make me want to write more just for you, or sending me asks when you know i’m feeling down, or just making me laugh with your hilarious takes, you have always, always been there for me. you’re the toughest person i know and you make me want to keep pushing every day. you’re so incredibly talented; your ideas are just always stunning and inspired and despite being humble about it you’re amazing at everything you do. your art, your writing, your aesthetics, all of it. loeg and share-a-lair were just spectacular and such a show of how complex and original and smart your writing is. barring just your talent you’re also an inspiration in how passionate and kind and dedicated you are. you care for others everywhere you go. you come on here and constantly make me want to be a better person. it’s not just me, either—you’ve taken on the role of helping all of us in any way you can, and you just make us feel loved and supported and give us someone to always look up to. i love you. plain and simple, you’re my family, and i’m so, so grateful to have you in my life.

@juliesdahlias you know when you meet someone younger than you and you’re like how do they have this much talent in their body? and you can’t even be mad about it because you just want to root for them and you want good things for them and you think of them like a little sibling? that’s me around you all. the freaking. time. pearl, i’m constantly blown away by how smart and driven and passionate you are. you have so much talent to offer the world and i love seeing you thrive more than anything. you inspire me every freaking day; i mean, your tiara thief drabbles literally made me pull my fic out of my drafts for the first time in months. every time you post it’s something iconic and beautiful, whether its your fics or your edits or your headcanons. and not just that, but you’re so incredibly supportive of everything i put out there. like with ths, the way you latched on to it and are one of our biggest fans and made content for it literally as soon as we started!! that was amazing!! you’re just such an incredible person in every sense of the word; you’re talented and hilarious and kind and passionate and i love you so so much. i cannot wait to watch you do amazing things because i know you’re gonna be one of the greats. ily.

@ciara-knightly i can’t even put this into words. i’m sitting here trying to say it right and every time i start i just turn into “!!!!!!!!” cause i love you so much. i know i’ve said this before, but shona, you’re honestly like my older sister. this whole year of just, really getting to talk to you beyond tumblr has shown me how honestly kind, passionate, smart, and supportive you are. talking to you is one of my favorite things in the world, whether it’s rambling about tiara thief, or discussing feminism in media, or just getting life advice. you always know what to say to lead me in the right direction and reassure me that things are gonna be okay. i look up to you more than i can tell you; i’m constantly inspired by your talent and your drive. you’re endlessly supportive and you make me laugh all the time, and i hold literally every convo we have close to my chest because it means so much to me to just be able to have them with you. i’ll never be over the fact that you basically discovered jatp, or us talking and making predictions for weeks before it aired, or us plotting out the whole dystopia novel together—which, even though it didn’t really pan out, was such an amazing experience because i got to do it with you. and i absolutely scroll back through our convos on a regular basis to scream over our tiara thief headcanons. everything i’ve done with you has been incredibly fun and meaningful, so what i’m trying to say in this very long winded way is that i’m so, so glad i know you, and i can never thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me.

@zackmartn i know i’m gonna start crying right now because i love you so much and i’m trying not to because i just did my makeup but dammit, nikki, i just love you so much. i remember when i first came on here and was afraid to talk to you because i was like “ohmygod she’s so cool she’s the king of this fandom she’s amazing” but i thank god that you reached out to me every day. i honestly can’t imagine my life without you; you’ve been such a presence in it for so long that you’re inseparable from it. even the times i’ve gone on hiatus i’ve been stalking your blog from a distance like “i just wanna know what she’s up to...”. you’re honestly like an older sister to me and you’re one of the people i admire the most; you’ve been through and continue to go through so much and yet every day you come on here and decide to be a freaking light to all of us, to make me smile, to support me literally endlessly. like, the amount of times you’ve driven me to near tears from your reviews of my writing is ridiculous. the freaking umana fan club?? the way ths is one of your top tags??? it’s just...insane and such a show of how boundless your support is. and that’s not even getting into how freaking talented you are!!! i stare at your gifsets all the time!! and your fics like....holy shit you literally created this whole universe that i’m so freaking invested in and is better than literally anything that canon could ever do, and i know i’m honestly terrible at responding to messages but i hope you know you never have to start holding back with me. most of the time when i get stuff you send i have to sit there and get my thoughts together and that takes forever, but i love love love reading it anyway. the way you get excited about the things you love is everything, it’s something that i really really love about you, and i hope you continue to keep that passion and love for everything. and i hope that this year brings you nothing but good things, because you deserve that more than anyone. i love you.

@willexs eliza, babe, i know we joke all the time that we were put on opposite sides of the ocean because we’d be too powerful if we were together but i really think it’s true. imagine us meeting. the universe just wouldn’t be able to handle it; it would implode. listen, you’re literally like my twin, my other half. we have so much in common that it’s honestly ridiculous. we operate on the same brainwave, and every time we talk i’m blown away by how easy it is and i honestly love it so much because i could not have picked a more talented and creative and fun person to work with. writing ths with you has literally been like...one of my favorite writing experiences ever. i can’t believe that it started on such a whim because it’s such an important part of my life now and getting to have you next to me while we figure this whole thing out is honestly the best part. it’s not just all the characters and dynamics we’ve created, it’s the fact that i can send you incoherent ramblings at ungodly hours and you’ll pick them apart, it’s the 3-hour phone calls to make playlists, it’s you always making me feel heard and inspiring me. it’s this like...excitement of building towards something amazing with someone i love. you understand me on this crazy and fundamental level, and sometimes it blows my mind how similar we are and how well you know me without us having even met. i feel like we’re the embodiment of “nobody gets me like you”. and i know i’ve said this before, but i really do think you make me a better writer. i love how you make me laugh, i love that you always have the best takes and i love how talented you are with your incredible adorable art and your fics and your gorgeous edits and i love that we egg each other on and hype each other up. i love that, despite being on opposite sides of the ocean, we’re still best friends. and i love you <3

Aspiring Heroes Chapter 3 is out!

Hey everyone! I just want to apologize for not posting any updates about my fic here in Tumblr for a long time, I’ve been on a messy schedule this month that’s why, making time for simple things is getting difficult, but I really wanna make up for it and by doing that, I already uploaded Chapter 4 in just two weeks compare before, every 2 weeks is probably will be my schedule for this Fic, I can’t assure though, it depends on how school will treat me lol. Anyways Chapter 3 is out! Hope you guys will read :)

Summary - A girl born with a powerful quirk sets foot in the most prestigious school for hero training to be a hero.

Preview: Chapter 3: Quirk Apprehension Test

Ikoaru Akamine's POV

After sensei's pumping words, everyone had a massive buildup on their faces. The Quirk Apprehension Test is about to start, we moved on from the softball throw test for now as ordered by Nezu-sensei.

First Test: 50-Meter Dash

A 50-meter line is vertically drawn on the ground, both sides are to be used by two students each, separating them from each other, not necessarily to race but to add intensity for both players as they will run the whole 50-meter line with the use of their quirks. Spectating in the side is a robot proctor and next to it is Nezu-sensei, while all of us line up for our turns.

And so it begins...

First of all, Eizo positioned himself on the starting line along with another classmate as his competitor.

"On your marks, get set..." the robot proctor said in a high robotic voice.

Before the robot proctor even said the final word to commence the start, Eizo's right eye glowed in full red. "Boost..." he whispered, looking straight still.

"Bang!" The robot proctor emitted and the two students started running.

Eizo's right back leg immediately turned into a rocket thruster, without even a second to waste the engines quickly fired up and Eizo accelerated up through the finish line. "3.27 seconds! Holy! That was so fast!" the robot proctor shouted.

Wow! Eizo really is a robot...

"I'm sure that gave Sensei some impressions," Eizo said as he calms himself down, his formed thrusters on the back of his leg reassembled, shifting back to his normal leg.

Niikura Eizo

Quirk: Half-Cybernetic

His left side is a normal human body while his right side is a cybernetic body that gives him the abilities of a robot. He's a cyborg!

Note: Eizo is still considered as a human being for his intelligence is human, not artificial.

"Impressive Eizo-kun, just don't scare us with your eye, It's like your trying to kill us," Sensei jokingly commented.

"M-my eye... I didn't mean to! Sensei this is just me being serious, forgive me for scaring you all!" he apologized, bowing many times while covering that glowing red eye.

Eizo's seriousness made everyone laugh especially Mei. "You're taking this too much, Eizo," Mei commented, tapping his metal back.

"At least I got 3 seconds, I'm the highest," Eizo competingly replied.

"Congrats! But I'm not here for the competition. I'm here, for other things..." she smirked before walking on the starting line along with another classmate as the competitor.

"Okay! This test needs some flavor!" Mei shouted.

She then unzipped the back part of her PE uniform, which for some reason hers has one, revealing her back which has a colored scaled pattern attached to it like she has a tattoo, delicately attached on her soft skin, looking very smooth. Everyone wasn't ready for what she's about to do.

Nezu-sensei was about to call her out but the scales then pulled themselves off from Mei's skin, unfolding as it reaches out to her uniform, forming her butterfly wings. All of us were stunned. Her wings are aesthetically beautiful.

"Wow... So that's what I missed when she helped me at the cafeteria, it's so pleasing in my eyes..." I whispered, it's like I'm hypnotized.

Meanwhile, Eizo just stares at it apathetically.

The test starts. "On your marks, get set..." the robot proctor said.

Mei flutters herself from the ground, her antennas immediately gave her the wind signal, preparing her wings for a takeoff...

"Bang!"

As the robot proctor projected the starting sound, Mei vigorously swung her wings, giving her a boost in the air, continuously gliding with her wing spreading fully, it's like she wasn't even consuming energy, her wings do all the work until she reached the finish line.

"5.36 seconds!"

Mei gracefully dropped herself down and gave us all a wink to our surprised faces.

"Kumei Chou"

"Quirk: Butterfly"

"She has butterfly wings, antennae, her hands are sticky and her tongue also acts as a proboscis which can stretch up to 2 meters, basically she's a human butterfly!"

Everyone was so pleased with what Mei has shown that everyone was fangirling over her. Suddenly it's my turn because almost everyone who was on the line went to Mei, I put myself on the starting line, and unexpectedly out of all people, the other competitor is Shizue and he still has that cold face as he prepares himself.

Are you serious!? Damn it, Mei, why do you have to steal everyone's attention and leave me with this one; nonetheless, this is an opportunity to strike back. But wait! What will I do on this race...? Do I even know how to use my quirk!? How did I even use my quirk yesterday?

"On your marks, get set... BANG!"

W-wait!

With no other choice, I started running. I tried my best to release something from my hands as I moved but there's nothing, meanwhile, Shizue's running with his hands spread behind his back, releasing a blast of his flame quirk, gaining a big boost from the impact while I just run as fast as I could.

"5.13 seconds!" the robot proctor announced as Shizue reached the finish line.

And he finished first...

"6.56 seconds!" the robot proctor announced as I stepped on the finish line.

6.56 seconds... Did I do well...?

"I did well... Right?" I heavily sighed, looking around, everyone seems to be minding their businesses, good thing only a few heard my results...

Second Test: Grip Strength

Each student is tasked to grasp a hand-held device that will measure the force of their grip in kilograms.

"OK... Huuuurghhhh!" I gripped the device with much force that my hands can release, receiving small pain as I clutch intensely, after a few seconds, I looked at the hand-held device and my force is just 52.0kg.

I really should work out more...

"Woahhh, 450kg!" a classmate suddenly cheered.

"Wow! You're like a gorilla!" Mei praised.

450kg! Is that even possible?

I looked to where the noise is coming from and saw the student who just grasped the device which made everyone from the class seem impressed and to my surprise, he really is a gorilla wearing glasses and his huge hands are literally near on crushing the device.

"But... I am a gorilla..." the gorilla student replied to Mei awkwardly.

Third Test: Standing Long Jump

Students are tasked to clear a long sandbox with the use of their quirks.

Once again, Mei took the spotlight. Using her wings, Mei floated in the air as she jumped with much control, not even worrying about any mistake as she levitates freely, securing a pass on the assigned sandbox for the test.

Mei has wings which is an instant win for her, so lucky...

Another classmate followed up, a girl with an intimidating aura placed herself on the starting line, bending her knees in preparation before she vigorously let all the stored power out, jumping so high from where she was standing, no doubt she cleared more than the required distance of the sandbox, she stayed in the air for some time before landing like a badass superhero.

There's no way she just flew like that...

Finally, it's my turn and the pressure is on, I bent my knees then jumped from the starting line with my hands spread on my back, hoping my quirk will react again so that it can boost me towards but...

"1, 2, 3, go! Heeeeeeeeeeya!" but nothing happened, I just landed within the sandbox, hitting my butt hard on the ground.

"Owww..." I whimpered.

This is so embarrassing...

Fourth Test: Repeated Side Steps

The students must move between three lines by one to the other fast.

A student whose face is covered by the hood of his uniform took first, he prepares himself for the test without even removing his hoodie, and from the darkness inside of it, his eyes glowed in red, and in a blink of an eye, he quickly sidestepped all the three lines, his hood didn't even fall off.

That's possible!?

Everyone was speechless and amazed at him but he didn't give any response and just walked out. And same as before there's nothing special that happened on my turn.

The test continued with Distance Run, Seated Toe-Touch, and Sit Ups with each of my classmates getting their chance to make their quirks shine. Nothing happened for me, I'm getting very stressed about all of this.

What should I do...? Why is it not working!?

I looked at the palm of my hands then tried doing any hand technique I know, getting more desperate as I try to make it work.

"You do know that's not how it will work..." Nezu-sensei said, appearing out of nowhere.

"Sensei you're here! I'm sorry..." I said, never expecting him to express his concern.

"During the entrance exam, your performance was different, please don't fall behind, Akamine-chan," he said before he left.

Sensei saw me during my entrance exam...

"Ikoa-chan!" Mei suddenly called, along with her is Eizo.

What's with everyone appearing out of nowhere!?

"Sensei was talking to you, Ikoaru," Eizo mentioned.

"Yeah, it's about my quirk, you guys shouldn't worry about it," I replied.

"Oh, actually we noticed that too."

"I think everyone did. The truth is, I don't know how to activate this quirk of mine, I don't even know what it is called or any stuff about it..."

"Didn't you just used it on Shizue yesterday?" Eizo curiously asked.

"No, It just trigger by itself, I was begging at that time... Maybe it's because I'm being pressured at that time that's why I triggered it like an emergency or something..."

"I find that weird and questionable, most kids will get to discover their quirk by the age of 4 and then they will just get used to it as they grow. If I may ask, how did you passed the exam, Ikoaru?" Mei asked.

"I don't know honestly, I don't remember... Shizue told me yesterday that I didn't even do anything at the entrance exam and yet I'm here..." I answered.

Both of them gave me a puzzled look.

"Okay look, today is just our second day, there's more time, don't beat yourself up," Mei said.

"Mei's right, don't overthink too much about it and just be yourself," Eizo added.

They're very concerned, I'm glad they care.

"Thank you... Don't worry, I will do my best!" my mood has lifted as I deliver a smile, they both nodded happily as they saw my sudden change of expression.

Finally, everyone had finished the current test, moving on to the final one. "We will now be having the final test, I'll give you a short break then we'll start!" Sensei announced. Everyone then replenished themselves. It's the final hurdle, I can feel everyone's solemnity.

Final Test: Soft-ball Throw

Students are required to throw a softball as far as they could with the use of their quirks.

Firstly, Shizue blasted the ball through a form of an explosion from his flame quirk, relying more on the impact of it, the ball reached a farther distance as expected.

"205.3 meters!" Sensei announced, looking at the device he's holding.

Next, Eizo's elbow is the part that turned into a thruster this time, the engines of his thruster boosted with much control, Eizo did 360-spins as he moved before throwing the ball from his grasps, giving it a much bigger momentum that resulted in him scoring a longer distance.

"401.6 meters!"

Other students also showed their best way of throwing the ball with their quirks, until finally, it's my turn. I walked through the circle, feeling calm as I can be, I felt Sensei's observing stare and my friend's internal cheer for me as I reached the center.

Everyone brought out the best of themselves, I want to show them what I can do as well...

"Good luck, Akamine-chan," Nezu-sensei said, giving me the ball.

I grasped it and closed my eyes, giving all my focus onto the ball, hoping that my quirk will work this time just like yesterday. A second passed and I've regained my confidence, I'm ready to show what I can do...!

And then there's the matter of the crap people have brought to my yard in the tags they put on my art and errant vagueposts, and my need to no longer smile and nod silently like the WoL. GANGWAY, IT’S THE DISK HORSE

When I was posting a lot of art with the Chais and Vauthry, it didn’t take me long to notice there was a distinct double standard at work in the tags of the reblogs. People who lovingly cooed over rat grandpa would tag my art--why they reblogged it in the first place, I wish I knew, I started blocking ones who did this--they would tag my art about how ew Vauthry is, how they were triggered by Vauthry, how they DEFINITELY WEREN'T REBLOGGING FOR VAUTHRY, etc.

Even though there is a very good case Vauthry had no choice in his behavior at all, as perhaps the Ascians didn’t. Even though what he did do is a fraction of the atrocities the Ascians have done, the breaking point for these people was literally the lesser of two evils. Rat grandpa is afforded an amazing level of sympathetic theorycrafting, Vauthry is just dismissed as a “bloated parasite” (interesting choice of adjective to the person who made that comment). Despite all in-game evidence the Lightwarden corruption rat grandpa forced on him before he was born likely twisted both his body and mind. Despite all in-game evidence Ascians took full advantage of their newborn pawn.

When @kasunshine pointed out that vaguepost in the Vauthry tags aimed at me, I saw a second one by the same person--it seems to be gone now?--calling me a "Vauthry Stan" who had gall to talk shit about rat grandpa for what he did to an unborn child.

Why does it take a “stan” to find what was done to him monstrous? Oh--right. Because rat grandpa. I probably would’ve made it under the radar if Lahabrea had done it.

No matter how much people may say it’s because Vauthry did bad things (that was sort of the point of rat grandpa corrupting him), or that he had no character development (hi Zenos), the fact remains that somehow, fat jokes are the preferred method of mockery.

Creating, liking, reblogging, not speaking out against (unless confronted), fat jokes. Fat jokes, imagine that.

Fat jokes even got defended in this recent round of discussion, under the guise of "concern", of course--even though it’s been thoroughly documented that shit is bullying and helps no one but the bully to feel better about themselves. Imagine upskirting Dulia-Chai’s model and laughing at her body, because haha, fat people are fat, gross! Imagine laughing at Dulia-Chai for eating because haha, fat people eat, gross! I’ve even read so many comments elsewhere about how Vauthry is absolutely a sexual predator, although nothing in-game backs that up. Yet when rat grandpa practically brags about all the kids he's had with unwitting partners, there is only silence from the same people. Silence, or excuses.

But haha, fat people would totally be predators, amirite? They’re gross!

I've dealt with this attitude before when drawing big guys in other fandoms. I’ve seen this phenomenon happen with them too. It’s always the same. Tumblr will gleefully reblog a fat woman for progressive brownie points (like my Dulia-Chai art), then will point and laugh and otherwise dehumanize fat men like kids on a playground (see disclaimers for EW VAUTHRY in the tags of the aforementioned Dulia-Chai art). If Vauthry had been a woman, or if rat grandpa had Vauthry's model, I am pretty sure most of this argument would not happen. In fact, if Vauthry’s model were reversed with rat grandpa, I would bet money people would all share my pain over the injustice of the Eulmore arc and all its poorly thought out shlock.

Square played the fat hate themselves, to the hilt.They used nothing but fat bodies in the trailer to represent the evils of Eulmore. Vauthry's introduction made sure to begin with a long, slooooooow pan from the stomach up. In German, Alphinaud straight-up called him a "fatass", apparently. Implications of cannibalism because we’re back in the Austin Powers days, I guess, even though meol made absolutely no sense if you bothered to do the math. But why bother to do the math? “Get in mah belly” haha fat people would totally eat people, amirite?

And finally, in the end, Square elevated the man who did this to Vauthry to a hero, because it seems they guessed correctly--not a lot of people would give a shit what was done to the fat guy, they’re too busy blaming the victim (and everyone else rat grandpa killed) because rat grandpa is just soooo tragic and

"aesthetically pleasing". (Modding rat grandpa into bed for screenshots is just a coincidence, it’s all about his character.)

I've read long discourse on how rat grandpa is innocent of all things he's done because Tempering, though rat grandpa's dialogue sounded like the Ascians expected to be Tempered ("of course" Zodiark Tempered them, "it was only natural".) It would be tragic if it pans out the Ascians were puppets, but before they were, there was a choice made -- of free will and immortal wisdom -- to commit to this bloody course. I don’t really buy the bullshit rat grandpa was selling about looking for other ways to achieve their goal. If there was really a less tragic path and they could choose it, why didn’t they choose it in the first place? They’re immortal. They have all the time in the worlds to achieve their goal. Yet they went headlong into the murder of billions of sentient creatures. Made a game of it. Oh, the WoL was being tested? Why does the WoL need to pass a test, when if they disagreed with the Ascians’ methods, it was stated plainly that the Ascians would then kill them anyway? Why does anyone on the Shards need to pass a test for the right to exist? Yeah, yeah, “moral relativism”, I know. Cool motive, still murder, and by rat grandpa’s own admission they freely chose to become the thralls of a primal, apparently fully aware of the monstrous things they may do in Zodiark’s name. Of course, rat grandpa said he’d do it all even if he weren’t Tempered. Hm. And I thought Raha was a shitty actor, lmao. BUT ASCIAN HUBRIS AND GENERAL JACKASSERY ASIDE

For all the mental gymnastics to excuse the Ascians of the deaths of entire worlds, the people I've countered about Vauthry go through comical, armchair-psychologist lengths to claim Vauthry was ABSOLUTELY aware and responsible for everything he'd done since rat grandpa corrupted him before he was born (corrupted him with Light, which the latest patch implied was very much like Tempering).

There are no examples in-game of Light corruption leaving a person unscathed, mentally or physically. Not Pixie Kings, not even the Hydaelyn-blessed WoL. But these people will look at rat grandpa, sigh lovingly, and absolve him of all these atrocities because Tempering--then look at his creation, his Light-Tempered corrupted from birth creation, the twenty-foot-tall Hume with the bendy straw neck and a Lightwarden forced into his chest, the guy quite clearly mad, the guy who was never asked if he wanted this and who wasn’t even born when it was forced on him, and condemn him for acting as he was made and conditioned to act by rat grandpa and rat grandpa’s pal, Vauthry’s father, because obviously Vauthry is not affected by the corruption forced on him at all, no sir. Against every bit of evidence to the contrary, Vauthry was in total control of himself, and so is to blame for everything. Because reasons. He was fully aware of reality despite being brainwashed into a bubble of lies. That uncontrollable urge to violence that was going to make your WoL kill their own friends? Nah, wouldn’t affect that kid without Hydaelyn’s Blessing, what a leap of logic that would be! Certainly wasn't rat grandpa’s fault, nope! Vauthry would’ve become a Lightwarden without anyone’s help! The Ascians just accidentally corrupted an unborn child and then saw him groomed to a “desired end”. Happens all the time. (Yoshi-P saying he would like us to consider if Vauthry was “really just a friend of the Sin Eaters, or was he being controlled by someone” was just a really oddly specific red herring. ) The folks I’ve countered definitely don’t give a thought to how frightened his mother looked while The Men (tm) discussed what to do with her body, either. Consent is only valid if convenient when it’s rat grandpa. (”Respects women” my fat ass.) And whatever happened to grooming children being fucking gross, Tumblr dot com? Because Vauthry was a child. Just because he didn’t grow up into your dating sim wet dream doesn’t mean what was done to him was remotely okay.

These people couldn't just relent neither one may have had control. There isn't a fraction of the Deeper Understanding spared to Vauthry that they seek to give rat grandpa for genocide.

They just have to make sure the fat guy they don’t want to, uh, take screenshots with gets what he "deserves".

Kaylor: The hidden true timeline

Sometimes reality exceeds our expectations, and oftentimes we are not aware that such reality exists. Until we take a deeper look.

I recently finished reading a (controversial) fanfic by a certain writer (If you’re an old Kaylor you know which fanfic, if you’re new, it’s called “Kaylor: The timeline”) and what stood out for me the most about that fanfic is that it is incredibly accurate in the way it tells the story, a story that is well thought of, it has a chronological coherence and character construction that is very difficult to surpass. The amazing thing about it is not the story in itself, but rather the level of insight it gives about the characters, behavior analysis, recognition of complex emotions and its roots in the characters, as well as a constant foreshadowing of the aesthetics of the coming era (reputation era). I think that because of this complexity and the level of details included, both Karlie and Taylor wrote it. How did I arrive to that conclusion (that many of you older Kaylors also suspect to be true)? -I'll be focusing only on the authorship of the fanfic, if you want me to analyze the story, leave a comment!-

Well, let’s see. The fanfic has an element of entertainment to it (no, that’s not my strongest argument, but hold on), it’s as if the writer knew which parts of the story to highlight in order for the readers to be engaged with the story from the beginning. But it doesn’t JUST take a good story for a book to be read (or in this case, a Wattpad book), you need to have the right characters in your story for people to feel identified with and represented by them. In essence, the story needs to make sense, needs to remain just a story (that means having the right amount of fantasy and the right amount of truth so that it still feels real), it needs to have complex yet relatable characters that appeal to the essential parts of human nature, and a relatively simple vocabulary (unless your expected audience is very educated) along with descriptive (visual) language, because the public has to imagine the situations the characters are going through, as well as their very environment. Also, your use of your chosen lexicon has to convey all the meaning of your story in its simplicity. I don’t know about you, but these requirements feel like the abilities of a very advanced writer, and not one that just posts random stories that they created in their head after reading a tabloid in the line of the supermarket.

Anyway, as seen above, our “fanfic” writer claims to have never had any experience at personal writing before this fanfic, which is very suspicious, given the amount of reads that this fanfic has (1.7 Million at the moment of writing this post) as well as the good reviews and people commenting on Wattpad how that is their 4th or 5th time reading the entire fanfic all over again, meaning that for the reads to be this high, the writing has to be at least really good.

I cut the screenshot here, but if you go to the first chapter of the fanfic you’ll see more people commenting similar things.

Now, with regards to the foreshadowing I talked about earlier, the fanfic was written in early 2016, and the reputation era began in late 2017, plus we know Taylor plans her tours and eras one year ahead, therefore she needed to plan the reputation era and tour one year ahead (see section Event promoters), despite her saying in a GMA interview from Lover era that she only plans 6 months in advance (which is just impossible due to recording dates, negotiations, hiring booking agents for the countries she will perform in, meetings to discuss marketing strategies, aesthetics of every era, etc…), therefore by 2016 she had at least some idea of how the 6th era was going to look like. This fanfic weirdly coincides with the aesthetics of reputation long before reputation was released. Hmmm…

This fanfic AU was last updated on February 2016.

“Interesting… Tell me more about this writer”.

Alright. Also, It’s a she and she has a Tumblr account that I took time to carefully read.

Our writer turns out to be a she.

But before I go into really heavy stalking further detail, read this disclaimer: I am no behavioral analysis expert, I do not possess any type of psychology major or minor, I’m not even doing an undergraduate course of psychology, this is me applying all the books I’ve read about human psychology as it is my hobby. I’m a Computer Science student. Having said that, let’s dive right in!

Now, this is what I observed when looking through KaylorFanfiction’s profile:

1. The writer doesn’t share, reblog, post pictures frequently or makes her personal opinion known in topics outside the fanfic(s) or writing in general. (I observed this after spending a significant amount of time scrolling down her blog and just noticing her behavioral patterns).

2. Assertive (short answers to asks on Tumblr).

3. Usually writes in caps to highlight important things (just like Taylor), words or phrases might be uppercase.

If you’re wondering about the numbers, they are questions.

Okay, let’s see Taylor now:

4. The writer is 6 feet tall (like our favorite supermodel).

5. The writer is enthusiastic about feedback (like Taylor).

6. Has one female dog named Phoebe Buffay (A pet named after a well-known tv show character.)

Interesting to note that in the second ask, the writer tells that she has only had one puppy, which reminds me of a certain someone who also has only one puppy:

7. Is in college. Or was.

I say was because, although we have pictures of Karlie on her first day of school at NYU, it isn’t completely believable due to a lack of attendance later on if you google “Karlie Kloss attending NYU”, therefore my conclusion is that her proximity to a college environment comes actually from her brother, who truly attended Notre Dame University. An interesting observation that may back my induction is that if you go to KaylorFanfiction’s profile you’ll find that when she talks about college she never specifies which one she’s attending, for that same reason, if it was true that Karlie attended, then she would have no other choice than to be proud of her wife girlfriend through her secret alternative account for her achievements (I mean, it’s NYU, who wouldn’t be proud?). Taylor The writer might have wanted to tell the narrative of a broke college student (the exact opposite of what Taylor is) to go unnoticed on social media, but the quality of the story and the richness of it made it unbelievable that the story came from an inexperienced writer (more on that later on).

In other words, this account was Taylor’s escape bubble where she could talk freely and give her opinions without dealing with the consequences. I was afraid I could be breaking that bubble with this post, but considering that she said she no longer uses the account, I figure that It was safe for me to post this.

8. Has been making connections with literary agents and small publishing presses (as detailed above).

Guess who also makes connections with certain agents and publishing agencies… (See the manager and booking agents)

9. Has a passion for music and wanted to learn how to play guitar on her own as a teenager but stopped.

10. Reads books about music (detailed above) and learns about music in general, from a very young age.

11. Writes original content outside fanfic.

Interesting, given that she never had written something personal before (personal as in of her own making, not as in the fanfic is her life), that makes me question what did she write about before this fanfic? Journalism? But she is obsessed with music, she told us that herself. Could that original content possibly be… songs?

So far we know she is obsessed with music, she discovered she liked to write novels (I’d rather say books) through writing this fanfic, even though she doesn’t read fanfic at all, wonder where she got the inspiration and experience to make it the most read fanfic of that topic on Wattpad if she also never did anything personal, which makes me now believe that by personal she meant her life, because there is no way you can never have done anything of your own creation while having original work. Therefore, the original work she refers to, are songs (as detailed above when saying she wanted to do something with songs). She could have meant anything by saying she wanted to do something with songs, but so far, these are many many coincidences pointing to Taylor the authorship of a particular individual, and as BBC’s Sherlock said: “The universe is rarely so lazy”.

12. The author never reads fanfic stories.

13. The writer doesn’t like speculation. Compare to Taylor’s 25th birthday tweet.

Interesting…the author is not into speculating, yet she wrote an entire fanfic on a relationship she claims is not real to her. Basically, she ignored the definition of “speculation”.

Thus, if we wanted to make sense of the reasons for her particular fanfic creation writing taking into account that she doesn’t like speculating and that this is just a creative outlet, we would have to assume that what she writes in her story is based on an objective truth, her speech again (not liking speculation) is contradicted by the mere fact that Wattpad is for aspiring writers looking to share their work with the world (usually a fictitious work). So, if our writer doesn’t like speculation, yet creates a “fictional” story on a site dedicated to that purpose, she’s either lying about not liking speculation or she’s hiding the truth in a platform dominated by fiction in the hopes no one will see (through) it. Okay, maybe she’s lying about not liking speculation (after all, people lie all the time), but given the continuous similarities of our writer’s personality with Taylor’s, and the fact that in the universe everything is interconnected, this can’t be a coincidence. But why would Taylor go to such lengths to tell mostly the truth? Well, given Taylor’s character and the way she rose to fame (through what she called “Opening up her diaries for the world to see”) there is an inherent need in her for self-expression, but she can’t express herself freely all the time (remember the behind-the-scenes interview where she’s filming Lover video and she says her life is like a fishbowl) because her career is image-based, and one picture will outspeak any word or explanation she might have. Thus, she might have to go to these or more lengths to truly express herself and her beliefs in order to keep her mental health and creativity flowing.

14. The writer loves to add drama to her writing.

15. The writer has an inclination toward social justice (similar to that of Taylor).

💞Hello! I wanted to get this out bc I just watched APINK’s ‘I’m so sick’ MV and I am so absolutely happy the queens came back!! It’s been too long since I’ve seen their faces 💞

💕disclaimer: i’m no expert on astrology but these are my interpretations of the signs and how they’re working based on my experiences with them. With Pisces Sun natives, they often come across as a little more dreamy and whimsical than any other sign out there.

Often times, people with Libra moon might not say what they want or how they feel, but they would expect their partner to know through telepathy/pay attention to them. They have to learn how to verbalize their need and not feel personally offended when someone doesn’t understand where they’re coming from.

Chorong with her ego/sense of self (Pisces Sun/Cancer Decan) and her emotions (Libra Moon/Aquarius Decan) might tend to swap these two placements. Since air-moon can be harder to deal with on an emotional level, and her sun is influenced by Cancer/Moon-- she might’ve confused her ego/sense (Sun) of self for her emotions, and her emotional response (Libra) for her sense of self sometimes.

Be sure to really scrutinize this inside of herself and work to try and separate the two, because it might’ve benefit her short-term, but long-term it can lead to her lashing out to people for not understanding her when she doesn’t even understand herself. She can easily lose her sense of self this way, especially if she feels like she’s emotionally dissatisfied with something no matter what she does about it.

Having a Libra moon can be very beneficial for someone, especially in an artistry career. Since Libra is ruled by Venus, people with Libra moon has a keen sense and intuition for aesthetic and harmonious quality in their environment. They won’t stop until everything is to their satisfaction or ‘feels right’ for them-- they’re adept home makers and workers in fields such as design, fine art, make up artistry, culinary etc.

Yoon Bomi August 13 1993 (Suwon, South Korea) Leo Sun/Gemini Moon

Our mood maker Bomi, it’s no wonder she’s the mood maker with this placement!

With a Sun in Leo and Moon in Gemini there’s a need for performance and self-expression in entertaining people. There’s also a sense of accomplishment in connecting to others around her and learning/striving to grow bigger through her network and performances.

Leo Sun natives can be shy, but there’s a sense of honorability to them that’s ingrained in their self-confidence. They sway people through just being themselves, and often people look up to them and respect them for standing up for themselves/others no matter the circumstances.

Bomi’s Leo Sun is particularly fiery considering it’s co-ruled by Mars/Aries. Unlike typical Leo Sun natives, Bomi’s much quicker to react to situation and often uses her influences to help those around her as well. If something is not to her standard/wrong she’ll immediately bring it up to attention and confront the situation.

Aries decan doesn’t like leaving things to ‘later’ -- they’d rather confront it now and often instigate activities between people around them. They’re the type to see a messy situation and go ‘ok, let’s handle this’ and gather everyone around them to see how to solve the problem.

Especially with a Gemini moon co-ruled by Libra/Venus, there’s a love for harmony and team-work here. Bomi’s emotions depends on harmonious environment, if something is wrong like tension between the members or tension between the staff- she’s the type to gather everyone and try to listen to all sides to get the real story before solving it.

Gemini moons are communicative, and although they can have short attention span they are often very entertaining to be around. Combined with her Leo Sun who’s ego is fueled by being able to perform and express oneself on stage. Bomi can go very far in the variety field and I’m glad she got the opportunity to explore this route in her career.

Since her Moon is fueling her Sun, her ability to communicate rapidly with multiple groups of people and come across harmoniously (Venus influence) amplifies her self-confidence and sense of self-expression (Leo Sun) -- she can tend to be a bit more competitive because everything in her chart is so reactive.

Bomi has to watch out that her sense of self-confidence doesn’t switch from Leo/Sun to Mars/Aries and that she doesn’t overdo the very delicate balance between Venus/Mars she has going on right now since her emotional response/coming across well can’t save her every time when her sun is involved.

Gemini moons also have a sense of not exactly knowing who they are inside since they’re rapidly moving from one group to another all the time.

Their sense of emotions/self can be tied to their groups of friends and the ‘persona’ they project when in front of these friends. Although she has a pretty healthy Sun/Ego so she might know who she is, often she can change her temper/emotions from one group to another and others might feel that she doesn’t treat others equally sometimes.

It’s not a big deal, but she has to look out not to get defensive or aggressive when confronted/criticized for her integrity sometimes.

Sure, her Leo sun might save her but it’s her Gemini moon that’s causing the problem here. As long as she acknowledges this part inside of herself and tries to accept who she is inside whilst taking the criticism constructively, it’ll project outward in a calmer manner and she’ll stop ‘putting up faces’ in front of people all the time.

It’ll help lessen the load on herself and other’s alot, and it’ll allow her Venus-influence to work better for her as well.

She has an amazing Leo Sun AND Moon in 3rd Decan. God knows she probably fights with Bomi alot, since they’re so amazingly similar.

Since her Sun and Moon is ruled by Leo, her sense of self is exemplified, she feels the most comfortable on stage when she can perform and give it her best shot. Rather than just acting or varieties, Eunji truly loves performing and singing.

She’s highly competitive as well, since they’re co-ruled by Mars/Aries. There’s this childish energy about her that endears the other members to her, her sense of self is so expressive and full of confidence it’s impossible not to like her.

Since her sun is also in her moon, they’re intimately linked towards one another. Leo Moon can tend to be abit more reserved, and they show the lighter trait of Leo Suns.

They’re sensitive people, who often gets their feelings hurt when others close to them criticize their integrity and sense of self-expression. They just want to make other people happy, and when they can’t they’re much harder on themselves than they are on others.

Often prone to sulking or lashing out (Mars-influence) they’re often impatient people who would rather solve everything now rather than wait until later or give anyone the cold shoulder.

The really good thing about her is, she’s pretty straight forward. There’s no ulterior motives or dirty tricks with her, she gives it as it is and works hard to solve a situation. If she needs to do something, she’ll get it done.

Leos are hard worker, sure they like to play hard work hard, but ultimately they want recognition and joy through their endeavors. They want to share that joy with others around them, that’s why Eunji being able to perform on stage and succeeding as an idol is so so good to her.

It’s no wonder that she’s known as the Happy Virus because her Leos really do bring joy to others around her. She’s honorable, dependable and calming-- she won’t be prone to lashing out aggressively or hanging out with people who will ultimately deceive her.

Often times Leos have such a strong sense of honor and chivalry that it might intimidate those around them, sure they’re chill and very laid back to be around (all fire signs are) but they absolutely won’t stand for things they deem ‘bad’. If there’s a difference in opinion, they are extremely hard headed and often so self-assured they make the other person question themselves until they shift over to their side instead. (Fixed sign)

God her beauty is understated, even with all the gossip about plastic surgery going around, Naeun’s chart has always had that emphasis on Venusian quality tied to her sense of self, so whether she choose to do it or not, it’s completely benefiting her anyways and if it makes her feel more comfortable with herself? That’s great!

In fact let’s just chat about this controversy for a little bit. Naeun has her Aquarius sun in the 3rd decan which is ruled by Libra/Venus. Although she has a unique look about her, an independent and strong women who takes pride in her individuality and freedom of self-expression. She has a keen sense on style and aesthetic that fits her. She knows what’s good for her. And often times, it’s not going to follow the trend. If she did have plastic surgery, it would’ve been contemplated over many times. Because if there’s anything an Aquarius hates more than anything it’s following the trend and being stamped as looking the ‘same as everyone else’. Naeun choosing to do it, she would’ve had full control and artistic direction on what exactly she wants and how it’s going to enhance her. It would’ve been progressive, she took a trope of looking exactly alike and flipped it on it’s head. And the result? Well the public fucking loves it. No matter what kind of press is happening, Naeun’s decision (IF she did the plastic surgery at all-- which to be fair? it’s not a big deal?) ultimately resulted in multiple people falling head over heels for her. That’s some fucking strong Aquarius/Libra influence right there.

She knows herself so fucking well it’s amazing. Aquarius are progressive thinkers, and she shows this. Outdated ideas just doesn’t have a place in her life, and if she could have it her way, in no ones life at all.

She’s so freeing to be around because she just stick it to the patriarchy, personal or social conditioning is lost on her once she fully realized her Aquarius potential. She could be a beauty queen, but why would she put herself in the box when she can be so much more? Gosh, she’s part of the reason why Apink probably survived to this day honestly.

With her moon in observant, she’s really fucking smart. Especially since it’s working in tandem with Mercury/Gemini (2nd Decan) -- she can easily let her feelings/opinions be heard and accepted by a large variety of people.

Air moons needs a lot of mental stimuli, particularly inside of themselves (Aquarius Moon) and then from the people around them (Gemini Decan) it becomes a cycle that they use to inform their ideas. Instead of being more in-tune with her emotions, she tends to have a harder time even slowing down to think about how she feels at all.

Unlike Libra’s influence that often knows how they feel compared to Gemini/Aquarius counterpart, Naeun probably has to sit down and think about how she feels for a few days before she can even begin to properly form sentences to describe what it is she’s feeling if at all. It can be taxing for reactive signs like Eunji or emotional sign like Chorong to deal with this-- but since all the members have such strong Fire-Air going for them, it’s most likely that the mood of the team usually isn’t so dependent on heavier substantial emotional talks between the members.

It’s very action oriented, and socially oriented. She’s very good at getting people to help her or understand what she wants.

Naeun probably uses her Aquarius influence on alot of things, mostly Aquarius energy can be as determined as Eunji or Bomi. But unlike how competitive they are, Naeun’s Aquarius is so fixed and argumentative it probably won’t back down from an argument unless she really has to apologize.

Also Aquarians are so fucking intelligent. Naeun knowing Chinese and being able to land multiple roles in dramas and MVs isn’t a fluke or charm. It’s her intellect and coming across professionally (see: Hoseok, Seulgi).

She’s such a strong independent women inside, that people often underestimate her constantly. But she uses that vice to the best of her abilities and turn it around into being so impressed by her-- they had to hire her. She’s not a fool.

Kim Namjoo April 15, 1995 (Seoul, South Korea) Aries Sun/Libra Moon

Aries sun has this childish, youthful charm to them. They’re energizing to be around, even when they’re not doing anything at all. Often times they’re pretty laid back people around close friends/families, they love activities since it enriches their ego/life-- but they love doing activities with a group of close friends instead of larger associates.

Aries sun are so endearing because they’re so honest and forth-wright with you, if they think something is wrong they’ll say it. Often they’re very supportive and feels ‘fired up’ when they hear wrong-doings that happens to others around them.

Sure they can be abit ‘me’ centered, but it doesn’t harm anyone. In fact that’s how they come across as a bit ‘dramatic’ -- if you just let them be, they’ll eventually solve itself. With Namjoo being 2nd youngest, she probably takes this opportunity to use the ‘2nd youngest’ card on the unnies alot.

Namjoo’s Aries moon is tied to the 3rd decan which is ruled by Jupiter/Sagittarius. Most likely, her ‘tantrums’ have some limit to them. She can appear to be so wise and a stabilizing advice giver in private to the unnies.

Sagittarius influence makes the Aries energy calmer, it’s really good balance since Sagittarius are abit more introverted than Leos/Aries as well. She might be tired, a bit more light hearted, cracks jokes and enjoy calming time with the members alot more behind close doors.

Combined her Aries sun with her Libra moon, it’s no wonder she’s good at impersonation. Aries sun doesn’t have the same qualms or shyness that Leo possesses, they have no shame (Sagittarius decan) - in fact, her Libra moon is influenced by Aquarius which makes her want to stand out. Being able to do impersonations? No problems. Making a fool of herself? As long as it’s not at her expense (too badly) she’s fine with it too. She’s all in for the sake of entertainment, in and out of the industry honestly.

Having a Libra moon makes one really adaptable to others around them, honestly it’s kind of like Chorong but inverse? She’s sometimes confused about what she wants but she won’t push it on others. Outwardly she’s sure, calm and confident. She takes pride on her intellect and she’s not afraid to show it off (being more fluent in Chinese than even Naeun) but inside she might be abit more unsure of who she really is. Often times she’s most comfortable when someone is with her, likes hanging out in groups or other people-- her Sun is so healthy it balances her out pretty well.

Not really prone to thinking much about stuff? She’s made entirely out of Air and Fire placement that are healthy for her. She doesn’t really have anything much to worry about when push comes to shove-- she’ll come through it well enough with minimal burns too.

Oh Hayoung July 19 1996 (Seoul, South Korea) Cancer Sun/Virgo Moon

Ok so you know how she’s good at guessing/intuition? It’s because of her sun-- her Cancer Sun (Moon ruled) is influenced by Neptune/Pisces which have dominion over the subconscious/intuition.

It’s similar to Chorong, but Hayoung can show this better because of her Virgo moon. She knows herself and she knows how to showcase stuff about herself-- it feeds her self-confidence/ego better because she has streamlined communication between her head and her heart.

With Cancer Sun influenced by Neptune/Pisces, she feels the guess inside her soul sometimes. It becomes sort of a six sense, something she can feel palpably in her being instead of just ‘guessing’ or ‘feeling out’ the guess. This is because it’s in her sun, the core of her being, her hard wire. You sometimes don’t have to feel/know your sun to know it’s there, but ultimately it’s a part of you that makes you work like you.

Her mature appearance is all due to that Cancer/Virgo influence. If you think about it like this, her Cancer sun rules her face and her Virgo moon rules her eyes. Your sun/moon comes through on your face no matter what sign it’s in.

Cancers are nurturers of the zodiacs, they’re called ‘the mum’ because their sister sign Capricorn is ‘the dad’ -- it’s all gender-bull to be honest I don’t even like that stuff, but its based on the idea that Cancer rules the 4th house which talks about the home, family life and often childhood/mothers/women in our life. Hayoung has that feminine caring look about her, and her Virgo moon adds the maturity to her face.

With Virgo moons it can be one of the harder placement to have since earth-signs moon tends to take on their experience and show their age through whatever it is on their face. Capricorns often have that sober look in their face/eyes because of this. With Virgos-- they’re hard workers. They’ve been through alot, but ultimately they’re not downtrodden by the world yet. They’re mature and sophisticated women, they’re classy and simple-- an elegant classic. Combined with her Cancer appearance it makes her look like a reliable and older lady who has her life together.

This doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true. In fact, Virgo moons often have to face hardship on their own. Virgo wants to do good for the world, they’re a mercury sign and they’re more communicative than any other earth sign out there. Often times Hayoung probably brings up good practical solution, has alot more patience and listens to her unnies before suggesting a good solution to all their problems. She’s the ONLY person in the team who has an earth-sign in her Sun/Moon-- and that affects the overall dynamic and temperament of others a lot.

Since everyone else is either ruled by Air or Fire, having an earth moon can be slower moving and stabilizing for the whole team. The unnies probably adore her, because she has this sense of stability in her? It brings security and stead fastness, if someone (Naeun/Chorong) needs to be with someone she’ll be there. If someone needs someone to supervise them or check their ideas (Eunji/Bomi) she’s the person to go to. There’s something just so dependable in earth-sign moons it really helps settle the external environment around them.

With this said, it can be hard on the person who has the Virgo moon themselves. Virgos are notoriously self-decrepitating and harsh on themselves. If they feel like they aren’t accepted or validated by the world or people close to them, they become cripplingly vulnerable to themselves.

They often need to be reassured that they’re appreciated by others, that their work has paid off and that their efforts are working out the way they want it to work.

They’re tireless workers, and often times they won’t stop until they reach that emotional satisfaction where they’re like ‘ok now let’s see the results’-- they need it to be overwhelmingly positive.

She has to watch out not to overwork herself or place too much pressure on herself this way since it can do more harm than good. Moderation and regulation is the key here, as well as learning how to enjoy the lighter things in life -- her unnies can teach her that.

What’s in the Box Reveal (finally)

A little later than expected… here is the unboxing of the Village Witch Shop’s Monthly Subscription Box – Samhain Edition!

First off, I need to explain that I have paid for this box, it’s not a freebie for me to review, the views expressed are all my own... not that anyone would want to lay claim to them anyway.

Next, I should also say that I’m not affiliated with the Village Witch shop other than being a customer for 2 or 3 years and a member of their Facebook Tribe page. I’ve never met any of their staff and all I receive from doing this review is a bit of enjoyment in sharing these things with you all.

Let’s get on with it. What’s in the damn box?

Today’s blog entry is just about the unboxing. First impressions and all that. The sub boxes are usually themed and this one is naturally about Samhain and honouring the ancestors. The next one I believe is a health, healing and motivational theme and then of course there’s going to be the Yule box.

My apologies for having to use flash on the photos, we’re having stormy weather here and my dreams of outside photos on the lawn have been both literally and figuratively blown away!

I will be following up with another post when I have used the items and I’ll review the bits and pieces individually then.

Apart from the treat pack, I’ll deal with that now. That’s a fun bit of the box where Bexz and the rest of the Village Witch staff put together a small selection of things to drink and nibble on while you unpack the box. This month there were a couple of Twining’s herbal teas in luxury seasonal flavours, a Wagon Wheel biscuit, a chewy lollipop, some sweet foam vampire teeth and a Halloween chocolate coin. It’s not supposed to be anything sensibly witchy, just nice. It’s mine so hands off (it’s all gone already anyway, and it was nice). I suppose I should mention that there are some people with allergies or dietary requirements who subscribe too, all you need to do is tell the shop and they’ll sort it out for you. No one misses out on the fun stuff!

All the bottles and breakables are securely wrapped in bubble wrap which takes a bit of time to unwrap! One of my dogs has a thing about bubble wrap and wants to kill it which makes it very slow going but he’s happy although he’s never allowed to get his teeth near it!

Randomly putting my hand in the box brings out the Samhain Oil. It’s handmade to their own family recipe with essential oils, herbs and other bits floating about in it, it’s not a base oil with colour and scent added and sold to an unsuspecting public. It’s also been blessed and is ready to go – I think all their own blends of whatever are blessed. Opening the 10 ml bottle you can see it’s practically filled to the brim. It smells very nice with citrus notes – maybe some cinnamon, lavender, aniseed too? I’m not great at picking out individual scents from a blend but I find the smell comforting. My female dog likes this a lot and doesn’t want to stop sniffing it.

Next, I have the Remember the Ancestors Ink in the same type of 10 ml glass bottle. This is really filled right to the top! The ink is opaque white and has a gentle scent to it that I’m going to fail to describe, it’s just pleasant and a little like the oil but not as citrussy. The Village Witch says that it can be used with dipping pens, paintbrushes and so on. It can be thinned down with a little water if you want to use it in cartridge pens should it be too thick. I have a couple of their other inks and they work very well with the glass dipping pen I have.

The bottle of Invoke Spirits water is about 50 ml. It has a vaguely similar scent again to the oils with a citrus background and has a load of herbs and bits floating around including an intriguing big flower blossom of some kind! It definitely has floral notes to it, maybe I can smell lavender in there too? Normally you can dilute and use these waters as floor washes, put them diluted in spray bottles (which is what I normally do), pour into offering bowls or flick the water around as you please, but I know this bottle is going to be used for the Samhain spell, so I must resist!

The aura spray I expect to be amazing, I think their aura sprays are the single most useful thing ever. They can be used to replace incense, which for me is great as I can only use it occasionally due to my other half who sneezes at the drop of a hat and generally makes out that I’m trying to poison him. You can use the spray to bless your altar/workspace, cleanse the room and just generally scent the area as much as you like. Again, it’s handmade to their private recipe but this time there are no bits in here to clog the spray. Oh dear, I’ve got to somehow describe the scent now. It’s a sweet spices smell, such as cinnamon, cloves, maybe aniseed in there? I suppose the seasonal pumpkin spices. There’s a familiar tone to it too that I have in a perfume – my Valentino V Absolut has the same base note and that’s a warm comforting scent too. This one may be a special edition for subscribers - I forget so don’t shout at me if I’m wrong. I’m delicate. The bottle contains 100 ml and the spray is very fine – and believe me, you don’t need many squirts to scent the room it’s heavily scented.

The Ancestral Herb and Root mix sachet is erm… a mix of roots and herbs. It’s going to be used in its entirety for the Samhain spell. I’m not opening this one until it’s needed as I can envisage bits of it dropping everywhere. So, I don’t have much to say about this one. Hurrah!

What are we up to now? Let’s go for the Invoke Spirits incense blend. This one is in a 50 ml tub and it’s the kind that you burn on a charcoal disc. I can see at least two types of resin chunks glistening in there, rose petals (I think), pumpkin seeds, lavender and other things lurking too. This one to me does smell of lavender quite a bit with the resins and whatever else is in there giving it a deeper intriguing scent. I love their loose incense and I shall go outside with it on a nice night and burn it in the garden where I can enjoy it without having to listen to my other half moan!

The Thinning of the Veil salts mix is in a clear small glass jar. I know a little of this is needed for the spell this month. It’s a mix of sea or rock salt (I forget which) and Epsom salts blended with herbs. It’s naturally not as strongly scented as some of the other products in the box but has a gentle scent that follows the theme of the others and looks very pretty. Salts are very useful in spell work and greatly overlooked in my opinion so it’s nice to see one included here – it’s a subscriber’s edition too!

There’s a lot in the box to get through but moving on I have the skull jar or bottle. It’s a clear glass bottle moulded in the shape of a skull with a cork stopper. I’m not sure how much liquid it holds, I’ll find out for next time for you, but it’s a fair sized piece. The glass is quite thick and there’s more weight to it than I expected. I’m excited about using this and really pleased with it aesthetically, I know it’s going to be part of the Samhain spell too. It’s going to look great when filled and in use.

The skull coaster is also going to be part of the Samhain spell, it’s a nicely detailed (possibly resin) coaster. I suppose it could be used as a coaster later but I’m intending to use it as an offering plate, echoing its use in the much-mentioned Samhain spell as a dumb supper plate.

The information parchment contains a greeting and basic information about the included items and their purpose, how to get help or more information if you don’t know already and the spell for this month’s box. I’ve blurred the spell part in the photos as it’s a spell for us subscribers and it wouldn’t be nice to share something freely that’s been created for us paying for it. I don’t want to annoy the Village Witch subbers lest I be turned into a toad 🐸.

I’m nearly done – the two candles are left, and they should be straightforward. One is a black mini spell candle. Black is associated with remembrance and those who have passed over. The orange tealight is nicely scented and smells like an orange sherbet. Yes, you just know I’m going to say these are part of the Samhain spell too…

It’s been a lot to get through but that’s one of the reasons these boxes are popular and often sell out. The cost is £30 GBP including postage and this month’s box contained the value of over £50 of goods – you can find out what the boxes are going to contain in the sub box reveal livestream Facebook videos which you can access as a subscriber. They do post overseas outside the UK for £45 GBP delivered. According to their website you always get a minimum of £40 of supplies and at least one thing is a subscriber’s edition not available in the shop.

These boxes are geared toward Traditional witchcraft rather than Wicca, which is why some things may be unfamiliar at times to the practising Wiccan, but the items are designed to be crossover things and easily adapted. For Honor and the Importance of Positioning

I play a good deal of For Honor, and have experienced a lot of the new game mode Breach, and all that experience has given me a fair few points to make on the subject of positioning. First however, I must explain, at least a little, who I used to play, and who I play now. I am fickle with my mains, and swap around between factions and classes on whims at best. My first rank up was with the Japanese as Nobushi, before I began my foray deep into the Viking classes, first with Raider, then dabbling with Valkyrie, and stopping for a stretch of time on Warlord. Now Warlord left me in an odd spot and I’ll explain why in my roundabout manner. I firmly believe that given enough thought, each hero in the game can be distilled down to a single, or perhaps two words. For Warlord, the word is Traditional. You can see very clearly in his intro video that his profession is one of tradition. His sword and shield, his status as a leader and the earning of his title are all viking traditions. Topping that off with the story, and the fact that the only true leaders of the viking people are warlords really cements the word. I realize of course the player character is a raider for most missions, but I put him more in the role of general or hero, an exceptional fighter that people gather around, rather than a true leader. The same goes for the only other viking leaders, as both Ragnar and Sif were less true leaders and more strong personalities. I’ll talk lore in another post some other time. Anyway, both Gudmundr and the jarl who I can’t remember were warlords, and both showed that they were capable jarls and warlords, the one I’m blanking on with his bold attack strategy of the Japanese, and Gudmundr with his control of a small but terrifying wolf pack, and near limitless bravery to defend his people in the face of the Blackstone Legion. Anyway, the warlord’s gameplay is also very traditional if that makes any sense. He has simple and to the point combos, heavy light, or light heavy, and very little in the way of extra weight. He isn’t here to show off flashy tactics, he’s here to bulwark for his people. Playing him is an interesting experience due to the fact that in lieu of an opening attack that’s viable he can headbutt, and stab for damage afterwards.This, along with his only real combo makes him an odd play, as usually your thought process is on external fighting factors, rather than the best way to get around the guard the enemy presents. I enjoy that aspect of him, but playing him in breach didn’t suit my wants so I switched to a heavy even heavier than the Warlord. I chose Shugoki, the samurai heavy hero, and if there is a word to describe him it would undoubtedly be unreasonable. On top of his trailer, showcasing how terrifying brutal he is in combat (On top of them making the Oni reference, which seem only natural when he wields a Kanabo) It’s alluded to that his club is entirely unreasonable, which yes, in a land comprised mostly of fine edge thin steel swords designed for slicing through most objects found on a human body in combat, a giant fracking club with iron studs is very unreasonable. On top of that this word carries over to his gameplay, where everything he does is as unreasonable as his weapon. again, only two combos, light heavy and heavy heavy, along with the other combat tricks he has. Fighting a Shugoki can be an absolute drag due to his natural stance, making the first attack against him not stagger him out of his moves. because of this, a good Shugoki can exploit the resetting animations of attacks against his enemies and push through with the armor, setting up guardbreaks and heavies and whatnot. After the armor, he possesses a headbutt on a confirmed first hit, meaning if his bat connects, he can headbutt the enemy, eating away a, once more here, unreasonable amount of stamina. Moving on he can charge his first heavy attack, making it unblockable and do more damage. When I say more damage, I mean half of a lighter characters health bar. I don’t think I need to say the theme word here. Finally he can initiate a rather long animation for a grab. If it lands, he heals based on his missing health, and does damage for the same amount. At critical health state, this will instant kill any hero. I do mean any hero, even the heaviest of heavies with a full health shield wont survive. Not very reasonable now is it? Shugoki is enjoyable for sure, but due to a certain lack of speediness, I decided to offset my play with him, and main into someone else of a faster variety. Enter Peacekeeper, who I will call PK because of the length of her full name. PK is the fastest of heroes, matched by the actual ninja and a crazy viking lady, which I think is pretty good. Back to the word of the hero, I would most likely label her Unexpected. Drawing from the trailer, she is, well, an assassin. It is Ubisoft after all, the obligatory sneak character was bound to be in the game. I enjoy the aesthetic, semi-forced though it may be, and moving to gameplay PK really does live up to her chosen word. First of all, being an assassin class, and in my opinion the truest of the assassin classes, she suplements her damage with bleeding, a mechanic that removes health over time. A fair few of PK’s combo options either end or can be mixed up with bleed hits, and working with that word, many a foe have found that while they were still moving around, they are unexpectedly dead. On top of that, she has stealth, what I view as the best perk in the game. Stealth removes PK from the hud entirely, meaning that unlike most other heroes, you have to actively find her on the battlefield. Now it isn’t especially hard to find a large moving hero, but not being on the hub means taking back paths and staying out of common sightlines gives you a near free path to side objectives and easy picking kills. Landing on top of that now, that PK’s only out of combat move is a guardbreak, a move which easily leads into her shanking the enemy thrice with a bleed dagger, and you have the perfect formula for an enemy player staring at their body toppling to the floor mere feet from a healing spot, all because I cut their healthbar down to zero. Now after all this long preamble I will actually talk about positioning, because all my playing has really made me privy to how important it is to be in the right place at the right time. Shugoki and PK represent two very different approaches to the mentality of positioning. PK, due to her movement and the stealth option, she can rather freely traverse the expansive map to get to where she wants to be, making her wonderfully adaptable. You can shift like water from defending the ram to getting an enemy off the ballista to stopping the other team from getting the shield banner, and back to whatever else my team needs. Shugoki on the other hand, is an absolute presence when he finally does show up to a location. Possessing the slowest in game movement speed, a 63 percent of PK’s speed, Shugoki has trouble getting from places to other places, making him much less adaptable. While he does have a dash that increases his speed nearly twofold, it drains too much stamina to spam, and the startup and ending animations mean that it’s not good for long distance travel, only short dashes to places. As I said however, once he gets there, Shugoki can easily turn a fight to his side. Between all of his options to change a battles flow (A player’s mindset is much different when their healthbar is halved, or their stamina is majorly low) and his amazingly powerful ability to ignore enemy troop damage, a Shugoki can execute an enemy in the midst of a teamfight, making sure they won’t get up again, despite the spearmens attempts to thwart him. I know I personally have turned tail many times when a Shugoki shows up as PK, just from the fact that if I don’t fight him absolutely alone I can’t guarantee my safety, and even then it’s a dangerous game. With his kit, Shugoki buries himself in a contested zone and rebuffs the enemy with his massive frame. He defies the flow and positioning, because for a final team, he is utterly unreasonable. I have to say to close this I love both of these heroes, and they each give me an amazing feeling of power when playing them. Playing PK I feel the smoothness of how she can pick and choose battles, and her graceful executions make me feel like a deadly ballerina. With Shugoki I feel like I’m playing a force of a nature, a man so powerful and indomitable that he is regularly compared to a literal demon. For God’s sakes the man crushes peoples heads with his bare hands, and his feet! I can never express how much I enjoy those twin feelings of power these Heroes give me, and at the end of every game, despite the win or loss, I still smile thanks to their lovely done presence, and I try my best to use my positioning knowledge to show off those ending poses.

1) How old were you when you first starting writing fan-fiction?

Ha! I was a teenager and it was Backstreet Boys – and smut didn’t exist the same way it does now but that’s another opinion for another day. What I wrote then was cutesy and romantic, probably because that was what I was daydreaming about, I guess. Just a reminder that my blog is NSFW if you’re under 18.

2) Do you prefer writing OC’s or reader inserts? Explain your answer.

I think I can get more depth from an OC but you also risk the Mary-Sue and you may pigeonhole your OC in race, sexuality etc. That can really open a can of worms with the reader, which is wholly understandable. Reader inserts are great in the way you can make it 100% person to the reader. They should imagine themselves (if that’s their choice) and not feel that the writer has alienated them in any way somehow but it is still difficult to please everybody.

3) What is your favorite genre to write for?

I like fluff – I like things that make you smile at the end, give the reader a little cuddle to maybe brighten their day.

4) If you had to delete one of your stories and never speak of it again, which would it be and why?

One that never made my masterlist – a Spider-Man super angst titled “How Long Do You Want to be Loved?”. I thought it as okay, pretty good even – but I guess people just want Bucky or Sebastian smut haha I hear you all!

5) When is your preferred time to write?

Morning when the little guy is napping ☺ Evening is hard because it’s when I play adulting catch up… or try not to fall asleep on the couch.

6) Where do you take your inspiration from?

I have a very overactive imagination, always have. And for most of my fics, I guess it’s pretty obviously the beautiful aesthetics of Sebastian Stan and to a lesser extent, Bucky Barnes.

7) In your Time Only Flies When You’re Around Series, what’s your favorite scene that you wrote?

Chapters 27 and 28 of TOFWYA – more so 28 as you get a pretty interesting insight into Sasha’s and Sebastian’s ways of coping when they’re out of sync. Long story short, they’re a mess.

8) Have you ever amended a story due to criticisms you’ve received after posting it?

Luckily – none! The joys of a smolblog maybe?

9) Who is your favorite character to write for? Why?

I love writing for Buckster – he’s a complex devil and has a lot of layers to work with and a body to die for. Thumbs up for the material, Sebastian.

10) Who is your least favourite character to write for? Why?

As per mentioned before – Peter Parker. That fic scarred me.

11) How did you come up with the title for the Time Only Flies When You’re Around Series?

It’s actually a song lyric as are the first few chapter titles: Belinda Carlisle – Valentine

I made a rule about you, I made a plan // For getting my feet back on the ground // Bury my face in clouds, for hours on end // But time only flies when you're around

12) How did you come up with the idea for the Time Only Flies When You’re Around Series?

I was just writing some stuff, pissfarting around and all of a sudden I’d written something similar to what Chapter 22 ended up being and that’s how it all began. 150k words of nonsense really.

13) Do you have any abandoned WIP’s? What made you abandon them?

Many – but there is a long Bucky multichap fic that deserves more of my attention. As his story has evolves via MCU, the story has changed a little.

14) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to?

I write one shots to TOFWYA, I don’t think I could write the sequel to it though. I’ve considered a full fic for Take Me to the Water but I doubt I will for an AU. Any sequels will be little one shots so at this stage, there is nothing planned.

15) Are there any stories that you wished you’d ended differently?

I ended Next Year very kitsch – I regret the last sentence as it currently is: You gave him a small smile, overwhelmed by his words. “I love you too, Bucky Barnes.” Blurgh.

16) Tell me about another writer(s) who you admire? What is it about them that you admire?

How much time do you have for me to talk about @whostheblondegirlwriting? Truly. My fandom soul mate. We are separated by far too many kilometres and time zones, but between her job and me mummying, we’re chatting at all hours of the day. She is a true gem and I adore her.

17) Do you have a story that you look back on and cringe when you reread it?

Luckily, it’s not available on A03 or Tumblr, but it’s still online elsewhere because I thought about it a few weeks ago – it was a Lords of Dogtown fic… and it was not good. Saying that, anything before that I would cringe at anything I’d written anyway ha!

18) Do you prefer listening to music when you’re writing or do you need silence?

Definitely music or the sound of the baby monitor that I find quite soothing.

19) Have you ever cried whilst writing a story?

Argh. “How Long Do You Want to be Loved” messed me up. Too many parental feels.

20) Which part of your Time Only Flies When You’re Around Series was the hardest to write?

The proposal. I went over it a thousand times. I thought, should it be romantic, should it be grand, should it be this or that? How it happened, just a couple in love, in the city they love, being themselves just seemed to fit when it finally came together.

21) Do you make a general outline for your stories or do you just go with the flow?

I occasionally outline – but mostly I just write, write, write and then start toying with it afterwards. I’m constantly chopping and changing, but I’m not pedantic about planning. It isn’t that kind of fic. Other multichaps I put a bit more planning and emphasis on.

22) What is something you wished you’d known before you started posting fan-fiction?

You’re only as good as your last fic and its reblogs. If you’re going to get hung up on likes/reblogs/comments, you’ll never publish something again. But it can be bloody disheartening at times.

23) Do you have a story that you feel doesn’t get as much love as you’d like?

Time Only Flies When You’re Around? Haha busted my ass on that beast for over a year. It has the hits but likes and comments are encouraging when received. When. I always considered publishing it on Tumblr, but I don’t know. It’s freely available on A03.

24) In contrast to 23 is there a story which gets lots of love which you kinda eye roll at?

Smut talks – I think Heatstroke is a little silly. But it gets hits.

25) Are any of your characters based on real people?

Nope – any characters, inc OC’s are all fictional. I don’t know if I could handle people in my real life if they were like my OC’s!

26) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten?

Any body that takes the time to leave a ‘yes!’, ‘omg’ to paragraphs of reiterating your story back to you – it’s amazing! Taking the time to leave a writer a comment makes our day.

27) What’s the harshest criticism you’ve gotten?

It still makes me laugh when I read it, not quite verbatim but it was along the lines of ‘I loved this fic but it’s gone a total 180. I’ll see how you continue but you know, I’m probably out of here’. While I know you can’t please anyone, it’s a strange comment. I’m old enough to appreciate constructive criticism. This was neither here nor there, but still hilarious!

28) Do you share your story ideas with anyone else or do you keep them close to your chest?

Back to my love, @whostheblondegirlwriting, we’re constantly taunting the other or beta’ing each others stuff when we have time to help the other (let alone write our own stuff!).

29) Do people know you write fan-fiction?

In real life? No. On this hellsite? I have made some amazing writing friends!

30) What’s you favorite minor character you’ve written?

Ollie in TOFWYA – she’s a completely stereotypical New Yorker, brash, in your face and on the other hand, Sasha’s best friend in the world and they’d do anything for each other. If you knew Ollie in real life, you’d absolutely hate her.

31) What spurs you on during the writing process?

People simply enjoying your work and letting you know is the most amazing aphrodisiac. I’ll never stop writing – whether it’s for myself or for other people to enjoy. Don’t ever be scared to let a writer know if you’ve enjoyed their work or if you haven’t, a writer should be able to accept your constructive criticism and will probably appreciate your feedback if you take the time to provide it respectfully! If you’re going to go on anon and talk shit, just don’t bother. It’s boring, childish and completely unoriginal. Shows true testament to your personality offline.

32) What’s your favorite trope to write?

Friends to Lovers. THEY WERE FRIENDS AND NOW THEY ARE… LOVERS!

33) Can you remember the first fic you read? What was it about?

Not a clue – but will assume it’s Backstreet Boys-related!

34) If you could write only angst, fluff or smut for the rest of your writing life, which would it be and why?

Big Bang: Jiyong

I was lowkey torn between Taeyang and Jiyong, but the more I thought about it, the more I loved the thought about with you and Jiyong. One thing you would love the most about Jiyong would be that he would let you be your own person, he wouldn’t want to smother you, and he’d be mushy and lovie dovie when needed. I could see Jiyong wanting to take another step in your relationship after a few months and you’d freak out slightly and he’d realize that it would be too soon. He’d let you vent about your fears and worries and you two would talk all night about your relationship and what times would be good to move on and when to chill out. There’d be some trial and error, but he’d completely understand you’d need time and he wouldn’t push you or make you uncomfortable. And another way he’d respect you is by keeping your relationship private. There are certain things that he would let the general public see, but your relationship isn’t people’s business, and he’d keep the details to yourselves. The most the general public would see would be a cute Instagram selfie or picture together and he’s just got a funny/cute/tease or joke type of caption. You travel with him a lot for his promotions you went with him to Paris. Date night would always be going out at night and goofing off around town, date night is always an adventure. Your main plan would always be to hang out at the apartment with take out, but that would be too boring, so you go out. You’ll even go out in sweats because why the f not? You’re spending time together, that’s all that matters! There is the occasional dinner date night where you’ll get dressed up, but those are normally for like anniversaries or dinner with the rest of Big Bang. There is very mild PDA between you two, backing up this statement from earlier on how Jiyong keeps your relationship private. But if you’re feeling cuddly and touchy, he wouldn’t mind at all. Alone time at the apartment is very cuddly and giggly, and you two are super sweet together, I love!!

iKon: Bobby

You and Bobby are like one of those couples that are almost completely opposite from each other, but you two work and y’all are super cute! You two will tease each other a lot, but you tease each other just far enough and when you’re around others it’s always funny to see their reactions. He’ll chill out for you, but you’ll also get hyper/crazy for him, it’s amazing how you two work. No one saw you coming. But the day Bobby saw you out at a shop, he just knew that he could get past that RBF face and see the real you, and he was successful. For the whole time that you are together, Bobby dedicates his time to make you as comfortable as possible. You would inform him that you’re not the best at maintaining long term relationships, and he’d understand and let you take the lead and move at a rate that is most comfortable for you. Though sometimes he’ll get really insecure and fill his mind with worries like you don’t love him enough, or you don’t want to be with him anymore. You do your absolute best to show him that you really do love him, it’s just a slow process for you, and Bobby will understand 100%. He loves to take you out to brunch or just lunch which is your bonding time, and he loves to come to your school and surprise you with lunch, which is always an iced coffee and your favorite sandwich. The smile on your face sends Bobby over the moon and he feels like the best boyfriend ever! He L O V E S to call you “my girl” while having a secure hand around your waist. Bobby is very chill, but he’s also not afraid to set someone straight if they were to get too comfortable. He’ll tend to get mushy with his feelings for you if you’re hanging out at the dorm cuddling and he’ll take a minute to think about all the things he loves about you. You’re left with a huge grin on your face, and Bobby is as red as a tomato, it’s so sweet! Date night will either be at a café, a dinner date when you two meet up with Hanbin and his boo, or going on late night adventures. You two love to get into just enough trouble and get lost in a city you’re not used to. You always end up home one way or another, and you always have a story to tell afterwards. Bobby complimenting you is an absolute must, from your make up that day, your outfit, to the way you did your hair, he’s always giving you compliments that’ll make you feel good about yourself and make you happy. And last but not least, you two will have PDA for days because Bobby loves to show people that you’re his girl, wink wonk.

NCT: Yuta

With all the members that are in NCT, there were many many options, but Yuta in my opinion, is the best option for you! Starting out, Yuta would allow you to take lead in the relationship sometimes. He doesn’t always want to take lead and seem over-bearing. The lead on where to eat, what to do, or even taking your relationship to another level will be split between the two of you, and you both can live freely and happily with each other. He can easily get you hyper as well, but lazy days to chill out are more important. Lazy days equals good take out food, comfortable sweats, and sweet pillow talk. Yuta will also spoil you a LOT, like getting you little presents here and there because you deserve to be treated like a princess. There would be a little conflict in moving further in your relationship and Yuta would over-react slightly and he would think you wouldn’t want him. Yuta can be stubborn, so it would take a bit of convincing to get Yuta back on the right side of the tracks. He’d also take time to get used to your RBF, so you’d hear, “are you sure you’re not mad?” often. The best bonding time you two would have would be getting something pierced and getting food afterwards, and laughing at the members when they’re like, “OMG YOU GOT ANOTHER PIERCING!?” You two would tease each other a lot, similar to how you and Bobby would tease each other. And Yuta would go the extra half-mile to mess with your hair sometimes because he thinks you’re cute when you’re annoyed. You hit him and laugh at him in revenge. Similar to the other two boys, you two will have late night talks about life and end up being really mushy and lovie with each other. Depending on who’s watching and who’s around will determine how much PDA Yuta will show, but his hand holding your hand is always a MUST. That’s Yuta’s universal way of showing you’re his girl. You get featured in V Lives a lot, and movie then dinner dates are the go to date for the two of you.

Pentagon: Hui

The most mature relationship out of the four ships, but there is still room for childishness and sweetness. Similar to Jiyong, he would allow you to be your own person. The only difference would be is that he would be a big more needy and mushy than Jiyong would be at times. He’d want you to be completely honest with him on when you feel like he is too overbearing, but he really does try his best to give you enough space. Then I also feel like Hui would have a good mentality for having a long term relationship, but whether he knew your commitment issues or not, he’d take his time to keep you comfortable, and he wouldn’t mind how much time you would need. Your dates are always going to be outside, whether it be night or day. Hui would always try to find some place new to keep the fire in date night, and he’d always enjoy surprising you. The element of surprise would always keep you on your toes, and he’d love it. You also convince Hui to allow you to tag along to Pentagon’s foreign promotions, and you always have a blast with the boys. You really help mom the younger members with Hui, and you’re always at the edge of the stage prepared to pull any lint rolls or fix any imperfections that’s on their outfits. You also tag along for dinner a lot, and you always leave an extra tip because feeding ten giants is not an easy job. No matter where you are, Hui will always try to show some ounce of dominance. Hui can get a little insecure sometimes when other guys will look at you, and he’ll always have an arm around your waist. And then if the looks or guys get too close for comfort, Hui will legit hug you and will not let you go until the guy/guys are away. You’ll tease him sometimes because he’ll be a little pouty afterwards, but he explains he always hugs you out of love, and he doesn’t want anyone trying to get something they can’t have. Late night pillow talks are an absolute must, it’s a great time for you two to talk about your relationship, talk about life, and rant about life’s problems. And last but not least, he enjoys taking aesthetic pictures of you, or with you both to show you off to the world and fans, because you’re one of the most important things in his life, and he loves to show the world how much he loves you.

Okay so you reblog these amazing houses all the time but i have to ask, what would your own dream house look like if money was limitless? Also where would it be located?

Oh man. You sure have asked a question to which I have way too well thought out an answer.

I like our city. We moved here because we wanted to be here and I honestly would not give it up. That said, we live in the more crowded part of it and I wouldn’t necessarily object to moving to another section so that we had more land. I grew up out west and so I’ve always really wanted an acre or two to kinda sprawl lazily out on. I’d want to have it planted with lots of local trees and shrubs and other such things that I can just kind of minimally manage and otherwise leave to flourish on their own.

I kinda miss stucco and clay, but Hubby really loves their New England brick, and I’ll be honest I’ve grown fond of it too since we moved into our current place. So odds are we’d either do something brick and clay, or something stone and stucco. It’d probably depend a lot on how flamboyantly we built the actual footprint of the house.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you may have seen the floor plans I draw up and post from time to time when I’ve been fantasizing. But even those I try to keep to a somewhat existent (if indulgent) budget. If money was no object at all?? Oh boy.

Well, to start, I’d want a fully stocked restaurant grade kitchen times two. I cook for armies and I actually would like to be able to keep Kosher at some point when I want to. So my dream kitchen would be huge. At least 20’x20’. It’d have three large pantries (5’x5’ min) and a cellar (8’x8’ min) attached to it. One pantry for each set of cookware (meat and dairy), and one pantry for seasonings and dry goods. The cellar would be for keeping vegetables cool and dry, as well as for the drinks cooler and the deep freezer because buying in bulk is both responsible and spoons efficient. Aesthetically, picture the worst, most offending McMansion style kitchen full of black stainless steel appliances (2 of each), a massive kitchen island with a huge double sink and garbage disposal and bar stools to boot, and a giant hanging rack in the middle of the room with all my most used pots and pans. The major difference between my dream kitchen and McMansion hell is that my cabinets would be this gorgeous dark red-black cherry color wood, and my counters would be gorgeous black (either slate or granite) speckled with red, gold, and white bits. I’d prefer a nice cream-to-tan range for the floor tiles, but I’ve become so fond of my little Spanish missionary tiles, that I’d probably try to do another lovely little mosaic all around my stove insets and my backsplash. Kitchens should be warm colors, huge, and HIGHLY functional.

I didn’t used to care about having a dining room, but I admit that it’s existence is growing on me. I’d still rather have a less ostentatious one tho. Just enough for a big dining table (has to seat at least 8, I like to entertain) and a hutch for dishware. It’d be awfully nice to have a little bar cupboard set up in there too, locked of course because there’ll be kids in the house. I’m still in love with our first dining room table and sad as heck that it had to be gotten rid of. Assume that whenever I’m talking about wooden furniture I’m thinking the same lovely dark red stain as those kitchen cabinets by the way. It’s a thing.

The dining room frankly shouldn’t be much more than an extension of the living room space which absolutely should also be huge. A giant, soft, squishy couch, one of those U-shaped fiascos with the chaise lounges at either end and lots of pillows. Woodsey colors. Deep browns and rich reds and greens. A giant hutch with the TV/computer/video game console/DVD/Cable set up all wired in, with room to put away all our movies and games. A giant TV. I’ve become so spoiled. We bought a 46” (I think? Something around that number) a while back and I just can’t fathom the idea of going back to anything smaller. Did you know they’ve got stuff even past 60” these days???? I can’t even imagine. I think maybe we’d stick with a nice, indulgent 55” most likely. Only TV in the house. I’m old-fashioned that way I guess. I really really hate hardwood floors, but carpet is allergen heavy and hard to clean, so I’ll probably lay that gorgeous fake-wood-looking stone tiles throughout the house. Everywhere but the kitchen and bathrooms I think. That way it looks all fancy and “traditional” but I don’t have to deal with caring for wood floors. Stone is so much simpler, lord.

There needs to be a big laundry room. Two washers and two dryers, a specially made doggie shower that won’t make my baby boy cry, and a small people shower for when folks come home muddy and filthy as they often do. Another big island in the middle of the room for folding clothes on and a big stone dirt sink that I can use for hand washing. Lots of lighting, and preferably on the first floor by the entryway. I hate this whole “laundry room in the basement” thing.

I want a guest bedroom downstairs with it’s own bathroom en suite. Something simple and functional, but pretty. I actually really like the layout for the bathrooms in our house now, a sink and toilet on one side of the room, and a bathtub/shower combo next to a roomy linen closet on the other. I think the main difference is I’d just like to scale them up slightly, make the shower/tub area roomier so it can be a proper tiled in set up rather than one of those plastic pre-fabs. And lots of counter space in all the bathrooms there’s just no such thing as too much counter space.

I’d want one more bathroom downstairs too. Just a half bath, something that can be easily accessed by anyone who’s over regardless of living arrangements.

Upstairs, I’d want four more bedrooms with bathroom en suites, all built around a lovely, open room that can be a playroom when kids are little, a study space when they’re in school, a sleepover kingdom when they have company. Just…..a space where the kids can really be out of their rooms and have creative license, you know?

And then. There’s my suite. This place is my master piece. It is……insane and impossible, but if I had all the money in the world I would do it because it would be like a dream. The Master suite has got to be huge. It’s a whole floor to itself. It’s got so many rooms. The entry to it at the stair’s landing is a little sitting room with some comfy lounge chairs, bookshelves, and okay fine the only other TV in the house. It’s a place where others may freely enter my domain without invading or violating my space. Beyond this point, no one is allowed without it either being their room too or without express permission from someone whose room it is. The parts to this suite are: the bedroom, the bathroom, the spa, the closet, and the entertaining space. The bedroom will be simple and pretty normal sized. 11’x11’. Maybe 15’x15’ at the absolutely maximum. A bed, the night stands, a comfy chair in the corner, some lamps. The bathroom will be like all the others in the house. Practical and functional but pretty. I like sea colors in bathrooms, so maybe some turquoise’s and crystal blues. Lots of counter space. A double sink. The closet will be gigantic for a closet. The size of it’s own bedroom. Maybe 10’x10’? It’ll have fully built in and beautiful wooden shelving systems throughout it. All our clothes will be sorted and everyone will have their own section to the room. But the spa. My god the spa is my sanctuary. It is the size of the kitchen. Huge. It’s got a personal steam room, ready to be filled with heat and scented oils and the feeling of my muscles not crunching. It’s also got a gigantic open shower, maybe 6’x6’, tiled in, rain shower heads and soft lights, and a bench I can sit on while I’m washing my hair. There’s a hot tub. Party sized obviously. Built into the floor of the spa with stone tiles and jets and those colored lights and this gorgeous stone and fire feature hanging down from the ceiling above it - low enough to be stunning but high enough not to risk anyone hurting themselves in it. The whole room would have built in surround sound speakers and colored dimmer lights and there would be potted plants and glass tile mosaics all around. I want it to look like one of those beautiful, ancient Spanish-Persian bath houses. Lots of soft greens and rich golds and brilliant purples. And then the entertaining space. Well. That’s something better left described on my other blog. But suffice to say that it should be very roomy and with lots of custom built-ins to facilitate the sort of entertaining that a passel of adults getting together in the late night while the kids are at the sitter’s house would get up to.

There’s gotta be a nice big garage to park everyone’s car in, especially during the winter. The driveway would be one of those neat half circle drives that people can park along, and it’d be made of that fancy solar panel stuff that they can make roads out of so that even in the dead of winter it never ices. Plus that in combination with solar roofing tiles will make sure the whole house (and the electric cars) are powered cleanly. There’ll be a generator and emergency power storage unit to round it all out, make sure we’re not dependent on the city power grid for any of our power needs. Central heating and air conditioning (fucking hell do you need both in this place), a whole house multi-step water filtration system (not a fan of the city water, it tastes like hard metals), giant cat playgrounds built into the walls of the house so the fur children can romp. A big, insulated and winterized doggie house and play run out in the yard for BabyBug and his friends to race in. A nice stone patio with a built in grill and fire feature and seating. Swings and a clubhouse out back for the kids. A nice big patch of clover and wild flower lawn that has those fancy sprinklers embedded all through it so we can turn them on in the summer and have a little water park afternoon in our own backyard. I think that’s pretty much everything I’d ever possibly want. The only other thing is kind of a toss-up whether we’d want it or not, and that’s a guest house. A little vacation-y type place, two small bedrooms, two small bathrooms, a little kitchen and living room. That way when anyone’s parents come down to visit they can be safely stashed away in their own little world and don’t have to be to be interacted with when folks aren’t ready to. It might just be better never to have the in-laws stay over tho.

Anyway. I evidently have extremely expensive taste, but not the kind of expensive taste that rich people find fashionable. It makes it challenging to find pictures that exactly represent what I would want. Which is why I reblog so very many fantastically lavish house pictures I suppose.

Maybe I’ll give another go at trying to put together my own photo sets tho. Or at least another round of floor plans. It’s been a while.

Oh man bout to lay down some Oscar Wilde Discourse!

Just kidding. Sort of?

Anyway, the short answer would be that I really, really love Oscar Wilde. He’s definitely one of my favorite authors/artists/historical figures ever. He was an amazing and incredibly influential figure who lived a tragic life and died way too young, and Bosie (aka Lord Alfred Douglas, for those unfamiliar with his nickname) was not the only person responsible for the tragedy of Oscar’s life, but he undeniably played a role in it. And I just, I really can’t forgive him for that.

The long answer is…

Well, okay, so at my university, English majors had to take a senior thesis class, which was basically just a seminar where you studied one topic really in depth. I took mine on Oscar Wilde, and it was an amazing class, so I really know a lot about him and have read a lot of his writings.

I never know what is and isn’t common knowledge about Wilde since I know a lot about him, but for those who don’t really know him, the basic story is that Wilde was a popular and scandalous Victorian author and playwright. He popularized various fashionable movements like aestheticism and dandyism. It was kind of an open secret that he was carrying out affairs with men. He had an affair with a younger man named Lord Alfred Douglas, AKA Bosie, who was a wealthy aristocrat from the Queensbury family. In the late 1890s, at the height of Wilde’s playwriting popularity, Wilde was embroiled in a series of trials that ultimately led to him being jailed for four years hard labor for gross indecency (essentially for having sex with men). Upon getting out, Wilde emigrated to France, where he died shortly after at the age of 46.

This is not the point of this post, but I highly recommend reading him. The Picture of Dorian Gray is obviously his most famous work, and it’s really beautiful and weird and fucked up and super gay. The Importance of Being Earnest is one of the funniest things I’ve ever read, and it’s also so influential of a work that it’s really hard to see how influential it is, because of course lots of things are like Earnest, except they’re like that because of Earnest. But what I would really recommend to first time Wilde readers is “The Happy Prince” which is a beautiful and heartbreaking little fairy tale that he wrote. He was a hugely influential author on modernism, post modernism, comedy, playwriting, etc.

This is tumblr so I feel strangely compelled to defend my love for him, so, yes, Oscar Wilde is #problematic fave. He practically invented being a problematic fave. I can almost guarantee that young Victorian ladies were fanning themselves and sighing over how much they loved his plays but it was too bad he was so scandalous and their mama wouldn’t let them go see him lecture. I am Aware. I could cheerfully list his myriad sins. But for pretty much all of them, I can think of mitigating factors. I will settle for saying that it’s essentially unfair for a modern, Western person to judge the sexual lives of queer* people in the past. They lived in a completely different culture from us, and many of them were simply doing the best they could under difficult, painful circumstances. It’s important to remember that legal, socially accepted same sex relationships are a very recent invention in the west. If Oscar Wilde cheated on his wife and turned to sex workers, well, what the hell else was he going to do? It’s probably worthwhile to note that by all accounts, he always treated his wife and sex workers very decently and generously.

(*Queer is an anachronistic term. I am aware. However, it’s a little tedious to write out “same sex attracted people” every time. In my opinion, queer is the modern term that most closely matches the way that Oscar Wilde wrote about sexuality. So that’s what I’m going to use.)

Despite his flaws, Wilde also did a lot of amazing stuff. He was, by most accounts, incredibly generous and kind. He was funny and witty. He was good to his children. My friends, we probably wouldn’t look at pretty pictures and write #aesthetic if it were not for Oscar Wilde. He modernized play writing. He was a socialist!!! He was a feminist!! He hated corsets!! He wrote out like a fifty page essay that was basically his headcanons about how Shakespeare was bi and hooking up with his one of his actors who was named Willie Hughes. He wrote kinda bad poetry (which I personally like). He lowkey had a feud with Henry James. He was a Fashion Icon who loved having his photo taken. If you or someone you love has ever worn a tux you can thank Wilde for helping popularize them. And, in my opinion most importantly, he was constantly thinking and writing (subtextually) about how to revolutionize cultural thought about sexuality and male identity. To call Oscar Wilde “gay” or “homosexual” is really a simplification of how he thought about sexuality. In fact, he explicitly objected to being called homosexual (altho it’s important to remember that was a much more stigmatizing term at the time than it is now!). Oscar Wilde, instead, was interested in a forming a world in which, basically, everyone could be themselves and could express themselves freely through art and sex. He wanted people to be able to freely love each other without being slapped with some fixed, restrictive label. Like, you guys, do u ever cry b/c Oscar Wilde just wanted the world to be beautiful and queer and free and for everyone to be gay and happy and make art BECAUSE I DO

And, like, okay. Bosie had a hard life too. I get that! His father has gotta be on the list of like Top Ten Biggest Assholes In History. As much as I dislike Bosie, multiply that by like ten hundred and that’s how I feel about fuckboy Marquis of Queenbury. I know I made that post about traveling back in time to punch Bosie; well, the only reason I don’t wanna punch his dad is b/c his dad like literally invented (a form of) boxing and I’m very small. I am Positive I could take Bosie in a fight, and I am positive his black hole of a father could take me. Also it was probably not easy to be a trailblazing twink in the 1890s (altho like John Gray managed it without being a literal piece of shit so……..). To be serious, Bosie clearly had a lot of rough stuff in his life. But, you know, so do lots of people. And I know I was just saying it’s hard to judge historical figures for their sex lives, but I’m judging Bosie for his behavior, not his sex. So, with all the context out of the way, here’s why I hate Bosie:

a) His poetry is like the soppiest shit ever.

b) He was extremely emotionally manipulative and possibly abusive toward Oscar Wilde. I know it seems kind of weird, because our cultural mindset for abusive relationship is big beefy guy beating his small, helpless wife. And Bosie and Oscar are both men, and Oscar was older and physically larger (did you know that he was like six foot? I hadn’t known that.). But there’s a lot of fucked up stories about their relationship. They were very on again off again, with Oscar frequently being the one to end things, and there are reports of Bosie going to extreme ends to get them back together, including threatening to kill himself. One story, which is hilarious with the distance of time but would have surely been dreadful when it happened, is that one time when they broke up, Bosie sent Oscar a nine. page. telegraph. NINE PAGES! For those of you who don’t know, telegraphs back then charged by the word. That’s like sending your boyfriend nine pages worth of texts, except you send each word individually and you know for a fact he’s out of data for the month. Also some poor individual had to type it all out for you. And yes, Wilde was the one to pay, because you could send telegraphs collect. And this despite the fact that Bosie was very well off, whereas Wilde, who was rather extravagant in his pursuit of dat aesthetic lifestyle, was usually tight on money. There’s also a rather horrible story about a time where Bosie fell ill and Wilde tenderly nursed him back to health, and then when Bosie recovered and Wilde caught his illness and fell sick himself, Bosie verbally abused him and left him alone to suffer. What I’m saying is, it was not a healthy relationship and Bosie did not treat Wilde well.

c) It’s basically inarguable that Bosie played a significant role in Wilde’s trial. Again, I’m not saying it’s just his fault, because it wasn’t. But things would have gone down massively differently without Bosie…or they might not have gone down at all. (Do u ever cry b/c maybe Wilde didn’t have to die at 46 and maybe if he hadn’t queer rights would be years, decades ahead of where they are now I mean I’m not saying definitely, I’m just saying m a y b e???)Queensbury family dynamics were a highly complex thing. It’s probably significant that somewhat before the trial, Bosie’s older brother died under controversial circumstances. The official story was it was a hunting accident, but the gossip of the day was that he killed himself because he was having an affair with another man. This was a serious blow to Bosie’s father, so when his youngest son, with whom he’d always had a contentious relationship, started publicly cavorting with a man rumored to be up to some real scandalous shit, the Marquis of Queensbury was not happy. At one point he even physically threatened Wilde’s life. But Wilde, at least at first, genuinely tried to calm things down. He repeatedly advised Bosie to make up with his father; instead, Bosie continued to provoke him. Eventually, Queensbury left a note for Wilde at a club accusing him of being a sodomite (basically the Victorian equivalent of calling someone the f-slur). And this is where things get really messed up. All of Wilde’s friends advised him to just leave things alone, not make things messy. Bosie, in contrast, advised Wilde to sue his father for libel. So, like, quick note about the legal ramifications of this: basically, libel is only illegal if it’s not true. Thus, all Queensbury’s lawyers had to do was prove that Wilde was having sex with men, which they were able to do, because, you know, he was totally having sex with men. I mean, it was wildly foolish of Wilde to sue for libel when he knew it was not libel! Why would Bosie push him into that?And that wasn’t the end of it, because the Labouchere Amendment made it illegal for two men to have sex, even in the privacy of their own homes. So, because Queensbury’s lawyers could prove that Wilde was engaging in gross indecency, he was able to be charged. The libel trial ruined Wilde’s social standing; the second trial ruined him legally. Oh, and the costs of the trial also bankrupted him! Things then get slightly more horrible, because, for a person of Wilde’s fame and status, the police basically gave you a warning period. There was a time frame in which he could have fled the country, and extradition treaties were not really a thing then, so although he would have been ruined and unable to return to England, he wouldn’t have been arrested. All of his friends advised him to flee, but he didn’t. And no one really knows why, although if you ask me, it’s because a) he was basically an extremely self destructive person, and b) I think it’s probably unimaginably heart breaking to have your entire society turn on you and paint you as a monster and pervert, and maybe at a certain point you lose the will to fight, and c) Oscar Wilde wanted everything to be beautiful and like art, like a story, and I wonder if he didn’t feel that this was how the story of his life was “supposed” to go. But that’s really just my theory.And so Oscar Wilde was sent to jail for 4 years hard labor, and by all accounts his heart and his health were broken. He lived in France for a few years, but he never wrote anything again other than the Ballad of Reading Gaol (“Each man kills the thing he loves”… I’m looking at YOU Bosie), and then he died, still quite young, and not of syphilis despite what certain supposedly reputable biographies try and tell you.And none of that had to happen. None of that would have happened if it weren’t for Bosie. He shouldn’t have pushed his father to attack Oscar, and he certainly shouldn’t have pushed Oscar into the libel trial. Oscar Wilde himself wrote that he felt as if Bosie threw him and his father at each other, as if he was trying to destroy both of them. And then after the trial, he basically abandoned Wilde. I believe he only visited him in jail once. Why would you do that? Why would you try and destroy the person you supposedly love, the person that loves you? I just can’t understand or forgive that. I know I joke around a lot in this post but what happened to Wilde honestly makes me so sad. It breaks my heart. He was a beautiful person who wanted to make the world beautiful and full of love and art, and the person he loved tried to destroy him. And really, the inexcusable straw for me is that later in life Bosie wrote some piece of shit biography in which he denied that he and Wilde were ever lovers and painted Wilde as some sort of monster and pervert. No one fucking asked you, Bosie.

So yes, that’s why I fucking hate Bosie, and that’s my Oscar Wilde Discourse™.
