Care to share any AUs that you have ideas for, but haven’t gotten to write yet?

I in fact would love to share some of them! Most aren't thought out completely story-wise but I think they would be cute :)

First a medieval au that is mostly concentrating on Bumswiftery (yes I know I am a bit hyperfocused right now) where Skittery is the prince (his father, the King, is kind of evil but he doesn't yet know), Swifty is a knight and they are tasked to find the Witch/Mage living in the woods because the Queen is ill. That Mage is in fact Bumlets and somehow the stories about 'evil forest witches' are very wrong as he's just living there in peace with his apprentice Flipper (some townsfolk thought an 'offering' to the forest witch would be a good idea and Bumlets didn't want to let the kid go back to them and instead teaches him magic.)

Of course the King is at fault here and just wants to get his hands on the Mage to use those powers for himself, because what else. And then Skittery and Swifty go to safe Bumlets :)

Ok next has a bit less thoughts but Restaurant AU where Jack and Davey have some american style diner but it is still a restaurant with a bar too and almost open 24/7. Of course most newsies work there, for example Spot is a bartender (and no of course he didn't threaten David so he and Race always have the same shift nooo), Race a cook, Skittery and Bumlets are servers (and Swifty is definitely not coming there just for them). Also I thought it would be funny for Dutchy to work at the local hospital and after night shifts to go there and then have half a very tired panic because the bartender (Specs) is very cute and he has a night shift behind him and looks like shit. Just all cute shenanigans in modern you know?

Thennn a bit about the boarding school au maybe? It isn't as focused on the school as it sounds, but this one is focused on Specs/Dutchy and probably set in the 70s/80s because it feels most boarding school things are around that time. Dutchy is known to be gay and people tend to avoid him but Specs, the new kid, gets partnered with him for a project and they find out they both enjoy the paranormal and ghost hunting. Of course they sneak out at night to search for ghosts somewhere in the older parts of the school. Also a fun part would be if Specs is in a kinda Addams Family style family? Meaning he has definitely already seen ghosts before but Dutchy's enthusiasm is amusing. Also Sarah is there as Specs friend from home and she is dressing very goth which I think would suit her a lot actually.

Last but not least Masquerade which is kind of just a fairytale AU focusing on Snitch/Itey where Pulitzer (even though no one knows at first) is turning the people on the Masquerade ball to stone and then is intending to get a high reward to fix things or smth it isn't completely thought out. Of course of the couples some are only partly turned to stone as some were out in the halls (or for Sprace they didn't notice much of it at all as they had snuck out into the gardens to make out). And then Snitch, Bumlets and someone else I forgot were hired to go to the ball and steal things and act as scapegoats but Snitch really wants to help the prince (Itey) especially as he notices Pulitzer is actually the one behind everything. We mostly did this AU to choose fancy clothes for everyone which was really great.

So yeah those were both mine and @thatoneandlonelyemo2005 's AUs because we talk about them a looooot and we have so many more that are more or less good to talk about in public. Thanks for the ask! 🩵

in an alt. universe of streamer enid feat. twin sibling

enid sees that wednesday starts dating her twin, and, of course, she's devastated. she basically drops off the face of the earth while going through the five stages of grief. acceptance is...hard, and really, it feels like reluctance, but she manages to get back on her feet and crawl out of the hole of despair she was in.

so she tries to move on, and it's hopeless at first. date after date, and she just can't seem to mesh with anyone. that is, until one day, she basically has a meet-ugly with someone. maybe she gets a fist to the face due to a mistaken identity or something, but whatever happens, charms enid enough for her to her ask this hot-headed stranger on a date.

and it actually goes well!

soon, one date turns to two, then three and so on and so fourth. and she's actually enjoying herself. sure, maybe the feelings she has for this person aren't as intense as the one she has for wednesday, but she finds herself thinking more and more, "i can be happy like this."

her and whoever this person is start dating officially. she's introducing them to her friends and posting it on her socials. hell, they even have some cameos on the blonde's streams. eventually they get engaged, but enid actually hasn't introduced them to her family...or wednesday

when wednesday eventually learns of the engagement, she is enraged and doesn't know why. she angry every time she sees their couple photos, any fan compilations about them, and goes absolutely apocalyptic when she learns through a 3rd party that wedding invites are being sent out. cue the oh-shit-im-in-love-with-enid epiphany, with a shit load of angst and self-loathing, and she decides to break it off with sin (that's the twins' name, right?). the goth doesn't care that enid's in an obviously serious relationship and attempts a grand confession. [douche move, wednesday]

but enid isn't the type to just drop someone (hopefully) and well, she's finally met someone who's chosen her first. her.

yes, she is still completely in love with wednesday but she's accepted that she was with her twin. wednesday chose someone else. they were on the brink of something special and wednesday still left the second she could, but enid is not going to do that. so she refuses the confession, no matter how hard it was, and maybe wednesday fucks it up more by calling enid the wrong name in the heat of the moment. and that, that was the final straw for enid. she goes on to marry her lover and now wednesday is left heartbroken.

wednesday keeps trying, though, attempt after attempt, but enid doesn't budge. she dedicates books to her, poems, and scripts. she professes her love anyway she can, and she doesn't care that her rep takes a downward turn for continuing to fawn over a married woman.

and that's basically how it goes for the rest of their lives. two people who love each other fiercely, but love wasn't enough in this situation.

It's the biggest because it's just Normal World + Monsters and stuff. Very urban fantasy and I just put most of my characters here so it's kinda bangue in plot and Worldbuilding

Goth lil witch and her friend who's the town ghost, but Gothy doesn't know

Underground mafia monsters, they're a throuple

Girl who's entering witchcraft because her sibling just die and is now a ghost with memory loss. They live in the same 'abandoned' house as the last three.

Demon Girl and her witch Wife who now run a coffee shop after having a enemies to lovers/monster hunter X monster past

A demon obcessed with the human world , her cousin, her friend/love interest. Getting to know the world. Demon 1 also a fan of Demon Girl™ of the last point

And now things complicate because I just have ideas that would kinda mean that I have to separate the last 2 points from the rest of this universe + 2 new characters

A investigator who ends up summoning Demon 1 by accident in the middle of the investigation, and ends up with a crush on her?

i've been thinking about rewriting a couple of 2000s-early 2010s russian tv shows that i used to like a bit before i became a radfem but with each new glimpse at them after i found rf i found more and more misogyny so... a question. i don't wanna be that hetero that just assumes things so I wanna ask actual lesbians if any lesbians in denial overcompensate by trying to date a lot of men to convince themselves they are "normal"?? or is it just a stereotype?

I just don't want to change the time setting, to keep it more or less realistic, even though the shows ran when i was just a baby, one started before my birth even if i remember correctly, so i don't know everything about the situation then, but i more or less have the grasp on what mentality people used to have. if i were to go all out i'd even research the types of phones and computers that were used/available then and political stuff too but for now i want to focus on the interactions between the main characters. like i've been thinking about the rewrites for almost 2 years??

so considering russia is a bit culturally behind europe and us, let's say 10-15 years, and the characters's birth dates from the first show were like 1970-1975 (the were 30-35 in 2003?? or smth) (or even earlier years) (i always assumed '68 and '72 more specifically though bit sometimes i thought they were the same age so i gotta figure out what works better)

i just. i want to write something but the story i started a couple years ago (and only write like a couple chapters every summer lol) is a naive bl (ye i found rf by that time but. habits). I'm bad at original stuff but i have a lot of passion to "fix" things that have SOME potential or when i want the characters to have justice. bc the way stuff happened in the shows is so frustrating. the amount of misogyny the characters had to put up with. competing for a worthless male's attention. and so on. in the other one turning a goth poet into a housewife and a mom by 19!! and smart girl loving a dumdum guy 4 years older than her and staying to help him in the grade she was in instead of advancing and going through the school program fast bc she's a genius. and then going to a police college instead of like any prestigious uni, also for him. been thinking about making goth girl a lesbian so she doesn't fall in love with the guy she married OR making him a girl with who she can have a normal relationship bcs he was a great character at first they just butchered him so fn much. the other girl should just not make friends with the dum at all and ever. let an intellectual character be a snob when a 17 yr old doesn't know how to write most of the words properly and needs help with every class. she's 13 and just has to formally finish school.

•So, Sanemi sort of isn’t fond of horror related stuff since being a demon slayer is an entire lifetime’s worth of horror, but for your sake he might try to recall the traditional scary stories his mum used to narrate and proceed to narrate them to you

•He’s learnt to always order spicy food whenever you go to restaurants and he watches you eat them with the widest eyes ever

•He’s not gonna be writing to you much at the beginning and you might think it’s bc he doesn’t like communicating with you but when he gets comfortable with you he’s gonna admit to not being able to write

•If you decide to teach him to write he’s gonna be super thankful internally, but also he’s gonna take so much time to learn cause the entire time he’s staring at you and when you catch him staring he’s gonna be like ‘what’re you looking at’ the hypocrite smh

Maria was an opera singer! I have no proof but also no doubts. In the present Nico managed to find some records of her singing and now Mama sings him to sleep every night💕

I think Maria was generally an artsy person, she had Bianca and Nico take lessons in dance, music and painting, Bianca probably learned embroidery and Nico BEGGED her to teach him so he learned too, they had lil music sessions where Maria would sing, Bianca played the violin and Nico the piano (Bia and Nico weren't perfect but they tried so hard and Maria always encouraged them!!)

Nico didn't really understand what was happening, but that's how Bianca learns about mortality (and unknowingly, a lil bit of her powers) and y'know how some little kids learn about death and are either fascinated or scared by it? poor Bia was TERRIFIED

Bianca developed a fear of dying, and anything to do with death in general (which I hc as one of the reasons she joined the Hunters of Artemis.. besides wanting to actually live for herself and not be a mom to her little brother :c) the bird incident was something she was never able to get over😔

also!!! both Bianca and Nico sometimes saw ghosts. Baby Nico would babble all day long to his ghost buddies, Maria found it SO cute. Younger Bianca chatted with them and had tea parties and such, but after the bird incident she would flinch and look away whenever she saw one :(((

Bia's fear of her (unknown) powers sometimes manifested and her Mama's roses would wilt and dry up :c But Maria would kiss her forehead and tell her she liked them better that way, and Bia would feel a lil bit better, and a lil less scared<3<3

Nico's first crush was a boy he went to school with, he also once had a teeny tiny crush on his teacher, and another time a crush on one of Bianca's classmates... he falls in love easily ok lol

he never acted on his feelings bc he wasn't even sure what they were?? he just knew he really liked those guys and he'd feel lil skeletal butterflies in his tummy when he looked at them!! when he told Mama about this she laughed and hugged him, and told him he'd understand those feelings when he grew up a bit💗

this one is more set in the present-future but.
