Fun Facts about Tipping Point {An Eddsworld Series}

Since this series is my life atm, I decided to point out some fun facts about the development and stuff about it :)

Pre-Dev Facts/Before I started writing it:

I had the idea implanted in my head months before I started writing it (about late December of 2022). I could NOT stop thinking about it...

It was between a one shot book and this series, and I am so glad I chose the series lmao

I had gotten into Eddsworld before Surf & Turf Wars part 1 came out. I had heard of it years ago, and of the character 'Tord,' but had no idea where he was from until it ('it' being 'The End part 1') showed up on my recommendation page on YouTube.

I also happened upon ASDF, which my brother had quoted most of the lines from when we were younger. He seemed frustrated at me for not watching it sooner lol. I also recommended him to watch Eddsworld, and he still hasn't.

Anyway, back to my series... originally, Matt was going to be trans, but that would've made his childhood much harder, and I would have to make his aunts and uncles (not Bing) to be much stricter as they expect "nothing but the best." I'm going to be uploading a side story about Matt's family soon :)

The only trans people in my story are Pat and Larry. There hasn't been any recognition that Larry is trans since it just seems out of place everywhere I make note of it... it'll be more in the side stories.

I don't know if I said this in my series, but Margaret is the name of Edd's mother. Her nickname is Margot (named after Margot Robbie)

William and Henry are named after characters in Five Nights at Freddy's; the Purple Guy and his ex-business partner.

During the process Facts:

There's a character 'sheet' that I plan to add in to Tied me to Your Family Tree. It lists facts about the characters, and what they're like.

I had no idea what I was doing with Lynnedslag lmao. I promise I'll do him 'better' in the side stories

I had to do so much research for this; to Norwegian military rankings to converting Norwegian kroner to British pounds to seeing what kind of weapons they use... it was hard.

Eos (landlady), Aspen (florist), Evelyne (florist's girlfriend), and Kali (landlady's sibling) are actual friends of mine :)

It's noted that Tord is demisexual, meaning he may feel romantic attraction, but it takes some time for him to feel sexually attracted towards someone until he forms a strong bond with them.

My other favorite ship aside from TomMatt is MattTord, and I tried so hard to make it seem like they didn't like each other in that way, especially with their side story lmao

Matt's father being blind was a challenge for me since this is my first(?) time writing a disabled character. I had no idea what I was doing... I do know that blind people tend to be independent and their senses are 10x better than the average human, like... wow, they can tell when the dryer is done even when they're upstairs or 20 feet away-

I didn't intend for the main villains to be the fathers- it's just my repressed daddy issues lol. at least you get Arthur and Henry (but he's not in it lol)

The final story takes place in 2033-34 (10-11 years in the future)

The chemical that Diwi had was called 'Venomous Agent X,' known for "disrupting the body's signaling between the nervous and muscular systems, leading to a prolonged neuromuscular blockade, flaccid paralysis of all the muscles in the body including the diaphragm, and death by asphyxiation." It had been used to assassinate Kim Jung Un's brother at an airport. -Wikipedia on VX (nerve agent)

Dr. Mike would be disappointed in me because I was medically inaccurate in chapter 1 of chained in servility... you're supposed to do CHEST COMPRESSIONS, CHEST COMPRESSIONS, CHEST COMPRESSIONS AAAAAAAAA

I think that's all the facts I can think of for now...

danny phantom 8-13 thoughts! again, under the cut bc I blew through 6 episodes in one go...

-LOVE THE WAY THE GHOST ZONE LOOKS. but theres fucking ghost cops??? ghost jail??? that SUCKS imagine dying and going to jail in your AFTERLIFE. danny going to JAIL WAS NOT something I expected. but seeing all the enemies together and work with danny to bust out. SO ICONIC I love that actually. and the thing about real world stuff acting as ghosts in the ghost zone is very cool.

-'there are some things more important that hunting ghosts!' mrs fenton says, about her husband forgetting their anaversary (FOR THE 18TH YEAR IN A ROW?? CHRIST) and not about, idk, their son clearly freaked out. she didnt even notice he was gone into the ghost zone!!! he might be a bad husband BUT shes not the best mom. they suck and I don't care about their relationship problems I care about these kids. danny doing his best to clean the house to keep his mom from getting mad at his dad?? hes such a good boy I want to cry, this is not his place, his dad should be cleaning his own shit up!!!

-maddie's butch lesbian sister is living my best life in her lil cabin. also being a snarky bitch to jack. queen. and her getting a 10th anniversary of her divorce. LOVE IT.

-mr. lancer being a cheerleader in his younger years makes perfect sense to me. king shit.

-dr. spectra's cat ears/mullet hairstyle?? sooo cute. I also just love the concept of a ghost just. sucking out people's positivity and feeding on emotions. a great villain. she put danny in a fucking diaper what the FUCK. and keeping it cold so no one would suspect shes a ghost??? INCREDIBLE. and her gay little blob sidekick. wlw mlm evil solidarity.

-JAZZ FOCUSED EP. YEAAAH!!! her first thought when she saw the ghosts was like 'omg i gotta tell danny :)' and her going to the teacher and also councilor trying to get help for him...shes just 16 but shes trying so hard to help him out :( watching this when youre younger I can imagine ppl are like omg annoying!! but watching this when im older im just like :( jazz baby im SO sorry </3 SHE BODIED THAT GHOST THOUGH. and the fact she didnt tell danny she knew surprised me. like, shes patient and waiting on him to tell her when hes ready!! thats so so sweet.

-christ the parents talking about 'PEELING IT LIKE AN ONION. AND EXAMINING REMAINS' of ghosts RIGHT INFRONT OF DANNY.

-'why am i so depressed and angry all the time!!' DANNY YOURE 14. i mean it IS a ghost this time, but...

-579$ top?? VALERIE NO ITS NOT EVEN CUTE IT DOESNT EVEN GO WITH THAT OUTFIT AAAA. tho this ep is called shades of gray..VALERIE FOCUSED EP FINALLY????! *THUNDEROUS APPLAUSE* I already knew about red huntress from my redesigns, but I didn't exactly know what that entails or how/why, so, it's fun to see the Origins.

-ghost pubby! ghost pubby!!!!! why is the dog a ghost?? the implication that the company had guard dogs and got rid of them...what did they DO. is it just the unfinished business?? of not having that toy it was looking for?? god I hope so.

I feel SOOO bad for valerie tho, my god. her friends are shunning her for what, because her dad lost her job and she had to move??? horrible. (and the fact the dog wrecked the moving van too...) I also love how 'from wisconsin' on the package was an IMMEDIATE RED FLAG FOR ME. WISCONSIN=EVIL NOW. vlads so petty.

-it took valerie like 5 mins to get the hang of hunting ghosts and shes already a much bigger threat than his parents tbh. who've been trying and studying this for years. and a more valid reason <3 love her shes so cute and cool. new daughter alert.

-'who is that, awesome outfit!' -top gay sam moments. i was going to say. before it immediately cuts to sam kissing danny LMFAOOO. don't think I like that, it puts tucker in a weird third wheel position... the next ep involves them holding hands and blushing when danny's cold...URGH No. not a fan ngl. the trope of 'if theres a girl in a trio she has to end up with one of the two guys!!'

-right as I say that they take it to extremes!! and ember shoots him with a love ray gun that makes him OBSESSIVE OVER SAM. AND SHE TAKES HIS HANDS AND SAYS 'YOU DONT FEEL THAT WAY ABOUT ME, I DONT FEEL THAT WAY ABOUT YOU' and her saying she doesnt want to be together like this. and tucker saying 'i always knew you two would get together!!' dont manifest it tucker please. the show pushing for it so hard makes me not want it KSHKJKJD I KNOW its probably canon. it sucks though. im a hater.

Occasionally he posts, but it’s mostly him flaunting the fact that he got limited edition or super expensive [H/N] merch that gets sold out in seconds and he’s super fucking smug.

How'd you get into ah?

How did I get into ah? My brother Tyler’s one friend Chad was showing him some videos, like the asdf movies. I watched behind them since we already had the one computer and I wanted to go play some roblox after they were done. Chad then showed Tyler the Surgeon Simulator Rage Quit. And like, I wanted to know more about the shouty man and the screaming brit. So I dove right in, finding the MC rage quits next Mainly cause I was spefically looking for vids with the two of them. Then over the cource of the next week or so I binged the MC let’s play, coming to the end of part two of the potions let’s play. And like, the whole ‘I’m Scared’ ‘Don’t Be’ when Gavin was lost in the nether? That’s what started my ass down the Mavin hole. But honestly I was on and off watching them for about a year after that, only truly watching AH around the summer of 2014. So in the end, if Tyler hadn’t invited Chad over that day I may have never found AH, or gotten as into as I did.

I’ve decided that in celebration of Stray Kids pre-debut album I needed to create a tag. The ultimate goal for The Stray Kids Tag is to learn about your Tumblr mutuals, and have fun answering the Stray Kids related questions! Here we go:

1: When did you decide to join the Stray kids fandom?

> lmao i learned about them when it was rumored that jyp was going to have a new boy group, and i followed the updates until the announcement of the webseries/release of hellevator. i didnt want more ppl to remember on my plate until december 30ish when i finally gave in to mel so here i am <

2: What is your favorite episode of Stray Kids?

> im actually going to watch it right after i finish this tag post lmao ive never watched it before but i think ive seen clips??? when the boys were vlogging themselves packing idk if thats part of the webseries but thats cute <

3: Who would you say is your bias in Stray kids?

> I DONT HAVE ONE OKAY I DONT WANT TO TRY TO FIGURE IT OUT YET IM SCARED i legit like,,, dont know a whole lot about each member but i know their names but,,,,,, i think,,,,, before i start truly getting into them myself,,,, is probably seungmin,,,,, i think,,,,,,,, maybe,,,, whoops i just remembered woojin existed uhhhHHHH idk <

4: Who would you say is your bias wrecker in Stray kids?

> (im listening to ailee’s i will go to you like the first snow rn and im so emo while doing this tag) i love all of them!!!! probs chan or changbin or jeongin bc they are so sweet!!! <

5: What line would you want to be apart of in Stray kids?

> idk the team compositions of stray kids so i will get back to you on that one until i watch the series lmao <

6: What is the first song you heard of Stray kids?

> of course hellevator lmao <

7: What is the first song you heard of 3racha?

> FRICK actually i dont know bc melly showed me vids of them performing live but i dont know what the song was :( <

8: What is your favorite song on their pre-debut album?

> legit only have listened to hellevator and grrr so um ill say grrr?? <

9: What is a concept you’d like to see Stray Kids try in the future?

> SUSPENSE!!! idk if that ‘s hard to explain but like something with a story in the background, maybe like a spy concept with a nice orchestration i think they can do it <

10: if you could meet with the members of Stray kids for one day what would you say to them?

> ahhh!!! i dont know they all too too well but i would love to tell them that i feel that they are different from any other kpop group i have ever seen, bc they all seem genuinely happy and they are like the coolest bros and their friendship with each other is something that i could only dream of!! also ive heard that their songs have rad lyrics and they work super hard so i look up to them for that!!!1!!! <
