Since it's gift giving season and chilly, I wanted to point out that there are two different companies (that I know of, please feel free to reply if you know of more!) offering fancy She-Ra and the Princesses of Power themed loose tea blends if you wanted to put it on your gift list or gift to a friend!
The ones pictured above are ship themed teas from Adagio Teas. They have Catradora, Glimbow and Seamista. If you look around that site, a few other fans have also made other Catradora blends if this one's not to your tastes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then there's the Powerful Princess blends from Thesaurus Teas which all have clever names and very funny descriptions so I highly recommend clicking through to read them all if you get a chance because they are worth a chuckle. I was gifted a sampler* of one of each of these last year and I have really enjoyed drinking my way through them. ThesaurusTeas has a bunch of other fandom teas all of which have comical names such as "Sippernatural" and "Steeper Things" so check them out!
*= I am not sure if they still offer the sampler bc I can't find it on the site anymore but it was $1-3 each for 2-3 cups so perfect for getting to try each one to see what you like before you committed to a giant bag. You may need to ask to get it.
I am a tea addict, I am basically drinking it 24/7 (caffeinated during the day, herbal at night) and while I normally drink cheap mass produced teas it's been fun to have these fancy ones for special occasions! (If anyone's interested in my recommendations on which ones I liked, lmk!)

I deeply appreciate that Pokemon Reborn elected to make shinies a lot more common because I tell you what reconciling myself to the increased difficulty got a LOT easier after I started grinding to level my shiny Wurmple.

A03 Questions Tag Game
I got tagged by: @kagedbird I tag: @onethirdofimpossible, @coffincrows, (first two that come to mind) and anyone else who wants to do the game
1 – How many works do you have on AO3?
At the time of writing this post, currently 30 fics. (Not including any fics or written works that are not posted to AO3)
2 – What's your total AO3 word count?
Tumblr media
1,066,633
3 – What fandoms do you write for?
Formerly: Don't Starve, FNAF, Dragons Dogma, Invader Zim
Currently: Cult of the Lamb
4 – What are your top five fics by kudos?
Solar Lunacy, Celestial Omens, Bytes of Lunacy, The Rehabilitation of Death, Saturday Insomnia
5 – Do you respond to comments?
I try to but I also get very nervous responding because I often don't know what to say back and I feel like it's almost rude or disrespectful to respond to a comment, esp the very nice ones that are long and in-deph with just a keysmash or a bunch of emojis, but I do read every single one since I have email notifications on for them
I'd like to sit down and respond to many but I really don't want to make it awkward so pls dear god readers forgive me
6 – What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I don't like unhappy endings. I enjoy angsty stories but I like when it's at least ending happy to me
7 – What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Not posted? Solar Lunacy
Ongoing? TROD
8 – Do you get hate on fics?
Not really? Most adults (in my experience) know the 'don't like don't read' rule and know basic online etiquette. I've gotten some for discontinuing a fic or switching fandoms though
9 – Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I don't write or draw NSFW! I like to make some suggestive themes sometimes, but I'm a very ace person, it's not something I do often. (I do have a current running goal that if my friend reaches their donation goal for their medical bills that I would give NSFW a shot, but again its not really my cup of tea)
10 – Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
Nah I haven't written any cross overs, but I do draw them sometimes. Recently I've been spinning a Alice in Wonderland x COTL crossover in my head.
11 – Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Yep. I've had people copy and paste my work, go in with a thesaurus to change a few words (like changing 'angry' to mad, 'upset' to 'sad', and so forth) to try and avoid detection and re-posted my written work under a different title name. AO3 staff took them down for violating their policy against plagiarism though
12 – Have you ever had a fic translated?
No. I wouldn't mind it so as long as I'm asked before hand, though not on anon so I can actually work with the person to prevent any mistranslations or mishandling, and that I don't want my work posted to other websites
13 – Have you ever co-written a fic?
I think I did when I was a teen but I cannot remember now
14 – What's your all-time favorite ship?
Eh I don't have any favorites, just ones I really focus on for a long while
15 – What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Pass.
16 – What are your writing strengths?
I can sit down for hours or several days and work on a writing wip completely in the zone. I cant do it on command but its at least something I can do
17 – What are your writing weaknesses?
Spelling and grammar, and sometimes long running sentences. I just kinda write, theres not really a goal for it to be perfect though so as long as the story gist and vibe is right, im fine with it
18 – Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I've done it before but only minor, had a friend help me with it (one or two lines of dialogue) Aside from that, I'm not comfortably fluent enough in anything to do it again without assistance
19 – First fandom you wrote for?
Soul Eater, when I was wayyy too young to be posting anything on the internet. My fanfics I wrote are still on fanfic.net to this day
20 – Favorite fic you've written?
It's inbetween TROD and EE&E right now

Hiiii!!!! Can I please request a headcanon home brew with the reader being friends with rocky? It can be angsty or fluffy or whatever you prefer! Thank you 😁
Took a more lighthearted direction with this, to offset a particularly angsty romantic oneshot that’s eventually to come… One must maintain a balanced diet of their illicit beverages and all. It also ended up a bit specific. Hope you enjoy!
So you’ve become friends with the notorious poet, eh? Congratulations! There likely wasn’t much effort needed on your part.
He’s naturally talkative (and how) as well as sociable (though lacking the skill), but you had to have bumped into him several times in the same setting before a true habit was formed of it.
Being a regular at the café or the speakeasy is the setup that most easily lends itself… maybe one before the other, though he wouldn’t bring you downstairs unless you were explicitly interested. The criminal scene might not be everyone’s cup of tea, after all.
You’re less probable to find out about the Lackadaisy from him, either; it’s likely Ivy told you first, seeing how much you two get along as well as finding you genuinely personable and interesting. But if you end up undeterred by the revelation that he works for a bootlegging operation and would like to take that trip downstairs some night, he’ll be glad to have you see him play with the band!
Speaking of, if you were also an artist, he’d be elated.
The stanzas shall flow like water from an overly tenacious tap regardless of your expertise, of course. Uneducated listening ears are better than none, and he’ll appreciate even surface level analysis and positive feedback if you bother with such. Don’t fret if you don’t understand all of the words or get tangled up in an abundant array of alliterative allegories. You’ll learn to adjust accordingly. (Or so he assures.)
But! If you’re a kindred creative soul, it’s a common ground he’ll hop onto with utmost eagerness.
A fellow poet or writer? He’d hinge on your every word of appraisal. How did you like the flow of this one, (Y/N)? You could practically feel the expressionistic scenery enveloping you with this picturesque wording, could you not? What about that one metaphor about the stars, (Y/N)? Surely it conveyed his message on the sweet transience of life? (Y/N)? Oh, (Y/N)! Please answer him, (Y/N), he’s begging to know.
Don’t worry, it’s not one-sided. He’s always all up in your literary business and half-finished drafts in return, asking plenty of questions and insisting on being your first audience for everything. He’ll listen to you talk yourself out of plot holes and come in handy as a sentient thesaurus whenever you get stuck on the synonyms.
(Though I cannot guarantee he’s capable of providing a distraction-free environment. Any environment truly free of distractions is one where he is absent.)
A musician? Oh boy! Your instruments may not be the slightest bit compatible, but that could never stop him from making the most splendorous harmonies together with his dearest chum!
Teaching each other songs you know is a must. Beloved classics like Vivaldi as well as local tunes from either of your lands of origin; he’s an extremely quick learner, as you’ve found out, with a keen ear and significant thirst for knowledge, especially when it comes to things dear to your heart.
You’ve observed how deeply serene he appears to be when playing a certain song or two with a gentle folk-like ring, as if in a trance of reminiscence. He claims not to understand what you mean when you bring it up… so you play along in silent understanding, earning a smile back when your eyes meet that is, for a change, admittedly softer.
Or perhaps a visual artist? Painter? Comic strip illustrator? Cartoon animator?
He would so brag about having an animator friend (even if only aspiring). To the surprise of no one, he’s a great fan of those whimsical hand-drawn moving pictures. Some may find them silly, but in his vocabulary that’s a staple of high precedence.
Yes, he has been to the movies several times, and a shared interest would provide a stellar excuse to accompany you there. Unfortunately, he both refuses to let you treat and is perpetually penniless, so he has the two of you sneak in by less than rule-abiding means. You’ve gotten thrown out before. (Likely not the first time when going out somewhere with him, and neither is it the last.)
But let’s suppose you’re a painter instead. Likely you’re creating in the chiefly popular styles of the era; impressionism, surrealism, the like. Even if not, he still praises you for sticking to your individuality. If you’re a misunderstood artist like him, he reassures with genuine conviction that you’ll make it into the galleries someday, current trends be damned. (Maybe you both are simply ahead of your time.)
The contents or perceived quality are entirely negligible, because he will find a way to compliment your work. Usually his criticism is focused less around your technical skill and more so his emotions and ideas sparked by the sight that are occasionally heavily abstract or several degrees of detached from your original intent. Still, the different perspective can be… well, interesting to hear out, at least.
When you’re coloring or shading certain parts in certain ways, like circularly or with a soothing curve of the brush, he’ll trail off in whatever he was doing or prattling on about and watch quietly for a bit as you work. It’s only embarrassing when he was in the middle of telling you something; he might even lose that line of thought. (Far from the only time that ever happens to him, so you’re forgiving by now.)
Listen, stimboards didn’t exist in the 1920s. He’ll take what he can get.
As for him, well, his personality isn’t the only thing that stopped substantially developing at the age of twelve. His visual art skills might begin and end at silly-looking scribbles caricaturing himself and the people he knows, but he’s satisfied nonetheless. Ambitious rhymes and ornate metaphors are more his department.
He’s still gotten a chuckle or two out of you with his humorously misshapen efforts at drawing you, so he considers that a win as well.
I’ve mentioned lands of origin. If you’re from a state he’s yet to have visited, he’ll surely ask a number of questions about your experiences living there. But if you’re from overseas? Another continent? Nation he’s scarcely heard of? Square that number and multiply by ten thousand.
It’s exciting to hear about different cultures, alright? He likes to understand you better. In any case you make an easier job of it for him than the other way around.
He’d likely have a lot of respect for you for learning English so well, even more so if mostly by yourself. (Viktor’s intimidating disposition and inclination to punch him at the slightest provocation are not the only reasons he never corrects his phrasing.) If he’d said some difficult or rare word you don’t understand, he wouldn’t have to hesitantly accept your complaints of confusion as exasperated mockery for a change and instead could take the time to kindly explain. Probably in an even more troublesome way. You go through like five overcomplicated synonyms before one of them finally rings a bell… but he’s patient.
Expect spontaneous “hey, how’d you say that in your language?” inquiries in the middle of a conversation, out of sheer curiosity. You may only laugh at his clumsy mimicking of your pronounciation once, because he adapts to the unique sounds of a foreign tongue scarily fast. He greets you with the everyday words you’re rather used to hearing around your hometown thousands of miles away and it’s downright uncanny how natural it sounds. (Which is why you’ve asked him not to do it without warning.)
You can’t quite hold conversations like that yet, but you reckon it’d be fun to annoy everyone else around you with if you ever got him to that point.
The others at the speakeasy are mostly baffled by the fact you’re willingly sticking around, especially if you’re not a colleague, for Rocky’s company. Not many people can, well, tolerate him. He’s honestly a bit much sometimes.
But you liked him when you were running from the cops together in scant apparel covered head to toe in dirt as the flames digesting some poor sod’s patio crackled distantly and you wondered how a starry night walk by the riverside had so inexplicably devolved into acts of incidental vandalism, and you continue to like him nowadays.
He’s your friend, after all. The adventures born of questionable choices are part of the deal. And like his soft-spokenly reluctant cousin (except less so motivated by guilt) you’re there with him through it all to make sure he doesn’t get himself in serious trouble… much.

This is why they wrote the episode right? This is why they made this episode, is because somebody in the writers room was like I want to see him having tea with Morgan, wearing jewelry, wearing a hat. I want him wearing a very funny hat, and sure enough he did it. -Rider
And he still does it with such class. It's so funny. -Will
I also just love the writing...You can just see the writing staff sitting there with a thesaurus, like going how do we make him fancy as possible? We want him to be fancy pants. -Rider
And they wonder why we thought he was British? -Will

heller style emulation guide
ok so I was thinking about this for a while (how do you emulate this guy) and I think there are a few pretty big things in writing that he does that you can do also!
Describe pointless things in detail. The thing about Heller is that he is verbose, but in a good way. Characters get memorable descriptions that last sometimes for multiple paragraphs and/or anecdotes, locations receive detail but usually specific parts of them, and even objects can receive a whole page of description. Heller is good at building vivid imagry, but this is partially due to intense explaining. Rather than just "there was a blue cap", Heller would say shit like "Against the rough wood grain of the Australian table lay a small blue cap with fading sunspots. Its brim had been torn at in a few places, the stitching distressed and coming out in fragments of torn fibers..." VERBOSE
Eat a fuckin dictionary. Importantly, he uses the words correctly, but certainly you'll open a passage of Heller and begin to wonder how that thesaurus tasted on the way down. Be prepared for words like "acrid" and "lassitude" and "Falstaffian". To emulate him, it might be good to have a thesaurus on hand. BUT, ensure you actually are using the words correctly!
Don't be scared of adverbs. Its ok. I prommy. Heller likes his adverbs. He also uses shockingly simple nouns in dialogue "He said carefully", or into my next point...
Contradict yourself sometimes and use circular logic. This is what the dude is known for, but don't be afraid to say someone "whispered loudly" or "tripped gracefully" and use those adverbs! Don't overuse them, of course, but find where they could best be applied and recognize that they're another part of speech.
Whatever the fuck you call THIS. Additionally, he will say shit like: "Tea was delivered every afternoon during the heat of the day, when nobody wanted it. By the time evening had set, and the rooms grew cold, there wasn't a spot of tea to be found. The administrators found this the most effective method of offering tea because nobody wanted it, and they bought practically no tea. This was good, too, because nobody liked tea."
So... yeah! Have fun writing your c22 fanfic and this is my pocket guide for what I think you have to do to emulate him. Anyone can add on if they want!

@eternasci asked
What is your writing process? Do you go in one fell swoop? Do you leave and come back? Do you use a thesaurus? Do you re-read and swap out words? Do you try to match/beat your partner's length? Do you care about length at all? Do you look for fancier words? Do you get straight to the point? As artists, we only ever see your finished product. How do you craft your work?
pfft, what writing process—
That's a lie, though! I have a different writing process for RP replies than I do fanfiction, and an even DIFFERENT process for my original writing, but there's a lot of commonality between the three.
For things like RP ( which are often 1-2 paragraphs aside from the few novella things I get to write - which I adore btw, ) I tend to knock it out in one go, sort of treating the writing like a flood. Once I've written that first knockout, I'll take a break from that draft, and either go work on another, or spend time doing something else entirely. Only after I haven't seen the draft for 30 minutes at least, I'll go back through it with a fine tooth comb. It's here that I'll change words, check for flow, and make sure there are no obvious grammatical errors. This is a good way to make sure my drafting skills are up to par, and to prevent my brain from getting too anxious to write anything at all. If it's bad, well, I can fix it in the re-tool.
As for length, I try to make sure it's at least comparable in length, if not matching. I never want someone to feel like their writing and effort wasn't appreciated. That said, I do pride ( and dread ) my ability to be naturally verbose.
For fanfiction ( and novella RP, which I want to do more of ) I have... a weird process. Because I tend to write either one-shot fics or 3-4 chapter pieces at most, I have a plot structure in mind ( most of the time. ) So, I actually go through and write out short descriptors of what I want each scene to be, what purpose it serves, and how it should flow into the next. This is actually a tool I used to use to prevent writing block while I was drafting essays.
Once I have that general blocking done, I'll go in and flood writing the way I do for a RP. In fic, I may go through the flood and refine a few times, especially for difficult scenes ( fight scenes in particular -.-; )
In solo-writing settings, length matters less, but I do like fic chapters to be similar lengths to each other.
Other tools in my bucket are:
A thesaurus, yes - particularly now that I speak Spanish more, I find certain English words hard to remember. Fucking hammock! WHY is that word so hard to remember!
Playlists of instrumental music. I have a very bad habit of letting the songs I'm listening to influence the words I'm picking. While not the worst thing, I don't want to steal bits of wordplay by accident. I want my references to songs to be on purpose, haha.
Tea. No comment, everyone should drink more tea. Helps the brain think, and is part of my writing process.

the fact that canonically sae and rin have almost the exact same routine for starting the day but while sae drinks tea rin "recalls anger and sadness" is so funny. boy literally has being a hater in his checklist every day.
rin is honestly hilarious because like. he thinks he's the protagonist of a tragic tale about fighting god with your bare hands. he is introduced as this cool, aloof and detatched guy, and his aura of "don't get near me, I'm an untouchable genius" kinda even works for him, but only until he actually opens his mouth and what comes out is a sentence that a 3 year old having a meltdown about going to bed early might sound like if that toddler had access to a thesaurus and loved hot topic

I saw gifs of Katie McGrath for The Continental, and I had a MIGHTY NEED to share ideas I had of a crossover with RE Village:
In time, the Adjudicator would bond well with Donna Beneviento (Resident Evil: Village)!!
Possible trauma bonding, CHATS OVER TEA, Angie initially breaking the ice to make them both ATLEAST chuckle (awkwardly...lol), quietly sharing their vulnerability over fears/anxiety/TEARS/etc...
I haven't watched the show or researched details about The Adjudicator because I JUST saw gifs on my feed AND GOT SO EXCITED, but I sense a really bad no good tragic past... 😢... I think that Donna and her family, slowly but surely, would help her find happiness 💗💗. I REALLY hope so...
Back to Donna and The Adjudicator: platonic loving friendship? Slow burn romance? I feel that either would be great!! AdjuViento? DonnUnicator? JudgingBotany? BotanicalJudgement? (...I ran out of ideas lol.)
**Sidenote: I don't know The Adjudicator's name, so I used a thesaurus and my two remaining brain cells. 😅
I headcanon that The Four Lords are close siblings, Mother Miranda actually loves them, and she cares to help them with their physical/mental/emotional struggles, and struggles with their experiments or territories. (😣 I just want them all to be happy, please...)
OH, Alcina Dimitrescu would SO bond with The Adjudicator over claws/nails. Although, Alci would tease her about how short her nails are based on one of the gifs... (Just to annoy Alci 🤣, Karl Heisenberg would totally make fancy metal claws for The Adjudicator, kinda similar to M. Miranda's claws!)
The Adjudicator would also befriend and bond with Salvatore Moreau too: I hc Moreau to be super nice and try to comfort her about what is under her mask. He harbors so much sadness and desperation within... 😔.
M. Miranda adopt Adjudicator? The Adjudicator for Fifth Lord?

That's all for now, folks!
Thanks for reading ☺️💗!

Ah here we are at Sunday again. Queueing ahead so I’ve no idea who will have tagged me by the time this posts. Just know that I appreciate you. 🥰❤️
So time for sentences. Going to share some from ol’ reliable SAE and that crack fic I am still “working” on, and it’s all Simon pov all the time today.
First, Slings and Eros. Had another very big breakthrough since the last time I did a wip day and I’m so excited!
With a growl and a hard thrust, I drive the point of my blade into the wide trunk of a massive, burled oak. I can feel the crack reverberate up my arm and into my spine as the wood splits in two and the sensation is sucked out of me.
I've probably killed the tree, and I'm sorry for that, but it's not like I can do that to a person, and it's the only way I know to get rid of the feeling. I have to direct it somewhere. If not into a heart, then into the nearest object without one.
There's a black, smoking, scorched out hole in the tree trunk where my sword is planted. It’s the length of my forearm and the width of my thigh. I don’t think about how deep it goes inside.
The smell of burning wood is overpowering.
I close my eyes, drop my head against the sword's pommel, and let out a shaking breath.
I need to find Baz.
By Any Other Name:
He huffs a small laugh. I turn my face back to try to catch it in my teeth. "Pedestrian," he declares. "Unimaginative. Predictable."
"It's like being in bed with a thesaurus."
"That may be the most romantic thing you've ever said to me," he declares dramatically.
"You're such a swot," I say.
"Mmm, yes," he says, breathily. I can't tell if he's actually getting into it, or if he's just playing along. "Talk dirty to me, Snow," he murmurs. I want to laugh, but I also want to do as he says.
Idk why this silly crack fic is taking so long, but it’s fine because it’s not like I have a deadline and SAE really is my priority. I wrote this part like two weeks ago and then just stopped. Also this has gotten very off track from the premise but it stays because I like it.

Actually doing a tagging thing @fairytales-and-folklore (thanks for the tag <3)
Tagging: ... I think Fairy tagged most of the people I would but @sarebearcares @shelly-j @halcyonhue why not
Relationship status: in a relationship for 4.5 years, we moved in together in September :)
Favorite color: like a dark teal blue, super rich. Also lavender.
Favorite food: anything chocolate, most pastas, tea, waffles, uhh, other stuff I can’t think of right now.
Last thing I googled: I think about using nature words as descriptors for characters, I'm trying something for a fic of mine. Also a thesaurus.
Dream trip: right now? Anywhere near the ocean or coast. Preferably somewhere I can swim in said ocean. Maybe even a big lake, like the Great Lakes. East Coast most likely.
