Just because Obi-Wan is pregnant/sick/whatever your fetish is, doesn’t mean he has to give up caffeine, not all tea has caffeine in it. He could go herbal. He could go rooibos crazy and use the time without caffeine to find the perfect blend of tea to additives that he’ll love forever. He could have -*gags*- peppermint, he could have decaf black, he could have minimal caffeine white tea if he can have a small amount, he could have so much. Y’all ain’t know shit about tea and he doesn’t have to full stop his tea if he’s pregnant or sick or fuckin dying or whatever your fetish of the month is. You can make tea with cocoa, and I mean multiple types of that. You can also buy things like rose hips and orange peel shavings and vanilla pods and lemon shavings, ginger pieces, all this other shit. I think you could hand him some super high class caffeine free or low caffeine tea bases (loose leaf for his sensibilities obviously) and then a package of additives and he’ll just go crazy methodically trying new blends every time he wants tea and it’ll put some pep in his step to get to try lots of fancy things.
Is he super tired tho?? Yeah probably.

A beginner guide to tea blending 🌿
⚠️This is meant to be a simple guide based on my own research and experience, by all means, educate yourself further and double check everything before proceeding!⚠️
First, define your intention or goal for this blend: what medicinal properties do you want to extract from these plants? You should know the medicinal value and effects of each plant separately before trying them out together and finding out how they interact with each other. Similarly, taste all the herbs separately before putting them together to get a better tasting blend. You’ll have to find a good balance between:
the right dosage of each herb to get their medicinal value,
the taste of said herbs to your liking,
the right dosage to avoid any possible side effects.
The herbs that cause the main desired effect should take up to 70% of the blend.
One type of effect can be based on which system you want to work in (if the herbs all have similar positive effects on immune, circulatory, digestive, or other systems, like for example calming nerves or easing digestion). The other would be a nourishing effect (if the effects on each system cancel each other and thus you’re only taking in the nutrients, like minerals and vitamins, of the herb). The first kind would all have herbs that work together towards a common goal, the second would have effects that counteract each other so you only absorb their nutrients.
Then you’ll have supporting herbs, up to your 20%, that either boost the good medicine, and/or relief possible side effects of the main herbs.
Depending on the effects each plant has on your body, you’ll want them to boost each other or counteract each other. Also take into account if it’s an overall cooling or warming effect, boosting or slowing down metabolism, if it dries or moistens the tissues with minerals and fluids, and whether it’s relaxing or constricting/toning in tissues aswell.
Last should be possible catalysts. These are optional, but recommended. That would be up to 10% of stimulant herbs that boost metabolism or enhance the overall effects of  the others, to really get all the good stuff into your body.
Some good examples of catalysts are ginger root, cayenne or licorice root, but be careful with licorice as it can be toxic in high amounts!
To give you an example of how I’d put everything into practice: if my goal is to make a tea blend that’s toning, rich in minerals and vitamins and strengthens the immune system, I’d use 5 parts stinging nettle, 2 parts lemon balm (for the main effects), 2 parts thyme (supporting), and 1 part ginger root (catalyst), then sweeten to taste. Parts can be grams, teaspoons, or smaller measures, depending on how much blend you want to prepare. If you’re going to try this blend, do this exercise: research each plant, it’s medicinal value and side effects, and you’ll find out why I put them together!
Also, I personally love the taste of stinging nettle, yet someone else may prefer to use 5 parts of lemon balm and 2 parts of stinging nettle instead and get a slightly different result, more soothing to the nervous system, try it for yourself and always check for the effects and right dosages. I normally measure each part as grams, and this formula gives me around 2-3 liters of infusion, depending on how strong you make it. That is, using dry herbs, if you’re using fresh plant material you’ll need more grams. Normally 1 teaspoon of dry herb equals 1 tablespoon of fresh herb, or 1 part dried equals 3 parts fresh, but there may be slight differences between each plant depending on how much water it contains.
Finally, write everything down! The formula, how it worked for you and what it tastes like.
Thanks for reading ♡

⭐"-everything will definitely be alright!" tea ⭐
Tumblr media
disclaimer: these are personal associations, and all ingredients must be labeled as culinary/edible. i don't have specific measurements, if you like rose more then put more rose in it. if you like lavender more, then use more lavender, etc etc. measure with your heart and pay attention to what feels the most comforting.
⭐ what you need:
rose petals - love, self-love, comfort
lavender - calmness, gentleness
chamomile - healing
vanilla extract - passion, feelings of the heart
sweetener of your choice - sweetness, softening of anything harsh, friendship
a piece of cake on the side - familial love, close bonds, warmth, joy
⭐ what you need to do:
measure the floral ingredients with what your heart calls for.
mix said floral ingredients, and let them rest together (in a sealed container) for a full day and night.
during the next day, as the first stars begin to appear in the sky, remind yourself of how far you've come and what you've accomplished, as well as what you've healed and are healing from.
choose your favourite cup for your tea and take a moment to hold it, to appreciate it.
begin to brew the tea however you please. once it is done and hot, add your sweetener and vanilla. if you're like me and like to add milk to everything, do so (associations are the same as cake).
sit back in a comfy chair, play some nice music or hum a nice tune. say in your mind, "everything will definitely be alright." then, say it out loud or whisper it/mouth it.
take a bite of the cake, and repeat what you thought and said. say it as many times as you need to.
It's going to be okay.

Apollo Justice Tea Blend
Tumblr media
You will need:
🫚 Ginger (grounding/settle stomach)
🍊 Orange peel (ta give ya some zest)
🌼 Chamomile (calming)
🍯 Honey (soothes the throat)
🥛Milk (optional, avoid dairy as it may curdle due to the orange peel and also will cause you to be mucusy-- something you want to avoid with chords of steel!)
🫖 Tea bag/strainer (if you don't want loose bits floating in your cup)
Heat your water.
While you wait for the water to boil, add your ginger, orange peel and chamomile to your tea bag/strainer/ cup.
Once your water has boiled, pour into your cup, leaving room if you plan on adding some milk.
Add your honey.
Finish with your milk, if desired, and while you stir your honey in say/shout/think (really just whatever you're comfortable with), "I'm [y/n] and I'm fine!"

Self-Love Herbal Tea
This was a tea I intended to upload around valentine's day. I recommend making a big batch and drinking it every Friday (the day of Venus). I keep mine in a mason jar, dated and labeled.
Ingredients:
• Rose (for enhancing beauty, attraction, passion, sex, increase confidence, open your heart to healing)
• Lavender (for anxiety surrounding loving yourself, protecting the inner child, peace & harmony, attracts self-love)
• Jasmine (for bringing the affirmations to life, heighten attractiveness & seeing the beauty within yourself, luck with love)
• Damiana (for sexual passion, lust, attracting love, makes you aware of your emotions)
• A pinch of cinnamon (adding this boosts spellwork around love & lust, success around your goal, motivation to love yourself, deep inner healing, protection)
• Honey (to sweeten yourself, attraction, to make the intentions stick)
The herbs are in equal ratio - one part each. After boiling water in your kettle, drink intentionally for however many cups you desire. Stir in the cinnamon and honey, drawing a self-love sigil. I recommend creating your own. Speak positive self-love affirmations as you sip on this, aloud or in your head. I find this to be amplified. If there are parts of your body you find difficult loving, say affirmations that entice love for them and why.
*Please remember, as with any herbal tea, that if you have medical conditions to check with your doctor to make sure this doesn't interact with medications. There are herbs in this tea that you should not take while pregnant.

Note: I know elemental, gender, and planetary correspondences can vary based on the source, I chose the correspondence for each herb that I ran into the most. I am also aware that some people don't assign gender to herbs either.
For the rooibos I could not find an elemental, gender, or planetary correspondences, I have my own correspondences for rooibos but I didn't include them. If you know of any of these correspondences for rooibos please comment!

Our Flag Means Teablends
Some days ago I had a thought that if there was a tea blend based on Izzy Hands, it should be some bitter, smoked black tea or pure lapsang souchong.
This prompted me to wonder what tea blends could fit other characters and that's what I came up with:
Stede: flowery white tea with jasmine or darjeeling black with cornflower and rose petals
Ed: rum-infused assam black with raisins / gunpowder green
Jim: Orange pekoe ceylon black with dried orange peels
Oluwande: Kenyan rooibos with honey and anise
Izzy: Pine-smoked bitter lapsang souchong
Lucius: fruity oolong with rosehip and dried raspberries
Roach: China Keemun black (tobacco aroma)
Wee John: Gunpowder green, because he needs his gunpowder, ok?
Any other ideas? :) Feel free to use mine for your blends!

I just made a tea out of mugwort, damiana, mullein leaf, and blue cornflower.
It is super yummy.
No honey, sugar, or anything.
Just plain tea.
Let's see if any Astral projection works, or any vivid lucid dreaming happens.
I love collecting all these herbs.
