always happy about the fact that in 2012, mikey often asked donnie questions if he didn't understand something and donnie always answered no matter what

this can be seen in a bunch of episodes but my favorite example of it it's the one in half shell heroes where mikey is extremely excited to be in the museums and is the one actively asking donnie questions about the exhibits they saw and also actively listening to donnie's explanation (before raph got silly lmao). he was very excited to learn!!!

And while it's true that mikey would lose interest quite fast if the explanation got too lengthy with too many technical terms, it doesn't change the fact that he does retain the info donnie is always rambling on about different things!!! (even if mikey himself doesn't notice he's doing it lol) and also i find it very sweet that no matter if donnie himself got annoyed, donnie would always answer the questions. no matter what. he would always try to explain if he didn't understand something

This is prob because mikey is the one brother who is often seeking out donnie to pass time around him Meaning that donnie might have used mikey as his rubber ducky whenever mikey hangs out with him while he's working (explained him a lot of his experiments and theories while trying to solve them himself and in this way mikey also learnt in the process WHILE spending time with his brother! win win!)

it also helps donnie because accompanies him while not letting him get lonely in his lab 24/7, sometimes explaining things to someone makes it better to understand it yourself AND it's shown in the comics that donnie is quite used to his brothers just Living as background noise and literally cannot function without it lmao

They are literally the two smart kids in the family even if none of them notice it and it's all because mikey looks up to his brother and is like an sponge with donnie around. donnie is actively teaching mikey and mikey is learning! even if they have no idea they are doing it

fun fact about me: if i hyper fixate on a character long enough (cough finnick odair), i will genuinely fall in love with them. y’all know the study that states the brain can’t differentiate between fictional characters and real people and will make emotional connections with the fictional character? that’s me.

when i tell y’all i love finnick odair, i literally mean it. at first (last october), i was just attracted to him physically. months went by, and i wrote more and more about his character, i read more and more about him, how he speaks, acts, thinks, etc, and well… pfft, here i am.

everything about him is beautiful, like, down to core of what a human being can be—he’s beautiful. he’s like sunshine in human form, warm and vibrant. the way he speaks, not just his voice, but the words he uses and the way he articulates his thoughts are beautiful. His devotion and determination are beautiful. His kindness, his compassion, his strength of character AND HIS SMILEEEE LORD HELP ME HIS SMILE.

whenever i'm on a run, i imagine him running beside me, encouraging me to push further, praising me for my perseverance, and it actually works?? imagining him there with me literally helps me do better.

and the thing is, seeing his death, reading about it, or even hearing his screams makes me start sobbing. like, it evokes real genuine distress.

things that make me aboslutely batshit insane about this scene:

1.) sam being so willing to just straight up kill himself (i love u martyr boy <3)

2.) dean's absolute REFUSAL of that plan (the very soft way he says "for the last time, no" to sam when its just the two of them - i could survive on that alone for eternity)

3.) dean is willing to give up his most PRIZED POSSESSION, HIS PRECIOUS IMPALA, to a COMPLETE STRANGER, bc he's not leaving sam here alone to die

4.) sam trying so hard to get dean to leave, to get dean to live (but ultimately failing because if sam isn't alive dean doesn't want to be either in fact he'll make sure he isn't either)

5.) dean trying to use humor to make this all seem so casual once they're alone, as if he isn't sacrificing his life for the sake of his brother

I truly believe that if Sam was infected and Dean did have to kill him, he'd pull him into a big ol' bear hug, press their faces together cheek to cheek, put the gun at his temple, and pull the trigger to shoot both of them in the head simultaneously.
