putting my stranger things band au out into the world

weve got steve on main vocals/guitar

robin on bass/backup vocals (although there are a couple songs where she takes main)

and max on drums

do they have a specific genre? who tf knows i chose these songs for their lyrics and story but i imagine some would be modified to create a more uniform sound

now for the album in order(please hear me out on some of these):

Dear Reader- Taylor Swift (steves song to dustin)

BNBG- Djo (steve meeting eddie and discovering hes bi)

To Love a Boy- Maya Hawke (robin song!! self explanatory)

Change- Djo (steve reflecting on who he used to be vs who he is now)

Dial Drunk- Noah Kahan (steve gets arrested for xyz and his parents wont answer)

Somebody’s Baby- Sidney Gish (robin song 2!! start of her crush on nancy)

Acolyte- Slaughter Beach, Dog (90% written by steve before eddies death and finished after)

Run the World!!!- Dayglow (written by max! they all call it their fun song but its definitely still more about her ptsd and depression)

Strange Time- Matt Maltese (steve wrote this soon after eddie died)

Coffee- Chappell Roan (duet between steve and robin about their shared ex, nancy. they all ofc still love her and are very close friends but this was written during a rough patch post ronance breakup)

Brother- Fenne Lily (co-written by max and steve about their relationship)

ceilings- Lizzy McAlpine (steve keeps forgetting that eddie has died)

Francesca- Hozier (stobins soulmate song! written by robin because she knows steve feels guilty about dragging her into the upside down but she doesnt regret it because now she has him)

vague storyline is that steve starts getting into music to cope with all of the upside down shit sometime between end of season 1 and season 2. he starts seeing eddie after season 3 and is head over heels for him before eddie (still) dies at the end of season 4 and is (obviously) heartbroken.

after max heals she starts learning the drums to help process emotions better and also around this time robin and nancy start a budding romance. steve learns about max playing the drums and starts having jam sessions w her and later on robin also joins and its just very cathartic for them all. nancy and robin are kinda on again off again until steve and robin write Coffee together which firmly puts them in the past and they remain good friends after. (i love ronance i swear but for whatever reason in this au i just dont see them lasting longterm) (also i feel bad because the story of Coffee feels like it makes out nancy to be a villain and i love her i swear)

after a few years steve, robin, and max decide to start playing local bars and small shows and eventually are discovered and release their first and only album. the album gets wildly popular and they tour for a bit but none of them really wanted fame and decided that they really just preferred making music in their living rooms. they do pop up shows at small venues every now and again and they still consider themselves A Band.

likely they get rediscovered on tik tok or something and everyone is coming up with theories on the story of the album(stupid shit like ‘he said eddie in acolyte right’ ‘no dude he said annie steve isnt gay god some people’ or some weird love triangle involving steve robin and some mystery person) so they all make a video talking about the history of the band and steve comes out and opens up about how some of the songs are about eddies death (which starts another fire once people find out that steves eddie is eddie munson because obviously everyones heard of the hawkins murders at which point steve releases a video basically telling everyone to not talk about shit they know nothing about and to fuck off and leave him alone and after that the band is never heard from online again) happily ever after the end :) i just needed this out of my brain

Errmm.....they’ve been together for a bit (I’d say mutual fascism defines them, honestly) and the preggo scare just happened. If anything, I’d peg it as, yeah, not preggers, but decide they want to keep trying....

Dude....whyyyy do you persist with the “Jabi are just friends and don’t love each other” bullshit and that she’s gonna give him up heroically? Last episode we literally had Jug saying the only thing that matters to him is her believing in him. He chose her, repeatedly.....she tried nearly 1400 times to find a scenario where he wouldn’t die. And is utterly despondent over it.

Also, the black woman “has to save everybody”???? Way to now have a modern day lynching you disgusting racist.

Couples “out of the way first”???? My god, you are just fucking gross....and no, we know for a fact, Jabi are “rock solid” thru, again, at least 19.....2 or 3 eps later. And LBR, the reason you want it in the musical? Is because the last two musical eps were abysmal for your ship.....and you want a romantic Jizzy duet, cuz you think you were “cheated”.

Pretty much NOT, Racist. They aren’t splitting up next ep, dude.....and even then, Jug chose Tabs when Slizzy was completely single....

Umm....again, “kids now” is different from “kids never”, dullard....and they’re staring down “end of the world/humanity”. Ummm.....again, Douchie doesn’t “spend time” with Vermin, and both Jug and Douchie spend time with wimmin they have zero romantic attachment to, ever.....it’s as if the show is looking to depict renewed “friendships/alliances” and it’s completely platonic, huh????

He isn’t “Vale” Douchie, tho....and, again, “little less than kind”? Slizzy gleefully murdered him in the Vale, multiple times.....but yeah, that’s not nearly so egregious as feeling adoption won’t work for you (which, BTW, perfectly viable view of things....)

Umm....Jizzy aren’t “spending moar and moar time together”. They investigate something in one ep. Non-romantically. Again, “rock solid Jabi” or do you know moar than the actors on the show about shit they’ve already read and filmed, Racist? Again, dude....no, the musical won’t be for your ship....see above.

Also, we know it doesn’t happen as of 15 and the musical is 17 or 18? So you get all this happening in now TWO eps? I thought everybody would be breaking up last ep and all the OG ships back together before the musical ep? Oh, right....goalpost moving....yet again....

Also, why TF does Tabs need to “go out with a heroic sacrifice”??? Because she’s black and you want a lynching you disgusting racist piece of trash? Cause that’s what I;M getting here....

18-22 will be about the final battle, moron.....and, again, try following interviews

Plus, here’s the thing....Jug currently knows he’s gonna die...but, again, he chooses Tabitha/she chooses him, repeatedly....because while he could do otherwise, he opts not to...because he loves HER

Mystery Skulls Animated explained as well as i can put it - a reference for any MSA aus I post in the future

For easy reference and watching, here are the videos in order, along with the official comic:

Alright. Now if you’ve never seen the series before you may be feeling a little… ??? about who everyone is. Here’s some info for those who feel dazed and confused! (Please note: most of the images below are gifs, however mobile sucks at downloading gifs online so they don’t exactly … gif. But I’m a bit lazy so search them up if you feel inclined. I recommend you do as they’re quite interesting.)

Also, fun tip!: COLORS and SYMBOLISM are very important to Mystery Skulls Animated. Chances are that if you see something in the series that is a specific color, it’s linked to the character associated with the color(s)!

This is Arthur Kingsmen. He’s a 22-year old mechanic who works at Kingsmen Mechanics, owned by his uncle. He’s part of a paranormal investigation group called The Mystery Skulls.

This is Vivi Yukino. She’s a 24-year-old bookseller who works at The Tome Tomb, owned by a mysterious person named Duet. She’s part of The Mystery Skulls gang and formerly close to Lewis.

This is Lewis Pepper. He was a 21-year-old cook and waiter at his family’s restaurant, Pepper Paradiso. He was part of The Mystery Skulls gang and formerly close to Vivi.

This is Mystery Yukino. He’s Vivi’s … dog??? (He’s actually a Japanese yokai called a kitsune) He’s The Mystery Skulls gang’s companion.

This is Reverb. (formerly known to the fandom as ???. Below is Murder Mystery, Reverb’s possession of Mystery.) He is a demon who’s the subject of intensive research by a mysterious person named Solo who works for an even more mysterious Station.

This is Shiromori. She’s a yokai created by Mystery.

This is Mushi Yukino, Vivi’s distant ancestor. She possessed ice magic.

These are Duet and Chloe, left to right. Duet is Vivi’s boss. (They/them) Chloe is Vivi’s coworker. (She/her) They both work at The Tome Tomb.

WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING HERE. (aka I explain the series’ events somewhat in case you don’t get it)

GHOST:

The Mystery Skulls are on one of their investigations, this time exploring a haunted/supernatural mansion. This mansion is Lewis’s, and he resides there. The gang soon finds this out, however as Lewis is in a ghostly form, none of them recognize him.

When Mystery looks back at the painting, the video cuts to a flashback. This is the inciting event.

During this flashback, a human Lewis drives the gang to a cave. This cave is where Reverb is. Reverb is the shadowy figure visible for a moment.

Reverb possesses Arthur and forces him to kill Lewis.

Lewis doesn’t realize Arthur was possessed, and as such, becomes a ghost.

Vivi witnesses this event, but some unknown force causes her to forget this, as shown in LOSING MY MIND.

Mystery transforms into a Kitsune and bites off Arthur’s arm to stop the spread of the possession.

In the present, Lewis offers Vivi his anchor (the golden heart attached to his chest. It is also called his locket.) but Arthur pulls Vivi away out of fear for her safety. His anchor breaks when Vivi drops it. Because of this, Lewis takes offense and gets angry, blowing up.

After that, Lewis watches them leave, the anger fading. He opens his anchor, revealing he’s the Lewis from the flashback and that he was very close to Vivi. He cries and fades away, his energy possibly spent from his outburst.

FREAKING OUT

During a shot in the beginning, it’s revealed that Reverb is still alive after the inciting incident. The only catch is… he’s crawling around in Arthur’s severed arm. During this shot, it’s clear that he wants to a oid Shiromori.

Shiromori uses magical flower petals to track down people - but she needs remnants of a person’s essence to do so successfully. (Kinda like a dog!) She’s trying to track down someone, but is unable to without enough essence. She finds the solution in Lewis’s anchor, which gives her access to the essence to grow flowers connected to Vivi, Arthur, and Lewis. … And Mystery.

Lewis is inside of the anchor, and he comes out of it — very angry because Shiromori is touching what is essentially a part of him!

This prompts Lewis to fight her, but fire beats plants any day… so Shiromori accepts that she needs to retreat in order to preserve Mystery’s flower. She blows on it to begin tracking him and leaves.

Meanwhile, Lewis ruminates for a moment. He crushes Arthur’s flower and takes Vivi’s and puts some of the petals in his anchor, restoring it to normal.

It’s revealed that Arthur has been looking for Lewis during the short clips of him during this video. He also has lasting trauma from what Mystery has done to him, but appears to have memory issues regarding the event.

Mystery discovers a petal from his flower and immediately recognizes what it is, showing that he and Shiromori have… a past.

When he gets hit by a truck, Lewis makes the split-second decision to possess it, changing it into a badass Dekotora-style truck and hitting the road—

HELLBENT

Arthur is doing routine maintenance on the van. Nothing new. (Fun fact, the van is his!)

When he goes into the van, that trauma mentioned before comes into play. He’s terrified of Mystery. He does bring himself to gently pet him though.

Arthur begins driving to the next location, no doubt somewhere else he believes Lewis is located.

The van stops due to paranormal interference. (Cough- Lewis- cough.) Arthur’s growing panic spikes after he sees Lewis’s awesome ride and he slams his prosthetic on the dash, causing it to short out and stop functioning.

The chase begins.

Shiromori locates the van and attacks. She is bloodthirsty.

All this drama culminates when Lewis knocks the van off of the road, causing it to crash at Kingsmen Mechanics.

This wakes up Arthur’s Uncle Lance, who grabs his shotgun in suspicion.

During the brief flashes of pictures, it’s shown that Shiromori is a yokai created from Mystery’s blood who lived in a “White Forest” with him. Mushi came to battle Mystery, and it can be inferred from previous and current events that he abandoned Shiromori for Mushi.

Shiromori makes a move to attack Mystery, but Vivi hits her with her bat. In Shiromori’s dazed state, Vivi looks similar to her ancestor, Mushi. This makes Shiromori VERY ANGRY.

Meanwhile, Lewis grabs an unconscious Arthur and throws him in the truck, which somehow has been supernaturally transformed into a pink version of the cave from before. The Deadbeats (yes, the little ghosts that follow around Lewis are canonically called the Deadbeats) corral Arthur to the side of the cave with the cliff, where Lewis hoists Arthur up, ready to finally exact his revenge.

Lewis reveals his human face to him, and that’s when Arthur realizes the ghost that’s been chasing him is none other than his “missing” best friend. The last thing he utters before Lewis drops him is simple — his name.

THE FUTURE

As Arthur falls to his death, Lewis regrets his decision to kill him. He begins to make the constructed spikes disappear, but he’s shot in the anchor by Lance first. This causes the entire construct to come apart, and Arthur lands safely inside a pile of boxes.

When Shiromori goes to attack Vivi, Mystery transforms into his kitsune form and bites his arm — which immediately stops her from attacking, as the smell of his blood is too enticing for her to care about Vivi anymore.

Mystery turns his head to tell Vivi to make a break for it, but instead she reaches out for her bat (that’s glowing with energy), causing her to find herself in a kind of spirit realm where she sees Mushi. Mushi reaches out, offering her hand, and Vivi reaches out in turn - we flash back to reality, and this motion is what causes her to summon the bat in her hands, now enchanted with deadly ice magic. Vivi immediately uses it to protect Mystery, and the power of the ice shows itself to be very effective against Shiromori.

Meanwhile, Arthur comes to and finds Lewis’s anchor. He takes it and looks inside, seeing the previous image of Lewis and Vivi. This shocks Lewis, as again — part of him is being touched — and as Arthur stares at it, it slowly changes to be a picture of the entire gang.

Lewis is obviously angry at his anchor being touched once again and snatches it from him. But when he looks inside, he too realizes it’s changed. And it surprises him. So much that he finds himself in tears.

Cut back to Vivi and Shiromori! They’re both battling it out intensely — and to no one’s surprise, ice also beats plants. (Sorry, Shiro.) Vivi has the chance to defeat Shiromori for good, but she decides not to, and walks away. … And Mystery does too.

Shiromori doesn’t accept this defeat.

Mystery’s heart literally breaks watching Shiromori land a devastating hit on Vivi. He lunges for one last attack and manages to get gravely wounded.

Vivi decides to go back on her previous decision and she strikes Shiromori with a killing blow.

Mystery watches his creation die — and Reverb takes this moment of weakness as the perfect chance to possess him.

… And that’s it! Video five is still in production so we all have to suffer on that cliffhanger!

heya, so before i get into this i wanna let whoever is reading my daily rants know that i'm going to be on vacation from july 11 to july 13 i think? i'll most likely leave my laptop at home and therefore won't be able to post the episodes for those days, and even if i do bring my laptop i'm going to try to enjoy my time out lol. i'll probably just rewatch them early and schedule the posts for those days or rewatch them when i get back. on another note, ep 104 is definitely one of my top 3 favorite season one episodes, definitely excited for this one!

tbh i kind of agree with her here. for halloween i've thought more than once about dressing up like characters from a musical, but then i realise that they're just high schoolers wearing normal high school clothes. sure, some may be recognisable, but other than troy's red and white shirt and chad's iconic t-shirts with messages nothing really stands out.

stretched back in the chair Jihoon and I shared. “FINALLY! We’re done with the track!” “I know right, finally. It sounds awesome! I can’t wait to start the choreo!” He smiles brightly holding his hand up waiting for a high five. I blushed slightly as I reciprocated the high five. “I’m in awe, you’re incredible with mixing music together! Who knew THEE Y/n was good at something other than dance.” He chuckles. “Hey give yourself some credit too! If it weren’t for you watching me dance and getting this brilliant idea of mixing our styles we wouldn’t be here!” I confess. The boy stares at me for a moment, eyebrow raised. “Hmm, you like it when I watch you dance.” What?! “I- fuck no!” I yelled pushing him off the chair as a reflex. Jihoon glares at me from the ground, rubbing his butt from the sudden impact. “Pfffft, hahahaha!!” We burst out. “Are you guys killing each other yet?” Yoonbin enters the room. “Um, what the heck happened here?” He questions. “Oh, we just finished fixing the track.” Jihoon crosses his legs looking up at the taller boy. “Took you guys long enough it’s been almost 5 hours since you guys started.” The tall boy leans on the door frame. Wow, almost 5 hours. 5 HOURS!! HOLY SHIT I FORGOT ABOUT YEONGUE!! I rapidly grabbed my phone checking the time. 10:45 Shit.

I quickly dialed up my younger brother. “I am sooo sorry I forgot to text.” I pout from the other side of the call. “Yeah, whatever where are you I’m hungry.” Yeongue responded. I could tell he was annoyed, he hated being alone at night. “Hey, I know you’re mad and I’m sorry, I’ll pick up your favourite ramen from the store just give me a few ok.” I apologize. “Just get here quick.” And after that he hung up. Shit I fucked up so badly.

The boys were chatting away when I abruptly got up and headed for the door. “Y/n? Y/N!” I ignored Jihoons call. I put my shoes on and grabbed my bag ready to head out the door. I felt a hand grabbing my arm and stopping me. I turned around to face the culprit, Jihoon? “Where are you off to in a hurry?” “None of your business.” I deadpan. “Cut the shit Y/n it’s almost 11 pm. As much as I dislike you, I’m not going to let you leave here when it’s pitch dark outside.” Huh? Did I hear that right? Park Jihoon doesn’t want me alone at night by myself!? “Come on.” He says putting on his shoes and dragging me towards his car. “Bin!! Can you send the mix later.” He yells out. Yoonbin his thumb up, giving him the aye ok.

“Where too?” Jihoon asks staring up the car. “Convenience store.” Jihoon pulled out of the driveway and headed towards the nearest convenience store. I still can’t believe he wouldn’t let me leave. Why? A week ago he didn’t give a shit if I left without him. I looked out the window and sighed. Why does my mind keep replaying that moment? My heart fluttered at the thought of it. What no Y/n get a grip! He’s like your enemy, he’s annoying, a show off, and only cares for himself. Or does he? UGH! “Y/N!” I snap back into reality. I turn to the driver’s seat. “We’re here.” Jihoon says. I nod, getting out of the car and heading into the convenience store.

I quickly grabbed 5 packets of my brothers favourite ramen and got back into the car. “Uh, if you just turn here and follow the road-” “Don’t worry I remember.” The boy gives me a small smile. I can’t tell if that’s sweet or just plain creepy. The car ride was quiet until Jihoon spoke up. “Why did you need to leave all of the sudden? It isn’t safe at this hour.” “Yeongue.” “Pardon?” I didn’t know what came over me but, I felt like I owed him the truth. “He doesn’t like being all alone at night. Our mom isn’t really home much cause of her job, so I take care of him.” I confess. “Wow, that’s really mature of you.” I chuckle to myself. “Thanks Jihoon.”

We finally reached my house. Jihoon pulled into my driveway and unlocked the door. “Uh, let me walk you to your door.” He speaks up. What, why is he being a gentleman all of a sudden. “It’s literally a 5 second walk from your car, it’s not like I’m going to jumped.” I try refusing the offer but he insists. “True, but who knows. I don’t want my dance partner to get hurt.” Aww, that’s kinda sweet. “Or else I’ll never hear the end of it from Mr. Yang and Herin.” I take that back. “Wow, thanks.” I rolled my eyes and got out of the car.

Jihoon and I walked towards my front door in silence. No, more like AWKWARD silence. Once we reached the front door the both of us awkwardly turned to each other. “Uh, so this’s me.” I say avoiding his gaze. “Yeah, guess it is.” Why is he acting all coy now? Like a minute ago he was insulting me. And they say girls are the confusing ones. I grabbed my keys from my bag and reached to open the door.

“Y/n! Thanks.” I turned to him in surprise. “Thanks? Thanks for what?” I raised an eyebrow. “I mean for listening to my ideas and with the mix.” Jihoon scratches the back of his neck avoiding my gaze. I stare at him blankly. Huh? Is he being grateful for once? And is he BLUSHING?! No, Y/n get a hold of yourself, he’d never. “No problem Ji.” I smile brightly. He shifted his gaze back to me, eyes lighting up like a puppy. Shit. The boy smiles back. His smile, why haven’t I noticed it before? “Ji, I like that nickname.”

The two of us stood there as if time stopped. It was just me and him, and for once I didn’t really mind the company. “FINALLY! You’ve been gone for so long- Oh. My. God, was I disturbing something?” Yeongue bursts through the door. Both of us jumping back from surprise. “WHAT NO! NOTHING WAS HAPPENING!” I scream. “EXACTLY! GET YOUR MIND OUT OF THE GUTTER GUE!” Jihoon screams. “Nothing would ever happen between us.” I huff. “Yeah.” Jihoon says with slight disappointment in his voice. I stepped into my house beside Yeongue. “Anyways, before we got RUDELY interrupted.” I nudge my younger brother. “I was going to say thanks for the ride.” I say growing quiet. “Anytime.” Jihoon replies. The tall boy turns around and walks back to his car.

“Are you sure~ nothing was happening between you guys?” Yeongue nudges. “Of course NOT! There was just an awkward silence between the two of us.” Yeah, that. Awkward silence. I looked over at Jihoon and sighed. Today wasn’t as bad with him by my side, it was kinda fun. I looked down and smiled to myself trying to keep my happiness to myself. But little did I know my brother notices this. “Hmmm, then you wouldn’t mind if he stayed over for dinner?” “Sure.” I accidentally let slip out. “Great! Oh Jihoon~” Wait. WAIT! “wAIT, I DIDN’T MEAN!” It was too late, my brother snatched the plastic bag full of ramen and ran over to the car. This little shit, I swear to God.

“Jihoon since you brought my sister home, I’d like to thank you by inviting you to have dinner with us.” Yeongue smiles with his eyes practically begging the older boy to stay. “Uhhhh.” He hesitates. Yes, please say no. “What about your mom, I’m sure she wouldn’t like a boy over this late.” He lets out. “Noooo, it’s fine moms not home anyways.” My brother counters. “I- what about your sister, she doesn’t seem to like me.” He glances at me, as I stick out my tongue. He chuckles. “Aww, common she’s always like that don’t mind her! Please stay it’ll be fun common, pLEASE!” Yeongue begs. I glance at Jihoon leaning on the door frame of my house. He seemed flustered at my brothers cuteness, I laugh to myself. No one can resist my brother cuteness. The boy thought about it for awhile, then finally gave in. “Sure why not.” Yeongue really owes me after this. I thought dragging my feet into the house. This is gonna be a long night.

I was currently in the kitchen cooking three packs of ramen I bought, while the two boys were in the living room chatting away with a movie played in the background. I boiled the water and placed the soup base along with the ramen. I sat on the counter watching the movie from the kitchen, sometimes glancing at my brother and Jihoon. I started thinking back to Yoonbin’s house. Man, I think that was the first time Jihoon and I really got along. I look towards the boy sitting on my couch, head facing the tv, once in a while turning to my brother, cracking a joke or two about how the movie was so cringe. He really knew how to treat my brother. I raised my hand to my cheek. Huh? Am I blushing? Park Jihoon what are you doing to me, I’m supposed to hate you. I shook the thoughts from my head and went back to cooking ramen.

“Ramens ready!” I yell bringing the pot to the coffee table, resting it on an oven mitt so the table wouldn’t burn. “Took you long enough.” Jihoon blurts out. “I’m sorry, lemme just tell the ramen to cook faster next time.” I say sarcastically. “Hey, be nice he’s a guest.” My brother glares at me. “hEy, He’S a GuEsT bE nICe, go get some bowls and chopsticks, will ya.” I mock. Yeongue reluctantly gets up and goes to the kitchen. “Hey, Jihoon you know you could’ve declined right?” I say sitting down beside him. “Hmm? Oh I know but, your brother was just so convincing, yaknow with his face.” He says waving a hand over his face, I chucked punching his shoulder slightly. The boy smiles running his hand through his hair. “Got the stuff.” Yeongue says placing the cutlery in front of us. “Alright let’s dig in.” I say sticking my chopsticks into the pot grabbing some ramen.

It was currently 1:25 am. The three of us finished the ramen and the movie. Yeongue was on the couch currently asleep, he didn’t finish the movie with us. While Jihoon and I were on the floor sitting. “Man I love this movie.” I yawn. “It’s alright.” Jihoon lets out. “What? Oh come on! This movie is so good! The way the main character and her crush got together was so cute! I pout. “Ok, fine I give, it was cute.” My eyes lit up as I smiled at him. “I can’t wait for the next movie, the guy from camp comes back.” I start to ramble, not noticing Jihoon staring at me, his cheeks turning a faint pink. “Hey, quiet down your brothers sleeping.” Jihoon cuts me off. Hmmm? “Oh crap right. How am I gonna get him to his room.” I questioned. “I mean I can carry him.” Jihoon suggests. “No, its ok you must be tired, I’ll do it.” I protest. I got up and hovered over my brother preparing myself to carry him to his room. I was about to pick him up when I felt a hand on my shoulder. “Don’t worry Y/n I got this.” He shoots me a reassuring smile. I took a step back and let him pick my brother. “Uh, follow me.” I slightly blush leading the boy up the stairs to Yeongue’s room.

After tucking my brother into bed we headed down stairs to clean up. “Thanks.” “No problem.” Jihoon says. I headed over to the living room to go collect the dishes left on the coffee table. “Hey lemme help, I help create this mess, so let me help clean.” Jihoon says taking the dishes and heading to the kitchen. “Whatever.” I roll my eyes trailing behind him. The two of us stood at the sink In silence washing the dishes, till I felt something wet on my face. I glared at the person next to me who was holding the detachable sink head while snickering. “Park. Jihoon!” I shout. He sprays me again. “Aye, shut up or you brother will wake up and think somethings going on between us.” He says smirking with his index finger over his mouth. I stared at the boy with rage in my eyes yet my face was flushed from his comment. “It’s so on Park!” I say grabbing a cup of water and throwing it at him.” And thus a heated water battle started. Puddles of water started to form on the kitchen floor, both of us running around the kitchen trying to avoid each other’s attacks.

*THUD* I slipped on one of the puddles of water, laughing my head off, while Jihoon came over to help me up. “Omg, Y/n are you ok!” He says while still laughing. “Yeah I’m fine just a little sore.” I look at him smiling. He stuck his hand helping me up. “I’m so screwed when my mom comes home to this mess.” I say looking around seeing water scattered all over the place. Jihoon chuckles, “Sorry about that.” He scratches the back of his neck with his other hand, as his other is still occupied with holding mine. Honestly, I didn’t really mind.

“Roman! Roman slow down!” yelled Virgil almost running to catch up with the prince. “Are you out of your mind!? Have you forgot you can't go fooling around here on your own!?”

“I'm sorry I just… I…” Roman shook his head looking confused and Virgil couldn't but take pity on him.

“Nobody blames you for loving your brother Roman.” he said, hand on the prince’s shoulder.

“You don't understand.”

“I think I do, more than you think.”

“He was like that for a while, almost... normal. But then, he just changed and I couldn't accept it so i just… ch-chose to forget it.”

“There's no shame in that, I've done that sort of thing before.”

They kept walking, not realizing the distance they were putting between them and the others.

“They're walking too fast!” Patton said, and then tried to catch up. “Kiddos!” He yelled, but they didn’t seem to hear him.

A thunderous sound made everyone halt. There was silence for a few moments before the weirdest stampede they've ever witnessed appeared in front of them .

Gray frames filled the hallways rushing towards them, more specifically, Thomas.

“Oh shit” cursed Remy, grabbing Thomas' hand, instantly running in the other direction.

The others weren't slow in following them. Roman and Virgil a bunch of meters behind. The frames floated in the air and together formed some sort of buzzing swarm. The sound they made together was terrifying.

Patton looked back one more time to make sure the other two sides were still behind them but stopped dead on track as he saw how close they were to be eaten by the big mass (if that was what the frames did?). He saw Roman tackle Virgil to the side, both of them being immediately swallowed by a memory on the wall, seemingly safe.

“Patton!” he heard Logan yell, but it was too late to start running again.

“Shit shit shit shit” Remy runned past him and just as the frames were on them, he made a weird gesture with his arms and hands. A wall appeared in front of all of them and they all flinched when they heard what must have being the frames crashing in the other side.

“Fuck”

“What was that!?” asked Thomas, in panic, and Logan made an attempt to answer.

“We alread-”

“I know but what were they trying to do to me!?”

“… We need to get you out of here, they'll find a way to you again.” none of them knew what to think of Remy's serious tone. “I'll turn this into a maze instead of a hallway. It'll make it more difficult to find you, but it's just a matter of time before…”

“But what about Roman and Virgil!?” interrupted Patton.

“I'll send them back later!” Remy hastily interjected.

“We can't leave without them!” baffled, Remy watched the other two nod.

“Seriously? You too, Logic?”

“It would certainly be a bad idea for Thomas to go back without his creativity and anxiety. We already saw what happened when Virgil is not around I don't want to think how would it affect him if we added Roman's absence to it.”

“Ugh babes, this is why Deceit doesn't like you.” said Remy, but started walking as a hallway opened for him out of nowhere. “We should hurry. I don't want to see what those memories could do…”

“You don't know!?”

“Well it hasn't happened before!”

It was an easy guess to say this was another of Deceit's memories. The sepia tone to it a dead giveaway (much to Virgil's displeasure). However, what made him look around in wonder was the fact that they were in Roman's theater. It wasn't until he stumbled into Roman that he realized there was music. Someone was singing, but it wasn't Roman.

“And if it turns out it's over too fast, I'll make every last moment last, as long as you're mine…” he heard an intake of breath, he himself remind himself to close his mouth.

It was Deceit and Roman, both in the middle of the stage. The deceitful side was sitting on the floor while Roman was on one knee. What shook Virgil the most was the way they were looking at each other.

“I never thought you were that good of an actor…” said the anxious side, half joking. But Roman didn't seem to be listening.

“... But you've got me seeing through different eyes” sang the Roman from the memory and Virgil was hit with a realization. “Somehow I've fallen under your spell…” sang the past Roman, with a smirk.

“... whAT!?” he exclaimed, making Roman flinch. “You and Deceit!?”

“I-I can… I can explain!” said the fanciful side, putting his hands in front of him trying to appease Virgil.

“You better! You-when? Why!?”

“Say there's no future for us as a pair…”

“It's- it was a while back! It meant nothing! It…” the more the prince talked, Virgil noticed, the more his voice trembled.

“I though I may know I don't care.”

“Roman…” whispered Virgil, as tears ran through the prince's face. They both looked back to see the other two finish the song, smiling. Virgil barely remembered Deceit smiling like that and not his usual shit eating grin.

“What is it?” asked the yellow side.

“Hey! That's supposed to be my line!” complained the prince, still holding the other in his arms. Deceit only rolled his eyes.

“What is it?” asked the snake again, receiving a huff from Roman, but the other quickly composed himself.

“It's just- for the first time, I feel wicked.”

They both kept smiling to each other. For a moment, for a horrifying moment, Virgil thought he was going to see them kiss. But as Roman leaned down the memory ended.

They both awkwardly stood in the empty hallway. Roman was looking at the frame in surprise. And if Virgil had been looking for it, he might had found a trace of hope in his eyes.

As it was, he just looked around. There was a wall in the direction they had been running. And there was no more crazy gray frames lurking around. He saw from the corner of his eye how Roman sat down, seemingly getting to the same conclusion as him. Wait until the others found them.

Virgil was a mess of emotions, he wanted so much to say something but at the same time he didn't know what. He waited while Roman looked around, he watched as his eyes settled in another yellow frame, but making no attempt at touching it.

They sat there for a while, the silence was slowly eating Virgil alive. He took a breath to talk when Roman beat him to it.

“He used to come to the theater while I was practicing.”

“O-oh, he did?”

“Yeah, he would stay in the stands, clap and throw roses…” said the prince, a smile in his face. “Sometimes would come up and say some lines.”

“When was this?” anxiety asked, hugging his knees. he didn't know how to feel. On one side, he hated Deceit, on the other...He just couldn't forget the look on either of their faces. It was as if… as if...

“Way before he revealed himself to Thomas? I think?”

“I see” he said, and really, what else could he say?

“We used to talk a bit, after.”

“Yeah?”

“Mhm” Roman glanced at Virgil to see his reaction. “About you.” at Virgil's squint he gave a shrug. “He would ask how you were doing, I always asked him why he didn't go ask you himself. He only said it was complicated.” Virgil gulped.

“Did he ever tell you?”

“I don't think he ever told me the whole thing. He would say it had something to do with trust? Something about the others being shits…” Virgil nodded.

“Mmm, him too.” Roman snorted at that.

“Yeah he said that too.”

“Won't he get mad you're telling me this?” ventured Virgil, after a minute of silence, making Roman frown.

“Uh… maybe. I don't know if it matters though.” at that, it was Virgil's turn to frown.

“What do you mean?”

Roman points at the yellow frame he was looking at before. It showed hectic movements and Virgil wasn't sure what was happening in there, but it did look like Roman was there.

“…It's what that frame shows I think, at least it looks like it…” Roman shivered, hugging himself. Virgil thought that he looked smaller. “After the court thing… we got into a fight, I said some things…” he stopped himself.

“Uh…”Virgil didn't know what to say, until Roman frowned. “What?”

“The worst part is… He said it would happen. When I first asked him to come up stage and sing a duet with me.” Roman shivered again and hugged himself harder. Virgil sat closer to him, earning a sad but grateful smile from the prince. “He said I was going to regret trying to be his friend.”

“…Do you?”

“At that moment? I think I believed I did…” he sighed. “Now…?”

“I guess I understand that a little.” said the anxious side, earning a surprised look from Roman. “I mean, I still can't stand that little shit but… n-not everything back then was bad, you know?”the prince nodded. “He used to got my back and I got his when the others were being… um, not nice. It got to a point were I couldn't… I-” Roman put a hand on his shoulder. “I just couldn't stand it anymore. I needed reassurement. I needed to know where he stood. So I pressured him… And he said no… and I…” Roman nodded again.

“About his name.”

“It was stupid”

“No it wasn't, I asked him too, once.”

“Did he…?”

“Pfft no, of course he didn't….” the prince's voice was low. “He said it wasn't about trust.” Virgil flinched, but Roman put a hand on his. “He tried to explain but I didn't really get it.”

Virgil looked down and started playing with Roman's fingers.

“At the end he was frustrated of course. Said something about Logan being the only brain cell in our group.” imitating Deceit which made Virgil snort. “And said that if he ever told someone he would tell Thomas first… and then you.”

Virgil's eyes widened.

“He… said that?”

“Yup.” Virgil smirked

“And then you?” teased, but received a grumble as response.

“You would think that, that's the obvious course of action!”

“But…?”

“He said he would tell Remus first! Remus!”

“Pffft” They laughed together for a few minutes, holding hands. Virgil noticed that the others hand was scarily cold. He glanced back at the yellow frame.

“It's just… I-” a soft growl came from the back of Virgil's throat, as he tried to find the words. “I tried, you know? To get rid if the good memories I had with them… I threw off some… but, there are ones I just… I'm not able to let go.”

“Hey” he felt Roman strengthen his hold in his hand. “He was your friend for a long time, during bad times even! Its ok to miss it… to miss him.”

Virgil sighed thoughtful, but then instantly smirked giving Roman a look.

“So, about you having your way with Deceit…?” he said, making Roman blush, sputtering

“I'm not talking with you about THAT.”

i wasn't able to watch it live and got distracted on friday night when i tried catching up after the fact so i just compiled all my thoughts into one list rather than a bunch of live blogging posts.. enjoy!

Wedding Photos (TF Series, Kaitlyn x MC)

So, lovelies, I start the Choices March Challenge (hosted by the one and only @meeraaverywalker ❤️) with a Kaitlyn x MC fanfic requested by @marmolady : hope you won’t be disappointed, darling!

I’m not sure I’m good at writing weddings so I tried to convey the atmosphere of that very special day through “photographs” and cameos of the TF series characters (which I kinda miss!).

So years later their graduation, Hayley (MC) and Kaitlyn reminisce their wedding day...in the company of a little new “companion”!

“Mommy what this?”

Lily asked out of the blue. The cute little Chinese girl Hayley and Kaitlyn adopted a couple of years ago was sitting on the couch beside one of her moms. She kept playing with Hayley’ s hair while the writer was reading the draft of a new project. The little girl eyes were caught by a photo album opened on the small table nearby so she reached for it with her tiny hands.

“Hmm?” Hayley said absentmindedly before noticing what Lily was up to. She immediately dropped her draft and helped the little one with the album.

“Hold on, love, let me help you with this! It’s heavy, huh?”

“Yep heavy!” Lily giggled as Hayley adjusted the album on her lap and put an arm around her little shoulders.

“Do you know what’s this, Lily? How is it called?”

“Abum!” the little girl cheered.

“It’s an album, yeah! And who are those girls?” Hayley asked pointing to a photo of her and Kaitlyn posing for the camera in their wedding dresses and barely containing their happiness.

Lily furrowed her brows as she concentrated to find the answer. The look on her face was so adorable that her mom felt the urge to plant a tender kiss on her cheek.

“Mommies! They’re mommies??” the little girl gaped in awe when the realization struck and a huge smile formed on her lips.

“That’s right, love!” Hayley confirmed in the softest tone.

At that very moment, Kaitlyn made her way into the living room.

“Straight from the kitchen a yummy bowl of perfectly sliced fresh fruit for baobei!” she announced triumphantly, taking a seat on the couch too.

Lily cheered and started bumping up and down.

“I bet she’s waiting for your fruit song, Kait” Hayley giggled.

“No fruit song now, Lily hungry!”

And she almost pounced over Kaitlyn to grab a strawberry.

“Hey, hold your horses, cowboy” Kaitlyn laughed “See? Momma got a spoon...” she added feeding Lily.

That’s when she noticed the album on Hayley’s lap.

“Oh sorry I forgot about it, I was just having a look and-”

“Aww did you miss me that much when I was at the Montreal Book Fair last week?”

Kaitlyn smiled apologetically.

“I always miss you when you’re not around, Hayley”.

She tried to lean closer to her wife but Lilly shrieked excitedly pointing to the album.

“Nana Maueen!”

The photo she was looking at portrayed Maureen smiling and lifting a rainbow cocktail to the camera.

“Indeed she is, baobei!” Hayley chuckled “If I remember well she even had a couple of those! And where are the other-”

“Papa Steph!” Lily pointed to a shot of Hayley’s dad wiping away a tear. “But...papa sad? Why?”

“Oh no, he wasn’t sad, sweetie!” Kaitlyn corrected her “Sometimes you can cry because you’re so happy too. Like...like when someone tickles you or when momma is back and you hug her tight because you missed her so much!”

Lily nodded and turned back to the album, chewing one of her beloved strawberries. Kaitlyn turned to Hayley:

“Talking of tears, it’s so weird that we haven’t one with my dad crying! He cried so much that day”

“Oh and I remember we shedded our fair amount of happy tears too! My voice kept cracking as I pronounced my vow”

“Awww you were so freaking cute, you made me cry too! A match made in Heaven!”

“Nana Grace and Papa Peter” Lily interrupted them when she spotted a picture of them posing with a younger Kaitlyn.

“They coming? Tomorrow?” she added expectantly.

“Next week, baby, they’re coming next week!” Hayley answered, stroking her daughter’s back and letting her bright eyes drift to the album once more.

As Kaitlyn and Lily leafed through its pages, all the memories of that day in Northbridge, almost a year after their graduation, came back to her: the butterflies in her stomach when her mom woke her up that morning, the soft and proud look her father gave her as he offered her his arm, the big hug Grace pulled her in as she spotted her...and the joy and the love she felt bursting inside her chest as she stood beside Kaitlyn. She absentmindedly stroke her wedding ring with her thumb as she reminisced the moment when she finally kissed her wife. From that day on Hayley took the habit to leave notes to Kaitlyn with the sappy rhyme “To my wife, the love of my life”.

When she snapped out of her own train of thoughts, she looked at Kaitlyn and Lily giggling over a funny shot. It was a picture of Rico (who was now a high school honor student) smearing cake all over his face making Gabriela and Zig lose it.

“Hey Hayley, we should show this to Rico! I bet he doesn’t remember it” Kaitlyn commented skimming through the pics.

Hayley smiled at the thought: Rico was basically a nephew to her and he made her promise to help him write his valedictorian speech if he managed to get that far. Gabriela soon became one of the greatest supporters of Hayley and even a co-worker when James convinced them both to help him write the script for a documentary on the life and work of Enrique Vasquez.

Gabriela was also the one who got Hayley’s bouquet: there was a shot of her bowing to the crowd holding it firmly in her hand. They paired that photo with one of the unsinkable Becca Davenport gaping at Kaitlyn’s one landing in her arms.

Hayley smiled fondly at the other pics Lily was pointing with her tiny finger: a stolen shot of James and Reyna slow dancing, Rachel trying to teach some dance moves to Grace and Maureen, Zack holding a panel “From Hayley’s wingman to Hayley’s best man’” beside an oblivious bride looking the other way, Abbie posing with their kitten Cinnamon, Madison kissing Becca on the cheek, Darren and Amara smiling at her camera, Annisa straightening Chris’ bowtie and...Peter and Stephen improvising a duet on the stage.

Oh that moment! She still remembered when Kaitlyn ran to her and pointed her finger towards the stage.

“Oh my god, Hayley look!”

Their dads stood there: Stephen was adjusting an acoustic guitar over his shoulder as Peter checked the mic.

“Kaitlyn, I’m sure you play this better than me” Hayley’s dad joked addressing the audience “But how do they say? It’s the thought that counts?”

The crowd laughed and Peter spoke:

“I really hope so, Stephen! It’s been a while since my last public performance...basically a life ago! But you know, this fine man and I were talking earlier and we had this idea of singing for you”

A loud “awwww” raised from the audience and the newlyweds held each other tighter.

“It’s a special day for you and...for us as well! So Kaitlyn, Hayley” he turned to Stephen and they said at unison “our amazing girls, this is for you!”

Stephen took a step back and stroke the guitar.

“We...we truly hope that we were good dads for you” Peter said into the mic, his voice flicking “and that you will always remember what we tried to teach you. Especially that in the end, all that matters, all you need...is love”

And he started singing the Beatles' song as Kaitlyn buried her face in the crook’s of Hayley's neck.

“Hey love, do you that papa Peter sang a song to us that day?” Hayley said, gently stroking Lily’s head.

The little girl turned to her then to Kaitlyn and cheered.

“Papa sang? I want Papa sing again!”

“We can do even better, baobei: why not a papa and momma Kaitlyn duet?” Hayley suggested, throwing a conspirational look at her wife as Lily shrieked!

“Papa and momma duet!! Momma pleeeasee?” she begged, hugging her mom.

Kaitlyn smiled adoringly down at her and put her arms around her tiny body.

“How could I say no to you, love?” she agreed, planting a kiss on the top of her little girl’s head.

As she cherished that embrace, her mind went back to the end of that day: when the wedding party was winding down, her father approached her on the balcony over the bay. He put wrapped an arm around her shoulders and they both looked at the venue.

After a while, her inhaled and said:

“Well this was not what I planned when I fantasized about my baobei’s wedding”

Kaitlyn turned her head to him.

“Dad...”

Peter looked down at her, his face brightened by a big smile.

“And I’m glad of it because this was a thousand times better”

He kissed her forehead and hold her tight.

“Just promise your ol’ man that you and Hayley will visit us every now and then”.
