Okay, so jumping here. I've been thinking and imo the 'Lilith' is Eve in disguise and Rosie is Lilith theory still holds true. This is brought to you by me going "We know Viv is a shitty writer, so from the writing already available, where would she lead the plot NOW?" and by my tinfoil hat.

We know Lilith is somewhere in Heaven (maybe even in Eden itself). Unless she pulls the weirdest explanation out of her hat for why she took a small vacay for 7 YEARS abandoning her daughter (with whom we know she had a good relationship with, IF that part of the pilot is still true. She never stopped to explain what parts of the pilot are still true, ffs.), Lilith would never. I don't even think she:

1) Would be allowed in Heaven, even by making a deal with Adam.

2) Adam's pride is too big for him to simply accept such a deal and Lilith's pride would be equally big imo. This interaction would never work.

So that has to be Eve. And Adam *has* to know that that's Eve. Or he doesn't, idc. Point is, it's far more likely by normal logic for that to be Eve. By Viv logic...? Not so much.

Which brings me to my second point! Rosie and her character. I did kind of feel the Mary Poppins vibes a bit, ngl. Horrible redesign, but oh well... The way she reacted to Charlie, her going "yeah, singing totes works here, in the *cannibal* colony!" and her giving that love advice + "we all did things we aren't proud of" + the fact that she's a "hellborn"? She has to be Lilith, sorry. Also also I feel like cannibalism isn't even such a big deal??? In the show I mean. It's literally so cartoonish it simply becomes a hellish quirk for some inhabitants. Sure Alastor, you're a cannibal, boo-hoo. I don't feel threatened by any of them, is what I mean. And even irl, I feel like yeah, it's gross and most likely getting yourself sick, but what makes cannibalism truly bad is the act of *killing* that person, ye know? In Viv's Hell that can't even happen, they'll just respawn, no problem.

And my final reason issss: Viv just ran so fast past 4 seasons worth of plot that imo she backed herself info a corner. The only things keeping the plot going are...Alastor's deal and who he made it with. It's probably Roo or Eve (or Lilith if Rosie is just Rosie), but I have a feeling like it can't be so simple with her, she has to pull a super complicated sayan explanation to make it seem like she just had us all guessing the wrong things, she's suuuuch a literary genius. And she loves musicals a bit too much (Adam is literally just Beetlejuice minus everything interesting about him), so pulling a Sweeney Todd sounds very in-character for her.

Now, speaking of Alastor....I haaaate how she destroyed his character with all the swearing and the petty edgelord-ness. She's not smart enough to write a smart chaotic presence/maybe potential villain. There, I said it. She should open a psychology book or some shit (she should've hired psychologists to coach her about writing about topics such as SA, addiction, sadistic/criminal personalities and so on, but we know she never put such thought into her work). Or at least a sensibility reader for her plot, smh. The overall tone of the show is jumping around faster than a bunny on electrolytes.

And as always, Alastor and Rosie have more chemistry than Charlie and Vaggie literally the "main" couple. They seem like a 30s married couple, tbh.

Also also super confused about Alastor's microphone and how she can hand it over to Charlie??? Why would he do that??? Are we supposed to understand he now cares about her? Handling his (presumably from the Adam fight) source of power to her just like that?? TWICE?!?

I understand his final lyrics are supposed to be "holy shit, I almost died for these people, what is wrong with me???" in a nutshell (+ that part about the contract), but we were never SHOWN how he became more attached to them??? We just have to believe him based on the talks with Rosie and Niffty respectively. What a joke. (Niffty got partially restored in my brain, at least).

What's It Like Dating Ghiaccio

Soft!Ghiaccio x Black!female reader

Warning(s): None? Tbh, it's just all silly fluff (maybe a bit of lewd here and there but not explicit)

Since part 5 is based in Italy, expect some Italian imagery + language lol

— Coming across Ghiaccio was pretty funny. Your father owns a cannabis shop which you and your siblings help out. Usually, you guys are never allowed in once sun goes down, but that didn't stop you from coming down to find your father.

— You went down to the basement only to see a group of men and your dad passing each other ziplock bags. "That's cocaine?" You ask, sucking on the lollipop you had as their attention went to you. Your father was stunned and quickly told you to leave. "Y/N!! What did I tell you to not come in here past -" "Father, I'm 24 years old, relax. I'm here to ask if you want pizza since we're ordering."

— Embarrassed he was indeed. You couldn't help but laugh. "Now get OUT!!" "Alright alright, no need to toot your horn." You say, swaying away in your pajamas (I found this cute) going upstairs. Little did you know that a blue haired guy was checking you out, catching the attention of his purple haired teammate. "Checking out the guy who's cooking us drugs daughter seems rather unlike you, Ghiaccio~" He seemed as if he was about to explode, he was fumbling on his words and couldn't say anything other than "Shut UP!!"

Soft!Ghiaccio can't get enough of you. He absolutely adores you. You turned him into a man he thought he'd never be. You did something to him. At one point, he thought you were some sort of stand user using your ability.

Soft!Ghiaccio lowkey loves when you put him in his place. He still has his outbursts and fits around other people, but when he acts that way around you, you quickly shut him up with a smack before pulling him into a hug. You're one person in his life that can pull himself together and talk him through those outbursts, actually listening to him. He can't help but melt.

Soft!Ghiaccio buys you whatever you want. I mean, he's in the mafia after all. You have to tell him from time to time again not to run his bank account to the dirt, but he insists. I mean, he's gifting you stuff like this, that, and the third. Sometimes, it's hard to say no.

Soft!Ghiaccio knows you two have to keep it on the DL. For sure, if your dad finds out he would be livid, if the team finds out, it'll stress him to the bone. If they see him in this submissive state around you, his image would be ruined and KNOWS they would make fun of him forever. But the thrill of getting caught can't help but make him more excited and happy to be in a relationship with you.

Soft!Ghiaccio loves cooking with you. Spending time at your small apartment with soft jazz music playing in the background while you two bond is heaven to him. Making Gnocchi, Ravioli, or Minestrone, it's honestly a better date than he could ever ask for. Especially when he gets time away from his group. Expect him to bring this along once you gave him the heads up.

Soft!Ghiaccio has a hard time showing affection or being romantic in general. You two have completely different lifestyles. He enjoys reciting love poems with you. You can see he's trying his best, which you give him a kiss for his effort. Expect him not to let you go for an hour.

— Translation: You hold me, and I will transform into wonder, in your hands, in the heat, that heat that makes the wheat grow at night. Brings the loved body as a secret life - preserved - under the thick ice of memory. You are dark like a nutshell in the fist crack between worlds. There is silence between you and me. There is pearl. Soft!Ghiaccio after sexy time is gonna treat you like a queen. Do you need a massage? The man doesn't mind putting his hands to the test and gripping them thighs, ahahaha. Are you hungry? Don't worry, will prepare a whole meal for you despite having snacks in your drawer. A bath, even? Ghiaccio will make sure to get it ready, quick and span.

Soft!Ghiaccio would crash at your place. Always. Expect him to appear with or without notice. Cuddles. Snuggles. Nibbling on your earlobe. Feeling your soft skin against his rough hands, caressing your cheek, oh my goodness, he feels as if he could never separate himself from you (especially if you have this on) like a cat following its owner around. Spreading himself all over you.

Soft!Ghiaccio can't wait to spend the rest of his life with you. He knows that any day his life would be taken considering the career path he'd choose, Ghiaccio wants to start a family with you. Heavy and Medic Switch

Basically, how I view Heavy and Medic’s intimate relationship in a nutshell.

This was sort of based on a post that I heavenly agreed on but I also wanted to put my two cents in here. This is gonna be a long post about my journey with this couple.

Let me explain:

There has been a silly little debate about what activities Heavy and Medic do behind closed doors, especially their roles/positions.

On one hand, there’s Team Heavy: he’s big, strong, and intimidating. He can rock your world (as well as your bed). On the other hand, there’s Team Medic: he’s professional, insane, and sadistic. He can take your breath away (as well as your virginity).

Team Heavy has been there since the very beginning since he’s viewed and portrayed as the more “masculine” and “dominating” man. He may know a thing or two about sex (or not since Heavy spent most of his life in the Gulag, idk).

Throughout the years, Team Medic has been sprinkled in from time to time since he may have more experience in this field (or not since he may be focused on his experiments, idk). He’s got a few tricks up his sleeves and may be skilled with techniques.

Anyways, I’ve seen and heard from both sides, so I’ll tell you a thing or two from my experience.

When I first got into TF2 and was interested in HeavyMedic, I assumed that Heavy was like the oldest merc just because of his voice, height, and strength. (I’m stupid to think that’s what it means to be old and how they should be.) I was then wrong to find out that it may be either Spy or Medic (idk which tho). But I thought that it was a pretty interesting dynamic to have a serious, tall younger man and a crazy, shorter older man in a relationship and I think that’s pretty cute.

Now when it came to same-sex relationships in smut art or fanfics, most people prefer the older masculine man to top since it’s more hotter, I guess. Back then, I enjoyed it but whenever I see or read a fanfic where it’s the opposite, I love it even more and I wasn’t sure why. Is it because the dominant one gets a taste of his own medicine or is it because I enjoy the reactions he gives or even both? I thought it was because the younger one finally gets to have a go at it. And ever since then, I clinged on to it and preferred it even more than the norm or majority.

And like I said, when I got into HeavyMedic, I was Team Medic, because I thought that Heavy is older and I wanted Medic to top (until I realized I was stupid). Ok, Heavy is younger and topping Medic so that means I enjoy it, right? Well... yes and no. Yes, because it was interesting to read and I enjoyed reading it, and no, because... well... I hate to say this but...

It just gets repetitive.

I then ask myself, “What’s wrong? Why don’t I enjoy it as much as I used to anymore?” Is it because Heavy is bigger? Stronger? More masculine? Just what is it? Or is it because Medic is my main and my favorite character (Heavy’s my second favorite character, btw so aww) and I want him to have a piece of Heavy’s cake for once? Or maybe I’m just biased, I guess, idk. That could be the case until I read some fanfics that contains Medic and another person (let’s say Engie since I like the pairing tho not as much as HeavyMedic) and I noticed something different. Sometimes Medic tops and sometimes he bottoms (tho it depends on the person he’s paired with so results may vary). Now tbh, I never read a fanfic where someone else is paired with Heavy since I didn’t know who else was perfect for him so please prove me wrong when I say this but...

What are the chances/percentages that Heavy bottoms?

Most of the time, it’s pretty rare and look, I get it, I completely understand. He’s an impressive specimen. Who wouldn’t want Heavy to fuck them? Hell, I would too, tbh. But see that’s the thing. We all want Heavy to do something for us but we never considered doing something for him.

I read some Bottom Heavy fanfics where Heavy even expresses this issue and I sympathized with him for it. So whenever Medic (in this case) is there for him and does the deed, it leaves me in a good mood. And because of that, I was Team Medic (also like I said before, I just want to see Heavy’s reactions and eat it up as much as possible and, well, Medic is hot when he’s dominating him). Also, “Heavy and Medic Get It On” is an old-time classic and I love it.

Also, just because Medic is shorter or less muscular, that doesn’t mean that he should be portrayed as the more weaker or submissive one. The same goes for Heavy, just because Heavy is taller and more muscular, that doesn’t mean that he should be portrayed as the more stronger or dominant one. Let them both have a fair share of fun.

I then realized that a majority of my favorite HeavyMedic smut fics were Bottom Heavy based and again I ask myself, “Why do I enjoy it more than the majority of fanfics? Just what is it?” Until I realized something, I put all the pieces together. “Dominant one bottoming” “Majority” “Repetitive” “Chance/Percentages of bottoming” I soon came to this conclusion.

The reason I love Bottom Heavy so much is because it stands out more than other smut fanfics.

It just made so much sense to me now. And not just Heavy but other fanfics where the top bottoms. It was a breath of fresh air for me. And I don’t want to diss top Heavy but as I said before, it just gets repetitive to the point where that’s the norm and it gets a little boring. When I read it, I know what’s coming up so I know what to expect from it. So when I read one where Heavy bottoms all of a sudden, it just catches me off guard, leaving me surprised and yet impressed by it. And it leaves me wanting more.

And like I said before, I like Top Medic since it’s nice for a change and while there have been Top Medic fics sprinkled throughout the years I noticed that it’s slowly increasing in popularity and I’m happy that other people seem to like it as well.

However, just because I would love to see an increase of Top Medic fics, that doesn’t mean that I want Top Heavy to stop, slow, or die out. I’m not saying I hate it, don’t get it the wrong way or anything. I still love Top Heavy and I love how they interact especially their reactions (mostly Medic’s). I just want Medic to get a piece of that action, y’know? He may be old but that doesn’t mean he has no spark of energy in him anymore. He could become a beast if he wanted to. Let the old man have a go at it.

Also, because it’s just a silly little debate, I don’t want people to fight over who tops and who bottoms. That’s the last thing I want to cause. Besides, there are people who don’t like reading smut fics with them in it and that’s also fine. Not everything needs to be related to sex in a relationship especially theirs. It’s called having a normal life and enjoying it. I love reading fluff fics where there’s a strangers-to-friends, slow burn, friends-to-lovers, confession, dating, one bed/ sharing a bed, acting like a couple, being a couple, marriage proposal, wedding, couple life with or without a kid, and sadly even death/afterlife whether it takes place during or after the Gravel Wars. And of course, I LOVE reading stories where Heavy and Medic are just chatting and laughing in the infirmary during surgery (with Archimedes there, of course). This post is just focusing on when they’re in the bedroom. We are all different people with different headcanons. You got yours, I got mines. I don’t have to agree with yours and you don’t have to agree with mines. Alright? But I found out a little solution that may or may not solve this little problem and it’s much rarer than Top Medic/Bottom Heavy (just know that this isn’t the ultimate solution, but rather a small suggestion).

Switch/Versatile

What is this and what does this mean? Please correct me if I’m wrong or make a mistake. These two words may mean the same thing but just like how top/bottom and dominant/submissive compare, it’s different. Switch means you can either be dominant or submissive depending on the mood and versatile means you like to top and bottom. Most of the time when I forget, I just simplify both to switch to make it easy to understand.

I’ve read at least 3 smut fanfics where Heavy and Medic tend to switch roles and positions in the same chapter or story and tbh, I really liked them. Not as much as Top Medic but I really enjoyed reading them and just like Bottom Heavy it was a breath of fresh air, became some of my favorite HeavyMedic smut fics, and I would love to see an increase of it too.

Let’s wrap things up now.

At the end of the day, if you were to ask me which team I’d prefer, I’d still say Team Medic, BUT I’m starting to lean more towards HeavyMedic switches. This is a copy-paste to when I replied to a random HeavyMedic post, but here’s why I love it.

“I see Heavy and Medic as good 'ol switches since they see each other as equal whether on or off the battlefield. HeavyMedic switches are also very rare in smut fics. In the beginning, Heavy says, "Get behind me, Doktor!" and ever since MvM, Medic also says, "Get behind me!" They fight together, help each other, heal each other, and make each other laugh so technically they should also please each other in bed.”

Also, it’s fun to read about what kind of whacky adventures they do together. They are both different beings who do different jobs and hobbies. One’s a heavy-lifter and one’s a doctor. Think of the many kinds of possibilities they could do to each other depending on the variety of settings to have full-on make-out sessions. It’s fun to get creative.

Technically if you really want to think about it, which team am I in?

Well, it’s a lovely, beautiful, sweet, short, simple answer that really means a lot to me that really brings it all together in the end.

My ramblings on RE: Death Island

Y'all RE: Death Island opened in PH cinemas today and here are my thoughts on some of the scenes. Leaks have been going around on TW since this morning, so I'm dividing my ramblings into four sections.

WARNING: HEAVY SPOILERS AHEAD

Can confirm:

-Definitely Jill's time to shine. Everyone was like..."If there's Jill, there's hope..."

-She even has a big ass plasma rifle scene (probably a tribute to re3r)

-Movie more or less confirms that Jill has met Leon and Claire before. Their first scenes with Jill were like "hey, how's it going?" situations.

-Chris and Claire sibling interactions! We haven't been blessed with those since Code Veronica, nice.

Want to clear out:

-Pertaining to an early leak which caused quite a ruckus on TW: Maria was climbing over Leon like a koala to a tree during their fight scenes, but never once did he flirt with her or anyone else for that matter. He even called Maria "Arias' bitch" who could finally be with her Dad again after she died by Leon's hands. Kinda brutal coming from Leon if you ask me.

-This Leon came in with a luggage-ful of cringey but kinda funny one-liners. He reminds me of Damnation!Leon and I didn't sense any undertones of depression in him! Though he still hates his job (he refers to it as just a "living"), Leon seems to be in a much better place this time around. This scene literally happened:

Want to add:

-Movie was about how people respond to trauma differently. Dylan practically experienced the same sh*t as the main cast in RC, but he had chosen to side with the villains.

-Really nice to see this new model of Leon in action, doing re4r-esque stunts. That was kinda missing in ID, tbh. Also Leon and bikes look hot together, but can never be good news.

-Other character relationships in a nutshell, for those who are interested.

Jill and Leon -> This was definitely their buddy cop movie. I know people like to bully Leon for being "dumb" or for whatever reason, but Jill clearly respects his skills the same way Leon respects hers.

Jill and Chris -> Movie makes it clear that Chris absolutely cares about Jill. You can interpret it as both platonic and romantic (not very much so on the latter, though). I love Chris' "Welcome back!" line to Jill in the end and their little fist bump.

Chris and Leon -> I'd say they're like old co-workers who definitely know how to defeat BOWs. That's about it. They are mostly in action scenes together, with very little dialogue.

Rebecca and Claire -> Had great moments of nerdiness together (I mean that in an affectionate way), but very few action scenes compared to the other 3 mains.

Can't say much about the other character combos, tbh. There was no mention of the ID conflict bet Leon and Claire. They have very little interactions in the film, probably less than a min. of dialogue? Just Leon saying Claire's name when they saw each other for the first time in the film (not even sure if that was Chris or him even), and then a scene where he ordered her and Rebecca to go mess around with the computers (ala ID).

-That character with a special mention in the early leaks -> It was Chris talking about Piers from re6. Unfortunately, there were no surprise appearances from other fan-fave characters.

-The ending was your classic "heroes staring into the sunset after one hella fight" cliche, but t'was nice nonetheless haha

Overall:

It's everything you expect from a Resident Evil movie. Campy and with a weak plot, but gets redeemed by featuring a sh*t ton of welcome fan service (both good and bad). I like it better than Vendetta.

Supposedly a 10/10, but that licker scene was a disservice to Jill, so 9/10.

is it just me or does the popular outlook of “proverbs 31 woman” seem kinda like it’s idolatry and gets very cultish at times? In a nutshell I think that the value of service, taking care of your home, and grace are innately good.

But every time I come across these so called traditional Christian accounts I always see the same unbiblical rhetoric being pushed that women/moms working is bad, single women are selfish cat ladies, and that husbands ALSO helping their wife’s with housework and childcare is somehow *checks notes* emasculating and not what God wants?? 🤥

Tbh it’s my fault for lurking on these awful pages but I upsetting when these “tradmen-women” spread legalistic things that get thousands of likes ..

I didn’t grow up with strict religion rules, my parents were very lukewarm Christian’s lol and I was atheist-agnostic to new age in my teen years before I started to being believing and having a relationship with God later on. But these insta posts and reels make me understand why so many people are turned off from connecting with God again after growing up fundie or just being surrounded by that !

I’m so thankful that I didn’t grow up under such control when it comes to Christ (even if I did have to go through my edgy atheist phase) ironically, I feel more free now compared to my past experience 👀

traffic smp marriage thoughts

Not including Cledubs bc while I enjoy their dynamic very much I haven’t finished Third Life from either of their POVs yet rip

I honestly don’t see Redwood as heavily romantic or even really married tbh. When I think of the characters I see it as a joke c!Martyn made that they ran with (kinda like it is on a meta level) that comes from both preexisting care and causes them to become closer?

As someone who has made these kinds of jokes with many friends and committed to the bit for weeks/months it’s like. You guys aren’t actually dating or view each other as such. Maybe a small crush forms, maybe not but it doesn’t really matter. Despite the marriage being a joke you still find yourself committed to the role.

It’s the kind of bit that centers around an emotional investment neither party previously had but needs to play out, and it leads to a certain level of genuine emotional investment. Your perception of how a married couple would feel in a situation in part translates to how YOU feel in that situation. It’s a weird ambiguous limbo of a relationship to be in, and it’s exactly how Martyn and Mumbo feel to me.

Same actually with Scott and Jimmy but for them in my mind it got way less ambiguous and veered pretty heavily into genuine romance and devotion to one another. Sure the marriage was a fun joke and way to bond with this stranger you’d met in this scary new world, a way to subconsciously convince the both of you you are safe with one another. But somewhere along the way it stopped being a joke. You never talked about it, sometimes you still wonder if it’s a ‘real’ relationship even when you are confident in the other’s feelings towards you. Sure he calls you husband and says he loves you, but he did that before he meant it. You wonder if you one day escaped from this server if the marriage- or the bit- or whatever this is- would stop. You wonder if it matters when you know you aren’t making it out.

Bdubs and Etho in my eyes aren’t ever properly married or divorced or in any explicit relationship. It’s ambiguous and they joke about stuff like that alongside the other players because they are aware of that fact.

Bdubs and Impulse to me are like- fake-but-actually-real married. Bdubs declares their love that first day to appear strong and secure in front of the other players. It’s a tactical thing that they both make real. Sure we've declared ourselves madly in love and played along when others called us husbands, but I’m completely open to that being real and more than just an act for the benefit of others opinions of us!

In a way the “bit/lie influencing your genuine emotions” is just. Very heavy and declaring that your relationship is one way is enough to make it genuine. Honestly that whole concept is Bdubs in a nutshell

hi there! i've been doing okay and i hope you are as well! thank you for your request! i havent seen any byakuya content either so this was a surprising request! I hope i did him justice in these small hcs...

byakuya loves music- i think he’s the type to play old songs around the house or hum an old tune when he's doing something. So when the two of you are staying in, he’ll sometimes dance around the apartment with you.

the most patient man ever. He's a teacher with an eccentric son, so his tolerance level is insane. If you’re struggling with understanding something in terms of work or just everyday life, byakuya has no problem explaining it to you or even learning alongside you!

(he's really funny when explaining things too. if its a broad subject, he has no problem teaching it, but usually his explanations are really "in a nutshell" comedic kind of explanations)

his gifts are always meaningful and tailored to you in some way. Sometimes they could be silly (cue when byakuya got two loveboxes because he thought it was a fun way of communicating over long distance) but mostly they were really thought out.

date night once a week. Usually it's on a friday evening that the two of you go out, and byakuya is the type of guy to never want a repeat of a previous date (there are exceptions! But typically byakuya likes to do something different with you every week). He might find different restaurants for the two of you to dine in, buy tickets for all kinds of shows. Just like his physical gifts, his dates are well thought out as well.

continuation of date night! He likes to hold your hand or have you on his arm, especially in crowded places. He says its so you dont accidentally lose each other and he isnt lying when he says that, but he does find it romantic and heartwarming as well.

can sometimes get nervous before a major date, and he’ll be frantically getting ready while ranting to senku. Tying his tie, combing his hair, searching for his keys, he does all this while senku listens to him run around.

”i just want this to be SPECIAL you know? I want to make sure Y/N enjoys- goddamn it where are my keys!”

on the other hand, he can be smooth. really smooth. He’ll hum a little tune as he adjusts his outfit in the mirror, putting on the final touches of his well-put together appearance

really loves it when you bond with senku. Makes him a little teary-eyed. Two of the people he loves most coming together and enjoying each others’ presence? His heart soars when his son tells him about how he enjoys your company and finds value in your science input.

rolls his eyes over his dad's relationship (especially with how sappy he can get) but senku truly is happy for byakuya for finding someone he loves so much

he likes to indulge in the things you love. No matter how silly or even boring your hobbies may be, he wants to learn about them and try them out for himself

little bit of a romantic, so he’s the type to bring you flowers and chocolates on more formal dates. He plans out each bouquet, and like everything else he does, the effort shows.

overall just a super fun and thoughtful partner. He always shows up for you and constantly raises the bar <3

Tbh I think there is too much fuss on the idea of "original fairy tales" in the RWBY fandom... just as much as there is too much fuss on Disney fairy tales :''')

In short, I think RWBY makes use of fairy tales in their most iconic versions without letting the disney movies influence the writing too much. For example, of the 4 MCs only Weiss and Blake's story has been adapted successfully by Disney, and even in their case they make full use of other versions of their fairy tales. What I am trying to say is that RWBY is not trying to adapt a specific version of a fairy tale, but to use fairy tales as motifs and metaphors of their characters' arcs.

So, when it comes to Weiss I think they are clearly going with the Grimms' version of Snowhite. It is really no surprise as it is very famous and the one used in the Disney adaptation. Differently from the Disney fairy tale, though, they are going with the original 3 deaths of the fairy tale. Still, they are making use of some very clear Disney imagery, like the focus on the forest animals and on singing, which is a Disney invention.

When it comes to Jacques specifically, he is Weiss's biological father, but focus is put on how he married into the family:

Weiss: I have done nothing but fight to uphold the honor of my family name, a name that you married into!

Symbolically, he is not a real Schnee to the point he doesn't even share his semblance with the rest of the family. He has usurped the family name tricking Willow into marrying him and Nicholas into giving him the SDC. So, he fits the part of the "evil stepmom". All in all, though, there is not much difference between a stepmom and a mom in fairy tales. The idea of a stepmom is honestly used to mask the fact fairy tales are actually talking about mothers and fathers. In Snowhite, for example, you can see the Evil Queen as the mother and the good natured, but weak minded Hunter as the father. They are archetypical characters that call back to the parents. This is because Snowhite is ultimately a coming of age story. It is about a child growing up and realizing she can't be like her mom forever (so the mirror stops showing the Queen and starts showing Snowhite), which brings some struggle and the need to redefine her own identity (the 3 deaths and resurrections), so that she can become her own person (a Queen). This is also Weiss's story in a nutshell.

As far as our Cinderella is concerned, it is instead clear RWBY is making use of several archetypes and symbols common to many versions of the story. There is a Stepmom, two Stepsisters, a Prince, a Fairy Godmother and Slippers. These elements are present both in Perrault and the Grimms' versions of the tale.

In general, I am sorry, but I don't think Jaune and Cinder's relationship is meant to be seen as romantic. Jaune and Ruby are set up as the 2 people, who will eventually help Cinder out. However, Ruby is the one presented as the Prince (in a platonic sense):

Cinder and Ruby fight the night of the Dance, which is a call back to Cinder dancing with the Prince. This means Ruby is Cinder's Prince. She is the one who must save Cinder with her eyes and I wouldn't be susprised if this happens on the top of Beacon Tower. After all, Ruby and Cinder face each other twice in that setting. The first time, it is the night of the dance, the second the night of the Fall of Beacon. These 2 face offs represent 2 dances, so we still lack a third final one as per the Grimms' fairy tales... I would not be surprised if this happens in the finale.

Jaune is instead set up to have a role when it comes to helping Cinder become a true Maiden. Why? Because this is Pyrrha's legacy:

Pyrrha: Do you believe in destiny?

Jaune is meant to inherit Pyrrha's legacy and to succeed where she failed, which is to convey the meaning of being a true Maiden to Cinder. Very fitting for a character whose allusion is called the Maide of Orleans.

This reading also fit with RWBY playing with gender role. Ultimately, the young child is meant to be the Prince who saves Cinderella (again not in a romantic sense), while Jaune is meant to be the Maiden at Heart who inspires Cinder into becoming the true Maiden of Choice. If you want, you can headcanon Jaune may become a new version of the fairy that makes sure Cinderella can dance and become a Queen. Still, it is too soon to say.

Ya I have the feeling Tom’s “My MJ” and Z’s “happiest of birthdays” are the last posts we will get from them of each other unless Z feels like hyping Tom up in her stories when a magazine cover drops or he wins an award or hits a milestone etc and same with Tom for Z I think the birthday posts are too much pressure for them every year and there is really no need for them to do bday posts on social media when they can say it to each other in person and plus them doing birthday posts was really for us fans but I think their last public bday posts left it on a good note they claimed each other in them and everyone knows now so they don’t need to keep up with the pressure and expectations every year it suck’s for us but they gotta do what’s best for them

I honestly feel that's it in a nutshell tbh. I just think they want to have the FREEDOM of being and doing whatever they want w/out the pressure (even the good-hearted kind) from fans, or the media, etc. Like you said, bday posts every year were mainly for us as fans anyway, since we all know they can call each other up or roll over in the bed and say "Happy Birthday" lol. 😅

So yea, like you mentioned, they BOTH claimed each other as a couple on social media after they got "caught", and so now they really don't need to do the bday posts every year. I feel like even commenting on each other's posts or posting each other "just because" might also be something they choose not to do too much because it's like...okay...where does it end? When does it end? LOL. It's different when you are super famous and live your life in the public eye. EVERYTHING gets scrutinized or picked apart w/a microscope. They have always preferred to live privately in their relationship away from the public eye. Getting caught FORCED them out of their comfort zone bubble, so they're not going to be hiding anything anymore, but the whole social media thing??? They can choose not to. In fact, most of them have kind of moved on to posting mainly only about work, charity, or family if you notice. It's probably a smart idea tbh. A LOT of celebrities get in trouble when they post anything beyond that because people are so touchy and on edge these days. JMHO.

At the same time, Tomdaya might surprise US! I mean, these two have been surprising me left and RIGHT since July 2nd lol. 😅 So we never know!

I just think they don't like the pressure of EXPECTATIONS and entitlement from fans.

Yandere Feitan in a nutshell tbh: "i’ll ruin ur life but show u that i like you?? never."

I think this is why yandere Feitan is just... terrible all around. At least with Chrollo, you know that he wants you romantically, you can gauge that he wants a "relationship" with you, wants to act like you're a couple and all the indulgences that come with that, etc.

With Feitan it's so confusing. He can even got hostile if you act positively with him, depending on the scenario. You're walking on eggshells to an extreme degree.

Re: relationship post-story.

I don't think he'd be nicer in general. If anything he might be a little taken aback by his actions and if reader (for whatever reason) wanted to initiate affection again in a casual way, like smiling at him or sitting next to him on the sofa, he'd feel almost offended in a way. A sort of "how dare you assume he wants that vulnerability with you" type of situation.

At the same time, he would expect reader to know his mood and see when he does want affection versus when he'd rather be left alone. How is reader supposed to know? Well, who fucking knows, but they'd better find out.

I do think he'd start thinking about having reader sleep in his bed when he's home though. Like hmm... damn it did feel nice to hold them and kiss them and leave bruises all over from his mouth and his hands, which he got to see bloom deeper the next morning.

Pretty much. That’s MLTS in a nutshell tbh, and that was intentional. Paul and Pat never had a history of animosity and they had many years together to sort out any drama between them. Do they still have issues every once in a while? Of course! What couple doesn’t? But they are in another level Tom and Tord still have a long way to go to reach.

Forgive me if you’ve spoken about this before, or if my assumption is incorrect, but I think it would be interesting to hear your opinion on the interpretation of Jesse as a Christ-like figure considering from what I’ve gathered you’re a Christian? A lot of people who I see draw comparison between Jesse and Christ (including myself) are either not religious or have had a negative experience with religion so I think it would be interesting to hear from someone who has a different experience.

I think the main problem with that interpretation is that none of Jesse’s suffering is particularly redemptive or self-sacrificial, which would be the baseline requirement for him to be a Christ-figure.

Don’t get me wrong, a lot of bad things happen to him: but it’s never because he’s consciously choosing that suffering for the sake of another person. The one exception to this might be continuing to cook for Jack's gang to keep them from killing Brock, and even that is a coerced choice between two evils—and Brock’s mother would never have died, Brock would never be in the position of being threatened in the first place, if he was not a pawn in Jesse and Walt’s codependent self-perpetuating psycho-drama.

That’s what it all goes back to. Listening to Walt, being Walt’s partner in crime—gets Jesse beat up by criminals or used as emotional leverage against him. The overwhelming guilt Jesse feels all stems from things he did to help Walt, save him, in service of their mutual criminal partnership or out of wrath/hurt at what Walt has put him through.

It’s because of his cooperation with evil that Jesse (and his loved ones) suffer, and that makes him far more of an Adamic figure than a Christ figure.

For my money, the closest we ever get to a truly Christ-like act in the show would be Flynn throwing himself between his mother and father to protect her, knowing full well that Walt could easily overpower him and acting under the assumption that his father has just murdered another member of their family. Junior is as close to an innocent as Breaking Bad has—the only character more innocent than him is the baby—and if he had somehow ended up injured or dead by Walt’s hand because he was shielding Skyler, that would be truly laying down his life for another person. Respect for Flynn, you were more than breakfast memes.

I don’t necessarily know how useful it even is to think about this particular narrative in this way, tbh. Breaking Bad is not an allegorical or didactic show, nor is it particularly moralistic (though it is keenly interested in morality.) It can be read on a realist, psychological level, and through the lens of noir, crime and western genres. It’s definitely not consciously symbolic.

But, if you were going to make the case for a Biblical symbolic interpretation, the glaringly obvious one is Walter White as the Luciferian figure par excellence. Is there a fictional character who more perfectly exemplifies the sin of pride than Walt? A brilliant scientist (Lucifer was, after all, the Angel of Light—the greatest of all the angels) who makes a spectacular fall from grace and proceeds to drag many others down to his level.

So, if Mr. White is “the devil”, then that would make Jesse his Adam. Exiled from the garden of (comparative) innocence in the pilot because he agrees to the partnership between them (his ‘deal with the Devil’, so to speak) Jesse then spends the next sixty-some episodes making a lot of terrible choices, directly and indirectly leading to a lot of pain and suffering, because of that partnership. That’s the entirety of salvation history (as Christians understand it) in a nutshell. This is Jesse Pinkman’s equivalent of taking the apple of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil—his original sin.

Man is made in God’s image, and like Adam and all his sons, Jesse still has a conscience—the spark of divinity lives in him. He still wants to do the right thing, but his relationship with Walt constantly pulls him back into the world of crime and evil. By the end of the show he’s become a literal slave to sin—his ability to make the blue meth, the gift his devilish mentor gave him that helped Jesse attain honor, power and money in the drug trade, now keeps him literally shackled in a hole in the ground. It’s not exactly subtle, is it?

But he does break free in the end. Not from his literal slavery—Walt has to be the one to free him from that—but from evil.

Jesse’s refusal to end Walt’s life at his command is him simultaneously breaking free of Mr. White’s control over his actions and refusing to continue the cycle of violence his old teacher fostered and Jesse enabled at every turn.

He does it all on his own. He makes the choice. After a lot of suffering, so even if there’s not a salvific figure in this universe persay, there is purgation.

(Ironically, Walt shielding Jesse with his body and taking a literal bullet for him would be an almost textbook Christ-like sacrificial death....except Walt was the person who set off the gun in the first place. Also the idea of putting Walter White and Jesus in the same thought, let alone comparing them....repels me for what I hope are obvious reasons, lol.)

What I liked about El Camino was Jesse finally having serious moral growth and maturity (not shocking that Walt had to die for it to happen.) The scene where he calls his parents, absolves them of blame and takes responsibility for his own actions was such exponential growth for him—the boy becoming a man. And his ultimate fate is to spend the rest of his life in a kind of exile. All of this comes at such a high cost, but there is atonement. It does all mean something.
