Okay with permission obtained from @tomhoppusdelonge here is hands down my favorite piece of art I've posted to this blog so far! (and among my favorite pieces I've made in a hot minute)

so I was gonna do this in order of age, but then the tim/cass thing wasn't as funny, so I did it vaguely in order of when they joined the Batfam. except I moved Steph... I dunno. take it as it is, hopefully it's funny!

I considered doing the camp counselor energy one for Babs, but I'm trying not to reuse responses and I already used it in my Doctor Who post.

and yes I fully believe Alfred would be the one writing this poll and purposefully making it silly just to cause chaos. in tandem with my Doctor Who posts does this imply Sarah Jane Smith and Alfred are besties? yes, yes it does. am I mad at it? not at all, that shit is hilarious

disclaimer: I only really know the Batfam from posts and fanfics, so this may be ooc. I know that Dick is definitely a little shit, but I also feel like he gives the appearance of a laid back person and he definitely drinks respect women/enby juice, lol.

i wanna know random shit. so here goes.

How do you heat water?

For tea I usually use my electric kettle. My tap water gets pretty hot so if I want to cook something I'll usually just pour that into a pot without pre-heating it with the kettle like a lot of people do.

Do you have a pen cup? If yes/what is the most non-pen item in it?

I don't have a pen cup, I have a pen pot and the most non-pem item in there are a pair of scissors.

I mean just look at this handsome fellow!

Do you have a favorite utensil? Tell me about it.

My favorite utensil ... I have a few butter knives that are really old and the absolute best knives of this kind that I've ever owned! They're probably around 80-100 years old at this point and they are just perfect, they're flexibel enough to not kill your bread if the butter is a little too hard, you can get into the nooks and crannies of every jar, they are nicely balanced and an over all delight to use. Not to sound like an old-timer but they don't make knives like this anymore!

I wanna know about your socks. Do you not wear socks? Do you wear cool socks? Are they utilitarian?

I do wear socks, my feet get cold so easily! I own a shitload of them and a lot of them are sort of tennis socks (in various colors) but I also have hiking socks, socks with weird prints, skiing socks, cute short socks for the warmer months, wool socks for winter, my drawer is bursting and unless it's warm out and I have the opportunity to run around barefoot I'll usually be wearing socks.

What's the highest hotel/building floor you can take standing on a balcony?

If it feels safe, any height (my apartment is pretty high up and I have absolutely no problem looking down from my balcony) BUT IF IT DOESN'T then I'm a whimp when it comes to heights, actually very afraid of falling (so climbing is kind of difficult for me but we're getting there, exposure therapy!!!)

BEST OF 2023!!!

this year was actually alright for me so here's some stuff i liked !

movie-dicks the musical made me laugh more than any movie i saw this year and i watched it three times in one week, teenage mutant ninja turtles had the best soundtrack and reminded me of my favorite animated movie of all time rango, and saltburn was so so gorgeous to look and made me really horny

tv show- succession, yellowjackets, and i think you should leave season 3. all of which grabbed me with the same ferocity

book- embarrassingly the only book that released this year i read was Angron: The Red Angel, a 40k book. it was fine, but i also read china mievlle's kraken for the first time and just fell in love with his writing and worlds

album- unreal unearth by hozier has probably my favorite all time song of his, sorry it will come back your day is over....

food- for my birthday this year i got myself some jamon iberico and it lived up to the hype for sure!!! i also had raspberry wine and discovered i like some wine!

new thing- this tumblr!!!!!! i was active on here before but this year i really started treating it as a Thing. and it's been so fun!!! ive met some very cool people on here and it's done wonders for my self esteem, so thanks you to everyone who follows me on here or has interacted with my posts, you all have made this year really fun :)

misc- i just started listening to rude tales of magic this year and through it started listening to tim platts comedy and ooo boy were both of those immediate latch ons, they both fit my vibe for comedy so well
