this is not usually something that allegorical stories explore because it can be pretty horrifying if you execute it wrong, but i think more werewolves should have difficulty speaking when they're transformed, or be incapable of human speech. in particular i think this could be awesome for an autism allegory werewolf, where transforming is (among other things) like going nonverbal/nonspeaking and generally struggling to communicate. but it could probably be used for a lot of things just as well
