Goodbye, 2023.. Hello, 2024!🥂
Hello, beautiful people.💚 2023 is now coming to an end, and although there is so much I have to say about these past 12 months at a personal level, I’ll try to keep it brief (in roughly 800 words LMAO) and stick to our beautiful fandom world I love so dearly.
I am absolutely not new to reading fan fiction—to reading all these fucking amazing stories that keep my hyperfixations well-fed😅 As a matter of fact, for the majority of this year, that’s what my tumblr consisted of—purely reading😅
What I am new to, however, is actually contributing to this beautiful fandom. I’ve always loved writing, and I’ve written a few tiny stories for myself in the past. I just never would’ve thought—on one random day in September—that I would post them for the world, and I never would’ve thought that they were good enough to be loved by so many of you. It baffles me—still, after every new story I’ve put out, I still get surprised and feel a tremendous amount of gratitude for the love you guys give to me. I don’t know what I did to deserve it, but I’m learning to love myself more and more every single day, and in that, I’m learning to appreciate my abilities. To appreciate the skill that I’ve honed, and in doing so, I want to give back in the way that I can—through writing stories that put the biggest of smiles on our faces that our cheeks hurt, through writing stories that we can see a figment of ourselves in it, through writing stories that make us feel a plethora of emotions but ultimately make us feel loved.
I don’t mention this often, but I am physically disabled, and because of that, I have to physically rely on another person to help me with everything—showering, feeding me, using the restroom, etc. Ever since I could remember, I vowed that I would give back to everyone in the only way I can: through my verbal abilities (hence why my career goal is to become a clinical psychologist💚), and—naturally because of that—through my writing abilities. My only hope in this world is that I can provide others with the warm and welcome feeling that I’ve been surrounded by all my life, even if I can’t take any action to do so. I’ll always find a way.
But okay, I digress (this is me keeping it brief, I apologize). I also wanted to take a moment to specifically say thank you to those who read my work. I’ve only been posting and writing for you guys since late September—only a little over three months!—and I have nearly 800 of you constantly cheering me on and providing me with the sweetest of support I thought could never exist for someone like me. I seriously wouldn’t be here without you guys. You seriously have no clue what your words do to me; they are my driving force, the fuel that keeps me going, the hugs I need when a story gets a little too complicated for my easily-frustrated brain because I just want it to be perfect for you. Thank you. With my entire heart, my entire soul, my entire existence: thank you. I can’t wait to see where 2024 takes us. I love you all. So much.
And I want to give a special special thank you to a few people—whether we message each other, or we just constantly have given each other unconditional support, or simply I just admire and am inspired by you—who mean so much to me. Your support and guidance as I began my journey is irreplaceable. I’ve learned so much from each of you in our own unique way, and I’m inexplicably excited to enter 2024 with you guys by my side. I’m truly honored to be able to know you, even if it is solely online. @katiexpunk @janaispunk @toxicanonymity @bearsbeetsbeskar @farmerlarrry @joels-shitty-puns @tightjeansjavi @mandoisapunk — All my love to you beautiful people, and I can’t wait to continue being one of your loudest cheerleaders throughout 2024.
And to @javierpena-inatacvest… I don’t know what I was expecting out of making my presence more known on this lil platform, but I definitely wasn’t expecting to make a best friend out of this. And I definitely wasn’t expecting a lifelong best friend, at that. You don’t know this, but you entered my life at a time that I was struggling. There was something I was missing… something I was needing. Little did I know, that something was you, and I’m endlessly grateful. Your existence in my life is truly one that is irreplaceable. I don’t know what I did to be so lucky—but whatever God or all-knowing being did this, I’ll be giving them offerings now and until the day I die. Thank you for letting me in, and thank you for letting my crazy ass be a part of your journey. I love you, friend.🌚💚
Happy 2024, everyone!! This will be our year for prosperity in every aspect of  our lives. I just know it.
Endlessly yours, L. 💚

I know you haven't been following Zeb Wells run because you love yourself and you are a beautiful human being, but I know you saw that leak.
And sis, fuck it, just let Miles be Amazing Spider-Man. This whole Peter Parker thing? Tank that shit. Years ago, you suggested this and I, an avid Miles Morales fan, disagreed, but now...Norman Osborn is the good guy and genius now, Ned Leeds is happily married to the woman he abused with a kid, and apparently someone cloned Gwen Stacy to sleep with her best friend's father in a some twisted bed trick and I AM SO FUCKING DONE!
No, I am sick of the misogyny of these past three writers. I was sick when you had "Superior" Spock beat down Felicia Hardy and it being touted as "cool" and how awesome Otto was while he objectified and leered at Mary Jane in Peter's body or used Peter's memories with Mary Jane as his own porn take. I was sick of Cindy Moon being used as a glorified Axe Commercial power fantasy of Peter being oh so irresistible that she can't keep her hands off of him and some twisted Asian fetish! I am sick of a writer stating MJ has no real value as a love interest to Peter because she doesn't care about real things! I am sick of the background routine violence of different variances of sexual assault such as Michelle Rodriguez getting assaulted by Chameleon because she thought it was Peter, Anna Marie getting assaulted by SpOck because she thought it was Peter and after the fact still fancying the guy who tricked her, Betty Brant getting impregnated by the clone of her abusive husband because what is the point of being a woman in Spider-Man if you aren't sleeping with Peter and not married?
You kill Kamala Khan? Sure, it's to bring her back as a mutant but you do it in Peter's book? Yes, Kamala Khan, famously known as Spider-Man character, dies in a plotline that had nothing to do with her. Peter has no connection to her. And you fridged her? For Peter's angst?! While you have MJ and FUCKING Paul eloping in the background!? I am over this shit. Bring on Miles.
I was actually going to wait until "the most shocking issue ever" was released to catch up on Wells' run and then I saw the leaked spoilers and then Marvel confirmed the leaked spoilers and then there was no avoiding the leaked spoilers. And like to be completely fair I did not see this ending coming. I don't think even the most out there comic bookies had "Kamala Khan dies in a Spider-Man book" on the odds. It's just a completely ludicrous choice on every level, unless your only marketing strategy is to cause outrage.
It's sort of weird because up until this point I think my biggest complaint about this run wasn't unique to it specifically -- my complaints were things that the Spencer and Slott runs had also done, and to a lesser extent, mostly because of time restraints, the various short-lived Spider-Man tie-ins and events. (Beyond was a mess, and while Wells was leading it, there's multiple people to blame there.) It's all well and good that people are saying it took too long to reveal the bad guy of this storyline, because it did, but compared to the seventy issues it took them to reveal Kindred's identity, this has been fast-paced for modern Peter Spider-Man comics (which is a problem in and of itself). Like if I had to pick one Wells-specific complaint before this point, I'd have to say that the way he withholds information doesn't actually serve his storytelling -- it makes readers frustrated, not intrigued, to be confronted by things like Paul and MJ's mystery kids. It's similar to how there was obviously something wrong with Ben Reilly in Beyond, but the story took far too long to reveal what it was. I think the flash forward in Amazing Spider-Man and questions like "what did Peter do" hurt it far more than it helped to build up any sort of reader curiosity. It doesn't help that those storylines ultimately don't lead anywhere, it's just red herrings and desperate scrambling all the way down, but this time with Wells bringing up a storyline I best remember as "pretty boring" that he wrote in 2008. I genuinely don't believe anyone out there was asking for a The Last Nameless Day sequel. (Does anyone even remember The Last Nameless Day.)
And the "shocking ending" they've been teasing this entire time is killing Kamala Khan in a totally unrelated superhero's book with no catharsis and no meaning for the actual character, and framing Peter front and center on the cover of her announced memorial issue. It's deeply tasteless, stupid, and offensive, even more so because we know she'll almost definitely be brought back in a few months in time for the release of The Marvels movie. I had been kind of side-eyeing this run having Kamala intern for Norman Osborn, because she's a top ten character I want Norman to stay away from, and that they did that with the intent most likely of killing her off all along is just so tasteless. And you're right, the misogyny in the recent years has gotten really out of control, even as they try to spackle over it with girl powers moments you can crop down to a single panel, recirculate around social media, and feel good about devoid of context. There's been a lot of fridgings (Mattie Franklin, Ashley Kafka, Marla Jameson) but they were all of Spider-Man characters. If Marvel has a headlinining, incredibly popular, marginalized teen girl character, and they're going to kill her off for shock value or to reset her powers in keeping with the movies or whatever, they should at least have the grace to do it in her own book and not in a highly criticized Spider-Man run. It's clear these problems are going way higher on the Marvel ladder.
I would rather they kill Peter 100%! And this has nothing to do with the "twist ending" because it definitely wouldn't fix that, but I really do think at this point that the only way to fix a lot of the damage that's been done to Peter Spider-Man on such a deep level is to kill him for a few years. Like at least five. It'll give some purpose to the endless amounts of spinoff books (who was asking for a Red Goblin Normie Osborn spinoff) and provide enough time for things to settle enough for a soft reset.

I gotta ask. Codebreakers for the ship asks.
Also do you have a fav Etoiles ship?
Tumblr media
very fun question…
again im answering through my own personal lens of aroace queerness, which i find sooo applicable to codebreakers…. they’re besties and brothers in arms yknow, incredibly devoted to one another, and that’s the relationship status . i don’t particularly Ship them simply because i really just like how they are in canon already without adding too much to it (though i am not immune to codebreakers cuddles and kisses) . they’re each other’s ultimate hypemen and favourite guy ever with a hint of flirting and im just very Yeah :) whenever i think about them . comfort dynamic in a way tbh . just nothing really to add to what’s already very good !! probably the guys I read the most fic about in any case (though they’re also the most popular relationship under the étoiles tag so that helps LOL)
re fave étoiles ship: oof, not entirely sure? at my core im not the biggest shipping guy so I don’t have incredibly strong opinions lol . though I’d probably have to go for insuline & nicotine for favourite qétoiles relationship for sure, big big fan of whatever they have going on (though again not necessarily in a romantic way, the ambiguity is the appeal to me). but otherwise im a fan of any qetoiles dynamic that has that same ambiguous flair to it . really not a fan of ships that don’t take his canon disinterest in (traditional) romance/acts of (traditional) romance into account though, takes all the fun and nuance out of it imo

I would love headcanons of yandere Mukuro with a darling that knows of Junko's true intentions and wants to kill Junko to prevent the Tragedy.
Oo! I love that idea! Since i need to kickstart my motivation to write this ask seems like a great way to start!
Yup yup! I’m back. Please be patient with me as I’m currently still tired and having some writers block<3
Tumblr media
Mukuro Ikusaba with a darling who wants to kill Junko
Pairing: Mukuro Ikusaba x Reader
Warning! : Mentions of murder, kidnapping
Tumblr media
⟢﹒To say she was shocked was a huge understatement. Imagine pining after someone you though was the one, but ultimately, you find out they want to kill your sister.
⟢﹒Normally Mukuro would immediately clarify you as a threat— but because it was you, she was torn between you two. Should she leave Junko behind and live her life with you or give up on her dreams of ever being with you to pursue the tragedy the two planned to cause?
⟢﹒Junko noticed that she was acting strange. Why was she being hesitant about it now? What could possibly be the cause of her distress?
⟢﹒Mukuro then attempted to talk Junko out of it. Since nothing has happened yet, maybe she could prevent. All so that her sister and her darling could perhaps get along, so that the two people dearest to her wouldn’t have to fight.
"Junko, could we perhaps… delay this? Or maybe, not do it at all?"
"Whaat?! Why would we stop here?! We haven’t even started yet! Why have you been acting so weird lately?"
"Something came up. It’s hard to explain, but maybe -“
"Is it that Y/N? Is that who’s been on your mind lately? Are you chickening out on me because of someone who’s spewing some empty threats my way?"
"No."
"I have no idea why you’re so worried, I’ll be fine~! There’s no way some bastard is going to get rid of me!"
⟢﹒It is quite hard to reason with Junko. Since there was no persuading her, she had to make a decision.
You or her.
⟢﹒The decision was hard but after a long time she came to a conclusion — She chose you.
⟢﹒Junko was appalled by her decision! How could she leave her like that?! But it was final.
⟢﹒While walking down the street, you were met with a familiar face; it was none other than Mukuro herself. You were defensive at first. You assumed she knew about your threat towards Enoshima, you thought she was here to kill you, you were shocked to hear that that wasn’t the reason.
"Don’t come any closer!" You yelled, your voice echoing through the alleyway.
"Y/N, I am not here to harm you. In fact, I have no intention of helping Junko.
"What are you talking about? Are you lying to me so that you can lure me into a trap?"
⟢﹒Suspicion is to be expected — although Mukuro isn’t the biggest fan of your response, but she’ll do anything for her s/o. She even went as far to abandon her own sister for you.
⟢﹒Trying to defend yourself is useless. She’s the ultimate soldier, so she was quick to apprehend you.
⟢﹒She knocked you unconscious after that. You still oppose a threat, if you’d threaten to kill Junko, what else are you capable of?
⟢﹒Mukuro rented an apartment for a while, holding you captive while Hope’s Peak questioned where one of their students went. She then forced you to call in sick.
⟢﹒Word came out that Junko did kickstart something, although it was going to take a while to pull off considering the fact she was on her own.
⟢﹒Later, Mukuro bought a house for you two to live in. Despite your protest and your determination to kill Junko becoming stronger, she wasn’t going to let you go.
⟢﹒It’ll be difficult to escape, but on the Brightside, you sorta stopped the tragedy, right?
Tumblr media
Thank you for requesting this, anon! It’s really late but I hope you like it. If you need anything else changed please do tell.
Experimenting with my writing style atm!! Let me know if you like it! :D

God so I just recently purchased the Blu-ray edition of the tenth doctor's run and have been watching the commentary tracks for each episode (which btw, are soo good if you're a major fan of this era. They add a lot of context and extra details to the episodes).
I just finished the girl in the fireplace's commentary track and thankfully hearing the cast's comments on the scenes made it all the more bearable. Not because i hate the episode, but because everytime I rewatch it, it feels like reopening a flesh wound lol
Tumblr media
Like it makes me so sad for everyone lmao.
Personally I am not of the opinion that it is badly written, I think the episode does a good job of exploring the more unflattering sides of the Doctor and his duties while also simultaneously exploring the strengths of those choosing to associate with him.
Within the episodes, the three leads make the ultimate sacrifice.
With Madame de pompadour sacrificing a slow path with the doctor for the greater good.
With Rose letting him go, knowing that his selflessness would never allow him to see someone he has come to care for, suffer a meaningless death
And the Doctor, choosing to step in and save Reinette, because it's the right thing to do in spite of knowing there's a possibility that he will never return. Especially with the amount of flirting they did, he formed a connection and now is made to pay the price for it.
It's such a sad episode, and the hurt on all sides always makes me feel so bad for everyone involved. Especially for Rose in particular, who has to put aside her personal feelings and step in spite of knowing how the doctor and Reinette feel about one another ( I wouldn't say love, but there's an attraction there definitely)
It goes to show how brave these two women are to do what is right even if it directly hinders their own needs. How much strength it really takes to accompany the doctor, given that one never knows how their adventures will end.
It also goes to show why you often don't see the doctor make promises to those he rescues. Why he often keeps people at a distance, because getting to know these people in peril personally makes losing them all too real. They become a priority above his better judgement, and he cannot escape the consequences of letting himself feel something towards them.
It's an unfortunate situation, but I think it goes to strengthen the bond between Rose and the Doctor further. As it not only explains why submitting to romantic attraction is a doomed endeavor on the Doctor's part, but why they both function well as a pair. Making them the only two in the scenario to really understand the repercussions of what has occurred on the big scale of things, but nonetheless letting the other grieve regardless.
Idk it's a war of conflicting feelings really lmao because although I am not a fan of the romance between him and Reinette (for other reasons), it manages to humanize him further. Making him a flawed individual that is not above making insensitive decisions or falling for flattery. He has feelings and emotions, that although help him sympathize to those around him, can also make him vulnerable in the same way any human is.
I think it adds to his character, although I will admit it had unfortunate timing on when it took place over the course of the overall character development (which ironically is a point that I have seen most agree with, even those that aren't the biggest fan of the Doctor and Rose romance). Overall, just very conflicted lmao
Lol just had to write out my thoughts, there will probably be more to come about these episodes since I'll be rewatching them.

I used to think the origin trio was made up by fans cause shigaraki has one (though I think AFO is getting one) but after the endeavor arc I thought hori was going to tied shouto to shigaraki too since they keep getting drawn as 3 but nope I understand wanting each character to have there own fight but if bkg was always going to fight AFO then none of the other people should have gotten a chance like endeavor should have been in the background as support fighting a toddler like aizawa all might fighting AFO made sense and he could have assist bkg
I always thought it was the people who would have the biggest role in ending the main threat / AFO (the person and the quirk).
It made sense for Shigaraki to be there, because with Decay being shown to affect the vestige plane, and him being the biggest victim of AFO, I think ultimately he'd be the one to destroy the quirk inside himself.
Deku's role would be to save Tomura (where AM failed) and convince him that instead of the greatest villain, he can be one of the greatest heroes;
Bakugou's role would be to fight AFO with a team (to parallel 2nd - the Leader)
Shouto's role would be to bring the peak of the Todoroki family power (genetically manufactured to bring down All Might) to the fight to help All Might's heir instead.
When All Might got his (belated) Rising/Origin, I thought it was to acknowledge his role in the destruction of AFO
These seemed like the thematically logical roles for them in my mind.

I may have a full writeup opinion thing later on, but for now, a general gist for Mob Psycho 100 now that we’ve finished.
Holy shit this show is fantastic.  Legitimately one of the best anime I’ve seen.
Shigeo is my boy.  I think this is a pretty common response but that is baby.
Ritsu’s great too, and I adore that conclusion in the final episodes.  He had been repeating that phrase a lot throughout the series, and I had noticed it as a thing where he’s constantly offering to talk, but Shigeo refuses to really tell him what’s up, and the payoff to that is fantastic.
Teru’s the fucking man.  Rival characters are great broadly, but this dude is the shit.  His piece in the final episodes is legitimately my favorite; he cannot match Shigeo by power, and cannot truly stop him raging out of control.  So instead, he goes out of his way to protect what he knows Shigeo would care about.  I can’t stop your powers.  But I can stop you from betraying your own ideals.  You are my rival, and I am here for you so hard that I will protect you from yourself.  Fucking love this kid.
I wound up really liking Reigen too.  He’s such an interesting character.  Kind of a shithead, but at the same time...he legitimately does help people, even if he lies about what the help is, and has a pretty solid sense of ethical action and what’s right to do.
To avoid going on about all the characters, I’ll just say no one missed.  Everyone’s solid.  Body Improvement Club are fantastic bros, Dimple’s a bro, telepathy club are great when they get serious, it’s nice to see literally every antagonist come around.
Okay I lied one more: Boss.  Like, not a huge fan of him broadly, but I adore how they wrapped him up.  It was so set to be an attempted self-sacrifice for Shigeo, who had done similar without the sacrifice bit, but it mirrors the student council president bit.  Just stepping out of it isn’t atonement.  You have to work hard and be there to make things right.  And when making that final choice...he does choose to stay, to put in that hard work for his son and his estranged wife.  And it’s so goddamn good.
With that, I think I can start gushing about themes.  Human connection being the biggest.  I love how this show handles connection, because I feel like it’s a fairly simple premise?  Like a lot of shows go for that as a major facet.  How often is your shonen protag’s thing “magical ability to be friends with anyone?”  But I think what works for this show is two things.  One, that they never back down from it.  In most stories, there’s the inevitable exception.  Someone you can’t reach out to and change.  And the notion is that you’re supposed to know when to draw that line, and when it’s okay to avoid “going soft” to protect everyone else.  That doesn’t really happen.  Shigeo will fight anyone who is a legitimate threat and not seriously hold back, but at no point is it fully malicious “you have to be destroyed,” which is something for later.  The other is...it’s not friendship.  Like, he has a very clear group of friends.  But there are plenty of people who aren’t strictly friends with him.  They’ve reformed, but not in a way where they’re integral to his life and all about staying close.  Rather, it’s more about what some stranger has done to really change your life, and what you in turn can do for others.
The other big one is that sense of special vs. average, and that what’s important is self-improvement.  Shigeo’s is really interesting as a protagonist, in that he’s...well, a lot like most shonen protags that never lose, but specifically my comparison was always Saitama.  There is never, at any point, a question of whether or not Shigeo’s gonna win.  He isn’t just strong, he’s virtually untouchable.  He is, by the standards of psychic powers, the most specialest ever.  And while Saitama’s power is played for comedic anti-climax, Shigeo’s is both to showcase a theme, and to a degree to set up for the final battle that’s ultimately against himself.  But his power, and him being the strongest, would usually be a huge deal, and the thing to focus on as he meets other people who test those limits and he has to refine that one major focus.  That’s really what shonen focuses on: what makes you special, and that being the area to refine as you become the best.  But...not here.  Shigeo is, from the start, very focused on the idea of being nothing without his powers.  If he didn’t have this, what would be left?  A lot of characters seem to have this history of wanting to be someone important; of wanting to leave a mark.  And that aspect that makes you special becomes the focus, only to be revealed that it’s either not really want you wanted, or you’re not actually the best at it, or that being so successful has gone to your head and poisoned your relationships with others.  It’s why I loved the Body Improvement Club so much.  They’re complete bros, and are super supportive.  Yeah, Shigeo passes out like every time.   But one time, he passes out a little later than he used to, and that’s a celebration.  You’re getting better.  You’re improving yourself.  The critical focus is on the idea that getting better as a person, and being well-rounded, is far more important than being “special.”  It’s Reigen’s first real teaching.  Take pride in what you can do, but don’t let it convince you you’re better than anyone.
The best bit for this was near the end of season 2, when Shigeo confronts the Claw underlings about what they’re destroying, and pressing “Could you make these things?  Can you do all the things that these people you claim are beneath you have done?  No one lives alone; everyone relies on the kindness of others.”  That’s honestly one of my favorite scenes in...anything?  It’s so strong.
But really, the biggest angle is just in that sense of Shigeo’s conflict always being with himself.  Don’t use your powers on others.  Don’t lose control.  Maintain.  And that’s important, but then to some degree he’s not honest with himself, and that repression manifests directly as the final conflict, as he loses control, something others have alluded to throughout the series.  It’s so good.
What that I want to talk about an aspect I was the most concerned about: Tsubomi.  She doesn’t get a ton of play.  Most of what we know of her is flashbacks, or other characters’ descriptions.  It makes her kinda hard to read, but the final episodes do handle this really, really well.  The first part of the final arc hammers in that Shigeo...doesn’t even entirely know why it is he likes her so much.  He comes to an answer, and it’s very sweet, but you realize that they haven’t interacted once.  It’s all memories, and nothing in the present moment.  So when they started teasing stuff like she’s thinking of cheering for him at the rally, it’s like oh, are they really setting up that this is reciprocal?  And I think the absolute best way to finish off the series?  Was the rejection.  There...really wasn’t a strong sense of romance there.  And Shigeo shouldn’t be with her just because he’s the protagonist, and we’re all rooting for him.  There’s more to it than that.  I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that conclusion.
This...is absolutely one of my favorites.  This show is incredible.  Looking back, I can’t think of a single thing that really missed its mark.  Even in episodes where it can feel a bit slow, it trains you quick to understand, this is buildup.  And the payoff at the end is gonna be something incredible.

I think moving to the Illyrian camps will be a huge hurdle in Rhysand and Feyre’s relationship. Their way of life is so different than the people who live in that place. Feyre and the other woman in Velaris are free, can interact with the opposite sex without worry and can have careers outside of home making. In Illyria, they face a never ending torrent of sexism and misogyny. They are also tightly controlled by their male relatives. They must look at the ground in the presence of males (which is something I think Feyre would forget to do), they must contribute to the camp (which will conflict with Feyre’s duties as High Lady) and they must listen to the commands of the men around them. I think this will be something that Feyre struggles to do and she will not know how to cope with all these new rules. How do you think moving to the camps will affect their relationship?
Hi, @thepinkdove ! Sorry for answering this so late. I'd been meaning to answer it, but I forgot about it until I checked my inbox today lol.
As far as I know, Rhysand and Feyre aren't moving to the camps anytime soon. I don't know if this is news you heard somewhere or if you mean it as a what-if, but I'll be answering this as the latter.
TL;DR: I don't think the treatment Feyre would face at the camps would be a hurdle for them, in and of itself, since Rhysand shares similar sentiments of disdain towards the Illyrians. I do, however, believe that Feyre would want to take action in helping the Illyrian females once she sees for herself how they’re treated. I also think that, maybe, she’d be quite critical of Rhysand’s lack of action in the camps over the centuries.
If and when Feysand were to ever move to the Illyrian camps, I am honestly conflicted on how it would affect their relationship. For one, though Feyre would severely disagree with their way of life, Rhysand does as well and iirc he either hates the Illyrians or doesn't care all that much about them, though he claims to, considering how little he's done to help them and how much he's done that's gotten them abused and slaughtered.
With that, I do think that any struggles Feyre might face there would be an anger and disgust they'd bond over since that seems to be common with them.
Still, I don't see Feyre as the type (at least in the OG trilogy) to sit back while innocents suffer. Though she tends to believe everything Rhysand says, living in the camps will give her an upfront, constant view of how females in Illyria are treated and what they go through. There's a chance she'd end up blaming it on the camp leaders who are the ones directly doing the oppressing, especially since she's not all that keen on criticizing Rhysand anymore, but I do think that she'd waver in her ultimate loyalty to her mate since it'd show a blatant lack of care for the camps on his part.
I'm not Feyre's biggest fan (understatement lol), but she's taken action in the past when directly faced with struggling faeries. I'll admit that this has commonly been used as a plot device to vilify other characters, but it’s still a part of her character, and I think she’d struggle to justify Rhysand’s lack of action in helping the Illyrian females because of this.
There is some parts I’m unsure about, personally, because while Feyre would probably be critical, she also might not be because she’s justified Rhysand’s actions in the past. I’m currently reading the second book in the ACOTAR series, and Feyre did criticize Rhysand for not acting against Amarantha, but that was treated more as a trauma response than anything legitimate so it’d honestly depend.
Rhysand is really good at gaslighting and manipulating her so, even if she does have concerns, he’d probably manage to assuage them quickly. If there’s other people involved, like maybe Nesta or friends she makes in the camps, she might have a mind of her own for once and stand up to him. It really all depends because Feyre’s characterization is very iffy depending on how the author wants Rhysand to look.
All in all, I do think that going to the Illyrian camps would be a hurdle in their relationship, but there’s a lot of complication in how I feel it’d be dealt with as Rhysand has been able to assuage her in the past, even if her concerns are legitimate. That, or they’re outright dismissed by the narrative.

Herein I commit the chronicle of the traveler. Shepherd to the stars in the dark. Though the world be sundered and our souls set adrift, where you walk, my dearest friend, fate shall surely follow. For yours is the Fourteenth seat—the seat of Azem.
I thought about making an official post about this for a bit and know that other wol also have similar thought that the wol is reincarnation of Azem. I do love this because it allows us to add so much more to our wol stories.
It's important to note that the backstory I have for Azem Stella goes a bit off canon, but mostly diverging into my own thing for her. A lot of Azem backstory is a mystery aside from small hints we get throughout Shadowbringers and Endwalker. The biggest one is when people refer to wol as looking very similar to Azem. They will always refer to Azem as either a man or woman depending on the gender of your wol. I thought long and hard what I wanted Stella version of Azem to look like and after some debate eventually came up with this.
Tumblr media
When the way forward is hidden even from the mind's eye, look not to the invocation, but within yourself. These were the words of the crystal's original bearer.
I do want to cover Azem history before Final Fantasy XIV, as we know the seat of Azem used to be held by Venat, who didn't return to the aetherial sea after completing her duties. The next Azem was Venat's friend and  protégé, who is noted being less than half Venat age when they first spared. This is mentioned during the main story quest where wol spares with Venat, who seems to know that the Warrior of Light is reincarnation of her friend.
Azem is also confirmed to be friend with Hades, also known as Emet-Selch and Hythlodeaus. As someone who tended to solve problems they fan into without seeking counsel or approval from the other Convocation members. This caused them to become quite a problem to their fellow Convocation members. A lot of Azem Stella Story runs same as much of what is revealed in the game. One thing I do want to point out is Azem opposed the Convocation's plan to sacrifice Elidibus and sacrifice their own people just to advert the final days.
It was during this time that Azem's soul and being were split into fourteen by the sundering, the ultimate result of Hydaelyn and Zodiark's battle. It was because they were against this plan that the Convocation considered Azem unworthy of having their memories preserved in a constellation crystal like the other members. It was only because of Emet-Selch acting behind his brothers backs did he create Azem's Crystal and imbued it with his friend's signature incantation, the ability to summon allies from a far. Which as we have seen the Wol has used multiple times to call fourth other Wol's from afar to assist them in various battles. It's stated that the greater part of Azem's soul would be reincarnated as the Warrior of Light, while the First's fragment would be Ardbert. It's why our Wol was able to see Ardbert when he visited them as a ghost. It is also why Ardbert was able to help stop the light progression in the final fight with Hades. Ryne makes a mention after better that Warrior of light soul is healed, which we can assume supports theory that the Azem soul in Ardbert merged with the Warrior of Light's soul.
Anyway, for my Azem backstory like stated it follows a lot of what is stated above aside from the fact that I do head canon that it was during this time that Stella Azem met and fell in love with G'raha's Ancient. I know a few people have thought of a similar thing but this relates to my overall story that they meet and fell in love with each other no matter what life time it is. First being before FFXIV, the next with Mako and T'sori and finally Stella and G'raha. They have a powerful love that surpasses time itself and keep meeting each other. It also adds to angst part of story when they are separated by fate.. I am a sucker for reincarnation stories and since ffxiv pretty much confirmed it is possible in this universe I am running with it.
I do also like the theory that Emet and Azem cared deeply for each other maybe more than friends but this would depend on the writer. I am up for writing any ships with Azem-Stella as long as writer and I build on that dynamic and follow the rules I have for shipping. Would love to write stuff prior to the final days too. I see so much cute stuff related to Azem and their time with Venet, Emet, and Hythlodeaus.

Hey marte, i know you’re not a fan of potentially controversial asks, but i just noticed something weird and i don’t know who else to talk to about it. I’ve had the babygate tag blocked for a couple years for my mental health, but I’m in a better place now and wanted to catch up on what i missed. However, I’ve since noticed a really uncomfortable pattern with some blogs: they go on and on about how B and the Clark’s are abusing F by putting him on social media and letting him being in documentaries for everyone to see, but those same blogs will then gush about how excited they are for HL to have kids. Baby photo shoots, Disney world pics, behind the scenes of concerts running around in 1D merch. Dad content, kid content, perfect family content content content. At first, i thought they were writing an au fanfiction, but some of these people are making full on manifestation boards and prayer circles. Am i crazy or is wanting that kind of stuff really hypocritical? Like, do people actually care about F’s well being, or do they just want him to disappear because he represents the ultimate stunt and would be more than okay seeing different young kids’ faces posted around as long as they’re HL’s? Maybe you don’t care and I’m just shouting into the void here, but I’ve noticed more and more that a lot of larries think the boys can do no wrong, that whatever they do is automatically the good and moral thing because they’re the ones doing it, and vice versa with people the fandom sees as bad. I just have a lot of mixed feelings on the whole thing, and thought maybe someone else’s perspective could help me make sense of things.
Hi, anon 🩵
I get what you mean. Here's my perspective. The reason so many people are berating the Clarks are several. They are unscrupulous. They had a baby just to pretend it was their daughters that she had with a rich and famous boybander as to elevate their own status and get some quick cash. They basically pimped out their baby for money and fame. Nowadays F has to be in the public domain like in the documentary, social media, attend concerts and so forth. Basically to 'act' as a son to Louis. F has no agency and free will to say no. They are using him as a means to an end. His right to privacy was sold to Sony by his own parents. He's an accessory. We also don't know how much of the money the Clarks have made on F that he gets to keep. F is their cash cow, their biggest income source and maybe their only income source. Maybe F is their breadwinner.
The difference between the Clarks and F, and HL having kids together, is that they will not (i hope) have kids with the primary goal of earning money off of them. The kids will (i hope) not be used as an accessory for pap walks to boost their parents image as mature, dependable and responsible people (other celebs do this). If HL choose to show their kids faces to the public it will hopefully be because they are proud of their kids and think they are the most beautiful thing to ever happen to them. They want to brag and say 'look at this kid, how lucky are we?' (Like any mom and dad posting pics of their kids ever). Maybe we'll get to see 'eating solids for the first time' pics, 'first day in kindergarten' pics, 'learning to swim' pics and 'she learned to walk, why is my kid growing so fast *crying emoji*' pics so on. I don't think they'll take advantage of their kids. I think they will have them just be themselves and not have them 'act' so they fit with their parents image. HL have so much money that they'll never have to use their kids as an income source (thankfully).
I also think that people want to see HL being as successful in their private life as they are in their public life, especially because we haven't seen them together for years. Them having kids would be the icing on the cake. We just want to see them happy (and for many that includes with kids).
Hope this helped anon!

For the writing ask game, 11 and 17?
Hi! :D
11. Do you write for yourself, or for the readers?
With complete sincerity, and with much appreciation for all of you, I write 100% for myself. I am my biggest fan. I write exactly what I want to read. The author knows exactly what I want and always hits my exact sense of humour, because the author is me.
External readers are really helpful for motivation and I definitely get a rush from comments, especially when people engage and come up with their own theories, but I am ultimately writing for myself and I wouldn't change that.
17. What piece of writing are you most proud of?
I think this is a gift (it comes with a price) is some of the best writing I've ever done. I think it flows well, I think the shift in the atmosphere as things get more real is good, and I like how I handled all the characters. It is also a piece that I wrote about trauma, and was at least partly me processing what I used to do around anti-human trafficking work, so it's not what I would recommend to every reader, but I'm proud of it.

RE: ROY’S UPBRINGING, CHRIS MUSTANG AND HOW HE CAME TO BE BERTHOLD’S STUDENT     TRIGGER WARNINGS: childhood sexual assault/abuse ( not graphic & under the cut )
roy's relationship with chris is complicated by a number of factors. she never wanted to have children but did not trust the foster care or adoption systems with her nephew on top of the guilt she would feel having little or no contact with her only living relative. she is poorly equipped to raise a child, especially one as young as roy was when he came into her custody, and unwilling to sacrifice her position as madam and ownership of the brothel. there is the question of whether a young boy should be raised in such an environment but she chooses not to worry about that and focus on raising him.
i do not know how much i will address this in my writing as i am Very Cautious about doing so, but there is also the fact she simply did not know what to do with a first gen kid. she knew nothing of xingese culture, barely knew his mother, and did not want him to stand out more than he already did from his appearance alone. he is taught not to speak the little xingese he knows and to stand up for himself as amestrian and wholly amestrian. she did her best in the situation but is primarily responsible for roy’s estrangement from his own culture ( until post canon when he makes the choice to reconnect with it ).
most of roy’s playmates were the women employed at the brothel, hanging out with them when they weren’t with clients and helping them get ready or work on various projects. this is where he learns to sew and cook. it is also where he gets his first taste of femininity, letting the girls dress him up or do his makeup as well as helping them with their own. he’s just playing and having fun and he enjoys it, it isn’t something he will examine his feelings on until much later when he is beginning to construct the most rigid parts of his public persona.
the problem with being raised in a brothel with a caretaker who cannot keep a close eye on you is that bad things are going to happen. at the very least roy was going to see some things that he shouldn’t have. chris protected her girls but sex work can be dangerous and people can be bad. a young boy was something that could be desirable and to a handful of clients it was. ultimately the girls couldn’t protect him and there were a few who didn’t care to. although the memories were mostly obfuscated and blacked out, the change in his behavior around the brothel when these events began to occur was distinct.
although roy would never tell her what happened in her establishment, chris would eventually find out and though she would take actions to protect him, it became clear this was not a safe environment. by this point roy has started practicing alchemy and is excelling both in its practice and his school work. he is a very smart boy and chris is not equipped to nurture that to its fullest.
it is in a meeting with general grumman that she mentions the boy’s talent and alludes to something darker, to her wish to send him elsewhere and he offers a solution: his son in law. though he is not berthold’s biggest fan, he knows he is a talented alchemist working on his own theories and, he reckons, some time in the country would be good for the boy ! chris reaches out and with some convincing berthold agrees to accept roy as his apprentice.
roy was more than happy to get as far away from central and the brothel as he could and had already been working on alchemy as a means of protecting himself and others, dreaming of becoming state certified and being able to do so on a much larger scale. berthold is his own set of challenges but he does not pose a physical threat and he is still an intelligent teacher and allows him to meet the girl who will be his best friend and later his wife.
though roy does care for chris deeply, this all leads to their complicated relationship. he does not consider her his mother and after so long he does not resent her for failing to keep him safe, but it is still another barrier between them. she was formative in the persona he carries to this day and that is both a blessing and a curse. they both struggle, to some degree, with connecting with people in an honest way and it works out, ultimately in maintaining their relationship without needing to bring up every complicating factor in roy’s upbringing.

The Runaway Hilda AU
Tumblr media
(amazing cover art done for me by @blagzdeath)
The Runaway Hilda AU is an alternate universe, diverging from the end of Hilda Season 2 - in this timeline, Hilda isn't caught by her mum at the start of The Stone Forest, and instead escapes to Frida's, only to come home to Johanna even more upset, causing their biggest argument yet.
As a result, Hilda decides her mum would be better off without her, and runs away from home to live in the wilderness. Johanna, desperate to find her missing daughter, joins the Safety Patrol, and ultimately becomes deputy leader. Hilda finally comes home after a year away, only to find out that a lot has changed in her absence, and things can't go back to how they were before she left.
The fics of the Runaway AU are written to stand alone, and can be read on their own or in any order. But, here is the timeline as it stands, covering every fic written by me and my amazing little sibling @ultimate-kaisa-simp for this series:
To The Hills (the night Hilda ran away - replaces The Stone Forest)
The 5 + 1 Runaway Hilda AU, Chapter 1  (1 week after Hilda ran away)
The 5 + 1 Runaway Hilda AU, Chapter 2 (3 months after Hilda ran away)
The 5 + 1 Runaway Hilda AU, Chapter 3 (Sonstansil Eve - 6 months after Hilda ran away)
Room For One More, Chapter 1 (Sonstansil Eve - immediately after #4)
Full Disclosure (3 days after Sonstansil Eve)
Room For One More, Chapter 2 (1 week after Sonstansil Eve)

A completely random thing that sets me off about novel!Johanna is her choice to make the walls completely white. Who does that.
My family? XD My house has white walls (Arctic White specifically, IIRC), and most of the walls in my dad's house were white too. I think that's the least worrying thing about her, sorry XD

The Hilda Novels, Revisited
I didn't plan on making this. Anyone who's read my previous post on this subject will know that I didn't have a good time with the first three of the Hilda tie-in novels, and they put me off reading the Season 2 tie-ins. But, eventually, I couldn't help myself; I have now read all 6 books, and I wanted to go back in light of that and put all of my thoughts in one place.
So, I'm going to re-cover my thoughts on the first three books, and go over my opinions on the second set and what changed between them. I still have plenty I want to say, and a lot of it is still very negative, so a warning in advance; I am still not a big fan of this series.

Moon Knight thoughts from a comic fan;
I get it, people hate us comic readers for nitpicking because MCU tends to alter too much, but you have to understand that we have been reading and loving these characters for decades so it’s a little upsetting to see the thing you love about a character be altered for the sake of the MCU (when a proper/accurate adaptation is possible, MCU opts not to do so) and I understand, the MCU is meant to be a “fresh take” bring something new, I haven’t really expected comic accuracy since 2016, but sometimes I want it when it doesn’t make much sense for the changes (I’ve mentioned this before on Taskmaster, I wouldn’t even care if Taskmaster was a woman as long as she had the same attitude as Tony did in the comics that would’ve been so funny to have a cocky woman thinking she could beat everyone with her cool abilities it would’ve been a cool approach but noooo) so before you decide “ugh this annoying comic stan is going to cry their eyes out because MCU isn’t my precious comic book!!! You are damn right, it’s not, and it doesn’t always need to be, there are some aspects in comics that NEED to be changed and adjusted, due to times changing and all of that, there are some pretty poorly aged moments in comics that need to be addressed and fixed and the MCU can help “fix/retcon” it. But please, it will always be valid to dislike something just because it’s not like the source material, we have been here before, we liked the said media for the purpose of what it originally was, changing it too much makes the characters unfamiliar to us, the things we were attached to are gone forever and we have to face that with MCU stans screaming at us to get over it, and it’s a very invalidating feeling. I hate being told that I’m stupid for not enjoying it because it’s not what I wanted, I am a fan, I’m a consumer, if I pay for a movie at the theater I am expecting to enjoy it, if I don’t it’s my business and I get to complain. I’m never going to get up in others posts/faces for people who love the MCU and tell them “you are so stupid this isn’t anything like the REAL MOON KNIGHT— you are so stupid for thinking this is cool when he isn’t even written properly like the comics” because I am not that kind of person its an opinion at best I want people to like it, I honestly wish I enjoyed it like everyone else. I mean for crying out loud I have wanted a Moon Knight series since I was 16 years old! (I’m now 22) I was so excited, and this series came out on my birthday (March 30th) so you can imagine the excitement I had, made me feel like the ultimate Moon Knight fan. And then the time came I turned it on, and it wasn’t what I was expecting, but I didn’t even know what I was expecting, so I was simply eager to see how it unfolds, this is the MCU’s take, their vision I wanna see what’s in store, but there were things that were already not sitting right with me and let me explain them really simply before this post gets too long, these were my biggest complains since the start of the series that never changed.
- Marc Spector is Jewish, I was worried from the start since Wanda Maximoff was white washed and had her religion erased that they wouldn’t write in his religion at all. I understand it’s the first episode so there’s plenty of time to dive into the series and get to know him and his religion in the future, so honestly I was giving them the benefit of doubt. But they didn’t pull through, I feel like they treated his religion too much of a cameo than they did for anything else. That has always been a very integral part of his character. So to ignore it for most of the series was weird for me, I couldn’t digest it. And then when they finally placed the smallest little nod to it, it felt almost damaging, they really did the bare minimum for him and his religion. And it didn’t work for me. I’m not Jewish, but I am religious and I would’ve hated to see my own religion that was important to a character and myself be treated the way I saw it displayed on the screen that day. My heart goes out to everyone who is Jewish and has to deal with the horrible comments I’ve seen across the internet these last few weeks, I will never unsee those things you all said and did to anyone who tried to speak out about the bad representation.
- Jake Lockley: I know there was many of you who don’t know him, who told us to shut up for him not appearing and worst off insulting his mustache. Like that’s a deal breaker for me. I need that mustache, some of you in this fanbase honestly scare me with how quickly you will fight anyone who actually likes the source material. If you can’t like Jake Lockley you need to leave. I won’t forgive how the MCU went about to portraying him, it was really stupid. No I do not believe he’s an evil alter because they don’t exist, and I’m hoping Marvel isn’t stupid enough to think they can pull that off and get away with it. They better not be. If we get to see Moon Knight again and they do that… I don’t know what I will do. It’s really damaging seeing everyone depict him as a violent, manipulative womanizer. If anyone who said this read a comic please tell me which one it was, if it was the Bemis one please DM your address; I will show you violence— there are so many of you who just want Jake to be evil or believe he’s violent and unlikeable, and someone said he needs to go to hell- never in my entire life as a Moon Knight fan would I have ever expected Jake Lockley to be hated more than the villains they faced. It’s downright insulting!
- Lack of supporting Moon Knight cast: no Gena, hardly any Crawley (it’s not the same without Jake and no one knows it) Marlene (Layla you are fine I get what’s happening but I still miss Marlene) Frenchie, where— where are they?! Why aren’t they here?? It felt so empty without my MK family. It was upsetting and I couldn’t stand the lack of the supporting cast. I mean not even a small nod to anyone there— didn’t feel like Moon Knight to me. There’s a chance to add them in later but idk just feels like a waste now.
- The handling of DID. Why did they never explicitly tell the audience and give them an understanding of Dissociative Identity Disorder? Do you know how much that could’ve helped a lot of people who still think it’s a made up disorder or that Khonshu created them? It’s not- I have been arguing my case for weeks about Moon Knight and his disorder to… well it feels like a wall. The people I’ve had to say use terms “personalities” and “evil personalities” and overall some ableist nonsense I’ve endured these last few weeks. I’m always very mindful about terminology and how I discuss mental disorders. It’s a serious matter that shouldn’t be joked about. There are lots of memes and wow it’s a mess out here. But whatever, I find I’m complaining more about the fan base than the series. But in the end it’s the whole crew of Moon Knight who have caused this. Giving a very good explanation on what DID is and how it affects Marc could’ve been so good, would’ve been insightful for new viewers and those who are not familiar with the disorder, also I wanted to see it done similar to in the comics but they wanted to pull a whole “mystery” on us which I didn’t enjoy. I didn’t like how they chose to approach DID in the slightest. This also has a play in why I dislike Jake’s absence, they have always looked after each other and worked well together rarely did they fight over who got to front either. I don’t know I didn’t enjoy the constant battle between Marc/Steven as it felt really odd for me, I’m not the biggest expert on DID I know it can different between patient to patient but it just wasn’t something I felt was good representation, I didn’t like how they treated it like Steven wasn’t real in the end or that there was an accusation that the other was fake/a hassle to the other. From my interpretation alters are supports for the individual to help them in serious or mentally difficult situations that the main cannot handle, they are there to help with communication, trauma and support, I never understood it as then fighting like two siblings with a video game controller. But I do not know everything and would love to be educated on the matter and understand, so please tell me if you have DID/are a DID expert if this rep is good and I need to cool it. I didn’t like it but if it’s good rep I can’t argue, it’s not my place to say.
- I didn’t like Steven, yes it’s because he is nothing like his comic counter part and I absolutely do not need to explain myself further.
- Everything boils down to it’s not my Moon Knight. But I’m glad you all enjoyed it, I wish I did too. While it wasn’t awful that I wanted to gauge my eyeballs out, it wasn’t what I wanted and I do feel some self entitlement, actually more so now that it is over because I’m seeing millions of posts/tweets about how much everyone loved it and that’s fine, but it’s that select few who are purposefully trashing/harassing us comic fans and Jewish people online, that is what sparked this whole post. I couldn’t take another post without wanting to argue. Instead I wrote this, because I don’t wanna be that guy, the person who starts fights because I can’t just enjoy something and suddenly don’t want others to have fun. I wanna have fun too, but I wanna be heard and respected, that it’s okay to have disliked it, I’m not wrong just different. I wouldn’t have even broke down and wrote this if it wasn’t for the latter of this fanbase. I was simply going to remain silent on this whole series and stubbornly ignore it’s existence. But it won’t leave any time soon.
If you made it this far I wanna thank you for reading, and apologize if I said anything that just hurt you. I don’t wanna be a cruel individual, I simply wanted to state my feelings. Hope you all have a wonderful year and if you enjoyed Moon Knight (2022) cheers to you!!

Thor:  Love and Thunder (spoilers)
What in the hell was that?
I really am going to have to see the movie again because I’m not sure what I feel about it (also, the sound was really terrible at the theater I was in and so there were several pieces of dialogue I couldn’t hear).  Now I should be clear, this isn’t the worst Marvel movie or the worst Thor movie (hello, Dark World).  In fact, I did enjoy the story of the film.  But there’s some things that are done here that I’m not quite sure worked or were a bit....I probably would have wondered if this was just a story Krog was telling and that none of it was real, if it wasn’t for certain serious events that happen during this movie.
I think the biggest part the bugged me was the whole backstory of Thor’s and Jane’s relationship.  I mean, I know Marvel does have a tendency to retcon things but that’s....a lot that has suddenly taken place between Dark World and Age of Ultron.  And, yes, I know Thor says they’re taking a break in Age of; but there’s no indication that they had a whole ass relationship like this.  This feels out of nowhere because it came out of nowhere.
Also, who the hell thought it was a good idea to let Russell Crow speak in that accent?
Also, if you’ve seen the trailers then you’ve pretty much have watched all of the Guardians scenes in this movie.  Now that being said, this is more of a complaint of the trailers.  I’m actually glad The Guardians weren’t in the movie for that long as I feel like it would have made the movie feel bloated.
Christian Bale’s Gorr was not what I was expecting.  I don’t mean this in a negative way.  I think if he had been just played straight, we would have had another Ronan the Confessor.  He unhinged behavior was unsettling, but I think in a good way.
There are several cameo’s I was surprised to see in this movie, but I was glad to see them.
I don’t know why I found the jealous weapons and the screaming goats to be so funny and yet...
Of course, the biggest event was the return of Natalie Portman as Dr. Jane Foster.  If you’ve read my previous posts on the first two Thor movies, you’ll know I’m not a fan of the character.  Eh, let me rephrase that.  I didn’t dislike the character as it was more that I didn’t see the point of her in the first movie (other then to be a love interest) and then they turned her into a literal plot device in the second one.  As for this movie, well, she is still a plot device to a certain extent.  However, she also has her own story.
Of course, her storyline is based on The Mighty Thor comics.  The biggest difference in her origin is that, in the comic, she was diagnosed with Stage One Breast Cancer which became Stage Four after continued use of Mjolnir; whereas, in the movie, she already is at Stage Four when she first uses it.  And so Jane’s story is one where....she knows her time left is limited, so how does she want to spend that time? Does she continue to fight the disease with treatments that might keep her alive a little longer, but are ultimately are not working well enough to stop the disease?  Or does she chose to use the power of Thor to help others, knowing that doing so will end up allowing the Cancer to kill her quicker?  In other words, this is a story of a terminal person’s right to choose how they live the end of their life.  This story is probably the strongest part of the movie.
Of course, with the teasers, we have a couple of questions.  Does this mean Jane can return?  Well, I would say (as of this moment) I saw it more of a way to let the audience know that, while Thor and Jane are parted now, they’ll be reunited when Thor dies and goes to Valhalla (we all know he’ll die in battle).  That being said, Jane did die and go to Valhalla in the comics.  And Thor did bring her back, so it is a possibility.
Also, I think it’s very clear that between this movie, The Eternals, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel; Marvel is bringing in the more mythological aspect of the Marvel comics to the MCU.  Also, Hercules cameo...there has to be more to that, right?
