so you wanna start a blog? in this post i’ll break down effective ways to start, manage and maintain a blog (from my own experience of course) i hope u find this helpful ✨

TOPIC AND IDEA ;

to have a blog you need an idea or concept about what your blog will be about. make your blog about either something that you know a lot about/are proficient in.

or blog about something that u are learning about as a way to track ur progress and learn new information. you could blog about something that you love a lot etc etc.

AESTHETIC ;

what is your aesthetic? for me it’s hyper feminine and pink and just DIVINE. when u choose and stick to an aesthetic it’ll give ur blog kind of a signature which is important for the rest of this post.

when u have an aesthetic in mind for ur blog make sure that you have plenty of pins on pinterest that mesh nicely with ur aesthetic so u can find things like headers, dividers, photos and emojis that suit the aesthetic of ur blog.

RESOURCES ;

pinterest is my holy grail for resources. there u can find headers and photos to use in ur posts to give ur audience something visually pleasing to look at while they read ur post.

what ur gonna want to start off ur blog aesthetic and theme is ;

a header

a color scheme (for coloring/bolding words. and the colors for ur blog page in general)

an informative bio

a pfp

dividers

START OFF POST IDEAS ;

if u want to run a well organized blog there are a couple posts that i think are beneficial for u to make. in fact the most important post that i think any blog should have is a MASTERLIST.

master lists are great for a multitude of things. they help ur audience to navigate ur blog easier and see all that you have to offer in one convenient tap of their finger. plus when u make navigating ur blog easy, more people will experience ur content which will mean more interactions with ur post.

not only does it help the audience but it also helps u to know what u did and didn’t post, so that u can plan effectively for the future. it’s also a fun way to see how much u posted. i recommend making a new masterlist every year or when you can’t put any more links onto it 💀. if u want a reference for a good masterlist you can check out mine right here.

CONSISTENCY ;

consistency is key in anything and everything and blogging is no exception. i recommend not blogging in a competitive nature, rather i think in order to be consistent with something like a blog you should genuinely just do it for funsies/passion and as a way to have ur own authentic creative outlet.

i don’t have a set posting schedule bcuz i don’t want blogging to feel like a chore when in reality it’s just a hobby that happened to gain an audience because people enjoyed it. and because people enjoy what i write, it in return makes me happy and wanna write more.

SIGNATURE ;

i cannot stress this enough but when u have a platform whether it’s small or big individuality sets you apart! have something that sets u apart like personalized hash-tags, a way that u talk, etc etc.

personalize hash-tags with things like emojis. also, USE UR HASHTAGS because when someone looks up something like “self improvement” your post will be what they see if u add those hashtags.

furthermore if u personalize those hashtags it sets u apart and gives ur blog a kind of brand and individuality in a way. like a signature at the end of a post.

The Past - Zuko

Pairing - Zuko x reader

Warnings - none!

Word Count - 663

“Remember when you were bald?” You said through a cough, giving Zuko a sideways glance with a little smirk on your face.

“Oh come on!” Zuko exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air. “What the heck did I ever do to you, y/n? Stop making fun of my bald self.” He crossed his arms and pouted and you just giggled to yourself as Toph and Sokka were holding back laughter.

“You have to admit it’s a little funny, Zuko.”

“It’s not!”

You walked over to Zuko and put your arm around him. “Okay, okay, it’s not that funny.”

“Thank you!” Zuko turned away from you still pouting and the campfire you were around with the others went silent.

Until you spoke up, of course.

“Remember when all you wanted to do was capture the Avatar.” Everyone started laughing and Zuko’s face went as red as a tomato. It definitely didn't help that Aang, you know, the literal Avatar, was sitting right there.

Sure, Zuko was happy that the gaang took him in, but it was definitely a little embarrassing that he had once made it his whole life and every waking moment to capture him.

“I have to capture the Avatar and restore my honor.” You said in a mocking dramatic voice.

Sokka and Toph were completely out of breath laughing while Aang and Katara were trying not to laugh in respect of Zuko.

“Okay, y/n.” Zuko turned to you, his face flushing a dark crimson. “I'm serious. Stop.”

“Zuko,” you walked over to him and tucked his long hair behind his ear. “You know I'm just playing. Sure, capturing the Avatar was definitely number one on your list, but you were still just a kid.” You rubbed his arm and Zuko smiled at you.

Zuko didn't know if he could live without you or his uncle. You were both there for him through thick and thin since he was banished from the fire nation. Heck, you even decided to go back to the fire nation with him after that awful crisis in Ba Sing Se. No matter what, you were always there for him.

“Remember when we would train on the boat?” You smiled.

Everyone turned to the both of you, intrigued.

You just smiled and hugged Zuko’s arm. “You’ve always had the potential to be a great fire bender. Who cares if your sister was some prodigy since she was born? You've always put in the work, making you that much better.”

“Stop,” Zuko said with a bright red face, hugging you to him. “If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be as good as I am.”

“Oh, come on, Zuko! I'm not that good.”

“YES YOU ARE!” You laughed at Zuko’s sudden outburst.

“Yeah, y/n!” Aang butt in, beaming at you. “You’re not only one of the best fire benders I’ve ever met, but also the nicest. No offense Zuko.”

“None taken.”

“You guys are a riot.” You said with a joking eye roll, standing up to stretch your legs.

Zuko stood up with you and wrapped his arm around you, looking at the full moon.

“You know,” Aang said, standing up and walking over to the two of you. “If it wasn't for the both of you hating my guts for that period of time, I honestly don't think that I would have any firebending teacher.”

You and Zuko smiled at Aang, pulling him in for a little group hug. Aang smiled and ran back to the rest of the group and you turned to Zuko and pulled him into his own hug, kissing the crook of his neck. “I'm so proud of you.” You whispered and looked at his bright yellow eyes with small tears of your own.

“I'm proud of you too.” He leaned down to you and gave you a small, but loving kiss on the lips before the two of you cuddled in each other’s arms, watching the clouds cover the moon.

surprises you by actually learning croatian!

you'd never seen him put in that much effort in anything but one day he just starts speaking it perfectly

he spoke so formally though, so you helped him ease into speaking it so he grew more comfortable

summary: you were scared to first meet Erling's family, but when his mom showed you his old photos, you realized that you already loved them

warnings: just a sweet fluffy and a really embarrassed erling

author notes: thank you so much for your sweet coments! this mens a lot for me! and now, omg, i loved this request sooooo much !!! i have so much to talk about old photos take i might make a part 2 of this sorry for the wait, i'm just really busy with everything, and now, to only make things worse, i'm kind of sick, so sorry.

word count: 1,4k (the biggest one i wrote so far)

"nothing, just seeing your sweet little ass"

“I don’t think i’m ready for this Erling” you said worried. “Relax love, they already like you” Haaland was trying his best to calm you down.

Both of you were in the car, heading to Erling’s parents house, and until now, you weren’t really worried about meeting his family for the first time, the anxciety only came when you were five minutes away from the their house. The reality hit you like a train.

Questions like, “what if they don’t like me?”, “and if they think i’m not good enought for their son?” were poping up in your head. Your hands were shaking and you could feel the sweat running down you back.

Erling’s parents had already met you at online calls and you even had exchanged a bunch of chat messages, but meeting them in person was totally different. To only make things worse, this was the first time you were at Norway, so beside meeting his parents, there were lots of cultural differences, like the food, the weather and the language itself.

You checked your clothes for what felt the 100th time in only ten minutes, looking at the mirror to see if your hair was good.

Your boyfriend sweet as always, noticing how nervous you were, got your shaking hands and placed them on his tight, giving a little grip to show that he was there for you.

Being honest, Haaland wasn’t worried about his parents reaction, he was sure that everything would be fine, afterall his family was super excited to meet you, more than himself. They already loved you.

"You'll be good, love. I trust you." he tried to calm you down one more time. "Sorry, i'm overreacting, but it's just that..." Haaland interrupted you before you could end.

"I'll be at your side, just trust me, nothing bad will happen" he said looking at you with a sweet smile.

You weren't really relax, but Erling's words made you feel a little better, now, some positive thoughts were popping in your head.

After some minutes, you two were finally at Haaland's family house.

You stopped at the door, fixing your clothes for a last time. "Wait, don't open the door yet!" before you could finish your sentence, someone suddenly opened the door, making you and your boyfriend freeze.

"Oh my god! You are so pretty" your heart stopped for a second, yours and Erling's head slowly turning to the person by the door.

You felt your cheeks heating up, now, Haaland's mom was looking directly at your face, examining every piece of it, making you self-councionus.

"By the pictures, i already knew that you were beautiful, but looking at you right now, i'm sure that you are gorgeous" she said soft smiling at you.

Of course, Haaland's mom already knew that you would be nervous, and she could also see that, not only at your face, but also in your body language. Now, her goal was to make you feel welcomed and loved.

You let a sigh in relief, your body finally relaxing. "Thank you so much, you are also gorgeous, mis." you said smiling.

Erling was only paying attention to the interaction, he was so happy that his heart could explode now. There was nothing better than seeing two of the people he loved the most getting along.

"Let's come in, everyone wants to meet you, i'm sure they will love you just like i do." she said pushing you to the inside of the house.

You couldn't lie, in the first ten minutes of the meeting were really odd foy you, because you were just standing in the middle of the living room, surrounded by a bunch of norwegians asking questions that you were trying your best to answer them all.

After this weird moment, everything went more than good, after some time you were already feeling in home. Everyone in Erling's family was so nice, you wanted to cry.

They cooked all kind of differents foods especially for you, from typical norwegians food, to the classic food you were already familiar with, all of this just to make you feel welcome. Even Erling's dad, that you were scared of, was actually a really sweet man, just like his son.

"So, what are you thinking?" your boyfriend asked, seeing that you were lost in your own thoughts. "I'm just really happy" you smiled up at him. "Your family is so sweat, makes me wanna cry" Haaland's eyes brightened when he heard your words.

"You are just too good, i don't deserve you" he hugged you, putting his chin on the top of your head.

You giggled, hugging him back. You two were in your own loving world, when someone approachead.

"Hey love bird, can i steal your girlfriend for a minute?" Erling's mom asked softly. "No" Haaland said, squeezing you in his big arms. You laughed at his actions, but you quickly left him, wanting to see what his mother wanted.

"Come with me sweet, i want to show you something" Marita (Erling's mom) pushed you by your hand.

You looked at Erling, but he only give you a head shake, also not knowing what his mom wanted. You follwed the older woman to the living room, where you were before.

Marita sat on the couch, a big box on her hands. Tapping the place on her side, she silent asked for you to sat there.

The room was quiet for a moment, only you and the older woman satting on the couch, Haaland had left you a time ago, wenting to backyard with the rest of his family.

"This is our family album" she explained, taking a book out of the box. "Well, this is actually Erling photo album" she said looking at you.

You stared at the book in her hands, not believing in what Marita had just said.

"Since when i first knew Erling was dating, i wanted to show you this, you know, it's a tradiction between daughter-in-law and mother-in-law" she said laughing.

Your boyfriend would be pissed of if he ever discovered that you were seeing his baby and teenager photos, but in this moment, you couldn't care less. You would deal with Erling's dramatic ass later.

Marita showed to you a bunchof photos, from all of Haaland's life, honestly, it was adorable.

You let a loud laugh came out of your mouth, but it wasn't you fault, the picture you were seeing was just to funny, even Marita was giggling.

In the photo, a baby Erling was in the pool, a cute little frog hat on his head, but apparently, he wasn't really happy, his face in an angry expression.

"He was mad because he was wet" his mother explained, "You see, he wanted to go to the pool, but he didn't want to get wet" your tummy was already hurting from how bad you were laughing.

"Yeah, he is a pain in the ass since he's a baby" you teased your boyfriend, even if he wasn't in the room. "And what about this one?" you asked pointing to other picture.

In this one, baby Erling was hugging someone's leg, his little hands holding the jeans like his life depended on it.

"Moments before he was running, and of course, he felt. And you know him" Marita said passing her fingers through her blond hair "He was scared to fall again, so he decided to walk hugging his dad's leg"

"Drama queen" you said looking at his little face in the photo.

Marita continued passing the pages, always making sure to explain the situation behind the photos, making you feel part of the family. Your good moment were interruped by a happy Erling.

"What are my two ladies doing?" he asked kissing you both on the forehead. "Nothing, just seeing your sweet little ass" you answered holding the album.

It was funny the way Erling's expression turned from happy and excite, to pure desesperation when he saw the book in your hands, his facing turning more white than usual.

"Mom! I can't believe you were showing this to her!" he complained, trying to get the thing out of your hands.

His mom's devilsh smiled didn't hide any of her intentions, and nor did yours.

"Don't worry baby, i think you look cute in this duck pajama" you teased, looking at the picture where teenager Haaland was wearing a duck pajama.

"Please, stop" he begged, his face getting red with all the shame he was feeling now.

Feeling merciful, you closed the album, letting it on the couch, running to your boyfriend's arm. You passed your arms around his neck, looking directly at his flustered face.

"You were always so cute, love" you could hear his mom laughing behind your back. "I hate you both" he said loud enough for you two here, before hugging you back.

"We love you too, Erl" Marita said walking out of the living room, leaving you two alone, but before she was gone, she blinked at you. "I'll show you the rest of the photos later, honey".

"Got it, sir!" you said to her, giggling when Erling pinched the side of your waist.

"You are going to pay for this later, babe" he warned, squeezing your thigh.

"Well see that, duck boy" you couldn't help, but tease him a little more.

she opens the door and ushers you in with a very cute “ladies first” and you step into her room with a lil smile on ur face bc it’s so her!!!

The walls are decorated with photos of her friends and her dad and her adoptive siblings but also medals and old jerseys from her all the sports she’s played and then there are the four big bookshelves that are stuffed to the brim with textbooks, notebooks, and well-worn novels and her desk is nice and neat and her bed looks so comfy and plush with all her blankets and pillows and one lil shark plushy!!

Abby closes the door behind her and just stares at u as u take in her room and she could really really get used to ur presence here :) she watches as you walk up to her shelves and squat down to look at the lowest shelves and she nearly faints bc ur thighs!! In lace!!! she is such a munch she wants u so bad!!! n u look so cute the way u immediately gravitated to her shelves like the cute lil bookworm she knows u are n she cannot be in this room anymore she needs to take a Breather or she will beg u to kiss her

So she clears her throat and asks u if u want any snacks or alcohol n u pass on the alcohol (bc u would like to be Sober to remember every moment with her) but u will take snacks!!!

She hops her way out of the room and u keep looking through her shelves and by the time she comes back ur sitting on the floor in front of Shelf 3 (her sci-fi and fantasy shelf) and she is carrying a precarious pile of snacks and bevvies of all types and ur rushing up to help her!!

Ur asking her why she got the entire supermarket n she just replies that she wanted u to have a lot of options n if u want anything else she will go get it and she looks so cute and happy and at peace with u (even though internally she’s freaking out bc hot girl in her room???) that u melt a lil bit and just help her lay everything out on the floor

n now u two are sitting on the floor munching on snacks and talking about the book!! n she talks about how sweet it is but also subway sex?? Unlikely??? N u agree but also now she’s talking about sex and somehow the conversation has devolved to weirdest sex stuff you’ve read in books and now ur thinking about abby and sex and that is a very deadly combo

n theres this weird lil lull in the conversation bc neither of u can keep talking about sex with each other lest you jump her bones and kiss each other silly which is what u both want but don’t know it’s mutual :( so instead u two switch to reading ur books bc ur both almost done!!

At this point u’ve moved to Abby’s bed bc it’s just so comfy and ur shoes are across the room and ur all cozied up with one of her blankets around ur shoulders n ur leaning on her pillow and it smells like her n ur so engrossed in the book that the lil eyebrow crease is back!!! And she wants to kiss u so so bad it makes her look stupid how badly she wants to make u cum until u cry and also snuggle you for the rest of ur life

But she will be patient!! n for now she is content with sitting in cozy silence with u on her bed until u fall asleep :(
