Huge painting of randy I just did
Apparently hands are WAY more fun and easy to draw when they’re huge
The art supplies in front of the painting is everything I used for it. My grandma bought me the worlds cheapest paint and I wanted to use it lol

Papas as Caretakers (Headcanons)
Papas as your caretakers, completely sfw and platonic. They love you so much and would take so good care of you.
tw: sfw, fluff, agere, age regression, comfort.
Primo
Gentle, always patient. It’s healing, having him always willing to listen, always there to help you through big feelings when you’re small.
Sometimes when you’re feeling little and he has work to do, he’ll set out a blanket in the garden and lay out some toys, crayons and coloring books so he can both keep an eye on you and tend to his plants.
During the summer when it’s berry season he loves giving you your own basket and watching you run around picking berries and happily making excited noises.
A bit of a health nut. Expect lots of veggies and fruits. It’s okay though, he cuts them into cute little shapes and makes it fun.
Secondo
He can be firm and a little strict sometimes; he’s all about structure and routine. But he also knows how vulnerable you are when you’re little sometimes, how easy it is to upset you into thinking you’re not being good for him, that you’re disappoint him. So when you’re regressed, he’s so very gentle with you.
At first he’d just put some cartoons on and let you watch until you’re sleepy, but now he’ll sit you in his lap on the playmate and play with you. Sometimes he feels awkward but it makes you happy and that’s what counts for him.
Loves to spoil you, buys you all the toys and snacks you want because he doesn’t know restraint. If he has the money to spend and it makes you happy— then of course he’s gonna whip out his credit card any time you make those little puppy dog eyes at him.
Terzo
He's very attentive and always checking on how you are in your headspace. Works very hard on making sure your environment and time spent regressed is positive. Of course he knows that's not always the case, but he does his best to at least find ways to help or comfort you. Whether it be cuddling you to sleep, getting you snackies, or piling you with stuffies.
Best caretaker to play pretend-- he'll play any role you want and always makes it so much fun. Very dramatic.
Makes bath time fun-- lots of bath toys and washable bath tub fingerpaint. He'll sit with you in his large tub with you in his lap and help you wash your hair and get clean.
Makes meal time fun too. If you like airplanes, will airplane feed food to you even if you think it's too silly or embarrassing. As long as it makes you happy, he doesn't care. He puts happy faces with whipped cream and syrup on pancakes, has the cutest tupperware of your favorite cartoon characters.
Will tell you that you're special and perfect and that he loves taking care of you every chance he gets.
Copia
Stuffed animals galore. You have so many! A lot of them are gifts from Copia. He calls them your personal army of cuddle buddies and gives them funny little voices sometimes.
Enjoys cartoons just as much as you too. Lots of snuggle time while watching cartoons and happily sipping on juice together-- him from a juice box and yours from a sippy cup or a bottle (whichever you prefer).
Always very silly and loves to make you giggle and squeal with laughter whether it be tickling you, making silly shows with your stuffies, or telling you stories.
Sometimes has trouble being strict. He's so, so susceptible to your puppy dog eyes. You're just too cute for him!
Melts when you tell him he's the best papa or daddy in the whole wide world.
Will always reassure you if you need reassurance about regressing or if you're worried that you're too much trouble for him. You are not too much trouble for him, you are the perfect amount of trouble for him.

Tips for dysphoric kiddos for that time of the month
Hi kiddos! Many requested ways to not feel dysphoric and still being tiny so I'm gonna try my best to not use words that can trigger you and give you some tips! Hope they'll help you, remember that no matter what your brain says you're still valid and deserving of whatever you want okay?
- First if the word for that time of the month triggers you try to use something funny! I call mine the Shark Week! I pretend I survived a shark attack and I'm recovering from it!
- If The Shark week isn't for you try to imagine something like a battle or a fight where you won but got some injuries so that's why you feel sick and need to rest
- You can also play this scene during play time or in bed if you're feeling unwell, for example you're a brave knight that is fighting a dragon (a plushie or your cg) that can keep your mind busy and help you feel better!
- Another tip is to have a companion for that time of the month! For example you can pick a stuffie of your same gender and make them wear what you wear or you can make them "bleed" using crayons or something that is easily washable! So you'll feel less alone and your pain is now something you both share!
- For masculine/nonbinary kiddos you can also use boxers or double boxers to feel more cozy and less obligated to wear something else! Prioritize comfy clothes and things that make you feel gender euphoria! For example i wear my baggy pants and my mandalorian oversized t-shirt!
-Another tip is to redirect the pain to somewhere else in your body! If it's that time of the month I pretend I need to find the reason behind my pain, so I check different body parts like my legs or my forehead and cover them with kids bandaids! That helps me think that I'm feeling bad for something else
- Final tip rest! No matter what, you need to rest, in particular if you feel dysphoric too. Put some comfy clothes, drink something warm, watch your favorite shows or cartoons but try to prioritize your recovery! You fought well little knight now you need to recover okay?
I hope these tips helped you! They help me a lot during very bad dysphoric days, remember to stay safe and be gentle with yourself! I send you a big virtual hug!
Remember that you CAN like and reblog but you CAN'T repost even with credits or use the tag #mine!

Blue ink
For @wolfstarmicrofic
They learn very quickly that Harry will only draw, write, color, scribble excitedly on the walls, in blue. Blue crayons, blue markers, blue ink, blue chalk, as long as it's blue, he will use it.
They also learn very quickly which of Harry's many mediums are washable and of course, his favorites are very much not.
Which is how Remus and Sirius find themselves cross-legged on the floor, a bucket of foamy water between them, sponges and wands at the ready.
"Well I reckon the blue really compliments the wallpaper, eh Moony?"
Remus huffs a sigh, running his hand across the still-wet ink that Harry lovingly decorated the wall with when Sirius and he had stepped into the kitchen for "just a mo', Harry!"
And the artist, now soundly sleeping in his bed upstairs, had been so elated when they walked back into the room, grabbing their hands in earnest and directing them to take in his creation, little hands waving excitedly.
Harry had pointed out specific blue blobs, three to be exact, that, now upon second glance, Remus thinks, in some really very abstract way, could be their family.
"You know Pads, maybe we can leave it up for now, huh?"
Sirius looks over, meeting Remus' eyes with a soft smile.
"Yeah, you know Moony, I think Harry's added exactly what the living room was missing."

A Little Miracle
Summary: Aziraphale secretly visits Earth again.
Warning: Good Omens S2 spoilers.
▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎▪︎
For the first time in thousands of years, Aziraphale finds no pleasure in the food he's eating. Blandness and dullness—these are the only things he can feel at the moment. But it would be rude to decline Nina's hospitality, so Aziraphale tries his best to fake a smile, making sure to savour the eccles cake and tea Nina gave him for free.

"Are you sure Archangels can just, take a break, Mr. Fell?" Maggie asked Aziraphale, staring into the man's eyes with deep concern as she perched herself on the chair next to him.

"Ofcourse! I have some authority; I can do what I want! Well...I can't always do what I want...there are rules. I do what God wants! Yeah,  that's what, hmm, ahem, so!" He stops mid-sentence. Can't have himself questioning God again.

"How are you and Nina?" he asked Maggie, successfully changing the subject.

Maggie tries to hide the glee on her face; her small grin slowly turns into a wide, flustered smile. She leans in closer, excitedly telling the angel how she and Nina have started going on dates just this week. "I mean, I waited six months for her! Not that it was a task really; I would wait years for her, thousands of years in fact." She exclaims.

"Hmm. Thousands of years. How patient."

At this moment, Aziraphale finds himself distraught. Of course he's happy for the soon-to-be couple, but hearing those words...

How long did Crowley wait for me?
How long did I wait for him?

Aziraphale spent his whole afternoon in the coffee shop before saying goodbye to the pair. Nina gave him the most comforting hug. During the hug, Nina whispered in his ear, "Mister Crowley has been sleeping in his car parked in front of your, well, Muriels' bookshop. Everynight." She urged him to visit him.

He could only nod and smile, although he doesn't think he'd have the guts to follow through ("I'll think about it," he thought). Aziraphale ventures to the bookshop next.

He knocked on the door before opening it. A loud gasp echoed throughout the room. "Sir. Aziraphale!" Muriel stood there with her hands balled into cute little fists, which she excitedly shook. A loud thump came after she dropped the stack of books she was holding.

"Muriel...no, those are first... editions." He stumbles through his words, realizing that this is Muriel he's talking to. Aziraphale scans the entire room, seeking comfort in the familiarity of the place.

The chandelier seems intact. The books are properly dusted. The floor isn't dirty. The kid.

Kid?

Aziraphale took a step back. There is a kid scribbling away in his book. With crayons, markers, and everything. What, when-

"Muriel? My book? This kid?"

"It's erasable, sir! Don't worry, Mr. Crowley made sure all the art supplies are washable or erasable," Muriel proudly explains.

Aziraphale sauntered into the room. His eyes were directed only at Muriel. "Crowley?" he asked.

"Yes sir!"
"And this is whose kid?"
"Mr. Crowley's sir."

Aziraphale's stomach fell ill. Muriel can see the quiver of his lips; however, she does not comprehend what it means. He turns around, attempting to blink away tears. His?

"What do you mean?" Aziraphale turned in her direction again, staring at her eyes, hoping that she contradicts his thoughts. "Oh!" Muriel replies, giggling in the process. "He isn't technically his, sir. He's taking care of him."

Quite dramatically, Aziraphale puffed out a breath. As if he wasn't breathing the whole time. "Yeah, he said he found him on some street. Mr. Crowley said he's an orphan, whatever that is. " He reckoned that Crowley was not bothered enough to explain it to her.

He left the bookshop pretty soon. He made sure Muriel was adjusting well. Apparently, Crowley has been assisting her, explaining relevant human terms to her, and teaching her how to act like a convincing human. The whole time, his chest tightened. Every mention of his name drove him crazy.

To clear his mind, if that's even possible, he walked around the street. Inevitably, he ended up thinking about Crowley again.

Should I check on him? Should I talk to him? What would we even talk about?

He was so deep in his thoughts that he didn't realize it was already night, that he circled back to his bookshop, and that there was a familiar bentley in front of him.

"Oh, dear," he breathed out. He reluctantly walked closer to the car, sneakily peering through the window. Just in case he changes his mind about talking to him. As he did, he saw the most heartbreaking thing.

There in the car lay a scrawny redhead, sleeping soundly, clutching a piece of paper that seems to be a picture. Aziraphale noticed the picture he was holding. It was a picture of them during his magic show. He almost let out a small cry. Beside him was a container of travel sweets. On the back seat was the most horrid sight.

His potted plants were all rotting, dry, and...mushy? If you look even closer, you can see random bits of food being devoured by worms, ants, and bugs. The plants are barely alive; he can tell by the slight shiver they make every now and then.

Oh, Crowley, darling, what happened to you?

Aziraphale was about to knock at Crowley's car door, but before his knuckles reached the glass window, a blindingly bright light appeared behind him, and with it came an elevator 'ding'.

"Eugh."  he grumbled, already knowing what was going to happen.

"Sir. Aziraphale sir."
"Yes, yes. Leave; I'll be there." he said.

Aziraphale stared at Crowley one more time. Flicking his hand in the air for one miracle. Then he left for heaven.

The next day, Crowley wakes up. Miserable once again. He sits down and fixes himself through the rear-view mirror. "What in the..."
Crowley looks behind him in disbelief. His plants are alive, and their leaves are greener than ever. The bugs and worms are nowhere to be found, nor are the bits of food he throws in the backseat. His eyes turned watery before a stream of tears fell down his cheeks.

"Aziraphale."

Just out of curiouse, do you have any tips for beginner artists? I would really appreciate one
Of course! ^-^ I'm more than happy to help!
Let's see...without the ability to have a conversation, I'm not sure where exactly you are in skill level, so I guess I'll start with some basic quality-of-life tips.
General:
You don't have to go to college to get good at art. I didn't go to art school!
Watch youtube videos from good artists, or those you admire!
What kind of art do you ultimately want to produce? This isn't an instance of "I can only pick one thing", it's more like...each type of art requires different skills, and if you know ahead of time what you want to do FIRST, you can narrow down what you have to learn.
learn proper sketching and use of circles and other shapes to build the figure, don't just jump in making the final lines right away! It's not a "cheat", it's proper technique. It's "caring about your work".
Same for references. Google up some images of what you want to draw and look at them while you draw your own picture. It's not only okay, it's what professionals do. You need to train your EYE as well as your hand.
It's okay to mimic styles you like! But be aware that each artist may stretch or squish or exaggerate proportions to fit what they personally like to see. This is why it's IMPERATIVE that you learn realism alongside any manga style you want to try. Once you learn where the eyes sit on the face, the different facial planes and what bones they relate to, and different sizes and builds for the face, you can then manga them up to any style you want!
For real paper:
Use a protector sheet, or wear a glove on your drawing hand. You want to make sure you don't get graphite or colored pencil on the side of your hand, and then smear it on your drawing. Placing a piece of paper under your hand will protect your work!
Don't touch your art with your fingertips. Fingertips have oil and gunk on them, and will smudge your drawing. (If you're working with charcoal, this could work to your advantage! But you're probably not using charcoal. It's messy and usually limited to college art students.)
Get the right tools! You can buy a small eraser set in the art section of Wal-Mart for like $3 -- it has a polymer eraser, a smaller white eraser, and the all-important KNEADED ERASER. This thing can be squished and torn apart and it'll pick up graphite like a champ! Do not bother with hard pink erasers, they're trash.
You don't need special paper to learn. I used to draw on the backs of my dad's extra math photocopy papers. Copy paper is smooth and not too fussy and I like it. "Sketch pads" usually have a rougher grain, and I hate the way the paper feels. Also there's a lot of ugly white spots when you try to shade or use colored pencils. Only use that if you're keeping a cute little book or using pastel crayons or something (or it's all you have). Don't fuss over it too much while you're learning. It won't make much difference until you're ready to specialize!
Blending stumps are cool and even pros use them.
Get a small electric pencil sharpener. They're less than $10 at places like Dollar General, and those stores are literally everywhere.
If you get a manual sharpener in an "art set", that's fine, too, but it hurts my hand to do it manually. I like the ones that have little covers.
It DOES matter what kind of ink pen you use. Gel pens will smear. Most markers are washable, and you better believe they will run at the first hint of moisture. India Ink also smears and runs with water. I recommend Sakura Micron pens, Zig Mangaka pens, or my favorite --- the Kuretaki Bimoji felt tip brush pen. You can get all that on Amazon, and it's like $6. I got the superfine tip.
LET YOUR INK DRY BEFORE YOU PUT MARKERS OR WATERCOLOR OR ANYTHING AT ALL OVER IT. It takes maybe 20 minutes.
If you don't plan to color it, you CAN draw with a ball point pen and it'll look just fine.
Do a tiny little water streak test with any markers you plan to use with watercolor. Just brush a tiny bit of water over the mark after it's dry to see if it bleeds. I use that bleed to my advantage sometimes, but you just gotta be aware of what's what.
Digital:
You can buy a small, cheap tablet from HUION for less than $40. MAKE THE INVESTMENT. IT'S WORTH IT.
Clip Studio Paint is EXCELLENT. Well worth the $50-$60 price tag. I think you can try it before you buy it, too. It gives you access to the Asset Store -- which is the single greatest artistic sharing tool I have EVER seen, and I've used SAI for ...probably a decade... I've used dozens of custom brushes and even made my own, and I just can't even believe what is available with CSP. Do yourself a favor and get it.
"But I can't use a tablet! I can't look at a screen while I draw!" Yes you can. YES you can. Yes you can, if you'll just try it. "but I tried once and it didn't work" Well YEAH, if you only tried a handful of times, OF COURSE it didn't work. Do you know what practice is? HUION screen tablets are over $300!!!!! Do you have that kind of disposable income lyin around? (plz donate some to me if you do lololjk =u=; )
Start saving a folder full of refs.
Ask people to tell you what to draw. Let them request something for free. This makes you draw things you wouldn't normally draw, and there is INCREDIBLE value in stepping outside of your comfort zone. You will level up in no time.
Whew...that covers most of the basics, I think. If you have something specific you want me to go into more detail on, please let me know! I love helping ;w;

Babie! Rohan Kishibe headcanons
🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈
For starters I think he’d be a bit bratty, from Thus Spoken Rohan Kishibe there’s a scene where one of the characters say that she thinks Rohan acts like he’s better than everyone, and I think that’s why he’d be a bit bratty
🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈
*Rohan currently drawing a couple of puppies* “pubbieess” Rohan babbles out
“Wow baby! Such cute little doggies! Just like you! But I’m sorry times up kiddo” Goes his CG (imagine this as anyone you want sorry)
“nooooooo..!” whines Rohan “don’ wanaaaaa!”
“Come on baby, it’s almost bed time and I told you to get ready for bed ages ago!” CG says
“No! No! No! I don wana! I do wha I wan!” Rohan whines out, CG sighs and says “Alright, alright, if you get ready for bed I’ll let you draw a little bit more before bed” “Otay!” Rohan says before running out the room to start brushing his teeth. “My goodness… What will a do with him?..” CG chuckles out.
🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈
Next, he’d obviously have any sort of craft or art toy. Like the washable markers from crayola or I think he’d especially have the bathroom crayons. And honestly he’d have the invisible paint that like only appears on paper if anyone remembers when that came out.
🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈
Tumblr media
🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈
I don’t really know much about rohan but I’d assume his favorite color would be green or maybe any cool color (blue, purple, like that) and that’d lead to him having maybe a green paci, sippy, etc etc. And maybe even a little frog stuffie he brings with him everywhere and when I say everywhere I mean EVERYWHERE.
🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈
“Alright Rohan! Come on hurry up we have to go!” CG yells out looking for their little one.
Meanwhile Rohan’s trying to look for Hoppers, “Ughhh! Where is he!!” Rohan starts throwing his blankie off his bed and messing up the room for his frog stuffie Hoppers. CG walks in and look around in disbelief. “Rohan! What do you think your doing?!” CG grabs Rohan from behind and holds him up. Rohan starts flailing around with tears in his eyes “I can’t find Hoppers!” Rohan says in a wobbly tone. “Then tell me baby, don’t start tearing up the room” CG says with a soft look in their eyes, as they put Rohan down “Where did you last see him honey?” Rohan catches his breath in order to calm down, “I had him when I was eeping an an now he not here!” Rohan says panicked “Well then let’s check underneath the bed then, maybe he hopped out of bed” CG says as they get down to check, “There he is! Rohan look!” Rohan walks over and gets down to see what his CG was looking at. He lets out a gasp “Hopper!” He says excitedly as he grabs Hopper from underneath the bed and hugs him tightly. “I thought you were missing!” CG smiles “Alright kiddo, let’s go now we’re about to be late!” As CG grabs him by the hand and starts walking out of the house.
🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈🍈
Hi! I hope you guys liked these headcanons, hopefully they’re not ooc by that much! Have a goodnight/day xoxo - Espurr <3

Advent Day V ~ It's Beginning to Look @corinnebaileyrp
With the lights dimmed and the doors locked anyone with half a brain would notice that the shop is closed but it doesn't stop Beth from gently tapping on the glass. The night is cold but she stamps her booted feet and seems momentarily delighted by the dampness in the air. Maybe in the next couple of days there will be snow. Or at the very least rain. Which on glass might turn into the very same lacy patterns she hopes to flock onto the insides of Cory's windows. At her feet is a suitcase roughly her same size that has stencils she's made, white paint with an assortment of pigment dyes in both glitter and non glitter, making tape, newspapers, everything she could think of to bring with her. Even tiny brushes and washable wall-crayons. Tonight is just the two of them and they're going to decorate the shop for the holidays. Cory lets her in with that glowing smile of hers and Beth can't help but throw her arms around her friend's neck with a girlish glee and kisses her cheek. Beth feels a little like ice but she'll live. The shop itself is warm and the smell of proofing bread and the day's pastries wafts toward her on a cloud of steam from a freshly brewing pot of coffee for them. Can Beth smell the difference between beans? Absolutely. Is Cory making them a pot of Jamaican Blue Mountain as a splurge, absolutely yes. And the little nurse is truly grateful. "Dat smell so sexy, I might change religion," she murmurs almost under her breath and is rewarded by the laugh Cory bestows on her. They both know Andy would have a lot to unpack with that statement and they spend a few moments mocking the missing man. They make quick work of covering the tables and floors so any mess makes for easy recycling. Cory has some ornaments and ribbons to make wreaths. And a gorgeously curated instrumental playlist. She tells Beth she's glad for the company, thanks her for the help and Beth nods. Cory knows she could just as easily do this with her fantastic employees but this is more personal. Beth knows she's an artist who doesn't share her work with many. Sometimes she wonders if Andy knows about Cory's sketchbooks. No real fault of his if he doesn't. Just makes the secret shared all that much more special in Beth's mind.
Cory works on the first wreath while Beth paints blue-white snow-drifts on the first window. "It was Christmas Eve, Babe In the drunk tank An old man said to me, won't see another one And then he sang a song…" Beth belts away, though she isn't half the musician that her brother is, but she stops and turns and raises a brow when Cory picks up where she left off. They take turns, until the last verse and suddenly both women are arm in arm, serenading the shop. "...The boys of the NYPD choir Still singing Galway Bay And the bells are ringing out For Christmas day."

🎨 BABY REGRESSOR! ROHAN
• Rohan regresses to relax! This dude hardly ever takes the time to slow down. Regression definitely helps to take time for himself and his mental health once in awhile.
• Although his brash stubbornness doesn’t disappear when tiny, but it’s much more in a baby fashion. Throwing his arms, kicking his legs, or telling everything “no!” for little reason. He will tell a chair “no” just because it’s standing there. It’s more a playful grumpy mood then anything. He’s just having an odd good time - he may be staring at you weirdly, but trust me, he’s happy!
• Also “no” is just the word he uses for everything, it’s his favorite. Even if he’s nodding his head yes to something, he will say no instead. Just because it’s more fun then saying yes.
• “Do you want some apples?”
Rohan, reaching out for the bowl while nodding. “No!”
• He does not let his fashion sense go, even in little clothes. Watch him have the fanciest and nicest onesies you’ve ever seen. He prides himself on being comfy, and looking great.
• His favorite toys are ones that make him think - things like stacking rings or shape sorting boxes. Just anything he has to figure out how to play with!
• Does he figure out these toys half the time? Nope. He’ll end up giving up and playing with them a different way. Mostly just throwing them or trying to eat them. But at least he’s enjoying himself!
• Also, yes, he tries to EAT his toys. He doesn’t just chew on them when he puts things in his mouth, he decides he wants to try and eat them.
• His paci is a way to prevent him from eating his belongings. He chews on that instead, so it keeps the urge of wanting to eat things at bay.
• Also he’s gone through a pile of pacis at this point. He’s very rough and never sucks on them, only chews, so overtime they break. But he keeps every single one, he’s connected to them all in his odd lil way.
• Despite his young regression age, he still loves art. He really likes coloring books, paints, and those washable crayons you can use in the bathtub! If he’s whining just give him a coloring book and a marker and he’ll be fine for many hours.
• but… It’s totally 50/50 whether or not he’s gonna put a crayon in his mouth though. And try to eat it. You just gotta watch him.
• Number one comfort item is this really big, fluffy blanket he was. It’s always around when he’s tiny - sometimes laid out on the floor, sometimes wrapped around him, or he’s dragging it around as he crawls. Tripping hazard? definitely, but this little guy doesn’t cry easily if he falls.
• Not having this blanket is the only thing to bring him to tears. Poor thing will just sob without it, nothing can calm him unless he sees it in his sights again.
• His regression is super private .. at first anyways. Because of his eating habits it’s no surprise he needs looking after on a few things. He just never knew anyone to discuss it with. A bit of backstory - he tends to visit Reimi anytime he can, and she eventually picked on certain mannerisms she remembered when he was young. She questioned him, eventually he was comfortable enough to explain his age regression. Reimi would help as much as she could as… well, a ghost. But soon convinced him to find someone to look after him, and to meet other people who understood it. “It would be good for you.” She’d say, and unfortunately Rohan knew she was right.
• The power of online communities can be a great thing. He gained a tiny circle to talk about agere topics with, and of course met caregivers as well. And though he’d never admit it out loud.. it was nice to know he wasn’t alone.
• He’s met with many people in person interested in being a caregiver. But they never really stayed. Rohan left them all on good terms, none of them just really clicked together with a nice connection. Nothing wrong with that, some things don’t work out. And he knows he’s a particular baby. He’s just waiting for that right person, he’s patient enough. And he’s perfect content with regressing alone. He doesn’t need someone immediately to enjoy his relaxation time.

A New Tradition
Written For: @madwomanlexie
Title: A New Tradition Author: @tigereyes45 Rating: G (Maybe a T rating due to the joke at the very end.) Summary: Carol and Daryl host a party for a new yearly tradition. A/N: It's vague on the holiday on purpose. Also I love the idea that they're Aunt Carol and Uncle Daryl to all the kids.
While Carol wrestled with the dishes in her domain, Daryl found himself more or less in control of the gaggle of kids taking over their living room. He tried to give them each a different task to do. Something productive, or at least energy consuming. However, as children often do, they weren't really staying on task. Judith attempted to bark orders at a few of the other kids to keep them in line, and help, as Socorro climbed his leg. As Coco swings herself from Daryl's outstretched arm, he carefully attempts to catch her.
Nabila and Aliyah distract themselves by using the crayons he had give to draw on the wall under the stairs. Jerry, Gabriel, and Nabila were out catching back up with old friends before the party would truly begin.
RJ has taken to putting pinecones and cinnamon sticks on the windows. He liked the way they smelled, and decided the whole house should smell like it for the house party. Carol didn't mind it, and gave the go ahead. Which now means the little punks is constantly moving the eight pinecones and half a dozen cinnamon sticks he grabbed from window to window. As Rj walks away from his latest pile, Daryl moves over to it. He lifts Coco up onto his shoulder, as he picks up a wash rag, Carol uses for dusting, and resets Rj's offerings on top of it.
Gracie was given permission to stay the night with Judith and Rj. Aaron was unable to make it to the party due to patrols. Daryl half expected him to just keep Gracie in Alexandria then, but apparently she had begged and pleaded. Now she stands at Judith's side, copying the other girl's lead and leading the younger kiddos. As she picks Nabila up, Aliyah screeches for her to put her sister down, splashing some washable paint across her face.
Gracie carefully sets Nabila back down as Judith shouts to stop throwing paint. Daryl sighs, and pulls Coco off of him. As he crosses the room, Gracie dips all five of her fingers into the blue paint, and splashes Aliyah and Judith's face. "On the wall! The wall!" Daryl attempts to be heard over the screaming utterly fail as the girls take off chasing each other through the house. By the end of their second round through the yelling was over, and giggling had replaced it. Paint and crayons were no longer just on the wall, but absolutely everywhere on the floor. Thankfully the girls seemed to know well enough to not flick any paint about, when near the photographs.
He would hate to see the expression on Carol's face if they ruined Rj's and Judith's school photos. "It's good to see them acting their age."
Willing himself not to react to Carol's sudden words, Daryl pretends to be completely calm. "Yeah." He crosses his arms as the girls run past them. "It's good for 'em."
Carol loops her arms around Daryl's. "It's good for you too."
He glances down at her before looking away. Rubbing his thumb across the end of his nose, he fails to hid his smile. "Yeah." Daryl gestures towards the kitchen with his chin. Always quick to change the subject. "What are you cooking this year? It smells delicious."
"Well aren't you a charmer." Carol teases as she squeezes his arm against her. Gently she tugs on it, leading him to the kitchen. Daryl resists a little, letting her walk him to the threshold, but refusing to step out of the living room. "They'll be fine. It'll take two minutes."
True to her word, Carol makes sure to point out the litany of side dishes an deserts she has been preparing for the last three days. She had pecan, pumpkin, and apple pies made out and spread around. A cheesecake like dish that had her fresh, handmade cranberries topping. There were baked pork chops, a whole ham that glistens from the sugar, and honey she had added to the glaze. A smaller, but just as juicy turkey sits, partially carved up already. That was probably to help the younger kiddos get their meals. Bacon was cooling next to the stove, with a green bean casserole sitting on top of it. Fried onions, baked beans, and toast spread on a long plate with an entire assortment of jams behind it.
"Think it's enough for the party tonight?"
He nods as his eyes continue to take in the sight. For too long he stood there, smelling the food. He knows that thanks to the loud growling from his stomach. The fish he had filleted earlier was typically enough to keep him going for a whole day and a half. Too bad it's nothing in the face of such a feast. "It looks good."
Carol shoots him a knowing smile. Her lips open for a moment. He waits for her teasing. Instead she presses them back shut and turns to the sink to wash her hands. "I know some of the others will be bringing their own dishes to add, but I figured it's better to be over prepared, then under."
"Did you take all the extra rations?"
"Perks of being in charge," she jokes with a wink. At least, he hopes it's just a joke.
"Shouldn't these be for the new holiday party?"
"Eh, that's tomorrow. I'll make a few extra side dishes tonight." She waves the idea away as if it's not a worthwhile concern. "This is just for us," Running a finger along a dirty bowl on top of her little pile of dishes in the sink, she collects a decent amount of cheesecake filling. Daryl waits patiently for her to put it on his nose. Just like always. "and our own little celebration." Smooth cream covers the tip of his nose. Carol rolls her eyes at his total lack of a reaction. He smiles at her, wipes the cream off, and looks back at the food.
It wasn't exactly Christmas. This little gathering of theirs wasn't really anything that special. It was a party Carol enjoys throwing before the Commonwealth's end of year celebrations. If anything it was just as much a new years gathering as it was a Christmas or Yuletide party. One big bash to cope with the middle of winter. Who knows if they'll ever see another.
That thought pulls his eyes away from the food to the framed photos and drawings on the wall. Rosita, Carl, Glenn, everyone they lost and had photos of, or someone who knew what they looked like and could draw them. The living go up in the rest of the house, but the head are posted up in her kitchen. She had settled in.
Good. He'll have to leave again soon, but it's clear that she's found herself here. Carol turns back to the sink. He wraps his arms around her waist, pressing his head against the back of her left shoulder.
The front door opens. Jerry's voice carries throughout the house, as the children cheer. Now that the rest of the guests were finally here the party will really begin with all the cut out snowflakes, pinecones, and newly painted walls setting the feeling of being home. "Our guests are here." Carol points out, sweetly patting the top of his head. He groans, and presses his forehead deeper into her shoulder. They stand there like that, gently rocking back and forth on their feet. One of Carol's hands on Daryl's head and the other resting on top of his. He pulls her closer against him.
"Don't look Rj!" Judith orders, as Jerry laughs.
"Okay kiddos, they're still cooking in there. Let's focus on clean up." A cry of boos, and oh mans fly out of the living room. Daryl smiles into Carol's shoulder. She lifts his hands to plant a kiss on each of them.
As he pulls away, his hands feel cold without her warmth. She spins around, and quickly cups his cheeks. "So, do you wanna fool around." The smirk on her face betrays her joke.
Daryl rolls his eyes before pulling his face out of her grasp. With a pointed finger he says, "That's still not funny." He grabs an dark red apple out of the fruit basket from beside her.
Carol laughs and playfully pushes him away. "Who says I'm not serious?"
Biting into the red apple he says, "Maybe after the guests are all gone."
"I think I'd like making that a part of our new holidays tradition." She wraps her arms back around his free one. "Come on big guy, time to eat and reminisce."
“Aunt Carol is the food ready?” Rj asks excitedly, hands covered in bits of cinnamon.
