it is all chaos and entropy. the thing is that the chaos and entropy make it beautiful and lovely.
yes, it's true that nature and the universe are uncaring and unspecific, and that is terrifying. i have lived through some of the unfairness - i got born like this, with my body caving into itself, with this ironic love of dance when i sometimes can't stand up for longer than 15 minutes. i am a poet with hands that are slowly shutting down - i can't hold a pen some days. recently i found a dead bird on our front porch. she had no visible injuries. she had just died, the way things die sometimes.
it is also true that nature and the universe are uncaring and unspecific, and that is wonderful. the sheer happenstance that makes rain turn into a rainbow. the impossible coincidence of finding your best friend. i have made so many mistakes and i have let myself down and i have harmed other people by accident. nature moves anyway. on the worst day of my life she delivers me an orange juice sunset, as if she is saying try again tomorrow.
how vast and unknowing the universe! how small we are! isn't that lovely. the universe has given us flowers and harp strings and the shape of clouds. how massive our lives are in comparison to a grasshopper. the world so bright, still undiscovered. even after 30 years of being on this earth, i learned about a new type of animal today: the dhole.
chance echoing in my life like a harmony between two people talking. do you think you and i, living in different worlds but connected through the internet - do you think we've ever seen the same butterfly? they migrate thousands of miles. it's possible, right?
how beautiful the ways we fill the vastness of space. i love that when large amounts of people are applauding in a room, they all start clapping at the same time. i love that the ocean reminds us of our mother's heartbeat. i love that out of all the colors, chlorophyll chose green. i love the coincidences. i love the places where science says i don't know, but it just happens.
"the universe doesn't care about you!" oh, i know. that's okay. i care about the universe. i will put my big stupid heart out into it and watch the universe feast on it. it is not painful. it is strange - the more love you pour into the unfeeling world, the more it feels the world loves you in return. i know it's confirmation bias. i think i'm okay if my proof of kindness is just my own body and my own spirit.
i buried the bird from our porch deep in the woods. that same day, an old friend reaches out to me and says i miss you. wherever you go, no matter how bad it gets - you try to do good.

I love it when women hate men. I love it when women are allowed to vent to each other about how horrible and creepy men are. I love it when women form friendships with and prioritize each other over relationships with men(whether they're attracted to them or not). I love it when women put men dni in their bios and on their nude photos and on posts on their blogs. I love it when women refuse to mollycoddle and accommodate entitled male feelings with "but this doesn't mean I hate all men, I know a few men who are great, I love my father/sons/brothers/uncles/male cousins/guy friends" I love it when women complain about men WITHOUT "not all men" being a disclaimer. I love it when women avoid socializing with/refuse to be around/befriend/get close to men because they know men can't be trusted. I love it when women make "kill all men" jokes. I love it when women offer absolutely no concern or care for men's feelings and if their misandry offends men whatsoever because why should we, men are the oppressor class who have raped and killed and abused us and kept us as subjugated as second-class citizens for millennia, they regularly mistreat us and the women in their own marginalized communities still every single day and make this world so much harder and more awful for us to be in, and if we choose to hate them and not spare them any sympathy then so be it, and I don't just mean "men as a class" either, you can be a woman who doesn't want to have anything to do with any man on an individual basis and completely cuts off men from her personal life too and ykw I will love and fucking support you in that because men deserve absolutely NOTHING from us. If they're so tough and strong then they can handle it just like they can handle being lonely. If you are a woman who hates men, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A LESBIAN AND/OR A TRANS WOMAN, then just know that I love you. I love you, I support you, and you are safe here.

Doms who get all stupid and needy the second they see their sub ready and willing for them send tweet 😤😤😤
Doms who want to tease, want to draw it out, ask their subs to put on a show and prove why they deserve to be played with…. Only to feel their brain fry at how sweetly their submissive obeys, offering themselves so enthusiastically, so completely, looking so irresistible and perfect…
Doms who melt into their subs with a groan or a whine, their sub reassuring them gently that it’s okay if they need it right now, if they want to skip the teasing because they can’t wait and want to claim their submissive, want to hold them and make love to them…. I love doms who get flustered for their pretty subs because they’re impatient and want to feel them now.

genuinely admire those who were optimistic for dishonored 3 but in this videogame industry climate and [insert a 4hr video essay about arkane's recent history here], honestly, not getting dh3 is good news

commence random rambling
i like to imagine that Childe has a phase in between his human form and Foul Legacy, where he’s mostly still humanoid but has traits of the Abyss here and there. it’s what happens when he wants to transform back to his human form, but doesn’t have enough energy to, so he gets stuck as neither Foul Legacy nor Childe. i also think this eventually becomes his base “human” form as the influence of the Abyss infects him more and more.
this “in between” form looks mostly like normal Childe, but with a few differences:
- he’s a bit taller than his human self
- has a small pair of red horns on his head
- the scelera of his eyes are black (he’s actually blind in one of them)
- fangs. sharp teef
- claw-like nails
- can speak, but it’s interspersed with hisses and growls
- bits of purple and black armor peek out from underneath his skin, most of all on his cheeks
- his hair has white tips
- pointed ears
this form isn’t as difficult to maintain as his full human form, so before Childe falls entirely to Foul Legacy, he uses it to tell you that he loves you, and to kiss you, and to tell you that he’s so sorry for always being away on business, hugging you tightly before his strength falters and he returns to being a monster once again.

My thoughts on this are a little fuzzy, but it's a sort of AI-fucks-up-the-world scenario that I call The Cacaphony. And I just wanted to share what it could look like.
Imagine a world where the chatbots have gotten good enough that it takes 10 minutes for the average person to spot them. We're getting there already. Once that happens, companies and governments will start releasing instances of these things onto forums to try and push their products and ideologies.
Now imagine that these bots are cheap. Less than $500 a year kind of cheap. Suddenly, you're reaching into an online space where you know that humans are outnumbered.
What happens then? Do we see the rise of a twitter blue-checkmark system for every single social media site? Do we see large platforms break irreparably in favor of small isolated discord cliques?
I don't know. It fascinates me. I can see some sites that just absolutely would never be able to survive. Reddit and 4chan would be obliterated. Twitter would die unless it went back to its old blue checkmark system - and even then, the only people that would ever be taken seriously would be the blue checks. Even tumblr would find itself in a tough position. Imagine how many fewer people you would follow and reblog if you had to spend 10+ minutes checking them to make sure that they were absolutely a real person. Imagine a tumblr where self-doxing started to become the norm. There would be a set point where the site just crystallizes, and it would basically never recover from it.
It boggles me, to see companies that would get rekt by this scenario pouring money into making it happen. Twitter should not want The Cacaphony. Nor should Reddit. Nor should Google, if we're being honest. And yet each of them lines up to cheerfully sharpen the sword that will one day strike them down.

hey!! i just wanted to come on here quickly and say i absolutely adore your art!! i was scrolling through the sebastian sallow x mc tag and found your artwork, and am about to starting reading your story on ao3! you’re super talented!!! and i look forward to reading your story and seeing more art from you <3
AW TYSM!! im glad you found / like my art, and i hope you end up liking my fic as well!👉👈💖💖💖
Y'ALL......im so glad u like my art and also my fic so much😭😭im honoured to be your fav, ty for the support and such high praise....and u are so right about the slytherin/ravenclaw dynamic. surprisingly i never really thought about the dynamic much before HL cause i was mostly focused on gryffindor/gryffindor or gryffindor/slytherin (ive never actually read any HP or HL fanfics, but i was always a romione shipper, and although i never dabbled, i was always interested in dramione/considered reading fics about them), but yess the slytherclaw dynamic just suits the MC/HL so much, especially with seb and his own personal quest for knowledge regarding anne's cure, like u said
(also about your second ask, im glad u also enjoyed my ominis oneshot!! as for the nsfw idea.......👀👀....consider it noted👀( and even if i dont draw them im ALWAYS down to get some nsfw ideas or just ideas in general for either seb/clora OR ominis/MC. u never know what can spark inspiration😏)
TY AGAIN🙏🙏🙏

something that pisses me off in RA is that Flanagan will occasionally hype up Pauline as this super important and prominent figure in Will’s life, even treat her as a proxy for the mother he never knew, and yet will just refuse to show it beyond the like. two or three (personal) conversations that they have in canon. I get that he was attempting to make her an important person in Will’s life but why not do that by actually making her an important person in Will’s life

I have truly never seen so much discourse for a hero/anti-hero that kills until I started liking jason todd. I have literally never seen so many people get hate for not condemning a fictional character who kills bad guys until now its shocking! and I mean that literally
maybe I’m the one missing something but there are plenty of heroes (not antiheroes but HEROES) who exist that choose a lethal method and people take that in stride? the only way I can make sense of this is that people are so attached to batman and his mythos; they literally imprint on him and his thinking ?? and now any slight against him or challenge against his righteousness is taken as if its a slight against them.
at the end of the day, to me, you can still support jason being lethal because the fictional characters hes killing aren’t actually dead. in this sense, specifically, I don’t see why real life morals should be applied to a comic world. he’s not killing out of bigotry and if he was, I would get the controversy! but if you can agree with brutally beating and invasions of privacy in the dcu because it’s “morally correct” within the universe, I can’t see an argument against jason’s methods being morally wrong as valid unless those views are applied to every aspect of batman comics. if we did that, then everyone who continued reading these comics would be getting the same treatment jason todd fans do. you cannot hold one character accountable to real life moral views and not the other(s)!

We screech and we laugh and we make gifs. But have you considered how utterly excruciating it is to realise that the one person you trusted to have your back, doesn't? That in the end, for whatever reason, they did not choose you?
If they ever want to be together, an apology dance is so far from being enough it's heartbreaking. Somehow, they need to process their emotions. They need to re-establish a trust that's been broken. They need to convince one another that, given another choice, they would put Us first.
