I Have Found A Solution!

So, obviously classic wizard robes aren’t wheelchair friendly. (Alright, admittedly this isn’t common knowledge and also this definitely isn’t a problem for most but listen, this is a problem for me and I’m pleased to present a solution for it nonetheless.)

The issue is in the sleeves and the length of the robes. The traditional trumpet style allows them to get snagged, dirty, and caught in the wheels.

This is distinctly not an issue with other mobility aids such as canes and crutches, these wizards are fine to carry on with their trumpet sleeves simply rolled up if needed.

Now, one solution might simply to shorten the sleeves and hem to be out of the way, but that looks rather silly so I won’t do that. Instead I propose the more elegant design of a hanging sleeve to maintain that flowy magical feel while allowing for better range of motion.

Honestly I just love the look of hanging sleeves in general and think more people should appreciate them, wheelchair user or not.

A disabled wizard that instead of using a wheel chair has a throne that ambulates using a set of crab legs, and as a bonus it also has the crab claws in front to help grab things that are low to the ground. She is a master of the shoreline and is not afraid to clamp hard onto the ankles of those that oppose her.

Picture if you will, the most beautiful ethereal man you ever seen walking up to your seafood stand. Ordering the challenge meal giant clam, big enough to feed a family of 4-6. every time i see someone draw or write scar with a cane without any consideration of why or how he's using that cane and it's clear that it's not a thoughtful character trait but an ~equivalent aesthetic replacement~ for his wheelchair, i take a bite out of this table

Crevice is a wizard of ill renown. He makes his keep through his keen sense of smell, which is able to sniff out magic and track down even the most elusive sorcerers. Its a lucrative business n he has no qualms about bringing ruin onto fellow magic users. May in fact have a personal vendetta against a certain wizard(and his apprentices) hes trying to track down, too. Was once imprisoned by said wizard for possibly hundreds of years and he hasn't exactly forgiven the guy for it. Crevice is dangerous and hard to stand for extended periods of time, largely due to his intense misandry and frequent discussions of various violent acts he'd love to enact on both you and himself or you on him. Has great mastery of the scythe and the sickle, rarely resorting to showing his own magic to outsiders.

Funny guy whom I kinda still wanna make more of a world for. Something Mad Max-y, Conan The Barbarian-y, fetishistic ultraviolent psychosexual like. You know the type. Even got some ideas for how the magic system works! Kinda makes the whole spellcasting thing function like a shark tank pitch - its good stuff.

Update: ambulance turned up at 9:30am(wild), hospital turned me away, went to a different one, got my favourite jeans ripped, got manhandled because I physically couldn't move, got my knee put back into place, went home exactly 24 hours after I initially dislocated it

#also I slept in a BED last night which was brilliant because I had to sleep in a wheelchair by the front door #but now I hobble like a fucked up wizard

Leaning against the wall in wait for Healer Montgomery to attend to him, he watched the members of wizarding society go about their day at St. Mungo´s. I saw a headcanon a while ago about Rincewind needing a wheelchair when he gets older after all the hell his poor body's been through, and I'm thinking about it again. Imagining decades into the future, us being the new chaotic old gay uncles of the university.

Rincewind was very enthusiastic about the speed he got back along with his shiny new wheelchair. He might not be able to run away any more, but now he can wheel away at a comparable speed now, and if he gets Mr Modo to fit it with big chunky tyres then he should get a decent turn of speed across rough ground too.

There were, however, a few teething troubles. The worst one was definitely the genius idea by the students to get some reigns and try to train the Luggage as a sort of sled dog. Then there was the long empty corridor that reawakened our youthful goofiness. We decided to see just how fast the chair can go, with me pushing and Rince wheeling. I hopped onto the back and flipped the bloody thing backwards. Still less of a disaster than the Luggage Incident.

Then there were the problems arising from living in the same space as so many planet sized egos. A wizard doesn't look where he's going because he expects the world to move out of his way. This was solved fairly easily by the addition of some sturdier metal bar to the footplate and a small horn. After several bruised shins people learned to get out of his bloody way.

The harder to solve problem was that of people Wanting To Be Helpful and pushing Rincewind's wheelchair without warning or permission. Swearing and my own sporadic violence against the perpetrators didn't have much effect. Fortunately, Professor Turnipseed really came through for us and rigged up a "diney-mo" connecting the wheels to power what was functionally a small cattle prod. Turns out condescending ableism is one thing that can be cured by electric shock therapy.

Reasoning of colors and symbols:

Inspired by the user r/asparagas on the Stardew Reddit from 8 years ago, Abigal and Penny were determined to be the base or around 5'0''

SO! I used them as the base eye level

I couldn't wrap my head around the previous person's reasoning and math so I changed the way to read the height

I use the shoulders as an indicator and eye level sometimes to decide who is taller than who, flawed but I think it gets the idea across!

(+) Exceptions and odd sprites :

Clint- his shoulders are one pixel shorter than Elliott (slouched) BUT has taller eyes and is closer to Harvey in head shape height

Wizard (M. Rasmodius)- It can be argued that the Wizard may be slightly shorter than Sam because the coat makes it hard to read where the shoulder starts

Shane- It can be argued that he is taller than Sebastian because of his sprite and nose location but he might also just be squinting, idk

Lewis- Low shoulders but his head is HUGE and his hat makes him look tall

Gus- his sprite looks slightly down (the ears are highly placed) so it can be argued he is slightly taller than Emily

Linus- his eyes are tall but it is very hard to tell where his shoulders start

Caroline- her shoulders are the same as Jodi but her neck is taller than her BUT she also has a small head, it can be argued Jodi looks tall because of her hair

George- he is in a wheelchair and is at a down-looking angle so he may be shorter

Krobus- used their lower eye instead of the higher one for height reference number

Like I stated before, the previous person from 8 years ago actually did the math to get actual height numbers but sadly that's not my strength
