#yagi is a villain who is also trying to fight off AFO

For the five ask game:

How about an au where Izuku had a quirk, a great quirk in fact, but AFO stole it? So he does the logical thing and seeks out All Might to warn him about this quirk stealing theif!

1- Izuku's got a very nice regeneration quirk. He's going to be a hero with it, and is very excited

2- when Izuku's eleven, he is woken up to a hand on his forehead and a pain in his chest. He opens his eyes and sees it's not Inko, but the dark, tall figure just puts their finger over their mouth, and Izuku can't speak or shout for help. There's a tugging feeling, and then a wave of exhaustion hits him. He struggles to keep his eyes open as the figure disappears, saying it's just a nightmare.

3- Izuku would have thought it was one too, except three days later when he and Katsuki are training, he gets injured and it doesn't go away. Izuku waves off katsuki's questions that he was just trying a different fuel for his quirk to see if other food worked (they determined years ago that Izuku healed the fastest after eating katsudon) and heads home. Then he immediately starts researching to figure out how a villain stole his quirk, because he knows that's what happened, he can't feel his quirk at all anymore

4- it takes a while to figure out what he can on All For One, and then to figure out what to do about it. People don't believe that his quirk doesn't work anymore, and he knows they won't believe that someone stole it. So he needs to find the right hero to ask, but also to be careful, because he doesn't want the hero to lose their quirk either. All Might, who never loses anything, is the clear answer. But it's nearly impossible to reach him, and Izuku finally shows his frustration when stopped by another person clearly trying to get him out of Might Tower's lobby. Yagi-san is polite as he introduces himself and asks what's wrong, and Izuku tells him everything - that his quirk was stolen and Yagi won't believe him either, so what's the point. But Yagi looks at him differently then, and says he does. He listens to Izuku tell about the villain who took his quirk at night, and agrees that it sounds like AfO. Then he apologizes, because All Might can't get his quirk back for him. Izuku says he already expected that, he just wanted to warn and help other people. Yagi then says it's because AfO is dead- All Might already fight him, and he died, a few years ago. So he's very sorry, but at least no one else is in danger, and it was very brave of Izuku to come all this way to try and help

But then Izuku frowns, and tells Yagi that his quirk was stolen last year.

5- Izuku finds himself in a room in the Tower in a blur, waiting for a hero escort to bring his mother and someone named detective Tsukauchi to ask him more questions, but he already told All Might and All Might believed him and thanked him and patted his shoulder- but his smile had actually faltered when Izuku told him what his stolen quirk was, and now he's just waiting, unaware that before Tsukauchi came into the room, All Might handed him an envelope with a piece of his hair and a letter of explanation and apology, and told him to give it to Izuku to make his own choice if All Might doesn't come back.

CHAPTER 364 OF MY HERO ACADEMIA

I'm disappointed, and what a way to mock Bakugo's death

YEAH, I SAID IT CAUSE IT IS!!!

Let's get this out of the way, we all know he wasn't gonna stay dead cause:

The genre (shonen) that the story is

His role in the story as a Rival and part of the main crew

He's the most popular character as he's won 1st place in the polls repeatedly

Take these with a grain of salt, but what I likely think are the reasons why

Bakugo dying was a very big moment for us fans, seeing Horikoshi having the guts to pull such an act; however, now it's the biggest fake-out and a very terrible event mocking us that very much feels like playing with our emotions.

If we look at the story all clearly, Bakugo was a character who was never telegrammed to die. Unless it's a seinen series, usually, the only characters that die in shonen are parents, mentor figures, older siblings, villains, and side characters. Do you know who fits in any of these examples?

All Might.

We all have seen the death flags sent to All Might repeatedly. This character was Deku's mentor, mentor figures usually die, because their role in the story is to prop the hero up; to be their training wheels. When the training wheels come off (mentor death), the hero's student is truly tested, and they finally come into their own. That said; you could argue that All Might DID DIE (the hero), All Might's fight against AfO one last time marked the death of the hero "All Might".

All Might is no longer around, just Yagi Toshinori. The hero's mantle is now being tested and challenged, with Deku now having to train harder to catch up to fill up the space All Might has left behind.

But Bakugo?

Bakugo is Deku's rival and childhood friend. As far as I can remember, he had NO hints or flags raised for his potential death. Bakugo's role in the story is to help Deku grow; Deku has said that he looks up to Bakugo and while he respects and admires All Might, Bakugo is the one he looks up to more. These two are tied to one another to help each other grow.

So why did Horikoshi decide to have Bakugo die? We don't know, but in the build-up to it, how calm Bakugo was during his fight before he died, voicing his regret towards the All Might vestige he saw in that empty void? Before, it was very emotional and dramatic seeing this death; but now it feels like manipulating the reader's emotion for a temporary shock value.

Also adding the fact that Edgeshot, a side character is sacrificing their life to bring Bakugo back. A character we barely know much or let alone seen much of?

Look, I don't care if you're the biggest Edgeshot fan, or if you argue that he's more than such a side character. This move is useless, ridiculous (as in how the heck Bakugo is coming back is ridiculous even if you try using bnha logic), and it very much takes away a lot of the impact of the story "IF" Bakugo stayed dead.

So what would happen if Bakugo were to stay dead?

Narratively speaking, it could very much drive the fact how horrible the hero system was even more so than it is.

We got the villains who were tossed, ignored, or even abused by a system, rejected, and now fighting back against it. These villains aren't just old black and white bad guys, they were people that needed help, but were either too late or ignored to receive it.

Now, we got a major ass war against these people trying to tear down the system that rejected them.

A war that is so big that it not only is it affecting the entire country but all across the world.

A war that has sent teenagers.

Literal CHILDREN as child soldiers fighting alongside adults where they could have died.

And one did.

That said, there's also robbing the potential of how other characters take Bakugo's death while fighting AfO/Shiggy.

They're all pissed.

We could have gotten a majority fighting even more so determined to bring down shiggy at any cost. There's no room to hold him down, stall, or whatsoever.

In their eyes, Shigaraki must be brought down at once.

But you know what else was robbed? Izuku Midoriya's reaction to Bakugo's death.

We've seen Deku after Dabi succeeded in kidnapping Kacchan, and we've seen him go berserk after Kacchan took the hit from Shigaraki and later on mocked for doing that. So having Deku react to Kacchan being killed by Shiggy would have driven him either over the edge, or gotten him in a state of disbelief where he loses the will to fight.

Deku and Bakugo's arcs are tied to each other and they're meant to help each other grow, so if per say Bakugo died. That COULD have driven Deku to grow even more.

Here's what could have been done if Bakugo were to stay dead (Not that I want him to stay dead or die in the first place, just what could have happened):

"Bakugo is dead, AfO/Shiggy mocks the heroes for failing to defeat him as well as letting a child die right in front of them. Fighting continues where more heroes get injured or get close to the brink of death till finally, Deku arrives back.

Unbeknownst to everyone, not only did Shigaraki kill Bakugo. He took Bakugo's quirk as a trophy and uses it against the heroes and Deku.

Driving Deku even more into disbelief and despair during the fight where he is pinned down and Shigaraki starts trying to take One for All with more success as he succeeded in breaking Deku's restraint.

If anyone realized this, it is basically taking in what happened when Shiggy fought Stars and Stripes.

And similar to that fight, Bakugo, within Shigaraki, yells out at Deku to snap out of it and starts fighting back inside.

Bakugo's quirk is rebelling against Shigaraki.

This gets Deku to snap out of it, and he starts fighting again. While Deku is fighting Shigaraki physically, Bakugo is fighting back mentally, in a way he blasts a way towards Tenko inside Shiggy for Deku to reach out and save.

What All Might has told them could be used here as both of them are working together tearing down AfO's control of Shiggy both mentally and physically.

“Win by saving people and save people by winning.”

They eventually succeeded in knocking down AfO/Shigaraki, breaking AfO's control by getting Tenko out. Both Shiggy and Deku pass out from exhaustion and Bakugo's time within has run out.

Bakugo tells Deku he has to accept that he won't be around anymore and he needs to be stronger when facing AfO to finally end all this. He needs to accept that they won't be able to be heroes together in the end.

Bakugo has his version of goodbye or legit actually honestly says it, tells Deku that he better become the number 1 hero for him, and maybe promises him to do something he never got the chance to do cause of his pride.

Ask All Might to sign his special edition All might trading card he kept in his pocket all this time..."

... Honestly, I don't know if that idea was good or bad. Someone else possibly could have had a better idea of what could have been done, but it's honestly a lot better than what we are getting with this fake-out that is happening.

I want to state again that I'm very disappointed in the way Bnha is going down.

I'm a huge fan... I love My Hero Academia, I enjoy reading the series and I will continue reading it even if there are a lot of blunders happening at the moment to even this...

So this rant isn't from a person who is dropping the series in anger, it's by a fan who legit loved this series and is very disappointed with what is happening...

I could be proven wrong and it'll get better eventually, possibly proven wrong that chapter 364 possibly is used well and what we will get will be worth the disappointment and anger now. Till then, at this moment... I'm just disappointed that this is the route Horikoshi is taking.

What I had thought of was using ideas and foresight that happened already in the story to a possible idea that could have happened.

I don't know if Horikoshi himself is burnt out and wants to finish this series as quickly as possible losing passion for it. The many editors that change and meddle into the writing of the story. Or possibly Shone Jump wanting a rapid-pace, consistent stream of content to generate sales...

Either way, it's very possible all 3 are responsible in a way.

It might have helped if Horikoshi took maybe a month-long hiatus or more if he really needed it in order to make sure the story went the way he wanted.

Till then... I'll continue reading BNHA... hoping that its ending will be satisfying for the story, us the fans... and most importantly Horikoshi himself.

i feel like the heroes are making mistakes that will cost them another big loss

Deku is acting on his own trying to protect his friends when in reality by making himself more vulnerable he is making the situation worse for everyone (also he is suddenly a badass at everything so yeah)

Endeavor's situation is weird because he got the support from his family, promised shoto they will work together to stop touya (he remembers this specifically) but then refuses to call him back and acts on his own be it from fear of shoto getting hurt or the fact that it is him taking responsibility for what HE caused and trying to fix this it is still wrong because he is the last person who can bring back or stop touya considering he is his abuser and at this point he STILL doesn't understand his own mistakes to an extent. i know you might say he wouldn't kill touya but it really scares me that he would probably try to mix being a hero with killing touya and a father by dying WITH him thinking this is the way to go for it

Well, the heroes have been making mistakes since the beginning. This is a heated argument, especially since we know that the system upholding the pro-heroes and their actions is faulty at its core. But surpisingly, they suffered very little losses (I mean, the most important victims have been Night Eye and Midnight, and both died in 'battle' - not for actions aimed specifically at maiming them either, making them basically casualties),and this comes back to your argument. Where heroes SHOULD have rationally been punished for their mistakes, there are - in constrast - very little instances in which heroes suffered the consequences of their actions. This is why, the All Might Death flags are raising, especially with the last chapter (as I wrote here). This is even more evident from what you point out about Izuku: I don't entirely think that Izuku going off on his own is a bad thing, but honestly, apart from his encounter with Stain and in the long term his encounter with AfO and him saving Shigaraki, I am at a dire loss with his character. He is evolving, in a good and meaningful way, but at the same time he poses a question in terms of continuity of the narrative and lets pop up questions such as: so, where is this exactly going? What is he trying to achieve by detaching himself from All Might and going off on an 'urban legends' path? Do these two things have ties to each other (as I think they do) - and if they do, is going off and leaving AM behind a parallel with what Nana has done before, leaving Yagi and also then exposing him to the dangers of being a (past) OfA user? (In the first panel, there is a Nana-shot, which makes me think, that the one being left behind is somehow an All Might's trait, as or he is being left behind by those who he cares about or he is ahead or everyone else.)

As for Endeavour, I think that besides everything I said in last asks, I don't think he will confuse his duty as hero and as a father by killing Touya and himself with it. It would be a very much waster trope, and just a terrible conclusion to the Todoroki plotline. Touya is definitely surviving this until the end, but I think that Endeavour sacrificing himself for Touya might come later into play, when both duties mix up (exactly as you say, and exactly as what is happening in E's head in this right moment) and he has to take a decision which he thinks might be of him as a father and yet reflect his own duty as a pro-hero towards society (shaped as Touya vs villain Dabi). Now, this is a discourse which has a lot of nuances (and that I really don't want to get into as of the moment), but the baseline is that there is very little risk of Touya dying, especially by Endeavour's hand (it just would not make sense in the slightest, and it would completely kill any possibility of Endeavour's atonement that Horikoshi is so hardly structuring and fighting for). I am sure that Shouto however will resonate more in this speech than Endeavour, and that ther emighr be some conflict of interest in between the three but as I said I think it is a tad too early to worry about this (or worry at all, as the three main villains are going to be saved and gonna be alive at the end, contrary to All Might). So please don't worry, as things are slowly making sense and every loose end will be tied (hopefully).

So I’ve been staring in the void for a bit and since my brain is dead I thougt, might try making stuff clearer here by making a list of the wip I sometime reference on this blog (with the corresponding tag if they got one).

Some are more in progress than others but they all exist more or less on my computer, so feel free to ask if you wanna know more.

Who The F- Is This (AO3) : DCMK, Time Travel AU, a post-canon Conan got send in the past, decides to cause trouble for everyone, while Kid tries to get him back to his right time. 

Sharpen Your Knives / The Kids Will Be Alright / Time Travel NOC AU : Detective Conan, Time Travel AU, the Organisation decides to attack first, causing a chain of events that drop Conan twenty-odd years in the past, where he get adopted by the Miyanos and later join the organisation in the hope of destroying them from the inside. The Kids Will Be Alrights is the other side of the coin, what is happening in the “future” after Conan disappeared. So far I’ve mostly just got vague excerpt and something of an outline.

Harrinichi Kupotter : (DCMK/HP) Shinichi dies, is reincarnated as Harry Potter. The Potter-verse is actually the same as the DCMK-verse, so we get to see Ran/Heiji/Kazuha/etc. again. It is also, somehow, all because of Vermouth. Was born out of the fact there’s not a lot of reincarnation fics for DC, and I guess Shinichi clearly hasn’t been a child long enough. So far I got a somewhat beginning and some excerpt.

Badass Women AU : (FMA) FMA Roleswap au, where Ed is a doctor/automail specialist and Winry is an alchemist. Haven’t really gotten back to it in years but I’ve got part of Ed’s backstory written.

The Time Travel Road Trip Case : (DCMK) same premise as the “Who The F Is This” AU, except Kid also travel in the past, leading to future Kid and Conan doing a road trip and causing chaos. Mostly just excerpt and a main plot.

Baby Ed Saving The World : (FMA) Ed dies of old age. And wake up as his 4yo self, on the night his father left. Also an old one, I got some excerpt in french, need to translate them, the idea is pretty much the Elric-Hohenheim family goes on a road trip and save the world with hugs and punches.

FMA Time Travel Fic 1 : (FMA) was started out of spite for the already existing FMA Time Travel fics on AO3 (not that they’re bad, they’re good mostly, there were just some things I disagreed with). The Promise Day goes to shit, Ed is sent back in time but is unable to speak of the future. Cue stupid shenanigans. Also an old one, need to get back to it someday.

Naobuza and Raphtaku : (Naruto/Shield Hero) Zabuza got reincarnated as Naofumi Iwatani, Haku get reincarnated as Raphtalia. I got some exceprt but not much to be honest, I still get back to it every once in a while.

Midoriya Inko’s Guide to Good Parenthood : (MHA) a Midoriya Inko Time Travel AU. She is sent back in the past as a last ditch effort to save society, and after making sure the right information goes to the right people, she decides to adopt all the children in need of help. Got a vague outline, I’m probably going to wait until further in the manga before actually writing for it.

Dad For All : (MHA) because of a villain attack, Izuku is sent in the past. Stumbling into people in need, he cannot stop himself from helping them. The world is a better place for it. AKA Izuku keeps helping and accidentally adopting everyone, encouraged by Nezu’s desire for chaos.

Vigilante Yagi AU: (MHA) After his first fight against AfO, Yagi Toshinori, AKA All Might, doesn’t let his time limit stop him from helping people. Too bad the fact Yagi Toshinori cannot be linked to All Might means most of his actions are considered vigilantism.

Reincarnation AU: (MHA) Due to OfA fuckery, the souls of the previous OfA holders do not go through the reincarnation process properly, meaning the reincarnates grow to remember their past life.

Shouto’s multistep plan to get expelled: (MHA) Shouto Todoroki never wanted to be a hero, not since he realised how much it hurted his family. So, when Aizawa offers him an “out” in the form of being expulsed from the Hero Course, Shouto goes for it. Hard.

Role Reversal Izuku-Tenko: (MHA) Tenko Shimura is quirkless. Izuku has a quirk named Decay. This changes a lot of things. (Roleswap between Izuku and Shigaraki, as well as Shirakumo and Aizawa. This is as fun as it sounds.)

Honorables mentions (aka vague ideas that aren’t really fics so far)

The Accidental Kidswap AU: (DCMK) Due to Hospital Shenanigans, Kaito and Shinichi got swapped at birth. Due to Genetics, Shinichi Kuroba is still more of a detective, while Kaito Kudo is more of an artist. Due to Fate, Shinchi learn his father was murdered for being Phantom Thief Kaitou KID, and Kaito get poisoned by the APTX.

The Ran Bodyguard AU: (DCMK) Ran decides Shinichi is weak and decides to become his official bodyguard while he does his detective stuff.

The Shrunk Kid AU: (DCMK) Shinichi and Ran’s Not-Date at Tropical Land happens on the same day Aoko tries to prove Kaito isn’t Kid by going to Tropical Land at the time of the heist. On his way back, Kaito witness the deal, and Gin and Vodka confound him with Shinichi, leading to Kaito being poisoned by the APTX instead of Shinichi.

The Babysitting AU: (DCMK) The first idea of the TT NOC AU, before it went bad. Because of one of Agasa’s invention, Shinichi is cartwheeled in the past, where he somehow got roped into babysitting for the Miyanos/Kudos (so, babies Akemi, Rei, Teen Yukiko and Yusaku, Eri and Kogoro, etc.)

Werewolf Ed AU: (FMA/HP) basically a retelling of FMA in the Harry Potter universe, a werewolf attack killed Trisha, turned Ed into a werewolf (and got a few limbs chewed off), and Al got mostly paralysed for a while. There’s also a whole plot about Hohenheim and Dwarf in the Flask and ancient curses.

The Keeping In Touch AU: (DCMK) where the Kudos stayed more in touch with the Kurobas and the Vineyard, but canon still happen mostly the same leading to Akward Situations (”quick haibara hide me” “why? did you see a member of the crows?” “no worse, this is auntie Chris, she changed my diapers, she would totally recognised me” “Vermouth is your aunt ????”)

Shield Hero AU (or, Shifumi): (DC/Rising Of The Shield Hero) Shinichi “dies” from the APTX and wake up as the Shield Hero in Melromarc. (or, as the funny variant, Shinichi get shrunk and wake up in Melromarc as the Shield Hero)

The Shinichi isn’t Conan (or is he?) AU: (DCMK) Shinichi and Conan are siblings. Shinichi still get shrunk, and hides behind the identity of his own brother Conan.

100 Days AU: (DCMK) Based on the manga 100 Days Until You Die, Shinichi is able to see when a living being got 100 (or less) days to live. Heiji also got stronger prophetic dreams.

Nothing To See At Poirot AU: (DCMK) The Poirot Café is a totally normal kind of place. Please ignore the giant glowing cloud. Or Poirot is some kind of yokai/welcome to Nightvale place, and everyone is used to it. Enter new worker Amuro Tooru.

Still not over Self Insert Swap AU concepts and sense none of you people sent me an ask about it I’m just going to make the post myself because I have better things to be doing with my brain space and I need these thought EVICTED

But to keep from being annoying I’ll put it under the read more because who knows it might be a long post sorry not sorry but actually sorry

The age gap between Toshinori and I made this AU a little hard to figure out but I think I’ve got it down, basically to start off Nana never met Toshi to pass OFA down to him, and likewise also didn’t have her death fight with AFO early on. She still ended up sending her son away for his own safety, which he’d grow to resent her for, raising Tenko to still become Tomura etc etc still works. I have it details I just dkfsdk It’s a lot it’s a lot I like making AUs that work but I don’t want to write a NOVEL here so moving on

Emile’s Story

Before her final confrontation with AFO, which would happen later, Nana passes OFA onto me, who’s 15 at the time. My S/I is the same up until this point, more or less, Weightless is his quirk and it’s still more a disability than a super power. Why Nana gave it to me gets complicated but it’s mostly for security reasons, she either comes back with Tenko, or she dies in this fight, and without a successor to OFA, she had to find someone just to hold it. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. It’s a very last ditch choice on her part.

AFO doesn’t KNOW who has OFA now, giving me a bit of an advantage as I figure out wtf is happening. There’s no healing in OFA’s repertoire so it’s not like my physical condition gets any better. If anything it gets worse.

The first quirk to show itself from OFA’s arsenal is Black Whip, which after sending me to the hospital, immediately gets the attention of AFO and, worse, the Hero Commission. 

Hawks is doing good on his own as a budding Hero at this point, he’s got his own agency going at this point if I remember the timeline right, so the Commission is looking for a new young hero to groom, and I, with my powerful quirk that’s destroying me from the inside out, am just the child soldier they’re looking for.

Around three years after that I have my first run in with AFO, and it goes TERRIBLY as you’d expect. Getting slammed into several buildings when your bones are already pre-shattered ceramic held together with gum and hope is not fantastic on the body. If it wasn’t for Hawks getting other pro-heroes as back up I would most certainly be dead. AFO, of course, got away.

More physically destroyed than previously, I take a semi-retirement, much to the irritation of Hawks, who knows about OFA and thinks I’m wasting it (the hero commission tried to convince me several times to give it to Hawks), and the anger of the Hero Commission, who try to hold me to hero work.

I end up escaping the corrupted commission though Nezu, the child soldier before Hawks. He has a bit of leeway with the commission and takes me from them under the guise of a teacher at UA, so I may find someone better to take OFA. I really owe him a lot and respect him above anyone else.

During the next 2 years I watch over the Hero course at UA, and also still work part-time as a rescue hero for the surrounding area, where I meet Toshinori Yagi!

Toshi’s Story

Obviously, Toshi’s still quirkless in this AU. But he’s still got the hero spirit in him, every call for help is a call for him specifically, so he is constantly running full speed into danger in the off chance of being helpful.

As a kid he was actually pretty successful, running after petty thieves and successfully finding hide away villains where police couldn’t. He was spry, rather fit, and ready to rumble all though middle school. He really believed he could be a hero, quirk or no.

UA told him otherwise.

He ended up in UA’s general studies, though he didn’t attend a lot of general studies classes. He tailed the Hero Course as stealthy as he could, copying their lessons, getting his homeroom teacher to sneak him the recordings of their training. He ended up making it to 3rd in the sports festival thanks to all his semi-stalkerish behavior of his fellow students. And, as in middle school, he also continued his vigilante work, as best he could on his school schedule.

Sense he couldn’t get in trouble using a quirk to stop crime without a licance, as he didn’t have a quirk, Toshi got away with a lot of vigilante activity as a kid, and into his early adult hood. However, as he got older he found himself running to face more and more dangerous villains than before.

Back in Toshinori’s day, most Villains were petty crooks, just learning their quirk, using it as amaturely as a first year in any hero course. But Villains evolved along side heroes, and Toshi couldn’t keep up with their growing strength.

He sustained several injuries throughout his late 20′s and 40′s, major injuries that would effect the rest of his life, even with the amazing medical care of My Hero Academia. He has many physical limits to how much he can do in a day, and walks with a cane to lessen the pressure on his right leg.

But that still doesn’t stop him.

When I become a constant in town as a rescue hero, about 90% of my job became keeping Toshinori Yagi out of harms way. Black Whip, Float, and Weightless make getting him out of danger pretty easy. The other local heroes jokingly tall me Mr. Yagi’s handler.

When not rushing face first into danger, Mr. Yagi is actually a teacher at a local Middle School, encouraging his students to Go Beyond; Plus Ultra! He says it’s very inspiring, especially to a quirkless student he had last year, who apparently applied to UA.

-Ardyn in this wakes up post The Great Stabbing and is ... more than a little annoyed. Hello. He wanted the afterlife experience. HELLO WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS DESTINY OF FADING TO COSMIC DUST.

-But no. Apparently he gets to have a “second chance” to “be a hero”.

-Just let one of the Astrals show themselves, he’ll show where to put that “second chance”-.

-Anyway. Ardyn is Ardyn, he looks like he did in canon but he’s sane again. Oddly enough he’s still got both his armiger magic, his super healing, and some of his scourge-like abilities (scary face included). He’s not corrupted tho. Ardyn isn’t sure what to make of that.

-Goes and hobos around for a while, getting used to this world and the fact that everyone looks like a storybook encounter with cursed items gone wrong. Picks up a Smol Traumatized Child that can disintegrate things with his fingers off the streets because Why Not, Let’s Both Be Homeless Together Kiddo, then in short order gets himself known as a Major Villain when he finds a trafficking ring and, since Ardyn is Not Exactly Moral Even If Arguably Sane, he slaughters them to the last man.

-Ardyn is known on the news via grainy footage that only catches glimpses of his scourge face and a lot of rumor, he laughs his head off when the ONE soundbite they manage to get from the scene leads to his being named Adagium. AGAIN. Okay he walked into that one.

-Uses the resources of the no-longer-operational trafficking ring to set up a nice restaurant bar with a secret (illegal) clinic in the back. He makes dishes exclusively from his original time period and so the food is known as very eccentric but good. Ardyn rapidly gets the wackiest duel rep in history. To the mainstream/police/pro heroes he’s a shadowy super-murderer named Adagium. To the underworld and the homeless, the quirkless and the children, Adagium is a name that means hope and shelter, healing and comfort and a monster that protects its own rather than giving meaningless promises, all in exchange for simple favors like clothes and information and school books for his child.

-Ardyn makes special one-finger gloves for Tenko so that he can touch touch stuff without worrying about destroying it. He also, at some point, picks up the rest of the not-LoV by pure happenstance. Toga comes into his clinic hunting a patient, he scolds her, puts her in time-out, then gives her a lolli with heavy iron supplement because clearly if the girl has a blood craving she needs more iron in her system. Don’t you heathens know anything about the meaning behind cravings. Spinner gets into a fight in Ardyn’s territory, Ardyn patches him up and gently informs him that if he’s going to pick fights, at least fight dirty enough to win them. Twice comes there often for a meal and company that won’t look at him funny for talking to himself, Mr. Compress is bound and determined to get Ardyn to be surprised by one of his magic tricks (never works, because unlike Compress Ardyn can do LITERAL MAGIC). Magne is not a regular, but still shows up once in a blue moon because Ardyn’s illegal clinic is probably better stocked than most legal ones at this point (people tend to trade his treatment for actual medicine and equipment, Ardyn never asks where they get it).

-Dabi is the last to be picked up. He is also how Ardyn’s increasing collection of strays first learn about Ardyn’s superhealing factor when he TAKES Dabi’s fresh, weeping burns onto himself and they heal over in minutes, leaving both of them unscarred (or mostly so, Ardyn’s skin will always have faint ripple marks where the burns were). It is also around this time that, coincidentally, people start gunning for Endeavor and trying to make his life miserable. Because Adagium hates him and is plotting to end him, so clearly that’s their cue, right?

-The rest of Endeavor’s kids vanish in the middle of the night. No one in the police or pro heroes can find them.

-Far away in a little, unnoticed restaurant bar, Dabi holds his siblings tight and promises they are never going to have to suffer That Man again. Ardyn rests gentle hands on Shōto’s face and whispers that everything will be okay even as his skin bubbles and boils into an ugly burn before healing over with the faintest scars.

-Moving on from Ardyn’s growing collection of strays (that will keep growing so keep an eye on that):

-Ardyn doesn’t get the whole quirk thing. Or the whole superhero society thing. If something needs doing and it suits him then he shall do it, none of this Symbol of Peace nonsense.

-Yes, he said nonsense. The Symbol of Peace is nonsense and only setting society up to fall apart when this All Might fellow either gets too powerful and is made to take a fall or when he finally picks a fight he can’t win.

-Ardyn says as much to Toshinori Yagi, the nice civilian man who wandered into Ardyn’s bar without knowing who is running it. The man sputters a bit and asks why he thinks so, Ardyn just laughs and laughs and laughs until there is something unnerving about the sound and Ardyn has to stop and catch his breath. Blue eyes flicker gold as Ardyn murmurs that he’s seen it happen before.

-Somehow, Toshinori thinks this strange, eccentric barkeep doesn’t mean as a bystander.

-Ardyn meets Aizawa while Aizawa is on the hunt for Adagium, they eyeball each other like wary cats before Ardyn decides that this angry hobo hero is His Now and invites the man over for food. Aizawa declines. Ardyn casually slings Aizawa over his shoulder and carts him in anyway before Aizawa can think to retaliate.

-Ardyn is highly amused to learn that Hobo Man is after the Adagium. Good luck with that, truly, best of fortune.

-So, for those of you paying attention, Ardyn’s count of Heroes He Has Adopted is officially up to 2, even if he pretends not to notice the first one (pretends. Because he knows exactly who Toshi is, come ON it’s not that hard, they have the same voice and smile and everything).

-Ardyn’s kids grow up with his scathing political commentary and one foot in both legal and illegal worlds. Some of them (Tenko, Dabi, Toga, Spinner) decide that they’re gonna make a League to show the world how dumb its being. A League of Villains! (”League of Vigilante’s sounds more appropriate for your chosen activities, Tenko Mine-” “VILLAINS. WE ARE VILLAINS NOW.” “Alright then, will all villains in the room please wash up for supper?”)

-Ardyn finds Hitoshi and decides he’s not quite qualified for this one.

-Aizawa wakes up from another rare session of being black-out to find Ardyn cheerfully tearing up his apartment to make it more “child suitable”. Child WHAT. Child suitable. For your child.

-MY WHAT.

-Ardyn calmly holds out the adoption papers that have Aizawa’s signature on all of them, perfectly legible because the man is a little too good at pretending he isn’t stone drunk, and then gestures to the sad-eyed, skeptical boy with purple hair in the corner. Ardyn smiles (reads: threatens with killing intent) and says that he’s sure Aizawa will take his new responsibilities seriously (read: you’d better or you’re next on my hitlist).

-Aizawa, never one to go back on his word, has a kid now I guess.

-Shōto comes home one day with a bby Izuku in tow and Ardyn is charmed beyond all words over the boy. He’s so Smol! And Smart! Lookit his little brain firing away! Upon hearing the boy is developing All The Esteem Issues because of his bullying and quirklessness, Ardyn stares off into space for a long time, acknowledges that he’s a sap, and then soothingly tells Izuku that some quirks just come in late, why, Ardyn’s came in late too! Just give it a few days. Then he pats Izuku on the head and uses the motion to disguise the teeny tiny fragment of magic he splits off from his own and gives to this boy who deserves better.

-Izuku comes back two days later, crying for joy and with sparkling green magic dripping from his fingertips. Ardyn exclaims in “surprise” over the similarity of their quirks and offers to teach him. Izuku accepts and after some sweet-talking to Inko, Ardyn gets to mold this tiny genius boi as he pleases to both be proud of himself and his “quirk” AND to fight quirkless as much as possible because “tactics, my boy, take them by surprise!”

-Also then he figures out that he didn’t just lend Izuku magic because this world is funky like that, he genuinely gave it away which counts as LC adoption rituals so OOPS GUESS WHO HAS A BLOOD SON NOW.

-Oh well.

-Toshi and Izuku get along like a house on fire whenever Toshi comes over for a hot meal and Ardyn is pretty content with his brood and his handiwork against Endeavor (who by this point has been exposed as an abuser and put in jail for a long time HAH). Toshi ... pointedly doesn’t ask why several of his kids look like Endeavor. Nope. Not asking. They get their red hair from Ardyn, clearly.

-Of course, all of this casual wrecking of canon attracts the attention of AfO, who is not happy about the competition. He shows up at one point, all suave and intimidating because he is immortal and older than anyone alive and smarter too and-

-Ardyn laughs in his face.

-Baby.

-Bby playing at immortal.

-You think two centuries or so makes you hot stuff? You think stolen quirks makes you special? You think you can come into Ardyn’s territory and threaten his kids and get away with it because you’re ... a little older than the average human being? Ardyn leans close and smiles as AfO tries and fails to steal a quirk that doesn’t exist to be stolen, his Scourge face leaking into existence as he purrs that AfO should’ve minded his own business a little more than he minded others.

-AfO came prepared for a quirk. He did not come prepared for the combined might of 2k year old LC magic and abilities of a Scourge the world has never, and will never, see.

-It’s not even a fight.

-Adagium makes the news again when a body is found hanging from a high tower, torn apart as if by dozens upon dozens of blades, the corpse pinned in place by a spear that dissolves into red sparks upon the police touching it, leaving behind only a note that gets leaked to the media and goes viral.

-Dear World, refrain from touching my stuff, and you won’t end up like this man. Sincerely, Adagium.

-Not the most menacing letter until you considering the delivery method.

-Toshinori has to sit there and have a Moment upon the news that the man who murdered Nana is already dead by someone else’s hand and they have no idea when the fight went down. Because surely there was a fight, right? AfO had been centuries old and with dozens upon dozens of quirks. Who could possibly have brought him down when Nana, the then-wielder of OfA could not???

-Ardyn gently pats Toshi’s shoulder through the breakdown. There there. I’m sure you’ll figure out the culprit eventually, you’re a smart man Toshi. There there.

-Also Kurogiri shows up not long after that entire debacle looking for a new job because his old one got murdered and Adagium seems like an efficient dude. Ardyn is always happy for more hands on deck in wrangling the kids, and this one has warping powers. Welcome aboard Kurogiri.

Know how Shoto asks states Izuku is serect love child what if he was only Inko thinks the father of her child name is yagi and what ever his other name is.

So that real Dad Might? Where Inko either has a fling with Toshi during a break up with Hisashi or Hisashi is a fake identity Toshi uses so he can try and have a normal relationship without putting his love in danger? Hmmmok

When he first saw Izuku after the slime villain was taken care of Toshinori couldn’t help but feel his heart squeeze. The boy looked so much like the memory of the woman he’d been chasing for 16 years. He prayed to a god he wasn’t sure existed that the kid would wake up and that he’d been in time to save the little sprout. And well you know the rest of how they met.

Toshi found out the kid’s name was Midoriya(fitting) Izuku. Izuku talked a lot about the people he admired which included Toshi’s alter ego, an explosive sounding ‘kahchan’, and the kid’s mother. Never once did the kid talk about a father and even though Toshi had wanted to know there was a chance that it might be a hurtful thing for the sensitive boy. Sometimes he just let himself imagine that Izuku was his, it hurt when he had to watch the boy head back home instead of going with him.

Tsu started the whole thing when she compared their quirks, not that Toshi was there for it or could really blame her for seeing it. “Tell me Midoriya, are you All Might’s secret love child?” It wasn’t a shock someone might think so, Toshi wondered that same thing. What was a shock was when Izuku told him it was part of Todoroki’s declaration of rivalry. It became a thing with the youngest Todoroki child. If he made sure to ruffle Izuku’s hair and call him ‘my boy’ and ‘son’ more often in front of the other student, well it was all in good fun.

It wasn’t just the students that noticed the similarities between Toshi and Izuku. All Might had his own encounter with Eraserhead. “How come your kid seems to have never practiced using his quirk? Shouldn’t you have prepared him?” The gruff looking teacher scrutinized. The man’s eyes flickering with red to reflect his frustration. All Might coughed up so much blood at that and had to lay down without answering, Eraser squints at him the same way Todoroki has been. Toshi feels like he made a mistake in teasing the kid and this was his payback.

Toshinori cried when he got word from Gran that his successor had gone up against the hero killer and was almost killed by a Nomu. When Izuku told him that the killer deemed him worthy enough to be the next All Might and was the one to save the boy Toshi had sent the man a letter disapproving the killer’s way of trying to change things but thanked him for saving the boy he loved like a son. The letter back simply said, “he has the heart of his father, keep him safe.” Toshi cried again.

Shigaraki’s stunt at the mall nearly killed him, if they only knew that they had almost been successful(no wait they might hurt his kid again). Toshi was happy to send Izuku away to camp, safe. The call from Vlad King made him regret not being there to protect his boy, his students, his fellow heroes. The tears that shook him had him questioning his advice to Izuku about heroes not crying.

After his fight with AFO the teachers had to do home visits when Toshinori saw the name listed on Izuku’s form he insisted on doing it alone. That look of suspicion that he gained from Aizawa said it all, the man knew why. “Fine I’ll take care of the Bakugou’s home while you take care of, this.” He agreed “but if it looks like it will take long, text me.” Eraser left no room for debate as he got back into the car to head to the Bakugous.

“Hello Inko, I didn’t think I’d ever se you again. I just wish it was under better circumstances.” And wow she was just a beautiful as the last time he saw her. She cried, he cried, Izuku was confused but he cried too. It took some time to calm down and explain and be explained to (he texted Aizawa when Izuku started crying) but at the end the truth had come out. Inko’s fiancé had broke it off and in that time she and Toshi had met and they had what they had. Hisashi came back and more or less forced her to go one with the marriage and move to a new area. She found out she was pregnant the same time she met the Bakugous, who were also expecting. They helped her escape her husband and both new families leaned on each other for years.

The students moved in to their dorms and after their room contest they all started talking about how the teachers had convinced their parents. “I bet Midoriya had it easy since his father is a teacher.” Todoroki states causing a mix of laughter(the people who had heard this before) and confused murmurs(those who hadn’t). Either way all eyes where on the young boy as it was now his turn to share. He was as red as expected but not as flustered as they had thought. “Well uh so you remember how you asked if I was All Night’s love child? As it turns out..”

The screams from the A-1 dorms rivaled even Present Mic.

T’is the season Day 31

Last TDS fic how ya feel?? Happy New years guys ^.^ let’s have some more fun next year yeah?

All Might, Midnight, Nezu, Stain, AFO, Best Jeanist! (In order so ya can skippies the ones u no likeies)

Warnings: Dark Chocolate, Death mentioning? Or mentions of impending death? Also I don’t know about ya but I found Stain to be so hot o////o Oh and Best Jeanist spoiler. (Also AFO & Stain make more sense if you’ve read Day 25 pt1 AFO)

All Might! (Toshinori Yagi)

               No one could get in touch with him. It was as if he was avoiding everyone. Well avoiding you. He had been ever since he had used up the last of his power in the fight with All for One. You knew because he’d do everything in his power to try to get out of the area you were in quickly, his responses to you were short and curt. And, in all honesty it as beginning to hurt you. You didn’t confront him wanting him to speak to you out of his own free will but, it was almost a new year. You didn’t want to start it off without him. So, you confronted him….

               “Toshi! Wait.” You had blocked him off and even though he could easily move out of the way he choose to listen. “I think I know why you’ve been avoiding me…. And, I want you to stop. Please stop avoiding me, it’s hurting me a lot more than what you think.”

               “I-It’s better this way (Name)” He sighed. “At least this way when it does happen you won’t feel the sting so much.”

               “You idiot!” You shouted. Reaching up to yank his shirt to pull him down to your height. Tears welled in you eyes as you glared at him. “I want to be with you. Why don’t you get that? Even if you don’t have much time here... I want to spend your last moments together. I don’t want our last words to be a ‘See you tomorrow at work (Name)’! I want to make more memories with you before that. S-so please Toshi Please j-just-“An ugly sob racked through your body and the tall man wasted no time in wrapping his arms around you. With your face buried in his chest you wailed freely. When you pulled away your eyes were puffy, and you sounded a bit nasally. “I-I just want to spend the n-new years with you and p-pray that you’ll get to see m-most of it. W-with me if y-you’d like.”

               He gave you a melancholic smile and with a nod he spoke: “I’m sorry for thinking ignoring you would hurt less. Let’s spend the rest of the time I have left together. And, whatever this new year is going to bring, I’ll be happy to share it with you. The laughs the tears all of it. And, when I do go It’s with good memories. No more ignoring let’s walk until the road ends...”

 Midnight (Nemuri Kayama)

               “Got any plans?” It was those words that had brought you to where you were now. Nemuri had asked you that the day before the end of the year and, you had replied in earnest. You had no plans and she was eager to invite you to a party. And, not one of those faculty ‘End of the year bash’ parties that Nezu threw. So, there you were your closet’s best framing your form and a cute smile on your lips.

               “That guy is totally checking you out.” You heard the erotic hero say. Your smile fell. The last thing you wanted was to end up in the arms of a stranger drunk off your ass. You didn’t not want to wake up on the first with a roaring hangover in a dingy motel bed. ‘No thank you’ you thought looking back at Nemuri.

“Well that’s to bad he’s gonna have to look elsewhere because I’m staying right here with you!” You chirped. “Besides we said we’d do the countdown together.”

Much to your disappointment he came over. You groaned and looked to Midnight as he stood beside you. His ratchet breath tickled your nose and you cringed at what he said. It was the grossest most slurred pick up line you had ever had the misfortune of hearing.

“Soo pretty thang whaddya say~” You scrunched up your face in disgust. And before his hand could touch you Nemuri slapped it away.

“I think you should go your making my girlfriend very uncomfortable.” Her tone serious as she spoke.

“Girlfriend ha!-“ before he could finish Nemuri stood up her eyes slits.

“Are you sure you want to finish what you were going to say? Because I can’t guarantee that you’ll have teeth afterwards.” She threatened. You looked away, You thought she looked hot when she was mad. However, you brought your attention back to them when he went to hit your girl. But, as a pro hero Nemuri was able to knock him out effortlessly with her quirk. You both looked to each other then to the man on the ground.

“He got drunk and passed out.” You interjected.

“He got drunk and passed out.” She agreed, laughing as she sat back up on the bar stool. She slid her hand into yours and smiled. “Why is everyone trying to steal you away from me?” She teased.

“It’s because I’m amazing.” You sassed.

“That’s got to be it.” She grinned. “We missed the countdown you know.”

“Did we?” You hummed leaning in closer to her.

“Yup.” She smiled her nose brushing against yours.

“Well then how about we have one of our own?” You whispered.

It wasn’t exactly twelve but, it was the best first kiss of the year you’ve ever had.

Nezu

               You let out a groan as you stretched all your joints popping pleasantly. With a deep relived sigh, you turned off the computer. You had finally finished the lesson plans for next year and you were beat. You didn’t have anyone to celebrate New Years with and you really didn’t mind it as much. Once upon a time you had but after years of hero work and teaching it all just became a blur and another day. So, you never really had any issues working through holidays.

Your co-workers had all left to celebrate the coming of the new year. In fact, they left hours ago it was Eleven. They had plans. You had been invited but you refused. You didn’t feel the need to party when you had so much work to do. You were also regarded as a bit of a buzz kill and, you didn’t want to be the wet blanket at the get-together.

You stacked the papers that you needed to give to the principal and made your way to his office. Your brows furrowed when you noticed that the light of the room was one. You thought that maybe someone left them on. But you knocked to make sure. And, when you heard a muffled come in you knew the doctor was in.  

“Hey” You greeted “What are you still doing here?”

“I could ask you the same thing (Name).” He replied taking a sip of his coffee.

“Right. Well I finished the lesson plans for the next semester I have them here if you want to go over them.” You offered since the both of you obviously had nothing better to do.

He nodded and you pulled up a chair to join the cute small bear, rat thing. You both went over the material with him making comments and you adding to the curriculum. When the clock struck twelve you jumped. Not only at the noise but because Nezu shot up from his seat and scurried to a cabinet off to the side in his office.

You would admit to being surprised when he pulled out a bottle of brandy. Hell, you didn’t even know he drank anything other than liquid caffeine. When he hopped back up his chair, he handed you a glass that was in his desk. You were slightly embarrassed when he poured you a drink as he was your superior.

“Happy New years (Name).” He smiled raising his glass. “It isn’t exactly champagne but I wasn’t expecting company on New years.”

“It’s fine.” You mumbled clinking your glass against his letting the liquid burn your throat. “You always drink alone in your office.”

“I’m always here on holidays.” He hummed pouring himself another.

You swirled your drink a bit before deciding to ask him something. “You mind If I join you on those days?”

“Not at all” He chirped “Some company is fine on days like this, don’t you think?”

“Maybe.” You grinned.

 Stain (Akaguro Chizome)

               (Part of the same story line as AFO Christmas)

You were working New Year’s as well. But, could anyone blame you? For starters you had no one waiting for you at home, you didn’t really have people who invited you to things and lastly the pay was tripled. After what happened on Christmas with AFO you had wanted to quit. But you figured that it would be hard to find such a good high paying job. Besides you were good at being a guard and you weren’t about to let some eyeless bastard dictate your life.

Speaking of villains, the area you had jurisdiction over seemed to be filled with the worst of them. And, you wouldn’t lie you had fun asking the villains of Tartarus questions. But your personal favorite was the hero killer. Due to your high rank no one bothered you when you went to chat with the blood quirked man.

In the back of your mind you heard AFO speaking to you, but your quirk easily dissipated the use of his quirk and you severed his mind link. Afterall you wanted to speak with Akaguro.

You used your card to unlock the door and, entered the white room. When you entered the room, you ignored the chair in the center and went to the glass separating you from the villain. His bloodshot eyes followed your movement in boredom and, when you leaned your back against the glass he spoke.

“Why are you always here.” He rasped.

“What? Can’t I visit my favorite prisoner to wish him a happy new year?” You teased.

He scoffed at your words. What was there to look forward to? Taco Tuesdays? Pizza Friday? Your random visits to his cell? Actually, he looked forward to those. Everyone else thought his views were bogus but, you actually listened to him. He liked hearing you comment on his views of society. What he loved more was that you tastefully agreed with some of his points. You truly were the only capable person in this hell hole. At least that’s what he thought.

“Chizome I’m curious.” You began. “Why the hell didn’t you become a hero instead? Like if you had the clout and attention of the masses people might have put two and two together and, you could have made a reformation movement.”

“Why? I didn’t want to soil myself by becoming the same type of scum as those fake heroes.” He sneered. “And, why are you asking me the same thing again. You’ve been coming here often.” He mused suspiciously. “You look like a rat scurrying away from a large prey.”

“Wow thanks.” You rolled your eyes turning to look at the extremist man. Your eyes looked to the sides suspiciously as you leaned in closer. He too moved in closer. And, in a voice barely above a whisper you spoke. “That man, he’s been trying to talk to me.”

               After you left the hero killer’s cell you could feel it. His presence that is. You had cut him off from your mind, but you could still feel him trying to push in. You were just grateful that even though he had a multitude of quirks he wasn’t proficient in all of them. Telepathy being one of his weaker ones as he had admitted during your conversation that one Christmas night.

               Tired of his insistence that felt like a constant poke at the back of your head you walked to his cell. You wouldn’t risk going inside. Even you would be heavily questioned if you entered his room without a medic or another guard. Therefore, you resorted to glaring at him from the small square window on the door. And you dropped your mental fire wall.

               ‘What the fuck do you want potato head.’ You hissed in your mind link with the criminal.

               ‘My, my such awful treatment to your elders (Name).’ His voice echoed in your mind. ‘I believe the Hero Killer was treated with much more respect than that.’

               ‘So? I don’t think that’s any of your business.’ You sassed. ‘And, I told you the 25th stop trying to communicate with me. Whatever it is you have to say, say it to someone else. As a matter of fact you can go ahead and tell All Might. I think he’d be down for another visit.’

               ‘This brash way of speaking will no doubt get you in trouble.’ You could hear the frown in his voice. His distaste at your brazen disrespect hung was palpable. ‘I don’t appreciate this tone in which you speak to me in’

               ‘Boo fucking hoo.’ You continued ‘Are you gonna do something about it?’

               ‘Not when your hand is above the emergency button.’ He answered .

               You felt a chill run down your spine. ‘Just how powerful is he.’ You thought ‘Is he fucking omnipresent now??’

               ‘Not quite’ He chuckled ‘I can teach you how to do it as well.’

               ‘Offering me power isn’t gonna get you anywhere.’ You hissed.

               ‘No, I suppose it isn’t not with your abilities. I just offer you help in understanding how to use them.’ He proposed.

               ‘No thanks.’ You spat ‘Now if that’s all you had to say I’m leaving.’

               “What!?” You snarled.

               You just wanted him back. You could feel how your tears escaped your tightly closed eyes. And you knew that those behind you were getting impatient but what else could you do. You begged and pleaded to who ever heard to bring him back to you safely. Or at least to protect him. You begged that he would be able to come back. ‘Please, please, please I beg of you. Have mercy. Please let him be alive. Please bring him back. Please let him come home. Please allow him to see our son being born. Let him be okay. Please, please……please.’

One for all is a power that has been passed down for generations. Turns out the most recent generation can afford to be a whole lot more liberal with his sharing. Also turns out sharing quirks runs in the family.

An AU where Izuku can share OFA full cowling with multiple people at once.

izuku giving aizawa 5% of one for all durring the usj or izuku giving toshinori 99% of OFA durring the last fight

cause consider the world never finding out about small might, all might retires but izuku knows

the rescue team all having the max amount of ofa they can use, which is around 2% each, cause a lil sparking team of heroes

izuku using kirishima to give bakugo some too n them using it to get away

izuku having two quirks is my favourite goddamn thing bc him being able to share his quirk but not having anything to share is great

he gives bits to allmight, like a constant 1% so he can teach classes and do press stuff

some rando wants to do an "all might" where is he now segment and it spans a good few months so izuku is continuously in the background just

conspiracy theory starts that izuku is a villain or allmights son

a villain and all might's son

izuku has no double toe joint but the doc cant find any evidence of a quirk? so he tells them izuku is either quirkless or has an invisible quirk. something subtle, or specific enough to have not activated by now

bakugo kinda,, is chill with izuku. he was waiting for izuku to develop a quirk till he judged him, but he never did so he kinda withheld judgement long enough for them to become decent friends

anyway, izuku likes to ramble about different things his quirk could technically be, bakugo likes to join in. they can go at this for h o u r s cackling about stupid hypotheticals

they workout together, they both do boxing and try out random moves they see on the internet on each other. they have a pile of gym mats in the woods like the weirdos they are

bakugo is like,, convinced izuku's quirk is actually an intellect up but he just shrugs

izuku has to grab something before he heads home so he takes the underpass and we get basically episode 1 from there. all might says no, the villain gets away, attacks Bakugo. izuku runs in, throws dust in the villain's eyes and pulls at bakugo's hands. all might jumps in, saves the day yada yada

some background for u about all might bc his past is a touch different here. during the battle with afo, afo was distracted. all might sustained the same injures but won more easily.

night eye never looks into his future because "my purpose is done, nighteye. let's live like everyone else, no fate of the world on our shoulders" he never looks into all mights future again at his request

they stay together

so instead of the big argument they go get ramen and get drunk because they don't have to be superhuman anymore, they can relax now

back to the main timeline-

so izuku is already fit, cleans the beach in 8 months, nighteye supervises

all might gives izuku the quirk 2 months before the entrance exam, nighteye is there to "oversee" (he wants to see izuku choke on a hair and laugh at this kid hes become pretty fond of)

also mirio! is izuku's bro because i love he

izuku eats the hair and gets the quirk like, instantly which?? is confusing nighteye and all might. nighteye has like,,, hidden behind a car because hes the only person with self-preservation

allmight touches izuku and the lightning climbs up his arm and he just pOofs out into swolmight. hes ShooK, so is izuku

anyway, he manages to turn it off and izuku is just standing there like "oh my god what the fuck"

anyway, izuku breaks an arm trying to use ofa and hes muttering trying to work out how to use it, nighteye basically says "well, think back to how ofa came about" and izuku is like ",,, what"

and nighteye screams because TOSHI YOU DIDNT TELL HIM?????? and allmight ",,, o o p s"

so izuku gets to hear the story of all for one while hes being driven to UA for recovery girl hes,,, really quiet for a second

"when did you fight him?"

"six years ago, april?"

",,, this has to be a coincidence"

hisashi went out on a "business trip" 6 years ago and they haven't seen him since. he calls, but hes never visited and izuku has this terrible feeling

because izuku cant calm down and because nighteye thinks this kid might be on to something they call tsukauchi and he agrees to meet them at UA

izuku gets treated, naomasa is in v quickly afterwards before he calls his dad he turns to nighteye, allmight and Naomasa

"i've never been able to lie to my dad. i thought he was just really good at reading me but,,"

"if hes afo he might have a quirk"

"yeah. so i'll just twist the truth. im good at that, but thats all i'll be able to do"

anyway, he calls up his dad and slaps this big grin on his face. the phone is on speaker

"hey dad!!!!" "izuku! is something wrong?"

"oi, cant i call my dad for no reason?"

"you, willingly calling someone? dont make me laugh"

izuku giggles despite himself

"anyway, you'll never guess!!"

"did youuuu,,,, hmmmm, meet all might?"

they freeze but izuku just laughs

"yeah,, but thats not the most exciting thing!!! my quirk came in finally"

"oh?"

"yeah! imagine the worlds most basic power enhancer, but i can share the energy! you have any idea where that could have come from?"

"no! i can't think of anyone in our family with a quirk like that! sounds crazy!"

naomasa looks grin, and mouths "liar"

izuku pales but keeps his smile

"do you think you could visit, id love to show you!! oh, maybe we could test it together! you always had the best ideas for my quirk notes"

"id love to izuku, but im stuck in america for the near future, you know it is. i'll see what i can do tho, ok champ?"

naomasa shakes his head again "lying" izuku looks like hes going to be sick. nighteye is pale, all might looks stunned. izuku grits his teeth but his voice is still light and happy

"i'm gonna make it into UA so you can watch me kick butt from america! you better cheer me on!"

"im looking forward to it. say hi to your mother from me."

naomasa nods. hes telling the truth. that makes nighteye feel the sickest

izuku hangs up the phone and retches into the bin. nighteye is shaking. all might storms out. naomasa punches the wall

basically hes lying in bed, trying to work out why he can't use it without breaking bones but the people he shares it with can, he bolts upright

he runs out his door all the way to bakugos house and climbs in through his window, grabbing a sleeping bakugo by the shoulders

"KACCHAN ITS POWER MODULATION"

"my quirk!!! i was breaking bones because i wasnt modulating it!!!"

mitsuki runs in with a frying pan ready to murder a villain but its just izuku

izuku, w the most shit-eating grin, explains that you only legaly have to register your quirk when it shows up, or after you are tested when you are five, whichever happens first so, legally, he doesnt need to register because it would be seen as voluntary updating

aizawa is holding the papers for the kids hes observing right then

and yagi sighs

basically, quirk test? shinsou is s w e a t i n g bakugo looks a little worried for his new friend but no one would notice if they weren’t izuku

shinsou turns to him like "my quirk is mental im going to fa I L"

izuku grabs his hand and he feels this rush of energy, you can almost see it dancing along his skin. izuku grins

"i think you'll find you do just fine"

(izuku gave him like,, less than a full 1% but hes like doubled in strength and speed and hes??? shook?? bc whats happening)

aizawa is lost bc shinso has a mental quirk he shouldnt be doing this well, so he tries to cancel it

nothing happens and aizawa is so lost??? bc shinsou is kinda reedy and not super fit but hes placing solidly in the middle

and he noticing that shinso’s eyes seem to be glowing and so are they eyes of the kid coming in second and gives a big "hm,mmmm"

anyway, ball pitch, he cancels izukus quirk and turns to look at shinso, his eyes are dim. izuku looks sheepish but also like hes ready to throw down and its an interesting look

aizawa just sighs "you know what? just throw the ball."

izuku g r i n s and yeets it into next year using more of his quirk than he like,, really should have? to prove a point (his finger is bruised, not broken. he used 25%)

anyway aizawa shows the results, shinso is in the middle, izuku second, hagakure is last and sadly shes not getting expelled bc plot reasons – im sorry I have a thing against her shes perfectly valid probably im just still convinced shes the traitor even tho its totally a teacher

he calls izuku out on it but does admit he didnt say you couldnt help eachother, so its kind on him. shinso looks like hes going to pass out with relief

Hagekure is the traitor in this au though, 100%

during the camp she is at the pick up zone, hiding. izuku pulls bakugo out of the way, they all seem safe

but

she pushes izuku in through the portal as it closes

fyi afo takes her quirk and leaves her braindead in the nomu factory bc shes not useful anymore. also because now he needs to have a really awkward conversation with his son he was hoping to avoid

also usj? is really melodramatic

he gives aizawa 4% which is the max nighteye could hold without it hurting

aizawa takes a hit from the nomu and he reaches out his hand

izuku cries as he gives him an extra 4% and aizawa gets free but he can see bruises forming with every step his teacher takes

I was thinking about it, the common reasoning people give for Ozpin being evil is that he’s conscripting young people into a hopeless war, and it is strikingly similar to BNHA. 

If Ozpin is a bad person for supposedly forcing people into an army, why isn’t All Might a bad person for giving Izuku One for All? That’s a far more clear-cut example of this accusation. Why isn’t Yagi bad for lying to Izuku and not telling him about AFO? I mean, it could be considered manipulation right? He met this young boy desperate to be a hero, with almost no self-confidence, and handed him a dangerous quirk without also telling him about the immortal villain trying to kill him. He also didn’t tell class 1-A about being All Might so

Ozpin set up schools, he trained people to protect civilians and communities from danger. At what point did he ever claim he wanted to throw lives at Salem? He even says he hopes his children never have to see war. Furthermore, being a Huntsman is a JOB. Lots of people don’t go to the schools, lots of people do other stuff, and lots of Huntsmen retire (Oobleck, Port, Taiyang etc). Every Huntsman we’ve seen wants to fight Grimm for their own personal reasons: fame, money, duty etc. No one harboured any grand goal of slaughtering all the Grimm and prior to V6 no one cared if the Grimm had an end. 

The only person who’s justifiably mad is Qrow, but he hauls off and punches a kid before fucking off to get drunk and useless so he’s lost my sympathy. Also Ozpin said he’s told friends the truth in the past and enough of them turned out like Lionheart that he decided to hide things. Ya’ll acting like he should have just implicitly trusted the protagonists when prior to V6 he’d only spoken to them maybe 3 times as their Headmaster, but he should have just sensed their innate “better than everyone else” aura. 

TLDR: Ozpin isn’t creating a draft, he isn’t forcing people into a war, he’s training people to protect those who cannot help themselves while working to find a way to kill Salem. He didn’t kill Pyrrha, Cinder did and Pyrrha chose to fight. Don’t erase female agency because you disliked the outcome, that’s literally Hazel’s problem! RWBY+ are being hypocrites by lying to Ironwood, and Yang hasn’t told anyone that Raven is the Spring Maiden so *adds to the hypocrisy pile* interesting
